THIS is a long one lol Enjoy! Have a good day!

"I don't remember the Valley being this far.." Elsa said softly. "I feel like we've been walking for hours."

"I know and where did this fog come from?" Anna asked softly watching the gray mist come in around them.

Anna was positive she knew the way to the Trolls. She's been there many times and before this fog came rolling in all rude like, she was on track. The girls continued to walk a little on edge and hoping they wouldn't get lost in this stuff. Anna reached out and took Elsa's elbow suddenly getting anxious. Her eyes shifted around and the ground at her feet let her know they were still on the road. Why did it feel like so long? Miles miles miles! She didn't remember it taking so long before. Sure it was a hike but this? This was over the top.

All Anna wanted to do was get out of this fog safely with her sister and visit Pabbie. That's it! Why does everything gotta be so complicated? She couldn't even go on a hike something crazy or out of this world happened. Maybe she should've had Kristoff come and escort them. She thought she saw something out of the corner of her eye. Her head snapping in that direction. Nothing. She swore she could hear a rustling around them. Little scurrying sounds.

"Elsa...?" She whispered. "Do you hear that?"

"What?"

"Nothing..." Maybe it was just in Anna's head and they continued. Her grip tightened on her older sister and again she saw something move about the fog. A shadow.. Her eyes darted around. "You remember the scary stories we were told as kids... I feel like I'm in one." Elsa was silent. "I mean look at this stuff... and I definitely feel like I'm being watched. It's unsettling. Like the time remember when that old dude from the pub was... well never mind.." She was muttering not even sure if Elsa was paying attention. "I hate this."

"Hmm..." Elsa didn't say anything and held her hand up. Her magic emerged through her palm and she tried to clear the fog. Nothing. Useless. "Weird."

"Weird? Weird?!" Anna looked at her. "Not the best time for those choice of words."

"Something isn't right."

"That's even worse to hear." Anna let her hand release Elsa for a moment. "I'm definitely hearing stuff.. and I keep seeing these things out of the corner of my eyeballs!" She paused and looked over her shoulder. "Don't you feel it? Elsa?" Silence. "Elsa?" Anna turned around and she was alone. "Uh Elsa?" She gasped and spun around nothing but fog in her vision. "Elsa!" Silence. "Goofy girl this isn't funny! Ha ha ha haaa." Anna started to move but she was confused on which way to go. "Elsa!"

Swish

Anna stopped and spun around something brushed past her right shoulder. Panic started to rise within her as she saw little shadows rushing around through the fog. It made her stomach turn and she felt a cold sweat come over her. Her feet started to move again and she ran. Oh this was overly creepy and Anna was checking out of there and fast!

"Elsa!" She ran and ran. Her footsteps echoing in the empty space around her. "Elsa!" She skidded to a halt and tried to catch her breath. "Elsa!" Placing a hand on her chest. "I'm so over this!"

"Anna!"

"Elsa!?" Anna tried to determine which way to go as her sister's voice sounded so far away. "Elsa!" And off she went again. Ignoring the shadows that seemed to run along side her in the fog. "I'm coming! I'm coming!" The little figures around her followed and she couldn't make out what they were. Not like she wanted to stop and obverse them! "Elsa!"

"Anna!?" Elsa's voice was getting louder and louder till Anna finally saw her through the fog. A blue light hovering in Elsa's hand like a beacon. "Anna!" She looked scared and lost. "You left!" Just as Anna was gonna reach her the light went out and she was suddenly surrounded by darkness. The air fell around her and it was black.

"Elsa!" She reached out into empty air. She couldn't even see her own hands in front of her face. "Elsa?" What was happening? She could hear breathing in her ear and she jumped. "I swear to Gods if something touches me! I'm gonna freak out!"

"Anna?"

"Ahhhhh!" Anna jumped when someone touched her shoulder. Her heart stopped and her stomach rushed to her throat. "Ahhh!"

"Wake up!"

"Ahhh!" Anna flailed her arms and quickly sat straight. Bolting up into a sitting position sending a rush into her skull. Her eyes finally adjusting to the room she was in. Light blue sheets and warm blankets wrapped around her. Holy moly! "Whoa!" She turned to look at Elsa who was staring at her with concern. "Turn the light on please!"

"Okay okay." Elsa reached over and turned the lantern on and the room filled with dim light. "I thought you were getting murdered. I've never seen someone run in their sleep before..."

"That was a bad one. Holy!" Anna brought her hand up to her face. "Nightmares suck! Suck big time!"

"I'm starting to get concerned with these nightmares." Elsa eyed her. "What was it?"

"Let's just say no walks in the woods for us.. foggy woods." Her hands were shaking but she tried to mask it by fiddling with the blanket. "Oh gosh." She looked over at her sister. "I'm fine I promise it was just... probably something I ate! Never eat before bed right! You get cramps!"

"That's swimming."

"Yeah you shouldn't do that in bed either." She leaned back against the pillows and let out a breath. "I'm fine I promise." Anna paused. "Long as you aren't pulling magic acts in your sleep we're both fine!" Elsa bit her lip. "Come on let's just... let's go back to sleep okay?"

It was still dark outside. She could see the stars through the window and gave Elsa a smile. Not like she wanted to go back to sleep but she didn't want Elsa to worry. Also she didn't want to talk about it. She had to play it cool and calm. Everything had a meaning behind it and she knew Elsa would overthink and really investigate what's going on in Anna's head. She didn't want that. Didn't want her to focus on anything else aside from the rest of her. Leave her mind and head alone. Focus on the rest. The pretty parts.

"Can we leave the light on?" She asked bringing the blanket up to her chin and scooting closer to Elsa.

Elsa didn't speak only nodded before she herself got comfortable. She hugged at Anna's side and her arm went around her shoulders. The younger girl suddenly felt safe and started to relax. What was going on? These dreams she was having? Elsa said so herself she was having trouble controlling her magic while she slept. Was something actually going on and it wasn't a coincidence? Was it linked? When they would go see Pabbie maybe they should bring up these dreams? Perhaps he would have insight?

The young Queen sighed and focused on nuzzling close to Elsa. Having her sister's protective hold around her shoulders brought comfort. She could have a hundred soldiers surrounding her and she would still feel safer with just Elsa. No offense boys. It wasn't just the magic. It was just Elsa. How Anna felt with her around. Even when they were little they protected each other. Anna remembered once they were out back in the stables and one of the roosters got feisty. Next thing Anna remembered she was screaming and running around with the crazy bird on her heels. Pecking and going after her. Anna had tears running down her face and she ran past every single adult and straight into Elsa's arms.

Elsa was Anna's silver knight. Knight in shining armor. Ever since the day Elsa officially left the castle there was a void. Anna couldn't sleep at night knowing her sister wasn't there. Not just the longing and being lonely and apart. She felt her security drop. If anyone could protect her and the castle it was Elsa. Even with the guards up and down the halls she still didn't feel as secure. It was funny considering of course. Elsa had warned her about how certain things would change. Her security and lack of privacy would be one of them. Sure as Princess you had your own little guard. As Queen!? Holy crap. Anna didn't know if she should've been offended or amazed at the security difference from being Princess to Queen.

Enough about that! It was so late into the night and Anna just knew getting back to sleep would be a task. Elsa rest her head against Anna's and her fingers stroked up and down her arm. A comfort method. It made the younger girl smile and she focused on her sisters touch. So soft and so caring. It was remarkable how cold her hands were but then again so warm. How gentle but at the same time dangerous if provoked. Anna use to always give her heck about her cold hands when they were little.

"Elsa! Your hands are so cold!" Anna would squeak taking the older girl's hands and try to warm them in hers. "Let me try."

"It's a lost cause." Elsa would giggle.

Even then though Anna managed to bring a little warmth into her chilled skin. Then they would laugh and Anna would give her a kiss and they would go back to playing. That's right! Anna smiled at the fond memories as children. She would always cling to Elsa and steal quick kisses. It was a sister thing. Even back then she loved her more than the entire world. Hell she was Anna's world! She wouldn't have it any other way. Now look at them! Adults. Taking care of each other. Comforting Anna after she's had a bad dream just like when they were kids.

Just as Anna was about to open her mouth she felt Elsa get a little heavy and her hand dropped. Letting her know that she had fallen fast asleep. Never mind! She closed her eyes and tried to focus on all the happiness in her heart. Perhaps she could drown out the nightmares with beautiful dreams.

"So maybe fifty miles that way!" Anna pointed. "Not bad! Not bad at all!"

"It won't take that long." Mattias said looking down at her. "Why are we going again?"

"Because desperate times call for desperate measures and desperate measures call for Troll Magic." Anna nodded proudly. "Just keep it on the down low I don't want Kristoff knowing."

"I saw him leave this morning." He nodded. "Him and a few other harvesters are headed up to the frozen lake for a few days. They have a tall order."

"Good." Anna wouldn't have to worry about him for a few days. "Hope he stays safe." She mumbled. "Elsa should be here any moment." Anna tapped her foot on the stone step.

"I'm ready!" Olaf buzzed around. Jumping down the steps and chased a chicken around the stables. "I'm ready! I'm ready!"

Anna had her arms crossed over her chest. She wore a long sleeve black dress over a pair of dark green pants and black thigh high boots. The little golden animals that decorated along the bottom of her dress sparkled. A thick black belt secured around her slim waist. She was ready for some serious outdoors stuff let's be honest. She frowned and watched the guards climb up on their horses. As much as Anna wanted to have a private adventure with Elsa the guards felt it would be best if they came. Normally when they did something like this they got away with no guards because they had Kristoff. Mattias was especially pushy at coming along with them. It annoyed her but she understood. So she agreed to allow him and two of his other guards join. Other than that no one was allowed to tag along.

"Ooooo can I ride one?" Olaf asked pointing at on of the guards horses. "I've never ridden on anything alive before. Except Sven." He wandered around the horse. "Not a reindeer."

"Are we almost ready?" Elsa appeared to Anna's left. She walked through the chickens who scattered and then went back to their feed. She offered her sister a big smile and asked. "How many people are coming?"

"Only three extras." She smiled at Elsa. "I wanted to go on our own but of course! You know how some people are."

"They played the you're the Queen and need protecting card didn't they?" Elsa asked wearing a similar outfit to Anna's instead of black and green she had her signature colors. Her dress a deep blue that was decorated in a light frost that started at the bottom and crept up the fabric towards her middle. The crisp yet soft fabric covered a pair of light blue pants and boots. Glittery snowflakes that gathered at her wrists and ran up the sleeves towards her shoulders. She had a light blue cloak secured around her shoulders. "They tried that with me a time or two."

"They pulled the Kristoff is gone and you need men around card." Anna rolled her eyes. "Sexist."

"It's called safety." Mattias stated coming over to the girls. "Your Majesty."

"Yeah yeah. I'll have you know I climbed the North Mountain by myself. We both did." She smiled proudly. "Well Kristoff was there but he was just company."

"Uh huh." Mattias smiled. "I know you girls probably want to go alone but just let us tag along. You'll hardly know we're there."

Elsa smiled softly and placed her hand on Anna's shoulder. It would be nice to go alone but she knew that wouldn't happen unfortunately.

"It's not like anyone will get hurt." Anna said mumbled.

"Hmm..." Elsa paused watching Olaf over Anna's shoulder get too close to one of the horses. It's leg came up and shot backwards kicking Olaf's square in the middle. Shooting him across the small courtyard and straight into the barn on the other side. "Okay maybe it's not too bad of an idea to have extra hands. It'll be okay."

"If you say so." Anna sighed in defeat. "I just hope Pabbie has some answers."

"Me too." Elsa bit her lip. "The sickness and your nightmares."

Anna gave a hopeful smile. She wanted so badly to have some answers today. She wanted nothing more than to come back and have a cure for all this. Have some answers and hopefully some closure. As much as Anna enjoyed taking naps and sleeping she was kinda scared to anymore. Nothing was more haunting than hearing Elsa's screams of pain. It shook Anna to her core.

The morning meeting with her small council wasn't exactly the greatest of news. She got her updates on her neighboring Kingdoms. They were in the same despair as Arendelle except their numbers were sky rocketing. She was actually impressed with her Kingdom and of course it's people. Keeping safe as much as they can and listening to the rules. Sure there were some rebels out there but mostly everyone was taking it seriously. The work on the church was nearly done and they had already moved in a few families. The hospital was full and five homes were now quarantined. The healthy members of the families were comfortable as can be in the church. Anna hoped and prayed that this would find an end.

"Hello." Olaf bumped into Anna's leg dragging her out of her thoughts. "Stay away from that one he's naughty." He pointed to the horse that had kicked him. "But so cute."

"Are you excited for our field trip Olaf?" Elsa asked with a smile.

"Oh yes yes yes. I haven't gone anywhere with you two in a long time! I hope it's like the good old days!" He was so giddy he couldn't contain himself.

The girls laughed and watched as one of the small carriages was pulled up front. Obviously the girl's ride as it was rather extravagant. Two beautiful black horses pulled it easily behind them. The driver tipped his hat to the girls before hopping down to assist them inside.

"Yeah let's not draw attention to ourselves." Anna mumbled causing Elsa to chuckle. "We're going to The Valley of Living Rock..."

"I know but come on it's been awhile since we've gotten to travel in style." Elsa smirked. "You're a Queen now."

"Shotgun!" Olaf yelled and ran forward climbing up into the spot next to the driver seat.

"I think it's time to get this show on the road." Mattias stated climbing onto his horse. "If you wanna make great time that is. Let's go men!"

"Thank you." Elsa nodded to the driver to assisted her inside. Followed quickly by Anna who took the spot next to her. "It wont be so bad."

"Yeah I suppose so." Anna mumbled.

They closed the door and once the men were situated on their horses they started to head out. Anna was bummed. She wanted to do something special and more one on one with her sister. Kristoff wasn't around so they didn't have a ride there. Walking probably would've been way too long and seriously that dream Anna had she kinda didn't wanna walk. There was still a pit of anxiety in her stomach the more she thought about it. These dreams were getting weirder and weirder. Elsa seemed to of slept like a baby as Anna didn't wake up to a room full of snow. Perhaps they could discuss this a little more on their journey since they will have the time. It was rather early in the morning so they should run into the trolls in a couple hours. Anna just hoped it would be a easy trip and not any bad weather such as fog!

As they left the back gates they could already hear Olaf asking the driver a million questions. Perhaps having him around was the best thing not just because they loved him but he could keep the others sidetracked. Last night was a wonderful night aside from the damn nightmare of course and Olaf kind of spilling the beans a little.. causing Anna to embarrass herself. Elsa fell asleep in her arms and the room couldn't be any warmer. Nothing melted hearts like that feeling. An act of true love can thaw a frozen heart. Anna had observed and studied her sister so much that even the smallest detail caught her attention. Last night when they held each other the warmth in the room didn't go unnoticed. Maybe Anna was overthinking it but she knew what that meant. No snow. No frost. Now flakes! No cool temperatures. Love warmed that room last night. That meant something. Anna was actually glad Elsa didn't hear her mumble some choice words last night before she fell asleep. It would've maybe ruined the entire moment.

"Over thinking?" Elsa asked, her hand finding Anna's.

"Just about trolls!" Anna gave a nervous laugh. "It's like you're a mind reader. Quick! What color am I thinking of?"

"Ha ha." Elsa smirked. "I just know you have a lot going on.. we both do.. considering the circumstances."

"Can I ask you about your nightmares?" Anna asked curiously. "We didn't exactly elaborate on them that morning..." Elsa's smile suddenly faded. "I don't mean to drag down the mood. I'm sorry! I know! I'm a buzz killer!" She gave her older sister's hand a squeeze. "Our minds are so connected.. as is our hearts.. I just thought maybe our nightmares are similar?"

"Well.." Elsa let out a sigh. "To be honest I... I don't really remember my dreams. It's like a fog takes over my mind anytime I try." The word fog caused Anna to gulp. "And my powers... well I'm asleep so I don't fully realize what's going on in the room around me."

"It was crazy. You had ice rain going on and it was so cold!" Anna shivered. "But you don't remember anything?" Elsa shook her head. "Well that's a little disappointing." She paused. "I keep having nightmares about you."

"Me?" Elsa's eyes widened. "What do you mean?"

"Like I keep hearing you screaming... calling me to help.. We get separated and every time I try to find you I never make it in time." Anna frowned. "I always wake up before anything happens to you of course but... I'm always scared that, what if I don't wake up in time?"

"I'm sorry." Elsa stated sadly. "Even in your dreams I'm a disturbance. I'm a problem."

"No!" Anna looked at her. "Don't ever think that. You're not a disturbance. You're the most amazing, important, wonderful person in my life. You could never be a problem. EVER." Anna brought her hand up and gave it a kiss. "You are my strength. You're my heart. I want you in my head even if it's during traumatic night terrors." Elsa blushed a little. "I love you."

"I know." Elsa said softly. "I love you too. What would I ever do without you?"

"You'll always have me." Anna smiled. There was a small silence between them and Anna's heart was suddenly thumping so hard in her chest. "I.. I know that things get a little complicated at times but that isn't your fault. Don't be so hard on yourself. I don't make our lives any easier trust me!" She gave a nervous laugh and started to ramble. "I probably complicate things a whole lot more! With my big mouth and my clumsy ways and my over grown heart that has zero boundaries. I mean that's kinda why we get in trouble in the first place!"

"I like your heart." Elsa stated. "It's in a good place."

"Ohhhh I dunno about that." Anna suddenly got a little warm bringing her hand up to brush some hair behind her ear. If only she knew what sort of torment was tugging in her chest maybe she would think differently. "Whoa its hot in here."

Elsa arched an eyebrow. Nothing she couldn't fix right? With a delicate hand she reached over and took Anna by the chin and made her look at her. Determined eyes met timid eyes as Elsa placed her hand gently on her forehead. Allowing the coolness to rise in her palm against Anna's skin. Anna leaned into her touch and smiled softly as the uncomfortable heat disappeared. It was a rather warm day already but the fact she was stuck in such a small space with Elsa definitely raised her temperature. It seemed anytime Anna had an opportunity to express herself to Elsa she got dumb and couldn't form words. Or she could form words just not the right ones. Elsa allowed her hand to drop and they exchanged sweet smiles. The ride was kinda bumpy here and there but it was going smoothly. Anna exactly wasn't sure what it was she was expecting. They held hands and engaged in small talk. Discussing a lot about mama and papa. Some more about what they would ask Grand Pabbie. Kristoff and why he was being so distant with his family. Olaf and the fact his mouth never stopped moving.

"If you could have three wishes what would they be?" Anna asked Elsa suddenly. "It could be anything and everything in the world." Anna smiled at her. "You say one and I'll say one."

"We haven't played this since we were kids." Elsa laughed. "Okay. Hmm... Solve all of Arendelle's problems."

"Might have to narrow that one down."

"Okay okay. Make Arendelle healthy again. No more sickness."

"I'd wish for Arendelle to be the richest of all the kingdoms." Anna said proudly. "That way we can really give our people what they need and be the envy of our toxic neighbors such as The Southern Isles and Weasel Town."

"Such Queenly answers don't you think?" Elsa smirked.

"Okay okay our last two have to be personal. We already took care of Arendelle." Anna laughed softly. "Your turn."

"Lifetime supply of chocolate?" Elsa gave her a sly smile.

"That you can share with me!" Anna laughed. "I want a lifetime supply of sandwiches!"

"To share with me!" Elsa chuckled. "Food and Arendelle. The desires that sit in our hearts."

"Yeah." Anna gave a smile. Oh that's not the only thing in her heart. Yes Arendelle and her people. Yes of course food! Gosh! Sandwiches and sweets and soups and baked goods! Muffins! Oh she loved muffins. Pancakes! Oh yes. Aside from pancakes Anna wanted something more. "We got one more wish. Your turn."

"Hmm." Elsa was silent for the longest time. Anna wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. Elsa had that look on her face that Anna often saw when she was at family game night. Little confused. Unsure. Maybe scared? Nervous? Embarrassed. "I'm not... sure."

"You're not sure?" Anna perked up. "Wow that's a first." They came to a sudden halt throwing them backwards a little bit. "Hey!" Anna banged her fist on the ceiling. "Precious cargo here!"

"Sorry!" Came the voice of the driver.

"Your Majesty I think we hit the marker." One of the guards called from outside.

Anna gave Elsa one last look and opened the door, jumping out of the carriage. She took a second to help Elsa down the step before walking around their ride, petting one of the horses as she went by. Her eyes scanned the area and it took her a moment to familiarize herself with where they were. They were in the woods and a normal person probably wouldn't even notice the marker. Which was good of course. Anna crossed the road and skimmed the trees. One of them stood out from all the rest. While the others were simple pine trees growing tall and proud. This one was tiny and the needles on it were purple instead of green. Bringing her hand up to touch it she smiled seeing the little green pine cones that were nuzzled into its branches. The needles were soft to the touch and around the base were little stones.

"It's so cute and so tiny." Olaf peered closely at the little tree. "Hello. I'm Olaf! And-."

"This is it." Anna cut him off.

"Anna please you're being rude." Olaf stated and turned back to the tree. "I like warm hugs."

"Sorry. This is it." Anna stated turning around to look at everyone. "I think Elsa and I can continue on foot. It's not that far from here and there's a path up ahead." Elsa nodded and stepped forward. "It'll be okay I promise. I don't want to intimidate them and I think this is something we should do."

"Okay..." Mattias wasn't completely happy but he respected her decision. "Be careful."

"Always." Anna took Elsa's hand and they stepped into the woods. "Come on Olaf!" The trees were thick and rather dark inside as not much sun could shine in. Suddenly her nightmare flashed in front of her. She did say no walks in the woods anytime soon and well, here they were. She gripped her sister tightly and kept her very close. "This part always scared me."

The girls and the little snowman made their way through the trees making sure they stayed on a straight line. You could easily get lost. Anna gripped onto Elsa's hand as sticks and twigs snapped under their steps. There were a couple ways to get to the trolls and this was actually the quickest way. Anna didn't want to go all the way around the rocks that would take an extra hour especially with their form of transportation. The scary way was the easiest way for the moment. You felt like you were being watched. Like the trees all had eyes and they were studying your every move. It was an uncomfortable feeling that no one could ever get use to. Finally she came upon a stone that was out of place on the forest floor. She smiled and continued finding another one and another one and another one and finally the edge of the forest. Stepping out into a opening where the sun was actually shining and no more darkness, she let out a breath.

"Let there be light!" Olaf shouted running ahead of them.

"Finally!"

"I have never been that way." Elsa stated as they started to follow the stone path. "It was unsettling."

"I think it's a defense tactic. Kristoff was telling me about it the first time we came that way. I wanted to turn around and he had to keep reassuring me it was okay and nothing was going to eat me." Anna laughed softly. "I guess it makes sense doesn't it? Even though they're protected by their magic.. Some people seeking them might not be so nice and if you can scare the pants off of them for even trying that's good!"

Finally they made it into the rocks were they had to be careful of their footing. The cliffs surrounding the area were so tall it was like they reached the clouds. The large boulders provided more cover and safety for the magical creatures. There was a few bubbling mud pits here and there that didn't smell the nicest but their steam was comfortable on a cold day. They watched Olaf and made sure he was safe and stayed away from the hot pits. They watched their step and finally entered the clearing. Anna's eyes scanned the area but no sign of the trolls like always. She whistled and called out and suddenly the whole ground started to shake. She held onto Elsa to keep her balanced as all the rocks of many sizes came rolling up to her feet.

"Anna!"

"Olaf!"

"Queen Anna!"

"Where have you been!?"

"We missed you!"

"Where's Kristoff!?"

"Elsa!"

The trolls all jumped around their feet in excitement. Their big smiles and their goofy personalities all shined as they danced away and cheered for their guests. It was never the quietest of greetings but they made you feel the love. Olaf was going around shaking everyone's hands and patting them on the heads. The little trolls flocking to him and giving him all the hugs he wanted.

"Brock! Bulda!" Anna smiled and kneeled down to them patting them all on their heads and shaking their hands. "Cliff! Soren! It's so good to see all of you! Oh I like your mushrooms very classy." Anna giggled and stood up placing her arm around Elsa's shoulders. "You all know my beautiful sister Elsa."

"Elsa!" They cheered and boom the questions started to fly. "You're so pretty! How are you!? Why don't you visit more often!? Do you know where Kristoff is? Can we see your magic!?"

"Okay okay. Calm down." Anna smiled sensing Elsa getting a little nervous but she was a good sport. "I'm sorry I haven't come to visit... Things are so... difficult back home. Kristoff is busy he's on a business venture up to the frozen lake. I'm sorry." They all frowned and looked so sad. "But I'm sure he will come visit soon as he's back. I'll make sure! I've missed you all. You're family." They gave her a big smile. "We need to talk to Pabbie. Where is he?"

"I'll call him." Gothi stated.

"What's going on out there child?" Bulda asked. "We've heard very little."

"Nothing good." Is all Anna could say before a giant rock came rolling over. "Grand Pabbie."

"Anna." He looked up at them. "Elsa.. It's wonderful to see you two healthy and safe."

"You know why were here?" Elsa looked at him.

"I've been waiting for you. The fact it took you this long baffles me." Pabbie sounded disappointed. "But I wont ask questions."

"Thaaaaanks...?" Anna wasn't sure about that response.

"A plague has rained down on the world." Pabbie stated loudly. "Arendelle is only one of many kingdoms that are being terrorized by it. Unfortunately this is a sickness brought on by man not by magic."

"Okay I don't like how you said that." Anna stated with a shiver up her spine.

"If it was magic then there would be one source that could be destroyed to free everyone of their illness." Pabbie stated. "Unfortunately in this case it is something that has to be dealt with one person at a time and that's a lot of people."

"And a whole lotta world to cover." Anna frowned.

"This is dramatic." Olaf whispered loudly.

"Is there anything you could possibly do?" Elsa asked hopefully.

"Well.. I am not entirely sure. I would have to see someone who has this plague to understand it much better." Pabbie looked up at them. "So I can examine them and learn all I can about it.. I need to feel it. Don't worry for me I wont catch the illness. I am protected."

"Can I get some of that protection?" Anna asked curiously. "Is it like some force field?"

"Well." Pabbie laughed softly. "Yes and no."

"Can you put the protection on humans?" Elsa asked curiously. "If so then.. can't you just visit them one by one and..."

"Zap em with your magic?" Anna asked the little troll wiggling her fingers.

"That's a lot of magic and magic has it's limits as you know very well, Elsa." Pabbie looked up at Elsa who nodded sadly. "However if I'm able to study this plague and what it does to the human body then perhaps I can provide some sort of cure. Those that don't have it already maybe I can shield them the best I can." Anna perked up liking this idea. "I'll need to go back with you."

"Should you leave the Valley?" Elsa looked concerned.

"I could send someone with you but I would prefer to see it first hand." Pabbie looked over at his fellow trolls.

"Bring Kristoff back with you." Bulda stated. "We haven't seen him in some time."

"The boy is dealing with much lately I'm afraid." Pabbie's words caused Elsa and Anna to shift their eyes. "Unfortunately. He will come back when he is ready." The trolls all frowned at this and Pabbie continued. "I will travel to Arendelle. I can't be away long. I will return tonight."

"Okay." Anna nodded looking at Elsa. "I guess we should be on our way then so we can get this done so you can return. I must warn you that this illness effects everyone so differently. I'm not sure what you're going to walk into but I hope you're going to be safe."

"Human illnesses cannot harm us." Bulda stated.

"I'll take extra precautions as well so it cannot get on me and I end up transferring it to you." Pabbie gave the girls some reassurance. "But I can protect you two." He motioned for the two to kneel down in front of him. "I have been preparing for your visit Queen Anna I just wished it was much sooner."

"Yeah well... I kinda wasn't allowed to come see you." Anna said bluntly as Pabbie rested his rough hand on her forehead. She felt his hand get really hot and a small flash of green light lit her vision and then it was gone. She felt a tingling sensation start at her nose and work it's way down her body to her feet and then it stopped. "Whoa. That's what it feels like when I drink too much wine." Elsa eyed her. "Just once. I swear!"

Pabbie didn't respond to Anna's comment about not visiting. He carried on doing the same thing to Elsa and he couldn't help but smile at her. "Elsa... I can't tell you how proud I am of you." He took her hand and he could feel the magic within her palms. "It's getting so much stronger isn't it?" Elsa nodded. "Your control?"

"It's better but I have moments where I'm doing magic and I don't realize it."

"In her sleep." Anna jumped in.

"Hmm nightmares?" Pabbie asked getting a nod from the Snow Queen. "We'll look into that a little more."

The girls, Olaf and Pabbie all agreed they needed to move quickly so they could get this done in time for Pabbie to make his way back home by tonight. Rolled up in a ball he followed them back up the path and through the forest till they reached the guards. They jumped slightly seeing the large rock and then when it popped out to be a troll one man almost fell backwards. Carefully as he could Pabbie climbed in with the girls and they set on their way. All was silent except for Olaf who again was playing a million questions.

"Can I drive? I'm old enough!"

"How long have you been a driver?'

"Is it fun?"

"Can you read? I can read."

"Pabbie about these nightmares we're having..." Anna started.

"You're having nightmares too?" He looked a little concerned. "As you two are aware that your minds are rather linked together as is your hearts." This caused the girls to blush for different reasons and Anna gave a proud smile. She said the same thing earlier. "Elsa your powers are growing and growing and perhaps might never stop until your late age. They will continue to grow and with that comes a great need of control. It's going to be difficult but it's not impossible you are so very strong. That could be the source of your nightmares. When we sleep our bodies relax and our brains run wild and in your case your mind AND your magic. There is obviously a trigger and considering your past I'm not surprised. Sorry. As long as you aren't hurting anyone I see no harm being done but we will have to explore this further." He turned to Anna. "And you... What are your nightmares about?"

"Elsa." Anna looked at him without missing a beat. "Darkness. Fog. Spooky shadow people. Screams of pain."

"Dark." Pabbie said bluntly. "You both have some trauma in your lives. Witnessed things together that no one should unfortunately and I give you both my deepest sympathy. I'm not surprised that you're having nightmares. You need each other. You need to support each other and take care of each other. I know I don't have to tell you that." The girls smiled at each other and he was quiet for a moment. "However... I would like to talk to you both before I leave... separately."

"Okay.." Elsa nodded.

Once they entered the back gates and came to a stop they exited the carriage. Anna was nervous about her talk with Pabbie and even more about him interacting with the sickness. He said he would be safe but even then it made her so nervous. This sickness was unpredictable and that frightened her to no end. The girls walked with Pabbie back inside the palace. The troll was set in what he was gonna do because he didn't even comment or look anywhere except forward. Determination. Plus Anna knew he hated to be away from the others which was why he never was.

"Can you do me a favor and contact Blake please." Anna grabbed one of the nearby servants. "I'll be in my office. Pabbie our Coin Master, Blake was going to meet with our medical staff later today. To provide funds. I'm sure he would love to have you tag along with him."

"Very well." The troll followed the girls down the hall and into a room near the library. Anna's little office that she found herself in a lot more when Elsa was Queen. "I hope I won't get in the way."

"Nonsense!" Anna stared. "You're going help more than anything."

"How long do these self defense shield things work?" Elsa asked. "Maybe I could go with you?"

"No!" Anna was quick to respond causing the other two to jump. "I mean.. no. No. I need you here Elsa... just. No."

"Don't worry." Pabbie jumped in. "You're protected till I remove it. Also... it's okay child I will be just fine. I don't want you to see those horrors. Your mind is already bending as it is."

"Should I be offended?" Elsa arched an eyebrow.

"My Queen?" Blake knocked on the door before stepping inside. "You asked for me..." He trailed off seeing Grand Pabbie. "Uh... what's happening?"

"Blake this is Pabbie. He's going to tag along with you today. He requires all the notes and all the findings about this sickness from the medical staff." Anna motioned. "Tell them that he is to go with them back to the hospital so he can observe some of the patients. Hopefully he can help us with a cure."

"Okay... but how is he going to help?"

"Don't question me." Anna looked at him. "I said what I said don't second guess me." Blake shut his mouth. "Just do as I say and please can you leave at this moment? I don't want to keep him waiting and I wanna get on this as quickly as possible."

"Pabbie? Maybe you can help him out too?" Elsa smiled.

"I suppose it wouldn't hurt." Grand Pabbie playfully rolled his eyes and motioned for the young man to come closer. "Come. I'm going to provide you with a gift."

"It doesn't hurt." Elsa smiled at Blake. "We need you safe and sound."

Pabbie did the same thing to Blake as he did with the girls. The green light lasted seconds and the young man stood tall. Confusion on his face that caused the girls to chuckle a little.

"Now you're one of us!" Anna smirked. "Now. Carry on. Blake please watch out for him. He's here on royal duty for the Kingdom of Arendelle. I feel like we will surely kick this illness in the butt and hopefully get rid of the nasty thing."

"I'll return to you later." And with that Pabbie left with the timid young man.

"Oh my gosh. You think he can do it?" Anna sat down heavily in her chair. "He can do it right?"

"If anyone can it's him." Elsa smiled and slowly moved towards Anna's desk. "You sure got snappy there sis. High and mighty Queen of Arendelle."

"My fuse is a lot shorter as the days go on. The longer this plague hangs over us the worst it gets" Anna frowned. "Elsa you're going to have to guide me here. I'm too young and innocent to go through this alone."

"You have any idea who you're talking to?" Elsa looked at her slowly making her way around the desk. "I'm the soft one remember?"

"Sometimes." Anna smiled, watching Elsa lean against the desk in front of her. "We're doing this together right?"

"Always." Elsa nodded. "There's no other way to handle this. As Pabbie said. We need each other. We need to look out for each other."

"For Arendelle?" Anna bit her lip.

There was a pause and their gazes locked onto each other's again. The room faded into the background and all that mattered was them. Looking into each other's hearts. Souls. Anna was hoping just hoping Elsa could read her mind. 'I love you'. She tried to push all her emotions into that one look. 'I'm in love with you.' Things would be easier if she could hear her thoughts. Anna desperately wanted to know what her older sister was thinking. Was it the same thing? Same feelings? Same thoughts?

"For Arendelle." Elsa finally responded. "And for us."
