Author Announcement:
Hey all, hope everyone's havin' a good start of the year. Just a little heads up, the next few weeks I'm gonna need to take a break from writing as it is the busier time of the year for me, which sucks I know since we are so close to the end of the story /
But yes, hopefully the next chapter will be out by the second half of February and I thank you all for your continued interest.
I must admit, I thought for sure that this sequel will be shorter and thus ending earlier, but aww well, life happened and I don't have the same time to pump out the story like in the previous story.
"Well, that's what happens when you don't plan ahead luv, now you've got us all waitin' to see what's gonna happen in the end" Lena interrupted this announcement with a huff.
Hey wait what? What are you doing-
"You think you got it bad? I bet this author ain't never met a real cowboy, using all them stereotypes and Google quotes... Bet readers were cringin' whenever I talk" McCree added, lighting his cigar.
"Same goes for the military ranking. I'm ashamed at the crap that were listed in here" Morrison said, cleaning his rifle threateningly.
Hold up, how are you guys here? Go back into your spot until I can get it done!
"Did you forget? One of Blizzard's(?) characters is a world renown hacker" Lena smirked.
"Ola, I thought everyone needed to stretch their legs, so I brought them out. Gotta say, things have been interesting out here eh? Especially the monopoly that's been going on with… Microsoft and Activision?" Sombra read, squinting at the names.
Ok, you guys had your fun, now go back.
When none of them went back, The Author tried again, now with a childish threat.
Go back... Or else...
"Wow... You're not good at threats" Sombra laughed.
Sombra! Take them back or I'll... I'll just delete you from the story!
"You sure you want to do that friend? I have all your browser history right here" Sombra said with a wink, showing the Author, whose face paled slightly at the list "Especially now that I know who your favorite character is and your fantasies with her"
"Ooooo, lemme see, lemme see!" Lena shouted, but Sombra closed the list before she could read it.
"Nah-ah-ah, this kind of information is worth more than curiosity"
"You're no fun" Lena complained but brighten up when Emily held her hand to cheer her up.
"Hahahaha! So this is what the outside world looks like!" Reinhardt shouted, looking around.
Ok this is getting ridiculous, you guys need to go back and just wait for a few more weeks, is that so hard?
"A few weeks? Unacceptable! If you need tales, I can help you tell tales!"
"No one would wanna hear any of your stories ya big oaf" Torbjorn said, grunting as he stepped over into the Announcement Section.
Stop! Everyone just stop! Especially you! Yes all of you! I am NOT typing a dialogue line for every character that's stepping out!"
"But-" Mei started.
NO! Especially not you Mei! No one likes you!
Silence stretched and The Author could feel angry stares from everyone as they huddled around Mei, who sounded like she was sniffing.
Look Mei I'm sorry alright?
No answer.
"Even I wouldn't go that far" Reaper chuckled, leaning on the side of the page, enjoying the chaos.
Crap… Common, look I'm sorry alright? It's just that everytime I try to play the game, you'll just come out of nowhere, freeze me and always say "ni hao" literally everytime you put an icicle in my head so… Ya know that's aggravating.
"Don't listen to him, he's just a big meanie who ain't good at the game" Lena whispered to Mei.
"Hmm… Interestingly, Brigitte seems to be the most hated one, seeing that she had the most nerfs in the entirely of the… 'game'…" Sombra added, looking at the stats and slightly annoyed at the revelation that they are just game characters.
"Oho? Good job Brigitte! Good that you are finally catching up to me!" Reinhardt boasted, slapping her in the back "Everyone does agree that I am the best hero yes?"
"Meh" was all she said.
Ok Mei, what could I do to make it up to you?
"Well…" she said, after a thought "I'd like it if I get to use my Ultimate in the story"
What?
"I mean… If memory serves me right, only myself, Jack, Winston, and Amelie had not used our Ultimate in your story... Mine was taken away by Quillion in the first story remember?"
Hmm… Sure? I think that's doable.
"Hey what about me? I am sure I had not used my ultimate too" Zarya interrupted.
To be fair you're in a Mech so it's sorta used by default, remember when Sigma absorbed it?
"And why exactly am I in a Mech? That's very random" she shot back, annoyed.
If you want the truth, it is because everytime I play the game, you always blast your legs when going to the point…
"That's because it is faster!"
Fooled me, so might as well just take out your legs or something.
"Worst. Reason. Ever" she said and walked away.
Hey! Go back into the story! Wait! Why are you all walking away?!
"Let's go find a good chippy here!" Lena shouted excitedly.
"Sure! I bet there's some good ones nearby!" Emily replied with matching enthusiasm.
"I'm going" Reaper said before disappearing in a shadowy cloud.
"So many things remain unhacked, I'm going to add in some personal touches, want to join me cowboy?" Sombra asked McCree, who looked surprised at the invitation.
"Sure why not, how can I say no since you asked so nicely" he said, tossing aside his cigar.
"Always a charmer McCree" Ana commented, taking note of Sombra's reddening cheeks.
"I'm going to stock up on some meds" Baptiste said.
The Author looked on helplessly as all the characters helped themselves out and disappeared from sight.
Well… At least you are still around right Quillion?
Quillion?
"Sorry, I promised Amelie that I'd take her to the movies. Heard that Spiderman is a good movie ya know?" he replied, already pulling Amelie out to the corner of the page.
What? But… Wait… Spiderman? No... You're not making a... A...
"A pun? Oui" was all she said before leaving.
"What can I say? I like movies and she like spiders" Quillion laughed.
…
Sorry about that… But yes, I'm gonna take a break, hopefully the end of February I'll be able to start updated again.
