Elunaria
On the other side of the odd portal in Antorus was the realm of Eonar. It was under attack by the Legion's forces. The demon hunters who passed through the portal immediately slaughtered the demons who were lagging behind
"Clear." Vandel signalled and the rest of the group passed through
They all looked around in awe as the looked at a world that was teeming with life. It was a beautiful sight that surpassed any of the kingdoms of Azeroth. There was one notable similarity, both were under attack by the Burning Legion
"What do you think, demon hunters? Is this the real deal?" Vereesa asked with uncertainty
"It is, surprisingly. I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see this for myself." Jace replied before glancing around. "Now, the only problem is finding the titan in this place."
"Somehow, I don't think that'll be a problem." Arthas commented when they saw another group of demons
"At least I'll have some demons to interrogate." Allari muttered as she readied her scythe. "Take them alive."
Since they have entered, Malfurion could feel his powers of nature returning. With this world teeming with life, he was able to use them once more. "We might be running out of time." the druid said. "While you are engaging the demons, I'll try to see if I can find Eonar."
"I'll help you with that." Thrall offered and tried to extend his vision throughout the area
"There's still one problem with this." Vandel said as he shot an eye beam at the incoming demons. "Why isn't this Eonar fighting back?"
"We'll have to ask the titan that after we deal with these demons." Tyrande said, not sure if Eonar was male or female, and shot a demon right in the leg
The group engaged the demons in a melee fight when they got close but they were careful not to kill them as per Allari's request
"I have enough to interrogate right now. Kill the rest." Allari spoke when they had around ten demons injured
"Stand back." Tyrande instructed and tried to call down a starstorm. To her surprise, it worked which meant Elune's powers reached even here. The remaining demons died soon after that while the demon hunters protected their prisoners. The priestess then turned to her lover. "Malfurion, please tell me you have located Eonar?"
"We did. She's that way." Malfurion pointed to the distance and a lower level from the catwalks they were on. He then used his powers to create very large vines, large enough to carry them and their prisoners. "Everyone, hop on." as the group got on the vines, the demon hunters only loaded the demons and chose to take flight and follow them
Several demons who were on the other catwalks and terrain tried to shoot at the group by Malfurion's vines did not break easy while the demon hunters provided cover for them. Vereesa and Tyrande also shot their arrows but it was not easy to aim while on the move. Eventually, they arrived on a small mountain and the vines let them all off
"At the top. Eonar is there and one of the dreadlords is making his way there." Thrall said
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Arthas asked and led the way to the top
Before he followed the rest, Malfurion wrapped their prisoners in more vines to ensure that they wouldn't escape. They may be injured but he wasn't confident injured means incapacitated to the demons. On the way to the top, multiple fire balls came raining down from the sky. It was unmistakably the artillery of a gunship
"Damn it all." Allari cursed when they were forced to try and dodge. "The rest of you, go. The three of us will take care of that gunship." she said and took to the skies, Vandel and Jace following her lead
"Keep moving." Thrall said when the demon hunters left
As the group made their way to the top, they engaged more and more demons. The closer they got to where Malfurion said Eonar was, the more demons they encounter. It only meant one thing, this was definitely the place. Malfurion took the chance to create treants from the surrounding trees which aided them against the Legion. Thrall did the same and was able to summon spirit wolves but rather than engage their immediate enemies, the Warchief had them go on ahead and check if any of the demons have reached Eonar. The wolves didn't reach their destination because someone had killed them, something that surprised the Warchief
"Thrall, what is it?" Malfurion asked curiously
"I wasn't able to send my wolves that far. Someone killed them." Thrall answered
"And all of you are next." a voice called out right as a large swarm of bats headed their way, forcing them all back. They all turned to where it came from and saw a dreadlord flying down to them. "You mortals dare to invade our fortress on Argus?"
"We've heard that before." Arthas said and tried hitting the dreadlord with his holy powers. He wasn't aware of the dreadlord's identity but it was Varimathras. His attack stung but the dreadlord simply shrugged this off and threw another swarm of bats
Varimathras hit the prince but Tyrande shot a flaming arrow right at him with. Despite having his minions with him, he knew that he wouldn't be able to defeat their current enemies with brute force alone especially since he was aware that one of them was Malfurion Stormrage so Varimathras decided to hide in the shadows and analyze the situation. The dreadlord's minions quickly engaged their enemies while he was using his cover to prepare a spell. After figuring out that Malfurion was the most powerful one among them, Varimathras reappeared and cast a sleeping spell on him before encasing him in a fel cage to ensure that no one would be able to break it quickly. The dreadlord knew that even if he doesn't take Malfurion out of the fight, he would be in deep trouble and didn't want to risk it
Arthas came charging at Varimathras right after he trapped Malfurion and slashed him with his sword. "Remove that spell, demon." he ordered but before he could land a second hit, the dreadlord caught his sword
"Sure, as soon as you are out of here." Varimathras said and took the sword from him before slamming him right into the ground. Just as he was about to finish Arthas off, his hand was hit by arrows and he dropped the prince's sword. He turned to where it came from and Vereesa quickly engaged him in direct combat. The dreadlord was slashed across his shoulder before he finally decided to summon his own demonic sword. However, he had a hard time as Vereesa didn't seem to try and beat him. 'This is a distraction.' he realized and put the ranger to sleep as well. When he turned to the rest of his enemies, he was hit by a large bolt of lightning. "You wretched orc!" he growled out and returned the favor before taking to the skies. Varimathras missed his first lightning bolt but a blast of multiple fel balls at Thrall knocked the Warchief into a wall. "Now then..." he said right before being hit a multiple star based energies
Upon seeing Vereesa being knocked out of the figh and the fact that the demon hunters weren't here, Tyrande knew she had little choice so she summoned another starstorm, one more powerful than the last. It killed a lot of the demons and forced Varimathras back into the ground after he was attacked by Thrall. Drawing her sword, Tyrande finished this and sliced his head off before he could get up. With him being dead, both Vereesa and Malfurion woke up and the priestess was quick to rush to her lover
"Malfurion." Tyrande said, helping him up before looking at the high elf. "Vereesa, are you?"
"I'm fine." Malfurion replied, clutching his head
"It's something I won't forget anytime soon." Vereesa added and observed their surroundings, finding a lot of corpses around. "Where is..." she asked but stopped when she saw Varimathras. "The dreadlord."
"Most of the demons here are dead but we still need to find Eonar." Tyrande said
Fel fire soon rained down from the sky once more right as a gunship hovered right above them and continued to fire to some distance away from them. As Tyrande, Vereesa and Malfurion prepared for a fight, they were relieved to see the three demon hunters jump down although they were all bleeding from the engagement of capturing the gunship
"The Legion's forces are mostly decimated now. Eonar should be in the clear." Allari said right as someone appeared before them
"You have my gratitude, mortals. Had the Legion captured me, Sargeras would have used my powers for his own sinister purposes." the individual said, who was a feminine one and definitely not someone from Azeroth
"Eonar, I take it?" Vandel asked suspiciously
The titan simply nodded and used her powers to heal everyone's injuries, including the demon hunters, something they did not expect at all and she even restored them back to full strength and power
"Wait, you can also heal our demonic powers?" Jace asked in surprise
"I can. Life still flows through you and I am the patron of life. As such, I can fully heal you even if you are part demons." Eonar replied
"If that is the case..." Allari said, getting everyone's attention. 'Illidan, can you come through the portal? Just find the gunship. There is something you must behold for yourself.'
"Allari, what is it?" Vereesa asked curiously
"Just wait." Allari replied
A few minutes later, Illidan and Vashj rode on the back of Malygos. The dragon aspect opted to just carry them knowing they would be able to travel faster and that the Legion might collapse the portal on them. The Lich King was curious as to what Allari was up to but since it was quiet after the others went on ahead, he decided to see for himself
"Eonar..." Malygos gasped when they arrived and he saw the titan
"Malygos." Eonar greeted back
'I guess Malygos really wasn't lying.' Illidan thought to himself but he wasn't in the mood for small talk. "Allari, what did you call me here for?"
Allari then turned to the titan. "Eonar, you said you can restore one back to perfect health, even demons, right?" she asked and the titan nodded. "Can you heal him?" she requested, pointing at Illidan, who was surprised at what he heard
"Of course." Eonar answered before turning to Illidan. "Are you ready?" she asked and him simply nodded. Pointing her hand at him, she began releasing some of her powers which surrounded him. Vashj stood ready to interfere if it would hurt him but it didn't and after a while, Eonar stopped and Illidan staggered back
"Illidan, are you okay?" Vashj asked worriedly
The Lich King simply smirked as he recollected himself. He didn't give a vocal answer and just transformed into his demon form, his body turning from pale gray into pitch black with his tattoos brightly glowing green. "More than okay." he answered and turned to the other demon hunters. "Are there still any surviving demons?"
"There is. Why is that, brother?" Malfurion asked
"I want to ask them something." Illidan answered simply as the dragon aspect handed over the orbs that contained the spirits of the other titans to Eonar
While Illidan was interrogating their captives, there was an uptick of energy that didn't last for more than a few minutes before vanishing altogether. It was so potent that even Vereesa, a non magic user, felt it
"What was that?" Vereesa asked curiously
"The portal to Argus as been closed off." Malygos answered and everyone started to panic
"What? How in the hell are we supposed to go back?!" Arthas demanded to know
Illidan merely chuckled and raised a hand. A portal then flared to life and it led to Antorus. He then turned to the other demon hunters. "Allari, Vandel, Jace, take the Paraxis to Azeroth or somewhere secure."
"Wait, you don't want us to return to Argus?" Allari asked in surprise
"For now, no. I need you to secure our prisoners out of the battle." Illidan replied. "Besides, something tells me that numbers alone won't have that much of an impact against Kil'jaeden but make sure you don't engage the cloud that is heading towards Azeroth. That is Sargeras."
Antorus
Later after killing the Coven of Shivarra, the rest of Azeroth's forces continued to make their way through the fortress. More demons were encountered but there was still no sign of Kil'jaeden. That was until they saw a door that was as large as the main entrance. They didn't hesitate to blow open the door and inside was the Deceiver looking out the window. The demon lord wasn't quite surprised that his enemies had managed to make their way all the way here
"Deceiver!" Velen yelled out. "We have come to end your invasion of Azeroth! Your master's crusade dies here!"
Kil'jaeden turned to face his enemies. "Is there no end to your sanctimonious bluster, Velen?" he asked dryly
"Enough talk." Kor'vas announced. "Let's get this over with already." she said and charged at Kil'jaeden
As the rest of his enemies were coming right at him, the Deceiver wasn't bothered in the slightest. He simply raised up his arm and multiple shadow orbs, dozens of them, appeared in front of him. After a couple seconds, the orbs shot beams of dark energy right at them. Given their sheer numbers, everyone was hit by at least one of them. These energies were far more powerful and potent than anything before and after multiple back to back fights, everyone except for Velen were blasted away, even the demon hunters, who were slightly worn out by the Legion's constructs
From just one attack, Kil'jaeden has completely incapacitated or killed all of his attackers. The Deceiver knew that not all of them were dead so he scanned the room for who was the weakest and saw the three demon hunters which had perished during the war against the Old Gods. Since they were the closest to him, Kil'jaeden moved towards each of them, using fel magics to extend his claws and killed them all with just one swing each. Those that weren't immediately knocked out by the Deceiver's first attack tried getting up by they were unable to. His attack did far too much for them to move immediately. The only exception was Velen, who managed to protect himself with a holy shield as soon as Kil'jaeden made a gesture. However, even that did not protect the prophet as even he was slammed into a wall but the shield did protect him from the worst of it. Velen then shot a stream of holy energy at him only for Kil'jaeden to counter with his own fel energy
"The vision Sargeras showed you was a lie, Kil'jaeden. Surrender." Velen tried to get his former brother to stand down
"Never! Our crusade will never yield!" Kil'jaeden declared before forcefully dispelling both energy beams. "You claim the mantle of prophet yet you fail to see the inevitable fate of all worlds. Give up." he said coldly. "This is a battle you cannot win."
"But he's not alone." a voice from the doorway said before another beam of fel shot at them
Kil'jaeden was able to dodge this easily and saw other individuals arrive to join the battle. "Illidan Stormrage. We meet again."
"Kil'jaeden." Illidan muttered and released his blade's powers but unlike the time Vashj used it, it was fel in color and not orange. "'The inevitable fate of all worlds', you say? Spoken by someone who is blinded by his loyalty to Sargeras."
"As if you would know anything about loyalty." Kil'jaeden countered before summoning a sword to his hand. Illidan was surprised as that sword was one he wielded not too long ago, Dusksoul, the sword made by Azshara and it answered his confusion as to why he couldn't summon it to his hand
Illidan grew intruiged by this and quickly charged at the Deceiver, his blades burning green, contrary to the orange it had in Vashj's hands. As expected, Kil'jaeden blocked the first attack easily. However, Kil'jaeden wasn't at all confident that his own ability to fight in direct combat would be enough to challenge Illidan but he had no intention in just brawling with him. While Illidan being here could pose a problem, Kil'jaeden was not known as the Deceiver for nothing. Turning his sights to the rest of the group who came from Elunaria, Kil'jaeden released a pulse of fel which forced back Illidan before raising his hand. Shadow energies gathered at the other side of the room before creating an explosion
Arthas, Tyrande and Thrall were all instantly knocked out by that one attack given the proximity. It didn't help that they were harshly slammed into the room walls. Vashj and Malfurion were able to remain awake but Kil'jaeden created images made out of fel which pierced them both
"Vashj!" Illidan yelled out and in complete fury, released his demon form and unleashed an eye beam
Kil'jaeden took advantage of his opponent's agitated state and released a wave of energy from Dusksoul which was powerful enough to block the eye beam. The Deceiver then created mirror images of himself which were indistinguishable from the real thing except Illidan could clearly see which was which. The demon hunter did not even try to fight off the images and headed straight for the real Kil'jaeden only for a large blast of fel fire got shot towards him from the images. Fortunately for him, Velen created a shield around him, revealing that he had protected himself from Kil'jaeden's shadow magics and now, also protected Illidan. The images were soon engaged by more images, this time made out of arcane
The two demons looked to the source and found Malygos on the other side of the room. Since it was large enough, he transformed into his dragon form. Kil'jaeden saw this and dispelled all the images, both fel and arcane before pinning Illidan into the wall right beside a window using a fel spear, one that used the demon hunter turned Lich King's own power to sustain itself. The more he struggled, the more he remain pinned. When the dragon aspect finally finished transforming, Kil'jaeden increased his own size to even the scales, much to Malygos' surprise
Malygos shot his frost breath at the demon lord but it was blocked by a transparent barrier. Kil'jaeden then teleported behind the dragon and tried to kill him. The dragon aspect barely dodged this and manage to push the demon lord back with his tail. Knowing that he would continue to be at a disadvantage if Kil'jaeden can just teleport around that easily, the dragon aspect created a static field that would disrupt the any magics that would be used for teleportation. The Deceiver wasn't bothered by this in the slightest since he didn't expect nor plan to continue use that trick anyway
As the two continued to clash, Velen went over to Illidan and try to free him. It took the prophet quite a while to break the demon hunter free from the spear
"What the hell was that spear?" Illidan groaned as he wasn't as injured as he expected before he turned to his injured lover
"No time for that now." Velen responded and noticed the expression on his face. "Don't worry. I healed the worst of Vashj's injuries but it will take time for her to recover." he assured and shot a holy blast at the Deceiver
Caught in the middle of fighting the dragon aspect, Kil'jaeden was hit by his former brother's attack which allowed the dragon aspect to bite him on the sword arm. The Deceiver increased the temperature on his sword arm and forced Malygos off him right as Illidan charged at him again. Kil'jaeden was barely able to block with Dusksoul, which had also grown in size when the Deceiver increased his own but Illidan shot a point blank eye beam at him. Malygos then followed it up by creating arcane markings in the air which shot destructive energy at the demon lord while protecting Illidan with another marking that transformed into a protective shield
"Give up, Kil'jaeden. Let it all end." Velen urged but he was still more than ready to fight
"I already gave you my answer." Kil'jaeden replied through the smoke and gathered multiple shadow orbs, the very same attack he used to incapacitate the rest of the group
Illidan, Velen and Malygos were hit by at least one of those and sustained great damage. Even Malygos was surprised at how powerful Kil'jaeden was. They were all forced back and finally, Velen was knocked out of the fight after he was hit multiple times. Illidan and Malygos fared better but not by much
'We can't afford to prolong this battle, Illidan.' Malygos spoke telepathically
'I know but him having Dusksoul only makes this more difficult. I'll try to keep him-' Illidan responded but was cut off when the Deceiver shot a stream of darkness at him. He dodged this and summoned elemental like creatures made out of pure fel fire. This distracted Kil'jaeden which allowed Illidan the chance to begin casting something complex
Seeing Illidan get attacked made it clear that Kil'jaeden was not just going to give them the time they need to plan an attack so when the Lich King created the fel elementals, Malygos used his magic to make them endlessly recreate themselves whenever they were killed. As Kil'jaeden was occupied fighting the elementals, Illidan casted a spell which slowly burned the Deceiver from within using his own fel energies while Malygos shot an incredibly powerful arcane blast at the demon lord. The effect of the blast slammed the demon lord into a wall and it was quickly followed up by an eye beam from the demon hunter turned Lich King
"Think we got him?" Malygos asked, being unable to see through the smoke
"Not yet." Illidan replied, the smoke not bothering him at all and shot another eye beam at the demon lord
Furious, Kil'jaeden made the ground erupt in fel fire which blocked the eye beam. More eruptions happened and his two remaining enemies were hit. The Deceiver forced the smoke to clear and stabbed Dusksoul into the floor, channeling his power through the sword and creating strange markings. A few seconds later, darkness came out of the floor and wrapped around Malygos as the dragon was trying to dodge the eruptions. The darkness absorbed the dragon aspect's very energies and turned the powers given to him by the Pantheon against him and burned him inside out. When Malygos finally lost consciousness, the darkness finally let him go and he fell to the ground. He was also badly bleeding from the attack with his arcane energies flowing through the open wounds
"Malygos!" Illidan yelled and created some of his energy lassos and had them wrap around the demon lord
Kil'jaeden was too occupied with taking down the Spell Weaver and was unable to defend himself from the lassos. He could feel his energies being taken and absorbed by Illidan however, he was aware of this trick as he did observe his fight with Archimonde. 'Not this time, demon hunter.' he thought to himself and decided to play Illidan's game. With a single swing of Dusksoul, Kil'jaeden bound the demon hunter's legs to the ground while simultaneously releasing multiple waves of shadow magics. Since the Lich King was bound, he wasn't able to dodge right as the waves sliced off the lassos and one of them cut him right across the face and front body which also sliced off the very same horn that was cut when he was imprisoned. Not giving him a chance to recover, Kil'jaeden slammed Illidan into the wall with a blast of fel fire
"Insolent fools. Your fate was sealed the moment you set foot on Argus." Kil'jaeden said, all his enemies either dead or just about dead. "An inevitable fate against those that dare stand against the Legion."
At the door, Eonar, along with the spirits of the titans who had appeared in an ethereal form, observed the entire battle. She was instructed not to interfere because she was not a fighter at all and her own powers has still been depleted. While she is able to heal others, Eonar did not regain her powers for fear that Sargeras would find her. Malygos had casted an invisibility spell on her that was powerful enough that even Kil'jaeden did not sense their presense
"No!" the spirit of Aman'thul said after both Illidan and Malygos were knocked out. "After all we have endured. It must not end like this!"
"Hope is not lost, Highfather." Eonar said and began releasing her powers. "The spark of life still flickers within them."
As the Life Binder's powers healed his enemies, only then did Kil'jaeden realize that he had been fooled. He was too occupied with fighting his enemies that he didn't even bother to check for anything else especially since he didn't have the spectral sight which would have allowed him to see them regardless. "So, you foolish titans are still alive." the Deceiver muttered and shot a stream of fel at the titan but was blocked by an arcane barrier. "The dragon." he said in realization
"And still, you fight us. Still you deny the inevitable." Kil'jaeden said in frustration as all of the enemies he defeated got up. "Your incessant resistance is maddening! Why will you not yield?!"
"Have your countless defeats taught you nothing, Deceiver?" Illidan asked him back. "Your crusade has tried to claim Azeroth three times and have gotten no significant results and now, you are outnumbered. Give up, Kil'jaeden."
"Defeats you say? For someone who is supposed to be a demon himself, you seem unable to realize the difference between a shallow victory and a significant defeat." Kil'jaeden countered before having more shadow magics surround him. "But no matter, savor your numbers. It will not save you." he said boldly, completely unafraid of the situation he was in and released darkness all over the room and it reached even to where the Eonar was
Everyone was completely surprised as aside from the demon hunters, no one could really see anything. Before too long, creatures made out of pure shadows appeared in the darkness. Being unable to see anything, they were all forced to engage the shadow creatures but the more they killed, the more creatures appeared. Not only that, even though their vision was greatly impaired, it slowly became darker and darker to the point where the only thing they could see were the creatures of darkness. It became clear that killing the creatures would only fuel whatever darkness Kil'jaeden had trapped them in. More evidence supported this as instead of unknown shadow creatures, the shadows now took on the form of whoever they were currently engaging. Even the demon hunters' spectral sight were slowly losing vision
Only Illidan's vision was mostly unaffected and after a few minutes of killing the creatures, he realized what is going on. 'A distraction.' he said and tried to locate Kil'jaeden through the darkness. He found the demon lord using the veil of darkness to flee. "The Deceiver is escaping." he yelled out
"Go get him." Illysanna yelled back. "We can't see anything in the darkness. Go already!"
Upon hearing what was going on, Velen was the first to react as Illidan was occupied fighting reflections of himself. The prophet called upon the powers of the Light to give him vision. It didn't give him perfect vision but it allowed him to make out the shapes of his allies, enemies and surroundings. This allowed him to chase after his former brother who had escaped into a stairwell which led to an upper level
Seeing Velen run after Kil'jaeden, Illidan knew that he would need back up so he killed the shadow reflections of himself before chasing the prophet and the demon lord. He had to slaughter some of the reflections the others were fighting and it revealed his silhouette for an instant which prevented any friendly fire. Illidan followed the stairwell upwards and found himself on the very top most level of the fortress, something that mirrored his own fortress in Silvermoon. 'I guess we demons think alike.' he thought to himself as he watched Velen and Kil'jaeden shoot their respective energies at each other
"You hunted your own people, chasing us across the stars. Enough is enough." Velen said
"Hunted? It is you who abandoned me to the Legion. We could have resisted Sargeras but you did not trust me enough to realize what Sargeras was truly up to." Kil'jaeden yelled back in complete anger. "It is you who forced me to make the decisions I chose just to ensure that the Burning Legion would not wipe our race out of the face of existence!"
"Like it really matters now." Illidan said and got their attention before shooting a small blizzard at the demon lord. "What is past is past and this will be your end, Deceiver."
"We shall see about that, Betrayer, Prophet."
It took a while but I hope the first half of the Kil'jaeden fight wasn't a disappointment. I've written him to where he is a major big bad so of course he had to be this powerful and having Dusksoul only makes him stronger. For the battle itself, the shadow orbs he used is my version of Darkness of a Thousand Souls. In his Tomb of Sargeras tactics page, that spell targets everyone on the raid. I just altered it to attack multiple areas with devasting power all at once. The spell he used to smother the battlefield in darkness is Deceiver's Veil which I also altered so that it would create shadow illusions of those affected by it. The veil did affect the demon hunters and my reasoning for that is the raid itself, one of, if not, the only in game thing that I directly copied. In the battle against Kil'jaeden, even player DHs can't see through the veil until Illidan flies to the platform. I decided to keep it that way. If Illidan can share his sight with the others then I don't see why he can't see through the veil
When I was writing this battle, I decided to replicate what only Arthas and Argus were able to do and that was completely wipe out their enemies. Since Kil'jaeden is the major big bad, I gave that honor to him and while I don't think he is as powerful as Argus, the near nonstop battles only tilted the scales in his favor. Even after his efforts were undone by Eonar, he is still a massive threat since he completely incapacitated them again via the veil. It also mirrors what happened in the canon where after Argus kills the raid, Eonar brings everyone back to life
Remember how I said the portal would be of significance, here it is. It was to allow Illidan to be restored to full strength and actually participate in the battle against Kil'jaeden. It would be really weird if he didn't because fighting Kil'jaeden seemed to be something Illidan was really looking forward to in the canon
In Elunaria, I decided to make the battle short. Varimathras never seemed to be someone too notable for me but I didn't really downgrade him too much since he is a Dreadlord and his Dreadlord tricks is what allowed him to take out Malfurion. Now, Malfurion is significantly stronger than him in raw power but this is simply a case of how powers are used. This time, Varimathras has a slight advantage since he can forcefully put someone to sleep. In all honesty, Malfurion didn't have a particularly good track record against the Dreadlords and that might be a troll on my end but I really can't see him take out a Dreadlord easily because of how his powers work. Another factor about this is since the Battle of Mount Hyjal in the canon, I think Malfurion got weaker since he is now just a mortal after all. I could be wrong about this though so apologies if I am
Lastly, I decided to give Malygos a highlight in battle. The last one was against Deathwing and he had some help. This time, he also has some help against Kil'jaeden. There never was a consensus on this and I just decided that both Archimonde and Kil'jaeden to be slightly stronger than a Dragon Aspect. This is why he also lost to Kil'jaeden albeit the demon lord did use some dirty tricks
That's about it for now. Next chapter will continue on the second part of the battle against Kil'jaeden
