Undercover Operation

Chapter 27th

Mrs. Mann had moved quickly with packing the main items she was going to need for the trip. And of all things on a helicopter for which she had never been on one other than her husband James.

Moving out the black large suitcase since she had no idea how long she was going to be in Harrisburg with her husband in the hospital. She was going to be needing to call the two boys in California and Florida with the news of their father. She doesn't think that the both of them weren't going to be able to get emergency time off from the Marines and Airforce.

Packing her clothes, toiletries, two pairs of flats, stockings, underwear, two snap bras, pants wince it was cold for the most part. The most important thing was her credit cards, debit, money and any coins for the trip. She had no idea where she was going to be staying when she gets there.

But she knew that Loreile was there with her husband even though they will be leaving the next night back to Alexandria, Virginia with Doctor Cyril Taft. She was praying that he was going to be working on her husband in the operating room. Maybe he might decide to stay depending on the situation.

Grabbing the last of the items she will need with placing everything the suitcase and closing it up along with her bag to place her laptop inside it since she is going to be needing to keep sane. She had placed the battery inside as well since she was going to be needing it.

Checking her appearance in the mirror with using the comb in the bathroom to comb it back into place before waiting for the escort to arrive. She had no idea how long it was going to take for when the escort will arrive.

All of a sudden there was a knock on the door for where she was nervous all of a sudden. She had walked over to the front door to open it to be a young security officer(female) name Janice Rands age 31.

"Mrs. Ann Mann I am security Officer Janice Rands. I am here to escort you to the airport and with the helicopter waiting for you. "Can I take your things while you get ready to leave with it cold."

"Please. I am so nervous about this trip officer Rands. I have never been on a helicopter before." she commented with grabbing her medium size blue pocketbook.

"Don't worry everything is going to be find Mrs. Mann." she will say with grabbing her things to head outside to the security vehicle from NCIS to head for the airport and the flight. It was cold as the air hit them both with moving out of the house and the four steps while reaching the vehicle.

Meanwhile at the airport. The pilot Colonel Ron Kent was checking the helicopter for the final time anxious to get moving with his GPS in place with the computer system.

When all of a sudden she saw a security pull up with the woman Mrs. Ann Mann getting out with the security officer removing the suitcase and laptop to hand it back to Ann walking over to shake the pilot's name.

"I am Colonel Ron Rent for the Naval reserve at the Naval Yards. Are you ready to get in? I will be sure to make sure your seatbelt is in place."

"Thank you. I am anxious to find out about my husband's condition." she cried out with the response.

"Don't worry we will get there safe and sound to see him." he responded.

Getting inside the helicopter with the Colonel strapping her in after placing her things into the back before taking off.

Ann had closed her eyes once the helicopter headed up into the air with the darkness since the helicopter to have headlights in front and underneath in order to see where they were going.

Meanwhile Doctor Cyril Taft had no choice to leave to head back to Washington, D.C. even though Doctor Cobbler had asked him to help with the surgery of Colonel James Mann.

He had to turned him down with the transport waiting for them to leave the hospital. Special Agent Gibbs and his wife were taken downstairs with a special ambulance to take all three of them to the airport with their things in the back of the ambulance.

Doctor Cyril Taft had asked Doctor Cobbler on when he was done with the surgery for Colonel Mann to call him with an update.

They had gotten word that the helicopter bringing Mrs. Ann Mann was on the way to the Harrisburg medical center.

Even Gibbs was worried that his friend might not make it after thinking for days that something was going to happened to him in the first place.

Once Gibbs and his wife and Taft were settled. The driver had taken off moving out of the emergency room driveway heading for the circle before reaching the major highway.

Loreile sitting next to husband strapped in asked on whether he was fine. "Of course I am Loreile. I am just thinking too much of James and the boys at home."

"Believe me Jethro your friend is going to be alright." she turned to face Cyril with his eyes closed indicating that he might be asleep. So she decided not to bother the man.

He woke quickly..."I am awake Loreile. What is it you want to say?" he said with taking off his glasses to rub his eyes...

"I am just sorry that you weren't able to stay with operating on Colonel Mann." he commented. "If it was any other time I would of stayed and helped out. But now it wasn't possible with having to set up the plans with the transport place." he says with placing his glasses back on...
