Steven's life began as a survivor in Sonic's World. Throughout the early years, Steven's heard stories about the adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends, who he wanted to be like despite his own flaws. But one day, Chaos Control happens and this caused Steven to meet Sonic, his friends along with new friends who will guide him to be one of the greatest heroes in the world.

3. Episode 2

Gotta Go Fast (Sonic X Theme) by NateWantsToBattle

A flashback from last Chapter/Episode plays with Aeneas who was officially now known as Steven was yelling in the air before he and Sonic crash land in the big pool of the Mansion that was known as the Thorndyke Mansion Property.

Inside the Thorndyke Mansion, Chris was sleeping in his bed until he heard the big splash from outside.

Back outside, Chris jumps in the pool and goes underwater. Chris reaches his hand out and grabs Steven's hand before pulling him and Sonic out of the water.

Back to surface Chris patted Sonic and Steven's back while they cough out the extra water. "That was close. A-Are you two okay?" Chris asked while Sonic and Steven cough out a little more water. "Yeah. thanks a lot" Sonic says as he opens his eyes a bit. "Yes. Thank you" Steven says as he rubbed his eyes and Chris looks at Sonic and Steven with a surprised look. "I... I didn't think you guys could talk" Chris says, "Well, I can do a lot of things" Sonic says, "Me too" Steven says, "W-Wow! That's... That's awesome..!-that you guys can talk, I mean. My... my name's Christopher. How about you two? Do you two have names?" Chris asked, "Yeah, we have names. My name is Sonic the Hedgehog" Sonic says, "And what's your name?" Chris asked as he and Sonic turn to Steven. Steven then took a deep breath before announcing his current un-offical name. "I'm Steven. Steven the Hedgehog" Steven says with a smile on his face as he felt he had the name for a long time. Sonic, Steven and Chris smile at each other thinking this could be a start of a new friendship and partnership in this New World. Will these opinions of theirs come true or will be too good to be true? There's only one way to find out as it is now time for Steven's adventuring days with Sonic to continue forward.

Infiltrate! Area 99 (Sonic and Steven to the Rescue)

The next morning at the Thorndyke Mansion Property, it was a beautiful morning as everything was quite from current events. "Oh, this picture has been a disaster, darling, a complete disaster. We've had to stop shooting because there's been torrential rain for days! So there's nothing I can do besides sit and wait. I don't think I'll be back till late next week at the earliest" a woman's voice says through a speaker off screen.

Outside on the balcony of the Thorndyke Mansion, Chris was talking to his mom Lindsey Fair Thorndyke on the phone. "But I've had plenty of time to go shopping, and I'm having lots of wonderful presents sent. I hope you'll like them. They're coming on Daddy's jet, so you should have them tonight" Lindsey says from the phone. "Thanks, Mom. Mom, there's something I have to… Well, there's something I did which I'm kinda not supposed to." Chris says as he stutters a bit. "Christopher, what happened? Are you all right?" Lindsey asked worryingly, "Yeah, I'm totally fine. But remember how you said about how I'm not allowed to swim at night, and how you wanted me to stay away from the adult pool? Chris asked as the Thorndyke's Mansion's butler Mr. Tanaka comes and puts breakfast on a tray on the table and goes back inside. "Did you go swimming in the adult pool at night by yourself?" Lindsey asked worryingly, "Uh, well, not exactly" Chris says as he looks up. "You see, there were these cats in the pool, and I got them out" Chris says as he looks up to see Sonic and Aeneas who was officially now known as Steven sitting and laying on the roof with Sonic having an annoyed look on his face while Steven just listens. "Oh, you have a big heart, just like I do. Next time, ring for Mr. Tanaka and he'll take care of things, all right? Oh, darling, I must run. Kiss Mummy goodbye." Lindsey says and does kisses from the phone and so does Chris, making him blush and rubs the back of his head in embarrassment. "Chiao, sweetheart." Lindsey says before she hangs up. After the conversation, Sonic and Steven then jumped from the roof to the balcony gates and sat down. "Take a good look. We're Hedgehogs, not cats." Sonic says, "Uh, I know. Please don't be mad. You see, my mom wouldn't understand." Chris says, "Yeah, I figured that" Steven says, "Why wouldn't she?" Sonic asked, "Well, first of all, she knows I wouldn't risk diving into a pool in the middle of the night just to save two little hedgehogs." Chris says as he demonstrated how small a Hedgehog was in his world with his hands. "Really" Sonic says, "What else could I say to her? I couldn't tell her that I saved two blue and brown talking hedgehogs. That reminds me. Where and when did you learn how to talk, Sonic and Steven?" Chris asked, "Good question. Unfortunately, I don't have a very good answer, 'cause I don't remember" Sonic says trying to think while rubbing his head. "What about you, Steven? Do you remember" Chris asked, "Well... to answer where, it was at my "Home" back in mine and Sonic's home world, and as for when, I don't remember either. It was pretty far back. Probably when I was still a young Hedgehog" Steven says, "I'm guessing you've learned how to talk when you heard other people talking, right?" Sonic asked, "Pretty much, yeah" Steven says. Before Chris could say anything, the phone rings and Chris answers. "Hello?" Chris asked, "Chris, is everything all right?" Chris's dad Nelson Thorndyke from the phone asked. "Hey, Dad. How are ya?" Chris asked, "I'm fine, but your mother just called and told me you made an emergency rescue last night. I guess our security system can't protect against stray cats that decide they wanna go for a moonlight swim. Chris, I know you like animals, but what you did was dangerous" Nelson asked while Sonic kept giving dirty looks while Steven just listens. "Were you hurt? Did the cats scratch you while you were trying to save them?" Nelson asked from the phone off screen and Chris shakes his head. "Mm-mm. No scratches at all. I'm fine, Dad. Honest, I am. It really wasn't that big a deal" Chris says as he looked at Sonic who was scratching his ear and Steven was tapping his fingers on the balcony while waiting patiently. "After I jumped in and got them out of the water, they were really happy, I could tell." Chris says off screen. "Yeah, gotcha. Yeah" Nelson says. "Besides, I could've had Grandpa, or Ella, or Mr. Tanaka to help me if I needed to. Don't worry, Dad. They're taking good care of me." Chris says, "Yeah, they better be. Listen, Chris, I've got an important meeting to run to. You call me anytime you need anything. And no more late-night swims, promise?" Nelson asked from the phone off screen as Sonic and Steven stopped what they were doing and continued listening with Sonic giving more annoyed looks. "Okay, Dad, I promise. See you soon." Chris says as he hangs up the phone and looks at Sonic who shake his head. This made Chris and Steven laugh nervously. Chris then suddenly realized something. "Uh, I almost forgot you guys must be pretty hungry. I was thinking you guys might like to have something to eat." Chris says, "Yeah, I haven't eaten anything for awhile. We should eat and drink something before starting the day right, Sonic?" Steven asked, "Yea, I guess I could go for something. What's on the menu?" Sonic asked, "I checked out hedgehogs on the Internet and found the perfect thing" Chris says and brings a plate of cat food in front of Sonic and Steven. Sonic and Steven looked at each other for a moment. "Okay, bottoms up" Steven says as he and Sonic took a little bit of the food and eat it. After they ate it, they gagged a bit. "Ugh, what is this?" Sonic asked, "Cat food" Chris says as he had his left hand behind his head. "Ugh, no wonder. It tastes like there's a cat in it." Sonic says while looking away in disgust while Steven did his best to not vomit. "It was... Different than... From what I'm... Used to..." Steven says, trying to not sound rude. "The Website I went to said most hedgehogs love cat food. I guess that doesn't go for all hedgehogs. I can get you guys a bowl of crickets or dry grass" Chris says and this made Sonic knock the plate out of his hand and stand up while Steven looked like he was gonna throw. Sonic then jumps up a tree branch. "Sonic? Where are you..." Steven asked as he turned towards Sonic and Chris leaned against the balcony fence. "No! Please don't run away" Chris says as he reached his hand out to Sonic. "Sorry, kid, but crickets and dry grass don't do it for me" Sonic says, "I'll get whatever you and Steven want, but just don't go!" Chris says, "Ha, see ya. I'll be back, Steven" Sonic says and he jumps off the tree and leaves. "Come back! Sonic! You could get hurt out there!" Chris says, "It's okay, Chris. Sonic will be fine" Steven says while turning to Chris. "Are you sure, Steven?" Chris asked, "I'm sure, Chris, because if I know Sonic, then I know he'll make sure nothing bad happens to himself, even if it's an emergency" Steven says as he looked where Sonic left. "You really look up to Sonic, don't you, Steven?" Chris asked, "Yeah. It's one of the main reasons I'm here with him and not somewhere else. If Sonic looks like he knows what he's doing, then I trust him with all my heart" Steven says, "Well then that's good to know" Chris says, "Yes. Anyway. I don't eat cat food, crickets or dry grass. I eat fruits and drink water" Steven says, "Okay. We have fruits in the kitchen. I can bring you some if that's what you like" Chris says, "Perfect. Thank you, Chris. I'll be waiting at the top" Steven says, "Okay. I'll be back" Chris says and goes back inside while Steven goes back up on the roof. "The Supersonic speed demons," another woman's voice says off screen.

On TV, the news was on as it showed Sonic and Steven's big scene to Station Square. "Seen here on police helicopter video, have the city baffled." The SSTV news reporter Scarlet Garcia says off screen as it showed a video footage of the police chopper putting Sonic and Steven in the spotlight on the highway. There was also a few interviews from witnesses in Station Square. "They were about this high, one was blue, the other was brown, and they looked like freaks" A cop says, "I was doing about 60 when these things went, whoo, right by me." A man says from his car as he demonstrated how fast Sonic and Steven ran. "Those things moved too fast to be regular animals." Another man says. Then the TV switches to a Zoologist named Doctor Kai Narasu as he's holding a monkey who pulls his glasses up and down. "As to the question of whether these are UMA, "Unidentified Mutant Animal", they are positively not. Even the cheetah, which is widely believed to be the fastest member of the animal kingdom, cannot outrun a speeding Formula One police car. Because of this, the inescapable conclusion one must inevitably come to is that the so-called hedgehogs are in reality machines" Doctor Kai Narasu says from the TV.

Sonic, Steven and Chris were in the living room watching the news about Sonic and Steven's sudden appearance as Sonic was chewing his food loudly with Chris giving him a look and Steven eating grapes. "Is it tasty?" Chris asked off screen. Then suddenly, the door opens to reveal a man in his 60s with a lab coat on. This man was Chris's grandfather Chuck Thorndyke. "Yeah. Thank you, Chris" Steven says off screen and Chuck walks in. "There you are. Guess what? Two big blue and brown hedgehogs came out of nowhere and outran the S-Team yesterday" Chuck says before he saw Sonic and Steven sitting next to Chris. Chris stuttered a bit while Chuck was looking at Sonic and at the readers. Chuck then looks dead in the eye at Sonic and Sonic does the same thing and Steven sits still as he didn't know what was gonna happen now. Chris panics and puts a pillow over Sonic and hides Steven behind him while laughing nervously at Chuck while Chuck looked serious. "Hey, cut it out! I can't breath!" Sonic says under the pillow and pushes it off him and crosses his arms. Chris continues to hide Steven and Chuck gets a better look at the Sonic. "Blue..." Chuck says and then looks a bit of behind Chris to see Steven. "Brown... just like those…" Chuck says and gasps in surprise and he grabs Sonic. "It's them. Chris, grab the other one!" Chuck says, "Hey man!" Sonic says, "Easy, Grandpa!" Chris says as he continues to hide Steven behind him. Then Chuck takes out a screwdriver and the tip of it shines a bit. "Grandpa, what are you doing?" Chris asked off screen in shock while Chuck screws it on Sonic's back and it makes Sonic ticklish. Steven panicked and curled into a ball. "Okay, I'm a ball. Just a normal ball. I'm blending like a ball" Steven says in his head before opening his eyes a bit. "Shh! Stop talking! No you stop talking! Be quite Steven! You be quite Steven!" Steven says in his head. "I have to see how these things are put together" Chuck says, "AH! Stop!" Sonic says, "Aw, I'm hoping he's not gonna look at my insides. I've kinda have a slight empty stomach" Steven says in his head. Sonic then jumps out of Chuck's grasp and stands across from him. "Stand still!" Chuck says as he points the screw driver at Sonic. Steven then uncurls from the ball and goes in front of Sonic. "Wait! Don't hurt him!" Steven says, "You don't move either!" Chuck says as he pointed the screwdriver at Steven. "Grandpa, wait. Their not machines. They're Sonic and Steven the Hedgehogs" Chris says and this made Chuck go in shock that he drops his screwdriver on the floor, causing it to roll on the floor and the news on TV gives another update. "Now let's go live to this late-breaking story." Scarlet says and a whimper was heard from the TV. "Oh, Please" Cream says off screen and Cheese chirps off screen from the TV, causing Sonic to blink and turn to the TV as he recognizes the voices and Steven looked concerned.

Back on TV, they see the firemen climbing up the ladder from the firetruck going to grab Cream and Cheese stuck on a Billboard that said Ice Express. "Please leave us alone" Cream says from the TV as she and Cheese huddle in fear.

Sonic then recognized who they were. "It's Cream and Cheese" Sonic says, "It's who?" Chris asked, "It looks like they're in trouble" Steven asked, "You were right, Steven. We're not the only ones who got transported into this weird world after all. I'll save those two" Sonic says, "But, Sonic-" Steven says but was cut off by Sonic leaving the Mansion.

Outside, Sonic made his way off the Thorndyke Property as he ran and Chris and Steven step out. "Do you know where they are?" Chris asked. Sonic ran through a hay fence and skidded to a stop. Sonic then ran back to Chris and Steven and stands with dust flying behind him. "Uh?" Sonic asked and shrug his shoulders sheepishly. "Huh" Chris says, "I think we should study all this" Steven says.

At the garage which was also known as Chuck's garage and place to sleep, Sonic, Steven, Chris and Chuck were inside with Chuck talking to someone over the phone, Chris waiting for Chuck to finish, Sonic playing with an invention and Steven looking around the place. "I thought they'd probably do something along those lines. Well, thanks very much for giving me the scoop, and I'll talk to you soon" Chuck says before he hangs up the phone. "Well, it seems Sonic's friends have been captured by the police and moved to Area 99" Chuck says.

Back to realty, Chris knew the place. "That's that top secret military base." Chris says, "What?" Sonic asked, "Military?" Steven asked, "It's where the National Defense Force keeps all their tanks, fighter jets, and high-tech spy equipment." Chris says, "That sounds like Eggman's kinda place" Sonic says. "Dr. Eggman..." Steven says nervously, "Sonic's friends have been taken there by the army and placed under 24-hour guard. The authorities believe they could be aliens, or perhaps members of a mutant species developed by an enemy power designed to attack our population. I wonder if they might not be right, Sonic, eh?" Chuck asked, "Think what you want. I'm gone. Now that I know where my friends are, I'm outta here" Sonic says as he starts to leave the garage. "But Sonic, what are you gonna do when you get over there?" Steven asked, "Steven's right, Sonic, and if you show up at Area 99 they'll lock you up, too" Chris says. "They can't lock me up." Sonic says and the garage door closes in front of him. "Whoa!" Sonic says and gives a dirty look. "Open that door!" Sonic says as he turns back to Chris, Chuck and Steven. "Don't look at me, I didn't do it." Chris says waving his hands while Steven raises his hands up. "It wasn't me" Steven says, "Ha! It was me." Chuck says as he points to himself, leaving Sonic confused. "Huh?" Sonic asked, "You're gonna need some help, Sonic. I'll go with you" Chuck said, "Grandpa, are you serious?" Chris asked, "Of course I'm serious, and you're coming along, too. You told me you don't want to lead a boring life like your father, so here's your chance for some excitement." Chuck says, "Well, if you're up for it, I'm up for it. Just don't tell Dad." Chris says off screen. "All right. Let's get going" Chuck says, "Looks like we're gonna break in to save Cream and Cheese. This should be interesting..." Steven says in his head.

At a desert, Sonic, Steven, Chris and Chuck were driving on the road in Chuck's car with Chris and Chuck in the front and Sonic and Steven in the back. "It's gonna take forever to get there. I'd rather just go by myself" Sonic says with his arms cross. "Do you have a plan?" Steven asked, "Not really, but if they're not gonna play nice, then I'm gonna bust Cream and Cheese out by force" Sonic says, "Chill out" Chuck says, "Is it time?" Chris asked, "It's time" Chuck says and Chris gives Sonic a red scope and Steven a purple scope. "Put them on" Chris says as he shows them where they go. "What's this?" Sonic asked, "Infrared scopes" Chuck says off screen. "Scopes?" Steven asked as he looked at his. "I'm certain that Area 99 is full of infrared motion detectors that set off security. If you wear them, you may be able to avoid them." Chuck says off screen. "This is some State of the Art technology. Thank you" Steven says and Sonic puts his on while Steven slowly got his on right. "Like this?" Steven asked and Sonic gave him thumbs up. "You ready, partner?" Sonic asked. "Yeah, sure" Steven says and Sonic was the first to jump out of the car and run. "See ya later, guys" Sonic says as he speeds up. Steven was next to jump out and run. "Thank you, again! Good luck!" Steven says and he tries to catch up with Sonic while Chris looks at them amazed and Chuck looks at them in surprise. "That blue one is certainly are speedy little critter, isn't he? And the brown one sure knows how to keep up" Chuck says and gets excited that he speeds the car up and tries to catch up while Chris is leaning against the car seat as they start the break-in.

At Area 99, there are a lot of security systems that monitor every move the people do while inside and out.

Inside the security room, the security were doing their normal thing. They then see a scientist about to enter a room.

Inside the halls, the security camera was watching very closely as the scientist walks in the hallway.

Back in the security, the security continue to watch the scientists go up to a "Staff Only" door which was the Laboratory. The scientist puts in a password by scanning his eyes. "Identification number F-2-1-9-5-6-3. Confirmed" The computer voice says and the door opens and the scientist walks in.

Inside the laboratory, the scientist saw Cream and Cheese were inside a capsule while the other scientists are researching them. "We didn't do anything. Please let us out" Cream says as a camera goes up to Cream's face. "What kind of place is this? Cheese, we've gotta get out of here!" Cream says as the scientists watch the camera scanning the image on the computer and Cream was looking really worried.

Back with Steven, he caught up with Sonic and they were almost at Area 99. "Sonic, Steven, can you both hear me?" Chris asked from the scopes. "Yeah" Sonic says, "Loud and clear" Steven says as he and Sonic kept going. From afar, Chuck's car was driving in a distance. "Remember, when you two get to the main building" Chris says from the radio off screen.

With Chuck and Chris, Chris continues talking. "Go in through an air vent. That should be a blind spot for security" Chris says and looks at Chuck who nods his head. "Got it?" Chris asked "Got it." Sonic says from the headset. "Okay" Steven says from the headset. "But, Grandpa, after they get inside, how will they find where Sonic's friends are?" Chris asked and Chuck takes the headset from him. "Give me that" Chuck says before he puts the headset on. "Listen to me, Sonic and Steven. Once you get inside, you won't have much time, so think quickly and act quickly" Chuck says, "Grandpa, what if they don't?" Chris asked.

Back with Sonic and Steven, they heard Chuck. "Thanks for the tip. We're going in. Ready, Steven?" Sonic asked, "Ready" Steven says as they get closer to Area 99.

Back at Area 99, Sonic and Steven arrived and jumped over the gate. "Follow me and we won't get spotted" Sonic says. The cameras then suspected action happening.

Back in the security room, the cameras were moniroting the action. "Intruders alert. Sector D" the computer voice says off scree.

Back outside of Area 99, the security cameras continue monitoring the suspicions. "Intruders alert. Sector D." the computer voice says and Sonic and Steven ran past the cameras without being spotted. Sonic chuckled until he found the air vent. "Through there, Steven" Sonic says as he jumps. "Alright" Steven says as he followed from behind while the cameras continue monitoring.

Inside the vents, Sonic and Steven slid down. "We're inside the air vent." Sonic says.

Back with Chris and Chuck, Chris heard them from the headset. "Be careful" Chris says.

Back with Sonic and Steven, they reached the bottom and they both grunted a bit when they collided into each other. "Sorry..." Steven says as he rubs his forhead and Sonic then rubs his butt in pain. "Oh, oh. It feels like I have skid marks on my butt." Sonic says, "We were going pretty fast..." Steven says as he shakes his head. "Well now, let's see... Oh?" Sonic asked as he and Steven look ahead to see lasers. "What the, there's no way!" Sonic says, "What do we do?" Steven asked, "How's it looking there, guys?" Chris asked from the speaker. "Just great" Sonic says as he looked around. Steven then spotted an air vent. "Sonic, look" Steven says as he showed Sonic the air vent leading to a hallway with security cameras around. "This'll be a piece of cake" Sonic says, "Hopefully" Steven says as Sonic removes the cover. "I'll go first, Steven" Sonic says, "Okay, Sonic" Steven says and Sonic checks to make sure the area is clear before dropping down. Sonic checks again so Steven can come down. "Okay, Steven. Come down" Sonic says and Steven drops down and lands on the floor. "Go against the wall" Sonic says as he and Steven were against the wall and looked at the cameras. "What do we do now?" Steven asked while Sonic thinks. After a few seconds, Sonic stops thinking. "Alright, listen. I'll go first. After that, I'll give you the signal if it's safe to come to me. Just do what I do when coming to me, okay?" Sonic asked, "Okay..." Steven says as Sonic looks to make sure it was safe and zips through the hallway without being spotted. Sonic makes sure the cameras weren't pointing to where Steven's area was. Sonic then gives Steven the signal to come. Steven nodded his head and took a deep breath. "Here it goes..." Steven says before he zips through without being spotted. Steven managed to go up to Sonic. "Phew. That was close. That was actually easier than I thought" Steven says as he sighs in relief. "We're too fast for 'em. That's why" Sonic says until Steven noticed more cameras. "There's more up ahead" Steven says as they see more cameras in the hallway. "Heads up" Sonic says to Steven before going past the cameras. Steven then made sure it was safe before going. "All right! Now!" Steven says as he followed the same pattern and they continue to make they're way through the hallways.

Back inside the security room, security are still looking for the intruders from the cameras while the alarm was going off. "Searching for intruders. Searching for intruders. Searching for intruders." The security system says.

Back in the hallways, the security cameras continue to monitor while Sonic and Steven continue making their way through the hallway without being spotted. Steven learned to do the pattern all by himself so they ran past the cameras without any problems.

Back with Chris and Chuck, they park at a good distance from Area 99 so they wouldn't be detected from inside. "I wonder if they're okay." Chris says as they wait for Sonic and Steven.

Back inside the Laboratory, The scientists were gonna do a full scan on Cream and Cheese. Cream and Cheese huddled close to each other since they didn't like what's happening to them. The scientist gasped in surprise as they found something during the scan. "I don't like this" Cream says, "Chao" Cheese says as he chirps and looked at their surroundings.

Back in the hallways, Sonic and Steven found the entrance to the Laboratory that Cream and Cheese were in. "In there, huh?" Steven asked in his head. "Hmm, maybe that's where they are. We have to get inside and check it out. But this won't be easy. If it was just me, I could get out quick, but if I have to bring Cream and Cheese with me, I can't get too reckless. Hmm... maybe Steven can help me out on this one" Sonic says in his head. "How are we supposed to get in without being spotted? Iff only we could turn everything off around here" Steven says in his head. Before Sonic and Steven can say anything, the power in the base went out, leaving them confused on what happened. "Okay, I did not expect that to actually work" Steven says in his head.

Back in the security room, the monitors caught on where the electrical went out from. "Abnormality detected in the electrical system. Abnormality detected in the electrical system." The security system says.

Inside the electrical system room, there were a lot of small paper airplanes that cut through the wires and the wires were shooting sparks.

Back in the Laboratory, the scientsist were making a fuss. "Oh, great." A scientist says, "Now we can't see anything" Another scientist says while another one ran around. Suddenly, a sound of glass shatters catches their attention. "What the…" another scientists asked, "Hey, where'd they go?" another scientist asked as they saw that the glass capsule that had Cream and Cheese shattered with Cream and Cheese gone. Sonic, Steven, Cream and Cheese were then hiding in a corner. "Sonic…" Cream says, "Shhh!" Sonic says as he cuts her off, but Cheese was so happy that he chirped and hugged Sonic around the neck while Sonic was laughing a bit. Cream covered her mouth while Steven did his best not to giggle at the little moment until their cover was blown. "Over there!" one of the scientist says. Sonic, Steven, Cream and Cheese saw that they were spotted. "Let's go" Sonic says, "Right" Cream says and Steven nods his head. Sonic hands Cheese back to Cream and leads the way with Cream, Cheese and Steven following him.

Back in the electrical room, one of the electricians looks at one of the small paper airplanes. "What are these things?" The electrician asks as a small pink dot is going through the lined path. "Huh! Somebody has sabotaged the whole system. Boys, let's move it. We need the power back now!" The electrician orders as they work on getting the power back on.

Back in the hallways, while the power is out, Sonic, Steven, Cream and Cheese are making a run in the hallways trying to find an exit. "Wow, Sonic, how did you and your friend shut off all the electricity?" Cream asked, "We didn't do it, Cream. I guess it just happened." Sonic says, "Maybe it's just because you bring good luck everywhere you go, Sonic" Cream says, "You might be right." Sonic says until the power going back on, making them gasped. The cameras pointed at the animals before the animals stopped. "I shouldn't have said anything. It must be a jinx." Cream says "This isn't your fault" Sonic says to Cream and the cameras pull out small laser guns. "Guys..." Steven says as he saw the small laser guns. "Shoot! Cream, hang on. Steven, get ready" Sonic says, "Right!" Cream says, "O-Okay" Steven says nervously and they started running and the laser's started firing. Sonic, Steven, Cream and Cheese ran while avoiding the lasers in the hallways.

Back with Chris and Chuck, the alarm was heard from Area 99 and Chris is trying to get in touch with Sonic and Steven. "Sonic, what's going on? Are you, Steven and your friends alright?" Chris asked.

Back inside the hallways, Sonic, Steven, Cream and Cheese were still running while avoiding the lasers until a laser hits Steven on the shoulder and he shouts in pain and clings his shoulder. "Not exactly" Sonic said, "Ahh! My shoulder!" Steven says and Sonic looks to see Steven's shoulder. "Steven, are you alright?" Sonic asked. "I think so, but I don't know about my shoulder" Steven says in pain and Sonic looks up at the cameras and gets an idea before he lets go of Cream's hand. "Sonic" Cream calls out, "Run! Steven, take Cream!" Sonic says, "Sure! Hang on, guys!" Steven says as he takes Cream's hand while clinging on his shoulder. Sonic then jumps up and punches a camera goes to another one and points the laser at the other cameras and destroys them. Steven, Cream and Cheese stopped as they watch Sonic take out the cameras. As Sonic takes out the last camera, it crashes on the ground in front of Steven, Cream and Cheese. "Keep running!" Sonic says as he rips the camera he was using out. "Right! Hurry" Cream says as she, Cheese and Steven ran again before Sonic threw the camera on the floor.

Back in the security room, the security was about to put the whole Area 99 on lockdown. "D2 area lockdown in progress." The security system says.

Back in the hallways, the doors in the facility start closing. The next door starts closing and Steven held on to Cream's hand while ignoring the pain on his shoulder and trying to run to the door as fast as he can before it closes. "The door! We can't make it out" Cream says, getting Sonic's attention as he speeds up to them and pushes them all to the other side before the door closes from behind them. They smile in relief, but stop as there were more cameras firing lasers at them and Sonic gets in front of Cream, Cheese and Steven protecting them. Before anything else, Cream noticed a lot of tiny paper airplanes flying from the other direction. "Hey, what are they?" Cream asked, "Huh?" Steven asked as the tiny paper airplanes make their way towards them. Sonic gets ready while the tiny paper airplanes destroy the cameras, leaving them confused. "I don't understand. What's going on?" Cream asked, "We can't stick around and find out" Sonic says as he grabs Cream's hand again. "We gotta hurry!" Steven says as he, Sonic, Cream and Cheese continue running in the hallway before the door could close on them.

Back in the security room, as the whole place is on lockdown, the power in the base and the security room go out. "Facility lockdown in progress. Facility lockdown in progress. Facility lockdown in…" The security system gets cut off as the power is out everywhere in the Area 99. "Huh?" the security guards asked in confusion.

Back in the hallways, some of the hallways were pitched dark with cameras destroyed. Other ones go haywire and start destroy everything due to the tiny paper airplanes.

Back in the security room, one of the security guards saw what was happening. "The laser surveillance cameras are out of control!" the security guard says.

Everywhere in Area 99 was starting crumbling down due to the laser surveillance cameras blowing up the walls and areas.

Back with Sonic, Steven, Cream and Cheese, they are still trying to find the exit while going up the stairs and dodging the lasers. "Sonic, are we going to make it out?" Cream asked, "Don't worry, we'll make it" Sonic says, "I hope so" Steven says as they continue running up the stairs. Then suddenly, the laser cuts through the stairs they were on and breaks down. This caused Cream to fall and scream. This got Steven's attention as he saw this. "Oh no!" Steven says, getting Sonic's attention before Steven took the chance to jump down and catch her hand while Sonic grabs Steven's feet to prevent them from falling. Sonic and Steven tried to get back up while the lasers go through a few stairs with pieces falling everywhere. Cream was whimpering while holding Cheese and Sonic and Steven were trying their best to pull them back up and Steven was trying his best to ignore the pain on his shoulder. Another laser slices a piece from behind them and falls down while the one they were on is about to crumble due to the weight. As Steven saw the scared look on Cream's face, this gave him the courage to ignore the pain on his shoulder and use all his strength to pull her and Cheese up as he wanted to be heroic like Sonic is. After Steven got a good grip on Cream and Cheese, Sonic took the chance to pull all of them up. "Here, Sonic" Steven says as he handed Cream and Cheese to Sonic while Sonic carries Cream and Cheese bridal style and hops off the stairs that we're about to break. Steven took the chance to follow Sonic as the stair case he was on gets laser and breaks off. Sonic, Cream and Cheese jump from platform to platform while dodging the lasers and for Steven to catch up and follow Sonic's lead. Sonic, Cream and Cheese land on the top platform and Sonic puts Cream and Cheese down. Sonic looks down to see Steven make the last jump. Steven saw that he wasn't gonna make it until Sonic grabbed Steven's hand and pulls Steven up. "Thanks, Sonic" Steven says as he clings on his shoulder again while Sonic looks down at the destruction that was going. "See, Cream, I told you we'd make it out, and we did. You didn't doubt us, did ya?" Sonic asked Cream shook her head no. "Uh-uh. Thank you for saving us." Cream says as she clasped her hands together. "Ah, anytime, Cream, anytime" Sonic says as he gives her a thumbs up. Steven saw this and smiled while clinging on to his shoulder and chuckled a bit. Before anyone can say anything else, they hear a sound of a motor whirring. "Huh? Hey, what's that?" Sonic asked before taking his scope off and leaning his ear against the wall. "Huh?" Sonic asked, "What is that?" Steven asked.

Outside, the noise was coming from the Tornado Plane.

Back in Area 99, Sonic and Steven continue to listen. "Sounds like a plane" Sonic says, "An airplane?" Steven asked before Sonic recoginzes the noise. "The Tornado!" Sonic says.

Back outside, Tails was flying the Tornado 2 around the area as he wanted to make sure he was at the right place. "This must be the place" Tails says. Suddenly, Sonic breaks out of the base while holding onto Cream and Cheese with Steven behind. "All right, Sonic!" Tails says before he turns the Tornado 2 close to them. Sonic, Cream and Cheese held on to the right side of the wing and Steven held on to the left side of the wing and they all leave the Area 99.

Sonic then looks at Tails. "Hey!" Sonic says as he, Cream and Cheese look at Tails. "Ha-hah!" Tails says as he waves. "It was you. You were the one who helped us get out of here" Cream says, realizing it was Tails who sent the small paper airplanes. Tails gives them a wink. "I helped, but Sonic's the real hero" Tails says. Steven was hanging on tight while shielding his eyes and holding on to his shoulder. "It wasn't just me that's the hero, Tails. Steven over there is also the hero today" Sonic says off screen, getting Steven's attention and he looks to see Sonic, Tails, Cream and Cheese look. "I'm a hero, Sonic?" Steven asked, "That's right. If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't have gotten out of there" Sonic says. Steven thought about it and smiled. For the first time in his life, he felt like he did something heroic. "Thank you, Sonic. It was my pleasure" Steven says and Sonic gives him a thumbs up. "No problem, partner" Sonic says, "Hang on tight and try not to fall!" Tails says and the Tornado 2 turns to another direction away from Area 99.

Back with Chris and Chuck, they see the Tornado 2 with Sonic, Steven, Tails, Cream and Cheese on it. "Well, Chris, mission accomplished. Let's head for home." Chuck says while Chris smiles.

Back with the Tornado 2, Sonic, Steven, Tails, Cream and Cheese make their way out of Area 99 and fly through the desert.

Back at the garage of Thorndyke Mansion, the Tornado 2 is parked in front of the garage.

Inside the garage, Sonic is introducing Chris to Tails, Cream and Cheese while Chuck was looking at the tiny paper airplane in his hand and Steven was keeping a distance while letting Sonic have his reunion with his friends. Chuck also patched up Steven's shoulder with a bandage on Steven's shoulder. "My name's Christopher. Sonic landed in our swimming pool last night, and I dove in and saved him" Chris says, "My name's Tails, and I'm Sonic's very best buddy. Right, Sonic?" Tails asked, "Correct" Sonic says with his eyes closed. "My name is Cream, and this is my very special Chao friend Cheese. Thanks for helping us." Cream says before she and Cheese bow their heads. "It's very nice to meet all of you. I have a feeling we're all gonna become really good friends" Chris says. Steven smiled at the moment because he feels great that he managed to help Sonic find a couple of his friends, just like he promised he would. "There we go. Half of Sonic's friends rescued just like I wanted to. This is turning out to be a good start for me" Steven says in his head. "Hey, Steven. Come over here" Sonic says off screen, getting Steven's attention. Steven snaps back to reality and walks up to Sonic. "Yes, Sonic" Steven asked. "I want to introduce you to my friends here" Sonic says, "Oh, of course" Steven says as he faced Tails, Cream and Cheese. "Tails, Cream and Cheese, this is Steven. He's a Hedgehog that's been helping me look for you guys. And Steven, these are my friends, Tails, Cream and Cheese" Sonic says, "It's nice to meet you, Steven. My name's Miles "Tails" Prower. But you can just call me Tails" Tails says, offering Steven his hand to shake with. "It's nice to meet you too, Tails. It's great to meet the mechanical genius of Sonic's group of friends" Steven says as he and Tails shook hands. Tails then laughed a bit. "Yeah, I get that a lot. I'm glad to meet someone that's a friend of Sonic's. So a friend of Sonic's is a friend of mine" Tails says, "Thank you, Tails. I'm sure we'll become good friends" Steven says before he looks at Cream and Cheese. "Hello, Steven. My name is Cream and this is my Chao friend Cheese" Cream says and Cheese chirps. "Thank you for helping Sonic and saving us" Cream says as she and Cheese bow again. "It's nice to meet you well, Cream and Cheese. And it was my pleasure. I'm sure we'll all be good friends now" Steven says as they shook hands. "Not only will Steven help me from time to time, but I'll also train him to be heroic as me as to repay him for helping me" Sonic says, "Train him? Like a teacher teaching a student, Sonic?" Tails asked, "That's right" Sonic says, "Oh that would be good for you, Steven" Cream says and Cheese chirps, "You really think so?" Steven asked, "Yeah, and if you want, I can teach you on what I know as well" Tails says, "Same here" Cream says and Cheese chirps again. "Oh you guys don't have to" Steven says, "Don't worry, it's fine with me" Tails says, "Me too" Cream says and Cheese chirps again. "Well look at that, Steven. Your about to learn alot from us" Sonic says, causing Steven to chuckle a bit. "I guess so" Steven says, "I think you all are gonna get along very well together. Oh, and this is my grandfather" Chris says as he points his hand to Chuck and Tails and Cream turn to face him. "Extraordinary. Tiny radio-controlled airplanes. Extraordinary." Chuck says as he continues looking at the airplane. "We've got lots of neat gadgets," Tails says while rubbing his nose. Chris then realized something while Sonic had his eyes closed and arms behind his back. "Listen, Sonic This isn't some game we're playing, you know. You could've gotten us all thrown in jail, and not only that, Steven has cut on his shoulder now." Chris says, "Maybe I could've, but I didn't, did I? And I'm sure Steven will be fine. Right, Steven?" Sonic asked, "I think so, Sonic. It's alright, Chris. I'll be fine. I just have to take it easy for a bit" Steven says, "If you say so, Steven. Still though. Couldn't you try to be more careful, Sonic?" Chris asked, "Oh, huh" Sonic says as he just shrugs his shoulders while having his eyes closed. "This is an amazing piece of equipment" Chuck says, "Are you listening?" Chris asked off screen, "It goes beyond anything I've ever seen" Chuck says, "It was so dangerous for me..." Chris says off screen, "How did you develop it?" Chuck asked, "It's nothing special. Not in the world we come from." Tails says, "Because you said it was dangerous..." Chris says off screen, "And where exactly is that world, Tails?" Chuck asked, "It's a good thing that everything went all right, but..." Chris says off screen. "Beats me" Tails says while rubbing his head. "Are you listening?" Chris asked off screen, "But I think we got here through a warp in time and space." Tails says, "Sonic! Sonic!" Chris says off screen. "I don't think he is, Chris" Steven says off screen. "Hmm, very interesting. Not very helpful, but interesting." Chuck says, "Geez..." Chris says and Sonic chuckles and rubs the inside of his ear and Steven chuckled nervously too. "I just thought of something. If you and me and Cream and Cheese are here, maybe the others got here, too" Tails says, "You might be right about that, if you are, that means, maybe…" Sonic says as he thinks.

Back to reality, Sonic, Tails, Cream and Cheese knew the answer. "Eggman's here too!" Sonic, Tails and Cream said at the same time says except for Chris, Chuck and Steven. "Dr. Eggman? Oh no..." Steven says in his head nervously as he wasn't sure what was gonna happen if Dr. Eggman really is in this New World now.

On a deserted island with a sunset sky and waves crashing, Dr. Eggman's Fortress was transported to an island. There were small camera robots scanning the area.

Inside Dr. Eggman's Fortress, he, Decoe and Bocoe were looking out at the orange sea and sky. "So, we were transported into this world by Chaos Control. Very well then. I'll rebuild the foundation of the Eggman Empire here, and soon I'll rule the entire universe" Dr. Eggman says and he laughs maniacally.

Back outside of Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman continues laughing manically off screen thinking nothing was gonna stop him. The world right now has no concerns of an evil threat that will appear in the future.

Fu-tu-re (ミ・ラ・イ, Mi-ra-i)

Clips were playing from the next Chapter/Episode. "Hi! It's me, Steven the Hedgehog! As I was adjusting to living with new company, we got a broadcast signal intrusion that came from the evil mastermind Dr. Eggman! It seems that he was brought into this world too and was gonna make the human world his. He's made a big appearance with the help of an E-series robot named E-23 Missile Wrist to help Dr. Eggman. Tails and Chris went after, but they were outmatched. Suddenly, Amy and Knuckles made an appearance to join the fight, but they were backed out in a corner too. The only one who can put an end to this is Sonic, but he wasn't around so it looks like I have no choice but to join the fight and help out as best as I can! Next time on Sonic X: Steven the Hedgehog! "Dr. Eggman's Ambition" ("Missile Wrist Rampage"). Time to join the action!" Steven says off screen as the current Chapter/Episode ends.
