Chapter 11
Villains walked through the portal in the main plaza, but three of them quickly took Aizawa's attention, the one that seemed made from the black mist, Aizawa could swear that he was responsible for the portals, the mountain of muscle with a bird head and exposed brain and the last one was the guy with hands all over his body, he was irradiating a lot of killer intent
"All Might isn't here. He was supposed to be here… maybe if I kill a bunch of kids he'll come" the one with a lot of severed hands on his body said loudly, for what reason Aizawa couldn't tell, but it surely put him on edge
"Villains" Izuku whispered while looking at all the enemies coming from the portal, his eyes narrowed, and took a step forward, only to be stopped by Aizawa
"Midoriya stay put that's an order" He saw Izuku's face turn serious but he complied "If the intruders' alarm didn't activate that means they have some way to interrupt the signal, Kaminari use your quirk to try to contact the other teachers, Thirteen start the evacuation" Aizawa capture scarf started to float around him "I'll entertain them while the rest of the staff gets here"
"There are too many Aizawa sensei, your battle style is not suited for battles like this" Izuku said through gritted teeth
"I told you before Midoriya, you can't be a hero being a one-trick pony" Izuku looked conflicted and Aizawa knew he needed to tell him something to stop him from jumping behind him "You're the class representative keep your classmates safe, do your job" Aizawa prepared to jump to the fray when he heard Izuku whisper at him
"I know, but that doesn't stop me from being worried for you" before Izuku could say anything else Aizawa was already on the air ready to battle. Izuku saw his sensei start to take care of the villains knocking them out as quickly as he could. Slamming them against each other or into the floor, every hit he threw had all his strength in it
"He won't last too much if he is using that much energy" Izuku was using all his will power to not disobey a direct order from his teacher
"Midoriya is not the time to analyze the battle let's get going!" Iida's shout snapped Izuku out of his thoughts. He nodded at his friends and started running to the exit only to be stopped by a massive black shadow that appeared in front of them
"You'll not pass from here, let me introduce us, we're the league of villains. It may seem presumptuous but we're here to kill the symbol of peace, All Might" Thirteen, and all the students got on edge after hearing that "It's a shame that he isn't here, was there a change of plans?"
A barrage of shurikens and an explosion phased through the black mist villain and exploded behind him creating a cloud of smoke. A few seconds later when the smoke cleared, the villain stood there with his narrowed eyes on them.
"I'm sorry I forgot for a moment that you're hero students, meaning that you're dangerous for our plans" the villain exploded in a massive black mist "My job here is to scatter you and kill you"
Izuku saw it in slow motion, portals opening all around them, separating them into small groups of people. He looked around him and saw that the group he was being teleported with was Tsuyu and Mineta
"I can use Hiraishin to get out of the portal… but I'll be leaving Tsuyu with only Mineta as her support… and he doesn't seem like the fighter type" He turned to see the villain once again. Anything he could notice would be useful to his friends that won't be teleported, his eyes narrowed on the metal neckpiece the villain has
"GUYS WHOEVER THAT DOESN'T GET TELEPORTED AIM FOR THE METAL PIECE HE HAD ON HIS NECK! IT'S THE ONLY SOLID PART OF HIS BODY!" Izuku shouted as loud as he could. The mist villain narrowed his eyes at him again "Be safe… and I'll be back" Izuku growled finally being consumed by the portal
When the light returned to Izuku's eyes, he was falling into a big lake, regaining his stance molded chakra on his feet and when he touched the water he didn't sink
"A water biome, I was teleported with Tsuyu and Mineta… that means they don't know about our abilities, after all, this would be the perfect place for Tsuyu" He turned to see a big fin approaching him at high speed, a nasal voice shouted under the water
"Wait, are you standing over the water?! Jesus-" He was cut by a powerful kick delivered by Tsuyu
"That's blasphemous kero!" Tsuyu's head turned at him "But certainly is really weird Midoriya chan" Izuku couldn't help but chuckle, he heard another splash behind and saw Mineta moving violently on the water, Izuku could see more villains approaching them
"I'm taking Mineta out of the water Midoriya chan run to the ship I'll see you there in a bit kero!" Izuku nodded at her after all she was faster than him in water, they separated and as soon as Izuku jumped on the ship Mineta slammed on the floor beside him rather harshly
"Did something happen?" Izuku asked. Tsuyu's head poked over the railing of the boat
"Nothing you have to worry about Midoriya chan," Tsuyu said smiling, Mineta just groaned in pain
"Okay if you say so" Izuku scratched the back of his head and turned serious again. he started muttering to himself "They knew about the class plans, they knew that All Might should be here… yesterday when the press broke in, it was a distraction. They had everything planned from the begging" Izuku's knuckles went white, his anger rising quickly
"But we don't need to worry about that! All Might should be here any moment. He'll put them in their place!" Mineta said punching the air
"I don't think they would have come without a plan Mineta chan, they must have a plan to beat All Might" Izuku nodded at Tsuyu's declaration "And if what the mist guy said is true, they plan on killing us too, we don't know if we'll survive until All Might get here, and we don't know if whatever plan they have won't stop All Might"
Izuku was really impressed at Tsuyu's calm demeanor, even after thinking about all of that she didn't seem scared at all
"Midoriya, what are we going to do… wait what is that sound?!" Mineta said shaking Izuku's leg. He turned to the water and noticed that a good amount of villains surrounding them
"Tsuyu is right they want to kill All Might for whatever reason, and if they ventured to make a direct attack on U.A. they should have a really good plan, but why, what's the reason for an attack with so much risk, questions for later I need to take care of this situation first" Izuku sighed and started thinking of a plan
"They planned this grand scale attack but they don't seem to have enough information" Mineta and Tsuyu turned to look at him "They don't know about our abilities, if they did there is no way they would send Tsuyu here where she makes the best of her quirk"
"What does that means?!" Mineta shouted at him
"They just planned to take us with numbers, so we can develop a plan using their lack of information at our favor," Izuku said smiling "They're underestimating us, they had us trapped here and they haven't tried to sink the ship or get on the boat, they want to scare us first to make us suffer"
"How are you so calm saying that?!" Mineta said barely containing tears
"Because I know we can beat them, but first I need to know all the information you can give me about your quirks" Izuku and Tsuyu crouched at Mineta's height to whisper and avoid being heard
After hearing their abilities Izuku started to develop a plan and a few contingency ones. A few seconds later he already knew what they should do, but they needed to do it quickly, they've already lost enough time
"I have a plan but first." Izuku crossed the index and middle fingers of both hands making some sort of cross "Shadow clone technique!" an explosion of smoke made Tsuyu and Mineta close their eyes, when the smoke cleared both teens looked at what Izuku did and were shocked at the sight. In front of them, five Izukus stood around the one who had his fingers crossed
"Aizawa sensei was right I have a duty as the class representative, and I'm planning to carry on with that duty" Izuku's clones looked as determined as him "Scatter, help everyone who needs it, and don't let anyone get hurt!" his clones nodded and jumped on different directions of the ship
"Midoriya chan what was that kero," Tsuyu asked with a surprised expression on her face... or at least what seemed a surprised expression
"Another of my techniques" Izuku answered curtly "I would have made more clones, but I don't know how much energy I will need so I'm playing it safe" Izuku sighed and grabbed his left wrist "Tsuyu I want to use your tongue to set as many enemies as you can on land, you can be rough, Mineta you'll use your quirk to keep them trapped together once we put all of them out of the water" both teens were confused at Izuku's plan
"Midoriya chan why don't you teleport us away?" Tsuyu asked tilting her head
"Because if I do that, these villains will go and hunt for our classmates, and they must have their hands full already, that's why we need to put the villains here out of the equation"
"And how are we supposed to do that, they won't just let us do that?!" Mineta asked waving his arms wildly
"Don't worry Mineta, we're not going to ask for their permission, but you should probably take a step back" Izuku started to gather chakra on his left hand and whispered "Chidori"
"What are you- wait what is that sound?!" Mineta jumped back frightened when out of nowhere lightning appeared on Izuku's hand "What is that?!"
"He'll use it on the water to electrocute all the villains' kero" Tsuyu whispered "Mineta chan prepare yourself as soon as Midoriya chan attack reach the water I'll take us both to land to start our part of the plan" she turned to Izuku "Are you going to be Okay Midoriya chan?"
"Don't worry about me Tsuyu as soon as I'm sure that all of them are unconscious I'll help you to pull them out of the water" Tsuyu nodded at him "Well let's make this quick we have to return with our friends" Izuku jumped to the board of the ship and took off running on its side before any of the villains could understand what was happening Izukus left-hand sink on the water "CHIDORI!"
Electricity surged through the water electrocuting all the villains surrounding the ship. The villains' screams died down a few moments later it seemed that his plan worked and all of them were knocked out. Izuku just hoped that he hadn't overdone with that attack, he was brought out of his worry when a tongue started to drag the villains out of the water. Taking a Kunai from his back pouch he threw it in front of Mineta who jumped back and raised his arms in the air
"I SURRENDER!" Izuku sighed and decided that he needed to talk to the small boy later
"Just prepare to gather them Mineta, start putting your quirk on their hands and legs!" Izuku didn't wait for an answer and run to the closest villain, he put his hand on his shoulder and two seconds later Izuku teleported him to his Kunai. He heard another scream from Mineta but ignored it "I keep needing two seconds to teleport someone, I need to train more to make it as quick as when I teleport myself" he shook his head and put his mind on the situation at hand, a few moments later with his and Tsuyu's efforts, all the villains were out of the water, Izuku looked around one last time and after making sure all of them were out of the water he teleported to his classmates
"Good job guys, how are we going with the restraints, Mineta?" The poor boy jumped again frightened "You need to be calmer Mineta you're not going to do a good job if you keep getting scared at everything"
"That's not the issue here Midoriya! How are both of you so calm on this situation?" Mineta shouted. Izuku sighed and walked past him, he looked at the small boy's job. Even if Mineta was scared he did a good job restraining the villains. He pulled a scroll from his pouch. "Better safe than sorry," he thought
"Tell me Mineta why do you want to become a hero" Izuku didn't turn he just unrolled his scroll and started wrapping the villains with it
"What?" Mineta asked confused
"Why are you here, what are your motivations for this job Mineta" Izuku finished wrapping the villains, then he pulled a red tag and put it over the wrapping scroll
"I want to be popular and be loved by everyone!" Tsuyu shook his head after seeing the perverted face of Mineta "I want that all the girls to fall for me!" Mineta said proudly
"Seal" Izuku whispered and the scroll tightened "That's the only reason for you to be a hero?" Izuku said turning with a serious face, Mineta just looked at him questioningly "Mineta let's be real for a moment here, your ambitions are stupid if you want to get popular there are many other ways to do it. Mineta, please consider why are you here because being a hero means putting your life on the line daily, situations like this one will appear regularly and if you are scared all the time you will not only put yourself but the people who you're supposed to save in danger"
"And don't misunderstand please I believe that with hard work and dedication you can become an amazing hero, but you need your priorities in order for this job" Izuku turned and started walking "We lost enough time here let's go" Izuku took off running leaving behind a shocked Mineta and a smiling Tsuyu
"He sees something in you that I don't Mineta chan, don't disappoint him" Tsuyu dropped to the ground and started jumping in Izuku's direction
"You should listen to the boy, he seems to have a good head on his shoulders," a trapped villain said out of nowhere scaring Mineta who took off running behind his classmates
"Maybe if we had someone like him when we were young we shouldn't be in this situation," the same villain said sadly
"Shut up" another villain said from the trapped pile
Izuku felt two of his clones disappear, his chakra coming back intact meant that his help was not needed "nice a little more chakra would be useful" He kept running when an explosion took his attention "That came from the main plaza… Aizawa sensei" Izuku thought worried and stopped in his tracks
"Why did you stop Midoriya chan?" Tsuyu asked behind him
"Aizawa sensei is fighting over there"
"He gathered a lot of attention Kero"
"Yeah and that worries me, he may have said that he is all right, but he must be running on fumes by now" Mineta joined them by that point
"Wait Midoriya I know you're strong but, you're not planning to go there right?" Mineta seemed really worried
"If they have something against All Might, don't you think it will work on Aizawa sensei too?" that scared Tsuyu and Mineta "If you keep walking that way you'll surround the fighting area and end on the front door, try to get out as soon as possible" Izuku pointed them the direction and started walking to the main plaza
"Midoriya chan I'll go with you" Izuku stopped and turned to Tsuyu before he could say something Mineta talked too
"Aaagh I'll go too then I won't let Midoriya be the only heroic here!"
"You really don't have to guys, this will be dangerous" Tsuyu smiled at him and put a hand on his shoulder
"You just said that this is our job, putting our lives on the line" Izuku shook his head smiling
"Me and my big mouth," he said sighing "let's just try to help as much as we can and try to not interfere directly, Tsuyu use your tongue to pull their legs, Mineta stay as far as you can, and throw your quirk to trap as many villains you can" It was a simple plan but he just wanted to take as much weight as he could from his teacher, they took off running at the plaza when a question formed in his head
"Wait why didn't you ask me about what I would do?" Tsuyu and Mineta looked at each other then looked at Izuku
"Midoriya we saw you duplicate and pull lightning out of nowhere we don't need to ask to know that you'll do something crazy" Mineta said exasperated
"Kero!" Tsuyu croaked happily. Izuku chuckled but said nothing. He knew they would ask more about his abilities later, but he'll cross that bridge later right now he had a teacher to help
When they arrived at the plaza, they couldn't hide the amazement at what they saw, dozens of villains were knocked out around, and they saw another villain join them when Aizawa landed on his face "He seems really tired" Izuku turned to Mineta who was a few meters away hidden on a bush and nodded his head at him. As stealthy as Mineta could he started throwing his quirk balls at the fallen villains restricting them on the floor
A quick movement to his right returned his attention to his teacher when one of the villains run at high speed to attack his teacher. "That villain seems to be the boss, his killer intent is suffocating"
Izuku saw his teacher avoid the right hand of the villain and deliver a powerful elbow strike to his stomach, only to be stopped by the villains left hand, he heard the villain mutter to his teacher
"When you move really fast is not easy to notice, but when you stop using your quirk, your hair goes down" Izuku saw Aizawa's face turn into a one of pain "And after a while, the time you have to use your quirk decreases quickly!"
Izuku's blood ran cold when he saw what was happening, Aizawa's elbow was turning into dust, suddenly all clicked in his head. He was the person that destroyed the front gates. That was the villain with the decaying quirk.
He needed to take his classmates out of there quickly, the situation was more dangerous than he thought, Izuku used his head to signal Mineta to fall back, the small teen seemed to understand quickly and retreated on the bush, he turned to Tsuyu but the poor girl was petrified in spot
A loud sound reverberated on the battlefield and when Izuku turned to see the source of that, he saw the massive bird-headed creature slam his teacher face to the ground, then the sickening sound of bone being broken made Izuku see red
In an instant Izuku took three kunai from his pouch, in a quick action he put his Hiraishin seal on one of Tsuyu's gloves, then he threw the kunai to the battlefield, one landing next to Aizawa's head and the other two wedged deep into the villain's shoulder, two red tags flailing on the base of the kunai
A second later the tags exploded making the villain roar and lose his grip on Aizawa's arm, Izuku teleported to the kunai next to Aizawa and made some hand seals "Wind style: Vacuum wave" He released a powerful blade of wind that severed the villain's arm who screeched in pain.
Izuku put a hand on Aizawa never taking his eyes from the bird villain, two seconds later Aizawa was in front of Tsuyu who instantly snapped out of her trance and pulled their teacher closer. Izuku wasn't finished he made more seals "Wind style: Dust cloud" after blocking the villains' sight Izuku teleported to Aizawa
"I told you to stay put Midoriya," Aizawa said groaning in pain
"I couldn't let them kill you, sensei, you still have a lot to teach me," Izuku said sighing in relief, he made it in time, but he needed to take Tsuyu and Aizawa out of there, a sound like a vacuum make him turn at the center of the plaza, the mist villain was absorbing the dust, but he couldn't see him anywhere "His quirk must have a really long-range," Izuku thought
"Wow hero, how did you know that Nomu had a regeneration quirk on his arsenal?" the villain hand villain said, Izuku turned to the Nomu and he saw its arm starting to regenerate
"Wait that villain has super strength, speed, and regeneration?! That is not normal…If I teleport us out of here that monster surely would follow us and I'll just put more people in danger... I'll have to use THAT if I want to save everyone from them" Izuku crouched and turned to his teacher
"I know you're really hurt but please stall him as much as you can!" Izuku whisper shouted and closed his eyes, Aizawa looked at him confused but complied, after all, if one of his students could do something against that monster, that student was Izuku.
"What do you mean he has a regeneration quirk? I thought his quirk was super strength or some type of physical enhancement" Aizawa said as loud as he could
"Ah I shouldn't tell you but seeing that you are about to die it doesn't matter anymore, Nomu was designed specifically to kill All Might, he has enough quirks on its body for that mission" Aizawa almost faint thinking about that, but he couldn't falter right now he needed to give Midoriya time
"Designed? You mean he is not human?"
"Ah, he once was. Right now is just a pet that obeys my orders without questions" The hand villain said scratching his neck
"Why, why all this trouble to kill All Might, if that creature is as strong as you said why you don't go and find him on the streets?" before the hand villain could respond the black mist villain appeared next to him
"Shigaraki Tomura"
"Kurogiri did you kill thirteen?"
"I put him out of commission but one student made it pass me" Shigaraki started to scratch his neck wildly
"Kurogiri if you weren't my ticket out of here I would kill you!" Aizawa saw Shigaraki stop scratching his neck "We won't be able to win against dozens of pros, it's game over this time" he turned to Aizawa "You were making time don't you, you knew one of your students escaped and made me lose time"
"I didn't know that but I hoped that they called reinforcements " Aizawa smirked
"Ah, so you made me monologue... it doesn't matter we lost this level, but before we leave, let's kill some of the students that are the pride of the symbol of peace… Nomu" the creature practically materialized in front of them, Aizawa couldn't do anything but look at the powerful punch aimed directly at his students. He closed his eyes and braced himself for the impact begging for a miracle when a powerful gust of wind pushed them back and made him open his eyes
In front of him stood Izuku in a defensive position and on top of the monster were... more Izukus. Five Izukus were stopping the blow of the beast, two holding its right arm, two its left one, and the last one was pulling its neck, Aizawa's eyes widened at the surreal scene. suddenly the Izuku in front of him shouted
"Sage art: Rasengan!" The attack slammed against the creature's stomach dealing a devastating strike, Aizawa and Tsuyu were pushed back a little from the force of the attack. Izuku roared and pushed the attack further sending the Nomu flying back
"Thank you for buying me time sensei you can rest now… Tsuyu take care of Aizawa sensei, if you see an opportunity to escape without being detected use it, I'll take care of them for as long as I can" Izuku said calmly before turning around and smile at them. Both teacher and sensei eye's widened in surprise
Tsuyu could say that she enjoys getting to know special people, that was one of her goals when entering U.A. and she could happily say that she has already done it getting to meet Midoriya Izuku, a boy with a weird quirk that seemed extremely versatile for a name as vague as energy manipulation. If she had to describe him in the short time of knowing him she would say that he was inspiring, hopeful, determined, and passionate.
She also liked to look at the faces of the people that interested her, after all, her face couldn't show a lot of expressions. And in the short time she has known him, she has seen a lot of faces on Midoriya Izuku. The boy carried his emotions on his sleeves, from the flustered face he puts when his friends tease him with Uraraka, to the serious face he used when he talked to Mineta or while developing a plan, even the scary angry face he made when Aizawa's sensei got hurt
But the moment Izuku turned to calm them and tell them that he'll take care of everything, she felt her breath halt for a second, that face put her more at peace than ever before, even in the dangerous situation they were in, his warm expression told her that he would protect them with everything in him.
And she couldn't help but believe it, after all, those beautiful yellow toad-like eyes didn't hold any trace of fear or doubt, no, his eyes only reflected strength, resolution, and warmth. She couldn't stop the hope that that look put on her heart
I had some free days and managed to fix this chapter to a point where I'm happy with it. I'm back to work tomorrow so the next chapter will take more time
