((Percabeth: These are REALLY good. Could you pretty please do one with Finland and Sweden with Finland as the "mother"? Pretty please with cherries on top?
A/N: Here you go! I tried and I'm sorry if it isn't as great as my other ones ;-;))
The night was quite cold in the capital city of Helsinki, the night air was crisp and white snowflakes had even begun to fall. In the warm and cozy home that housed the nation of Finland and Sweden (Not to mention the micro-nation of Sealand), There was only a small nightlight on in the whole house. The night light glowed bright against the wall of the bedroom of Novalie Ainikka Oxenstierna. The little toddlers bright blue eyes gazed up at her mama, the nation of Finland as he told her a bedtime story.
Novalie's bright blonde hair (that was usually held together with pink ribbons) was shagged messily around her shoulders and a bit in her face, her intent blue eyed gaze never left Finland as he talked about knights and princesses, her small pink lips we pursed tight as she listened as well. The 3 year old didn't even listen as her brother said a few words to her here and there. Her papa, Sweden, was sitting beside her as he too listened to the fairytale.
"And they lived happily ever after!" Finland smiled finally.
"Mama tell it again!" Novalie shouted.
"No mama tell something else!" Sealand, also known as Peter, shouted in as well.
"Now you two, it's bedtime." Their papa said sternly.
"Oh Bernald, we can always just tell one more!" Tino said with a slight grin.
"Mama I wanna tell it!" Novalie smiled, she had the same smile as her mama.
"Yes I bet your story will be grand little sis." Peter said honestly.
The little toddler stood up on her pudgy ivory legs and smiled as her face flushed red.
"Once upon a time," she started, grasping at her mint green night gown, "There was pretty princess named.." Novalie paused in thought for a moment before perking up, " Her name was Vikktoria! She did lots of nice stuff and had one kitty name fluffy!"
Tino sat down beside her and listened to her as she had did with him.
"One day a mean dragon named peter-"
"Hey!" Peter looked up at her.
"Shhhh!" she shushed him with her little finger, "not done! The dragon came and woosh! flied to the kingdom."
Novalie stood quiet for a moment, trying to figure out what to say next. After a few seconds of pure silence she looked to Bernald and said, "Papa, help?"
The Swede showed a rare smile and nodded before pulling his daughter into his lap. "Everyone in the kingdom were afraid of the dragon except for the princess." Bernald continued. "She thought the dragon was very kind."
Tino nodded in agreement with the story. "Yes and the dragon was under a curse and only the kiss of true love could free it."
"And so." Sweden smiled. "The princess and the dragon eventually fell in love and when they did kiss-"
"The dragon turned in to a prince!" Novalie cut in excitedly, wiggling in her father's lap.
"Yes," Bernald nodded, "The dragon turned into a prince and they lived happily ever after."
Novalie giggled in excitement and her brother smiled.
"I enjoyed that story." Peter said kindly.
Bernald stood up with the little girl still in his grasp before laying her down and pulling her purple blankets over her. "It's time for bed now Novalie."
"You too peter, it's time for bed." Tino nodding, standing up as well.
"Okay mama." Peter replied as he stood up as well.
Bernald leaned down and kissed his daughter's head gently. "Goodnight prinsessa."
Though her eyes were droopy with sleep, the Swedish-Finnish girl smiled sleepily. Tino had made his way over to them and as his husband stood up straight, he leaned down and kissed Novalie's head as well.
"Sweet dreams hun." Tino smiled happily.
"hyvää yötä, mama." Novalia said quietly.
Tino stood back up and Bernald had picked up Peter in a piggy back motion, it wasn't long before the too were out of their daughter's room.
The room was now silent and door was left cracked slightly, leaving a slight light pouring into the room. Her pink nightlight had also been a source of light that left the girl feeling relieved. Novalie reached out and grabbed her princess rag doll and clutched it tightly. She allowed her eyes to now close shut so she could drift to dream land. It didn't take much time until the little blonde girl had fallen asleep. That night, she dreamt of princesses and castles.
((A/N: Okay so I just realized how backed up in requests I'm in so I will try to continue filling them as best and as fast as I can! I'm currently borrowing my uncle's laptop so I can type up more stories until my actual laptop gets fixed. I guess I'll be updating more often now so yea, look out for new updates! ^.^))
