The guardian got to work. "Ten to one, on the girl, starting at one hundred glimmer!" He only had a thousand left, so he'd have to be careful about only letting the most trustworthy types take him up on it. Of course, Kipo also had to win, but he said he trusted her, so he would. Immediately there was interest, people looking at him with curiosity and skepticism. He stoked both, playing up his absurd faith in his claim. "Ten to one, on Kipo, the strongest girl in the world! Starting at one hundred glimmer, claiming full honesty!"

The claim of full honesty was as close to legal terminology as they had out here in wilds, and it meant he had no intention of leaving or getting out of payment.

"I'll take it!" A woman, grinning at the prospect an easy ten glimmer approached him.

The guardian pointed at her. "You're prepared to pay losses?"

She laughed. "Are you serious!? That small thing versus a Titan?" She sighed at his glare, and continued, digging in her pockets. "I can pay losses."

"Thank you! Any other takers?" Other people began to step forward, greed lightening their faces, and the guardian forced himself to smile welcomingly. "One hundred on Kipo Oak, ten-to-one odds!" As people began handing him their hundred-glimmer chunks, he kept his eye on Kipo and the Titan. She was bantering with him now, making scathing conversation. The Titan, for his part, looked uncomfortable but was trying to hide it. Soon, a good half-dozen people had carried a solid wooden table and a pair of chairs to where they stood.

"Hey, Pork."

The ghost appeared, shell twitching nervously. "Yes, guardian?"

"You go up there, be the mediator, okay? Start them off with a three second countdown when they're both ready."

"Ok, guardian."

"Pork?"

"Yes, guardian?"

"Do you think Kipo can do this?"

Pork spun his shell once. "She is very strange. I do not know. But I believe in her." Pork floated off.

Kipo sat first, scooting the metal chair forward with eagerness. "C'mon, then!" she shouted. "Ya scared!?"

The Titan pulled out his ghost, who transmitted all the guardian's armor away, leaving him in a pair of combat pants and tank top making show of his sturdy musculature. He sat deliberately and set his right elbow on the table. Kipo grinned and shucked off her poncho and gloves. She leaned forward and said something to the Titan that the guardian couldn't make out, but it made the Titan scowl.

They gripped hands, Kipo's almost disappearing. They took a moment to adjust their seating, then locked eyes.

Pork bobbed once. "Three, two, one, go!"

The Titan's arm muscles flexed and in a wave of potential energy, he brought his strength to bear on the thirteen year old in front of him. The entire crowd gasped as the girl laughed, easily bearing the brunt of a Titan's strength, unmoved. The guardian focused his sharp gaze, and saw that strangeness in her eyes was there yet again, like when he'd seen her handle the guns earlier in the morning. The whites had darkened to a frightening purple, and her irises had changed shape, becoming tall and thin, like a cat's.

She smiled, teeth bared. "Is that all you've got?" Then she began to push. Kipo began pushing the Titan's arm backwards, slowly, and there was nothing but shock and exertion on her opponent's face. Then he redoubled his efforts, gritting his teeth, the veins in his arms bulging as he used more of his hard-earned strength against this impossibly strong teenage girl.

The crowd was awestruck, fingers pointing and conjectures flying loudly. But the guardian was smiling. He had no idea how she was doing it, but he knew he'd been right to trust her. Kipo Oak had tricks up her sleeve, and he could respect that.

"Come on!" Kipo shouted. "I know you've got more than that! Show me that Light my guardian told me about!"

"What are you!?" The Titan exclaimed in shock as his strength was overcome.

"Show me!" she challenged.

The Titan shuddered as Kipo's strength pushed his arm yet further down. Then he growled, "Your grave, kid." Then with a shout, lightning exploded from him, embracing his figure in crackling arc light, sending shadows leaping and jumping on the walls around the clearing. The guardian gasped, fear jumping up his throat. That could kill her! The power visibly consolidated into his arm and eyes, making them shine with spitting blue energy, and a small bit of pressure left the guardian as he realized the Titan could use his light nonlethally. The Titan pushed her advance, bringing them back to level, arc energy crackling and spitting sparks.

Kipo laughed, entire body braced against the table's frame. "There we go! That's what I'm talking about!" Then she gritted her teeth and grew. That was the only word the guardian could think of to describe the process. The muscles in her arms visibly expanded, and suddenly the baggy sweater he'd given her this morning was very quickly grown into. And was that… fur on her hand!?

Then she pushed back, and the Titan once again was on the defensive. He shouted, arc energy leaping from his arms to scour the table's surface. They went back and forth for several moments, the crowd becoming more and more tense as Kipo began to flag. She was breathing heavily, sweat pouring down her brow, but the smile didn't leave her face even as her arm was pushed back.

Before he could think about it, the guardian was shouting. "Go, Kipo! Beat him!" His shouts served as a catalyst for the crowd, and they began shouting and cheering as well, not necessarily for either combatant, just pulled into a general feeling of awe and tension that elevated the collective emotions to a new high. The guardian suddenly realized that he loved this feeling, that of hearing people cheer for something. Why?

Kipo let out a shout that sounded almost like a roar, and suddenly the Titan was losing. The crowd began to collectively lose their minds as Kipo pushed forward, driving the Titan's arm nearer and nearer the wooden surface. Then with a flashing bolt of arc energy and a burst of ozone, the Titan's knuckles made contact.

The man slumped over, the light fading from him as he gasped in pain. Kipo let the man's hand go and leapt on the table triumphantly, raising her small fist high. The crowd cheered, all confusion and skepticism swept aside.

"Yes! Yes!" Kipo shouted, doing a little dance on the table, "Thank you all for coming to this week's episode of KIPO KICKS BUTT!"

"All right, come pay your bets here!" The guardian shouted, and a few of his takers began suddenly losing their enthusiasm. They began handing over their thousand glimmer each, but he watched Kipo hop off the table, shaking her right arm as if to get blood flow back in it. Even over the chatter of the crowd, he could hear her reminding the Titan about their agreement.

He stuck a smile on his face. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, have a nice day and remember not to underestimate children!" the guardian said to the grumblers giving him their nicely large chunks of glimmer, but after the last he immediately packed it up and moved back to where Kipo stood.

She stuck out her normal-sized hand. "Ok, dude, you promised! Sparrow, please."

The Titan looked up, expression screwed in confusion, wordless.

The guardian's ghost appeared, and spoke to the Titan. "Remington, you did promise her."

He shook his head. "All right, all right, fine. Take it. I have seven more. Exotic sparrows are a dime-a-dozen." Remington waved his hand, and the ghost transmatted the prize beside Kipo.

The sparrow was shined and silvered, powerful frame reflecting the afternoon light. The guardian's mouth opened silently, but Kipo was decidedly less reserved in her reaction.

"Woah! It's gorgeous!" She jumped on it, putting her hands on the steering bar and putting her feet on the pedals. She moved things and thankfully they didn't respond. She turned to the guardian, eyes wide. "Teach me to drive it!"

"Uh, yeah, I guess…" he replied, trying to appear more relaxed while he kept one eye on the fireteam.

Remington watched them with a dour look, then turned to walk back to his companions. The Warlock was eyeing Kipo intently, eyes narrowed. They started murmuring amongst themselves, and the guardian immediately set to working out the best escape routes from the area.

"Here," he said, grabbing Kipo's attention, "let's check the other one. It might still work."

...

I'll address a few of the reviews, because some of you seem confused.

Will she get home? SPOILER of course lol, at the end of the story. I made this fanfic to have an ending point.

Will there be a chapter 11? Yep. And hopefully a chapter 12 too.

Kipo has both her arms. She never lost any. She did get shot, but the wire rifle shot only grazed her, and when she was in jaguar form too. Her regeneration has repaired 90% of the damage already. If you want characters with only one arm, check out my Mononoke fanfic.
Yes, I did make a Gravity Falls reference ;)
