District 6 Reapings
Myra Borden (14) District 6 Female
I sat in my house, wiping blood around. I had gotten a fun kill in today. The mayor! Nobody would suspect me, they never do. I'm just too good at this. I can get two kills a month, sometimes more. I was at 212 kills and on my way to 666. Maybe I would start killing two people a week. I could make a second bracelet. The first one was pretty hard to add more hair onto. I wish people would scream more when I killed them. For some reason they usually just stared at me. I didn't care much, I still killed them. I did just get a kill, but maybe I should go out and get another one. It was fun, and the peacekeepers were so incredibly dumb that I could stab one of them in front of the rest and get away with it. I might as well go kill someone.
I left the house and saw a peacekeeper. I decided to be a bit risky and talk to him.
"Hello Sir, what are you here for?" I ask. He tells me that he is looking for the mayor. I say
"Oh yeah I killed him, the body is in my house." Then I stab him in the throat, blood gushes out. I laugh and remove his helmet. His face is one of shock, and it's already pale. I pull out a clump of hair, deciding I can sort through to find the best one later. I have plenty of time. I don't make a noise as I drag his body into my house with ease. I chop it up and throw the useless parts away, keeping the skull on a wall of shelves with all my other kills, way back to my parents. Life was easy without them. Whenever I needed food, I killed a shopkeeper and took what I needed. I paid bills with their savings. They had lots of money left over, I didn't know what for. Maybe they had a budget for raising a child. It didn't matter anymore though. They were still dead.

The sun frightened me. So did grass, clouds, candles, roller coasters, cats, flowers, carpets, vipers, carpet vipers, sparrows, mockingjays, sheep, cars, horses, motorcycles, soda, blood, cardboard and pretty much everything else. I spent my days curled up in bed hiding from the world. But today was going to be different. Not because I was brave, but because I had just been reaped. The one time I go outside and this happens. I haven't left my house since I was 8 and now the first time I do I'm being dragged off to my death. A peacekeeper had picked me up with one arm and set me on stage. The other kid up there smiled at me and I smiled back, until I saw the blood under her fingernails. The smile became a malicious grin and I blacked out. I woke up in the goodbyes room. My mom was there crying. She said "At least you are going in with Myra, she's the sweetest girl. It's sad that she was reaped, but you should ally with her." I would have protested, but I'm terrified of arguing. So here I was, planning to ally with someone with bloody hands and an evil smile. This day would have been better if I had pretended I was dead until tomorrow. Then I could stay home and hide. Instead I was going on this trip to my death. There was no way I could survive, and I knew it. So I just had to hope it was quick and painless.
Yo whats up guys. Sorry for the short chapter but both of these characters dont have much to them. They are both caricatures/archetypes which is perfect for my story lol. Thank you so much to LadyCordeliaStuart and LilaWhales for these two. See y'all soon with the last reaping!
