Chapter 13: The Sleepover

A sleepover that would heal the wounds of a mother/daughter relationship. Plus a rare bonding moment between Sabrina, Olympia, Anabel, and Argenta.

After the insanity of karaoke, Ash and Anabel were suddenly transported to the holiday tree; as they saw the cooler still in one piece. Seems Gardevoir was the one who transported the lovers over here. Gardevoir smiled as she presented the cooler to them. "Thank You Gardevoir!" Both told her as they would open the cooler and saw a small blue box. Ash eyes widened as he saw the gold trim and a unique symbol. "This can't be." Anabel looked at the box and she was just as dumbfounded by the discovery. But soon after laughed as she realized it was more than a coincidence. "I think my dad found our airplane mates." Ash would smile as that was reassuring that it wasn't just a fluke. "But how did your dad know about Fantina and her husband Alex?" Anabel saw envelopes on the side and smiled. "I have a feeling my dad's luck was on his side. (She would open her envelope that has her name on it. And sure enough it was a Christmas card from Fantina. She smiled as she would read the card.) Bonjour Anabel. If you're reading this; then you have successfully snagged your lover. I couldn't be happier for you and Ash; and I hope you are together for many years to come. P.s. if you ever head to Hearthome, let me know. I know a place that perfect for wedding dresses."

Ash smiled but looked at her as he overheard wedding dresses. He was envisioning her in a wedding dress; as it was something he wouldn't even think of the first time he met her. She saw that look as she would whisper in her ear. "Thinking of wedding bells too Ash?" She smirked as he shook off that look. "Uh no." She would kiss his cheek gently. "It's okay, but just remember we have time before we walk down the aisle together." He blushed as he knew she would read him like an open book. He would open his envelope and it was a Christmas card. But he gasped as he saw Fantina and Alex together. 'Bonjour Ash. I guessed you found a good use for your present. Love can never be rushed. So enjoy the sweet moments now and more to come. Speaking of sweets, the box contains my signature chiffon cupcakes. Three with lavender buttercream frosting. And three with lemon buttercream frosting.' Anabel peeked over and read the rest of the note. 'Go ahead and try both flavors. One that represents you. And the other is your significant of course. P.s. To Anabel and Ash, I would choose the Arbok sweaters next time. At least they know how to hug and snuggle.' Anabel chuckled as she couldn't believe that part. Ash laughed but would chime in. "Well it's true. But not too tight. Just to be comforted by the one." He was cut off when she looked into his eyes and smiled. She poked his nose and smirked; before kissing on his lips gently. "You mean the one you love?" She would smile and wrap her arms around him gently. Ash felt the hug and would blush. He had no words, other to enjoy this private moment.

A moment later Casin spotted them; along with a sneaky Gardevoir who tried to hide behind the holiday tree. "Alright you two, time to wrap it up. Your Umbreon has to go." Anabel pouted as she wanted one night with her love. "Dad, can he stay over? Only fair as I stayed at his place." He couldn't believe her daughter's moxie. But still had to be her dad. "Well it's not up to me of course. At least ask his family first." Anabel nods as she would take Ash by his hand and would head to the house. No doubt this will be an interesting plea. When they were inside, they saw Kukui and Burnet and both would hug the lovers. Kukui smiled as he would rub his son's hair. "I hate to cut the party short, but duty calls back at Alola." Ash wondered if there was an ultra beast in Alola. Before he could ask, he was hugged by Burnet. Who had a sense of what he was thinking. "No ultra beasts. But Lusamine needs me back at Aether Paradise. And I have a feeling you'll be staying a night or two here." Ash's surprised look was a treat; as Anabel couldn't help but chuckle. "I guess you knew my intentions right?" Burnet smirked and reply. "Well, more or less. Believe it or not your mom asked us if our son could stay for the night." Both Ash and Anabel were in shock. But then laughed as they forget it is a psychic house after all. Anabel hugged them as she smirked. "Don't worry, we'll be good. Can't hide anything around here." She realized why dad had to find a spot to hide gifts. No secret is safe inside this house.

Ash would see his other mom Delia, holding onto Lei. She would first hand Lei to Burnet; before hugging both Ash and Anabel. She whispered in her ear "Don't forget to make sure he wears clean you know what." Anabel laughed as thankful she got the jest of her message from the first time she heard it. "Don't worry, he's wearing clean underwear." That got Ash to pout "Mom!" Which only made Anabel giggle more. Argenta arrived as she had everything set up for Ash's family to return home. "Alright you guys, I have a direct line from Aether Paradise. So Faba will transport Kukui, Burnet, and Lei over. Ash would hug his Alolan family one more time as he saw Faba with a few gifts in the background. "Hi Faba, what's going on?'' Faba smiled as he and his Alakazam were there. "Well hello Ash. I hate to cut the conversation short. But have to bring your family to Aether. Need some parental advice on odd cravings." Ash, Kukui, and Burnet smiled as they had a feeling when he said odd cravings. "Congratulations on the baby!" They shouted as Faba couldn't help but grin. "Alright Alakazam, teleport Kukui, Burnet, and Lei over." His Alakazam teleported the trio over. And now was there along side him. Though was a brief moment as they would rush over to check on Wicke.

Anabel saw the moment and had to ask Ash the obvious. "So who is having a baby?" Ash would answer with a smile. Professor Wicke from Aether Paradise. She and Faba are having a baby." Anabel nodded as she would probably know more from her dad. Argenta would set up the next call and this time for Professor Oak. When she got the connection, she saw a younger man answered. "Hello young man. Did you suddenly turn young Samuel?" She chuckled as she knew it wasn't him. Apparently it was Gary who was watching the facility. "Sorry Argenta, my grandpa and cousin are out for karaoke. (He saw Argenta chuckle and overheard a young lady yell "Oh God" in the background.) Say, who said that?" Anabel slipped in and smiled. "Sorry about that. Mom forced the party to have karaoke this year." Gary nods and saw Delia walking with her son; as she was wiping something from his cheek. Then glanced over at the sweaters. "Hey Ash. Since when did you start wearing my Umbreon sweater?" Ash chuckled as he knew it was only a matter of time. "It was a gift from Anabel's father." Gary smirked and knew better. "Congrats to you and Anabel" Anabel was surprised to hear that. But face palmed as she giggled. Clearly her attire, along with Ash's was a dead giveaway. Before she could answer, Delia smiled and waved her phone. "Don't worry Gary, I have plenty to share." Gary laughed, seeing Ash and Anabel gulped at the same time.

Argenta chuckled but had to wrap it up. She and her Alakazam were ready to send Delia home. "Alright you guys Delia is heading home right now." Ash hugged his mom one more time. "Don't worry mom I'll be alright." She nodded and chuckled "I know. Besides, I know you can't get away with anything here." Both Ash and Anabel blushed as it wasn't their intention. Argenta smirked as her Alakazam would teleport Delia to Professor Oaks and it was a success. "Safe travels and I'll email the torture; I meant karaoke later." Delia smiled and nods. "Thank You. And tell Sabrina thanks for earlier." Argenta nods as the call would end. She looked over at the two as she would move in and whisper in her daughter's ear. "If you promise to behave, show Ash to your room." She grinned seeing her daughter turn bright red. Anabel pouted as she couldn't believe her. "Mom! We have been very good. Besides, can't sneak anything here anyway." She would take Ash upstairs as she was still peeved by her mom. The rest of the party died down and many of the guests left. Except for Casin who was staying to get Anabel set up for her Alolan journey. And Scott, who apparently missed his ride, was stuck to spend the night. Knowing Sabrina was here, he was hopeful that he won't spend another year wetting the bed.

It would be around midnight, as many would be asleep. Except for four psychic lasses who were in the kitchen; scheming for a crazy prank. Argenta in her Buneary pajamas, looked around to make sure things were clear. But Sabrina, in her Glameow pajamas giggled. "Don't worry. My Hypno is keeping them asleep. While my Alakazam has them all in one spot." Argenta nods as Olympia in her blue and white Meowstic pajamas chuckled at this diabolical plan. "I do approve of this. But isn't it a bit of an overkill? I mean Scott had it coming. But Lucian, Casin, and Ash too?" Anabel nods in her lilac pajamas. "Yea, I don't want anyone hurt. (In particular to her brother, father, and lover.)" Sabrina would reassure them as they were now in the living room. The four lads were sitting up right; and still asleep, unaware of what is about to happen. Sabrina smirked as she would prepare herself for her wicked magic. "Alright, unlike previously I have a 20 minute window of doll fun. But plenty of time to have fun." Argenta nods, realizing that Sabrina's Hypno probably gave a suggestion that whatever happens tonight will be one weird dream. Though she had to admit, she was looking forward to this. "Remember Sabrina, keep the hair lifelike." Anabel heard that and had to cover her mouth to muffle her laughter. "Mom! (She glanced over at Olympia giggling and couldn't believe this.) Auntie!" Sabrina saw that and pouts playfully. "Sister Annie, don't you lie. You're just as wicked as all of us." Anabel giggled as she had to admit it was going to be a joy to play dolls again.

Sabrina looked at the four unsuspecting lads, as her eyes turn light blue. The lads glowed before a moment later; they would turn into 12 inch dolls. Thankfully there was no need to change their clothes, since it's formed onto their doll bodies. But their hair is real and fair game to a devious set of psychic trainers. Anabel was in shock, but quickly changed her mood when she ran up to grab her Ash doll. "Oh Ash, so soft and cuddly." The others laughed, seeing Anabel act like a young girl. Argenta in particular could only smile, seeing her precious baby be herself. "Oh Annie, I.." Before she could continue, Sabrina wanted the party started. "Come on, we only have 20 minutes of fun and torture." They nodded as they would grab the dolls and head to Olympia's room. The room was decked out in hair accessories, hair dye, and safety scissors. The scissors was in case any had the urge to sever any ties. Or in particular, to keep Sabrina from exacting revenge on a certain frontier boss.

Once they had their dolls on the table, they would go to town, giving the new hair doos. Olympia gave Scott's hair a more blonde look with red pigtails and pink bows on at least 3 of the pigtails. Sabrina gave her fiancee Lucian a more sinister look. In this case, making his hair light blue; and giving him clothes that looked like her old doll. She smirked as she would place the doll in front of her face. "Come play with me." Olympia could only laugh, seeing her nephew being toyed literally. Argenta gave her Casin doll a Gardevoir look. She couldn't help but laugh as she knew his Gardevoir would only laugh at this hair style. Anabel couldn't help but smile, seeing her mom so happy, as she was dying Ash's hair lavender. Yet she had something on her chest. "Mom, can I speak to you in private?" Argenta looked at her and gently placed her doll down; before getting up. "I'll be in the kitchen sweetie." She would head to the kitchen to wash up, as Anabel would follow suit. Sabrina and Olympia knew what was up and left them to chat. Once in the kitchen, Anabel would wash her hands, before hugging her mom tightly. "I'm sorry mom. I'm sorry for lashing out on you and dad. I'm sorry for not being a grateful daughter." Argenta knew her baby was upset about the divorce; and would let her hug it out. "It's okay sweetie. I take it you spoke to your father, right? (Anabel crying as she nodded.) I know it was a shock to you and your brother back then. But you're a stronger person now. Plus a responsible young lady to boot." Anabel wiped her tears as she rarely had these moments with her mom; given their positions as frontier brains. She would look at mom and had one question. "What is Alola like? I heard was a great place for a vacation." Argenta smirked as she pinched her cheeks gently. "Sunscreen is a must. Trust me, you'll need it for the sunny island. And you're not going to see your boyfriend while you're training." Anabel pouted as her cheeks were both pinched and flushed. "I'm not trying to make a love nest with my boyfriend." Argenta smirked as she looked into her eyes. "My dear Annie. I want you to enjoy this new experience. Embrace the culture and be a better trainer. Besides, your father won't let you off easy like I would. (Anabel nods as she knew mom was the good cop and dad was the tough one.) Tomorrow, were leaving early for our mother/daughter new you, new doo."

Anabel nods as she was in need of a pedicure and a manicure as well. She overheard Sabrina calling for the others to return. "Come on, I can't have this much evil; I meant fun alone without you guys." Both Anabel and Argenta laughed as they realized the clock was ticking. So they returned to the room to finish with their doll makeovers. About five minutes left, in the living room Olympia had some remote control cars and had a crazy idea. "Winner of the race gets to decide next year's holiday entertainment." That was a prize worth racing for. Sabrina grinned as she had her Luci in the driver's seat. "Oh were dancing next year!" Anabel grinned as she placed her Ash doll in the car. "For once, don't let our mom or aunt win." Sabrina nods as they are not planning on singing again. Olympia overheard that and smirked. "Say sis, I'll make a deal." Argenta grinned as she probably knew the plan her daughter's were hatching. "Alright sis, let's make them pay." Clearly all four are headstrong lasses who are super determined not to lose.

It would be 10 laps around the living room table; before heading to Olympia's room for the finish. "No psychic funny business in this race." Anabel had to remind the racers; in particular to her aunt and mother. They glared at her, but nods as they were on the same page for once. Everyone nods as all would start without someone counting down. It was neck to neck as the cars jockey for position for the inside. Sabrina had the early lead, but Argenta slipped ahead. Anabel and Olympia try to move in; but Argenta kept her composure. It was neck to neck, as after the 10th lap; all of them was heading to the hallway for the final stretch. Argenta had the sight lead, but Sabrina would move her car to knock Argenta's off course. "Come on sis, win this!" Argenta smirked as she would cheer for her sister. "Come on sis, one more year of torture awaits!" Olympia smirked as she was neck to neck with Anabel. Just as Olympia was going to win, her Scott doll slips out and Olympia knew it was over. Argenta cursed as she couldn't believe her luck. Anabel avoided her boss doll, before her car would cross the finish line and would rush over to Sabrina to hug her gently. "We won we won!" Sabrina couldn't help but to rub salt in the wound. "Dance, Dance, boogie wonderland" Argenta glared at that Scott doll as she wanted to at least make him suffer more. Of course ripping it to pieces was out of the question. But had a better idea: give him a pink frilly dress, and apply makeup to the face. "Ah, much better. At least when they are back to normal I'll.." She was cut off by Sabrina, who was in a panic. "Less evil and place the dolls in the beds now."

They raced to get the dolls and place them in their rooms on the bed. And just in time as the doll spell wore off and they return to their normal size. However, their doll makeovers were still there as each one would take a picture of each of them. It was pure blackmail and something they'll never forget. After all of their fun, they head to the kitchen to get some drinks. They laughed and raise their cups in the air "Best Prank Ever!" It was a rare moment as all four would enjoy the moment. Anabel didn't want this moment to end; and had a suggestion. "Say mom, can we.." Argenta cuts her off as she knew what she was thinking. "Were all going to the salon in the morning. (She giggled seeing her baby pout.) Were all going to have another day of fun and teasing. I meant quality time together." All of them nods and would hug each other gently; before heading to their rooms.

In the morning, Ash would wake up groggy as he felt his head spinning. But had to leave early, because Gary was picking him up; and Anabel and the other lasses were heading to their salon. "I had such a weird dream. I was racing in a thrilling race with Casin, Lucian, and Scott." Anabel chuckled as she would kiss his cheek gently. "I'm sure it was probably one of those party dreams. But...(She didn't want to say goodbye to her lover. But knew she would have to. Plus, traveling with him to Alola would be a distraction to her training.) I'm sure you'll have sweet dreams." Ash nodded as he heard the knocks of the door. "I take it Gary is there. (He would rush over and saw Gary and was relieved.) Morning Gary." Gary saw Ash and couldn't help but chuckle and saw Anabel shake her head no. He realized and kept his composure. "Ready to go Ashy boy?" Ash nods, as he would hugs Anabel one more time. "I'll see you at the Alolan league" She kisses him on the lips gently and smiles and soon lets him on his way. As he left, she turned around and saw the other lasses smirk and snicker. "How much torture will I receive in the salon?" Sabrina smiled and ruffles her hair gently. "Not as bad as the lads when they wake up." Anabel nodded and would admit that today will be a good day.
