Kai was sitting alone in backyard, staying away from rest of bladebreakers as he was slightly going through a god level of embarrassment for what he did an hour ago.

FLASHBACK

"Tyson, pace up!" kenny yelled at him. Tyson and max were having a practice Beybattle while ray was in kitchen to get some drinks and kenny and kai was sitting on distance.

"max! defeat him!" Hilary loudly cheered, she literally cheered for every opponent of Tyson during practice.

Attack on defence, Since they both were taking to long, Hilary got tired and rest nearby place where she could sit. she sat in between the more than space kai and kenny, without giving it much of thoughts.

Hilary puffed her cheeks when Tyson took his advantage and attacked dracil impactfully.

meanwhile...

Kai was gazing at Hilary's annoyed look with corner of his one eye while keeping the other close, since she was this close to him once again!

His sight focused on her face even more when she puffed her cheeks with air. so cute, just like an angry chestnut squirrel who had stuffed her mouth with nuts. he felt like chuckling out at his thought but control himself.

Hilary's cute puffed red cheeks were so tempting for him that he let go his reflexes without giving it much thought.

POKES*

'soft' Kai thought as he poked her left cheek since she was sitting on his right side.

There was a complete silence for a minute between Kai and hilary.

Kai's eyes minimised when he realised what he did and now he had to give a solid explanation for his action, while Hilary didn't make any sound. she was simply trying her best to understand what just happened, (ತ.ತ)

Hilary slowly turned her head to look at him with anticipation, her mouth created a small opening as her lips parted.

When kai caught her whole attention on him, he slowly but hesitatingly withdrawal his index finger without changing his emotionless expression.

"is there something on my face?" Hilary softly spoke, she was slightly nervous since she didn't talk to him normally but kai didn't change his look when his eyes travelled from her cheeks to her ruby red eyes. Kenny also diverted his attention on them when her word's reached in his ear, looking at them with confusion.

"..." kai didn't say anything but simply shook his head.

'WHY THE HECK I DID THAT!!! IN WHICH WORLD I LEFT MY SENSES!' Kai thought quietly as he lowered his head.

"guys, let's take a break!" ray came back to inform that that lunch was ready. thanks to ray, he saved him from embarrassment,... for yet!

END OF FLASHBACK

"Kai?" when a feminine voice reached, he looked up at the person who was the source of that voice, it was Hilary. he could see that she was concerned for some unknown reason, when she approached to him, her nervousness enhanced.

"..." He simply gave her a solid glance to tell her that he was aware of his presence.

"did something happened, you are acting strangely!" she nervously said as she doubted that she was even on place to ask him about his feelings and moods.

Kai still didn't say anything as even he got slightly confused with her unseen behaviour. did she eat wrong medicine during lunch. he sat up straight on his own support but when Hilary read his hard glare on her.

"UH! I mean, you are acting strangely, I mean, did something happened...or or.." she stumbled on her own words "...did... I do something... wrong?" at her last sentence, she was so pure and nervous at same time, feeling guilty for no reason that she didn't move at all, waiting for his response.

Kai's pupil slightly expended at his sight as he really didn't expected something like this from her. then, he normally shook his head with closed eyes.

"then?" Hilary flustered as she slightly tilted her head.

"Squirrel!" he said in neutral monotone as there was complete silence once again to change to whole enviornment.

"squi-rrel?" Hilary repeated dumbfoundedly with blank eyes as her processer failed to understand what's his answer had to do with their conversation. Kai nodded once in response when he heard her repeating her word.

"squirrel what?" she asked as she blinked twice.

"when you get annoyed-" Kai finally stood up his ground and walked to her, they were barely few inches apart, he leaned in to her ear and whispered "-you look like an angry chestnut squirrel" he drew back his head, so she could see him but this time he said satisfied grin on his lips as he was looking down at her. it all happened to sudden that Hilary did get a chance to react on him but when she looked at his face with another blink, she got it.

Hilary's blank face turned redder but not b/c of embarrassment. it was pure madness, she got annoyed by his comment and instantly burst out.

"I'M NOT LIKE SQUIRREL!!!-" she churped out loudly and then she puffed her cheeks at her limits as her flicks gracefully framed her angry face "-AT ALL!!" while her furious Ruby red eyes were glaring him with deadly gaze.

This time, Kai didn't hold back and chuckled out at her look 'definitely, not at all' he was being sarcastic even in his thoughts.

"YOUUU!!!!" she gritted her teeth behind her cute sealed lips "Damn you! Hiwatari!" She muffled out as she turned around and walked away, stomping her feet on the wooden porch. she was slightly embarrassed too, this time.

'seems like I got into her nerves' kai thought with a genuine smile but unfortunately no one was there to witness him.

I know this shot is done but I felt like adding this part will be wholesome.

25 YEARS LATER_

Kai was chilling out in his living room on his home with his newborn child in his arms.

Gou went to school and hilary went for her morning walk around the mansion since she really need to exercise.

Little-Hikari was barely a month old now, so she needed atleast one family member around her unless she was sleeping.

Kai tried to stood up from his chair to get a document but when he moved, Very Little-Hikari instantly sensed him that he was about to leave her, so she started making crybaby noises.

"okay-okay, I'm not leaving!" kai instantly gave up as he sighed but when he watched her he realised he already had wake-up.

"can you give me a moment to get my file?" it's futile to ask for something like this to a month old Baby but hikari instantly got mad at him hearing about leaving her, she sensed him again and puffed her cheeks to show her disagreement. Kai's eyes slightly focused to see her response with surprise. it's very unexpected from her to reach.

POKES*

Kai instantly poked her both cheeks with thumb and index finger.

BOOP*

The air came out at once with very small bubble pooped out creating a small gap between her lips, and that's how very little hikari created this (O.O) look.

"You little angry squirrel!" kai slightly chuckled and peeked her forehead. Very little-hikari also giggled up by getting loved by her Father.

meanwhile...

Hilary watching this whole scene from the window with dangerous look in her eyes.

"This man!" she hissed as pissed off when she heard that her husband already started calling their only daughter with her most annoyed name before giving her an official name.
