This one parodies a subplot from 'The One With the Blackout". That's right people.
This request from Boris Yeltsin takes us all the way back to Season 1.
Lynn Senior was entering the ATM vestibule to take some money off his card. He only needed 40 dollars. The second he finished, he saw that he was not alone. Benny's mom, Ms. Stein was there too.
"Hey," he started thinking. "That's the mom of your daughter's boyfriend. You should get to know her more."
He quickly forgot it and started to leave. That was when the power went out at the ATM. In fact, power went out all over Royal Woods.
"Great," he thought. "I'm stuck here. Mom is stuck at Stella's house. I just hope the kids are okay."
Ms. Stein saw Lynn.
"She's looking at me," Lynn thought. "What do I do? Just smile, you stumped fool."
He did, thus allowing Ms. Stein to smile back.
"Aren't you one cool dude?" she commented.
"She thinks I'm cool," He says to himself. "She thinks I'm really cool. What do I do? Just thank her, silly goose. Just thank her."
He did.
Ms Stein told him, "no problem bro. I'm just worried about how long we'll be stuck here. This blackout could go on for hours. It might go on for days."
Lynn thought to himself, 'did she say we could be trapped here for days?"
This started to worry Lynn a bit. It was going to be a matter of time before the worrying could increase. Ms. Stein was talking to Benny on her phone.
"Yeah," she said. "It's gonna be a while. Just use a nightlight until I get back."
Benny thanked her.
"No problem," Ms. Stein said.
She then looked over at Lynn.
"Hey," she said. "Do you wanna use my phone?"
Lynn Senior thought, "should I? Should I? Of course so. Mom's not gonna be home for a while, and the kids are alone."
He agreed to using her phone.
"Hello?" Leni asked. "Hi dad. What's shaking?"
"Not much," Lynn answered. "I was here at this ATM when the power went out. Ms. Stein is with me keeping me calm."
"Okay," Leni said. "Hey guys, dad is at an ATM with Benny's mom."
The others couldn't believe it.
"Is he alright?" Lynn Junior asked.
"Should he be worried?" Luna added.
Leni answered, "he'll be totes fine. It's you guys I'm starting to feel worried about, especially the younger ones."
Back at the ATM, Lynn Senior was still with Ms. Stein. It has now been 20 minutes since the power blackout began.
"So," Me. Stein said. "I hear one of your daughters has been under the boyfriend/girlfriend status with my son for quite some time now."
"They are," Lynn said to her. "Luan and Benny make such a great pair. It's almost as if they were made for each other."
"I know, right?"
The two of them let out a few giggles.
Ms. Stein commented. "So, if you're a bit hungry, or looking for something to chew on, I have some gum. Do you want some?"
Lynn thought to himself, "do I want some? Of course I do, it's perfection. It's like toothpaste you can chew."
With that, Ms. Stein gave him some gum. While chewing on it, Lynn asked what flavor it was.
"It's watermelon flavor," she answered.
Lynn Senior thought, "pretty amazing."
It was amazing.
On the other hand, a few seconds later, Ms. Stein saw that something was not right about him.
"Oh my god," she said with a startled look. "You're choking on the gum. Hang on, let me help you."
She saw something like this before and knew how to do it right. She successfully got the gum out of Lynn Senior. The only thing one might find icky is that it landed on a table nearby.
"Wow," Lynn Senior said. "I thought that gum was gonna kill me. Thank you."
"Anything for a friend like you," Ms. Stein said.
Later that evening, both Lynn Senior and Ms. Stein was listening to some music from back in the day.
"I had no idea you like this type of music," he told Ms. Stein.
Ms. Stein told him, "80s music is always a good time. I still have internet access despite the power blackout."
Lynn Senior commented, "that must be very cool of you to have that by your side."
The two of them were enjoying their time together. In fact, they were having so much fun, the two of them almost ended up kissing one another. However, just as they were about to touch mouths, the power came back on. The doors unlocked as well.
"What do you know?" Lynn Senior responded. "The power's back on."
Ms. Stein replied, "saved by the bell. Either way, it was nice getting to know you."
"It sure was," Lynn Senior said.
He then thanked her for the phone and for saving his life.
Ms. Stein then said, "no problem. If you ever want some time with me again, just call."
She then waved goodbye as she walked out the ATM vestibule. Lynn Senior stood there thinking about the next time they can hang out.
As we wrap this up, I want to give Boris Yeltsin a big thank you for this request. Now I see why "The One With the Blackout" was one of the fan favorites among the cast, crew and fans.
