Steven's life began as a survivor in Sonic's World. Throughout the early years, Steven's heard stories about the adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends, who he wanted to be like despite his own flaws. But one day, Chaos Control happens and this caused Steven to meet Sonic, his friends along with new friends who will guide him to be one of the greatest heroes in the world.

7. Episode 6

Gotta Go Fast (Sonic X Theme) by NateWantsToBattle

The next morning at the Thorndyke Residence, it was another beautiful morning.

At the garage, Sonic was on the roof looking over at the field. After a few seconds, Sonic jumps and runs straight into the field where the sun is. After another few seconds, he runs back and stops in front of the garage side door. Amy then opens the door from inside. "Hey, where did you go?" Amy asked, "Just out" Sonic says before going inside while Amy looks at him. "Ah, he's so mysterious." Amy says in her head.

Fierce Battle! School Wars (Techno-Teacher)

Inside the dining room of the Thorndyke Mansion, Chris was eating breakfast that Ella cooked before the phone rang. Ella then brings a basket of fruits to the table while Mr. Tanaka answers the phone off screen. "Thorndyke Residence. Very good, sir." Mr. Tanaka says before hanging up the phone and going in the Dining room. "Your father has requested that I inform you that he and your mother will be stopping by for a visit this afternoon." Mr. Tanaka says, "Wow, Ella, they're coming to see me." Chris says, "What a nice surprise!" Ella says, "It's not even my birthday, Uh… Uh-oh!" Chris says as he thought of something. "Is there something wrong?" Mr. Tanaka asked, "No. I'm all done. Can I go now?" Chris asked, "Yes, go ahead." Ella says before Chris gets up from his chair and runs out the dining room, "See you later!" Chris says, leaving Ella confused. "Oh! Something is up." Ella says as she looks at Mr. Tanaka. "Hmm?" Mr. Tanaka asked in confusion.

Back at the garage, the birds were chirping off screen.

Inside Chuck's room of the garage, everyone was eating. Chuck was eating oatmeal while Sonic, Tails and Amy were sitting on bean bags and eating Hot Dogs and Hamburgers. Cream, Cheese were also sitting on bean bags and eating donuts as well as drinking tea. Steven was also on a bean bag eating strawberries. Chris was watching them eat before leaving for School. "I've gotta go to school, so I'm counting on you guys to stay out of sight when my parents show up" Chris says, "Gotcha. No problem" Tails says, "Yeah, sure. You can count on us." Amy says while giving a thumbs up. "We'll be fine" Steven says, "We understand" Cream says and Cheese chirps. "It won't be for long. Mom and Dad's visits have to be short, because they both have busy schedules" Chris says before Sonic finishes his hot dog and stands up. Steven and the others look at him in concern while Sonic walks towards the window. "Sonic?" Steven asked in his head. "Hey, Sonic?" Chris asked while Sonic ignored him and left. "Is he mad at me?" Chris asked, "Don't mind him" Amy says, "Get going, Chris. You'll be late for school if you don't hurry up" Chuck says as he points to the clock as it says 7:20 AM. Chris exclaimed and rushes down stairs but accidentally trips and slides down the stairs. "Oh no! Whoa!" Chris says before a loud thud was heard. "Chris!" Steven says before getting up and went downstairs to where Chris was and helped him up. "Chris, are you okay?" Steven asked off screen. "I'm okay. Thanks, Steven" Chris says off screen, causing the others to sigh in relief while Steven joins back with the others. "Chris sure is happy about his folk's visit, huh, Chuck?" Tails says to Chuck, "Mm-hmm, he is" Chuck says, "What do they do?" Amy asked, "Chris's dad is president of a huge software company" Chuck says, "A President?" Steven asked off screen.

A clip shows Nelson in his office doing paperwork. "Yes, Steven. He spends most of his time at the office or traveling on business." Chuck says off screen.

Back to reality, Amy was about to ask about Lindsey. "And what about his mom?" Amy asked, "She's a star" Chuck says, "A star?" Steven asked off screen.

The picture shows Lindsey modeling with her camera crew doing their job. "Yes. A famous actress, who jets all around the world making movies." Chuck says as the picture ends.

Back to reality, Chuck finished "His mom and dad are so busy that they rarely get to see Chris" Cream says and Cheese chirps. "I bet it's pretty tough for Chris not having his parents around most of the time." Tails says, "Yes" Chuck says, "He must miss them" Amy says, "Chris has parents and they hardly have a chance to see him. Chris must feel really sad inside to not see his parents all the time... Hmm..." Steven says in his head before he looked a little down. Steven slowly gets up and makes his way to the floor door. Chuck, Tails, Amy, Cream and Cheese watch Steven about to leave. "Steven? Where are you going?" Cream asked, "I'm just gonna get some fresh and air and maybe train a bit" Steven says before closing the floor door. Chuck, Tails, Amy, Cream and Cheese look at each other in concern. "Is he alright?" Tails asked, "I'm not sure" Amy says, "He seemed a little sad" Cream says and Cheese chirps. "He probably has something on his mind. Let's give him space for now" Chuck says and Amy, Tails, Cream and Cheese nodded.

With Sonic, he had his arms behind his head laying on the roof while looking at the sky. Sonic then noticed Steven walking in the yard. Steven lays down on the grass and closes his eyes."Why do I feel down all of a sudden? Was it because of how Chuck talked about Chris' parents, or is it just me? I'm probably overreacting. Maybe a nap can get my mind off of these things" Steven says in his head before closing his eyes. Sonic saw this and thought something was bothering Steven. "Something's bothering him. Maybe some training will help, but I'll wait until he's ready" Sonic says in his head and went back to looking at the sky.

At the ocean, Dr. Eggman's Fortress was seen and the waves were crashing around the island.

In the main room of Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman was thinking on how to take over the world as he rolled his chair back and forth while Decoe and Bocoe stood behind him. Dr. Eggman then grumbles. "I've got to think of something" Dr. Eggman says before grunting in annoyance. "I've got to think of a way to conquer this planet. Perhaps the children. Maybe one of my robots could brainwash the school kiddies so that they'd love me, and honor me, and look up to me as a hero, and they could persuade their parents to accept me as their ruler." Dr. Eggman says as Decoe hands him the tray of cards. "Here are your choices" Decoe says as Dr. Eggman takes the cards and checks them. "Hmm, let's see" Dr. Eggman says as he looks at them, but can't decided. "This is a tough one." Dr. Eggman says and grumples. Then he decided to put the cards in a slot. "I'll let the machine decide." Dr. Eggman says a he pulls a lever and the computer will decide like it's a slot machine. "Here we go" Dr. Eggman says as the slots spin. The slots stop on all 3 and shows a robot named E-51 Intelligente. "Perfect!" Dr. Eggman says.

At the hanger, the tunnel door opens to reveal E-51 Intelligente. E-51 Intelligente's face shines a bit before it flies away.

In the skies, above the ocean and mountains, E-51 Intelligente flies to it's location.

Above the land, E-51 Intelligente descends a bit.

At Chris's Elementary School, E-51 Intelligente landed on the ground and was about to go in.

In Chris's classroom, the children were doing a math problem that was on the board while Mr. Stewart was sleeping. "So, what do you think it is?" Frances asked, "I don't know." Danny says, "That doesn't even make sense" Chris says, "I don't even know where to start." Frances says, "I'm totally lost" One of the kids says, "Should we wake him up?" Chris asks, "No, don't" Danny says, "Then he'll put us to sleep." Frances says. Then suddenly, E-51 Intelligente barges inside the classroom with happy eyes on it's face. "My, my, What an intelligent-looking class!" E-51 Intelligente says, "Huh?" The children asked, "Oh, perhaps I've arrived during nap time." E-51 Intelligente says as Mr. Stewart wakes up a bit. "Huh?" Mr. Stewart asked before he wakes up. "Uh, I'm sorry. What are you?" Mr. Stewart asked, "Hmm, I'll give you three guesses, young man." E-51 Intelligente says, "You're a robot?" Mr. Stewart asked, "A robot teacher" E-51 Intelligente says as it walks up to him with an angry look in its face. "Hmm. Goodbye. I'm taking over." E-51 Intelligente says, "You are?" Mr. Stewart asked, "I am" E-51 Intelligente says, "How's that? Oh!" Mr. Stewart says as E-51 Intelligente grabs Mr. Stewart by the shirt and throws him out the classroom. This made the children gasp.

Outside of Chris' classroom, Mr. Stewart screams as he was thrown out of the classroom. "Ow!" Mr. Stewart says in pain. Mr. Stewart then sits up a bit looking angry. "They're replacing me with a robot, huh? Wait till I give that principle a piece of my mind!" Mr. Stewart says and grumbles.

Back at the yard of the garage of the Thorndyke Mansion, Steven woke up from his short nap as he lets out a yawn and stretches. "That was a good nap, but I need to do something to not let it get to me again" Steven says to himself. Sonic saw Steven wake up before jumping off of the roof of the garage. Sonic then walks up to Steven. "Hey, Steven" Sonic says, "Oh. Hey Sonic" Steven says, "Are you alright?" Sonic asked before offering a hand to help Steven up. Steven accepted it and got up. "For now, but earlier I was feeling a bit down" Steven says, "Do you want to talk about it?" Sonic asked, "I wish, but I don't know what it is exactly" Steven says as he chuckled a bit. "Maybe it'll come back to you later and when it does, you know where to find me" Sonic says, "Thanks, Sonic" Steven says as he smiled a bit. "Anyway, you ready to do more training today?" Sonic asked, "Yeah. Sure" Steven says, "Okay. Follow me because today's training is gonna be off-home" Sonic says before he runs off. Steven follows Sonic and they run straight into the sun.

At the Principal's office of Chris' Elementary School, the Principle was drinking his coffee. "Delicious" The Principle says before Mr. Stewart barges inside, causing the Principal to spill the coffee on his head. "How dare you- Oh" Mr. Stewart says as the principal was in pain.

Back with Sonic and Steven, they were by a lake and there was a tree that acted as a bridge. Steven was holding a log again. "Alright, Rookie. I've a lot of places in my mind that I want to take you to help you with your training. The first is at this lake, and today gonna work on your balancing skills. Balance is a great way to learn not to stress yourself when you feel pressured. It's also a good way to learn not to get distracted by little things" Sonic says, "Oh okay" Steven says, "So I want you to walk across the tree bridge to the other side with that log without losing your balance. Once you reach the end, turn around, walk back and then repeat the same steps. You think you can do that?" Sonic asked, "I think so" Steven says, "Okay, you can start whenever you're ready" Sonic says. Steven takes a deep breath and made his way on the tree bridge. Steven struggled a bit while holding onto the log before he got his balance a bit. "Careful, Rookie. One foot in front of the other" Sonic says before Steven slowly walked on the tree bridge. "Now, balance. Balance" Sonic says as Steven was walking carefully before he almost slipped, but manage to regain his balance back. "Concentrate, Rookie" Sonic says, "Phew! This is a bit challenging, but I've got to do this!"Steven says in his head before he continued this training back and forth.

Back outside of Chris' classroom of Chris's Elementary School, The Principle explained to Mr. Stewart as they walked towards Chris' classroom. "I'm glad to know you never hired that robot. My students will be relieved too." Mr. Stewart say before hearing the children laughing off screen. "Huh?" Mr. Stewart and the Principle asked, getting their attention. "Hmm?" Mr. Stewart asked as he looks through the window.

Back inside Chris' classroom, E-51 Intelligente was teaching. "And that's how to crack an equation. Mathematics is a breeze when you keep your eye on the pie" E-51 Intelligente says before showing it's happy eyes. "Now it's starting to make sense" Chris says, "It's easy" Frances says, "All right!" Danny says while giving thumbs up. "Me too!" A child says as some other children give a thumbs up.

Back outside the classroom, the Principal is impressed. "That robot is a great teacher." The principle says, "Huh?" Mr. Stewart asked with a blank look. "Sit in on his class and study his technique." the Principle says as he chuckles and pats Mr. Stewart before walking away, leaving Mr. Stewart to whine. "But, sir…" Mr. Stewart says before he starts getting angry and looks back inside the classroom and grumbles.

Back inside the classroom, the children enjoy E-51 Intelligente teaching them, causing them to laugh. "Thank you, class. It's an honor to teach you." E-51 Intelligente says as it's eyes sparkle.

Back outside the classroom, Mr. Stewart continues watching. "There's something fishy here. I better check this out with headquarters." Mr. Stewart says as he smiles with his glasses shining.

Back with Sonic and Steven, they were now at a dirt area where Steven was walking through the dirt ground with his legs half deep while continuing to hold the log. Sonic was walking on a smooth road. "Hurry, Rookie! Step lively. Otherwise the dirt is gonna swallow you up" Sonic says as Steven was panting while walking through the dirt road. "This training gets more challenging every time I go forward. I wonder what will the results be by the time I pass them all..."Steven says in his head while he continues his training.

In the hallways in Chris' Elementary School, Mr. Stewart sneaks his into the hallway like he was a spy before going up to the entrance of the boy's bathroom. Mr. Stewart looks around before entering and closing the door.

In the boy's bathroom, Mr. Stewart goes to one of the toilets and pulls out an ear piece from his watch and puts it in his ear. "Come in. This is Chalkboard Charlie calling homeroom with a code red priority alert." Mr. Stewart says to the watch.

At a secret Headquarters, Mr. Stewart explained the situation to one of the radio men. "Let me get this straight. You want us to send our land, sea, and air forces because a robot kicked you out of your classroom?" A radio man asked, "Roger, I'll transmit my coordinates!" Mr. Stewart says.

A clip shows the Army tanks, the Navy ships, and Air Forces.

Back to reality, the radio man laughs from the thought of making the situation a big deal. "Wait til control hears this." The Radio man says as pounds his fist on his desk

Back to Chris's Elementary School, Mr. Stewart receives a little electrical shock in his ear due to the impact of the fist slam, causing Mr. Stewart to shout and grunt in pain. The ear piece then falls off his ear. "Seems like we're having technical difficulties, I'll have to go to the police." Mr. Stewart says as his eye twitches a bit.

At a Police Department, a police car was parked outside.

Inside the Police Department, a cop who was eating a lot of burgers from a fast food place was talking to Mr. Stewart over the phone. "So, you were assaulted by a robot who took over your class, and now, he's holding all of your students prisoner? Stay right there. I'll be over in a jiff to investigate." The cop says.

Back with Sonic and Steven, they were now by a waterfall as Steven was walking through the waterfall while carrying the log above his head. Sonic was standing across the land. "Stand firm, Rookie. Don't fall with the water" Sonic says, "I'm... Not... Gonna... Fall... In... The... Water..." Steven says in his head. Steven spits a bit of water out as he continues struggling with the current pushing him a bit and continues with the training.

Back outside of Chris's Elementary School, Mr. Stewart was being impatient while waiting outside for the cop. Mr. Stewart than grumbles, "Where is that cop? He's late. Huh? There he is!" Mr. Stewart says as hears sirens and sees the Cop's car park in the front. "Well, finally!" Mr. Stewart says before jumping up and down like an idiot. "Hurry up! Hurry up! Hurry up!" Mr. Stewart says before running back to the entrance while the cop takes his time walking as he eats his burger."Come on, Officer! The kids are in danger! Let's move it!" Mr. Stewart says.

Back outside Chris' classroom, Mr. Stewart runs up to the class door. "Just remember, the robot's dangerous!" Mr. Stewart says as the cop continues to chew his burger and mutter.

Mr. Stewart swings the door open and gasped. "Huh?" Mr. Stewart asked as he and the cop saw that the children weren't in class. "That mechanical menace kidnapped the kids!" Mr. Stewart says.

Outside in the school yard, E-51 Intelligente and the kids were about to play baseball. "I've always wanted to play baseball. Shall we?" E-51 Intelligente asked as the children cheer as they say "Yes". "Well, what are we waiting for? Play ball!" E-51 Intelligente says with happy eyes as it lifts its bat in the air. Some children started doing pitches while the rest were holding baseball bats. "Throw it to me!" a student says, "Yeah, over here!" another student says. Mr. Stewart and the cop enter the school yard. Mr. Stewart then points at E-51 Intelligente is. "Right there! You knock it down, and I'll attempt to disable its power supply! There's no time to lose!" Mr. Stewart says as E-51 Intelligente was teaching Chris how to pitch. "Remember to keep your wrist relaxed all through the pitch. Like so. You see?" E-51 Intellihente asked as the cop thought it was harmless, leaving Mr. Stewart to stare in shock. "Doesn't seem like those kids are in danger to me. In fact, it looks like they're having a great time. I wish I was out there playing." The cop says as he takes another bite on his burger, then Mr. Stewart gets annoyed. "Stop pigging out and arrest him!" Mr. Stewart says as he takes the cop's burger out of his hand. "-Hey!" The cop says before taking out his stick. "I'm nailing you for burger burglary!" the cop says, "Ah!" Mr. Stewart says as he runs away while the cop chases him. "Drop that sandwich, scumbo!" the cop says, "Come on!" Mr. Stewart says as the chase continued.

Back with Sonic and Steven, they were running on the field with Steven still holding on to the log. Steven was panting as he ran. "Faster, Rookie! Faster! You're almost there!" Sonic says before running ahead as they were about to reach the Thorndyke Mansion.

Back at the yard of the Thorndyke Mansion, Sonic made it back and waited for Steven to arrive. After a few seconds, Steven arrived back. "Good job, Rookie!" Sonic says before Steven puts the log down and collapsed on the ground. Steven was tired as he was panting for air. "I... Did... It..." Steven says as he pants. "Huh? What was that, Rookie?" Sonic asked, "I said... "I did it"...!" Steven says, "You sure did, Rookie. You even impressed me a bit today. So since you've progressed a lot, I've decided to take training easy on you for the next few did good today, but after the next few days we'll try something new for you so get plenty of rest. As soon that day comes, we'll begin the next session of your training, okay?" Sonic asked as he offered to help Steven up. "Yeah... Sure..." Steven says as he slowly gets up. Steven groans as he felt his legs shake. "I feel so worn out... My arms feel numb... And my legs feel like they're not gonna stand for much longer... This is the most intense movement I've ever done..." Steven says as they start to walk towards the side door. "I know, Steven. Listen, I know this is a-lot for you, but trust me, this will all be worth it in the end. I'm willing to do whatever it takes for you to be heroic like me and my friends, okay?" Sonic asked as he offers a fist bump. Steven weakling lifted his fist and they did a fist bump. "Okay..." Steven says, "Here" Sonic says as he gave Steven a stick to use as a cane. Steven chuckled a bit. "Thanks, Sonic..." Steven says as they then make their way inside the garage.

Back at Dr. Eggman's Fortress, it was still day time.

Back in the main room of Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman was getting impatient as he was wondering if E-51 Intelligente completed it's mission while Decoe and Bocoe stand next to him. "I wonder if Intelligente has successfully brainwashed those brats into admiring me yet. I'd better look and see how it's going." Dr. Eggman says before pressing a button to reveal a camera footage. The screen showed the school yard of Chris' Elementary School as the children continue playing baseball. "There he is" Decoe says, "Ugh, What's this?" Dr. Eggman asked.

Back in the School yard of Chris's Elementary School, E-51 Intelligente was batting as they were all playing a game of baseball with Danny being the catcher and Chris being the pitcher. "You can do it, teacher!" A child says, "Come on!" another child says, "I'm ready." E-51 Intelligente says, "Put it over the plate." Danny says as Chris nodded, "You can do it. Throw the curveball." Frances says off screen as Chris throws the ball with all his might. "Perfect pitch for me!" E-51 Intelligente says as it hits the ball. "Whoa!" Chris says as he and the children see how high the ball went as it disappeared with a twinkle in the sky. "Wow!" A child says, "Ah!" Danny says in shock. "Mr. Intellihente is amazing!" Frances says, "My first home run! How thrilling! Baseball is such an exhilarating activity!" E-51 Intelligente says as he drives on all four base.

In Outer Space above Earth, there was a satellite that was monitoring the whole thing.

Back at Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe saw everything from the Satellite's camera. "Intelligente sure is a hit with the students! They love him!" Decoe says, "Good for him!" Bocoe says, "He's supposed to make those kids love me… not himself!" Dr. Eggman says as he gets angry.

Above the Thorndyke Mansion, two black choppers moved out the way the white one lands on a Helipad of the Thorndyke Mansion. Ella and Mr. Tanaka were on the roof as well. The chopper stops its engine and a ladder steps down with a couple of agents escorting Lindsey and Nelson out. "Welcome home" Mr. Tanaka and Ella say at the same time as they bow. "Thank you" Lindsey and Nelson said at the same time and Chuck comes outside. "Lindsey, Nelson!" Chuck says, "Good to see you, Dad!" Nelson says, "Hello, Father. How is everything going here at home?" Lindsey asked, "Wonderfully well, now that the two of you are here." Chuck says as they make their way inside, "When does Chris get back from school?" Nelson asked as everyone steps inside with Mr. Tanaka and Ella carrying the suitcases.

Back at the garage, Tails, Amy, Cream, Cheese and Steven saw everything with Tails, Amy, Cream and Cheese looking from the window while Steven looked from the roof with Sonic napping next to him. "That's Chris's mama and papa?" Cream asked, "Chao!" Cheese says, "Chris's dad seems like a nice guy." Tails says, "His mom is really pretty." Amy says before turning to the left. "Don't you think so, Sonic?" Amy asked, "Hmm" Sonic says, "Oh..." Amy says in defeat. Steven then started to feel a bit down again. "I'm getting that feeling again..." Steven says in his head. Tails then noticed the look on Steven's face. "Steven, what's wrong?" Tails asked, causing Amy, Cream and Cheese to look at Steven while Sonic opens his one eye to look at Steven as well. "Are you okay, Steven?" Amy asked, "Did something make you sad?" Cream asked, "Chao?" Cheese asked. Steven noticed the looks on the other's faces and quickly changes his expression. "Huh? Oh! It's nothing. Don't worry, guys. I'm fine" Steven says as he chuckled nervously before looking at the sky. Tails, Amy, Cream and Cheese look at each other in confusion before buying it. Sonic saw this and quickly realized what was making Steven look sad. "So that's it..." Sonic says in his head.

Back in the Schoolyard of Chris's Elementary School, Danny was next in batting and the children cheers for him, "Yay!" Frances says off screen. "Go, Danny!" a child says, "Knock it out!" another child says and Danny hit the ball. "Wow, nice shot!" Chris says, "That one's gone!" Frances says as the ball was gonna go over the wall, but E-51 Intelligente drives forward. "Diving catch!" E-51 Intelligente says before it flies up and catches the ball before it went over. "That's the greatest catch ever!" Chris says surprised along with the others while Danny stopped running. "Whoa, he's cool!" Frances says as she claps her hands. E-51 Intelligente goes back on the ground. "Well, well, well! It seems the old retro thrusters aren't as rusty as I thought" E-51 Intelligente says before laughing. "Reminds me of my early days on the cricket field When I was a little bigger than a laptop" E-51 Intelligente says off screen before Bokkun flies down to it. "Message for you" Bokkun says and E-51 Intelligente stops laughing and looks at Bokkun. "Huh!? Bokkun?" E-51 Intelligente asked, "Doctor Eggman has a message for you." Bokkun says, "Hmm...? A message?" E-51 Intelligente asked with a question mark beside it's head. "How'd you like to visit the junkyard!?" Bokkun asked while getting angry, "Do you mean he's miffed at me?" E-51 Intelligente asked, "Sure the Doc's angry at you! Those kids are supposed to get stuck on him, not you, bucket brain!" Bokkun says before E-51 Intelligente shows it's happy eyes. "That used to be my mission." E-51 Intelligente says, leaving Bokkun shocked. "Huh?" Bokkun asked then gets angry again and yells. "I can't believe you!" Bokkun says, "I'm afraid all that's changed." E-51 Intelligente says, "Huh? How come?" Bokkun asked, "I was sent here to make these students admire Doctor Eggman, but I found it far more rewarding to be admired myself." E-51 Intelligente says, "What? You blew a circuit or something? Don't you know Doctor Eggman will turn you into scrap metal, you barrel of bolts!?" Bokkun asked as they didn't notice the children gather around E-51 Intelligente to see what's going on. "Huh? Mr. Intelligente, what's going on?" Frances asked, "Doctor Eggman may do with me as he wishes, but I refuse to abandon the student in my charge." E-51 Intelligente says standing up for itself. This made the children smile. "You're the bravest teacher I know. I wished all teachers were as great as you are." Frances says, "Me too" Chris says, "Same here" Danny says as E-51 Intelligent feels loved by showing heart shaped eyes. "Oh, thank you. That's wonderful!" E-51 Intelligente says as it cries in happiness. "Stop crying and teach those kids to admire Doctor Eggman!" Bokkun says before sobbing a bit. "Now I'm crying!" Bokkun says as he gives up and rubs his finger on the grass.

Back at Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe saw the whole thing. "Oh my!" Bocoe says, "He lost it..." Decoe says, "That crybaby" Dr. Eggman says as he got angry and grumbles. "Ha, they should like me!" Dr. Eggman says as he continues to growl.

Back in the Schoolyard of Chris's Elementary School, the school bell was heard as the school day was over. "I'll see you all tomorrow, class" E-51 Intelligente says as the children put away the baseball equipment away in a box. "See ya" a child says, "See you later" another child says, "Bye-bye" and another child says to E-51 Intelligente. "I've gotta hurry home now, guys" Chris says, "Yeah? How come?" Frances asked, "'Cause my mom and dad are coming home for a visit. See ya" Chris says as he walks away, but stops as he hears a noise. "Huh?" Chris asked and screams as he sees Dr. Eggman in his Eggmobile before Dr. Eggman gets out with a strap of tools in his hand. "Intelligente!" Dr. Eggman says, "Oh, my hard drive! It's you!" E-51 Intelligente says in fright, "I bet you think you're smart for disobeying my orders, you transistorized traitor. But I'll fix you" Dr. Eggman says as he puts the strap on. "Oh, no! Please don't disassemble me!" E-51 Intelligente says before going up to Chris and grab him. "Chris, help me get away." E-51 Intelligente says, "Huh? But what about what you said a few minutes ago when you swore you'd never abandon us no matter what Doctor Eggman threatened to do to you?" Chris asked, "I really said "no matter what"?" E-51 Intelligente asks, "You did." Frances says looking mad. "We all heard it" Danny says also looking mad. "I suppose there's no way around it was I thinking?" E-51 Intelligente asked as Dr. Eggman laughs. "What's so funny?" Chris asked, "You don't really believe that sniveling circuit box plans to keep his promise? I'm ordering him to keep you in detention where you'll be forced to respect me." Dr. Eggman says, "No way!" Chris says in shock, "What a snake!" Danny says, "Listen, robot, unless you want to end up in a scrap head, you'll follow my orders" Dr. Eggman says. E-51 Intelligente grunted and sweat-drop a bit before changing his eyes angry. "Sir!" E-51 Intelligente says as he salutes. "I'm not staying! I've gotta go home." Chris says as he walks away, but suddenly E-51 Intelligente grabs him by the shirt. "Not so fast" E-51 Intelligente said before lifting Chris up. "You'll stay in detention with the rest till Doctor Eggman dismisses you." E-51 Intelligente says.

Back at the Thorndyke Mansion, Sonic was looking at the sky from the roof of the Thorndyke Mansion and was wondering what's taking Chris so long to get home from school. Tails, Amy, Cream, Cheese and Steven were looking through the window of the Thorndyke Mansion to see how everyone was doing. "Huh" Amy, Cream, Cheese and Tails said while Steven stayed silent.

Inside the Thorndyke Mansion, Nelson, Chuck and Lindsey was wondering what was taking Chris so long to get home. "I wonder what's keeping Chris. He knows you two are here to see him" Chuck says, "What if there's been an accident?" Lindsey asked, "I'm sure my security people would find out and contact me." Nelson says, "You're right. He's probably playing with his friends and simply hasn't notice the time" Lindsey says.

In the kitchen, Ella was heating up chicken in the microwave as well as making soup. "I wonder what's keeping Chris. Dinner's almost ready." Ella says off screen as she was cooking dinner. "Perhaps I should go and look for him." Mr. Tanaka says, "You know the Thorndykes don't want Chris babied or treated different from other kids. I'm sure he's fine." Ella says.

Back in the living room, Nelson grumbles before standing up. "I'm going to look for the boy!" Nelson says, "Nelson, have some faith in your son!" Lindsey says, "Uh, right. He's a level-headed boy, and I'm sure there's a good reason why he's late" Nelson says before freaking out. "We have to stay calm!" Nelson says, "He hasn't changed since he was a boy" Chuck says in his head.

Back outside of the Thorndyke Mansion, Tails, Amy, Cream and Cheese were concerned. "They seem very worried" Cream says, "Chao..." Cheese says, "I'm getting worried now, too" Amy says, Steven saw this and puts on a serious face as he thought of something. "Don't worry. I'll make sure Chris comes back home to his family" Steven says in his head. "Sonic" Cream says, "Chao" Cheese says, "Hey Sonic" Tails says, "Could you go look?" Amy asks as they didn't get an answer from the roof. "Huh" Tails, Amy, Cream and said and look at each other. It revealed that Sonic wasn't on the roof anymore. Cream then notices Steven looking at the direction he was gonna leave at. "Did you see where Sonic went, Steven?" Cream asked as she, Cheese, Amy and Tails look at him. "Yeah" Steven says before running off. This left Amy, Tails, Cream and Cheese confused before following Steven.

Inside Chuck's room of the garage, Steven enters the room and grabs his blaster weapon from a case it was in before leaving the room.

Back outside, Tails, Amy, Cream and Cheese arrived at the garage to see Steven coming outside. "Where are you going, Steven?" Amy asked, "To follow Sonic. I have a feeling that Chris and his friends are in trouble" Steven says, "What do you mean?" Tails asked, "I think there's something else keeping Chris and his friends in school and I saw how worried his parents looked. So I'm gonna check it out too" Steven says, "Your gonna go help Sonic then?" Tails asked, "Yeah. Once I catch up to him, me and Sonic are gonna save Chris and his friends. We'll make sure Chris comes back home safely, but I have to hurry. We'll be right back, guys" Steven says before activating his grapple gun and leaving the Thorndyke Mansion. Tails, Amy, Cream and Cheese looked surprised. "He seemed really serious" Tails says, "I wonder why?" Amy asked, "Maybe it has something to do with how he's been feeling lately" Cream says, "Chao, chao" Cheese says as they all look at each other.

At Station Square, Sonic was running on the street as he was on his way to Chris's Elementary School. Sonic then heard a grapple gun noise and saw Steven land and run next to him. "Hey, Steven. You want to help me out on this one?" Sonic asked, "Yes, Sonic. I feel like that Chris and his friends are in trouble" Steven says, "Yeah, I had the same feeling as well" Sonic says, "And for some reason after I saw how worried Chris's parents were, it gave me a push of courage to make sure that returns home" Steven says, "Yeah. I can tell why you feel that way" Sonic says, "Huh? What do you mean?" Steven asked, "I'll tell you when this is taken care of. I've got a plan for when we get there" Sonic says, "What kind of plan?" Steven asked, "A one two punch type plan" Sonic says before whispering his plan to Steven. "You got that?" Sonic asked, "Sure, I think I can do it" Steven says, "Okay. Let's go, partner!" Sonic says as he speeds up with Steven doing his best to catch up to Sonic as the continue to make they're way to Chris's Elementary School.

Back in the School yard of Chris' Elementary School, the children were supposed to draw a sketched picture of Dr. Eggman while Dr. Eggman poses. "For today's art class, we will sketch the illustrious figure of the great Doctor Eggman. As you draw, take special note of the Doctor's noble visage and dignified bearing." E-51 Intelligente says off screen and the children struggle to sketch. "Does this pose inspire you?" Dr. Eggman asked while doing a pose. "How about something more dynamic?" Dr. Eggman asked as he changed his pose. Chris then got annoyed. "Ugh, it doesn't matter how Eggman stands, he'll always look terrible." Chris says.

Back with Sonic, he continued running with Steven nowhere in sight.

Back in the School yard of Chris' Elementary School, a blue blur was about to pass by. "Huh?" Chris asked as the blue blur ran passed everyone, causing the sketchbooks to fly in the air. "Huh? Huh?" Danny asked, "Hey, what was that?" Frances asked, "What?" E-51 Intelligente asked in confusion. Sonic then ran up on a poll and into the sky. "Perhaps a pose like a champion." Dr. Eggman says as he poses again. "You mean a chump! You're so busy showing off, you haven't noticed we're under attack!"Intellihente says with angry look on its face. "Hmm?" Dr. Eggman asked as he looks around and spots Sonic land on top of the poll and stand while smiling. "I always knew you were a poser, Eggman." Sonic says, "Huh. Intelligente" Dr. Eggman says, "Yes, sir" E-51 Intelligente says, "Get rid of Sonic!" Dr. Eggman says, "Who's Sonic?" Frances and Danny asked at the same time, "Huh" Chris says surprised, "Yes, sir, Whatever you say!" E-51 Intelligente says as the cap on its head lifts up and missiles fire from his head. The missiles then aim at Sonic. "C'mon!" Sonic says as he jumps down while avoiding the missiles. Sonic landed on the ground and ran while the lock-on missiles followed him. "You're turn, buddy!" Sonic says. Steven to pop out from the other side of the fence and aimed his blaster at the missiles. Dr. Eggman, E-51 Intelligente, Chris and the children were surprised to see Steven come out of nowhere. Steven fired his blaster at the missiles, causing them to explode while Sonic charges at E-51 Intelligente. Sonic slammed his head on E-51 Intelligente's chest. "Oh..." E-51 Intelligente says in pain before a bright light appeared around it. E-51 Intelligente then exploded. The children look surprised while they shielded themselves from the explosion. Sonic then walks out of the smoke. "Wow!" Danny says, "He's tough. And so is that other hedgehog" Frances says, "Yeah" Danny says, "Here, Sonic, your prize" Dr. Eggman says as Sonic stops in front of him. "What prize?" Sonic asked while Steven runs up to Sonic. "In honor of this battle today I wasn't to present you with the Eggman super seal" Dr. Eggman says as he pulls out a sticker with his face on it. "I don't want a booby prize!" Sonic says as he crossed his arms. Dr. Eggman then faces Steven. "How about you?" Dr. Eggman asked, "No thank you" Steven says, "Fine. You take it" Dr. Eggman says while showing the stickers to the children. "No thanks. Keep it" Chris says, "Yuck, who'd want that?" Francis says, "Nasty" Danny says, "All right, I'll wear it myself!" Dr. Eggman says as he puts the sticker on himself. "Bye!" Dr. Eggman says as he jumps inside his Egg Mobile and flies away. "He's a weirdo" Frances says, "Yeah" Danny says, "He could keep me after school for a million years and I still wouldn't admire him." Chris says while Steven walks up to Chris. "Are you and everyone else alright, Chris?" Steven asked, "Yeah, we're fine now. Thanks to you and Sonic" Chris says, "No problem, Chris" Steven says, "You better hurry home, Chris, your parents are waiting." Sonic says, "Yeah, that's right" Chris says before running off. "Let's go, Steven" Sonic says as he was about to run. "You go on ahead, Sonic. I'll go with Chris on the way back" Steven says, "Okay, I'll see you guys back home" Sonic says as he ran past Chris. Steven then ran next to Chris. "I'll go with you home, Chris" Steven says, "Okay Steven. Let me get my bag first" Chris says as he went inside the Elementary School while Steven runs to the front. "That blue hedgehog is so cool!" Danny says, "He sure is. And that brown hedgehog is wonderful" Frances says as they watch them leave.

Back in Station Square, the sky was orange and Chris and Steven were walking on the sidewalk. "Thanks for saving us today, Steven" Chris says, "You're welcome, Chris" Steven says, "How did you know I was in trouble?" Chris asked, "Well... When I saw how worried you're parents were, I felt bad for them. But for some reason when I saw that everyone was getting worried, it gave me the courage to make sure you return home to your family" Steven says as he looked up at the sky. Chris saw the look on Steven's face and was concerned. "Steven. Is there something you want to talk about?" Chris asked, causing Steven to snap out of it. "Huh? Oh. No. It's fine, Chris" Steven says as he chuckled. "Are you sure?" Chris asked, "I'm sure, Chris" Steven says with a smile on his face. "Okay, then" Chris says, not wanting to force Steven. "Hey, wanna have a little race?" Steven asked, "A race? But you're faster than me" Chris says, "I mean I'll go the same pace a normal human runs" Steven says, "Okay sure. Let's go!" Chris says. Steven and Chris race and laughed happily through Station Square. Then suddenly, Mr. Stewart comes out of an alleyway and sees Chris and Steven running while holding the same burger he stole from the cop. "You know, maybe there's more to being a schoolteacher than just passing out homework and taking naps in class." Mr. Stewart says before he bites on a burger as he didn't notice the same cop stand behind him while patting his stick. "Enjoying my burger, bub?" The cop asked, causing Mr. Stewart to turn around with the burger in his mouth. Mr. Stewart than ran with the cop chasing him. "Look here!" Mr. Stewart says, "Hey, get back here! Stop chewing, you thief!" the cop says, "Wait a minute!" Mr. Stewart says, "One more nibble, and I'll call out the SWAT team!" The cop says, "What are you doing!? I'm not causing trouble" Mr. Stewart says as the chase continues in Station Square.

Back outside of the Thorndyke Mansion, Chris and Steven made it back. Chris then catches his breath. "That was fun" Chris says, "It sure was. I'm gonna join the others. I'll see you later, Chris" Steven says, "Okay. Bye, Steven" Chris says as Steven ran off towards the garage. Steven saw Chris enter the Thorndyke Mansion. "I did it..."Steven says in his head while smiling.

Inside the Thorndyke Mansion, Chris enters. "Hey, Mom and Dad, I'm home!" Chris says and Nelson and Lindsey run up to him. "It's Chris!" Nelson says, "Oh, Chris!" Lindsey says as they get in a group hug and laugh. "Son" Nelson says, "Oh, my. I was so worried!" Lindsey says, "I told your mother you could look after yourself, but she wouldn't listen." Nelson says, "Sorry, I got held up at school" Chris says while Chuck watches them.

In the dining room, the family were eating dinner while Nelson laughs. "Of course I knew there was absolutely nothing to worry about. You know, when I was your age, I was kept after school a few times myself." Nelson says as he laughs again. "Oh, I'm sure Chris is better behaved than you were, dear." Lindsey says, "Oh, I know." Nelson says as he laughs again. "That's for sure. Actually, Chris, your father was more worried about your absence than he lets on. Wasn't he, Tanaka?" Chuck asked, "Well, Mr. Thorndyke was concerned enough to phone the president." Mr. Tanaka says, "Huh?" Chris asked in surprised. "And Mrs. Thorndyke called all the TV networks to get the bulletin on the nightly news." Ella says, "Oh, I didn't call all of them." Lindsey says and they all laugh. They didn't notice Amy, Cream, Cheese, Tails and Steven looking from the window with smiles on their faces as they watch the family chat. "The Thorndyke's seem like a real nice family, don't they, guys?" Tails asked.

Back outside, Tails, Amy, Cream, Cheese and Steven continue to watch. "Yeah!" Cream says, "Chao, chao!" Cheese says, "I'm glad Chris made it back home in time." Amy says, "Uh-huh. It always feels good to get back home." Tails says as he looks up to see Sonic sitting on the roof looking at the sky. "Hmm" Sonic says as he continues looking at the sky. Steven thought this would be the good time to talk to Sonic now. "I'll be back, guys. I'm gonna talk to Sonic" Steven says as he jumps up on the roof and sits next to Sonic. "Hey, Sonic. How are you doing?" Steven asked, "I'm fine, Steven. How about you?" Sonic asked, "Same here" Steven says, "Are you sure?" Sonic asked, "Yeah, I'm sure..." Steven says while Sonic continued to stare at him with a concerned look. Steven saw this and decided to tell Sonic how he really felt. "Okay, I'll admit, I've been feeling under the weather today, but I think I got a reason for that now" Steven says, "I'm listening" Sonic says, "Well it started out this morning when Chuck talked about Chris's parents and how that they rarely have the chance to be around for him even when they work to give him support. I felt a little bad for Chris that he had to go through all that. When I saw how worried his parents were, it made me wonder what does it feel for a parent to wonder where their child is. Because of that, the feeling and concern came together and that's why I decided to join you to save Chris. All of it gave me the courage to take action today" Steven says as he looked at sky. Sonic heard this and started to understand why Steven has been feeling like this all day. "Steven. I think I know why you've been feeling like this" Sonic says, "You do?" Steven asked, "Yes. You're starting to develop mixed feelings ever since we've been staying in this world. Tell me, have you had these mixed feelings back at our home world?" Sonic asked, "Well, no actually" Steven says, "Then they must be developing now because you've been living in normal society like everyone else. Back then it didn't matter to you since you were by yourself, but now that you're learning a lot more, you're starting to get feelings about different emotions that are taking effect on you, Steven" Sonic says, "Hmm. You're right, Sonic. I guess they are" Steven says, "Yep. So in this case, you felt bad for Chris for not seeing his parents a lot. Then you felt bad how worried Chris' parents were when they were getting worried about Chris. Tell me, Steven, are you having these feelings because you wished your parents were with you as you grew up?" Sonic asked. Steven looked a bit surprised before looking at the sky again. "I... I don't know..." Steven says as he didn't know how to answer it. "Steven, I think you are" Sonic says, "Really?" Steven asked, "Yes. You've beenfeeling this way because the care you show is making you realize that you wished your parents were with you when you were growing up" Sonic says, "Yeah... I think I am" Steven says, "Okay, so if you're getting these feelings, then you just miss them even if you haven't seen them. It's like how Chris sometimes wished his parents were around with him" Sonic says, "You're right. I guess my feelings for my unknown parents are really starting to affect me. I never thought I would get these feelings so suddenly" Steven says, "I know Steven, but it's okay. Everyone goes through those mixed feelings like you do. You're not alone in all this. Who knows? Like Chris' parents, if they're worried about their child, then your parents must be worried about you too" Sonic says, "They are?" Steven asked, "You bet. They're probably so worried that they must be looking for you, and. guess what?" Sonic asked, "What is it?" Steven asked, "Because of Chaos Control, they're probably somewhere in this world too. So in time, maybe you'll reunite with your parents someday. They'll be so happy to see how far you've went by one day" Sonic says, Steven then smiles. "You're right, Sonic. Maybe I will see them one day. I just have to stay focus on my tasks for now and get stronger everyday. Thank you, Sonic. You're a really good friend" Steven says, "No problem, Steven" Sonic says, "By the way, Sonic. Do you have parents?" Steven asked. Sonic stayed silent as he didn't know how to answer it. "Oh. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked that" Steven says, "No, it's okay, Steven. I just wasn't expecting someone to ask that... To tell you the truth, I don't know my parents either Sonic says, causing Steven to look shock. "You don't?" Steven asked, "Nope. Like you, I grew up on my own. I grew on an Island called "Christmas Island"." Sonic says, "Christmas Island? I've never heard of an island like that before" Steven says, "Not a lot of people do because South Island was originally called Christmas Island" Sonic says, "Really? So South Island and Christmas Island are the same?" Steven asked, "That's right. Not a lot of people know this except for the ones that have been living there a lot longer. Which I happen to be one of them. I've been living in Green Hills since the very beginning when I first encountered Eggman by saving a bunch of small animals that he kept in capsules" Sonic says, "Is that how your adventuring days first began?" Steven asked, "Pretty much. After a few years after that, I've encountered Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and then Cream and Cheese. We all became friends and worked together to stop Eggman so many times" Sonic says, "Wow. You guys had a long run together then" Steven says, "We sure did, Steven. We sure did" Sonic says, "So if you grew up on your own, and I grew up on my own..." Steven says, "We're not so different from each other" Sonic says, "Yeah and you know, after everything we've just been through, we're really close. Like brothers" Steven says, "Brothers?" Sonic asked, "Yeah. You're to me like a brother is to another. I see you as a big brother, who always wants things to go his way, who doesn't care about the consequences he might face, and who is willing to help those whenever and wherever. That's what I call a big brother" Sonic says. Sonic thinks about it before smiling. "You're right. You know, I starting to see you as a little brother, Steven. Who admires his big brother, who wants to be a dare devil like his big brother, and even learn from his big brother" Sonic says, "Speaking of a devil, when I see you in action, I call you the "Blue Devil"." Steven says, this made Sonic and Steven laugh a bit. After a few seconds, they stop. "But overall, with brothers you always gotta make things work. And I think we should make this work, too" Steven says, "You're right. Although I'll admit, I'm starting to miss our home world a bit" Sonic says, "I know. Me too. But don't worry, we'll all get through this till the very end. We just have to work with it and then we'll get somewhere" Steven says, "Totally" Sonic says as he and Steven continue to look at the sky. As the development for Steven to learn more about caring and concerns, it is up to him to continue getting stronger as his stay on Earth might be a big help for him and everyone else.

Clips were playing from the next Chapter/Episode. "Hey! It's me, Steven the Hedgehog! As I was taking a break from training, Sonic offered me to watch over Cream and Cheese for the day while he and the others stay at the garage and for Chris to be at school. Meanwhile, Chris panicked as his substitute teacher Mr. Stewart was gonna stop by without reasoning. So I watched over Cream and Cheese, we overheard Chris' mother wanting to throw a party today. I have a feeling that this party will cause an uproar to the company. Cream and Cheese insisted that we help set the party, but as I tried to tell them no, they over power me with their faces that define too precious to say no. So as we did our best to stay hidden, we got to the point where we can't leave. If we get spotted, then we might as well bid our goodbyes and leave immediately! Next time on Sonic X: Steven the Hedgehog! "Giant Free-for-All! Chris' House Party" ("Party Hardly"). This should be fun!" Steven says off screen as the current Chapter/Episode ends.
