Chapter 5 - Pool Party I
(4 days later, June 2, 2006)
Kim opened up the front door of the Possible household.
"Heya, Ron! Come on in!"
Ron, of course, was in his usual outfit and Kim was wearing her CB Railroad Stripe overalls over her white croptop. They were a bit big on her so she had both straps hooked and threaded a Club Banana belt through the beltloops to make sure she wasn't exposing any undergarments. She had socks on.
"Thanks, KP! Are the DrsP around?" he asked. Rufus popped out of his pants pocket.
"Just Dad. He took the day off today from work. Said that he was planning some important sitch." Kim replied. "I'll tell him that you and Rufus are here."
She went upstairs to knock on the door of the master bedroom.
"Dad, Ron's here!"
"Okay, Kimmie-cub! Just tell him that the Pop-Pop Porter's Mini-Corn Dogs are in the freezer." he called back from the door.
"I will!"
Kim came back downstairs.
"Dad told me that you can have some Pop-Pop Porters in the freezer." she said.
"Awesome-sauce! Me and Rufus are so hungry!" Ron replied.
"Why not go to Bueno Nacho?" Kim asked.
"Line was much longer than usual." Ron replied, "BN just came out with a new chimmerito with a sauce hotter than the Diablo sauce, but the line wrapped around five blocks."
"That's so not usually like you." Kim said, worrying about him. "I know how much you love Bueno Nacho."
"Yeah, but there comes a point where you just cannot hold it in to use the bathroom." Ron remarked."I had to use the john at the library that was across the street from Bueno Nacho. As well as Rufus, too."
"So what can we do for today?" Kim asked, "We can't just become mindless zombies on the TV, watching old reruns of episodes."
Before Ron could answer, Kim's cell phone in her overalls pocket began to ring. The caller ID said MONIQUE on it.
Kim got out her phone and answered it.
"Hello? Heya, Monique!"
Monique replied, "Heya, girl! Anything new in the Possible cabana?"
Kim sighed, "No, Dad's working on something important from what he told me. And me and Ron are basically stuck with nothing to do."
"Then come on over with your BF, Kim! Becuase my mom's hosting a pool party for my big sis!" Monique shouted.
"Did she just get her diploma?" Kim asked.
"Yep, she's now 'officially' an adult!" Monique replied, referring to her 18-year old sister Tamara Smith, whom had recently graduated from Middleton High. "She wants to hold one last large get-together before we send her to college."
"Awesome. I'll have to ask Dad first before we can go." Kim replied.
"OK. Tell me when MrDrP has the green light!" Monique insisted, "TTYL, girl!"
"Same here, Monqiue!" Kim said before hanging up.
"So what's the news from Monique?" Ron questioned.
"Pool party at her house for her sis before she heads for college." Kim replied, "I gotta ask Dad first, though."
She headed up the stairs to the master bedroom and knocked on the door.
"Dad, may I head to Monique's house for a pool party there for her sister?" she asked, "She's graduated from Middleton High and her mom wants to hold something before she goes to college."
"I do not see a problem with that!" James replied from the door, "But be sure that you wear something over your bathing suit and be back by sunset."
"That is so going to be no big!" Kim replied. She headed back up to her room to change.
(10 minutes later)
Kim came back down again. This time, she wore her bathing suit over her white croptop and overalls. She also decided to wear the bib portion of the overalls down but still kept the straps hooked and the CB belt stayed as well to make sure they did not fall down on her and infuriate her parents. She also added giant gold hoop earrings, white sneakers, and tied her hair back in a ponytail to complete the look.
Ron took one look at her and was blown away. Rufus also clapped his paws together.
"You look totally ready for summer, KP!" he exclaimed.
"Thanks for the compliment, Ron!" Kim said with a smile. "Now let's head on over to Monique's! She said the party's getting started!"

The two of them walked on over to Monique's house. She had a large pool area, probably because the Smith's pool was the largest one in the entire neighborhood. Tamara invited Tara, Amelia, Hope, Crystal, Liz, Jessica, Zita, Felix, and, of course, Kim and Ron to the party, along with some of the other members of the Middleton High Class of 2006. Amelia, Jessica, and Tara were in two-piece bikinis while Hope, Crystal, Liz, Jessica, and Zita were in one-piece bathing suits.
Kim had all of their pool gear in a tote bag.
"Hey, girls!" Kim exclaimed, waving her hand to her fellow classmates across the pool.
"And hello, everyone!" Ron exclaimed, not wishing to call them ladies because of the fact that their boyfriends were there as well.
"Heya, Kim!" some of the other girls called back.
"Where's Tamara and Monique?" Kim asked.
"They're in the kitchen, talking with their parents." Tara said, pointing to the open patio sliding door.
"Ron, can you lay down our pool stuff at that empty chair over there?" Kim asked, pointing to an empty chair.
"Sure can do, KP!" Ron replied as he and Rufus went over there.
Kim went in the house and saw both Monique and Tamara. Tamara was in a two-piece bikini and Monique was in a one-piece.
"Hey, girl! You finally made it!" Monique exclaimed as she hugged her bestie.
Kim hugged her back.
"Yeah, it was only a 20-minute walk! No big!"
Tamara added, "Yeah, baby girl! I am officially now at the big 1-8! No more being stuck in the house with chores!"
"Is being an adult fun?" Kim asked.
Tamara replied, "Oh yes! You get to be finally free of the 'rents, for I am an Go City University Golden Knight!"
"Woo-hoo!" Kim cheered.
"Did you say hey to everyone else?" Monique asked.
"Of course!" Kim replied. "Where can I change? My legs could really use the sun!"
"You can use the guest room, Kim." Monique instructed her, pointing to the hallway. "Second door to the right."
Kim went to the hallway and changed.
