Chapter 31 - Day 1: Back on the Road.

(1:37pm)

Kim, Ron, and Terri all finished up their ice cream.

Kim ended up with caramel on her mouth.

"Man...that sundae was spankin'! Can you pass me a napkin, Ron?"

"I sue can, milady!" came Ron's response as he passed a napkin to her.

Kim cleared her mouth of the caramel. Then her attention was on the woman wearing the trenchcoat.

Kim put her napkin aside on the table.

"What is it, KP?" Ron asked.

"Ron..." Kim said, staring at the woman, "...it is extremely off for someone to wear a trechcoat in the middle of summer."

The woman in the trenchcoat gave a smile and said, "You're certainly right about one thing...it is unusual!"

She immediately threw off her trenchcoat, pushed a chair aside and grabbed Terri's camera. It was revealed that she had blonde hair, blue eyes, and was in her mid 30s. She was wearing a t-shirt and jeans.

"Hey!" Terri exclaimed, "That's mine!"

"Not anymore!" the woman taunted, grabbing the camera and making her way to the exit.

Kim gasped and somersaulted in the air, landing on her feet.

"Smart girl! I didn't know you could move that well in baggy overalls!" the woman smirked.

"Give back that camera now!" Kim insisted, getting into a fightring stance "It doesn't belong to you!"

"I hate to interrupt, but that camera has something of extreme importance that your puny little mind won't comprehend!" the woman exclaimed.

"You would so not dare even call me puny!" Kim growled.

"Be careful with my camera, Kim!" Terri insisted.

"Don't worry, I'll get it back!" Kim said confidently.

She charged at the woman while trying to avoid hitting the camera.

"The boss has something in that camera that we want!" the woman exclaimed.

"Well, tell your boss that he's not going to get it!" Kim exclaimed. She threw a couple of punches but the woman dodged them. Kim then tried a sweeping kick but, again, the woman dodged it.

Man, she's good. I gotta think of something fast.

The woman tried to punch Kim, but she again dodged it.

Kim saw an unoccupied table that still had ice cream in a cup. She threw the ice cream right in the woman's eyes.

"AHHH! MY EYES! I CANNOT SEE!"

Taking the opportunity, Kim kicked the woman in the stomach to the floor and, at the same time, the force of the redhead's kick forced Terri's camera into the air.

Terri gasped, "My camera!"

Ron shouted, "KP!"

"I got this!" Kim exclaimed. She jumped in the air, tumbled, and grabbed the camera before landing back feet-first perfectly.

Kim smirked at the defeated woman growling at her.

"That move so won State for my cheer squad!"

She gave the camera back to Terri.

"Thanks , Kim!" Terri exclaimed, thanking her cousin.

"It's so not the drama!" Kim replied.

(1:55pm)

The Boulder police arrived in time. There were around three police cars around the ice cream shop.

Officer Davis smiled at Kim.

"It was a good thing you were here, Miss Possible! We've been trying to catch this pickpocket for a few months, but she has been very elusive!"

"It's no big, Officer. I'm the world's biggest evi undoer!" Kim laughed.

"That's my bon-diggety girlfriend right there!" Ron chuckled.

'We'll book her at the station, Miss Possible." Officer Davis replied as two other officers, one male and one female, picked up the female perpetrator, placing handcuffs behind her back and reading her rights.

"That's one less criminal off the streets." Kim said, "Now, Terri, where were we?"

"Ah yes...my train collection!" Terri replied, "I think we can fit in a brief tour before your dad's 3pm deadline."

"Then that's settled! To Terri's house!"

(2:50pm)

Back at June's house, James looked at his watch.

He sighed, "Ten minutes left and still no sign of Kimmie-cub or Ronald."

Jim chuckled, "Maybe they got stuck on traffic."

"Or maybe they are sharing cooties with each other!" Tim added.

"Eww...gross!" Larry exclaimed, "That is not how that Tetahians share their love in Everlot!"

"Boys, how many times do I have to say that? We do not mock the new couple." James insisted.

"Should we look for them?" Anne asked on the sofa.

"No, Anne. Kimberly usually has a signature knock every time she comes home from a mission." James said.

And as he said those words, a familiar three-tap sounds came at the door.

"And speak of the devil!" James chuckled.

The door opened and in came Kim and Ron. Both of the straps of Kim's overalls were still hooked.

"Heya, Kimberly. You made it!" he added. "And with 8 minutes to spare!"

"Heya, Dad! Me, Ron and Terri had a fun time together!" Kim replied. "We went for ice cream together, and we saw Terri spot a train."

"So what was the holdup?" James asked.

"Someone tried to take Terri's cam, but we got it back!" Kim said. "It was no big!"

"That's my girl!" James replied with a grin. "Slim just called not more than 15 minutes ago. He wants us to be in Wyoming tomorrow to drop off Jocelyn."

"And that would probably mean that we would have to get on the road." Kim muttered.

"Right on the nose, Kimmie-cub." James replied.

He then asked Larry. "Larry, can you put your suitcases in the pop-up trailer for me since, you know, there's no access to the rear doors?"

"It will not be a problem, Uncle James!" Larry replied.

Then he turned to Kim and added, "We're gonna have some fun quality time, fellow cousin!"

Kim nervously chuckled

"Yes...very fun, Larry..."

(15 minutes later)

James put all of Larry's clothes, mainly copies of his usual outfit, and his toiletries into the trailer.

"Okay, Possible troops, let's pile in and head on out of here!" the Possible patriarch insisted.

June, on her crutches,

And so, as per the seating arrangements set up by James, James and Ann sat in the front seat. The Tweebs sat in the middle row and Ron, Kim, and Larry sat in the rear with her in the middle, Ron to the right and Larry to the left.

James started the engine to the Platypus, put the van in reverse, and pulled out of the driveway.

_
Unknown to them, both Genna and Richard, the two graduates who were following the Possibles all this time, were looking through the binoculars.

"They're on the road again." Richard sighed, putting away his binoculars.

"I know that, Captain Obvious!" Genna sneered, getting out the GPS device. It was tracking the Platypus. "We still need to tail them without getting noticed!"

"So we simply blend into the traffic on I-25?" Richard questioned while grabbing his hand on the steering wheel.

"Correct!" Genna exclaimed. "Now start the engine and let's go!"

Richard started the engine and followed the coordinates of where the Platypus was headed to next.
