Going forward, I am going to be combining chapters/ episodes to make this shorter, hopefully. There are many chapters in the jailbreak arc, and I don't want to waste your time. I am re-reading, and re-watching Promised Neverland to find critical points to include, adapt, and or leave out to maximize interest. I'm guessing every Chapter of PNLGC will consist of 2 or 3 chapters of the manga, but that may vary.

"Words" Demon Speech
Emma finds herself outside of the house, some of her siblings running around. In her hands is Burnie, looking around, she does not find its owner. Suddenly the entire world goes dark; Emma is all alone in the darkness. The only thing she sees is an open curtain. Going through, she sees a table with a single plate set up with several bottles of wine and baskets of bread. The center of the table was a large plate with Something on it; all Emma could make out was a small arm and hand reaching out. Getting closer, her eyes got adjusted, and she could see what was there.
Conny's lifeless corpse with a fork lodged in her chest. Fruit and vegetables are decorated around her body. Suddenly, before she could scream, a sickening sound of a mouth opening behind her. Turning her head, all she could see was long, sharp teeth coming towards her, ready to encase her in its mouth.
With a gasp, she finds herself in her bed. With her siblings all asleep, sitting up breathing heavily as she stares down at her shaking hands, still coming to terms with what she and Norman found just hours ago.
In the bed Next to her, Spencer lays quietly, waking from a nightmare of his own. Hearing Emma's distress, he speculates she just woke up to. He remembers his dream, a lifeless Conny on a table, with a monstrous mouth coming towards him from behind. He didn't wake up as dramatically as Emma because he is used to nightmares.
Every few months, he will have a vivid nightmare, once that ends in his death. One nightmare, he fell from a tree on his head, another time, he was in the tool shed, and an ax fell on his neck. He remembers the sensation of death and the pain of it. He got used to it after a while.
As he sits up, Emma turns to him. "Did I wake you up?" she asks in a horse and shaky tone.
"No, I had another bad dream, I'm guessing you did too. Do you want me to get Mama?" he asks.
"No!... No, I'm okay." Emma says in a panicked tone.
"Okay, do you want to talk about it? You seem scared." Spencer asks. Emma doesn't have nightmares. Something like this to affect her so much, must have been intense.
"No, I'm fine, I just need to sit and think," she says, a pained smile on her face.
Spencer gets out of bed and sits on hers, reaching over he hugs her. "It's okay as long as you are here, you're safe. Whatever you dreamed of, just remember that that's all it. A dream." he reassures his friend.
Hugging back, she thinks to herself. 'I know it was real; we aren't safe here; this is a prison, a 'farm' as the Demons put it. I will tell you, Spence, soon, but right now, I just want to see you happy.' After a couple of seconds, Spencer releases her and heads back to his bed. Emma watches him as he goes back to sleep, wondering what kind of nightmare he had before laying back down herself.
That Morning.
The morning was like any other. The six o'clock bell rang, and all the children woke up. However, rather than Emma's usual energetic morning greeting, she was melancholy and quiet. Most of the other kids noticed and assumed that she was just tired or had a bad dream. As everyone got dressed, Spencer went up to Emma and touched her shoulder.
"Did you get some sleep last night?" he asks her as she helps put Phils shoes on.
She turns to him and gives a soft smile. "Yea, I slept. Thanks for the help last night." Emma replies, however, Spencer knew she was lying, the bags under her eyes, and the feeling of deception supported his feeling.
As the children set the tables for breakfast, Emma was lost in thought, remembering what she saw. The moment she heard Mama's voice, she froze and looked at her. Seeing the mother she loved for her entire life, smile at two children with 'love' knowing she watched Conny die just last night, made her sick.
Spencer was watching her, wondering what caused her so much distress. Maybe she had a nightmare about Mama? He didn't know what happened last night, but he did know he'd find out.
After breakfast and tests, the children went outside; it was a cloudy and dark day, it was looking like it would rain. Emma and Norman went to the forest, while the others played hide and seek again. Ray decided to stay at the house and read while Spencer stayed to play on his piano. He got it for his 8th birthday; it was a miniature piano modeled after a grand piano. It made the same sound as a standard piano and was perfectly sized for him. Over the past few years, he had gotten good at it and played outside whenever he could.
Meanwhile, Emma and Norman ran to the fence after drawing a quick sketch of the orphanage grounds. They jumped over the fence and ran straight forward, going where they have never gone before.
After about a minute of running, they came across a massive concrete wall, over ten meters tall and smooth. After some investigation, the two concluded that they could use a rope and a nearby tree to climb the wall.
After devising their means of escape, Emma and Norman returned to the house. Most of the other kids are already there for lunch. However, Gilda notices that two children are missing, Nayla and Mark. Just as Gilda told Mama, Mark is seen running over, tears in his eyes crying for Mama.
"MAAAAMAAA!" Mark cries out.
"Mark, did something happen?" Mama asks him in a concerned tone.
With tears streaming down his face, Mark explains. "I got separated from Nayla while in the forest! I looked everywhere, but I couldn't find her!"
Mama takes out her pocket watch and checks the time. "It will be dark soon," she states. Then she closes the watch and smiles at Mark, "Don't worry, Everyone! Stay put while I go look for Nayla, okay?" She tells everyone. Then she walks in the direction Mark came from.
Everyone just stood there, waiting for Mama to return. After a couple of minutes, Mama could be seen coming back with Nayla in her arms. Everyone ran to them, happy to see their sister safe and sound.
"It seems she got a little tired and fell asleep," Mama tells the children. "See, she's okay, not a single scratch."
While everyone else went to Mama to see Nayla. Emma and Norman stayed behind and watched, looks of a horrible realization on their face.
"It's like she knew exactly where Nayla was." Norman states.
"A tracking transmitter, it must be somewhere in each of our bodies. That's why she's always won at hide and seek, even against Spencer." Emma says. "Her watch must be some device that tells her where we are," she replies, horror on her face.
"We can't see her for what we thought she was, she may look human and act like a mother, but she is in league with them. She's just as bad as them. She is a Demon." Norman states dramatically.
Spencer watches Norman and Emma's reaction to Mama finding Nayla. 'Why do they look scared? They were not like this yesterday, could Something of happened at the gate last night?' he asks himself. 'I'll ask them sometime tomorrow. Hopefully, they'll tell me.' he decides.
As everyone went inside to get ready for dinner, Emma and Norman went upstairs. "She knew that two of us were there last night, but I don't think she knows exactly who; otherwise, she'd come to us directly." Norman Speculates. "Therefore, I think the transmitter does not specify who is who, just where we are." Emma nodded in agreement. Mama was smart. Therefore, she would be hunting for the children that were there last night; she and Norman would have to play it cool. Like they know nothing.
"Norman! Could you help me for a second? The clock in our room is not working!" Don asks the white-haired genius.
"Okay," Norman replies, following Don.
As the boys go into their room, Emma walks up to a wall filled with drawings, one's drawn by the children and put up by Mama. A space in the center was open. Just yesterday, It was filled with a picture Conny made of her and Mama. Touching it, Emma is reminded of the innocent six-year-old, and who, as a big sister, she failed to protect.
Suddenly she feels the tension of the room skyrocket, and hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. Looking to her left, she sees Mama Staring at her, with a menacingly neutral face.
"What's wrong, Emma? You're looking pale… Now that I think about it, you were not in usual high spirits this morning. Is Something wrong?" Mama asks, remaining completely deadpan.
Emma is petrified, 'did she find out? What is she going to do? No, she's looking to see how I react, trying to pry the truth out of me. This is who she is, a cold lying farmer, and we are her cattle. I want to cry, I want to scream. I can't let her find out! I have to fake it, I must convince her I was not there last night!' she thinks.
"It's nothing!" Emma says happily, "I was just thinking that I'll be leaving here soon, and how much I'll miss you!" she continues.
With a smile, Mama asks, "You really love this house, don't you?"
"I really love this house! And I love you!" Emma tells her as she jumps, wrapping her arms around her neck. "I wonder what Conny is doing right now?" She asks, a little more depressed.
Releasing herself from Mama, Emma then tells her, "Conny said that she wanted to be a mother just like you someday."
"Yea, I know, I'm sure she will be a wonderful mother when she grows up," said Mama as she stands back up.
'She is acting as if nothing happened, unwavering determination, she's like a wall of iron!' Norman thinks to himself, watching from the bedroom. A sickening smirk grows on Mama's face. Emma starts to lose her composure, putting her hands behind her back to hide the fact that they are shaking.
RING! RING! RING!
Ray rings the dinner bell just down the hall, interrupting the situation. "Dinner is ready, Mama, Spencer and I finished the preparations," he tells her.
Mama's smirk turns into a "Normal" smile as she replies, "I'll be down there in a minute." Watching the other children run from their rooms downstairs.
Norman walks up to Emma, bringing her back to reality, "Come on, Emma lets go wash up!"
As the two children start down the stairs, Mama speaks up. "Did you two go to the Gate last night?" stopping them in their tracks, a feeling of dread shrouds over them before regaining the proper composure.
"No, we can't go there. Those are the rules," Norman replies, smiling as if nothing was wrong.
"We were helping everyone get ready for bed as usual. Right, Norman?" Emma asks Norman.
"Yea, Why do you ask Mama?" Norman questions their caregiver.
As she turned around, Mama said, "Oh nothing, don't worry about it." She turns the corner and enters her room.
Suddenly Emma drops to her knees, and Norman Grabs his chest, both heavily breathing.
"I feel exhausted like I just finished running for an hour straight," Emma states, still trying to catch her breath.
"She knows it's two people, but not that it was us. This proves that the locator can't identify us." Norman says in a calm manner.
"We have to get to dinner and look normal. We can go into the storage room and look for rope tomorrow." Emma states as she heads to the dining hall.
After dinner, Ray and Spencer are putting the youngest children into their cribs. Once all of the babies were asleep, Spencer heads towards the door only for Ray to grab his arm. Looking at him, Ray talks in a hushed voice as to not wake the sleeping children.
"Something is up with Norman and Emma. They have not been the same since last night. This Morning, Emma was acting scared, and when Nayla went missing, both looked shocked when Mama found her so quickly." Ray tells Spencer.
"Yea, your right, last night Emma had a nightmare. She wouldn't tell me what it was about, and when I offered to get Mom, she freaked out. I'm worried about her. I was going to ask her tomorrow when we are outside, will you come with me?" Spencer asks Ray, who replies with a nod. After that, they both exit the room and head to their beds.
The next morning after breakfast, while everyone is washing up, Norman and Emma head towards the storage room, entering its quietly to find some rope. After a minute of rummaging, Norman finds the perfect substitute, extra tablecloth. To avoid suspicion, they only bring two of the several extras to the concreate wall, a tree with a hole within it made the perfect hiding spot. Now over the next two months, they will acquire more and more cloth to use as rope.
"Hey, Norman! Do you think it's time we tell Ray and Spencer?" Emma asks as they walk back home.
"I was thinking the same thing, both Ray and Spencer are collected and smart. With Ray's logical thinking and tactical skills, he is necessary to us escaping, and Spencer's analytical thinking and prediction skills will make him invaluable. I'll go talk with them later. We should head back to the house." Norman says.
"You could just tell us right now, and thanks for the compliments."
Looking to the right, Emma and Norman see Ray and Spencer. Ray was sitting on a rock reading a book while Spencer was standing with his arms crossed.
"Hey, guys, whatcha doing out past the fence?" Spencer askes as Ray stands up and closes his book.
"We followed you out here, I've been curious as to why you two are acting so weird, and I'm fed up. So I asked Spencer to come with me and ask," Ray tells the two before bringing them into a headlock with both arms. "Now, what happened at the gate?"
"Ray told me how you looked when you came back from the gate, that you said you "Didn't Make it," even though Burnie was no longer with you. Furthermore, Emma acted weird when she had that nightmare, not talking about it, and looking scared when I asked if she wanted Mom. Also, you both looked odd when Mom found Nayla yesterday. So, tell us, what happened?" Spencer adds to Ray's query.
"Man, both of you are sharp as ever!" Norman says.
"Noticing such little things even when Mama didn't," Emma states, struggling to breathe under Ray's arms.
Ray releases them from his grasp so they could talk. Emma falls to the ground, comically gasping for breath. "Could you… guys help us?" Norman says, getting his breath back. "Sure, what's up?" Spencer asks, helping Emma back to her feet.
Norman and Emma explain everything, what happened to Conny, the Demons, and what Mama had to do with it. But Ray and Spencer's reactions were not what they expected.
"Demons? Farm? Human meat? And Mama is working for them?" Spencer says in disbelief. "Man, I guess we are kinda screwed, huh?"
"AHH! The latticed windows make sense now!" Ray says, pounding his fist into his palm.
"What! don't you doubt us in the slightest?" Emma asks in shock.
"Why would I. Norman would not make that kind of stuff up. You might, but Spencer is like a lie detector when it comes to Emma and would be able to tell," Ray comments with a grin.
"So, about your escape plan…" Ray starts, "there are a couple of issues with it, one being the number of people. To escape, all 37 of us would simply be impossible. Talking realistically, we could only escape with at most…"
"Hold it," Emma interrupts Ray's comment. "We want everyone to escape, and to do that, we need your guy's help."
"Everyone? You're kidding, right? The majority of the children here are under six years old. Mom. Demons. Tracking devices. These factors make an already difficult escape even more challenging." Ray states, trying to prove his point.
"No, it's not like that. There has to be away!" Emma states, definitely.
"Don't you realize, Emma?" Ray asks.
"What?" Emma asks, confused.
"Ray, wait!" Norman tries to stop.
"This is why you wanted to confront and talk to us first, you can't hide it from her forever, you know." Ray states, "I'll say it bluntly so she can fully understand."
"It won't be enough just to escape from here," Ray says to the girl.
"What do you mean?" Emma asks.
"If the fact that demons exist and are farming us, then that's enough evidence to prove to me that the world outside is not what we thought it was. For all, we know it could be we are the only humans left. If we actually escape, the unknowns of the outside world could end up killing the weaker ones. So for their own safety, we can't bring them with us." Ray explains to Emma, Hoping his point will be explained.
"No," Emma says simply. "I don't care if it's impossible, we have to do it."
Spencer chimed in, "A wise man once said, "The impossible is possible! All you gatta do is make it so!" Ray, while I see your point, I think all we have to do is brainstorm a plan. The four of us are the smartest kids here, together I know we are more intelligent than Mama or any Demon out there."
"Are you taking her side?!" Ray questions in disbelief.
"I don't want anyone to die, leaving the younger ones isn't an option, let's let the deaths end with Conny. I don't want to live in a world where one of my precious siblings ends up like that." Emma says in defiance. "If what you say is right, and the world outside is not for humans, then we have to change the world; we just have to find a way to break out with everyone."
"SO SHUT UP AND HELP US!" Emma yells, grabbing his hands.
Norman is laughing while Spencer pry's Emma of Ray. Ray then grabs Norman and goes over a couple of trees to talk.
"He has a point, you know, we don't know what it's like out there, and if we aren't properly prepared, we could end up just as dead as if we stayed," Spencer says to Emma, who is now sitting down with her arms crossed.
"So what, we just have to find a way to learn about the outside world or make educated guesses. I will not leave here without everyone with me." Emma says, looking at him, a determined and serious look on her face.
"Okay, then let's do it, I am sure that together, we will find a way to escape," Spencer says, smiling.
"Good, cuz, if you were going to disagree with me like Ray, I would hate you forever!" Emma says with a pout.
"Well, I can't have that," Spencer says, sitting next to her, and they look at the smooth wall.
Ray and Norman return soon after. Ray picks up his book and hands it to Emma. "Here, take a look at this."
"Mechanical Engineering and The History of Humans," Emma reads out loud.
"Not the title or the content, look at the publish date," Ray instructs.
Opening the book to the right page, they see the year it was published, 2015.
"This is the most recently published book in the library. Meaning that until 2015 the world was in a state where Something like this could be published." Ray explains.
"30 years, if that's the case, human society might not be completely gone, that being said, we should keep an open mind. And gather as much information as possible," Spencer concludes.
"We will get out of here, no matter the cost!" Ray speaks with power in his voice.
"Right!" the other three say in response.
The next day, after breakfast, Emma and the others went to the library to gather information.
"This map of the world is from 2010, now that I think about it, where in the world are we?" Emma asks as she places the map on the library table.
"Yea, I asked that just the other day, the day when Conny left…" Spencer says depressingly, taking out three books and placing them on top of the map.
"Because the sun rises out of the south, we can assume we live in the northern hemisphere, and since we have four seasons, we must be closer to the equator." Ray deduces.
"That's still about one-fourth of the entire planet. We don't have any reference point to find what continent we are on," Spencer says, looking at an Environmental studies book.
"Looking for cameras… going beyond the fence… and getting the ropes," Ray lists off. "Even though we started from nothing, I think we are making good progress," he says bluntly.
Suddenly Mama calls out to the four, bringing them into the dining room with Don, and Gilda, to help with some chores around the house.
After Mama, Don, and Gilda left, Emma started to freak out. "This is Bad, does She suspect it was us?!"
"Calm down, Emma, think about this from the Enemy's perspective," Ray told the panicking Orange head.
"The Enemy's perspective?" Emma repeats.
"None of the kids here are visibly shaken, so given that it, is not strange to suspect the eldest children who are most mature. This is nothing to be scared of Emma," Spencer reassures her, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"That being said, we cannot let our guard down, and we must stay at high alert, but don't worry! As of this moment, our enemy has no reason to suspect us." Norman tells the group.
Emma stood in amazement, 'these three, how are they so calm even given this situation? I guess they've always been like that, but the way they are using their skills to achieve our goal is amazing.'
After doing the chores for three days, the team figured out what Mama was doing. By keeping them busy with useless chores like cleaning unused rooms, organizing food, and checking sheets for damage, they have no time to gather intel or make a plan of escape.
Don was fed up with it, wanting to go out and play and vocalizing his distress, Gilda assumed they were being punished for no reason. Gilda and Don left to clean another room, giving the four others alone to talk about another problem, Mama's pocket watch transmitter.
"I'm sure all of us looked around our bodies for a sign of the locator, and since nobody came up looking happy, I'm guessing you guys found nothing?" Spencer speculated.
"I did some math and research during the night. A tracker that is small enough to fit in the human body without leaving a mark and that can last over ten years, is simply not possible given the technology of 2015." Ray told the group. "My theory is that such tech must have been developed by the demons. Even if that's the case, we do not have enough information on the trackers to do anything about it successfully." He continued.
"So basically, we are super screwed?" Emma concluded.
"Yep, pretty much," Ray replied.
As Emma started to scratch her head wildly in frustration, Norman spoke up. "We may not know much, but if the four of us brainstorm, we should be able to think of something." as Norman starts to pace back and forth before stopping at a wall and hitting his head against it. "We simply don't have enough to go on!" He explains.
Meanwhile, Mama was outside with the other children. Looking at her watch, she stares up the other oldest in the house. She suddenly felt a tug on her dress, looking down and seeing Phil and Mary down looking sad.
"Mama… When are Emma and the others going to be done with chores!? We want to play with them!?" Phil asks.
"I want to hear Spencer play the piano. Can they be done now, please?" Mary asks Mama with wide eyes.
Smiling at the two children, she puts her hand on Phil's head. "Don't worry, this is their last day of chores."
That night Mama had to go out for a bit to "pick something up," as she said. When she returned, she had a baby girl in her arms and a large dark-skinned woman following her. Bringing everyone into the dining hall, she introduced them to everyone.
"This is your new little sister Carol. The woman next to me is Sister Krone, she will be helping me with chores around the house." Mama told the children.
"An adult?" Emma says in disbelief. None of them have ever seen another adult other than Mama.
"This is bad, that woman, Krone is definitely working for mother and therefore working for the demons. This means we have an extra pair of eyes on us." Spencer said to the other's worry on his face.
The next day, the children who were doing the chores can finally go out and play. Norman, Emma, Spencer, and Ray go out to a tree a little way from the house but still in-sight of the house as to not be suspicious.
"Damn it!" Spencer exclaimed, punching the tree. "We were tricked! Krone moved into that room we cleaned; all the chores were for Krone's arrival. We gave ourselves a disadvantage."
"Calm down, it's that kind of acting that's part of Mama's plan," Ray states, grabbing Spencer's arm. "Yes, we have another wall to overcome, but now we also have two new resources for information. We lost a battle, yes, but this war is still ours."
"First, we need to find out where Carol and Krone came from," Emma states as they start running into the forest.
"We can assume that Carol is Conny's replacement, like restocking the supplies." Normal concluded.
"Agreed, if this is a farm, there must be a place where the demons are getting 1-year-olds for this farm. With carol being new here, she must have some sort of mark from the transplant. On another note, there are more adults out there. The question is, are they abducted and forced to work, or are they born into servitude." Ray states.
"To summarize everything into three parts. 1, The adults are our key to gaining knowledge about the outside world. 2, Carol is the key to finding the tracker. 3, Mama's acting weird." Spencer lists.
"Huh?" Emma questions.
"You don't see it, I thought with how well you can read people's emotions, you could see something so obvious." Ray insults Emma, much to her displeasure. "Though indirect, she continues to try to intimidate us. Every time she gets a chance, she shows how much smarter she is, and how we are like puppets to her. If she truly knew our plans, why would she keep intimidating us instead of just stopping us?" Ray explains.
"You… Your right!" Emma exclaims, now seeing what he sees.
"She has the capability of catching us, yet she doesn't, there must be a reason that she can't or intentionally doesn't," Norman tells the group.
"We may not know why, but we should try and take advantage of the opportunity. Being careful, of course, this could just be her leading us into a false sense of security." Spencer hypotheses.
"That's an idea to keep in mind, but for now, let's focus on Carol. We can't all start looking over her body for a mark…" Ray says, looking at Emma.
Before she can even notice the message, he is trying to give her. "I'll do it, tonight Gilda and I are bathing the babies. I'll find out where the tracker is!"
That night before bed, Emma and Gilda left for the babies' room to wash and change their diapers. Emma's mission was to look over Carol's entire body and to find the mark left by the tracker.
While Emma did her mission, Norman and Ray cleaned the dishes, and Spencer played his piano for some of the children.
"It would be great to outsmart both of them, but even then, it's not enough. The demons outside are probably guarding this place 24/7. No, why they would let high-quality goods just run away." Ray states quietly, hoping Sister Krone doesn't hear them talking.
"We must avoid our escape to be reported at all costs. We have no hope if we have to fight those demons", Norman says.
"There is a way we could avoid it all together…" Ray suggests, making a small stabbing motion with the fork in his hand.
Before Norman could respond, a shadow loomed over them. Turning their heads, they see the giantess Krone herself smiling.
"You must be Ray and Norman, right? Mama tells me how both of you have perfect scores on the tests. That's quite impressive!"
With a proud smile, Norman replies. "Yes, that's us. Nice to meet you, Sister Krone! And thank you."
"Oh, please just call me Big Sister, while I am here, I hope to become part of this family!" she says, putting out her hands to be shaken by the boys.
Both of them don't hesitate to shake her hands; they were big and strong. Norman guesses she could break their hands right then and there if she wanted to.
"Let's get along," Krone states before walking towards the other side of the dining hall towards Spencer.
Spencer was playing a lullaby for his siblings. It helps them relax before bed. Everyone enjoys listening to him play, and over the years, he has made a few songs of his own. The lullaby he was playing was called Oración by an unknown artist. It was in a book of piano music he found in the library a few years ago.
While playing, Spencer noticed Krone listen to his song, her eyes burning into his skull. The other children were yawning and rubbing their eyes. One had fallen asleep on the table, her head in her arms like a pillow.
Once he had finished the song, Sister Krone came up to him.
"What a beautiful song! You must be Spencer. I was told you were quite the musician as well as getting top scores on the test, that's impressive! I hope we will get along, Spencer, please call me Big Sister." Krone tells the boy as he looks up at the mountain of a woman in front of him. While the smile on her face seemed genuine, her eyes were still staring through his soul.
'I need to stay calm and act natural. She is definitely trying to intimidate me with her size and her stare.' The boy thought as he got up from sitting. "Thank you, it's a song I learned from one of the books in the library called Oración. The younglings love it when I play lullabies for them, so I try to do it whenever possible. I'm sure we will get along great Big sis!" He replies, smiling, and outstretching his hand.
As they shook hands, Spencer could tell she was trying to read him, trying to figure out if he knew.
When she turned away, he felt like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders. He turned to the sleeping child on the table and picked her up, walking to their room to put her to bed.
While Krone was intimidating the boys, Emma and Gilda, went to wash the babies. All children younger than 3 years old stay in Mama's room in cribs, and only kids over the age of 10 can take care of them.
Emma and Gilda check the baby's diaper and change them if need be, then start to clean them by washing them with a warm damp towel. Emma Washed a few of the other children before getting to Carol, the newest member of her family. Even though she just arrived yesterday, she loved her like all of her siblings. So small, so fragile, so innocent, too innocent for the world she was born into.
Shaking her head, she went to work cleaning her, checking every part of her body. As she washed her sister, Gilda tried to talk to Emma.
"Emma, I've meant to ask for a few days now. That night, on that night, what happe-" Before she could finish, Emma put Carol down quickly and looked behind her ears. "Emma?" Gilda asks in confusion.
On the outer side of Carol's antihelix was a small bump with an even dot in the setter resembling a bug bite.
"Is that a bug bite?" Gilda asked, looking at the baby's ear.
"This is a needle mark. A long time ago, Mama told me that they take a small blood sample from us before we come here, to make sure we are healthy." Emma told her close friend.
'This is it! Everyone had it when they first came here, it's small and in a place where it could be removed when they leave.' Emma concluded, looking at Carol as she reached out to Emma.
The Next morning Emma and the boys met up at the usual place so she could tell them the good news.
"Our ears? I mean, it makes sense. It's hard to damage that part of our body accidentally. And because it is just cartilage, it won't get in the way of the demons eating us." Ray deduces.
"This is the first time I've heard of blood tests," Norman tells Emma.
"Yea, sorry I never told you before. It just didn't come to me until now," Emma says with a frown.
"Don't be and stop with the frown! You gave us vital information that none of us could've gotten. Knowing the trackers' size and the location is one big step closer to getting out of here!" Spencer says, trying to cheer up Emma.
A quick smile of reassurance grows on her face before getting serious once again. "Thanks for that, but the bigger problem is how we will get rid of them?" Emma asks the group.
"We can't just remove it, Mama often puts her hand around that area as a sign of comfort and love. It must actually be to check to see if the ear is damaged," Ray concludes. "They must be confident in their ability to track us if the transmitter only locates us and not identifies."
"What if they get notified if one breaks?" Norman asks with a dawn of realization.
"That is a possibility. When we do take care of the trackers, it will have to be the minute we leave just in case." Ray tells the other three to which they nod. "Anyhow, now that I know the shape, size, and location of the trackers, I have an idea of what we could do. Do you guys mind if you leave it to me?" Ray asks them.
"Yea, I got no problem with it. I know you can handle it. If all else fails, we could just cut our ears off and throw them in our bed." Spencer says. Ray nods with approval while Emma looks a little green.
"With that out of the way, let's deal with the next issue. How are we going to bring everyone with us?" Norman asks, bringing up the next point. "With the exception of us, everyone trusts Mama, so much so that some might not be able to handle the truth."
"We may have to lie to them," Emma says, a little saddened by lying to her siblings.
"Not only that, but most of them also have terrible stamina. Or just plain stupid." Ray says in a deadpan manner.
"RAY! STOP BEING MEAN!" Emma yells at the boy.
"But you can't deny it. Some can't even walk for more than a few meters, and the one's that can walk, don't run that far," Ray tells the girl.
"...I thought about that, and I think I have an idea. Playing tag," Emma says to the rest of the group.
"Tag?" The tree boys ask.
"Yea tag, Norman or Spencer is it, and everyone else runs away, using tactics and their bodies. Disguising training with playing tag," Emma tells them.
"Disguising training with playing tag," Norman repeats the idea going through his head.
"Emma! You're a genius! We may not know how fast demons are, but by teaching them survival strategies under the guise of tag and hind n' seek, even Mama won't tell what's going on! You hit the jackpot!" Spencer praises the girl causing her to blush and smile.
"Spencer, you teach them how the person whose "it," thinks, and how to use that to your advantage. Norman teaches them how to use the environment to their advantage. Ray teaches them tactics that they use to escape. I'll teach them how to use their bodies best they can," Emma tells them, to which they all agree.
Ray started as soon as the group dispersed, getting together a few kids and telling them some strategies to help them when playing tag. Ray told them things like who to hide their footprints and making fake prints, using downwind to hide their voices or smell.
Thoma, a 7-year-old boy who got caught by Norman. "Man, I thought I got away…" Thoma wined.
"Just only erasing your own footprints is not enough, you have to keep an eye out for the enemy's tracks. Norman sees right through you." Ray tells the boy. "Next time you should…" Ray trails off as he looks for someone, unable to see her. "Where did she go!?" He says out loud.
"Where did who go?" Thoma asks the older boy.
Meanwhile, Emma, Norman, and Spencer, along with a few others, are approached by Krone with a huge smile.
"You look like you're having fun! Care if I join in?" Sister Krone asks.
Chapter 2, End.
I know some people don't like long chapters, but I enjoy them, so that's how I'm writing them. I know in canon it's the oldest girls who take care of the babies, but I wanted to change that, so I did. I'm sure that people see the mystery of Spencer and what he can really do, but I'll leave the explaining to the story until the time is right. Not many people read PNL Fanfic, probably in fear of child lewding or yaoi. Still, I appreciate everyone who reads, even if you don't review.
This is RightouesHope wishing you a good day.
