Chapter 3 – Learning New Things

21:00, February 3, 2012, Forest Hills, Queens, New York

Walking the little stretch of street between my house and the Parker's, I look at the notifications I got during the dinner.

+10 points of Reputation with Ned Leeds for being a geek like him [Friendly: 10/100]

+10 points of Reputation with Peter Parker for being a geek like him [Friendly: 10/100]

+10 points of Reputation with Ben Parker for being a respectful young man [Friendly: 10/100]

+10 points of Reputation with Anna Watson for making her feel young and being a nice young man [Friendly: 10/100]

+5 points of Reputation with May Parker for complementing her cooking [Friendly: 10/100]

+10 points of Reputation with Mary Jane Watson for being nice [Friendly: 10/100]

+5 points of Reputation with Michelle Jones Watson for not comparing her to her sister [Neutral: 5/100]

+10 Reputation with the Parker Family [Friendly: 10/100]

+8 Reputation with the Watson Family [Friendly: 8/100]

'So, Yugi, you mind explaining this Reputation thing? Am I right to assume that Affection is how much people like me?'

Yes, you are right. The higher the number, the stronger they feel about you. Here:

[Reputation]

Your reputation is how you stand with individual people, groups, organizations, towns, and countries. The higher your reputation with any of the previously mentioned categories, the better.

Reputation is divided into nine tiers: At War, Hated, Disliked, Unfriendly, Neutral, Friendly, Well-Liked, Honored, and Exalted.

These titles are a general representation of your standing with others. To reach the next tier you need to reach 100/100. The tiers have their own unique 'attributes' and they go as such:

[At War] – Whosoever bears this level is against you without question. -60% to any reputation gains to people in this group, +10 to all combat-related actions against them.

[Hated] – The bearer of this level despises you for whatever reason. -45% to any reputation gains with people on this level, +5 to all combat-related actions against them.

[Disliked] – People on this level do not like you. At all. -30% of all reputation gains with people on this level.

[Unfriendly] – While not against you, this level means that they don't exactly welcome you with open arms either. - 10% to all reputation gains with people on this level, -5% to [Teamwork] if in the same party.

[Neutral] – Not for you, not against you. Hell, people on this level might not even know you. No Buffs or Debuffs at this level.

[Friendly] – People on this level like you. You're a friend. +10% to reputation gains, + 5% to [Teamwork] if in the same party.

[Well-Liked] – You're a bro/sis, you're a pal! +20% to reputation gains, + 10% to [Teamwork] if in the same party.

[Honored] – You are treated with great respect and friendliness. +25% to reputation gains, +15% to [Teamwork] if in the same party.

[Exalted] – You've reached the top! Utmost love, respect, and friendliness at this level. +30% to reputation gains, +20% to [Teamwork] if in the same party, with an additional +10% if the Reputation bar is maxed out.

'I see. Do I get anything by achieving certain milestones? Like, what happens when someone's Reputation is maxed at Exalted?'

Once you're reached the Honored tier with someone, you'll unlock their Affection Bar. The Affection Bar measures the amount of love someone has for you. Additionally, you gain a perk that will double the amount of Reputation you gain for the type of people that match the person without whom you've reached the Honored tier with.

For example, if you leveled Peter's Honored, you would get a perk that increases the amount of reputation you gain with nerds or something like that.

Should you max out the Affection Bar with someone, you will gain a skill related to that person. For example, if you maxed out the affection of a Vampire, you would gain the Vampirism Perk.

'Really? Nice!'

Entering my new home with a grin, I take a look around. Only now that I have a moment to myself does the situation hit me, you know? Gamer's Mind might stop me from going mad, but I do still feel some sadness. I died and left my family behind. Left my girlfriends too. Wonder how they took the fact that I was dating them at the same time.

*Sigh* "Well, that's the past now. This is my new life and I got to live it the best way I can."

Going up the stairs and into my bedroom, I take a look at my bed.

"Hey, Yugi, do I need to sleep? Or eat for that matter? During the dinner, I wasn't really hungry. Nor full for that matter."

No, you don't need to sleep, eat, or drink. Doing either of said actions does give you some temporary bonus to your stats though.

"Awesome. That means that I can spend all night grinding. And that I can cut on money spent on comestibles."

With nothing else to do, I enter the Singularity F Dungeon.

21:12, February 3, 2012, Fuyuki City, Singularity F Dungeon

Appearing at the same spot where I left the dungeon the day before, I quickly summon fourteen copies of Thunder Kid and another fourteen copies of Dust Devil. Of Jade Golem and Charcoal Inpachi though, I only summon eight of each; four of each for defense and four of each for offense.

Thoughts about you – You're the Master.

"Hey Yugi, will Medusa respawn?"

No. Dungeon bosses do not respawn unless you have completed the dungeon and redo it.

"Huh, pity. There goes my easy EXP."

Taking a look around the area, I search for a reason as to why Medusa would spawn here and not, for example, at the school like in Canon. While I'm doing that, my summons deal with the pesky undead that flood the area now that Medusa is no longer here to act as a mini-boss.

Using a Mana Shield as a floating platform to get a bird's eye view, it doesn't take me long to find what I guess is the reason why Medusa spawned in this area: the Matou Residence. The place doesn't look as intimidating as in Canon, which I'm going to attribute to the fact that it seems to be missing three-quarters of its ceiling and half of the front entrance.

Floating down to the front entrance of the destroyed mansion, I take a dozen Dust Devils inside with me. The rest of Summons I order to form a perimeter around the mansion and let no one come inside.

You know, I was never a fan of Zouken Matou. Sakura's treatment under his care is a part of it, but I mostly found it distasteful; there are much better ways to break a kid. No, the main reason why I do not like Zouken is because of how he went about gaining immortality. Crest Worms? Really? I would sooner shoot myself than use those things. No immortality is worth losing one's dick.

Speaking of Sakura Matou, I don't like her much either. She's too much of a wallflower in my opinion. Women that don't have the nerves to defend themselves don't appeal to me. That is why I didn't like Hinata Hyūga until she grew some backbone in Shippuden.

Speaking of Hinata, I hope that I get to go to Naruto soon. There are so many things that I want to do there. I just hope that I don't end up in the Boruto era; I'll probably do something drastic if I have to hear that whiny fucker.

Back to the present, my Dust Devils and I search the whole mansion for loot, starting with the rooms upstairs. Of the remaining rooms upstairs, only two bear fruit: Sakura's room and Zouken's. In the former, I find a small bronze chest containing the Class Card of Rider Servant Medusa, while in the latter, I find another bronze chest with the Duel Monster Card of Man-Eater Bug.

Summoning Relic Acquired!

Due to lacking the necessary skill, summoning Rider (Medusa) is impossible at the moment.

Summoning Relic Acquired!

Due to lacking the necessary skill, summoning Man-Eater Bug is impossible at the moment.

"Damn it. Yugi, how can I get the skill needed to summon a Servant?"

By leveling Summoner up to Level 30.

*Sigh* "Still have a way to go then."

Anyway, going downstairs to the basement, my party and I find another bronze chest. Opening it, I find another Duel Monster Card inside, the one of Medusa Worm.

Summoning Relic Acquired!

[Medusa Worm] has been added to your roster of [Summon Supernatural (Monster)].

"Nice. It may not be that strong, but Medusa Worm sure is the biggest Summon in my possession right now."

Once outside the mansion, I take a quick look at the situation outside. A few Skeleton Warriors are attacking, but my Summons are dealing with them quite easily. Opening my map function, I take a look through Fuyuki City until I find my next stop: Homurahara Academy.

I'm feeling much more confident in my strength and that of my Summons after how easily we dealt with Medusa, so I want to try going against another mini-boss. Homurahara Academy is sure to have a Shadow Servant there since it is an important location to the plot of Fate/Stay Night. I'm not sure what Servant will be there though. Before yesterday, I would've said Medusa, but clearly, she can't be there.

On that topic, I wonder which Servants are posted at the Emiya and Tohsaka Residences. Saber can't be at the former because her Alter version is the final boss of this dungeon. EMIYA, though, can be either at the Ryuudou Temple or the Tohsaka Residence. My money is on him being at the temple since this dungeon is following the Singularity F of Fate/Grand Order. Better safe than sorry though, so I'm leaving the Tohsaka Residence for second last, right behind Einzbern Castle.

Another hot spot for a mini-boss battle is the Fuyuki Bridge; where Gilgamesh and Iskandar fought during the Fourth War. I doubt that either of them will be the mini-boss guarding that place, but at the same time, said mini-boss can't be just another Servant. For a place where two kings made battle, the mini-boss has to be someone exceptional.

Putting my wonderings aside, I start my march towards Homurahara Academy; my Summons getting into formation around me. From what my mini-map shows, from the Matou Residence to the school isn't that much of a walk. That said, I take around thirty minutes to get there because of all of the Undead getting in mine and my army's way.

With the Thunder Kids helping my Dust Devils, normal Skeletons and Zombies are dealt with much faster than yesterday. My army being bigger in numbers also helps, of course. However, it seems that this dungeon is compensating for that because I'm seeing a lot more variety in the Undead being thrown at my Summons and I. Skeleton Archers, Skeleton Riders, Bone Vultures, and Undead Beasts (like dogs, cats, bears, tigers, etc.); they are all throwing themselves at us with little regard for their un-lives.

Seeing a Skeleton Archer on top of a house preparing to fire at one of my Thunder Kids, I fire three volleys of Mana Arrows. Seeing him turn into pixels, I turn my head upwards when the screeching of Bone Vultures hits my ears. The buggers are quite agile and attack in groups, so a few vultures manage to get through my Jade Golems and Charcoal Inpachis. A quick Mana Shield stops them dead on their tracks before they can hit me though and I follow that up by turning said shield into a volley of Mana Bullets. The Bone Vultures are minced into pixel dust and I turn my attention to the moving battle again.

[Mana Control Proficiency (Novice)] as leveled up to [Mana Control Proficiency (Apprentice)].

[Mana Control Proficiency (Apprentice)]: You have some skill and knowledge on how to control the power within yourself and bend it to your will. MP cost of spells is increased by 15%.

"You know, sometime later I'm going to into that Horde Dungeon so that I can focus on leveling up my Mana Control Proficiency. That increased cost to my spells is not something that I'm happy with."

"Speaking of maxing out skills; Yugi, is it possible to improve the skills that I have? I've noticed that none of them have levels."

I was wondering when you would ask about that. Now, while your skills do not have levels, you can improve on them. One method is by using Skill Create to combine skills you already have to create new ones; as I'm sure you know.

Another method, and the more used one, is to complete Upgrade Quests.

"Upgrade Quests?"

Yes, these quests allow you to choose what aspect of a skill you want to upgrade and give you a task to complete so you can earn that upgrade.

For example, if you choose to upgrade the number of arrows conjured by the Mana Arrows skill, you would be given a number of targets to kill using that skill. Once you have reached that number, the skill would upgrade as you wish.

"That's… quite interesting. Does the cost of the skill also increase?"

Yes, though by how much depends on what aspect you want to upgrade.

"Huh, this is quite the original setup to level up skills. I'm quite happy with how much freedom it gives me to upgrade my skills to how I want them to be. To whom do I owe thanks for this feature, Yugi?"

Dark Wolf Shiro.

"My thanks to him then. Now, would you please give me an Upgrade Quest for Mana Arrows and Mana Bullet?"

Please select your desired upgrade for the Mana Arrows skill.

Increased Number of Arrows (Doubles the number of arrows)

Increased Damage Output (Doubles the damage dealt by each arrow)

Bouncing Mana Arrows (Instills a bouncing effect into each arrow, allowing them to bounce off of physical objects)

Homing Mana Arrows (Instills a homing effect into each arrow, making them home in on their targets)

"Hm, those all are good upgrades that I want. Can't I choose to do all of them?"

No. You are only allowed to do one Upgrade Quest per skill at the same time. And three Upgrade Quests overall at the same time.

"Darn it. Well, I guess I'm going with the last upgrade then. Making sure that my arrows hit their target is more important at the moment."

The Homing Mana Arrows Upgrade has been chosen.

Mana Arrows Upgrade Quest [Homing Mana Arrows]

Objective: Kill 100 enemies with Mana Arrows [0/100]

"That's easy enough."

The choices of upgrades for Mana Bullet appear next and they are essentially the same as the ones for Mana Arrows. For this one, I'm also going with the homing effect. Mana Bullet already deals a good amount of damage and if I can make it home in on my targets, I will be even deadlier than Deadshot. Why? Because I'll essentially have a bullet that cannot be traced and homes in on my target, i.e., guaranteed critical hit.

The Homing Mana Bullet Upgrade has been chosen.

Mana Bullet Upgrade Quest [Homing Mana Bullet]

Objective: Kill 100 consecutive enemies with critical hits dealt by only one Mana Bullet [0/100]

So, essentially, I have to kill one hundred enemies through Mana Bullet with headshots or heart-shots, one after the other. Well, that may sound difficult at first, but there's a loophole that I'm going to take advantage of. After all, it doesn't say anywhere in the quests that I can't damage my targets until they can't dodge, or that I can't restrain them either.

22:07, February 3, 2012, Fuyuki City, Singularity F Dungeon

By the time my Summons and I reach Homurahara Academy's front gates, the Upgrade Quest for the Homing Mana Bullet has been completed and one-fourth of the Mana Arrows' Upgrade Quest's killing quota has already been achieved. Not only that, but all of this killing has leveled me up again, and won me one Stat Crystal for DEX, END, and CHA each.

You have gained a new skill!

[Homing Mana Bullet] (Active): Fires a bullet made of mana at your target that will home in on your target. This skill costs 120 MP and deals 150 piercing and magic damage.

Looking at the academy grounds in front of me, I take notice of the state they're in. The archery club building is nothing but a crater and the building that was connected to it has only one half of it standing. The main academy building is in a state of disrepair with various holes allowing one to see into the classrooms. Also, I'm pretty sure there should be another building near the main one and right in front of the front gates, but there's nothing there except burning ruins.

"Hm, you know Yugi, this is a lot of ground to cover to find some loot. Not only that, I won't be able to take my bodyguards inside and I don't want to risk a fight against a Servant – even if it is weakened – in a tight space. So, I gotta ask: if I blow this place to kingdom come, will the loot survive?"

Yes, the loot chests will survive.

"Awesome! Time to use Skill Creation again then."

With a bit of focus, I create a new skill.

You have gained a new skill!

[Exploding Spinning Mana Arrows] (Active): Costs 300 MP. Creates three spinning arrows made of mana and fires them at your target. Each arrow deals 100 points of piercing damage, plus 50 points of burn, physical, and magical damage.

"Hm, that's too much of a mouthful. Can I change the name of the skill, Yugi?"

Of course. What would you like to call it?

"Well, I based that skill on Archer's Caladbolg II, so change it to Caladbolg."

[Caladbolg] (Active): Costs 300 MP. Creates three spinning arrows made of mana and fires them at your target. Each arrow deals 100 points of piercing damage, plus 50 points of burn, physical, and magical damage.

"Much better," I confirm with a nod. "Now, let's bring this shit down on the head of whoever is inside." Pointing at the main school building, I order my Thunder Kids to attack it. "Thunder Kids, rain down the lightning on that building!"

My little monsters obey and all forty-five of them shoot lightning at the building. The thunderbolts destroy a good part of the already partly ruined edifice. Adding to the destruction, I cast my newly made spell.

[Caladbolg]! X4

Twelve spinning arrows made of blue mana come into existence above my head and travel forward towards the school building as if shot from a canon. Each arrow pierces through concrete like a knife through butter before each explodes with enough force to bring down a small building.

Yeah, the edifice had no chance.

As I watch the smoke and dust clear, however, I hear the Inpachis guarding my back move. Before I can even begin to turn around though, I feel a sudden and piercing pain from my lower back and abdomen.

"AHHH!" I scream in anguish. Coughing up blood, I look at my gut to see five red fingers coming out of it. Looking over my shoulder, I see a white bone mask and a rugged black hood. That, plus the red fingers, means that the guy currently holding my guts is none other than Hassan of the Cursed Arm.

Hassan's Cursed Arm is then suddenly pulled from me and I drop down to my knees. The Shadow Assassin seemingly having jumped backward to avoid the attack of one of my Charcoal Inpachis. He then throws what I think is a knife – to me, it was just a silver flash – at me. A Jade Golem stands in front of me, however, and takes the thrown knife to the chest with no injury.

As soon as Hassan touches the ground though, he is ganged up by my Dust Devils. Although they are much slower than him without being reinforced, my Air Elementals still manage to hold off the Shadow Assassin thanks to their invulnerability to physical attacks and sheer numbers. The four offensive Jade Golems join in as fast as they can, giving enough time for all of my Thunder Kids to get in position.

My Summons try to catch the Assassin, but he is too slippery. Nonetheless, once he jumps into the air to avoid the blow from a Golem, the Thunder Kids strike. All fourteen of them let loose a lightning bolt each and the Shadow Assassin is hit by one after the other. The shadow of a Servant lets loose a howl as he is electrocuted to death and eventually disperses into pixels.

Elias Xavier

MP – 3240 [126 per 30 seconds]

WIS – 52.5*1.2 = 63

For having defeated Shadow Servant Assassin Hassan of the Cursed Arm, you have gained a new item!

[Cursed Gauntlet of Pain]: A gauntlet cursed with the [Painful Touch] curse. This gauntlet inflicts pain to whomever the user touches, decreasing their HP by 30 HP/second. It can also serve as a weapon, dealing STR+30 points of physical damage.

I blow a sigh of relief as the pain from almost being gutted by Cursed Arm fades away. I've never felt something as painful as that in my life until now and it is only because of Gamer's Mind that I'm not a shaking mess of fear and anxiety at how close I came to dying. Instead, I turn my attention to what I've gained from my second mini-boss battle.

"Really, Yugi, only three levels? The last time I faced a mini-boss, I gained six!"

You were at a lower level then. EXP costs for leveling up increase every level, in case you didn't know.

"I can hear your sarcasm loud a clear, Yugi." I let out a sigh. "Well, at least the Fool trait is out. And the gauntlet is nice; it's practically the magical item version of the Cruciatus Curse. Though, I'll have to find a way to be able to upgrade it so I can fire the curse from long-range."

You'll need the Artificer Class for that.

"Good to know. Now, I have another question; why haven't I gained the generic Pain Suppression or Pain Resistance skill that every Gamer gets after they're injured for the first time? Speaking of that, where's my Sense Danger skill?"

As I've told you before, this version of the Gamer System is different from what you are used to. You do not gain a skill or stat points by doing actions. Master TM11 believes that to be too easy and, as you have said, generic. The only way to gain a Skill is through leveling up your chosen classes, from a loot chest, or winning a Skill from the Gacha.

Though, I'll point out that, as your END increases, your ability to handle pain also rises.

*Scoff* "Damn it. Ok, I get it; no pain, no gain. Now, where's my loot chest?"

Like before, a magic circle appears on the ground in front of me and a golden treasure chest rises from it. Opening the thing, I look at what is inside and Observe it.

You can.

"HAHA! Its official, I love my luck! Once I upgrade this baby enough, no superpower will work on me!"

"Everyone!" I turn to my Summons, who have been loyally standing their ground around me in case more danger like Cursed Arm appears out of nowhere again. All of my Elementals and Monsters turn to me at my call for attention and await orders.

"Thank you for your hard work, everyone! Now, would all of you – except you eight – please separate into groups and search the debris of the building I just blew up for loot chests? They look like smaller versions of this," I ordered while pointing at the open loot chest to my right. With their commands given, all of my Summons – except for my bodyguards – depart to do as ordered.

With that done, I sit down on top of a huge piece of debris, the loot chest evaporating into glowing motes of light. Shrugging, I focus again on Yugi.

"Alright, Yugi; hit me!"

Very well.

Please select your desired upgrade for the Nullification (X-Gene) skill.

Nullify Magic (Nullifies most types of magic)

Nullify Mutate (Nullifies powers that aren't inherent to the user's race. Ex: Spider-man, Green Goblin, and Susan Storm)

Nullify Tech (Nullifies technological-based powers. Ex: Iron Man and Doctor Octopus)

Lingering Nullification (Continuous nullification for a short time after you stop nullifying them)

Toggled Nullification (Allows you to turn it off)

Range Increase [Aura] (Increases the range of your Nullification Aura)

Targeted Nullification (Nullifies powers within a short-range, even without physical contact. Only works on one target at a time)

Hm, decisions, decisions.

Ok, let's think about this logically. Toggled Nullification isn't much of a priority right now. Turning off my mutant power will be useful in some settings, like if someone with a healing mutation or Healing Magic tried to heal me. Nonetheless, I can get that later.

Lingering Nullification is useful; same as Range Increase. Again, however, I can afford to wait to get them.

So, that leaves me with Targeted Nullification, Nullify Magic, Nullify Mutate, and Nullify Tech. Now, normally, I would go with the first option. At the point of Marvel history that I am at now, the chances of me running into a Mutate or someone like Doctor Octopus are really low. By the same token, one would think that my chances of me facing a magician are even lower. That, however, couldn't be the furthest from the truth.

First off, I'm currently inside a copy of a singularity where magical beings of all kinds are running around. Magical beings whose sole purpose is to end me. Hell, if Yugi follows the order of Fate/Grand Order with the singularities, I'll be facing a freaking DRAGON in my next dungeon!

Second, there's an incredibly strong, immortal, and nigh-omniscient sorceress living on the other side of the world outside. Now, I don't know if this world's version of the Ancient One is the one that most fanfiction authors write as if she has nothing better to do then spend her whole day looking into the future, or as if she gained some kind of super clairvoyance and doesn't need the Time Stone to even look into the future. OR, if this world's version of the Ancient One is the more realistic one, where she has better things to do than spend her day looking into the future and therefore only knows the general layout of events that will be happening.

HELL, she could be a mix of the two! My point is: the chances of the Ancient One not knowing about me in some way or form are so low that you would need a magnifying glass to see them!

Therefore, having said all of this, it is quite obvious which upgrade I'm choosing first.

*Gasp* And then, just when I was going to tell Yugi to give me the Nullify Magic Upgrade, like a lightning bolt, I had an ingenious idea.

[Skill Creation]: [Nullification (X-Gene)] + [Magical Energy Manipulation]!

You have gained a new skill!

[Anti-Magic] (Active): The ability to use anti-magic which can nullify and destabilize most if not all forms of magic and even destroy a mage's capability to utilize magic.

[Anti-Magic Proficiency (Novice)] (Passive): You are a beginner in the magical art of Anti-Magic. MP cost of spells is increased by 20%.

My grin could not get any bigger as I looked at the screen in front of me.

And then my Summons came back with three bronze loot chests in their hands.

[Blood Fort Andromeda] (Active): A Bounded Field used to collect magical energy by converting humans to a bloody, organic ooze and harvesting their souls. The user must use their blood as a component, setting it up around an area to slowly build up energy. It takes over ten days to fully store all the energy needed to utilize its full power. When activated, it cuts off escape routes and makes contact with the outside world near-impossible as it slowly converts everyone within into blood; starting by melting off their skin and inflicting other effects on them the longer it is activated. It can only be deactivated by the user's will or if they die.

Due to lacking the necessary Job Class and Proficiency Level, you cannot use this skill.

Oh yeah, I laughed myself silly after that.

"Ok, let's see how well this new skill works on the Undead," I say to myself once Gamer's Mind calmed me down.

Aren't you going to choose another upgrade for Nullification (X-Gene)?

"Oh, right. Well, since I don't need the Nullify Magic Upgrade…"

The Targeted Nullification Upgrade has been chosen.

Nullification Upgrade Quest [Targeted Nullification]

Nullify 100 Power Usages [0/100]

Spend 10 Hours Nullifying Abilities [0/10]

"Neat, now I only need to find a place full of mutants for me to nullify their powers. It shouldn't be too hard to find a place like that in Marvel, now should it?"

Before I go trying to get into Xavier's Academy, though, I want to test my new skill.

Emiya Residence, here I come. Let's see which Servant will be there.

Unknown P.O.V.

She was having another vision, something that had become the norm in her life since she awoke her powers all those years ago.

She can see a huge crowd of people gathered at a plaza, among them individuals that are clearly mutants, as their physical mutations show.

The crowd is visibly excited as they wait in front of a three-story building painted white. Keeping them calm, or trying to at least, are men and women in what she recognizes as a military uniform, though of what country she does not know.

The crowd then starts cheering and clapping as they look up. Her vision shows her what they see and she lets out a gasp of surprise.

Standing on the third floor's balcony are three people, and two of them she would recognize anywhere even she could no longer see. One is female, a young woman with brown hair with a white strand. The other is also female, her true age hidden behind her middle-aged looks. She has red hair and blue skin, the latter of which surprises her as she knows the redhead would never show her real appearance in front of a crowd. Both women are wearing military uniforms similar to those of the soldiers below, but theirs shows that they are of a higher rank.

The young man in front of them is the one that she does not recognize. Wearing a black suit with a green shoulder cape, a golden crown sits atop his brown locks of hair as his green eyes look down at the people cheering for his name.

"King Elias! King Elias! King Elias!" Everyone in the plaza chants.

Raising one hand, the young king makes everyone calm down and shut up so they can hear his words.

"People of Genosha! Today I declare our country as one of freedom! No longer shall those with special abilities, the gifted, be discriminated against for something beyond their control. From this day forward, I abolish racism of any kind! It does not matter if you are born a man or a woman; gifted or not; white or black. It does not matter if you are homosexual or heterosexual! It doesn't matter if you are fat or skinny! If you are beautiful or ugly! None of that matters! What matters is that you are a living being! What matters is that we as a people must stand together against hate and discrimination! For as long as my reign lasts, I shall fight for you and your freedom! However, a king is nothing without his people. So, I ask you: are you with me?"

"YES!"

As she felt shock fill up her whole body, the vision started to fade away. As it did, she looked at the smiling face of the young king, making sure to memorize it to the detail. As the vision finally turned black, she had only one thought in her mind.

'A third path for the future of mutant-kind has opened.'

Update 24/01/2021: One Camunrha pointed out to me that the [Fool] trait should have been removed once WIS hit 50. I wanted to remove it at 100 WIS, but since the other two traits will be removed once their respective Stats hit 50, I changed my mind.

Update 26/03/2022: Made changes to the Reputation System to make it easier for me to write and work with. Shout out to king carlos since I've based the new system on his from his Rise of the Shield Hero story – "Rising of the Shield and Spirit Heroes".

Fun Fact 1: Giving Elias Anti-Magic wasn't in my first draft of this story. Initially, I was even going to give him the Nullification Gear instead of the X-Gene. With the changes I have made to the draft, however, I decided to give him the X-Gene instead, though the Anti-Magic came as I was writing the scene.

Fun Fact 2: Yes, the last sentence is a shout-out to Vimesenthusiast's "A Third Path to the Future". I like that story and think that Harry's way of getting mankind to accept mutants is the one with the better chances of working.

Apologies for taking so long with this chapter. Christmas, New Year, and a series that I wrote for my YouTube channel kept me occupied for a while.

Also, the Reputation System that I'm using is not mine. I took it from "Reincarnated Game: Survival Edition", which is written by Bad Writer Don't Hate. I sent them a PM asking to use it more or less a week ago, but they haven't said anything, so I'm just going through with it and apologize later if they take offense.

Now, I'm pretty sure that I don't need to tell you guys who was having that vision. The two women that she recognizes in the vision should be more than enough clues. And yes, Elias is going to become King of Genosha in the future. How soon that happens, however, I don't know. It will most likely be after he has traveled to his Hub World though.

Now, normally, I would update "An Improbable Caster" next, but I think I might update this one instead. I'm finding this story a bit easier to write. We shall see.

I hope you liked this chapter. If you did, please favorite, follow, and/or leave a review.

Ja ne!
