The sounds of thunder and gunfire were heard against a black screen. A wide shot of Kuroyuri showed the empty, degraded town. A billowing cloud of dust and pieces of wood rose in the distance around the top of a tree that was barely visible above the town rooftops. Jaune, Ruby, Ren, Nora and I all fell back by the dead cherry tree. Qrow was still unconscious and laid in the back of the rickshaw, Draco on the floor beside him and Saphyra hiding behind the rickshaw, occasionally peaking out.
The Nuckelavee came into view, twitching its various body parts. It sent out a shockwave roar that caused all of us to flinch. The Grimm looked at the teenagers and turned its head to look at the rickshaw and began running toward it.
"No, you don't!" I shouted, rushing towards it, before a arm similar to a Geist's shot out from nowhere, wrapping around my neck and pulling me towards it, through an entire building.
"Sai!" Nora shouted.
"Qrow, Draco, Saphyra! Damn!" Jaune snapped, running in front of the rickshaw, slamming his shield into the horse's chest and slashing its neck to force the Nucklavee to back off, before looking back towards where I was pulled to worriedly. "Sai..." He said anxiously...
After I was pulled through a building, who or whatever grabbed me let go, causing me to hit the ground hard and roll several times before I could look up. I got to one knee and looked up to see Viper, but she now had several body parts missing and replaced with Grimm parts, including the tail of a Creep, right arm like a geist, left arm like a beringel and the horns and back spikes of the Nuckelavee. "Sai Blade. We meet again. And this time, you WILL DIE." She said. And unbeknownst to either of us, Cinder was watching the whole thing with a seer Grimm.
I was shocked at her new form. "My gods. What have you done to yourself?" I asked, somewhat horrified and disgusted.
"What I had to in order to get revenge. For disgracing me, for killing Tyrian and most of all, what you did to my brother!" She snapped.
I went blank for a minute. "Uhh... What did I do to your brother again?" I asked.
Back in the Land of Darkness...
Taipan now had bandages all around his hip, making a giant ball of bandages as he sat in a chair, listening to Watts as he had an X-ray of his hips on a light board. "Alright. So, your testicle started HERE." Watts began, pointing to where it normally should be with his stick. " Then went here, here, looped around here and ended up HERE." He explained, pointing to the upper left plate of the pelvis, then down below Taipan's right foot, back up to its proper place, before coming to rest in his left foot.
"Uh... What about the other one?" Taipan asked.
"Oh, it's dead." Watts informed him.
Back to us...
"Oh, right. Sorry. But you guys sent me into a blind rage. Bad shit happens when I go into a blind rage. He's lucky he still has a lower body. Tyrian didn't get that luxury." I explained.
"Enough of your insolence! Die!" She shouted, lashing out at me with her Geist arm, which I rolled out of the way of, before she gripped the ground with it and reeled herself in, slamming her horns into my chest, sending me flying back into a building, before rushing in and throwing a devastating haymaker with her beringel arm, punching me through several more buildings...
Jaune rejoined the fight to see Ruby shooting at the creature, but got slapped into the ground by one of its extended hands. Nora was grabbed next. The Nuckelavee let them both go and turned around when Ren fired at it from its other side with StormFlower. It used both hands to grab both of Ren's and prevent more shots.
"Guys, keep moving, go in a circle!" Jaune instructed. Easily distracted, the Nuckelavee let go of Ren when Nora fired at him. The team followed Jaune's advice and they circled their enemy, those with firepower firing and Jaune coming in to slash at the foreleg with his sword. The Nuckelavee used its hind hooves to kick Jaune back, where he landed near Ruby. He got up and glared at the monster, before sheathing his sword.
Ruby was caught off-guard by Jaune's sudden action. "What are you doing?" She asked, but suddenly, Jaune released the side-blades out of the shield, wielding Crocea Mors as a single weapon. Ruby smiled at this and fired as Jaune ran in and was able to land a successful slash on one of the hindlegs.
The horse portion of the beast roared while the torso uprighted and its head cocked to look at Jaune, a bit stunned. If extended both its arms and swung them round, creating a rotary attack that knocked aside Jaune, Ren, Nora and Ruby in that order. When it pulled back its arms, the torso curled in on itself and the spines on its back extended several inches further out. The Nuckelavee roared into the sky, causing Jaune and Ruby to cover their ears...
I flew back in at blinding speeds and slammed into Viper, knocking her back and making her roll back across the ground a few times, before getting up just in time to recieve a fireball to the face, staggering her once again, forcing her to one knee. "I pity you. You became so obsessed with revenge and killing me, you allowed Cinder to turn you into a twisted freak." I told her.
She growled at this. "It takes a freak to kill a freak!" She shouted, slamming her beringel fist into the ground, creating a small shockwave and knocking me off balance. She then shot out her geist arm, impaling me through the chest. I coughed up blood at this, before she hit me with another powerful hit from the beringel arm, staggering me back, allowing her to hit me with her tail, her back no to me, at which point she jumped back into me, stabbing the spikes on her back into me, then grabbing me with the geist arm, swinging and extending her arm, smashing me through several more houses. She then broke out into maniacal laughter. "Yes! You will pay for everything you have done! And once you're out of the way, Cinder will destroy the other combat schools and Salem will rule!" She cried out.
I growled at this through the heap of broken building I was laying in, coughing up more blood. (Something's wrong... I'm getting slower and weaker... I should've been able to dodge all of those attacks and that first charge should've split her in half! And my wounds aren't healing like they should...) I thought, looking at my wounds, sealing up, but at a snail's pace, blood still pouring out all the while...
Ren ran up the cherry tree and fired from one of the heavier branches. This, however, got the Nucklavee's attention, the monster shooting it's arm out at Ren, who tried to dive to the next branch, but was caught and slammed against a wall, the monster readying it's arm to finish him.
"Ruby!" Nora called. Ruby nodded and used Crescent Rose to launch Nora in between Ren and the Nuckelavee's would-be fatal strike with its other hand. Magnhild was pinned to the building above Ren, with Nora dangling from it. Ren looked up at Nora.
"Stop looking! Only Sai gets to look there!" Nora said, pulling her skirt to hide herself.
"Ah-ugh." Ren stuttered, covering his eyes.
The Nuckelavee flung Nora around until she was knocked to the ground with her Aura depleted. Ren was shocked at this, before becoming furious and slashing the blades of StormFlower at the wrist of the hand holding him to the wall. He followed by sinking them into the Grimm flesh and firing repeatedly at the arm. Jaune came up from behind the creature and slashed at its hindleg again. It roared, but did not release Ren. Ren dug in with his blade again and used the leverage to shove the hand off of him. He landed on his back, but quickly bounced onto his feet and went after the creature, exhibiting reckless behavior, his eyes wild. He rushed in, slashing at the arms. It knocked him back, but Ren did not relent, running in yet again.
"Ren! Knock it off!" Jaune shouted.
Ren ignored him and rushed in once again, but the Nuckelavee grabbed him and slapped him on the ground, causing him to lose his grip on StormFlower, before it flung him to the ground beside Nora, his Aura also depleted. The two partners rose together, Nora first. Ren's eyes were only on the creature and Nora tackled him and dragged him under a building.
The Nuckelavee advanced, but Jaune used Crocea Mors to block the Nuckelavee's front hooves from its forward gallop toward Ren and Nora. It pushed him down and followed with extending its arm out behind him to Ruby, attempting to snatch her. She evaded by jumping onto a roof and firing at it, then had to jump out of the way again as it made a second attempt to snatch her. Ren attempted to rejoin the fight, but Nora held him back by the wrist, her head down.
"Nora, let go! Nora, they're going to get hurt if we don't—" Ren started, but then, without even looking up, Nora slapped Ren. He stopped and turned to face her, at which point she finally lets go, putting her hands in her lap.
"No. I won't let you kill yourself like this. After everything we've been through, I won't let it end." She told him and raised her head, but Ren saw his memory of Nora as a scared little girl before blinking and seeing her normally. Like back then, she had tears in her eyes. "Not like this." She said.
Viper and I had been fighting somewhat evenly, I still had the speed and strength advantage, but she had ridiculous versatility with her Grimm parts and managed to land more wounds on me. I managed to knock her back with a powerful kick, before trying to run in and help the others. However, her Grimm arm wrapped around my neck and started reeling me back in. I growled at this, but looked back at the others. "Nora! Ren! Remember what I said! You're strong! Together you can overcome this! As a team, the 4 of you are unstoppable! Now send that thing back to the hell it came from!" I shouted to them, before letting myself be reeled in and knocking Viper back with a flaming backhand.
Everyone heard my words and nodded, a new flame of determination being light inside them. Ren sighed and pulled the knife his father gave him out of his boot. He held it in both hands. Nora placed her hand on the hilt with his and closed his fingers around it. She looked at him with a fierce, determined expression. "We can do this." She told him.
Ren looked at her with big eyes before nodding in agreement. Together they stepped out from under the building. Nora picked up Magnhild and the two were promptly joined by Ruby and Jaune.
"Ren. Jaune and I can take care of its arms." Ruby told him.
"I'll take care of the horse." Nora added.
"And I'll take care of the rest." Ren finished.
Nora jumped to a roof and Ruby shot from other rooftops, baiting the Nuckelavee into using its arms to try to snatch her. She succeeded in maneuvering it so that she used the tip of her scythe to pin one of its arms into the ground. While the creature flinched and raged, Ren's knife boomeranged into its flank. It turned and attempted to snatch Jaune. However, using Jaune's shield, Ren launched from the roof to force the limb to the ground before it could touch him.
"Now!" Ren called. Jaune ran in and stabbed his sword through the Nuckelavee's arm into the ground. "Nora!" Ren called once more.
From the roof, Nora stood with her back to the edge and leaned back, her face calm and her eyes closed, before she smirked and freefell, spinning to smash Magnhild into the horse head and eliminated that portion of the creature. Restrained and half-destroyed, the Nuckelavee's roars of anguish continued but weakened...
I was thrown to the ground again after being whipped around like a ragdoll by Viper's geist arm, now about 50 feet away from her. I struggled to get up, glaring at her. "I don't get it... Sure, you've got Grimm arms, but I should still be stronger than this..." I growled.
"It's not about overpowering your opponent. It's about taking away the power they have.) Emerald's voice rang out as the Seer Grimm made itself known, Emerald and Cinder's faces appearing on it.
"Cinder... Emerald..." I growled.
"I hope you're enjoying the show." Viper told them.
"How does it feel to be weak and in pain, Sai?! That's how you left Cinder, so I hope you're suffering as bad as she is, if not worse!" Emerald snapped.
"She'll be suffering a lot more when I shove my red hot feet up her ass and down her throat." I countered.
"Aah! You bastard! Die already!" Emerald snapped, before Cinder calmed her down and whispered something to her "Like I said, it's about taking away your enemy's power. Remember your fight with Cinder, when she almost ripped your stinking heart out? She also left a Grimm bug in there. It's been in there this whole time, feeding on your heart and weakening you. By now, it's probably 3 times the size of your useless heart. It's in there, just clinging on and weighing you down. So, Viper may get the pleasure of ending your life, but you can die knowing that Cinder was the one who killed you. Just like Pyrrha." Emerald taunted.
I finally realized the problem and smirked, giving a small considerate nod of my head. "Is that all it is. then?" I asked, shouting and detonating my heart inside my chest, destroying the Grimm bug and leaving a large hole in my chest where my heart should be, dropping face-first to the ground, looking dead.
Viper was shocked at this, before smirking. "It's over, Cinder. I guess the bastard just couldn't handle it." She said.
However, now free from what was weakening it, my body instantly regenerated. A massive pillar of fire then erupted from my location and caught their attentions, before I stepped out of the column with a smirk. I then disappeared and reappeared in front Viper, driving my left fist into her gut, lifting her off the ground and depleting her aura, this time causing her to cough up blood, before I smashed my right fist into the left side of her face, caving in her skull and killing her, causing her to bounce off the ground twice before coming to a stop as a trail of fire suddenly ignited along the path I took to reach her.
"NO!" Emerald cried as Cinder glared at me furiously.
I then outstretched my hand towards Viper's body, heating the air around it until it ignited and she quickly burnt to ash. I then looked at Cinder and Emerald. "The same fate awaits the two of you. Until then, live out your last days knowing that any attempts to stop us will fail, that whatever your goal is, I shall always prevent you from reaching it and your hopes, dreams and ambitions will all crumble away to nothing. That I will find you and I make you suffer for every life you took at Beacon, every life and dream you ruined, for everyone who so much as stubbed their toe during the fall of Beacon, before I end your lives. So until that day... live in fear." I told them, destroying the Seer Grimm with a fireball, before dropping to one knee in exhaustion...
Ren walked up to it and took his knife back, slashing more at the flesh in the motion. He stood before it and its humanoid head looked back at him. It roared into Ren's face, but the roar was too weak and didn't even cause Ren to flinch. Ren then glared at the beast and flipped the knife into a reverse grip. (For my mother.) He said in his mind, cutting off the Grimm's left arm. He grabbed the Nuckelavee's right horn to hold it off. (For my father.) He continued mentally, spinning to cut off the Grimm's right arm. (For all those that you've slain.) He went on in his head, striking a gash into the flailing torso.
Ren closed his eyes. "For myself!" He finished aloud as he opened his eyes and swung with the knife, beheading the Grimm. It died in a pillar of black smoke. Ren dropped the knife and breathed out a sigh of relief only to be tackled by a giggling, triumphant Nora. He hugged her back and gave a single laugh.
Ruby ran to the back seat of the rickshaw where Qrow was left during the fight. She breathed a sigh of relief that he was still alive.
"It's quiet. Good job, kiddo." He said softly.
"Guys! I think I hear something!" Jaune called.
However, everyone's hopeful smiles turned to looks of horror as a Grimm emerged through the smoke. It looked like a baboon with the muscle mass of a gorilla, with a tail like a pitchfork and antlers like an elk, easily as tall as the Nuckelavee rider at the shoulders. It let out a massive roar before barreling at Jaune and Ruby, swinging its massive arm and smacking them back into the rickshaw, their auras depleted. Nora and Ren rushed in to help, but where simply knocked beside them by a swing of its tail.
"Nora! Ruby! Guys! No!" I shouted, trying to get up and help them, but found myself exhausted and unable to move. (Damn... I took too much of a beating from Viper. And having to regenerate an entire organ while already weakened didn't help.) I mentally cursed myself.
The creature prepared to move in, before a voice no one expected called out. "I am giving you ONE warning!" Saphyra called as she rounded the rickshaw and stood between the grimm and team RNJR. "Leave my uncles and aunties ALONE, you big meanie!" She demanded.
"Saphyra! No!" Jaune cried out.
"Saphy, sweetie, that's very brave, but I doubt that sweater of your protects well against Grimm horns. Or fists. Or tails." Nora said worriedly.
"Saphyra!" I shouted, struggling back to my feet, but staggered and had to use a building for support.
"What can you do in that condition?" Damion asked, his spirit appearing beside me.
"Save my daughter, that's what." I said taking a step forward, only to falter from pain and exhaustion.
"You'll just make her lose another parent. The only one she has left. She can handle this." He said.
"But..." I started.
"You're her father. Trust her. She is half you and half Pyrrha, remember. What do you think you get when you mix fire and magnets, anyway?" He asked.
The Grimm suddenly rushed forward, raising its fists and preparing to bring them down on her. "Saphyra!" Everyone shouted.
However, much to our shock, molten metal suddenly shot out of her palms and created a dome around her, that quickly cooled into a dome of metal around her, the monster's fists slamming into it, but doing nothing, before the area where the fists collided turned orange and steel spikes shot out and stuck te beast in place. The top then burst off and Sapyhra rose into the air. "Very well..." She said in a sinister monotone, beautiful skeletal titanium wings coming from her back. (That's the best I can describe them. For a picture, YouTube angel of darkness nightcore. Should be the first result.)
"Whoa... This is a pleasant surprise." I said.
"We shall do this your way..." She said, still in her scary monotone, holding out her hand. Suddenly, more metal shot from her palm and enveloped her body and took form, cooling to reveal her in green insect-like armor with two menacing, scythe-like blades on her arm. "This shall suffice." She said.
"Kind of looks like what Scyther would look like as a human." Damion commented.
She then flew forward and blinding speeds and easily decapitated the beast. "What..." Jaune started.
"The..." Ruby continued.
"FUCK!" I said in shock and awe.
Like the Nuckelavee before it, the beast then turned into smoke and Saphyra landed on the ground, the armor turning back into molten liquid and running off her like water, turning back to Team RNJR and smiling. "Saphyra, that was amazing!" Jaune said.
"Yeah, it was! You saved us!" Nora said, picking her up and hugging her.
"That was incredible! And your weapon and armor were so awesome!" Ruby said.
"I believe Sai was right. You may indeed already be past our level." Ren said, walking up and placing a hand on her shoulder.
She giggled at this. "Thank you, uncle Ren." She said.
"That was amazing, Saphyra... I'm proud of you..." I said as I walked up, taking her from Nora and hugging her.
"Thank you, Papa!" She said happily. "Do you think Mama will be proud of me, too?" She asked.
I cringed a bit at the mention of Pyrrha, before smiling and nodding. "I know she would." I said.
I then looked back at everyone, who all looked at me and nodded. "She needs to know." Jaune said.
I sighed and looked back at Saphyra. "Saphyra... I have something I have to tell you..." I said.
She looked down sadly at this. "Mommy is dead... I know." She said, to which I cringed again. "I have her memories. I saw her last moments. She never blamed you. She knew what she was doing and that she might die. She never expected you to come and save her." She explained. "I know your were only trying to protect me. But I also know we can get her back once we defeat Cinder, right?" She asked.
I got down on one knee and set her back on her feet. "That's right. And I'll never stop until Cinder is a pile of ash and your mother is here with us again." I promised.
"Okay, Papa." She said, the two of us hugging once again
"Oh... Look at the birdies..." Draco lisped, pointing out at two incoming figures flying towards us.
"Those are no birds... Those are airships!" Jaune cried out happily.
In the courtyard, two wood and metal airships were coming in to land as Draco and Qrow FINALLY recovered and got back to their feet. A man in a brown flight suit with an air tank on his back walked alongside Qrow with Ruby walking alongside them, her hand on Qrow's shoulder to support him and the man ready in case he fell. Shortly after, the two rescue ships take off, everyone on board.
"How did you find us out here?" Jaune asked.
"We were on patrol and saw the smoke. Nobody's been out here for years, thought something might be wrong." The Mistral pilot explained.
"I almost can't believe we all made it. Looks like Sai kept his promise after all." Ruby said.
"Ruby." Jaune said to get her attention.
She looked up and saw the flourishing city before them. "We made it, Uncle Qrow." She said, looking at him.
"Yeah... You really did. Good job, Ruby." He said.
Nora and I sat on the edge of the open rescue airship, our legs dangling. Saphyra was now napping peacefully, laying on her side, her head in my lap held a comforting hand on her shoulder. Ren leaned against a wall and watched us, smiling with his arms crossed. I looked at Nora and smiled, placing my free hand on hers. "You were all amazing back there. You took on a Grimm that destroyed a whole town. I should've been there to help you, but you didn't even need it. The four of you truly are incredible." I said.
Nora smiled at this and scooted closer, resting her head on my shoulder. "Aww, it's not your fault. You had your own fight to deal with. And from what I saw, it was as tough as ours was. Even Saphy stepped up and did some fighting. She'd make her mother proud." She said, gently stroking Saphyra's hair. However, she suddenly grinned mischievously. "You know... I still want one." She said, causing me to go pale as the airships flew in to the city.
Ruby walked into a double bed accommodation. It had barren furnishings: two beds, a large desk and a nightstand. Qrow slept under the blankets of one of the beds, Saphyra napping in the other bed. Ruby set the collapsed Crescent Rose on the empty bed and walked over to Qrow, putting her hand on his head.
She walked over and sat at the desk, picking up the pen and writing on the notepad.
(Hey sis, I hope my letters have been reaching you and Dad. Hand-written stuff's never been super reliable, but I guess it's all we've got these days. Anyway, in case you haven't been getting them, I want to say I'm sorry for leaving the way I did. I know you told me it was a reckless idea, and after everything I've been through, I can definitely say you were right. It's been hard, on all of us, and I'm not just talking about the monsters we fought out here.) Ruby said in her thoughts as she wrote.
An Atlesian pilot counted Lien. "Okay, you can hide out back in the cargo hold. I'll take you as far as I can, but if we get caught, you're on your own. Understand?" He asked her.
Weiss nodded affirmatively and began walking forward.
(Every step we made took us further and further from the things we knew. And every morning we woke up wondering, if just over the next hill would be something good or something terrible.) Ruby's narration resumed.
The airship took off and the scene changed to Blake in Ghira's office. She placed a small chest on the desk and opened it. Inside were various objects, including a flag with the new White Fang emblem, a spiral notebook and a book.
(It's scary not knowing what's going to happen next. And the things we do know now—just how bad it can get—it almost makes it all worse.) Ruby's voiceover continued.
Yang was on the same ship Blake took to Menagerie. She was looking at a ticket and a photograph of Team STRQ, with Bumblebee nearby.
(You told me once that bad things just happen. You were angry when you said it, and I didn't want to listen.) Ruby's narration went on.
Taiyang stared at a framed photo of Team STRQ.
(But you were right, bad things do happen, all the time, every day. Which is why I'm out here, to do whatever I can, wherever I can, and hopefully do some good.) Ruby's thoughts explained.
Zwei barked at Tai and he smiled, looking across the room at a framed photo of Team RWBY. On the photo, "New Friends!" was written with a heart shape drawn near the writing.
(We've all lost something, and I've seen what loss can do to people.) Ruby's voiceover elaborated.
Jaune was in his room with a frustrated look on his face as he stared at Crocea Mors propped up against the wall.
(But if we gave up every time we lost, then we'd never be able to move forward.) Ruby's voice warned.
Nora and Ren opened the door. Jaune smiled as Ren set his father's dagger next to Crocea Mors. Nora sat beside Jaune and put a hand on on his shoulder, while Ren sat on the bed behind them and rested his hand on Nora's shoulder.
However, Draco and I then passed by, stopping at the door and waving, a massive grin growing on Nora's face. "Out." She said, grabbing Jaune and Ren, dragging them to the door.
"Wait, what?" Jaune asked, before yelping as he was dragged along.
"Nora!" Ren protested as he was dragged as well.
She shoved them out of the room, before grabbing me. "Wait, wha- AAH!" I shouted as she dragged me into the room, slamming and locking the door behind us. Draco, Jaune and Ren looking at each other with confused and slightly concerned faces.
(We'd never have a chance to see what beautiful things the future might have waiting for us. We'd never have the strength to change; whether it's ourselves, or the world around us.) Ruby continued her thoughts.
Weiss, sitting on top of her suitcase in the airship's cargo hold, gazed out into the sunset and smiled as the airship flew over the Atlesian mountains. In Menagerie, Blake put down the current White Fang flag and picked up the old white and blue flag. She lowered it and smiled at Nicolas, who stood beside her and put a hand on her should, while Sun was sitting in a chair with his arms behind his head in a relaxed position.
(And we'd never be there for other people who might one day be lost without us. This is what we were training for, Yang, to become Huntresses, to be the ones to stand up and do something about all the bad in the world.) Ruby went on.
The Captain and First Mate smiled and waved goodbye as Yang drove Bumblebee away from the port, headed toward Mistral. Elsewhere, Oscar sat in the dining car of the train as it crossed a bridge surrounded by mountains and water. He was staring at a poster advertising Haven Academy. The poster showed two figures: a female with an axe and a male with a rifle. The poster read: "HAVEN ACADEMY: BE A HERO".
"Approaching, City of Mistral." The train announcer... well, announced.
(Because there are plenty of people out there who are still lost and even more who will try to gain everything they can from their sorrow.) Ruby continued
Ilia Amitola landed on a rooftop in Menagerie in the night, as Corsac and Fennec Albain waited for her. Ilia got on one knee and lowered her head after they turned to face her.
(Believe me when I say, I know it can feel impossible, like every single day is a struggle against some unstoppable monster we can never hope to beat.) Ruby illustrated.
In the Land of Darkness, Cinder Fall snapped her fingers, having defeated at least the two Beowolves disintegrating on the ground in her continued training. Mercury was leaning on the wall with his arms crossed. Emerald put two fingers on her head, concentrating as she generated a hallucination of me in my devil form, dropping to my hands and knees in defeat, retaking my human form and begging for mercy. Cinder focused a large stream of black fire on the hallucination from her right hand, glaring at it with her eye glowing. Nearby, Salem was watching, looking pleased.
(But we have to try, if not for us, then for the people we've already—) Ruby continued in her thoughts, before she stopped and crossed out the last few words as she altered her statement. (Then for the people we haven't lost yet.) She corrected in her mind. As Ruby finished writing, the note was shown and two tears fell on the page. (I miss you so much. I miss Weiss and Blake too. But I think you'd all be proud to know that I made it to Mistral. All of us did, and we even ran into Uncle Qrow along the way.) She finished.
Qrow pushed himself over with one arm and grunted while propping up his head with the other hand. Ruby stopped writing to check on him. "Hey, aren't I normally the one saving you?" He asked. Ruby wiped tears from her right eye and smiled down at Qrow. The narration of Ruby's letter resumed as the corner where Qrow's Weapon and Ozpin's Cane were resting was shown.
(He's going to take us to see Professor Lionheart, the headmaster of Haven Academy. And he told us some things that you're gonna wanna hear, things I can't trust will make it to you in this letter. But maybe, if you join us, he could tell you himself. With Beacon gone they'll need Dad at Signal more than ever, and I know you need to focus on yourself before I can expect you to come out with me. But it sure would be great to get Team RWBY back together again.) Ruby continued to narrate.
The scene transitioned to Yang riding down a path on Bumblebee, before coming to a stop at a crossroads and looking at a sign post. The signpost pointed right for Mistral and left for Kuroyuri, but the sign for Kuroyuri had "BANDITS" spray painted across it in big, red letters.
"You are in so much trouble when I find you." She said, clutching the sleeve of Damion's jacket. "Damion... I hope you're watching out for me." She said, looking up at the sky.
(Until next time, your loving sister, Ruby Rose.) Ruby finished.
Yang smiled as she continued to ride her motorcycle.
No... Wait... There's more... (Oh! Uh, PS. I'll be sure to give you the address of where we're staying in Mistral! I'd love to hear back from you and Dad, and I can't wait to fill you in on whatever's going to happen next! Now that we've made it across Anima I really think things are gonna start going our way.) NOW Ruby finished.
The scene transitioned to Leonardo Lionheart's office, showing a ladder against a bookshelf with a few books taken out. The previously described mahogany desk was seen along with a plaque and loose papers. On a small table lied a tea set, with gray colored teapots and cups decorated with green accents. The view changed to reveal that Watts was sitting at the table together with Leonardo Lionheart. He picked up a tea cup and put his feet up on the table.
"Why thank you, Professor. Salem always did say you were..." He started, taking a sip. "Quite hospitable." He finished.
The scene cut to black.
Jaune and Ren stood at the locked door their room with a confused looks on their faces as he heard strange noises coming from behind it. Suddenly, they could hear me saying something while panting heavily. "Demon... Slayer... BLAST!" I shouted, the whole building trembling as a red and black beam of energy could be seen shooting out of the roof, along with Nora screaming in pleasure.
Finally, the noises stopped and after a few moments, I opened the door without a shirt on, panting heavily with several bruises and bite marks all over my neck and torso as Nora was still on the bed in her "boop" shirt and pink boyshorts, a VERY satisfied look on her face. "Jaune... Ren..." I panted.
"Yes?" They both acknowledged.
"Don't EVER stick your dicks in crazy." I said exhaustively.
"I don't know what that means." Jaune said.
"I know." I said, falling back and passing out.
Qrow and Draco were seen sitting at a bar sometime later, fully healed from their wound. Oscar approached them from behind. "MAN! We never needed this stuff more!" Draco said, downing his drink.
"Are you even old enough to drink?" Qrow asked.
"I'm as old as Yang and she enjoys a Strawberry Sunrise every now and then." Draco countered, getting another drink.
"Fair enough." Qrow said.
"Excuse me?" Oscar asked to get his attention.
Qrow turned around to face Oscar. "You know, I don't think they allow kids in here, pipsqueak." He told the boy before him.
"Shut up, I'm getting there." Oscar said quietly, looking at his left arm as it moved.
Qrow gave him a questioning look. Draco leaned in towards him."This kid's crazy..." Draco whispered.
"Um, I'm supposed to tell you, I'd like my cane back?" Oscar said unsurely.
Qrow's eyes widened for a moment in surprise. "Wait, what?" Draco asked.
"It's good to see you again, Oz." Qrow said as he withdrew Ozpin's Cane in its compact mode and tossed it to Oscar, who pressed a button on the hilt, extending the baton. Oscar grasped the baton with the other hand, surprised, before looking at Qrow with a determined face as the scene cut to black. "Wait, WHAT?!" Draco screamed.
