Steven's life began as a survivor in Sonic's World. Throughout the early years, Steven's heard stories about the adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends, who he wanted to be like despite his own flaws. But one day, Chaos Control happens and this caused Steven to meet Sonic, his friends along with new friends who will guide him to be one of the greatest heroes in the world.

9. Episode 8

Gotta Go Fast (Sonic X Theme) by NateWantsToBattle

Morning time in the garden of the Thorndyke Mansion, Sonic and Steven were in the yard as Steven was about to do something different for his training session. "Okay, Rookie. Today we're make you do something different since we've been working on your legs lately. Now we're gonna focus on how well you do with your arms and hands for Mr. Tanaka" Sonic says as he pints at Mr. Tanaka who was about to mow the lawn. "Oh okay" Steven says, "Hey, Mr. Tanaka!" Sonic says off screen before he runs up to Mr. Tanaka and talks to him. "I wonder what Sonic's gonna have me do for Mr. Tanaka" Steven says to himself, "Of course, Sonic. Yes. That's fine" Mr. Tanaka says, "Thanks, this will help both you and him" Sonic says before he turns his head towards Steven. "Come on, Rookie! Time to cut grass!" Sonic says, "Cut grass?" Steven asked before running up to Sonic. "I think I'll supervise from the sidelines" Mr. Tanaka says before he walks up the stairs towards the backdoor and watches. "Sure. Okay, Rookie. This exercise's for strengthening your hands. So you're gonna cut the grass with your bare hands" Sonic says, "You mean with my fingers?" Steven asked, "You bet. Now start!" Sonic says. Steven takes his gloves off and spits on his hands. Steven rubs his hands and started pulling pieces of grass little by little. Steven grunted as he was doing this for a bit. Sonic and Mr. Tanaka watch Steven from the balcony. "Beautiful day, isn't it?" Sonic asked, "Yes, it is" Mr. Tanaka says, "I think I'll take a quick nap while he continues" Sonic says, "Then I'll keep an eye on him if anything" Mr. Tanaka says, "Thanks" Sonic says before he jumps up. Mr. Tanaka then keeps a close eye on Steven as his glasses shined. Sonic lands on the roof and lays down. He watches Steven for a bit before closing his eyes and taking a nap.

In the main room Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman was putting the cards in a slot and pulls a lever as his computer will decide like it's a slot machine. Dr. Eggman chuckles as the machine stops on all 3 and shows a hawk robot named E-90 Super Sweeper. "Perfect!" Dr. Eggman says off screen and laughs. "Let's go with this one!" Dr. Eggman says and gets up from his chair and raises his fist.

In the hanger, E-90 Super Sweeper had a spotlight on itself as three lights shined on it. E-90 Super Sweeper was being elevated towards the exit door.

Outside of Dr. Eggman's Fortress, a door opened from the trees of the forest part.

Back in the hanger, E-90 Super Sweeper's engine starts up and E-90 Super Sweeper drives towards the exit.

Back outside, E-90 Super Sweeper took off in the sky.

Emergency Launch! X-Tornado (Satellite Swindle)

Back at the yard of the Thorndyke Mansion, Steven just pulled the last piece of grass off. "...There we go..." Steven says before standing up. Steven looked around the yard of everywhere he pulled the grass. "I can't believe I did all that..." Steven says before looking at his hands. Steven's hands were filled with dirt and grass. "Wow... I can barley feel my hands now..." Steven says before going up to Mr. Tanaka. "Mr. Tanaka... I think I finished..." Steven says, "Really?" Mr. Tanaka asked before he scanned his eyes on the lawn. Mr. Tanaka then smiles. "Well I must say I'm very impressed" Mr. Tanaka says, "Really...?" Steven asked, "Yes, but the flaw you have all I can say is the lack of measurements" Mr. Tanaka says, "The lack... Of measurements...?" Steven asked, "Yes, Steven. Keep this note for future preferences, but sometimes in life if you want to get something done perfectly, you have to be very mindful to keep it balanced at all times. You do not want to rush like it is a race because if you do, you'll either mess up or miscalculate" Mr. Tanaka says off screen, "Oh... Like I did with the grass then... I'm sorry, Mr. Tanaka..." Steven says before sitting on the steps. "It is okay, Steven. You didn't know at first, but now that you do, you'll remember how to get it done properly. Everything doesn't have to be done at a fast pace. So for example in your training, instead of running to your goal, you should jog and study your surroundings to learn how to reach your goal in a better way, Steven. Its like trial and error. You study different methods until you find the one that's just about right. I want you to keep that in mind, Steven. Can you do that?" Mr. Tanaka asked, "Sure, Mr. Tanaka. I'll remember next time and I will get something done better" Steven says, "Thank you. Now then, I'll take over for cutting the grass. You deserve your break" Mr. Tanaka says before walking away. "Trial and error..." Steven says before standing up and looking up to the roof. Sonic was still napping on the roof. "Sonic..." Steven says off screen. "Huh?" Sonic asked before jumping off the roof. Sonic lands and looks at Steven. "I finished cutting the grass..." Steven says, "Hmm..." Sonic says as he ran around the whole yard before running back to Steven. Sonic then stops in front of Steven. "That's excellent work, Rookie! But next time you'll have to learn to move faster. The amount of things you do will increase everyday" Sonic says, "Yeah, I'll keep that in mind..." Steven says, "Alright. I think it's time we took a little break" Sonic says, "Alright. I'm gonna go inside and help Ella and Amy with some cooking" Steven says while picking up his gloves. "Alright" Sonic says before Steven walks away. Sonic then goes back on the roof and takes a nap again.

At Area 99, it was quiet outside.

Inside the global military room, the operators spotted something on their map radar. "What was that? Some kind of a rocket maybe?" An Operator asked, "Hey?" Another Operator asked as the Operators continue asking questions. The Commander was also looking at the map "What's the word?" The Commander asked, "An unknown object was spotted about five minutes ago. I'm afraid that's all we know, sir." An Operator says from the radio, "That Dr. Eggman is up to something. I only wished I knew what it was." The Commander says.

In Outer Space above Earth, a satellite was monitoring Earth.

Back in the global military room, the Commander continues. "Has it been identified?" The Commander asked, "I'm afraid not sir." The Operator says from the radio, causing the Commander to grumble.

Back outside Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman speaks. "We should be about ready now" Dr. Eggman says off screen.

Back in the main room of Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman was about to take action. "Well, now, time to have a little fun." Dr. Eggman says and chuckles as he pulls a lever.

Back above Earth, E-90 Super Sweeper's mouth opened and revealed an extended vacuum.

Back in the main room of Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman was about to activate the vacuum. "Super Sweeper!" Dr. Eggman says as he chuckles and presses a button.

Back with E-90 Super Sweeper, lightning shot around the vacuum and it activated the vacuum.

Back in the global military room, an alarm goes off. "System alert!" An Operator says, "What's going on?" The Commander asked, "Communication is cut off. Sir, the satellite, it's-" The Operator says from the radio before he was cut off. "Gone?" The Commander asked as he gets up from his seat. "Yes, sir." The Operator says from the radio, "This can't be happening. It's impossible!" The Commander says.

Back with E-90 Super Sweeper, it was vacuuming a lot of satellites. "Ah, watch them flow in!" Dr. Eggman says off screen from a radio.

Inside E-90 Super Sweeper, the satellites were being thrown in.

Back in the main room of Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman watches E-90 Super Sweeper from his monitor. "Just look at all my shiny new toys. Ah, well, too bad I have to grind them all into robot parts. Who knew recycling could be so much fun!?" Dr. Eggman says and chuckles while Decoe and Bocoe were having tea behind him. "And cost-effective!" Dr. Eggman says.

Back in the global military room, The Commander and the Operators continue to monitor E-90 Super Sweeper. "It's getting closer." The Operator from the radio says, causing the Commander to grumble again. "We've got to alert the President!" The Commander says.

Back at the Thorndyke Mansion, Sonic was still napping on the roof. "You know what I like to do best, boys and girls? I like to dance" a voice says off screen while Mr. Tanaka was mowing the rest of the grass with a lawn mower.

In the living room of the Thorndyke Mansion, the TV was on as a show called Next Show was playing as it showed a purple monster named Next. "Dancing's lots of fun, and it's good exercise, too. Hey, I've got an idea. Why don't you dance with me?" Next asked from the TV as Cream and Cheese were dancing too while Tails and Chris were watching from the couch. "That's it! Looking good!" Next says off screen before Ella walks in with a pie in her hand. "Hi! Snack time, everyone" Ella says before she, Amy and Steven walk in with pies in their hands too. "Ah!" Chris and Tails said at the same time while Ella and Amy go up to the table. "Here we go" Ella says as she and Amy put the pies down the table. "Ella showed us how to make homemade apple pie" Amy says off screen, "Bon Appetite" Steven says as he bows. "I think out little Amy and Steven have quite a knack for baking. I just might be out of a job soon" Ella says, causing Steven to chuckle a bit. "Oh Ella. I just love to help. You don't have to quite your job" Ella says, "I know, Steven, but you never know. One day you could become a baker or a chef if you keep this up" Ella says, "Maybe..." Steven says, "Hey, Ella, maybe Sonic would like some pie!" Amy says while Tails slurps his lips while looking at one of the pies. "He can have the other one" Tails says as he was about to take Amy's pie. "No, you don't! That pie is for Sonic!" Amy says while taking her pie back, this caused Tails to go flying straight. "No, Amy!" Tails says and yells before slamming against the TV, causing it to go static and for Cream and Cheese to yelp. Tails then slides down slowly. Steven then goes up to Tails. "Tails, are you okay?" Steven asked as he sits Tails down on the table below the TV. "I think so" Tails says, "Tails, you broke our TV!" Cream says, "I'm sorry" Tails says while Cheese chirped, "And that was our favorite program" Cream says, "Looks like the TV's gone haywire" Steven says while looking at the TV. "Don't worry, Cream. Maybe this will help" Chris says as he grabs the remote and tried to make the TV go back on. Steven, Tails, Cream and Cheese wait for the TV to come back on, but it was still static. "It's still going static" Steven says, "Okay, guess that didn't work" Chris says off screen. Cream then sniffs with tears in her eyes. "Now, we can't watch our program!" Cream says before she cries.

Back with Sonic, he hears Cream's cries. "Hmm?" Sonic asked as he opened his right eye.

Back in the living room, Cream and Cheese cried while Amy, Ella, Tails and Chris were nervous and Steven was trying to comfort Cream and Cheese. "Hey, what's going on?" Sonic asked as he enters from the window. "Hi, Sonic. Cream and Cheese are upset 'cause the TV is busted" Chris says, "That's what they're crying about?" Sonic asked, "Uh-huh..." Chris says, "I can't watch "Next Show"!" Cream says as she and Cheese continue to cry. "Don't worry, guys. It's okay. We'll figure this out. I promise" Steven says, "What do we do? Now I can't watch my cooking show" Amy says, "Or Mrs. Thorndyke in the movie of the week" Ella says, "Or the martial arts matinee" Mr. Tanaka says from the door, causing Chris to sweat drop. "Sorry, Mr. Tanaka..." Chris says, "We just have to find the source to this problem" Steven says until laughter was heard and Bokkun flies in. Amy and Ella grabs their pies while Amy also grabs Steven's pie. Bokkun then lands on the table, causing Sonic and Chris to freak out and go behind the couch. Steven looks at Sonic and Chris in confusion. "What's wrong, guys?" Steven asked, "Steven, whatever happens, take cover!" Sonic says from behind the couch. "Steven, hurry!" Tails says off screen, "Huh? Hurry for what?" Steven asked, "That was a disappointing welcome, if you don't mind me saying so" Bokkun says, "Sorry about that, but who are you?" Steven asked, "My name's Bokkun, and I'm Doctor Eggman's messenger robot" Bokkun says, before grunting and pulling a TV out of his bag. "Got a brand-new message for Sonic from Dr. Eggman. So listen up good" Bokkun says as the TV turns on to reveal Dr. Eggman. "Greetings, my little warthog. Sorry it's been so long since my last message, but I've been such a busy little bee. Take a look" Dr. Eggman says from the TV before the TV switches to E-90 Super Sweeper still vacuuming satellites. "That thing is swallowing up satellites" Chris says, "And it's ruined our television reception" Mr. Tanaka says as his glasses glowed. "That's probably why the TV's messing up then" Steven says, "Don't get any ideas, Sonic. After all, I'm only having a little fun. So stay out of it, if you know what's good for you" Dr. Eggman says from the TV off screen as Amy and Ella were hiding by the fire place while holding pieces of brick wood. "As we speak, my E-90 is floating above the stratosphere" Dr. Eggman says from the TV off screen as Cream, Cheese and Tails were hiding behind the couch while Tails was holding a pillow to shield himself. "Collecting all manner of space junk so that I can make more and more of my ever-so-helpful mechanical friends" Dr. Eggman says from the TV off screen as Sonic and Chris were still hiding behind the couch while Steven was still out in the open. "Well, what do you say to that?" Dr. Eggman asked as he went up close to the screen before laughing. "Pretty soon, you might be obsolete, Bokkun" Dr. Eggman says, causing Bokkun to cry. Steven sweat drops a bit. "Hey, it's okay. I'm sure your usefulness was good while it lasted" Steven says and chuckles nervously. "What's E-90?" Chris asked as Bokkun continues to cry off screen. "I don't know, Chris, but I'll bet it's one of Dr. Eggman's robots. I wonder what a stratosphere is..." Tails says before Chuck suddenly enters the living room. "A layer of air miles above us... It's as high as the sky!" Chuck says while pointing upwards. "Almost to Outer Space then..." Steven says, "Hmm" Tails says while Bokkun continues to cry. "We can do without you, crybaby!" Chuck says before grabbing Bokkun by the head and taking him to the window. "No! Put me down!" Bokkun says off screen while Sonic gives an annoyed look. Then suddenly, a bright light appeared and an explosion happens. This caused everyone to shield their eyes. "Gotcha!" Bokkun says and laughs off screen while Chuck walked back to the living room looking crispt. Sonic, Chris and Steven smiled nervously. "I can see why you guys told me to take cover. Good thing I dodged that one" Steven says and chuckles nervously as he looks at Chuck. "Looks like that robot is da bomb" Chris says.

In the skies, a Plane was flying and above that was the stratosphere. "Very funny. But this is serious, Chris. Eggman's causing havoc miles above anyone's reach" Chuck says off screen.

Back at the Thorndyke Mansion, Chris has an idea. "I bet the "Tornado" could get up there" Chris says, "Hmm" Tails says as he wasn't sure. "Come on, Tails" Sonic says off screen. "Huh?" Tails asked as he looked at Sonic. Sonic comes out from behind the couch. "Why not? I'm game. Let's go!" Sonic says as he runs out the room. "Okay, I'm coming" Tails says as he runs after Sonic.

In the garage, Sonic jumps in the back seat of the Tornado while Tails goes to the pilot seat. Tails then starts up the Tornado.

Back outside, the Tornado drives outside. "We can do it!" Tails says, "You bet!" Sonic says before the Tornado takes off in the skies.

Back at the garage, Amy, Steven, Chuck and Chris watch them leave. "Good luck, you guys. we'll be waiting" Amy says as she waves, "Stay safe, Sonic and Tails!" Steven says.

Back with E-90 Super Sweeper, it descended lower to Earth.

With Sonic and Tails, they go further in the sky.

Back in the main room of Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman spotted the Tornado on the radar of his computer. "Huh? E-90, zap those meddlers!" Dr. Eggman says.

Back with E-90 Super Sweeper, E-90 Super Sweeper fired it's lasers at the Tornado while the Tornado simply did maneuvers to dodge them. "As if you could hit me" Tails says. The Tornado heads straight to E-90 Super Sweeper's mouth. "Move in close!" Sonic says as the Tornado moves over while E-90 Super Sweeper closes its mouth. "We move too fast for it" Tails says as the Tornado makes a turn back to E-90 Super Sweeper. E-90 Super Sweeper aimed it's turret at the Tornado from behind and fired it's laser and the Tornado did it's best to dodge them. "I think that was too close" Sonic says, "Don't worry. I think I've got an idea" Tails says. E-90 Super Sweeper opens a hatchet and small explosives fly around the Tornado. As the small explosives blew up, the Tornado came out of the smoke. The Tornado went in circles around E-90 Super Sweeper. Causing E-90 Super Sweeper to turn it's whole body around 360.

Back in the main room, Dr. Eggman groans as he was dizzy from the turn. "Where are they?" Dr. Eggman asked while dizzy.

Back at the battle, E-90 Super Sweeper continued to turn 360 while the Tornado stops. "Here goes!" Tails says as he fired his bullets from the Tornado and aimed it on E-90 Super Sweeper's head. E-90 Super Sweeper's top exploded while the Tornado goes around and fired more lasers at E-90 Super Sweeper. E-90 Super Sweeper then started to descend down again with the Tornado following it. "Stay with it!" Sonic says, "Just hold on tight" Tails says as the Tornado continues to follow E-90 Super Sweeper. Then suddenly, a piece of E-90 Super Sweeper comes apart and was about to hit the Tornado. Sonic and Tails scream before Tails did his best to turn the Tornado before the piece hit them. The piece had an engine and went further ahead before exploding. The Tornado continues to follow E-90 Super Sweeper.

Back in the main room of Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman smiles. "Time for some fireworks" Dr. Eggman says before pushing a lever.

Back at the battle, E-90 Super Sweeper's missiles shoot out and aimed at the Tornado. The Tornado dodged the explosion from the missles. "Nya, nya!" Tails says before Sonic jumps out and hops on two missiles, causing them to explode in the process. Sonic kicks the third one and it hits E-90 Super Sweeper. Sonic lands back in the Tornado's passenger seat.

Back in the main room of Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman gets annoyed. "You think you're so smart, don't you!?" Dr. Eggman asked.

Back at the battle, Dr. Eggman was about to activate something. "Super Sweeper!" Dr. Eggman says off screen before E-90 Super Sweeper opens it's mouth and activated it's vacuum. This caused the Tornado to get pulled. "It's sucking us in!" Sonic says while Tails used all his might to pull the lever. They were about to get sucked in until the Tornado got out just in time with Tails yelling. E-90 Super Sweeper then follows the Tornado. "It's coming up behind us!" Sonic says as he looks behind. "I know a way to shake it" Tails says as the Tornado went back and tried to trick E-90 Super Sweeper before going back in the air. E-90 Super Sweeper then vacuums the clouds. "I can't believe it. It's swallowing up all the clouds!" Tails says. Then suddenly, due to the pressure in the sky, the Tornado's propeller started to spit out smoke. "Oh, no!" Tails says before he and Sonic scream and the Tornado started to dive down into the ocean.

Back with Sonic and Tails, they continue to screamas the Tornado 2 was almost about to hit the ocean. Tails did his best to try and bring the Tornado up in the air. After the last second, the Tornado was stable again and flew away.

Later that night back at the garage, Sonic was on the roof remembering what happened earlier today.

A flashback shows the Tornado 2 moving away from E-90 Super Sweeper's vacuum.

Back to reality, Sonic continues to think. "Hmm" Sonic says.

Back inside the garage, Tails told Chuck, Chris and Steven what happened while the Tornado 2 was parked. "I'm sorry for what happened there, Tails" Steven says, "It's okay, Steven" Tails says, "It appears our foe is more powerful than we thought" Chuck says while Tails grumbles. "Hey, Tails" Sonic says off screen, "Huh?" Tails asked while Sonic jumps down from the roof and enters the garage. "Problem is the "Tornado" is too slow. So, what you ought to do is soup this birdy up a little bit" Sonic says, "Ah!" Chris, Chuck and Steven said in shock. "I could try" Tails says, "Really, Tails?" Chris asked, "Maybe I could use the Chaos Emerald. But there could be a problem" Tails says, "Huh?" Chris and Chuck asked, "What is it?" Steven asked, "It's all that energy" Tails says, "What do you mean?" Chris asked off screen

A image plays and shows the Tornado 2's engine. "The Chaos Emerald has got huge amounts of energy. It would only take a tiny bit to run the "Tornado," so all that extra energy wouldn't have anywhere to go, and that could be a real big problem" Tails says off screen as the image shows the Tornado 2 exploding in the sky.

Back to reality, Steven imagined what would happen and shuddered when he thought the Tornado 2 could blow up in the sky. "That sounds too risky then" Steven says, "What do you think, Grandpa?" Chris asked, "We need to find a way to burn off the Emerald's excess energy" Chuck says, "I wouldn't want to just waste it" Tails says, "Do you have any better ideas?" Chuck asked, "Well, we could install a backup engine. That way, with two engines instead of one, the energy would have another outlet" Tails says, "Do you really think two engines could contain all that power?" Chuck asked, "If we wanna beat Dr. Eggman, it's sure worth giving it a try" Tails says, "In order to install that backup, we'd have to rebuild the plane. Are you sure you have the know-how to do that, Tails?" Chuck asked, "Well, I've never done anything like this before, but I'll give it a shot" Tails says, "You can do it, Tails. I know it" Sonic says, "Yeah, Tails, and if you want, I'd be glad to help out if that's okay with you" Steven says, "Really, Steven?" Tails asked, "Come with me, Tails. I've got something that might interest you" Chuck says as he winks while Tails blinked his eyes in confusion. "In fact, I'm certain it will. You can come too if you want, Steven" Chuck says and chuckles, "Sure. Lead the way" Steven says as Chuck leads Tails and Steven somewhere.

An elevator descends down to the down floor. After it reaches the down, the elevator doors open to reveal Tails, Chuck and Steven looking at a dark room. "What's this?" Tails asked, "It's my secret laboratory" Chuck says before the lights go on, causing Tails and Steven to look surprised. "WOW!" Tails says, "Whoahoho!" Steven says as they saw that it was a secret laboratory. "It's amazing" Tails says, "I'm interested already" Steven says, "I think you'll find everything we need" Chuck says, "Sure!" Tails says, "Now, let's rebuild the "Tornado 2"!" Chuck says as he raises his fist. "Yeah!" Tails says as he raised his fist. "Let's do it!" Steven says as he raised his fist.

Later that night with a full moon out in the sky.

Back in the secret laboratory, Chuck and Tails were checking the blueprints while Steven was observing everything in his surroundings. "We'll connect it here" Tails says, "You mean like this...?" Chuck asked as he pointed at a part of the blueprints. Tails opened a hatchet from underneath the second engine. "Steven, pass me the wrench" Tails says as he lets his hand out. Steven goes in the tool box and picks up the wrench. "Here you go" Steven says as he passed Tails the wrench. "Thanks" Tails says as he got to tighten the bolts. "Steven, can you help me for one second?" Chuck asked off screen. "Oh. Sure, Chuck" Steven says as he went up to Chuck. "Hold these wires for me" Chuck says, "Sure" Steven says as he held on to the wires and Chuck started connecting them one by one to the second engine. Later on, Chuck wanted to see if Tails wanted to take a break while Tails was fixing up some more wires. "You've been working all day long, Tails. Why don't you take a break?" Chuck asked, "It's okay. I'm almost done" Tails says, "Hmm. All right" Chuck says before walking away. Chris then taps Tails' shoulder. "Want some help?" Chris asked off screen. "Huh?" Tails asked as he turns around to see Chris and Steven. "Chris wanted to share something with you so I want to see if I can help you with it" Steven says, "Thanks, guys, but I'm almost done anyway" Tails says, "We know, but I think it would help all of us if you're interested to know what it is" Chris says. Tails thinks about it before making his decision. "Okay, sure. A little something extra won't hurt a bit" Tails says, "Great. So this is what I want you to do..." Chris says as he whispers the plan to Tails. "Hmm. I think that's a great idea, Chris" Tails says, "Thanks, Tails. I'll see you guys later" Chris says before he leaves. "Tails, since you're almost done. Can I ask you something" Steven says, "Sure. What is it, Steven?" Tails asked, "Can you teach me how to be an inventor like you? Because If I ever want to invent something that involves technology, I would like to learn from the best" Steven says, "Really? You want to be an inventor one day, Steven?" Tails asked, "I'd like to as another hobby for me. Since I'm learning how to cook from Ella and Amy, learn guidance from Mr. Tanaka and Sonic, and learn about friendships from Cream and Cheese, I'd like to learn inventing from you and Chuck too" Steven says, "Sure! I'll teach you how to be an inventor. We can start right now" Tails says, "Really?" Steven asked, "Yeah! We'll start off with Chris's idea. Are you ready?" Tails asked, "Yeah!" Steven says, "Okay, then let's get to work" Tails says. Tails has been showing and telling Steven the tools he's used for his inventions. Steven was a little not used to it, but after a few minutes, he managed to get the hang of using the tools. As Steven and Tails continued putting the add on, Steven slowly yawned. "You okay, Steven?" Tails asked, "Yeah. Just a little tired..." Steven says, "You can go to sleep then, Steven because this is all almost done. It'll be complete by tomorrow morning" Tails says, "Are you sure, Tails?" Steven says, "Yes, Steven. Thanks so much for the help" Tails says, "No problem, Tails. Thank you for teaching me about inventing too. Good night" Steven says before he leaves.

The next morning, the sun was rising and Sonic was watching it from the roof of the garage.

Back inside the living room, Chris, Amy, Steven, Cream and Cheese were sleeping on the couch. Cream woke up and smiled as she saw the TV was back on. "Yeah! Mr. Television came back to life!" Cream says, causing Chris, Amy and Steven to wake up. "Huh?" Steven asked as he woke up. The TV revealed a title called EggTv before revealing Dr. Eggman's face. "Good morning!" Dr. Eggman says from the TV, causing Cream to yell in fright. "It's time for the one and only "Dr. Eggman Show." This program is coming to you live via satellite from a beautiful island in the Southern Sea." Dr. Eggman says from the TV off screen as Chris, Amy and Steven to look concerned. Cream then gasped in fright. "He's scary!" Cream says. Steven then went up to Cream and rubbed her shoulders. "Don't worry, Sonic and Tails will put an end to this. I hope..." Steven says as he watches the TV.

Back in Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman was doing all this live. "Today's show is brought to you by the amazing Super Sweeper, for a cleaner, safer stratosphere." Dr. Eggman says off screen.

Inside Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Decoe points the camera at Dr. Eggman while Bocoe gives him the signal. "Cue!" Bocoe says and a spotlight shines on Dr. Eggman. Music starts playing and Dr. Eggman sings and dances. "Who's the most brilliant scientist in all the universe?" Dr. Eggman asked before spinning and chuckling and going up to the camera. "Why, it's Dr. Eggman, BABY!" Dr. Eggman says.

Back in the skies, E-90 Super Sweeper blasted off in the skies again.

Back in the global military room of Area 99, the Operators monitor E-90 Super Sweeper again. "Sir, the object appears to have been launched." the operators says, "Then I'm afraid we have no choice but to launch a counter-attack." The Commander says, "Yes, sir" the operator says.

Back at the Garage, Sonic continued looking at the sun. "Hey, Sonic!" Tails says off screen, causing Sonic to jump and land on the ground. "Did you finish?" Sonic asked as he ran up to Tails. "Yep, we sure did. Come on. I'll show you" Tails says before running back inside. A few minutes later, Sonic, Tails, Amy, Cream, Cheese, Steven, Chris and Chuck stand in front of the closed garage door. Tails and Steven nod at Chuck before Chuck presses a button on a remote. The whole garage elevated slowly upwards. "Whoa!" Amy and Cream said.

Inside, the new plane was parked underneath the elevated garage.

Back outside, the garage continued elevating and the sunlight shines down on the new plane a bit. After it was fully up, the new plane was shown as it was now known as the X-Tornado. "Presenting "Tornado X."!" Tails says off screen and Sonic smiles.

Back with E-90 Super Sweeper, it was getting ready to vacuum as it had it's mouth open.

Back in space, the satellite from before activates a laser cannon.

Back in the global military room, the Operators got a clear sight to lock on E-90 Super Sweeper from the other satelites. "Target lock armed, sir!" the Operator says.

Back with E-90 Super Sweeper, it's vacuum extended. "Super Sweeper!" Dr. Eggman says off screen.

Back in the global military room, they were gonna fire. "Fire laser!" The Commander says.

Back in space, the satellites shot they're lasers and aimed at E-90 Super Sweeper, but an invisible shield was seen when the laser's hit it.

Back in the global military room, the Commander was shocked. "What is happening?" the Commander asked.

Back in space, E-90 Super Sweeper's shield became invisible. "A feeble attempt at best, my friends. Come on, Super Sweeper. Do your stuff!" Dr. Eggman says off screen as E-90 Super Sweeper sucks in the satellites.

Back at the garage, Sonic and Tails are ready to leave."Let's shove off, Tails" Sonic says before Chris steps up to Sonic. "Hey, Sonic, I was hoping I could go too." Chris says, "Chris, you can't come with us. You know the plane is only a two-seater" Sonic says, "I thought…" Chris says nervously before looking at Tails and Steven. "Guess I forgot to tell you" Tails says, causing Sonic to turn to him. "I made a couple of more changes with the help from Steven" Tails says before he presses a button on the remote as it reveals the X-Tornado has 2 extra seats in the back. "I asked Tails if he could put in an extra seat" Chris says, "I volunteered to help so I can learn how mechanics work" Steven says, "I hope you don't mind, Sonic" Chris says, "Hmm" Sonic says as he thinks. "Well, Sonic?" Tails asked before Sonic made his decision. "Just so long as you don't get in the way, okay?" Sonic asked, "You got a deal" Chris says as he gives Sonic a thumbs up. "Since you also helped, you're coming too, Steven" Sonic says, making Steven look surprised. "Me? You want me to go with you, guys?" Steven asked, "That's right. I want you to experience aerial combat with me and the others" Sonic says, "Are you sure?" Steven asked, "You bet" Sonic says and Steven thinks about it. "It'll be good for you, Steven. That way if you ever come close to a battle that involves flying, this could be your chance to experience how it feels like" Chris says, "Yeah. And since you've helped a lot on the X-Tornado, I can also teach you how to fly it one day. If you're interested" Tails says. After a few seconds, Steven makes his decision. "Alright, I'll join in" Steven says, "Then let's go" Sonic says. Tails and Chris were in the front seats while Sonic and Steven were in the back seats. The X-Tornado engines started and started to drive slowly on the runway. ""Tornado X" ready for takeoff. First and second wings are set" Tails says as the wings on the X-Tornado got in position. "Wow..." Steven says as he saw the wings. "Pretty neat, huh?" Sonic asked, "Yeah..." Steven says.

Back at the garage, Chuck and Amy were watching them leave. "Let's clear the runaway!" Chuck says before he presses a button on a remote.

This caused the Palm Trees on the runway to spread out.

Back at the garage, Chuck was excited. "I can't wait! I'm so excited, I could fly!" Chuck says while Amy looks at him nervously.

Back outside, the X-Tornado was about to take off. ""Tornado X," blast off!" Tails says as he pulls the levers. The X-Tornado's engine increased and drove fast on the runway. "Whoa!" Steven says as he felt the speed while he was pushed back against his seat. "Here we go" Tails says before the X Tornado lifts off the ground and takes off in the sky. "Retract landing gear. Setting up third and fourth wings. Okay, get ready. We're about to enter X-Hyperspeed Mode" Tails says and another pair of wings were in position.

In the skies, the X-Tornado flew in the sky fast with Tails straining a bit. Steven felt like he was gonna be sick. "Oh... I think I'm going to be sick..." Steven says before he places his hands over his mouth.

Back at the main room of Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Decoe and Bocoe see a signal heading towards E-90 Super Sweeper on the radar. "Sorry to disturb you, Dr. Eggman, but something is headed straight for E-90, and it sure is fast." Decoe says, "Really fast" Bocoe says, "But not fast enough. I'll teach them to sneak up on me." Dr. Eggman says.

Back in the skies, E-90 Super Sweeper descended down a bit. E-90 Super Sweeper started to shoot the X Tornado with missiles. "Here they come..." Steven says as the X-Tornado simply dodges them. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!" Steven says as he felt the maneuvers. "Let's do it!" Sonic says as his and Steven's hatchet window opens and Sonic jumps out the of the X-Tornado. "Be careful" Steven says as he watches Sonic go.

Sonic hops on the missiles, making them turn the other way around. Sonic hopped his way to E-90 Super Sweeper before landing on it. "Oh!" Sonic says as the lasers charge up. Sonic jumps and dodges them, causing him to skid to the side. Sonic ran and jumped as the laser shoots forward. Sonic then saw the laser's position upwards before dodging them.

The X-Tornado then fires it's fire power. "Don't worry, Sonic, I got your back" Tails says off screen as he fires the X Tornado's fire power at the laser turrets. This caused the laser turrets and missiles to be destroyed. "Thanks, Tails" Sonic says while giving the X-Tornado a thumbs up.

Back in the main room of Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman starts getting mad. "Sonic! I'll put an end to that hyperactive hedgehog!" Dr. Eggman says as he pushes a few buttons and lever.

Back in the sky, E-90 Super Sweeper activates a laser turret and it fires to the X tornado while the X Tornado maneuvers. "I can't get any closer!" Tails says as he continues to dodge the lasers. Sonic saw this and kicked the turret from the inside. Causing it to shoot out flames and smoke. Sonic jumps out before it explodes, causing Sonic to scream and get sent flying. Steven saw this and gasped. Steven then pressed a button for the radio. "Tails, open the window!" Steven says, "Okay!" Tails says off screen from the radio before opening the back window hatchet. Steven raises his out and caught Sonic's hand. "Thanks, buddy!" Sonic says, "You're welcome!" Steven says before he pulls Sonic back to his seat and the window hatchet closes.

Back in the living room of the Thorndyke Mansion, Amy, Cream, Cheese, Chuck, Ella and Mr. Tanaka were watching the action on TV. "Isn't Sonic the bravest!?" Amy asked happily.

Back in the skies, E-90 Super Sweeper and the X Tornado were about to leave Earth's atmosphere. Steven gasped as he saw how high they were. "We're really high up..." Steven says as he looked down at Earth. "We sure are" Sonic says. The back window hatch opens again and Sonic jumps out and lands back on E-90 Super Sweeper. But due to the wind, Sonic was being pushed back. "Whoa" Sonic says and then held onto a ledge.

Back in the X-Tornado, Steven looked behind and saw the Sonic hanging on. "Sonic's hanging on the edge" Steven says to himself.

Back with E-90 Super Sweeper, it fires more missiles.

Back in the X-Tornado, Steven gasped as he saw the incoming missiles. "Tails, more missiles are coming!" Steven says. The X Tornado dodges them and continues flying.

Back in the main room of Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman watches the action going on. "Now try and top that..." Dr. Eggman says before he pushes a lever.

Back with Sonic, he sees the vacuum coming his way as he continues to hold on.

Back in the X-Tornado, Tails saw this. "Here we go! Booster switch on!" Tails says as he pulls a lever and caused the X-Tornado to change shape. "Whoa!" Steven says as he felt the change. The X-Tornado then rocketed away. Steven grunted a bit as he felt how fast the X Tornado went. The X-Tornado came back and was heading straight to E-90 Super Sweeper. E-90 Super Sweeper activated the vacuum and it was trying to vacuum Sonic in. Sonic strained as he held on until he saw the X-Tornado coming. "Sonic, watch out!" Tails says off screen the X-Tornado fires at the vacuum and destroys it.

Back at in the main room of Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Dr. Eggman gets very angry. "All right! You wanna fight dirty!?" Dr. Eggman asked as he pushes a couple of buttons and a lever.

Back in skies, E-90 Super Sweeper releases another tank, making E-90 Super Sweeper lighter as it goes further in the sky. "Just try and get away" Tails says as he charges towards E-90 Super Sweeper. Sonic saw the X-Tornado up close before letting go. Sonic tumbled a bit before landing on the X-Tornado. the X-Tornado went pass E-90 Super Sweeper. Sonic then started to shudder. "Sonic's cold. It must be cold up here then" Steven says. Chris looked behind and saw Sonic's current state too. "Sonic looks like he's shivering" Chris says, "That's 'cause we're close to the stratosphere. The temperature drops down to -50-degrees up here, but Sonic can take it." Tails says as stars were sparkling around. Sonic smiled nervously before noticing something. "Huh?" Sonic asked as he looks down to see his feet and legs started to freeze in ice. "Sonic's about to freeze!" Steven says before he notices the X-Tornado does too. Steven presses the button again. "Chris, Tails, we got a problem!" Steven says from the radio. "What's going on, Steven?" Chris asked, "The whole plane is turning into ice!" Steven says, "Everything's A-OK" Tails says as Sonic was about to be fully frozen in ice before smiling. "A-OK" Sonic says as he was completely frozen. "Oh no, Sonic!" Steven says. Chris turns around and sees Sonic frozen too. "What? Tails, Sonic is frozen solid!" Chris says, "Huh?" Tails asked, "Tails, look out!" Steven says.

Back with E-90 Super Sweeper, it launched more missiles at the X-Tornado, but the X-Tornado dodged them. Chris then realized something. "Uh, hey, the ring" Chris says, "No good. I can't open the cockpit" Tails says off screen as the cockpit was also frozen. "But we've got to think of something" Chris says off screen as missiles come their way. "More missiles guys!" Steven says and Tails starts remembering what Chuck said. "We need to find a way to burn off the Emerald's excess energy" Chuck says in Tails's head. "That's it. I've got an idea" Tails says as he pressed a few buttons. This caused a power ring to pop out in front of Chris. "Listen carefully, Chris. Take the ring and connect it to the yellow cable underneath the seat." Tails says off screen as Chris takes the power ring and looks at it. "What's that gonna do?" Chris asks, "There's no time for questions!" Tails says, "Oh, okay" Chris says, "W-What should I do?" Steven asked, "Keep an eye on those missiles, Steven!" Tails says, "Got it!" Steven says. Chris saw where the green, blue, yellow and red wires are before unscrewing the yellow wire. Steven looks behind to see the missiles were about to hit the X-Tornado. "Tails, the missiles are coming close!" Steven says, "Okay!" Tails says before the X-Tornado moved out of the way on time. "Ah!" Chris says as drops the yellow wire. More missiles were then coming. "We've got more coming!" Steven says and Chris strains a bit before he picks up the yellow wire. Chris connects the power ring to it and the power ring glows, causing the X Tornado to show sparkles. "Whoa..." Steven says before Sonic smiled as he warms up. Sonic breaks his hand out along with his entire body. "Alright!" Steven says as he saw Sonic break free. "Watch out, Eggman, I'm all warmed up! Let's go get 'em, guys!" Sonic says off screen, "Yeah!" Tails says off screen as the X Tornado speeds in a direction. The X-Tornado turns back around and Sonic spin dashes the missiles, causing them to explode. Sonic spin dashes again and heads inside E-90 Super Sweeper's mouth. E-90 Super Sweeper's mouth closed and Sonic destroys it from the inside before jumping up. "Yeah!" Chris, Tails and Steven said and cheer before E-90 Super Sweeper shoots out sparks and explodes.

Back in the living room of the Thorndyke Mansion, everyone sees the TV go static again. "Guess I need to call the cable guy" Mr. Tanaka says.

Back in the skies, Sonic was skydiving before the X-Tornado comes to him. The back window hatch opens and Steven catches Sonic's hand again. "Are you okay?" Steven asked, "Yeah, thanks to you, guys!" Sonic says. Sonic looks to see Tails and Chris give him a thumbs up while Sonic does the same for them. Sonic and Steven did a fist bump before heading back to the Thorndyke Mansion.

Back at the Thorndyke Mansion, everyone was laughing in the living room as they won.

Back in the living room, Sonic was warming his feet in a bowl of warm water. Sonic sighs as he continues to warm up with his eyes closed. "Sonic, I made my caliente chili for you. This will make your tummy nice and warm" Ella says as she brings a tray of soup to Sonic before setting it down on the table. Sonic then smiles. "You sure taught Eggman a lesson, Sonic" Chuck says, "It wasn't me, Chuck. I just helped out this time. Chris, Tails and Steven are the ones that did it. They're the real heroes" Sonic says as Tails and Chris high fived each other, "Yeah!" Tails and Chris said while Steven smiled a bit. "Thanks, but Tails and Chris are the real heroes. I was only watching out for the fire power" Steven says, making everyone look at him. "What do you mean, Steven?" Chris asked, "I was just sitting back and experiencing aerial combat. But I didn't really do much except look out for missiles that were coming" Steven says, "But Steven, you're still a hero anyway" Sonic says, "Oh. Really?" Steven asked, "Yup" Sonic says and gives a thumbs up. "Sonic's right. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have built two extra seats for the X-Tornado without your help" Tails says, "You kept look out of the missiles that were coming at us and we made out just fine" Chris says, "Steven. Even though you think you didn't do much, you were there for assistance for Sonic and the others. Assistance is also a key to becoming a hero" Chuck says, "You're still useful no matter what, Steven" Cream says and Cheese chirps. Steven then smiles. "You're right. Sorry that I sounded useless there then" Steven says as he chuckles nervously. "It's okay, Steven. You're not useless. You're still learning and you'll get to that point where you can take care of anything" Ella says, "Yeah... I hope so..." Steven says, "Let's celebrate" Amy says off screen. Sonic, Steven, Tails, Cream, Cheese, Chuck and Ella turnt their heads to see Amy holding a tray with lots of ice cream. "I made this ice cream myself... for the coolest guy around" Amy says as the ice cream's sparkle. This made Sonic sweat drop a bit. "Uh... Wow, cool... Uh Steven, wanna join in for ice cream because I don't want to be too cool right now" Sonic asked as he shrugs his shoulders. Steven chuckled a bit. "Sure" Steven says as the rest of the day will be a "chilled" day.

Fu-tu-re (ミ・ラ・イ, Mi-ra-i)

Clips were playing from the next Chapter/Episode. "Hey! It's me, Steven the Hedgehog! Chris was going to attend an opening ceremony of a resort establishment, so everyone else decided to spend the day at the Emerald Coast Beach to get out the house for a bit. I've never been to the beach before, but I've heard that it's hot out with the warmness of the sand and the coolness of the ocean. I could possibly use the space there to train a bit. Meanwhile, Amy thinks about Sonic as she wished he was with her. But as we enjoyed the day, it was suddenly ruined by Dr. Eggman and his robots once again. Sonic tried to stop Dr. Eggman, but due to him not not knowing how to swim, he's washed out! Me and Amy volunteered to help Sonic but Amy ended up falling into the ocean with Sonic going after her! I've gotta hurry and save them! Next time on Sonic X: Steven the Hedgehog! "Amy on the Beach" ("The Last Resort"). Here come the big waves!" Steven says off screen as the current Chapter/Episode ends.
