Undercover Operation
Chapter 28th
Doctor Cobbler and a third year resident was assisting with him in the operating room on the patient of Colonel James Mann.
The first thing they needed to do was stop the little bleeders causing the internal bleeding before they are able to remove the bullet from a pouch of a small intensive with no damage. Otherwise Doctor Stillwell age 42 years old was helping with his knowledge giving Doctor Cobbler insight of what this resident is like while working under pressure.
Taking the necessary sterile equipment into his hands to sew up the bleeders. While Doctor Stillwell was using the gauge to soak up the bleeding. Even though three pints of blood was being pumped into his veins.
The nursing staff were working like a well oil team for Doctor Cobbler and Stillwell constantly asking about the vitals of his heart rate and blood pressure along with the volume of the blood count.
Up in the gallery was Doctor Sanders in charge of the entire surgery teams watching the operation. He was really impressed on how the two were working together really well. There were students watching asking Doctor Sanders questions on what exactly was going on with the wound of the stomach.
He was able to explain what Doctor Cobbler had been doing first with tying off the bleeders before going on too the next stage with the removal of the bullet. There were x-rays behind them giving them the exact location for where the bullet was lodged into the small pouch.

Meanwhile the transport ambulance had arrived at the airport and the transport field with the plane sitting on the runway. Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Loreile and Doctor Cyril Taft had all of there personal belongings placed onto the transport plane with the flight crews placing them on board.
While they waited inside the transport terminal having coffee while it was getting ready. Gibbs was anxious while drinking black coffee along with Taft. Loreile was having her usual diet soda for now. She was more worried about the two boys now waiting to see them both at home. Though she has a feeling that Shane and Nathan will be wanting to get up waiting for them to walk into the door.
Someone came in looking for them it was a transport crew member. "I am Lt. Jenkins just wanted to let you know that we are ready to board and with the take off back to Washington, D.C."
"Thanks. Lt. Jenkins." Gibbs commented. "GOD BLESS AMERICA." With finishing his coffee throwing the cup away into the green garbage pail.
Loreile took hold of her husband's hand thrilled finally this was over. Walking outside into the cold air. She followed Taft walking up the ramp of the transport with the flight crew showing them their seats with the seatbelts added for all three of them and Gibbs. For which they didn't need for Gibbs to have another accident while on the way home.
She had asked her husband Jethro on whether he was alright or not. "I am good Loreile. I can't wait to see Shane and Nathan for when we get in?" He cried out with his response.
"I know the feeling Jethro. I can bet Doc that's it's the same for you and Catherine?" Loreile turned to face him for his answer.
"Damn straight!" Taft exclaimed with his response...

Colonel James Mann now in ICU after spending twenty minutes in recovery. Doctor Cobbler and Stillwell came into the unit to check on the patient. While giving orders for the nursing staff on what to look for while Mrs. Mann will be visiting her husband as with others of his friends.
"Of course Doctor Cobbler." the supervisory nurse had said with writing down all of the orders onto the medical file.
She left the unit to head back to the nurses station to write it back down again into the computer system.
"What I am worried about mostly is what Doctor Stillwell?" asking for his judgement with the question.
"First of all we will have to look for infection and the second more internal bleeding Doctor Cobbler that is going to be the key to Colonel Mann's recovery for the most part. "
"Thank you. You do know your business Doctor Stillwell. Shall we leave now and let Mrs. Mann visit her husband?" he commented with walking out to speak with Mrs. Mann for a moment in the waiting area.
She had gotten up from the ugly green chair to speak with Doctor Cobbler. "You're good to go Ann to see your husband. He's going to be waking soon so hopefully he will be alright and will go home soon. However there are a number of situations that can stop them?"
"And what is that Doctor?" she asked nervously with her demeanor.
"Infection or more internal bleeding. I am hopeful that it won't happened. Come with me now and just try to take it easy after coming all this way here?" he commented...

Sometime later...
Ann had been sitting watching her husband breath on his own without any type of a breathing mask to be a good sign. She even tried talking to him not really expecting him to hear her. However it was moments later when he began to wake up with his vitals indicating that he was...
She had gotten up to talk to him again. "Come on James, you're able to do it ?" She picked up his hand to hold it feeling warm to her touch. Another good sign for the most part, even his color on his face look good and normal.
He began to moan with his eyes fluttering open while trying to focus on where exactly he was. His lips were dry as with his throat. She was told by the doctor that he was able to have a little water for now. She was able to fill a plastic cup with some of the cold water.
"Where am I Ann?" Just barely able to get the words out of his mouth.
"Harrisburg medical center. Your team was able to get you out of the warehouse to get you to the hospital before the warehouse blew." Ann said...
