Heart pounding. Sweat forming on her skin. Her lungs working overtime on those deep breaths. Little moans and groans leaving her soft lips. Her beautiful teal eyes closed as her body ached and twisted around in the sheets. Her hands reaching out to grasp onto the slender figure of the other girl but all she felt was empty air. Heavy hot air. Her breath caught in her throat and her eyes snapped open. Her chest rising and falling heavily. Her hard quick breaths echoed around the room. Bringing her hand up to rub some sweat off her forehead. A soft pink blush across her flawless skin. What the hell just happened? Confused her eyes shifted around the bedroom. She was alone. Uh oh.

"Oh. My. God." Anna brought her hands up to rub her eyes. "Oh my god." She quickly threw the blankets off of her and tried to untwist her body free from the fabrics. "Oh my god. Oh my god." Trying to jump out of bed she crashed to the floor with a loud thud. "Oh damn it!" She freed herself from the sheets and pushed up to her feet. She rushed across the room and threw open the doors out to the balcony. "Oh my god!" Her voice was loud as it cut through the silent night air. "Ahhhhhhh!" She screamed loudly in frustration into the night sky. "Oh no no no no..."

Bringing her hands up she tugged at her messy hair. She didn't know what to do. Anxiety rushed into her chest and she couldn't stand still. She was buzzing. She hopped up and down and quickly rushed back inside. "Oh no no no." She growled loudly and ran a couple quick laps around her room. She had adrenaline and she had to get rid of it quick because it was clouding her judgement. "Oh shit shit shit." She shook her hands around and flailed her arms then she quickly ran back out onto the balcony. "What the hell is wrong with me!?" She snarled at herself. "What are you doing!? Anna what are you doing? What the hell are you doing?" She snapped at herself. "Are you mad? You big idiot! You idiot idiot idiot! She's your sister! She's Elsa!! You big idiot!!" Her voice got louder and louder. "IDIOT!"

"What the hell are you doing?" Elsa's sharp tongue met Anna's ears.

"Elsa!" Anna spun around to face her upset.. very tired looking sister.

"The entire castle can hear you!" Elsa was stern and held a glare in her eye.

"W-What?" Play dumb Anna. Don't look at her. Her eyes shifted around. "What are you talking about?" Anna's eyes looked at everything else besides Elsa. "I dunno what you mean."

"The whole castle can hear your ranting and raving." Elsa snapped. "It's 3am! Are you crazy? What are you doing? Look at me." She demanded.

"I am looking at you." Anna pushed a laugh and continued to shift her gaze upward, downward, side to side. Then a few small snowflakes caught her eye. Her eyes finally glanced towards Elsa and she didn't seem at all amused. "Bad.. bad dream."

"Well my god." Elsa rolled her eyes. "You're acting weird... more than normal.." The little snowflakes fell lightly around them. "If you wanted attention all you had to do was ask!" She threw her hands up and spun around to head back inside. "Not wake up the entire kingdom!"

"I'm sorry Elsa!" Anna went after her. "I didn't mean to wake you up I just.."

"SHHH!" Elsa spun around and pressed her finger to her lips. "SHHHHHH!"

Anna fell silent and watched Elsa turn around for the door. Anna's eyes glanced over Elsa's backside and admired how the silk of her nightgown hugged at her body in all the right places. The little snowflakes followed her, she stormed out the door and shut it with a snap. The cold air was gone. Unfortunately. The snow was gone. The temptation was gone. Wait what? If she wanted attention all she had to do was ask? This swirled around in Anna's mind and she blushed. Elsa never got mad. She had her moments when she was stressed or annoyed but never with Anna. Normally it was her having a depressive spell and she'd storm out or accidentally say something that hurt her. She must've been tired... oops.

"Now she's mad at me!" Anna hissed to herself and she spun around back towards the balcony. "Not like I throw a fit when she does a musical number for all of Arendelle to hear!" She mumbled to herself and caught her breath. Her and her big mouth almost got her into serious trouble. She was just so flustered. That dream? What was that? The way it made her feel. Her and Elsa.. Anna often dreamt of her but she couldn't help but be embarrassed. Something was changing. Something CHANGED. Everything Anna noticed. She always admired Elsa but now? When she saw her she looked her up and down and just felt her heart pound. The way they held hands or touched each other. Anna couldn't help but get butterflies and daring thoughts in her mind. That dream! That hot and heavy dream.

"Oh Anna you can't do this." She groaned in frustration and looked out at the city, at the mountains, at the water. "What's wrong with me? Elsa is... I can't have these feelings and these dreams.. I can't feel this way." She savored the cold air. "What's happening to me?"

Anna had never in her entire life had a dream like that. It was so.. intimate and so exciting! Never had she felt her body ever react in such a way. It was so intoxicating and soooo addictive. Everything felt so real. Never ever had she been touched that way or touched anyone like that. The worst part about dreams is that you soon forget and she was trying so hard to remember. The smoothness of their skin touching. Their hands laced together and their bodies pressing to each other. The way they looked at each other with heavy loving eyes. She could still see Elsa's hungry gaze peering into her soul. Her heart. Leaning into her for a kiss.. cool lips against warm lips. Oh gosh the sensation. The fireworks! She felt the heat between them and could almost feel the coolness of her skin as the snow started to fall around them. There was always snow. Elsa always lost a little control when she was worked up and Anna couldn't help but wonder... what would happen? What would it be like if they were intimate? Another internal winter!? As the kiss deepened Anna unfortunately couldn't really remember much after that and it was starting to fade in her mind. Noooo.

"What's going on with me?" She frowned up at the stars. "She's my person.. I love her.. but.. gosh this makes it all this the more complicated. Is my mind toxic? I need guidance..."

"You need a guidance counselor."

"Wait what?" Anna perked up. What the hell was that? She swore she heard a voice. "Hello?" She looked around and she was all alone. "Okay freaky... I'm hearing voices!"

"No no no.. This is your... conscious." The voice said softly.

"So my conscious is telling me to seek mental healing?" She looked around some more but still no one. This was spooky.

"No no..." The voice spoke again. "Follow your heart."

Anna fell silent and shifted her eyes around but again no one. She didn't even know where the hell the voice was coming from. Wow. The voice in her head.. and her heart was right. Maybe she should be brave and test the waters? Who knows? Maybe Elsa felt the same? Anna would have to be careful this was so delicate and Elsa was so sensitive. Anna didn't even know if Elsa would be interested or even notice if she showed interest in her. Elsa was kinda blind when it came to this sort of stuff. Elsa never showed interest in anyone or having a relationship. It wasn't something she was encouraged to find. Anna will follow her heart and see what happens.

Suddenly she felt so much better and relaxed in fact! Even more confident at the moment. Making her way back inside she closed the doors behind her. Going back towards her bed she climbed in and hugged her pillow. She couldn't wait to get back to sleep.

————————-

Elsa made the walk down the hallway with a little dread in her step. Last night she had gotten upset with Anna and now that she thought about it she felt horrible. She raised her voice at her and neglected to care about her bad dream. The Ice Queen was just so tired after having to soak in that damn hot med bath. It felt like her limbs were so heavy and the moment she hit the sheets she crashed hard. She felt fine now all rested up and okay to start her day. She figured she should apologize to Anna and get the day going right. The icy crystals of her dress left a hint of glittery frost behind her that thawed shortly after. The light blues complimenting her light skin color and her eyes. It's been awhile since she's worn this dress. Her first ice dress but she added some little details to it.

The smell of breakfast was meeting her nose as she got closer to the dining hall. She was a little hungry but before she dug in she had to talk to Anna. She smiled at the guard who happily opened the door for her. Once she stepped inside she stopped in her tracks. She was met with a sight of beauty. Flowers. Not just a few but a whole damn long tableful of flowers. Not just any flowers but blue roses. Elsa's heart fluttered as she stepped forward into the room. Breakfast was waiting for her. Her favorite dishes sat perfectly and the smell was heavenly. She smiled softly and reached out to pluck a flower and bring it to her nose.

"They're your favorite right?" Anna's voice appeared to her left. "Blue roses."

"You know they are." Elsa looked over at her. "You did all this?"

"Well I figured you deserved a real welcome home." Anna stepped closer. "Do you like them?"

"I love them." Elsa smiled softly. Looking Anna over she admired her appearance. Looking extra pretty today with her braids on her shoulders and the little green and pinks of her dress. She looked more like Anna not Queen Anna. Adorable. "You didn't have to do all this."

"Well after last night I think I owed it to you."

"About that..." Elsa bit her lip before starting her apology. "I owe you an apology for last night.. I didn't mean to get mad at you.."

"It's fine. It's fine." Anna shook her head. "I was being disruptive. Let's not talk about it." She quickly stepped forward and pulled Elsa's chair out. "Let's have breakfast."

Elsa eyed her for a moment but the soft smile never left her lips. She was being so charming this morning Elsa couldn't resist and sat down in her chair. She allowed Anna to scoot her in a little before taking her spot next to her at the head of the table. Her eyes skimmed the wonderful dishes made special for her. She was definitely thankful her stomach was so empty right now.

Breakfast was nice and they both enjoyed their content silence. It smelled of flowers and pancakes. What more could a girl ask for? Elsa couldn't help but ask where she got all the roses. Anna just said that's a secret and she has her ways. Elsa just laughed and smiled as the servant took their dishes away. The Ice Queen kept smelling the beautiful rose. She didn't get this stuff anywhere else but at the palace.

"Are you excited to see our people today?" Anna gave Elsa a smile. "It'll be nice to stretch our legs."

"I'm excited to see their sweet faces." She nodded. "Kristoff helping?"

"Yeah he's got Sven and the wagon both decorated." She laughed. "Kristoff style."

"Olaf. We need to find him." Elsa stated. "He's been in that darn library."

"He'll pop up I'm sure." Anna smiled. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine." She nodded. "I feel perfectly normal."

"Good." Anna nodded. "I coughed in front of the small council and thought I was gonna get beat up!"

"I understand caution but I think there's some overreacting going on."

"They're just scared." Anna mumbled. "But I agree."

It was almost scary to see how everyone was reacting towards each other. Anna couldn't see how the citizens were treating one another because she wasn't there. In the palace however she's seen attitude and tension. Someone coughed and the room emptied. Maybe she should address that...

"What was your dream?" Elsa asked curiously.

"Huh?" Anna suddenly got red.

"Your bad dream last night. It must've been intense." Elsa commented. "You looked a little disturbed by it."

"Oh. I can't remember now. You know how it is with dreams." Anna shook her head hoping she would drop it. "It was an experience."

—-

"I'm so excited!" Olaf jumped around. "I get to see the outside world!"

"We just went on a week long camping trip." Kristoff looked at him.

"Yeah couple days ago. I've been so trapped!" He skipped around Sven.

"Now Olaf you be careful." Anna stated walking towards them with her arm linked with Elsa's. "You might not be able to get sick but... don't go into any houses."

"Oh yea sure sure." Olaf nodded. "Look but no touchy."

Elsa slipped from Anna's hold and watched as the gates were pushed wide open. That was always a sight that warmed her heart. She watched as her little creatures, her snow animals made their way out of the courtyard. Kristoff smiled as the tiny snow reindeer trotted around him and Sven.

"Can I go? Can I?" Olaf jumped around. Elsa nodded and he took off after the group. "Hey you guys! I'm coming!"

"Let me give you a hand." Kristoff went to help Elsa climb into the wagon but Anna beat him too it. "Or not."

Elsa took Anna's hand and climbed up into the top seat. Anna soon following after her and taking her place at her side. Kristoff patted Sven on the head and motioned for him to come on. Sven stepped forward and pulled the girls along with him. Anna spent two days writing notes for EVERYONE and the servants made so many gifts that were filled in the back of the wagon.

Few of the guards followed behind them and Anna felt her heart swell. She was finally out of those gates and going into the town. As they crossed the long stone bridge she couldn't help but notice how empty the docks were. Normally they were full. As they got to the first sets of houses you could see the empty streets. Well except for the snow creatures that danced around and roamed the area. You could see faces in the windows waving and smiling.

The little creatures fell in line and each one was given letters and gifts to deliver to the people's doorsteps. Anna helped Elsa off the wagon and they went to work. Little penguins and deer made their way around to the doors. Olaf of course was waving frantically at each house he passed. You could see kids jumping up and down in the windows and parents waving grabbing the gifts quickly through the door.

"Look how happy they are." Kristoff smiled waving back at a couple little boys through the window. "This was a great idea girls."

"It's amazing what a little magic can do." Anna gave Elsa a sly smile which she returned.

Anna road in back of the wagon, her legs dangling over the edge as she handed letters to the snow animals. Elsa strolled along the side with Kristoff. As they walked the streets Elsa used her magic and made crystal decorations along the light posts and every door had a wreath of frozen flowers. They made their way up and down the streets. Anna knew this was going to be a huge task but it was fun. Once they met the town square they stopped.

"I got this." Elsa walked forward.

Kristoff and Anna stood watching her make her way to the center. The houses around them, their windows filled with eyes. Anna could just feel the eyes watching them. Her heart pounded as she watched her wonderful sister. Kristoff was excited. He always got a kick out of Elsa's magic. Him and Sven leaned over to get a good view. Elsa stopped in the center and looked around. All eyes focused on her as she just smile. Gripping the front of her dress she stomped her foot firmly. The giant ice snowflake appeared under her and quick beams of ice shot in all directions. The courtyard was covered in icy snowflakes that thawed and then reappeared. An ice show Anna had never seen before. She was in awe as she stepped forward and watched the magic. Elsa waved her hands and snow rabbits ran around the edge chasing after icy waves. She spun around and watched as everyone reacted with excitement and cheer. It wasn't much but something to give them to watch.

"Whoa that's new." Kristoff said with his arm around Sven's neck.

"Whew!" Olaf came sliding past Anna making her jump. As he hit the ice his speed increased and he spun around right around Elsa. "This is fun!" He spun around and then added. "I'm gonna throw up."

"Is that possible?" Elsa laughed and managed to use her magic to slow him down. "Silly snowman."

Soon all the little snow creatures made their way out into the ice. The snowflakes still covering the ground she smiled towards Anna. She slid her way over to her and grabbed her hands.

"I decline an ice skating session." Anna laughed holding onto Elsa.

"Ya sure?" Elsa grinned.

"I think so." Anna laughed. "My legs hurt already from the walking."

"Fine fine." Elsa just slipped her arm around her and they watched the little snowy creatures play and slide around. You could feel the love and joy coming from the houses around them. "I think this worked out wonderfully."

"Me too." Anna turned her attention to Elsa. She looked so happy and so proud. She looked so beautiful and simply magical. "You are magnificent." Elsa gave her a smile. "I mean that with every bit of my heart." Anna reached out and brushed some hair behind Elsa's ear and leaned into her hold resting her head on her shoulder. Elsa's arm around Anna's waist tightened and they enjoyed the ice show.

Kristoff glanced over Sven's shoulder and watched for a moment. He didn't say anything but he gave a soft smile. He didn't want to interrupt anything and stayed in his spot. Instead he patted Sven on the nose and rested his head against his.

"Never thought in a million years I'd end up here." He said softly. "Standing in town square with a reindeer watching this magical snow show... and a wild out of control alive snowman dance with a snow lama."

"Meeeee eitherrr." Sven's voice echoed.

Elsa had her head rested on Anna's shoulder. Their arms linked together as they sat close in the back of the wagon. Anna had let her arm locked with hers and allowed her hand to rest on Elsa's leg. Olaf was sitting up with Kristoff and was humming to himself. The Queen was full of ambition and accomplishment as today was a success. She leaned her head against Elsa's as they crossed the stone bridge back towards the palace. Guards stood tall as they passed by and once inside the gates closed. She hated that sound. Elsa drew little lazy crystal spirals in the air in front of her, otherwise Anna would've thought she fell asleep.

The sun was starting to set and the wagon came to a halt. Jerking them alert before Anna hopped off. She smiled up at Elsa and rested her hands upon her knees. "I'm proud of you." Anna grinned. "You made so many people happy today."

"You gave them hope today." Elsa smiled down at her. "You're a wonderful Queen."

They smiled at each other for a moment before Anna reached up. Her hands grabbed Elsa's waist as her hands went to Anna's shoulders and she helped her slide down off the back of the wagon. They never lost those smiles. Once Elsa's feet hit the ground you'd think they'd let go? But they didn't. They just looked at each other. Anna's hands still on her slim waist and Elsa gripped her shoulders. Gazing into each other's eyes. Anna's heart was pounding and she saw a look in Elsa's eyes she's never seen before. Again temptation was brewing inside Anna. Elsa smiled and slowly allowed her hands to slide down Anna's arms giving them a squeeze before drifting by her. The cool yet warm air where Elsa was standing was gone. Empty. Anna let out a shaky breath and was glad she held her self control. That was close.

"Ehm."

"Huh?" Anna looked over at Kristoff who held a smirk on his face. "What?"

"Uh huh..." He nodded. "I see you."

"And I see you." Anna pointed at her eyes and then to him. "Shhh."

"Yep I knew it." He nudged Sven forward to go towards the barn.

"You know nothing." Anna eyed him but gave a smile before running inside after her sister.

Elsa was drifting through the entrance hall when she heard Anna call her name. She felt a little tired from their adventure today but she was in good spirits. She was enjoying the time she got to spend with her since they've been apart. Anytime she could have with Anna was a treasure to her. She always had this pull in her direction anytime she was around. When they were younger Elsa would listen at the door and she had Anna's routine memorized. Least the part of it that went past her bedroom door. She knew when she woke up and listened for Anna to whisper good morning. She counted her steps and usually could tell what kinda of mood she was in by them. Then she knew what time she would come back up to finish her studies in her bedroom. She always heard her steps approach the door and either she would pause and continue on her way or she would stop and vent. "When am I ever going to use this?" Anna would vent and she would often bang her head against the door. Elsa always smiled and gave a small giggle and rested her head on the other side. It was as close as they could get. Then at night time Anna would always stop and tell her sweet dreams and Elsa would try. She tried to dream of them being together. That's the only time she got to see that pretty face was in her dreams.

There wasn't anything Elsa would not do for Anna. She longed for the younger girl for years and now? She couldn't have enough of their time together. Her sweet smile and her clumsy nature and her goofy sense of humor was the light of Elsa's life. When her room would be filled with snow and frost Anna would show up and suddenly it would thaw. Elsa never understood that till later. She thought Anna was distracting her but it was love. The love they shared between their hearts. The unconditional love in Elsa's soul for that silly redhead. Today was special for her. She got to use her magic and have fun with it like they use to. They gave hope to those who needed it the most. They gave a sense of normal to a kingdom so trapped. That was one of the greatest things about being a Queen was making wishes come true and providing hope. Anna had been a little extra needy today. Well, not needy but really pushing the connection between them. The flowers this morning was astonishing and so unexpected. She went the extra mile today to assist Elsa with the smallest thing. She really pushed the physical contact which Elsa loved anyways. She wasn't complaining but she wondered what was up with her? Maybe she really did feel that bad for keeping her awake? But Elsa sensed it was something else. Maybe she had a request?

However, the sensation she got when Anna touched her it was a little different than normal. Her hands on her waist in a firm, possessive hold. It was... nice.

"I had your flowers delivered to your room." Anna approached her with a smile. "Maybe they will bring more comfort and you'll sleep better." Elsa grinned. "And maybe you'll think of me."

"I don't need a room full of flowers to do that." Elsa laughed softly. "Thank you. Today was really special."

"Just like old times huh?"

"It was." Elsa nodded and motioned. "Will you walk me to my room?"

"Of course!" Anna reached out and took Elsa's hand in hers. "I'd be happy to."

"We live on the same floor so I just assumed it wouldn't be a bother." Elsa teased and leaned into her a little as they headed for the stairs.

"Nothing is ever a bother when you're involved." Anna reassured her and squeezed her hand. The walk up the stairs was always a pain but worth it. She got to have some alone time with Elsa. She wanted to get her alone again to kinda feel everything out. They keep having these moments where they were a little too close. Where private space didn't matter. Where hands started to get possessive. "What's on your mind?"

"A lot." Elsa confessed. "You know how you think I have all the answers? I don't." Anna frowned a little. "You tell me how all this has been so confusing for you but.. me? Just when I answer one question a million more pop up and I'm lost." Elsa glanced at the ground. "All these different paths that open up for me to take and I take one thinking it's right but turns out it might not be... so I take another one and again... It doesn't feel right."

"You know... Someone told me once that... Just when you think you found your way life will throw you onto a new path." Anna looked at her. "And when it does don't give up, take it one step at a time and do the next right thing." Anna remembered that night in the Enchanted Forest with Mattias. It was right after they learned the truth about their Mother. Kristoff had taken off with Ryder for something and she watched Elsa that evening. She thought the conversation was about something completely different than what it really was about. "Elsa long as you feel you're doing the right thing.. it can't be wrong." They stopped outside Elsa's room. "You've taken many paths but each one has taught you something magical. We always end up where we are suppose to be." Elsa smiled softly at Anna. "See there's that pretty smile." Anna gave Elsa's hand a small kiss. "I'll see you for dinner."
