Sorry that the chapters are kinda short but now that we are getting into more action they should start to get longer. Also I am starting school soon so until then I will post every day, after I don't even know if I will have a schedule.

Chapter 3:Who are these people ?

Harry's POV:

The great hall was buzzing with the chatter like never before. I assumed it had to do with the visitors from other wizarding schools that were arriving today. My assumption was correct, from what I could hear it was mostly about the mysterious americans.

At the start of term feast Professor Dumbledore gave only bits of what was happening.

He told us that for the first time in a while the Tri-Wizard tournament would be taking place at hogwarts. It was now named the Quad-Wizard tournament because of a now 4th participating school. The schools competing were Beauxbaton from france, Durmstrang from well know one really knows somewhere up north,and Delphi Academy for the Magically Gifted from America. Hermione had a fit at that because she had never heard of that school.

It was dinner time and the visitors were to be arriving at at any moment. Dumbledore stood up and the noise subsided, but you could still here whispers of conversations.

"As you know our visitors will be arriving tonight" Dumbledore said,"I would like to say something regarding the Americans." Everyone perked up at that. I also heard that all conversation has stopped, it was completely silent.

Dumbledore continued his speech,"They are very,very powerful, even more powerful than myself." What? More powerful than Dumbledore? Yeah right I thought.

"I would advise you to not make them angry." He said with a very stern look on his face. I glanced around a few people looked horrified, others looked like they thought he was joking but didn't say anything, and some, like Hermione, were trying to figure out what he meant by this.

We were all jolted out of whatever we were thinking by a sound from outside. We all ran out the door to see what had caused the disturbance. I had barely reached the door when there it was. A big, no HUGE carriage pulled by enormous horses touched down in front of hogwarts. A chorus of oohs and ahhs and wows ran through crowd especially after a gigantic woman stepped out of the carriage.

Dumbledore ran up to greet her and said,"Madame Maxime, how lovely to see you again!" Madame Maxime replied with a heavy french accent,"Dumbledore, great to see you again to,has Karkaroff or Brunner arrived?" Dumbledore shook his head and said"We are still waiting on them."

As if on cue a ship rose out of the lake and came to the shore where it anchored itself on the beach . The Beauxbaton students, who were apparently all girls, had filed into the great hall, I along with all of the boys at hogwarts stared as they passed so gracefully, ron leaned over and whispered ,"They must be veela!" I had to agree that these girls were really, I mean REALLY, pretty. Hermione just rolled her eyes.

Then we looked back at the ship and saw that the Durmstrang students were exiting. I heard someone yell,"Look, it's Viktor Krum!" I looked and I saw in fact that Viktor Krum, the Bulgarian quidditch team seeker, was exiting with a man that I took to be there headmaster.

"Dumbledore, how nice of you to host us!" The man said while shaking Dumbledore's hand. "It is not a problem Karkaroff." Dumbledore said while gesturing for him to go inside with his students. I was still gaping at Krum, I should have known he was still in school but I was still in shock.

Then suddenly I saw an object in the distance, wait was it, flying. Yes it was, and it was getting closer.

After a a minute or two I saw it was a giant warship.

It reached us and a boy flew down and said to us all,"Clear a space!" We all backed up giving the ship more room. The strange boy yelled up to the ship,"Okay repair boy, all clear!" I looked and saw that there was a boy busy at the wheel with, a wii controller? He called down,"Thanks Superman, now get out of the way!" Repair boy? Superman? Wii controllers? I was really confused and then I noticed something that really made me question what was happening.

As the ship was coming down I saw that there was a dragon head, well a bronze figure head on the front of the ship, and it was moving.

The ship landed and the boy at the controls waved the wii controller and the sails were rained in. The boy then said,"Good Job, Festus!" I thought he was talking to the other boy who had landed on the dock but it was directed at the bronze dragon. The dragon creaked and I saw the boy smile like he could understand him, and for all I knew maybe he did.

He then yelled into what looked like an intercom. Then a group of people showed up on were 5 girls, good looking girls I must say, and 6 boys who were also rather good looking. Then there was a man in a wheelchair who I guessed was their teacher. They all walked of of the ship and the man in the wheelchair went over to say hi to Dumbledore. They shook hands but I was just looking at the students who were looking at the castle, one girl with blond curly hair and rather scary gray eyes looked like she was rambling about it to a boy who looked shockingly like me.

The boy had untamed black hair and green eyes, except they were see green unlike mine which were emerald green and he obviously worked out more. He was trying to look interested but I saw him glancing at The man in the wheelchair, I wonder why.

Then I knew why, the man had wheeled backover and said something to the group. They all nodded and backed away to give the man more room. The teacher then started to stand up and turned into a centaur.

Some people gasped, others screamed, me I just stood there with my mouth open. Then the group filed inside past us. We all followed behind talking about all the new arrivals.

Inside, I saw that the Durmstrang students had chosen to sit at the slytherin table, the Beauxbaton students were at the Ravenclaw, and the Americans had chosen to sit at the Gryffindor table.

All the teachers went to sit, or in the centaurs case stand, at the teachers table.

Ron, Hermione, and I went top st next to the Americans most people sat away, probably to not be overheard as they talked about them.

Dumbledore stood up again to give another speech,"Welcome, we are happy to have you all here today! It is wonderful when wizards from all over can come and do this friendly competition. Due to reasons, you must be 17 or older to enter this competition-" I heard groans but no one said anything and dumbledore continued,"we must make an exception for some of our american students who are under 17-" This time there were shouts and someone said,"What that is not fair, Why!?" Dumbledore put his hand and silenced everyone,"This is do to umm, past achievements."

The americans snickered at that and I wondered what they had done in their lives to be able to be exception for the tournament.

I was brought back to attention by Dumbledore who continued his speech,"To enter you must put your name in the goblet of fire and I noticed a box beside the headmaster. He opened it and took out a goblet that burst into blue flame.

"There will be an age line as to keep you from putting your name in if you underage, the champion for each school will be chosen Halloween night and with that we shall eat." Dumbledore finished returned to his chair and then food appeared and we all started eating.

The boy next to me, the boy who looked like me, was about to eat when the girl with the gray eyes stopped him and then looked at the boy who had been driving the ship and said,"Leo can you make us a fire." and the boy who I guess was named Leo replied,"Sure thing Annabeth, you can always trust Leo Mcshizzle man Valdez!" The girl named Annabeth rolled her eyes and I saw everyone else did as well.

The Leo boy was assembling something and then, HIS HAND BURST INTO FLAME! I screamed like a little girl so did Ron and others nearby."Man chill" he said with a smirk on his face as he lit his contraption on fire and extinguished his hand. I saw that most of the visitors were trying to hold back laughter."H-How did you do that?" Hermione said nervously. Leo started to say something but was cut off, "Rare hand magic." said a girl with dark hair.

Then all of the Americans got up and scraped a portion of their food into the fire.

"Why did you do that to the perfectly good food?" said ron in a slightly appalled tone. "Religious reasons" said a girl with dark skin and caramel colored hair.

"Hi I am Percy Jackson." said my look alike,he extended his hand, and I shook it, he continued and said,"These are my friends Annabeth Chase, Piper Mclean, Jason Grace, Leo Valdez , Frank Zhang,Hazel Levesque, Nico Di Angelo, Will Solace, Lou Ellen, and Thalia aka Pinecone Face." He pointed to them in turn and after the last one, Thalia, she said,"Yeah Thanks, Kelp Head." Percy then retorted ,"Yeah well at least sea disasters are better than air disasters." Then Thalia said,"Are not!"

"Are too!"

"Are not!"

"Are too!"

"Are not!"

Then Percy reached into his pocket I thought he was going to pull out his wand but instead he pulled out a pen. What is he going to do with that? I thought until he uncapped it and it turned into a sword. He ran at Thalia, who suddenly had a bow and quiver, and hunting knives. She knocked an arrow and shot it at Percy who slashed it in half.

I looked around the other Americans were looking bored."Aren't you going to do something?" I yelled at them,"This is the 5th time this week, just let it play out." said the girl named Annabeth. Percy and Thalia were know fighting sword to knife, Thalia have thrown down her bow.

I looked at the teachers they all looked horrified except the centaur who like his students was looking bored.

A few minutes later Percy disarmed Thalia and had his sword at her throat. "I win!" he announced happily before recapping his pen and sitting down and eating like nothing had happened.

Thalia sat down, glared at Percy then went to eat as well. I hall was silent we were all staring at Percy and Thalia. The boy named Will stood up and said,"That was the 5th time this week just go back to eating, that is a normal occurrence." Then he sat down and started eating again.

Professor McGonagall white as a ghost then said,"They try to kill each other on a REGULAR BASIS!"

Will said," Yeah, I am surprised Jason,Nico, and Hazel didn't join in."

"Hey" Jason, Nico, and Hazel said in unison.

Will shrugged and said,"You know I am right."

"We'll try to not have anymore fights between you guys, right?" Annabeth said everyone said right except Percy,"Right,Seaweed Brain?

"Yeah whatever" He said half heartedly, to busy eating to really give an answer.

A few more moments of silence then everyone went back to eating and whispering about them.
