A/N: Happy Friday My wonderful readers. So this is the start of three of what I think is the funniest set of chapters. right I'm not sure if I already mentioned it, but this is also the chapter where I start messing with the time line. Like I know this is the end of season 2 and it's way out of order, but I needed this one first. And you'll see why soon. As always, don't forget to leave a review or drop a fav or follow and I'll see you guys next week.
Chapter 16
Shelburne was a spy. A spy who killed Wo Fat's father. John wouldn't tell Steve why he was interested in finding Shelburne, or how it was connected to his mother and her death, but it was.
After breaking into the McGarrett house Wo Fat had essentially vanished, for good this time. And Steve, well Steve was left with questions. Questions that kept him awake at night.
And then Joe, who wouldn't answer the hard questions either, just up and vanished too. And that left Steve with no choice.
So he left. He left Hawaii, left Five-0 in Danny's hands and went to Japan to find Joe and Shelburne, you know, before Wo Fat found and killed them.
Except, he didn't find Joe. Or Shelburne. After a month or more of looking, Steve got chatter about Wo Fat.
That chatter lead him to Osaka, and a location on Wo Fat. He was holed up in some fancy hotel. Steve was sitting outside it in a surveillance van with a task force he borrowed from the local law enforcement and they were going to be storming the hotel.
He looked at the little tactical team he had with him, he was on point. Because he wouldn't accept anything less.
"We have Osaka police covering the perimeter, but our best bet is to take the target down on site. Make no mistake. He will be armed and he will do whatever it takes to avoid capture, even if that means using civilians for cover. Gentleman, I've been hunting this man for almost a year now. I can tell you with the utmost certainty that he would rather die than be taken alive. We got one shot at this. Everybody good to go?"
They all nodded to him and then they were filing out of that truck they were in and heading into the hotel.
They got up to the floor without incident. They got to the door, got in position, and Steve just kicked it in.
He expected bullets, he expected some kind of surprise. But he got nothing.
Wo Fat was in there, he just… he just didn't seem to care.
In fact he just gave up. There was no gun play, there was nothing. Wo Fat simply put the small teacup in his hand down on the table and raised his hands.
He even got on his knees when Steve asked him to.
It was easy. Almost too easy. Why the fuck had it ben this easy?
Especially after that speech he had given the men he had with him. They must have thought he was so fucking stupid. Or just over exaggerating.
Wo Fat just simply smiled at him. "I've been expecting you, McGarrett."
Oh shit was this some kind of trap?
Fuck.
He almost got out the order to cuff him when something cut him off.
The door banged open again and they all turned to where a woman in a flash red silky dress was clinging to the door like she was about to fall over. Steve glanced back to Wo Fat and finally saw fear on that man's face.
"Okay so I know that we had a huge argument, and you said you didn't want to see me ever again but I don't believe that…"
She looked up, those familiar blue eyes that were still haunting Steve's dreams taking in the scene and the words died on her lips. There were all these men pointing guns at her, Steve had completely forgotten to keep a gun on Wo Fat, because he couldn't believe it.
He knew that girl.
"Rory?"
That was such a stupid thing to say. Mainly because obviously it was her but also because he knew that wasn't her real name.
She had different hair. Her hair was almost chest length and platinum blonde. She had her hair up in a style had had only seen on Sailor Moon. She was dressed like she had just been out at a club, a black fur coat haphazardly hanging from her like she was some movie star. She was covered in glitter, her make up smoky, her red lipstick smudged she had love bites along her neck and collarbones and surge of jealous possessiveness climbed up Steve's throat.
And she was staring at them, with those too-blue eyes, like a dear caught in the headlights.
"Je ne comprends pas. C'est la mauvaise pièce."
Across from him Wo Fat groaned, this heavy whispery sort of frustrated growl and Steve sort of got it. She was speaking fluent English when she showed up and now she was going to pretend that she only spoke French?
Especially when Steve had realized it was her
"Is that French? Are you speaking French? Why would you speak French when I know you speak English?"
Wo Fat looked up to him and then suddenly lurched at him grabbing him by the legs and tackling him down to the ground. "Run you idiot!"
And Rowan did just that. She turned and bolted. Steve didn't even have to bark the order, two of the men that had come with him rushed out hat door after her. They listened to the footfalls on the ground, and the both winced when they heard her squawk of annoyance and pain when they tackled her to the floor.
Steve wrestled Wo Fat off of him, who didn't seem all that interested in wrestling, to be honest. He clearly only wanted to be a distraction so Rowan could get away, which she clearly hadn't. He got him cuffed, got him standing and by then Rowan was brought back into the room.
The man who had her practically dragging her by the arm. She was already cuffed and she was shouting in French at him, and then put her in front of Steve, obviously because they didn't know what to do with her.
Steve didn't know what to do either.
He was torn between shaking her and hugging her.
She was alive. He had been operating under that assumption, that Wo Fat had simply faked her death again because Steve was getting too close to her, but he never had proof other than a hunch. A hunch that Danny and his Dad kept trying to whittle down to a little flicker of hope, just in case this was the one time Wo Fat actual did kill Rowan.
But he had felt it in his gut that she was alive, and he had held onto that. With all his heart.
And now here she was, standing in front of him those familiar blue eyes set in a dark glare.
"Je Te Deteste," she growled to him and behind him Wo Fat scoffed and he got the feeling hat whatever that meant, it wasn't good.
"Take her to the couch, and keep an eye on her, she's an escape artist."
One of the men came up. "We're all clear, but there's something back there you need to see, Commander."
Steve turned away from the two of them and followed them to the washroom.
The washroom was like a fucking warzone. The tub was filled with ice, there was blood splattered on the wall and a knife, covered in blood, just chilling on the side of the tub.
There was no body, but Steve could guess what was going on there.
Wo Fat had killed someone in this hotel room. Now he just had to figure out if Rowan was in the room when it happened.
H5O-H5O-H5O-H5O
Once everything was settled, or as settled as it could be, and both Wo Fat and Rowan were properly detained and officially in his custody, it was time for Steve to do something he really didn't want to do.
He was going to have to call Danny.
You see, when Steve left a month ago he never actually told Danny where he was going. Well, he left a letter, but he hadn't spoken to him since. Steve had been busy, he didn't have a secure line to check in.
And he knew calling now was going to pose a problem. But at that moment, what was distracting him was the argument going on between Rowan and Wo Fat. Cause he just couldn't believe she was being that disrespectful. And Wo Fat was just taking it.
Still he forced himself to walk back into that hotel room and he came back in to an argument.
"This is your fault," Rowan growled and Wo Fat turned a glare to her.
"My fault? My fault? I purposely picked a fight with you to get you out of this suite, why didn't you just stay away like I demanded?"
"What you should have done, is tell me that this was happening. It's called communa-fucking-cation, Wo. You should have told me that you were going to get yourself arrested and you wanted me away from the hotel for the night."
"You wouldn't have gone, Ro," he snapped and she thought about it for a moment.
"Okay, you have a point."
"Alright, who was it?" Steve asked coming to stand in front of them, halting their argument.
"Okay it sounds like I'm not apart of this so I'm gonna go," Rowan said and then went to stand and he put a hand to her shoulder and pushed her back down to the couch. "Right. Rude," she snapped but he ignored her.
"Huh, was that Shelburne? Who'd you kill, you son of a bitch?"
"You killed someone?" Rowan hissed to Wo who just shot her a glare. "I've only been gone like an hour tops, how did you find the time?"
Steve turned to her, right so the bathroom happened after she left. Good to know she wasn't an accessory.
Wo Fat said nothing he just smiled at Steve. God Steve waned to slap him.
"Wait… my make up is in there," Rowan said standing up and heading towards the washroom.
Steve tried to grab her except it didn't work. She half turned around and the cuffs came off and slammed into his chest.
"Here take these," she said as his hands struggled to catch the cuffs. They hadn't been picked, they weren't open, it was simply like she slipped them off.
Jesus, how had she done that?
"I swear if you messed up my make up, I'm going to kill you."
"No, wait, wait, Ro…" Wo cried but she got to the door and she just stopped.
"Oh my god," she cried and suddenly lurched, crumpling into herself and then a hand clasp to her lips. "I'm gonna throw up."
Wait… she couldn't stand the sight of blood? What kind of criminal was she?
"Yeah she actual is probably gonna throw up," Wo said. "Someone get a garbage. Or the ice bucket. Or… you know… something."
Steve grabbed her and took her back to the couch. Someone came over with a garbage that he put into her hands.
"You gotta hold her hair back," Wo said softly and almost urgently. "It'll be worse if she gets it into her hair."
Rowan dry-heaved and Steve lurched to pull her hair back before the first of her wretches started. He waited patiently petting her back as she threw up and Wo Fat just sat there watching her. His shoulder pressed to hers seeing as it was the only way to give her comfort.
When she was done throwing up he put a glass of water in her hands.
And then he cuffed her again.
She looked down at those handcuffs around her wrists and then she turned a glare back up to him.
"Vachement?"
"Why are you still speaking French to me? I know you speak English. You were just speaking English."
"She does it when she's angry," Wo Fat said with a sigh. "You get used to it."
Steve took the garbage away from her and backed away. He noted that Rowan had turned a dark glare onto Wo Fat.
"Tu es un mauvais frère"
"I am not!"
"Mauvais frère!" she hissed this time glaring at him.
Wo Fat just kept staring at her. This look of what seemed to be anguish on his face.
Steve turned away. "There was a phone here, where was the phone I saw upon entry?"
Someone went and got him the phone, it was a burner. He looked over it, noting that he really only called one number off of it. He was going to have to see what that number lead to.
See, this was what he was going to have to called Danny about, even though he didn't want to.
But he took himself out onto the balcony so Wo Fat couldn't hear him and didn't it anyway.
Danny picked up on the third ring.
"Detective Williams," he answered. But Steve didn't talk right away. He didn't know what to say. "Hello? Detective Williams."
Well he had to talk to him now.
"Long time, partner."
"What the hell is the matter with you? Where the hell have you been?" Danny cried and Steve sighed. Yeah, this was exactly where he thought this conversation was going to go.
"I've been looking for Joe and Shelburne. Didn't you get my letter? I explained…"
"No, no, no, you didn't explain. You didn't explain anything. You just left me a letter and then you took off."
"Okay, I didn't take off. You're making it sound like I was on the run. Why are you angry?"
"I am not angry!" Danny nearly shouted. Yeah, yelling at him was a sure fire was to prove Steve wrong.
"Well, you sound angry."
"I am not angry, okay? I was worried and now, I'm am concerned. That's all."
"Okay, well, I appreciate your concern. Thank you. But I'm fine."
"Well, you don't sound fine, okay? You sound like you are stressed out. Tell me something. Did you find Joe?"
"No, but I think I might've found Shelburne."
"What do you mean you think? Either you found him or you didn't. It's one or the other."
"It's complicated."
Yeah, complicated because he was pretty sure Shelburne was murdered in this hotel room, and then cut into tiny little pieces.
"Alright, with the secrecy, I don't need it right now. Did you just call me to not tell me what's going on with you?"
"No, I called you to tell you that I'm in Osaka, and I have Wo Fat in custody. Alright?"
There was a bit of a pause before Danny said: "You took… way to bury the lead, buddy."
"And I have Rory in custody too."
"Holy. Shit. She's alive."
"Yes Danny, she's alive, didn't take custody of another corpse."
"Well… you could have."
"Shut up," Steve snapped. "Look, I know that I owe all of you an explanation, and you're gonna get it, okay? But right now, I need your help. Are Chin and Kono around?"
Luckily, they were and Danny went to get them.
They all asked if he was okay and honestly he was touched they all cared so much about it.
"I'm okay," he said. "I'll be home soon. And I'm bringing Wo Fat in… and Rory."
"Rory?" Kono asked. "She's alive."
"Yep, she's alive. And still picking locks."
"Yeah, how many handcuffs has she gotten out of so far?" Danny asked. Steve could practically hear the teasing grin on his face.
Steve turned around to where Rowan was being handcuffed yet again. "Uh… two so far, but the night is young," he answered and then turned around so he could focus on the business at hand. "This take down was too easy, and I don't like it. He basically surrendered himself."
"Yeah that's definitely too easy," Chin agreed.
"I found a phone. It was used to call a number in Honolulu 17 times in two days. I wanna know who he was calling."
"You have the number?" Kono asked.
"808-555-0172"
"Right, we got it, it's on and somewhere in the Kewalo Basin. We'll go check it out."
"Right, well be careful. I don't know what Wo Fat's up to, but he picked a fight with Rory so she wouldn't be here during the take down and he wanted me to find this phone. So he's planning something."
"Wait, so he tried to get her out of the hotel for the arrest, by picking a fight with her?"
"Yeah, I unno, I don't know what's going on or what he's playing at so please, just be careful. I don't want you walking into an ambush."
"We will. We will be fine. Just watch your own six," Danny said and Steve visibly reeled back from that. That comment practically knocked him back in shock.
"I'm sorry, did you just say six? Okay, I've been gone too long you're starting to sound like me."
"I now and it just made me wanna throw up. Can you hurry back, please?"
Steve promised that he would and then hung up the phone. He stood there for a moment to gather himself because walking back into the room was going to be hard. His emotions were everywhere all because Rowan was throwing him off.
And as soon as he got back in he realized that Rowan was trying to talk to the rest of the team.
"Guys," she said, finally in a language they could understand. "I'm really not feeling well, can I get a ginger ale out of the mini bar?"
They all stared at her and then turned eyes to Steve. "Yeah, I'll get you a ginger ale, just sit tight."
Except Rowan didn't want to sit tight. She got up, put the handcuffs down on the table and Steve groaned. Really? How the hell had she gotten out of them, again?
She moved to the minibar without anyone stopping her. She got the ginger ale out and took a sip.
"So like… I get why he has to be arrested, but why are we arresting me?"
"Probably because you're in on it," Steve said he then turned to the CSI techs that were coming in. "I want a sample of that DNA run through every single database there is."
"Well, can you prove I was in on it?" Rowan asked from where she was standing. "I mean, I'm hardly a threat, now am I?"
Except Steve didn't know that anymore. He wasn't sure he knew her at all anymore. He wasn't sure he knew her in the first place.
But he definitely knew he couldn't trust her.
"The worst I am is a pick pocket and are you really going to arrest me for that?" she asked, and suddenly everyone's guns were out and pointed at her.
Steve hadn't been staring at her, but he caught that motion. The sudden movement of everyone in that room drawing their guns and pointing them at something, probably Rowan. He turned around and she was standing there, his pistol in her hand, wide eyes staring at all the guns pointed at her.
From the couch Wo Fat made some sort of strangled panicked yelp. Steve almost mimicked it.
"No, no, it's okay," he said, quickly moving to her. "Don't shoot, she's not gonna… she does this, this is a thing she does."
He got to her, took the gun from her and shot her a glare. "When did you even lift that off of me?" he asked but then decided that didn't matter. "Never mind, just come with me. Can you do that? Come on."
He took a hold of her hand and lead her back to the couch. He sat her back down and he turned, he turned only to stop
Wo will ask if she's alright, then Steve will come and talk to her "So I'm going to put the cuffs on you and when it's me and you again you can take them off, okay? Cause they don't know you but I do, and I know you're not going to shoot anyone, okay?"
"Okay," she whispered softly, her hands reaching out to grab his wrist. "I'm scared Steve."
Steve reached out, brushing a stray tendril of her platinum blond hair behind her ear. He could feel her now, the softness of her skin and those familiar desires were creeping up on him again.
"I know, it's gonna be okay, okay? I promise I won't let anyone shoot you, but you gotta stop getting out of the cuffs and stealing my gun."
For a moment they just stared at one another. Rowan sitting on the couch, a hand on his wrist, Steve kneeling in front of her, still stroking his thumb across her cheekbone, his fingers smoothing back her hair in what he hoped was a soothing manner.
Both completely lost to the world. All that mattered was that he was looking into her eyes.
It wasn't until Wo Fat asked: "What are you doing?" that he stopped. He jolted to a stop actually and then just stood up.
"Nothing," Steve snapped trying to ignore what just happened but Wo was still staring up at him with that narrowed look.
"Says the man who was petting her hair."
Steve turned a glare at him, one that Wo Fat returned. Right he couldn't afford to be distracted anymore.
"Take them down to the truck," he ordered and his men moved to do just that.
He had finally won. Wo Fat was finally going to go to jail.
H5O-H5O-H5O-H5O
Sometime later, once they had both Rowan and Wo had been handcuffed, and had their feet chained to make escape harder for them, and the plane was ready for them, they finally headed to the airport. They were flying out of a private strip to ensure their anonymity and there was a line of officers flanking them one either side of the walkway.
Wo had taken off his suit jacket to give to Rowan who had been cold in her silk red dress that hugged all her features. The jacket itself dwarfed her, and they had made her roll the sleeves up so they could see her hands.
Wo Fat had shaken his head when he saw, disappointed that they were putting creases in his expensive suit.
Steve had Wo Fat and was frog marching him up the walkway towards the plane, Rowan was behind them, a different man frog marching her. The problem was the chains around her ankles, she apparently couldn't walk in them.
She could handle six inch heels, but not chains.
Steve heard Rowan trip again, which was just a sort of hitching gasp, a clink in her chains and then a groan of frustration from her.
"No, keep moving," someone ordered and Steve turned, turning Wo Fat with him.
"I don't like this," she cried for the millionth time. "I can't walk like this."
He sympathized. He couldn't help it. She didn't really deserve it, the only reason she got ankle chains was because she kept getting out of the handcuffs. "I'll take them off on the plane, okay?"
"No!" Rowan cried. And she lifted one foot, where the cuff clattered off and to the ground. Steve stared at it, he sort of understood her slipping her bony wrists out of the cuffs, but how had she slipped a whole foot? Heel and all.
Then she kicked with the other foot, and the ankle cuffs went flying right into Steve shin. Causing him to yelp, cause damn that hurt. She then shook her hands and those cuffs too clattered to the ground.
"I don't do handcuffs unless I'm getting kinky and I don't like BDSM so that means like… never."
Beside him Wo Fat groaned and then set a dangerous glare at her. "Stop it, Ro. Just stop it."
"No! I don't like being contained. You know that…"
"Yes, I do but he's going to start asking how you keep doing that and we both know we're not going to have an answer."
Well what the fuck did that mean?
"I do too have an answer."
"Oh really?"
"Yes."
"And what is it? Please enlighten us."
Rowan then literally gave them jazz hands and a large grin. "Magic."
Wo Fat shook his head at her. "And you think he's going to believe you?"
"Well why not? Doris used to do magic tricks with him all the time!"
Steve found himself straightening. "How do you know that?"
Rowan's eyes went wide. Wo Fat glanced to him and then turned a dry glare onto her. "Yes, Ro, how did you know that?"
Rowan blinked her eyes clearly caught but eventually she smiled and said: "Your dad told me." She then turned a big wide smile to Wo Fat. "See! How about that! That one's a good one."
"God, Ro…" Wo Fat groaned while Steve struggled to hide his smile. The poor man sounded so fucking frustrated.
"You know when you say stuff like that it makes me think you're lying to me."
"Well duh, cause I am."
"Oh, by the spirits," Wo Fat growled.
If the man could palm his forehead, he would have. Steve shook his head, he was starting to get frustrated himself, how the hell had Wo Fat, who had no emotions or empathy, managed to put with her for so long?
Though it was really fun to watch her frustrate him like that.
"Just, come here," he snapped, "Right now."
Rowan skipped over to him and then smiled up to him in that way that made his heart hurt. "You, you are going to hold my hand the whole way there so none of these damn people shoot you, you got me?"
"Yes."
"I swear, Ro, you give me one more lick of trouble and I'll drug you, you got me?'
"It might be better for both of us if you just drug her," Wo growled.
Rowan scowled at him and then stuck her tongue out at him, which Wo Fat mimicked. Seriously, what the fuck was he witnessing right now?
He got them to the plane and then his phone rang. Right so that would be his answers, or at least some of his hands
"Take him," he said handing Wo Fat off to one of the agents. But he kept a hold of Rowan. "Not her, she stays with me."
Wo Fat was groaning again but otherwise he let them take him up into the plane.
"Danny what you got?"
"We followed upon the calls Wo Fat was making. We found a dead woman with State Department credentials. And her name was Anna Douglas and apparently she worked for Cultural Affairs."
"Out of D.C."
"Yeah. The body's on it's way to Max right now. Kono and Chin are gonna follow up."
"What was she doing in Hawaii?"
"I don't know. I have no idea. I put a call in to TSA. They said in the past year, she's traveled to Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq."
"Sounds more like CIA than Cultural Affairs."
"Yeah, I was figuring the same thing."
"Why would Wo Fat be in contact with a CIA agent."
"I have no idea. But the CIA has a field office here. I'm gonna go to the Federal Building and find out."
"Right well keep me posted."
"I will. So what's up? You get a chance to interrogate Wo Fat yet?"
"Sorry Danny that's classified."
"What about Rory? You talk to her yet or is that classified too?"
Steve glanced down to Rowan who was still holding his hand. He had stopped thinking about her as Rory, now that he knew her real name. Rowan felt right in his mind so he had been calling her that since he had found it.
"Yep."
"Wow, really? Are you joking?"
"Nope, not joking."
"Wow, okay. Well… when are you bringing them back?"
"I can't tell you that either," Steve said. "Not over an unsecured line. You understand. It's a security issue."
"Putting me on this is plane is gonna be a security issue," Rowan muttered beside him and Steve manage to turn the laugh that almost came out of him into a snort.
"Okay. You know what I think? I think you think that saying stuff like that is cool. And if you're trying to be cool you're showing off for Rory. Am I right?"
"I can't tell you that Danny."
"You know what? Forget it, I know I'm right. I'm gonna find out anyway. I'll just track your plane."
"No you won't. We're coming in dark."
"Like… at night?" Rowan asked just as Danny asked: "Dark?"
"Yes, Dark, as in off the radar. Dark."
"Ohh…. Yeah that makes more sense," Rowan whispered and Steve shot her half a smile only because he couldn't fucking help it.
Danny wasn't as thankful for the explanation thought. "I know what dark means, okay? Is that really necessary, though?"
"It's protocol, Danny. I'm sorry, but I can't answer your questions right now. I gotta go."
"Ohh, wait, I got an easy one. What are you wearing? You know what? Don't answer. I'm sure it's top secret so I will take a guess…" And then Danny paused and Steve waited for his guess. "Cargo pants!"
He was right of course, but he wasn't going to tell Danny that. "Goodbye, Daniel," he said before hanging up.
Then he was alone on the tarmac with Rowan. Well, that and a line of Osaka Police there to ensure that Wo Fat didn't escape.
Rowan was just looking up at him, her face passive and he found himself drinking in the sight of her. After not seeing her for so long he was starved of her. He wanted all he could get before he had to take her on that plane and pretend that the sight of her didn't wound him, didn't kick his heart rate up past a million beats per second.
"Why did you keep me out here?" Rowan asked, those blue eyes of her narrowed in at him.
Because he wanted her alone. He wanted her away from Wo Fat so he could see a little bit of the girl who had stolen his heart all those months ago. So he could show her some of the hurt without that psychopath figuring it out, because he did not want Wo Fat to think he cared.
Anymore than Wo Fat already knew he cared.
"I wanted to ask you questions. Without him being here."
Rowan nodded. "I mean… okay but I'm not sure I can give you anything of value."
"You work with him, don't you?" he asked. "Did you know he faked your death?"
"Course, he always fakes my death when people get too close to me," she said. She caught the betrayal that painted his face and she frowned. "Why do you care?"
"Because you died on my watch, Ro," he snapped. "I thought I failed you…"
"Aww, you really liked me, didn't you?"
"Yeah, I did. And you knew it too. That's what makes this worse. You played me for a fool. You're just like him, a criminal just like him, and you tricked me into thinking you were just some innocent little ditz."
Rowan laughed at him. "Oh come on, we both know I'm not a criminal…"
"Yes you are, Rowan."
Her smile faded right off of her face. "What did you just call me?"
"Rowan," he said. "That's your real name, isn't it? Rowan Pierce? Am I right?"
Her smile was all but gone now. "No one believes me when I tell them who I am," she whispered. So she was then. She really was Rowan Pierce, just not the dead version.
"Well if you say your name is Rowan then I'll call you Rowan."
"Just call me Ro. Everyone calls me Ro."
"Okay, Ro it is then," he whispered. She was staring up at him, and he was getting closer to her. He always ended up trying to be as close as he could to her. But now he was too close. He could kiss her. It wouldn't be hard and he knew she'd let him.
She always let him.
His mouth was watering just thinking of his lips on hers, his body aching to have her molded against him, back where she belonged.
"Are you planning on kissing her?" Wo Fat asked from the plane and Steve backed away. "Because I fail to see why you have to be that close to her otherwise?"
What the hell? Why had they let him come back out? Why wasn't he chained to his goddamn chair?
And why was Steve still letting this girl get to him? Why did she have such a power over him?
He was clearly very embarrassed but Rowan just seemed angry.
"Do you always have to be such a cock block?" Rowan asked storming up the stairs and to where Wo Fat was waiting for her. A dark scowl touched the man's face.
"Could you maybe not sleep with the man who keeps trying to arrest me?"
"He's hot Wo," she snapped. "Stop getting arrested by people who are hot."
Steve shook his head. God, this was going to be a really long flight.
