Skies Above Northred

After he was forced out of Deepholm, Deathwing was slightly disoriented as something larger than him threw him around the sky. The former aspect was thrown around, but never fell to the ground, by the massive frost wyrm before he finally managed to recover himself. When he did, he harshly slammed his tail at the frost wyrm, sending it reeling to the ground. 'Why does that thing seem so familiar?' he asked himself when he took note of the size of the frost wyrm before he decided to yell in complete fury. "You wretched worms actually dare to attack me?!" he yelled before he began unleashing his flames everywhere, completely melting all of the ice and snow on the ground below. When he tried to incinerate the undead army below, a breath of frost intercepted his own. Deathwing looked around for the source and found it very amusing when he did. "So, out of all the dragons, I thought you would be the last one to appear considering how weak you have become." he mocked Malygos, who was approaching him

"Enough, Neltharion. Your madness will end today." Malygos declared back right. 'The spell that forced him out of Deepholm should have significantly weakened him. The only problem is how long it would last. Apparently he hasn't noticed it.' the blue dragon aspect took note

"Hahaha. I would like to see you try." Deathwing retorted before they heard a very loud roar. The fallen aspect was quickly re engaged by Galakrond. The frost wyrm tried to tackle the fallen aspect into the ground but Deathwing manage to spin them around and forced it off him. He then yelled in pain when something clawed him from behind. He didn't need to turn around to know that it was Malygos. Fortunately for Deathwing, his scales was armored so Malygos was not able to claw that deep into him

Malygos barely managed to throw the fallen aspect away. However, that didn't do much as Deathwing quickly regained his footing and fired a breath of flames, hitting Malygos and forced him back. Galakrond quickly used the opportunity to slam his bony tail at the fallen aspect. Deathwing immediately caught on to what the frost wyrm was up to and used his claws to grab the tail before throwing the undead dragon away. Not sparing a moment, Deathwing shot another breath of flames and forced Galakrond to crash to the ground. After thinking about the size of this undead dragon, Deathwing finally realized who it belongs to. "Galakrond." he muttered in distaste, the memories of the ancient dragon being one of the things he carried over from when he was still Neltharon

Before the fallen aspect could continue going on the offensive, he was hit by a powerful beam of energy from behind. Deathwing yelled with such fury that it intensified the slight tremors. He turned around to see who attacked him but he felt something climb onto his back. "Get off me, insect." he growled while trying to shake him off

Illidan was not fazed by the eratic movement and simply cleaved a wound on a small part of the dragon's back. Deathwing yelled once more but before the demon hunter could do anything further, the part where he stabbed suddenly exploded and fiery tendrils came out of it. 'What?' he asked himself in surprise as the tendrils wrapped around him. Deathwing still had his back turned against the demon hunter. The fiery tendrils that had Illidan began intensifying in heat in an attempt to burn him. However, given his demonic powers, the heat was nothing to him and instead, he merely gathered energies in his tattoos and erupted it outwards, destroying the tendrils. Deathwing finally turned around to face who blindsided him but he was not able to attack as another fiery breath hit him. 'What in the hell?' the demon hunter thought in surprise, knowing that neither Galakrond nor Malygos have fiery breaths and looked where it came from. To his surprise, the other three aspects came towards them

Before Deathwing could mount a counter attack, Galakrond grabbed him and threw him downwards. In the meantime, the dragon aspects rendezvoused with Illidan

"Illidan, you have much to answer for." Alexstrasza warned

"Don't patronize me, Dragonqueen. We both know that you would rather wait for Deathwing to attack rather than hunt him down." Illidan shot back. The five of them observed Galakrond attempting to shoot a point blank breath of frost. The fallen aspect saw this and quickly slapped the frost wyrm's head, redirecting the breath towards the other aspects. Illidan saw this and created a shield of fel energy

"Behind us." Nozdormu said and in response, Illidan completely had the shield surround them before unleashing all the energy out against the insect creatures coming after them and killed them all

"If it's alright with you, Stormrage, leave Deathwing to us. We have a duty to stop our fallen brother." Ysera offered

Illidan was silent at this for a moment. "Alright, Ysera. Destroy him." he said as he really didn't care who did it for as long as Deathwing will not live to see tomorrow

"Thank you." Ysera said and led the charge against their enemy

"In the meantime, I'll keep these things off you." Illidan said and unleashed a lightning blast against the insects. After quite a while of killing these Old God spawns, Kor'vas suddenly called saying they needed his help

"Enough of this, Neltharion." Alexstrasza yelled as she glared him down. "You've wasted the gifts of the titans. End this madness, now."

Deathwing merely laughed at this. "Then witness my new gifts, given to me by this world's true masters." he retorted

Breaths of fire, ice, lightning and acid was thrown in all directions. Being completely outnumbered, Deathwing was slowly losing against the other aspects. What he did not realize is that the scourge was using the Eye of Sargeras to stop the Old Gods from feeding him more power while the spell from earlier greatly cut his own current power. While Illidan had no evidence if the Old Gods were capable of that if Deathwing was in the middle of a fight, he did not want to take the chance

The fallen aspect clashed fiery breaths with the dragonqueen. When Malygos shot his own breath from above, Deathwing quickly disengaged and flew away. Ysera and Galakrond, who was out of his sight, ambushed him and knocked him off his intended course. Deathwing was sent falling into the ground. Before he struck the earth, he recovered and returned to gain altitude, barely managing to dodge the lightning breath Nozdormu shot at him

Deathwing quickly tackled Alexstrasza. By keeping one of them close to him at all times, they will be forced to engage him at a close distance lest their breaths injure on of their own. The dragonqueen wailed in pain as Deathwing clawed in her side. Ysera moved to assist her sister but Deathwing used Alexstrasza as a shield while one of his claws still dug into her. However, this was a mistake as Malygos and Galakrond shot their icy breaths at his back. Deathwing yelled in pain and was forced to let go of Alexstrasza. The pain was further exacerbated when Nozdormu shot his own lightnig breath. The fallen aspect's efforts to injure the dragonqueen was all for naught as Ysera took the chance to heal Alexstrasza

The fallen aspect continued to howl in pain as his body became slowly frozen. When he moved to break free, Ysera shot her acid breath at him to prevent him from moving. Eventually, Deathwing's body was frozen solid completely. Unable to move, Deathwing fell straight down

Alexstrasza's eyes widened in horror when she realized where Deathwing was falling. "Oh no!" she muttered but was too late to stop anything as Deathwing's body was stabbed on one of the spires of Wyrmrest Temple. The ice shattered upon and sent most of the armor on the fallen aspect's body flying off. The weight of the former aspect caused the entire temple to shake with some parts of it instantly breaking off. To the dragonqueen's surprise, there was nobody that came out because of the commotion. 'That's good. At least no one is there.'

"Is it over?" Ysera asked hesitantly but to her, and the other's surprise, Wyrmrest Temple itself began melting, killing every unfortunate creature that still remained within it, if there were any

Deathwing's body then turned into something that looked like magma with tendrils in various areas. The magma body spread over a decently sized area with the only thing that remained that would identify the creature was Deathwing's head and a small part of his wings

"What... is... that?" Nozdormu asked in disbelief

"Now you lowly creatures have really done it." Deathwing growled out. "Feel the full might of this world's true masters!" he yelled as the tendrils grew out in an attempt to grab each of his enemies

"There's nothing left of Neltharion. Only the monster known as Deathwing remains." Nozdormu lamented as Malygos shielded them with his arcane powers. To their surprise, the tendrils began burning right through the shield

"Move!" Alexstrasza yelled and they all separated. Only Galakrond went right straight for Deathwing. More than twenty fiery tendrils soon came out from Deathwing's magma body and all of them wrapped around the undead dragon. Galakrond tried to freeze them solid but the tendrils were far too hot

"Galakrond." Malygos muttered and fired a few bolts of arcane magic which broke all of the tendrils. Alexstrasza had half a mind to heal their uneasy frost wyrm ally but was not certain if her powers could even heal the dead since she did after all, guard life. Galakrond was forced to back out of the battle for the time being as the tendrils broke off some of the bones and part of his tail, leaving only the aspects to engage their fallen brother on their own

"How in the hell do we even begin to fight this thing?" Nozdormu wondered in frustration

"You don't." Deathwing replied and created huge explosions of fire straight up, hitting all of the dragon aspects. "Submit!" he yelled as he forced the smoke to clear, revealing the others to have been clearly affected. Growing some more tendrils that were much thicker than the ones from earlier, Deathwing unleashed magma from them in the same color as blood

"Look out!" Ysera said as they all scattered. Unfortunately, she was hit by the blood magma by her tail, causing it to literally melt. Instead of simply that small part of her tail disappearing, it was contagious. The blood was slowly travelling up the rest of her tail, melting it painfully and causing Ysera to yell while flailing about helplessly. To her relief, Alexstrasza flew to her and sliced her tail off, much to the green aspect's relief

'Malygos, listen. Deathwing's power is growing stronger and stronger. It is slowly beginning to affect the earth. The side effects of the spell cutting his power has worn off. If this keeps up, there is a chance that he will break Yogg Saron's prison.' Kel'thuzad said

'So what do we do?' Malygos responded while dodging some of the tendrils that detached from Deathwing's body and took on the shape of parasitic creatures

'We have moved the Eye of Sargeras into Naxxramas and it is now going into the sky. Once we are high enough, we can use the power of the Eye to severely damage Deathwing. You must use that opportunity to finish him off.' Kel'thuzad responded

Malygos looked to the distance and could barely make out something gaining altitude. 'I understand.' he said right before some tendrils wrapped around him and began spitting out creatures that looked like fire elementals. The grip was painful and was too strong for Malygos to break with the pain only being accentuated by the elemental like creatures. Fortunately for him, Nozdormu came to his aid and shot his lightning breath at where the tendrils came out of the magma and broke them. Nozdormu then continued firing more of his lightning breaths at Deathwing's head but all of them were blocked when the magma would transform to intercept them

"Keep trying, Timeless One. It will not work!" Deathwing declared and shot multiple streams of fire from different areas of his body, including from his own mouth. While many missed, some did hit their targets. He was especially targetting Malygos, wanting to finish what he started ten thousand years ago, wiping out the Blue Dragonflight. Despite being outnumbered, Deathwing was winning the battle with his corruption now fully unleashed upon the world

While Deathwing was occupied with trying to use the flames to finish the other aspects off, Galakrond took this chance to sneak up upon the fallen aspect. Gathering his energy, the giant frost wyrm unleashed the most powerful frost breath it has ever used, hitting Deathwing right in the head. "What the-" Deathwing growled and was forced to end his barrage of flames, much to the relief of the other dragon aspects

Ysera, despite her missing tail, moved over to heal Malygos, who fell to the ground when the barrage stopped, as his injuries were the most severe among all of them. Given their situation, it will be impossible for her to fully heal him but as long as he could continue to fight, it would be good enough. In the meantime, Alexstrasza shot her fiery breath right onto his head before attempting to slam her tail on Deathwing's head. While she felt that she made contact, Deathwing quickly countered by wrapping even more tendrils around her and began dragging her towards him as his body mutated to form a giant mouth while his head disappeared and relocated to a different area of his body. It was only then that Deathwing revealed that he can move his head anywhere in his magma body. Nozdormu moved to help her but Deathwing merely created more tendrils and pierced the Timeless One's body with them, causing him to drop to the ground from the injuries. Part of the Timeless One's left wing was ripped off by the tendrils while his other wing was badly burned all the while his body had multiple holes due to the tendrils

After making peace with her failure in protecting Neltharion from corruption and her refusal to hunt him down, Alexstrasza closed her eyes as she was being pulled closer and closer to the mutated mouth. Before she could be devoured though, something suddenly gripped her painfully by her wings and recklessly yanked her up, breaking the tendril's grip with brute force. The dragonqueen opened her eyes and saw that the one responsible was Galakrond, who then shot a frost breath at Deathwing's end to disorient him and give the frost wyrm enough time to get the dragonqueen out of there

"What now, dragon aspects?" Deathwing mocked before laughing. "Pathetic. What about your so called- ARGH!" he continued to mock before suddenly yelling in pain

All five of the dragons looked to where it came from and saw a beam of fel energy coming all the way from the sky above Coldarra. "Now, finish him!" Malygos yelled as he began summoning as much arcane energy as he could

Alexstrasza added her own power to Malygos in an attempt to end him. Combined with the power of the Eye of Sargeras, they hoped it would be enough to finally kill Deathwing or they would end being killed themselves while Ysera got Nozdormu's body out of there

Deathwing, despite the pain, realized what his enemies were up to and began spreading his magmatic body in various directions. Galakrond saw this and dropped right on top of the fallen aspect and used his own body and ice powers to keep him in place. "Damn you, Galakrond! I will-" he yelled but was cut off as Alexstrasza and Malygos finally fired a powerful burst of energy with all the power they had remaining. Slowly but surely, Deathwing's corrupted body began to crack and shatter. "You insolent maggots. You may kill me but you will suffer endless torment at my masters' hand!" he declared before using whatever remnants of his powers during his time as Neltharion to create a massive earthquake right before he was finally destroyed

Malygos' eyes widened in complete horror. Despite being victorious, he knew exactly what Deathwing's dying move did

Southern Borean Tundra

Illidan was stunned straight to his core. When he was still young, at least by night elf standards, he had been trained to be ready for anything, to fight dirty if he has to, to exploit any advantage he could find. Most important of all, his mentor had taught him that no matter what happens, to remain calm. The moment he let his emotions rule him, he has already lost. In all his life, he kept that lesson to heart and in recent wars, he had kept his calm and always maintained a cold expression

In spite of all this, even Illidan could not stop his own emotions from boiling up at seeing one of the faces he never thought he would again, "Azshara." he muttered in complete and utter surprise

Despite having expected, and even hoped, that this would happen, Azshara herself did not take it too easily. "Illidan." she muttered right back in a soothing tone. Being her mentor, Azshara knew that her former protege won't judge her for her actions, most of them anyway. However, she knew that her acting suspiciously, appearing when Deathwing was forced out and hiding themselves, she expected Illidan to immediately figure out how she survived

And Illidan did not disappoint. Steeling himself, the demon hunter summoned his twin blades and instantly rushed towards his former mentor without even saying anything further. Azshara was slightly taken aback by his actions but she nonetheless managed to block with her trident, albeit barely. In truth, Illidan wanted this moment to come. Aside from promising his only highborne friend, Vashj, that they would see each other again, his other reason for continuing to fight was so that he could test himself against Azshara but now, Illidan was completely disappointed and furious that Azshara would align herself with the very creatures she wanted the burning legion to destroy

Azshara did not need any words spoken as to why instead of excitement, the only thing she could make out from Illidan was nothing but fury. She pushed her former student away and tried to cleave him with her trident but to her surprise, even his physical strength is much greater than it was when they last met. Illidan blocked it with one of his blades and quickly forced her trident back. Before Illidan could attack once more, Azhsara tried to hit him with the end opposite the fork of her weapon. The demon hunter merely jumped to dodge before moving to slice her up. The queen noticed this and quickly shot an arcane bolt at him. Illidan shrugged this off but was forced back nonetheless

Knowing this will not be easy, Illidan's tattoos glowed green and five illusions, each of them looking no different from the original, appeared around Azshara. The queen somewhat smirked at this as this was one of the tricks she had taught him before. She unleashed a huge omnidirectional wave in order to attack all of them at once but to her surprise, all of them shielded themselves from her attack before one of them suddenly grabbed onto her back and run her through. Growling, Azshara used one of her tentacles to grab him but was surprised when it dispelled, all of the illusions dispelled

She wasn't able to react to the illusions disappearing as she was forced to instinctively moved back as Illidan tried to slice her from her shoulder to her waist. Azshara was able to reduce the damage as his blade did not sink that deep into her but it still managed to cut her. Illidan was not at all surprised that Azshara saw through his trick, she was after all, the one who trained him. Before Azshara could recover, Illidan kicked her away and shot a stream of fire at her. Azshara forced this to dispel and as she expected, Illidan was already bringing his sword down on her. The queen blocked this with her trident. The demon hunter used his other hand to try and stab her again but Azshara caught his wrist and they ended up in a lock. At this point, neither of them wanted to use any complicated spells knowing that the other would just use that opening to get a hit in

"Impressive. It seems I taught you well." Azshara complimented but was met with no response. Since Illidan no longer had his eyes, Azshara couldn't tell what her former student was thinking but she was sure that he was glaring at her. "I taught you most of everything you know, but not what I do." she declared before turning her body ethereal, immune to physical harm, as he charged at her again. Illidan suddenly phased through her and before he could recover his footing, Azshara used her tentacles to grab him by the neck and throw him away, dispelling the ethereal spell in the process. To her surprise, what Illidan did was a complete 180 to what he did when she first did that, which was when she offered to train him

Rather then being slammed to the ground, Illidan used his wings to balance himself and land rather gracefully before slicing off the tentacle. Azshara hissed in pain. Now she was pissed and she created chains that bound Illidan to the ground by his wrists. Knowing that he would escape quickly, Azshara shot a blast of high pressure water right at her former student. Illidan wasn't fazed by this and merely unleashed his demon form, breaking the chains. He then quickly rolled to the side to dodge but part of his wings was still hit. However, he wasn't able to do anything further when Azshara suddenly teleported in front of him and pinned him to the ground. Illidan tried to break free but Azshara stabbed him in the leg. "Enough. Don't forget who's the one that trained you, Illidan."

"You may have trained me..." Illidan said as he was not at all fazed when the queen raised her trident again. "But I have learned new tricks since then." he finished and the flames in his eye sockets began to glow brighter

Azshara's eyes widened at this. She knew about Illidan's eye beams and the destructive power it possesses but she never even considered that he would use it against an enemy at point blank range. Caught off guard, the queen was thrown into the sky when the demon hunter finally shot the eye beam, suffering some severe burns before she slammed into the ground. Illidan got up but his leg was hurting where Azshara stabbed him and as a result, he got on his knees. Azshara was not in a much better position as one of her tentacles was still sliced off and she was burned from his attack

Both former night elves slowly got to their feet, reeling from the injuries they just got. Azshara was the first to attack and teleported behind Illidan but the demon hunter quickly caught on and turned around, clashing swords once more. Despite the pain, Illidan used his leg to push her away but Azshara wrapped another tentacle around him, this time around both of his legs and pulled him towards through. She attempted to run him through but to her complete surprise, Illidan caught it with his bare hand and stopped it from stabbing him. As a result, of this, the demon hunter's hand was badly bleeding fel blood but he was able to force the trident away. To get free, Illidan threw one of his blades right at the queen's tentacle

Not wanting to have another tentacle sliced off, Azshara was forced to let him go and moved back. Their battle was interrupted when a powerful tremor happened and knocked both of them back down to the ground. Seizing the distraction, Azshara finally put her plan into motion and pinned Illidan to the ground once more before stabbing him with her trident right at the torso, causing him to grunt in pain. "I'm sorry about this, Illidan. I hope you'll forgive me for this one day but I need your help more than you can imagine." she muttered in a tone that was filled with nothing but regret before she began channeiling a very complex spell

Upon the earthquake resulting from Deathwing's dying move, the snake creatures were taken by surprise, allowing the small army Maiev brought to take advantage of the surprise and defeat their enemies

"Finally." Maiev said and got to her knees

"Illidan." Kor'vas muttered, She got a bit injured during the battle and was slightly bleeding. 'Damn it. Kayn, can you find Illidan?'

'What? Where is he?' Kayn responded, being all the way near Coldarra. Along with Velen, they were defending the Blue Dragonflight's home from the insectoid creatures

'I'm not sure. Someone attacked us and Illidan took on their leader. Have been busy trying to protect the altar.' Kor'vas responded with a small groan

'Alright, I'll go find him.' Kayn said as he flew down to the south

'Listen, everyone.' Malygos' voice suddenly thundered to all the undead. 'We need to meet in Coldarra, now.' he finished. "Alexstrasza, Ysera, come. We need to regroup, now."

Alexstrasza and Ysera looked at each other before following him, carrying the still injured Nozdormu with them. That was the most serious they have heard the spellweaver speak ever since his flight was nearly wiped out ten thousand years ago

The dragon aspects, Maiev, Kor'vas, Uther, Arthas, Sylvanas and Anya all regrouped with Kel'thuzad and Velen back in Coldarra, Naxxramas now back beside it and the eye moved inside the blue dragonflight's home while the rest of the undead army still fought the onslaught of the endless number of faceless ones

"Wait, where's Illidan?" Malygos demanded to know. Everyone looked around for the lich king but found him absent

"He's in Naxxramas." a new voice said from the door. It belonged to Kayn as he walked with Drak'thul

"Illidan is injured and unconscious." the orc warlock explained

That was something not a single one of them expected to hear. They knew that none of them were immune to injuries, Illidan included, however, he was way more powerful than any of them. If someone managed to injure him, then whoever that individual is, that would have been someone near his level. Deathwing was the only one that came to their mind and he was not the one responsible

"Regardless of that..." Kor'vas said, breaking everyone out of their thoughts. "What is it you wanted to meet, Malygos?"

"It's Deathwing. Right before he died, he used the last remnants of his powers during his time as Neltharion to..." Malygos trailed off and everyone braced themselves. "Shatter Yogg Saron's prison."

"What?!" everyone except the alliance members said in unison

"Who is this 'Yogg Saron'?" Arthas wondered. He, Velen and Sylvanas had a really bad feeling about this

"Long story short, Lord Illidan suspected that creatures known as 'Old Gods' were the one responsible for Neltharion's corruption. Yogg Saron being one of them." Anya explained and the three gasped in surprised

"In only a matter of hours, Yogg Saron's prison will be completely shattered and it will be free." Malygos said

"This is bad. With the master unconscious and all of us injured, we cannot hope to fight that thing." Kayn muttered

Kor'vas merely frowned at this, unlike everyone who started to panic. "Malygos, is there we way to deal with this?"

"There is but I don't think you'll like it." Malygos said but Kor'vas merely had a look that basically said continue. "If we combine the power of The Eye, The Nexus and the the runestones made from the Corrupted Sunwell we scattered all over Northrend, it might be enough to destroy Yogg Saron."

"Might?" Kayn said in disbelief

"No, it will be enough." Agatha interjected. "Yogg Saron's power is completely depleted after being imprisoned for a long time, even longer than us, the Val'kyr. It will take him at minimum, a week for him to regain even a small portion of his powers. Malygos' suggestion however, would end up shattering all of Northrend along with the Old God."

"What? Malygos, you can't be serious about this?!" Alexstrasza said

"Enough." Kel'thuzad said and prevented an unnecessary argument between the two dragon aspects. "This is our operation, Alexstrasza and we shall finish it how we see fit." he declared firmly before looking at Kor'vas, everyone else following soon after

"What?" Kor'vas asked with a frown

"It's your choice, Kor'vas." Kel'thuzad responded

"Why me? You're higher up the chain of command." Kor'vas pointed out, confused

"Be that as it may, you have more experience in making decisions such as this as you are always in the thick of battle. Besides, you have been affiliated with Lord Illidan longer than I have so you would have a clearer picture of what decision he would make." Kel'thuzad answered as a matter of factly

Kor'vas looked around and saw that no one had any objections. In hindsight, she shouldn't have been surprised as only Illysanna had been allied with Illidan longer than her. Drak'thul technically counted but Illidan took a few weeks before he trusted the warlock. "In that case, destroy Northrend and Yogg Saron." she said in a voice without hesitation

"Wait, can't we-" Ysera said but was cut off

"Enough. The longer we wait, the more powerful Yogg Saron grows. The sooner we get rid of him, the better. I don't want to risk it getting powerful enough to the point where Malygos' idea would no longer work. We're pushed into a corner here, time is not on our side, and none of our options are ideal so shut up unless you have a better idea." Kor'vas said in the most serious tone she had ever used before talking directly to the minds of the other scourge members present. 'We'll have to take that chance that we end up creating another Well of Eternity here.' she said while Malygos quickly went to work and made the adjustments necessary for the eye to be linked directly to the nexus while Kel'thuzad created another energy field, one that would protect Coldarra

"What about the rest of your forces still fighting?" Arthas pointed out

"The ones that remained on the ground are only the demons and orcs we raised into undeath from Outland." Kor'vas said before looking at Maiev, who nodded in confirmation. "Everyone else is clear of the area. The ones who are still fighting are expendable."

"Are you serious?!" objected Sylvanas. "Those are your own warriors! How can you-?"

"Because the Legion is the one that created the Scourge. Like us, they are more than willing to experiment with their own forces and it is in the realm of possibilities that the ones we raised in Outland have been manipulated somehow. Illidan does not want to take the risk that the undead demons and orcs are somehow being controlled by the Legion. That is why we want to get rid of them but before we do, we might as well make use of them." Kor'vas said, silencing them. Now, they just waited for Malygos to finish

"Demon Hunter." Agatha called out. "Be warned, the Spellweaver's suggestion would require oneself to sacrifice their life otherwise it won't work so you'll have to choose one of us to do it."

"There's no need." Kor'vas responded without hesitation. "I'll do it."

"No, you will not." Nozdormu said and stepped forward. "I will."

"Nozdormu? Why?" Alexstrasza asked. Nozdormu was not one to joke around and whenever he wanted to do something, he was serious about and had perfectly good reason

"As you know, the Bronze Dragonflight guards time and I have seen the future. In fear of our own mortality, some of us Bronze Dragons, myself included, made a pact with the Old Gods to transcend death. I do not know when it will happen but I do know that it is unavoidable." Nozdormu explained as he moved to where Malygos was. Based on his tone, nobody dared to argue with him

"You will be remembered for the rest of time, brother." Alexstrasza said. By now, she had hoped that the rest of her flight had already fled Northrend

"Alexstrasza, please, no matter what happens, make sure that no one takes my place as the Dragon Aspect or I fear that future will come to pass. To the Old Gods, anyone who is under their influence is expandable even Deathwing." Nozdormu said before he did the instructions Malygos was saying to conduct the spell

Moments later, multiple magical purple lines, some in the shape of runes, began appearing all over Northrend. Purple arcane lights soon engulfed the whole continent as it began to shake, getting more violent over the second

"Get ready." Malygos warned

The very same lines soon appeared on Nozdormu as the spell reached its peak. The Timeless One's body slow disintegrated and he yelled in pain until he was fully gone. When he was, another shockwave, one that was far more powerful than the one when Deathwing was forced out. Finally, Northrend was completely shattered. Only Coldarra remained intact while the entire continent was reduced into rocks floating in the unstable currents from the resulting destruction

Finally, the Deathwing fight. I have to admit, I did downplay Deathwing from a world ending boss to someone who is just a plot device but I tried to give him a worthy battle. I mean, he was able to nearly defeat five other dragons all by himself after all. Also, if it wasn't clear yet, this Deathwing is not as powerful as the Cataclysm one otherwise this would have been a different story by now

I can already imagine the reaction upon reading the second part. 'OMG why you have Illidan and Azshara fight just like that with no impact'. Well, the story is still far from done and from the way it ended, so is Azshara's. I have to admit, my original plans was to end the Azshara and Illidan part in this chapter but as I was writing this, I wasn't going to be satisfied so I'll leave that for later. Yes, I just spoiled it, there will be another chapter between Azshara and Illidan but then again, you probably figured that out from Azshara's last words and actions

I am not a hundred percent certain about the story around Murozond but in this story, I just straight up deleted him by killing off Nozdormu. I don't really like time travel in all honesty. It just ends up with too many paradoxes that I end up with more questions than answers. While I have never played WoW and only kept track of the story, I never really enjoyed WoD's story because it involved time travel. So, in this fanfic, I just decided that the time travel rules would be the grandfather paradox. If you don't know what that is, go look it up. It's a simple google search and google will be able to explain it a lot better than I can

Yes, just add Northrend to the stuff that's going to be destroyed. Hey, I did warn you that there will be a lot of destruction in this fanfic. Outland was the first, this is the second. I will say this though, I am not sure if it is possible to destroy Northrend but with the Eye, Illidan was able to slowly damage Icecrown. So, with a little help from the objects mentioned earlier, I think it should be enough. And in chapter twenty two, it was mentioned that the Scourge had discreetly hid something in different areas in Northrend. It was never revealed so to clarify things, it is the runestones made from the Sunwell

I don't think anyone should be that upset about what I did to Yogg Saron. It was mentioned a couple times that the Old Gods' powers have waned over the millenia. Besides, for now, I have different plans for the Old Gods instead of simply being defeated by a thirty man group

Finally, for Velen, I decided to give him a supporting role. I mean, I can't really find anything that significant he did up until WoW Legion so I'm going to keep it that way. I don't know if I'll give him a bigger role but for the next few battles, he is on a supporting role. Some others, I will not mention them now, will also be on a supporting role as well. The only ones I will tell you that are among these are Kel'thuzad and Drak'thul
