Hilary came back in the room but she confused when she noticed everyone was staring her with amused look on their faces while Mariah was genuinely concerned for Hilary's dense brain, and kai had plain gesture.

"uhhh.. is there something on my...umm...face? why you all staring?" she nervously asked as she raised her both eyebrows.

"nope! there has nothing" interestingly this was tyson who answered.

"what's wrong, Mariah!" she asked when she saw her worried face.

"uhh!...*exhaled* just leave it!" she sighed and left the room b/c they announced their names already.

"huh? did something happened? Mariah!!" Hilary followed her. "GUYS! SOMEBODY? ANYBODY! TELL ME!"

"so Hilary! who you come to support?" Mariah asked with sneaky smirk. Hilary was sitting with Mariah's team on the back, so they could chitchat too while tyson and kenny sat in audience b/c max and rick also came to watch.

"hnn...of... course I come to cheer both the teams. kai and ray both are my friends!" she nervously blushed as she slightly got idea what Mariah was talking about since she asked hilary so many times already, about her feelings for you know who...!

"uh-huh! yup friends" she nodded but that smirk didn't left her face.

"HEYY! I'm being serious here!" she louder her voice but still embarrassed by Mariah's teasing replies.

"ok, ok! by the way, what's the plans for tomorrow, gurl?" Mariah asked as she changed the topic while Lee was battling against tala.

"be ready at 12 noon, first we will visit some cafe's then watch the movie, then... we will go for some shopping, you know souvenirs and then back to hotel, that's it!" Hilary answered "and don't forget the flights in evening. good that our teams got the same flight tickets for our next destination b/c during this season please travels the most" Hilary answered.

"ahh!! so good! I really want to try this place's food but my teammates wouldn't give me a break plus we girls need some our company too!"

"that's the point of this whole plan, it's girl's outing-"

For next match, white tigers chose ray kon and Blitzkrieg boyz chose their ace, Hiwatari kai...

Hilary silenced since she was waiting for this match and Mariah didn't forget to notice Hilary's expression either.

'gawd! she is so into him. someone definitely need to tell her!' Mariah thought 'AHHHHH!! I'M SO GONNA HATE MYSELF! I REALLY WANT TO EAT THEIR FOOD BUT ANYTHING FOR YOU, HIL!' she decided to help hilary for her kindness but she had nothing for kai, she hatred him more from the depth of her heart when he took away galux from her but anyways, anything for friendship you know!

"WHAT!" hilary yelled over phone call "but how this happened?"

"Hilary! I'm so sorry that I couldn't be able to join you b/c our flight timing shifted so we guys already left this country in night. I hope you wouldn't kill me when we will see eachother next time!"

"you better to pray from gawd that I will be in nice mood when I meet you"

"I'm really sorry"

"well, your sorry can't recover my plans. it's all ruined now!"

"not really! can't you go with someone else?"

"with who? my teammates knew that I have plans so they made for themselves too! I'm alone in this hotel room!"

"why don't you ask you other *friends*?"

"yeah! looks like I've to ask Emily but you know she is introvert, it would be hard to make her!" Hilary frowned.

"WHAT!? NO!!! NOT HER!!"

"Why what happened?"

"she- she got food poisoning, so please don't bother her!"

"oh poor thing! I should check on her!"

"no! just leave her alone, I had talk with her in your regards, she is sleeping right now. why don't you ask kai?" mariah sneakingly grinned.

"for real?" Hilary doubt that Mariah was serious.

"yup! bye, have fun together!" and... Mariah hung-up the call b/c she didn't want to laugh on Hilary's face.

"wha-HEYY! YOU CAN'T HANG-UP ON ME LIKE THIS! HELLO!" Hilary sighed as she had no other option left. she thought what if kai had plans too or he took it as she was asking him out. Maybe he would never talk her back, but still with those hopeless hands she dialled Kai's number which she got years ago but never called, not even once for her personal reasons.

Kai picked her call on first ring which didn't left any time for hilary to slightly prepare herself for his voice.

"umm...uhh! kai are you...free today or maybe just for this afternoon?" she nervously asked, didn't had any hopes either.

"yup!" he shortly answered in his style.

"oh! great. would you like to umm... go out with me?" another obstacle for hilary.

"ok... where?" woah! now that's what I call straight reply, the conversation was catching it's speed, pacing up, kai instantly answered.

"to go watch this movie!"

"the movie you girls mentioned earlier? but don't you only have two tickets!"

"yeah...but Mariah already flew away for the next country!!! and I don't wanna go alone and my team went to have their own fun"

"place and time!"

"is it okay for you to meet me at X place in an hour?" she asked in her requesting tone and how could he deny her.

"hm!" that was yes. Kai could feel the joy in other side of phone.

"Plan changed! you guys go this time. I got urgent plans!"

"WHAT!!! but didn't you agreed for this and afterall you were the one who planned this on first place" tala pissed off to sse how kai make World revolve around him.

"now I'm saying I'm not going, what's the big deal" kai replied as he shrugged off his shoulders.

"uhhhh!! but still, you pay!"

"yeah! whatever" he rolled his eyes.

"btw who you going to meet up?!" Tala asked as he raised his eyebrow.

"none of your business!" kai said with smirk and went in his room.

When he came out after changing, he received a message, thinking it could be Hilary's so he checked.

it's from ray! huh!? why ray messaged!? what could it be?

"it's Mariah! I know you will never see my text, so I used ray's. I'm telling you that I still hate you b/c of your shitty attitude and I really wanted to see this movie but now you own me real big this time!"

It barely took second to click in his brain but kai understood that it's Mariah who sat this up for him and hilary. he really owned her big one. kai smirked and replied with plain "whatever" comment.

"ah! this jerk!" Mariah sneered on other side and passed the phone to ray by throwing up to him.

"ehehe!" ray nervously laughed b/c he really didn't want to involve in their mess.

"WOAH!! I didn't expect kai will agree for this but now it's happening!" Hilary still couldn't believe in reality but she was more concerned for her outfit. what she should wear? nothing too formal not too fancy! that's the time to ask for help from Mariah. sheused her phone and called her to ask for her advice.

"do you remember the blue dress with matching shoes which we bought last time?"

"which one? we bought a lot together"

"the one for you were confused to choose between the starry pattern or plain blue!"

"OH! you mean this one"

"YUP!"

"BUT MARIAH!!... wouldn't it be too...umm...too weird if I wear this one? like we will be on date or something..." Hilary blushed just with thought of wearing this dress for outing. (1)

"JUST WEAR IT YOU DAMN IT!!!" Mariah yelled in bestie manner. she couldn't let her all efforts drown.

"uh! ok!" hilary sweat-dropped.


'ok, hilary! calm down! you are going out for movie with kai b/c other's are busy and AHH-' 'deep breath in, deep breath out!'

"what you doing?" a familiar cold voice surprisd her out of blue which belonged none other than bladebreaker's ex-captain.

"uh.. nothing!!" she shook her head but when she looked at him, her mind stopped working, dude! she had to accept that kai outside the beybattle field was something else.

"then you should hurry!" he Said as ge started to move.

"uh!?...OH YEAH!! Let's go for the movies" she bought her senses back and controlled her thoughts.

'why do I feeling I'm forgetting about something. huh! leave it. maybe it's not important' she dropped the thought as they started to talking about their day to day life.

When the reached the movie theater, everything became clear. Hilary regretted to ask kai for movie.

hilary's corner of mouth twitched to see the poster. now she remembered what she forgot. it's the thing that this movie had not only rom-com genre but also had kissing and make-out scenes. she came to watch this movie, with a guy, and guy in above of them was Kai Hiwatari. GREAT AF!!

Now let's add more seasoning, this wasn't enough but this place was also filled with Kai's few fangirls. they both were in corner near the plants, so luckily no one noticed b/c Kai's back was facing them.

"let's get in" Kai shook her shoulder as he found out she was spacing out.

"huh!? OH YEAH!" Hilary nervously laughed and they both went in the theater room.

The movie was really nice and well filmed but not Kai's taste instead he would like to watch 25 documentaries on ants but he was just there to give her some company.

And finally the scene arrived where the MCs were kissing eachother. it unsurprisingly make her uncomfortable, Hilary's whole body started to turn as red as lobster till at rate where she might doubt she had fever, her eyes turned into spirals and unexpectedly kai noticed her behaviour and thought she might not be feeling good b/c of closed room with people, maybe theatres weren't her thing.

He turned his gaze from uninteresting movie and check out Hilary as he held her shoulder.

"Hilary" and he neutrally called for her.

"uh-ahh!! KAI!!! I, No!! WE CAN'T!!" Hilary's thoughts came out to real, she thought kai was actually looking forward for a kiss or something.

"we can't what?" he asked as he raised his eyes with amusement. he might had slight idea of her blithering behaviour.

"uh!! it's- nothing!" Hilary was totally embarrassed by his words. she obviously couldn't tell him "what you called for?" she asked as she changed the topic and come back to normal.

"you okay, you turned almost red. we can leave if you aren't feeling well?" he stated and suggested.

"oh! no, it's totally alright!" she answered politely 'so he actually noticed me' she also sweat-dropped with unease but didn't let to see him. she glanced at the screen and relieved to know the make-out ended.

Unfortunately, a girl in crowd noticed kai and squealed with delight and immediately told her friend next to her.

"wait! is that actually kai. Kai Hiwatari!!" she doubted as she couldn't believe on her eyes.

"OMGGG!!!! IT'S YOU!!! KAI!!!" she screamed as she couldn't hold her happiness by seeing him in person.

The groupie's scream also caught Hilary's attention and she looked too.

"huh?" problem! shit! big problem! if the news spread out that kai and Hilary went to watch this movie together, it wouldn't be good for Kai's image nor Tyson's. she would turned into traitor. she wouldn't be able to take all hate. she panicked and hid in Kai's arms b/c that's all she could think of that time. kai noticed her panic and the first thing he did was, took off his jacket and covered hilary, so at the very least she could cover her face and upper body, at the very least, she would safe. he instantly wrapped his an arm around her shoulder and succeeded to sneak out of the hall under the loud crowd of crazy girls.

"you know... what...Kai..." she asked for as she was also catching her breath.

"hn?" he looked at her with anticipation.

"I can't believe it took me this long to realise why you hate theatres." she commented seriously and then giggled to rethink of their little experience. They shared a small laugh together.
