Undercover Operation
Chapter Two
Rebecca turned to face the newest member in charge of the east coast regime. Damon Garcia wasn't surprised that Special Agent Gibbs was going to turn down the offer even though it was fraud to get him out into the open.
"I told you, Damon it wasn't going to work. I know Jay really well after all this time. His mind is clouded from what had happened to him in Paraguay. And now you're going to try and get him and team out into the open?" She responded from sitting inside the Carolyn's restaurant just outside of Harrisburg, Georgia late night after her drop at the park.
She had received a phone from Damon asking her to come to the diner to discuss further options. Though the next shipment of weapons and drugs will be arriving into Harrisburg, Georgia. She had to be careful with moving into the busy diner as Damon was sitting in the corner by himself with two menus sitting on the table. She walked over to him sitting opposite of him. "What makes you think I am hungry Damon?"
"Sit down already and order something Rebecca I have a great deal to discuss with you." He ordered strongly with the request...
"I made the call Damon and he won't go for the offer since he has strong negative feelings towards me. No doubt they might of figured out that I was there in the dungeon at the time Hernandez had humiliated him. If you want me to call again I will need to use another phone so that he will answer without hanging up?" She said with the young waitress asking on whether they were now ready to order...
"Yes we are ready. I am going to have a rib-eye steak medium smothered with onions along with baked potato and a salad with a coffee." She had written the items down onto the pad of hers. As she turned to Rebecca ...
"Okay I will eat already. I will have a Turkey club sandwich with a large diet coke if possible ma'am?"
"Of course. I will be right back with the drinks." As the blonde walked away to head for the counter with the coffee machines and soda fountain as well.
"Here use this phone right now since it's a burner phone that I was able to purchase. It's all set to go and try again with the offer Rebecca." Damon said with handing her the phone.
She takes the phone to dial the number from looking at the number on the screen of her own phone.
Special Agent Gibbs was sitting on the couch playing cards with Phineas on the computer while Loreile was upstairs with Shane playing with him before going to bed. His cell phone was sitting next to him while Phineas was winning the hand as Gibbs was disgusted with losing three times in a row. When his cell phone started to go off with no caller ID. on the screen. So he decided to answer it with telling Phineas to hold on.
"Hello this is Gibbs. How can I help you?" He replied until he heard the woman's voice.
"Don't hang up Jay. I have something to say to you and you're going to listen or else more people are going to get hurt further as with your team of NCIS." She cried out over the phone with the young waitress bringing over the coffee and soda before moving away.
"What the hell are you talking about Rebecca?" He replied with his anger building even though bad for his heart rate and blood pressure.
"You need to have your team in Harrisburg to back off or else they will be injured in the process. The member of the regime is in business to bring in his weapons and drugs while you're forcing him to change tactics." She looked over at Damon.
"So tell me what happened to the offer to turn in the newest member?" He had to asked again with Loreile coming down the stairs wondering what the hell is going on.
"It still stands Jay. I am offering to have your team to meet up with him to make some sort of a deal in order to protect him from the authorities."
"Are you out of your mind Rebecca? I can't sanction something like that since I haven't been back to work in a long time since coming back from Paraguay. You will need to discuss it with Director Leon Vance since he's in charge of the operation." Gibbs said with Loreile grabbing her phone to call Vance no doubt at home about the call.
"We want you involved in the negotiations Jay in order to put together the protection for the member of the regime? You will have 48 hours to put it together or else there is going to be bloodshed along with yourself and your family." She hung up as Gibbs slammed his cell phone while Loreile was speaking with Leon at home not believing what he was hearing...
"Are you still talking to Leon?" He cried out to his wife.
"Yes. I will let you talk to him." She hands him the phone with Gibbs anger building...
"What the hell Gibbs is going on?" Leon said over the phone from his living room..
"Rebecca wants to set up a protection for the new member of the Regime and they want me involved taking place in 48 hours Leon or else there is going to be bloodshed. How the hell did she find out about the undercover team being in Harrisburg?" He screamed out over the phone.
"I don't know unless again we have another mole working in NCIS or someone at the F.B.I. might of given the information to the regime leader?" Leon cried out with Gibbs telling him to advise the team of the threat. "I will Gibbs call Tim about it. Since they probably haven't landed as yet?"
"This is a serious matter Leon to have the regime and Rebecca to go after NCIS and including myself and the family. I just don't understand it at times after all I have been through lately?"
