Chapter 12, Special Episode 3; trainer life.

A young trainer stepped out of the Pokémon center in Geosenge town.

"Okay team, we got to find Team Flares base, right?" he opened the Pokéballs, and his team came out. They responded in unison with agreement.

"Its somewhere in Geosenge, after all, the town was destroyed by the weapon…" he gestured to the giant crystalline structure in the middle of the town. "Lets go everyone."

He recalled everyone on his team, minus 2 members. His most trusted, a Mawile, and a Jolteon. Both of them were about 10 years old.

"Alright you guys, follow me, and stay close."

Ian travelled through the town, eventually on the north edge of town, coming across a small rock structure.

"I think this is it." he pushed on the rock, and it opened up, revealing an elevator. "Yep…" the trainer, and his 2 Pokémon following him stepped in, the elevator going down. Eventually…

"There you are!"

Serena was in a large room full of computers, and team flare members. It was a sterile white, not unlike a laboratory.

"We need to stop Lysander before he uses Xerneas's energy! We only have a few minutes before the weapon fires!"

"Yep. got that. Is your team ready?" Ian asked

"Yep. lets go." Serena quickly ran down a set of stairs to the left, Ian following with his team members in tow.

Eventually, they got to a large door, with 2 buttons, one on each side. "I think we have to hit both of these at once." Ian ran over to one of the buttons, while Serena pressed the other.

The door opened, revealing a large room. Strange tubes were on the floor, and they led into a large statue on a pillar. Once the door opened however, the statue began to glow, and everyone had to cover their eyes.

The statues light vanished, and standing before Serena, Ian, Clairé, and Venus, was Xerneas. It stood firm in front of them, before crying out, and jumping down. It stared at Ian and his 2 team members, challenging them.

"You guys ready? Then lets go. Go Venus and Clairé!"

"Thank you for visiting the Pokémon center, we hope you have a good day!" nurse joy called over the counter.

"Yep. thanks nurse."

A trainer exited the Pokémon center in Dewford, and popped open a Pokéball.

"We need to head to Sootopolis, right?"

"Maw."

"Lets hurry then." the teenage boy pulled a flute out of his bag, and blew into it, and after a moment, Latias came flying out of the sky. He hopped on, recalled his Mawile, and took to the sky in the direction of the large crater.

As he walked deeper and deeper into the cave, the trainer could begin to hear arguing from the bottom.

"I WILL use the power of the blue orb to awaken Kyogre at last!" a voice with a thick accent said.

"Then I'll return this world to its original state! Ocean! As far as the eye can see!"

The young trainer snuck around, until he could see what was happening.

"Archie… Venus, you ready for this?"

"Maw." the Mawile, who appeared to be about 14 years old gripped a small necklace she had, albeit with some worry.

The necklace was a small gold chain, much thinner than "fashionable" gold chains, and had a unique centerpiece. A Mawilite was strung through it via a small hole cut out in the mega stone. Venus had never managed to activate it however.

"Lets go then." the young trainer walked out of hiding, followed by his tense yet confident Mawile. "Archie! Put down the orb, you don't know what you're doing!"

"And the meddling trainer makes his appearance. Tell me Maxie, has this scoundrel child seriously helped you and team magma at stopping me?! HAH! Don't make me laugh." the pirate turned to the trainer. "And you, young Ian, what do you possible think you and your little Mawile can do to stop me?"

"I'll fight you for the orb." Ian said, confident. "And she can mega evolve." he bluffed, pointing to Venus.

"Mawiil!" Venus hissed, gripping the necklace.

"Don't make me laugh boy. We both know that Mawile cant do it. whether its the bond, or perhaps she's too weak, it wont happen know. And besides…" Archie smashed the orb on the ground. "Its too late."

The stone statue of a large whale sitting in the water pool behind Archie suddenly gained colour, and a roar was heard.

The large blue whale looking Pokémon floated in the water for a moment, before it roared again.

"Kyogre, I command you, rain down on this land until the world is nothing but ocean!"

Kyogre looked at Archie for a moment, before swatting him away with its tail. It roared again. The trainer covered his face, but kept looking on. "Shit!" he quickly recalled Venus, and pulled out a blue spacesuit looking thing, as well as the blue orb.

Kyogre screeched at the sight of the orb, and cowered. Ian held it in front to fend it off, before eventually, it came up to the land on the edge of the water. Ian took this opportunity to get on, and it quickly dove underwater, Ian holding on for dear life as it sped through the dark underwater cave.

Eventually, it broke through the water into a small room. The water was glistening, the walls, a blue dull glow, and a small island in the middle. A large blue crystal hung down from the ceiling, and the entire room had a damp sheen to it.

Kyogre roared, and quickly snatched up the orb off the trainer. After a moment, it underwent something similar to mega evolution, before it broke out of its energy shell.

Yellow lines streaked through it, pulsing with energy. Kyogre roared again, much louder. It stared straight at the trainer, who gripped 2 Pokéballs.

"Go Venus, and Clairé!"

As he climbed the tower towards the blinding light, he gripped 2 Pokéballs.

The trainer, a seasoned trainer, now the champion of 2 regions, was climbing the central structure of Ultra Megalopolis.

His trusted team had been through so much, stand on his belt in their Pokéballs. Yet 2 members had been with him much longer. His strongest by far, he had a profound bond with both of them.

As the trainer climbed, he knew this was going to be it. The biggest fight of all. The legendary fight to end all legendary fights.

If only he knew the results.

His team had been prepper with the strongest items, potions, and strength boosting vitamins that money could buy.

Being the champion of 2 prior regions made money not that big of an issue.

Still though, the 15 year old boy never made himself out to be some famous person. He was modest about his success, and never went too far with it. He still valued his team the most

Particularly Venus and Clairé. Of course, they were the ones who had been with him the longest since Kalos.

Eventually though, Ian reached the top of the pillar, and looked on.

Necrozma could be seen on top of a struggling Lunala, before a prismatic rainbow… something… got pulled out of her head. After a moment, the duo was enveloped in light.

"This is it…" Ian said, watching as the light exploded out, revealing a bright golden beast, one eye red and one eye blue. It had 4 wings, and stared down at the young trainer threateningly.

"Necrozma, I challenge you! Go Venus and Clairé!"

END OF ACT 1

Wow, a longer special episode.

In other news, I'm fully vaccinated now. And my province has lifted restrictions too.

Chapter 13 is coming. Very soon. ;) it'll be… probably average size, but also VERY important

As always, review and stuff. The feedback on chapter 10 was absurd. I never would have seen it blow up like that in the span of a week, or even less.
