Sonic X: Steven the Hedgehog

Steven's life began as a survivor in Sonic's World. Throughout the early years, Steven's heard stories about the adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends, who he wanted to be like despite his own flaws. But one day, Chaos Control happens and this caused Steven to meet Sonic, his friends along with new friends who will guide him to be one of the greatest heroes in the world.

11. Episode 10

Gotta Go Fast (Sonic X Theme) by NateWantsToBattle

Above forest at night time with a full moon out, the X-Tornado was flying in the sky.

At the X-Tornado, Tails and Steven were inside as Tails was giving Steven flying lessons. Earlier Tails gave Steven flying lessons in regular mode and now Steven's flying the X-Tornado with the Green Chaos Emerald inside. "Good job, Steven. The X-Tornado seems to be running really great since we installed the Chaos Emerald. This has to be just about the smoothest flight I've ever been on. I'm really glad that you're learning how to fly an aircraft, Steven" Tails says, "Thanks, Tails. I really appreciate you giving me piloting lessons today. It feels like I'm flying along with the breeze" Steven says, "I guess you can say that's the wonders of flying and so far you're doing great. Huh?" Tails asked as he and Steven see the green Chaos Emerald blink as it was detecting something. "Why's the Chaos Emerald glowing?" Steven asked, "I think it's picking up something. Ah!" Tails says as the X-Tornado started tilting a bit, causing him and Steven yell. "What's going on!? The X-Tornado's shaking!" Steven says.

Above another part of a forest, the X-Tornado was seen flying fast from above.

Back inside the X-Tornado, Steven tried to gain control of it, but the X-Tornado continues to fly off course as well as the Chaos Emerald blinks. "Something's pulling us off course!" Tails says.

In a bird's eye view, the X-Tornado was flying towards a stadium that's called Diamond Stadium.

Back in the X-Tornado, Steven and Tails see Diamond Stadium. "Why is the X-Tornado flying towards that stadium!?" Steven asked, "Maybe it's another Chaos Emerald!" Tails says.

The X-Tornado was lowering down towards Diamond Stadium.

Back inside the X-Tornado, Steven was nervous as he felt the joy sticks shaking. "Keep it together, Steven. Remember, you're in control so fight back on what's pulling us!" Tails says, "I'll try..." Steven says while straining as he tried to control the X-Tornado normally. "Huh?" Tails asked, "What is it?" Steven asked as he looked forward

At Diamond Stadium, a small figure was on the field waving at the X-Tornado. The man was known as Albert Butler. "Stop! Stop!" Albert says.

Back in the X-Tornado, Tails gasped. "Oh no! Quick, Steven, lift the X Tornado!" Tails says, "Okay!" Steven says as he tried to gain control of the X-Tornado. "Come on..." Steven says. After a few seconds, Steven used all his strength to pull the joysticks.

Back at Diamond Stadium, Albert continues waving. "You can't land here!" Albert says before the X Tornado lifts up. Albert shields himself from the wind and wind.

Back in the X-Tornado, Steven and Tails sigh in relief. "Phew. That was close..." Steven says, "Yeah. You've managed to gain control at the last second. Great save, Steven" Tails says, "Thanks, Tails" Steven says, "Let's land the X-Tornado. We better go down there" Tails says, "Okay" Steven says.

Back at Diamond Stadium, Albert watches the X-Tornado fly in shock.

Outside of Diamond, Stadium, the X-Tornado was parked at the front.

Inside the hallways of Diamond Stadium, Tails and Steven were walking in a dark hallway as they was walking cautiously. "Huh?" Tails and Steven asked as as they saw stairs with light at the end of the tunnel. A sound of a crowd was heard before Steven and Tails shield their eyes from the brightness.

Outside of Diamond Stadium, one of the stadium lights was really bright that it caused Steven and Tails shield their eyes a bit. Steven and Tails regain eyesight and gasped. They saw how huge Diamond Stadium looked. "Wow!" Tails says before flying up with his tails to check out the ballpark. "Whoa! So cool..." Steven says before he jumps down next to Tails and they walk around. Steven and Tails stopped when they heard an engine start. Tails and Steven see Albert trying to start up a motorized mower. "Excuse us, sir. Hello!" Tails says off screen, "Hey mister! HEY, mister!" Steven says off screen, "Yo!" Tails says off screen, getting Albert's attention. "Huh?" Albert asked as he sees Steven and Tails looking at him while smiling. "What are you doing?" Tails asked before Albert gasp and shields himself with the motorized mower. "Keep away!" Albert says, "Huh?" Tails asked as he backed away a bit. "We're sorry. It's just, we were in my plane and the Chaos Emerald started glowing and… Don't worry, mister, we won't hurt you" Tails says, "Huh?" Albert asked as he peaks his head a bit "Please hear us out, sir" Steven says. A few minutes later, Steven and Tails explain the story to Albert while sitting on the bleachers above the score board. "Sure is some story, little fellas! Never would've guessed that was you two flying that plane up there" Albert says, "Well Steven was the one flying it. I was just giving him piloting lessons" Tails says, "Well it looks like you're friend here is a life saver" Albert says and Steven chuckles nervously. "We're sorry if we frightened you just now, sir. I've never seen a stadium as pretty as this before. You know, the grass is practically glowing" Tails says, "This place is clean and beautiful" Steven says, "Thanks for the compliments. Lots of folks say that turf here at Diamond Stadium is the best in the world, which makes me happy because I've been the groundskeeper here at Diamond Stadium for 30 years." Albert says, "Thirty years?" Tails asked, "Wow..." Steven says, "You bet. Only I'm afraid today is my last day here at the old place" Albert says.

A picture shows the Diamond Baseball Team. "You see, the Diamonds' manager wants to build an indoor stadium with artificial turf, so this place is gonna be demolished" Albert says.

Back in reality, Albert continues. "I tell you, leaving this place behind feels like the end of an era. By the way, little fellas, did you mention something about an emerald?" Albert asked, "Yeah" Tails says as he pulls out the Green Chaos Emerald from his tails. "See, we're looking for an emerald just like this one. It's called the Chaos Emerald" Tails says, "A what? Would this be what you two are looking for?" Albert asked as he pulls out the Cyan Chaos Emerald out of his pocket. Steven and Tails then look shocked. "Ah, a Chaos Emerald!" Tails says, "How did you...?" Steven asked as Albert brings it close to the Green Chaos Emerald, "I saw it laying next to the dumpster a couple of nights ago. Wasn't sure what it was." Albert says off screen before both the Green and Cyan Chaos Emeralds start to glow. This made Albert, Steven and Tails gasped in surprise as the Chaos Emeralds get brighter and formed a beacon light signal in the sky. "Whoa..." Steven says.

In Station Square, everyone saw the beacon light. "What is that?" A lady asked before Scarlet and the cameraman pop out while eating and drinking. Scarlet and the cameraman also gasped at the beacon light.

Far away from Station Square, Knuckles also sees the light from a forest. "I know that light..." Knuckles says.

Inside the main room of Dr. Eggman's Fortress, Decoe saw the beacon light on the monitors. "Doctor Eggman, Doctor Eggman, you might want to take a look at this, sir!" Decoe says as he points at the monitor behing him, getting Dr. Eggman's attention. "What is that Light?" Dr. Eggman asked, "It appears to be coming from the baseball stadium" Decoe says, "A stadium, you say? Fascinating" Dr. Eggman says before he opens a drawer that had baseball equipment and holds a baseball in his hand before chuckling. "I have a feeling there's an Emerald out at that diamond" Dr. Eggman says before he makes a plan.

Fierce Fight! Sonic Baseball Team (Unfair Ball)

Inside the dining room of the Thorndyke Mansion, Amy, Cream, Cheese, Chuck, Chris and Sonic were sitting at the dining table as Ella was teaching Amy, Cream, Cheese and Chris manners and what silverware to use when eating while Sonic was eating an apple. "Let's start with our course. Which knife and fork should we use?" Ella asks, "Uh, these" Amy says while holding the right silverware, "I agree!" Cream says as she held the right silverware. "Chao, chao!" Cheese says while holding the right silverware. "Right, you're such smart children! And what good manners!" Ella says, "Chao!" Cheese says, "I don't see why we have to learn all this etiquette baloney in the first place" Sonic says, "My mom says it's important to learn good manners so we can eat properly" Chris says, "Well, I never learned anything about manners and I've been eating my whole life" Sonic says as he takes a bite on his apple. "Sonic, kindly use your fruit knife" Mr. Tanaka says while looking at Sonic. "I wonder what's keeping Tails and Steven. They should be back by now from Steven's flight lessons" Chuck says before Bokkun's laughter was heard and Bokkun flies into the dining room with a baseball hat on his head. "Sorry, I didn't know it was meal time, but Doctor Eggman's got a real important message for you" Bokkun says, "Ugh, not again!" Sonic says as he stands up. "How dare you barge in on us like this!? You need to learn some manners!" Mr. Tanaka says, "Eh, that's what you say" Bokkun says as he turns his head before the TV turns on and shows Dr. Eggman. "Good evening, Sonic. I suggest you take a look out your window" Dr. Eggman says, "Window?" Sonic asked as looks to his right.

Outside of the Thorndyke Mansion, Sonic opens the window as he, Chris and Chuck get a closer look.

Back inside the dining room, Sonic, Chris and Chuck see the beacon light coming from Diamond Stadium. "What is it? Chuck asked, "That light's coming from a Chaos Emerald!" Cream says, "Is she right?" Chris asked, "You are half right, Cream. But that's not just one Chaos Emerald" Sonic says and Dr. Eggman chuckles from the TV, causing Sonic to turn around. "Correct. We both want those emeralds, but why not be good sports about it? That's why I suggest you suit up and meet me over… at the Diamond Stadium" Dr. Eggman says as he changed into his Baseball uniform on TV. "Diamond Stadium?" Mr. Tanaka asked, "What for?" Chuck asked, "I challenge you and your friends to a game of winner-take-all baseball." Dr. Eggman says and he laughs before the TV turns off. Sonic then shakes a little. "You guys might be a little rusty, so how about some batting practice?" Bokkun says and giggles as he takes out a bat, making Sonic nervous. "Uh-oh" Sonic says and Bokkun laughs as he started hitting a lot of baseball everywhere. This caused the guys to stand up and dodge while and the Amy, Cream and Cheese shield themselves on the floor. Then suddenly, Ella grabs Bokkun by the head, making Bokkun stop. "You got a decent swing, but you keep hitting it foul!" Ella says, making Bokkun give a look.

Back outside the Thorndyke Mansion, Bokkun was thrown away outside. "You good for nothing!" Ella says off screen while Bokkun screams.

Back in the dining room, Ella was on the table while Chris and Chuck watched where Ella threw. "What kind of pitch was that?" Chris asked, "I think it was a screwball" Chuck says, "We have to get to that stadium!" Sonic says.

Back outside, Chris, Chuck, Mr. Tanaka, Amy, Cream and Cheese were in the car driving off with Sonic running. Chuck puts a baseball head on while chuckling. Sonic runs ahead with the car following from behind.

Back outside of Diamond Stadium, the glow slowly dies out.

Back on the field in Diamond Stadium, the Cyan and Green Chaos Emeralds stopped glowing. "What just happened there, little fellas?" Albert asked, "Yeah, Tails. What was that light?" Steven asked, "That always happens when Chaos Emeralds come together. I just hope the wrong person didn't see it" Tails says until Dr. Eggman's chuckle was heard off screen, causing Tails and Steven to look up to see Dr. Eggman. "Well, if it isn't my foxy high-flying friend. And I see you're here as well, kid" Dr. Eggman says, "Doctor Eggman!" Tails and Steven said at the same time and Dr. Eggman chuckles again before looking around. "Uh? Uh? Where's the rest of your team? It's almost game time" Dr. Eggman says, "Forget it. You want the Chaos Emeralds, but we won't give 'em to you" Tails says, "We're not gonna tell you where the others are either, Dr. Eggman!" Steven says "Could it be Sonic and his pals are choosing to forfeit? I must say that's very unsportsmanlike of them. If there's one thing I hate more than a meddling hedgehog, it's a quitter" Dr. Eggman says off screen, "I don't get it. What're you talking about?" Tails asked, "If they won't play ball with me, I still win" Dr. Eggman says as under his Egg Mobile reveals a mechanical arm and charges at Tails and Tails screams. "Tails, look out!" Steven says before pushing Tails out of the way. The mechanical hand then faces Albert. "W-W-What's going on here anyway?" Albert asked as the mechanical hand reaches and grabs Albert's hand. Albert tried to fight it. "Leave him alone!" Steven says as he went up to Albert and the hand. Steven tried to get the mechanical hand off of Albert's, but the hand won and got the Cyan Chaos Emerald. "Oh, no! He's got the Emerald!" Tails says and Steven helps Albert up. "Are you okay?" Steven asked, "Yes, thank you" Albert says as Dr. Eggman takes the Cyan Chaos Emerald from the mechanical hand while chuckling. "One down, one to go! Hand it over. I won it fair and square! Now give me that second Emerald or I'll have to use a force play" Dr. Eggman says, "I'd like to see you try it!" Tails says before running. "C'mon..." Dr. Eggman says off screen as the mechanical charged at Tails while Tails struggles to speed up. "Tails, throw me the Chaos Emerald!" Steven says. Tails throws the Chaos Emerald and Steven catches it. Steven faces the mechanical hand. "You're not getting this Chaos Emerald!" Steven says as he was about to take his blaster and fire it.

With Knuckles, he was about to throw a punch. "TAILS! STEVEN!" Knuckles says.

Back on the field, the mechanical hand was destroyed in pieces. Tails and Steven look to see Knuckles while Knuckles does the same for them "That was close! Tails, Steven, you two all right?" Knuckles asked, "Knuckles! Am I glad to see you!" Tails says, "Good to see you again, Knuckles!" Steven says as he puts away his blaster weapon. Knuckles lands before looking at Dr. Eggman. "Well, look who it is. I like your costume" Knuckles says while Dr. Eggman grumbles. "You again... And what brings you here? Doing Sonic's dirty work?" Dr. Eggman asked as Tails and Steven went up to Knuckles. "Let's get out of here, guys" Knuckles says, "Okay" Tails says, "But what about-" Steven says before he was cut off, "You don't have to!" Sonic says off screen, "Huh?" Steven, Tails and Knuckles asked as they heard and saw a blur running on the bleachers and running around Steven, Tails and Knuckles a couple of times before stopping to reveal Sonic. "Hey, how's it going, Knuckles?" Sonic asked as Knuckles smiled. "Well, if it isn't Sonic... I thought you weren't going to show up, so I took one of the Emeralds and I was just collecting the second" Dr. Eggman says as Mr. Tanaka, Amy, Cream, Cheese, Chuck and Chris went up to Sonic, Steven, Tails and Knuckles. "But now that you're here, maybe we can play ball" Dr. Eggman says off screen, "All right! Just give us back that Chaos Emerald!" Sonic says, "All in good time, my speedy little opponent. But first, let me introduce you to my fellow teammates" Dr. Eggman says, "Huh?" Sonic asked until a shadow appears from above. Everyone looks up to see a big ship float above them. "What is that?!" Sonic asked while Chris gasped. The bottom door opens to reveal baseball robots named E-21 Ballios. The E-21 Ballios robots make robotic noisse as they land. "They're scaring me, Amy!" Cream says as she and Cheese huddle around Amy. "It's okay" Amy says before the E-21 Ballios robots line up and Dr. Eggman jumps out of his Egg Mobile and laughs. "Not too shabby, eh? Now why don't we knock off the pre-game ceremonies and get to the reason we're all here. It's now game time!" Dr. Eggman says, "Let's play ball!" Decoe and Bocoe said at the same time as they got in front of De. Eggman and the E-21 Ballios robots. "You can't have your game here-!" Tails says until Chuck goes in front of him. "Wait! It just so happens, ol' Grandpa Chuck here is a big baseball fan from way back!" Chuck says, "Huh...?" Tails asked from behind, "A nice friendly game of baseball sounds like a great idea to me!" Chuck says, "But… But, Chuck…" Tails says before Dr. Eggman laughs. "Ah, so you're Chuck, are you...? Well, It's a great pleasure to finally meet you. A ball game must sound most exciting after being cooped up in that laboratory of yours day after day" Dr. Eggman says before Tails rants up to Dr. Eggman. "Hey, if you want to have a ball game, then you have to have it someplace else. Isn't anybody listening to me?" Tails asked. Steven looks around to see everyone not paying attention to Tails. This made Steven hold his laugh. "I don't think so, Tails..." Steven says, "Well, Eggman, if the others are up for it, I would be more than happy to accept your challenge" Chuck says before Tails rants up to Chuck. "But you can't have your game here! You're gonna ruin all the beautiful turf!" Tails says, "Tails..." Steven says as he continues holding his laughter. "What's that loud-mouthed fox getting so bent out of shape for?" Decoe asked, "Who knows?" Bocoe asked before Tails went up to them. "Hey! I'll have you know this stadium means a lot to mine and Steven's friend" Tails says before Albert walks up from behind Tails. "It's okay, Tails." Albert says, "Huh?" Tails asked as he looks at Albert. "Only a matter of time before it's demolished anyway" Albert says, "Hmm... I guess this place really did have a good run while it lasted..." Steven says before Chris and Chuck turn to Albert. "Hmm? Have I seen you somewhere?" Chuck asked, "Maybe during the seventh inning stretch. My name's Albert Butler. I'm the head groundskeeper here." Albert says, "Ah, I thought you looked familiar. I've seen you on television. You were good friends with the owner of the Diamonds, Elmer Johnson, right!?" Chuck asked, "Wow, you know him?" Chris asked, "Elmer and I don't talk much anymore." Albert says before Chuck cries. "This is such an honor to think that I get to play baseball at the world-famous Diamond Stadium-" Chuck says, "Play...?" Chris asked while sweat dropping. "Stop your blubbering and let's play baseball!" Dr. Eggman says, causing Chris and Chuck to backup. "Okay" Amy says, "How do we play?" Cream asked, "Chao?" Cheese asked, "I'm not really sure, guys" Steven says before Chuck goes in front of them. "All right, everybody! Time for the Chaos Emerald baseball playoff!" Chuck says to the readers before Dr. Eggman pushes his face. "Out of the way... It's the first annual Eggman Intergalactic Baseball Challenge." Dr. Eggman says to the readers. "This is sad..." Knuckles says as he and Chris sweat drop. "And totally embarrassing..." Chris says while Steven chuckles a bit. Mr. Tanaka stretches his legs with his baseball uniform. "One, two, three, four..." Mr. Tanaka says, "Does he have to be on our team...?" Sonic asked as he was on top of one of the E-21 Ballios robot's head. "Amy, Steven, do we get to play, too?" Cream asked, "Don't see why not" Amy says, "Chao, chao?" Cheese asked, "This should be interesting" Steven says, "Oh, yeah." Mr. Tanaka says as he continues exercising while Dr. Eggman was practicing on his swinging, "Hey, Grandpa, I'm not so sure this baseball game is such a good idea. What if Eggman's got something up his sleeve?" Chris asked off screen, "Chris, you may be right. For all we know, that guy could be using a corked bat" Chuck says, "That's not exactly what I meant" Chris says while sweat dropping. "Let's decide which team will be the first to bat, Rock, paper-" Dr. Eggman says before he was cut off. "You can't be serious!" Knuckles says and Chuck and Dr. Eggman look at him. "You do know what will happen if Doctor Eggman wins, don't you? He won't just be winning the game, but the Chaos Emeralds, too. If Eggman wins this game, it'll mean nothing but catastrophe for all of us!" Knuckles says, "He does have a point" Steven says before Dr. Eggman and Chuck look at Knuckles with slick looks. "I'd say that's nothing but stinking thinking" Dr. Eggman says, teasingly. "Why ruin everyone's fun, huh?" Chuck asked with the same tone, "Come on, Knuckles, don't you wanna play?" Amy asked with the same tone and going up to Knuckles, "Don't be chicken" Cream says with the same tone, "Chao, chao" Cheese says as they went up to Knuckles. "Me? Chicken?" Knuckles asked off screen, "Perhaps Mr. Knuckles is simply afraid to play a game of baseball, hmm?" Mr. Tanaka asked with the same tone as he went in front of Amy, Cream and Cheese. "Afraid? I'm not afraid of anything" Knuckles says while growing a vein on his head as everyone except Sonic, Chris and Steven gang up on him teasingly. "Great, then you'll play, huh?" Sonic asked as he goes next to Knuckles, causing Knuckles to grumble and look down. Steven saw this and decided to take action by stepping in. "Hey, guys. Cut it out. If Knuckles doesn't want to play, then he doesn't have to play. Don't just tease him about his opinion. That's not nice" Steven says, causing Dr. Eggman, Chuck, Mr. Tanaka, Tails, Amy, Cream, Cheese and Sonic to back away in surprise. "But, Steven. You see, this is how we get Knuckles to do something for us if he doesn't want to" Sonic says, "If Knuckles doesn't do it, then this is how we get him to do it, Steven" Amy says, "That's why I like to get something done on my own!" Knuckles says, causing Steven to spread his hands out. "Okay, okay! Let's calm down for a second. Knuckles, let's have a quick talk" Steven says as he pulled Knuckles away from everyone else. "I swear they always treat me like I'm a real coward!" Knuckles says, "Knuckles, relax. It's okay. Just ignore them for now and pay attention to me. Tell me, Knuckles. Why don't you like the idea of playing baseball?" Steven asked, "Because I feel like Eggman will try something up his alley if we play" Knuckles says. Steven looks towards Dr. Eggman who was looking innocent. Steven then looks back at Knuckles. "Okay. I can understand that, but at the same time, Knuckles, we really don't really have a lot of options right now. So it looks like we're gonna have to play Baseball whether you like it or not. Especially since the way how everyone was acting towards you" Steven says, causing Knuckles to grunt a bit. "Knuckles, I understand if you think it's ridiculous, but it actually might not be too bad if you give it a try. Who knows? You might find baseball enjoyable then you think. And if Dr. Eggman tries something, I'll do my best to stop him" Steven says and Knuckles thinks a bit. "Listen, Knuckles. If you won't do it for yourself, then do it for all of us that want to go back to our home world. You want to go home too, right? So do this and we'll get home faster before you know" Steven says. After a few seconds, Knuckles makes his decision. "Alright, Steven. I'll play" Knuckles says, giving up and smiling. "That's the spirit! Now go over there and show everyone that your a team player" Steven says, causing Knuckles to laugh a bit. "Sure" Knuckles says before he and Steven went back to everyone. "Has it been decided, Steven?" Sonic asked, "I'll let Knuckles answer that for you" Steven says before nodding to Knuckles. Knuckles nods back and faces everyone. "All right, you asked for it! You want a team player, I'll give you a team player! Let's get this game on!" Knuckles says, "That's the spirit! Now since this is my first time playing baseball, I think I'll have a little bit of fun to encourage our team a bit" Steven says in his head.

Back on the field of Diamond Stadium, Sonic's team was batting and Dr. Eggman's team was on the field. Sonic's team also had baseball outfits and hats on. "Let's play ball" Decoe says as he lifts his hand up. Decoe was the umpire along with a E-21 Ballios robot and Chris was first to bat. "Bring it on" Chris says as the pitching E-21 Ballios throws a fastball and Chris gets a strike. Chris exclaims in shock. "Strike one!" Decoe says and Chris looks confused while Sonic whistles. Steven blew a bubble gum and it popped all over his mouth. Steven looks at the pitching E-21 Ballios with a confused look. Chris got another strike, causing the scoreboard to light up signally the strike. "Strike two!" Decoe says off screen as another green light lit up. Chris then gets another strike. "Strike three. One out!" Decoe says off screen as the scoreboard out lights up red. Chris then makes his way back the seats. "How could anybody hit a ball that fast?" Chris asked while Dr. Eggman chuckles. "Loser! Okay, boys, send in the next sucker!" Dr. Eggman says as it was Tails's turn to bat. "It'll probably be a fast ball!" Tails says as the pitching E-21 Ballios extends its arm and throws the ball lightly to the umpire E-21 Ballios' glove, making it a strike. "Strike one!" Decoe says off screen and the pitching E-21 Ballios brings its arm back. "Hey, umpire, that's not fair!" Tails says as he had a vein on his head. "what do you want? It's not my fault he's got long arms" Decoe says. It was now Amy's turn to bat, but instead of a bat, she's using her hammer. "Give me your best pitch, ball boy!" Amy says as the pitching E-21 Ballios throws the ball. "I got it!" Amy says as she hits the ball. Sonic's team along with Albert cheer for Amy. "She did it!" Steven says, "We might not lose after all" Knuckles says as a E-21 Ballios on the field throws another E-21 Ballios in the air to catch the ball, making it out. The E-21 Ballios with the baseball lands back on the field. "She's out!" Decoe says off screen, "Huh? But I thought…" Amy says as she stopped running to the bases. Dr. Eggman then laughs. Steven saw Dr. Eggman and was annoyed. "Ugh I can't with that guy..." Steven says as he rolls his eyes in annoyance. The next inning was Sonic's team on the field and Dr. Eggman's team batting. Mr. Tanaka and Decoe were the umpires. "Now I'll show 'em what I can do. I'm a much better pitcher anyway..." Amy says as she was about to throw the ball. Steven rubbed his face at a fast pace, facing his baseball cap forward, slapping his cheeks, performing fart noises with his elbow, and moving his hands around. "Hit it to the guy in left, Amy. He's a real space case" Steven says mockingly. Amy throws the ball at the batting E-21 Ballios, but the impact caused the E-21 Ballios to break in pieces. "Oh!" Mr. Tanaka says, "Uh, sorry about that" Amy says as everyone sweat drops while the E-21 Ballios carries it's head to the bleachers. Another E-21 Ballios was next to bat. "Hey, batter robot. Hey batter robot. Swing the batter, robot" Steven says in a fast tone as he got ready. The E-21 Ballios next to Cream runs to the second base, getting Cream's attention. Amy throws the ball to Mr. Tanaka and Mr. Tanaka catches the ball. "Strike!" Decoe says as Mr. Tanaka throws the ball. "Not enough!" Mr. Tanaka says as the ball lies over Amy's head and Tails catches it "Come on, Tails!" Steven says as he hoped Tails would strike out the E-21 Ballios. tails looks to see the running E-21 Ballios. The E-21 Ballios then extends its legs and touches the base as Tails was next to the base. "Safe!" Decoe says off screen "Losing isn't fun..." Tails says as he looked at the readers. The next E-21 Ballios hits the ball and it goes out of the park. "And it's out of the park!" Dr. Eggman says as the Ballios rushes through the bases. Steven sniffs a flower on the ground before noticing the ball flying in the sky. Steven gasped and ran to where the ball was going. "I got it! I got it! I got it!" Steven says as he kept running, but suddenly, he tripped and fell on the ground. "Ooof! I don't got it..." Steven says as he watches the ball go. Sonic runs on to of the scoreboard and catches the ball. "Nicely done, Sonic!" Everyone except Chuck says off screen, "Home run! Home run!" Decoe says while waving his fist. "You caught it, Sonic, but if it's outside the fence, it doesn't count" Chuck says from the bleachers. "Who says we gotta play by the rules anyway!? Cut me some slack!" Sonic says. The next inning, Amy was turned to bat, but as she hit the ball, the ball crashes in the pitching E-21 Ballios, causing it to go to pieces again. "Sorry. That's a hit" Amy says as she was in first base. The pitcher E-21 Ballios stared at her while having its head held and shaking. It was Knuckles turn to bat and as he hits the ball, it was out of the park. "Sad to say, but it's a home run" Decoe says as everyone on Sonic's team cheers for Knuckles. "All right! Knuckles, you're awesome!" Steven says while Knuckles runs on the bases with a smile on his face. The scoreboard shows Sonic's team has 32 while Dr. Eggman's team is 35. On the benches, Scarlet and the cameraman were about to show a live feed of the game. "Alright, it's okay!" The cameraman says off screen, "Huh? Are you sure it's okay? Am I on? Ahem!" Scarlet says before facing the camera. "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. This is Scarlet Garcia with a live report from Diamond Stadium. There appears to be a most unusual baseball game happening right this moment. The notorious Doctor Eggman and a team of robots are playing a game against Sonic and friends here at the stadium" Scarlet says as the cameraman shows Sonic and Dr. Eggman. "How did this whole thing come about?" Scarlet asked.

At a family home, the parents and the child were watching the news in their living room. "I repeat! The notorious Doctor Eggman and a team of robots are playing a game against Sonic and friends here at the stadium"Scarlet says off screen.

Back at Station Square, people were watching Scarlet on multiple TV's. "The soon-to-be former home of the Diamonds" Scarlet says off screen.

At another part of Station Square, more people watch the news on a big tv. "This is certain to become sports history" Scarlet says

Back at Diamond Stadium, Scarlet calms down a bit before baking away from the camera. "This is Scarlet Garcia reporting. Stay tuned to SSTV for continuing coverage of this momentous game." Scarlet says as she finishes. "We're closing in on 'em. Now let's give it our best shot. Tanaka-" Chuck says, "Yes, sir!" Mr. Tanaka says, "I'm putting in a pinch hitter for you!" Chuck says, "Huh?" Mr. Tanaka asked, causing his glasses to drop a bit. "It's Cheese!" Chuck says, "Chao!" Cheese says happily as it was their turn to bat. The pitching E-21 Ballios locates the spot to throw from it's scanners. The pitching E-21 Ballios sweat drops and throws the ball above Cheese's head. "Ball one!" Decoe says and a camera click happens. The pitching E-21 Ballios throws the ball lower. "Ball two!" Decoe says and another camera click happens. The pitching E-21 Ballios throws the ball and it bounces off the home base. "Ball three!" Decoe says and another camera click happens. The pitching E-21 Ballios throws the ball again. "Ball four! Take your bas!e" Decoe says and Cheese chirps happily and flies to first base while Dr. Eggman gets mad. "You big loser! You call yourself a pitcher!?" Dr. Eggman asked and the pitching E-21 Ballios sweat drops a bit. With Chuck, he was whispering something to Cream. "Understand? Give it your best shot!" Chuck says, "Okay" Cream says as it was her turn to bat. "Play ball!" Decoe says as the pitching E-21 Ballios was about to throw. "Oh, Mr. Pitcher!" Cream says, causing the pitching E-21-Ballios to hold his position. "I...I wanted to say this since I first saw you..." Cream says with her eyes shining along with bubbles flying around with a blue, green, yellow and white background. This caused the pitching E-21 Ballios pitcher to blush. "Oh, Mr. Pitcher robot!" Cream says, making the pitching E-21 Ballios to continue blushing. "I...Love...You..." Cream says and the pitching E-21 Ballios head was red with steam blowing out and drops the ball. "Balk. Batter takes first base" Decoe says as Cream goes to first base. "Thank you, Mr. Pitcher!" Cream says and Dr. Eggman gets furious and shouts. "I ought to throw you on a scrap heap!" Dr. Eggman says as the pitcher sweat drops a little again. Next it was Knuckles again and he hits another home run. "All right, Knuckles, another home run" Chuck says off screen, "That means we're 3 points from winning!" Amy says off screen before Chris sees something and gasped. "Look everybody!" Chris says as some people were sitting on the benches watching the game and eating and drinking. "Hey, hey!" a boy says while wearing a baseball mitt. "Hey, you guys, Hit a homer over this way!" Another boy says while wearing a baseball mitt. "Huh?" Chuck asked in shock. "Where'd all these people come from?" Albert asked as the scoreboard shows 34 for Sonic's team and 35 for Dr. Eggman's team. It was Sonic's turn to bat as he does a light tap on the ball. An E-21 Ballios tried to get the ball, but Sonic was already at first base. "You strike out that squirt or else…" Dr. Eggman says as it's Chris's turn again to bat. The E-21 Ballios pitcher did a fastball, making Chris scared as it was a strike. "Strike one!" Decoe says off screen, "Oh, no. What if I let the whole team down?" Chris asked while Sonic watches. Steven saw this from his team's bleachers. "That pitcher thinks it's smart with those throws..." Steven says. The pitching E-21 Ballios throws another ball and Chris gets another strike. "Strike two!" Decoe says off screen "Time out" Sonic says off screen, getting Chris' attention. "Hey Chris" Sonic says as Chris goes over to Sonic. "Sonic..." Chris says, "I know you can get a hit. There's nothing to it Chris. All you have to do is concentrate" Sonic says and Chris sighs. "That's easy for you to say. He's pitching so fast" Chris says while looking down. "So he's throwing a couple of fast balls. You can't let that get you down, pal. Just keep on trying and don't give up" Chris says as Chris looks surprised. "Now get out there and do your best" Sonic says as he winks and Chris smiles. "Okay" Chris says and goes back to batting. "Play ball!" Decoe says as Chris thinks about what Sonic told him. "Sonic is right! I just have to keep trying!" Chris says in his head as the pitching E-21 Ballios pitcher does another fast ball. "I have to swing the bat with all my might!" Chris says in his head before he swings with all his might, ausing his hat to come off. "Strike three!" Decoe says off screen "At least I tried my best" Chris says, "CHRIS, RUN!" Chuck says off screen, causing Chris to look to see the umpire E-21 Ballios running after the ball. "Alright! It's a passed ball!" Chris says and runs. "Go! Go! Go!" Steven says while swinging his hat around his finger. Sonic ran on all the bases and Chris slides to first base while a E-21 Ballios catches the ball. "Safe!" Decoe says off screen, "I did it! I got to first base!" Chris says as Sonic gives him a thumbs up from home-base. The scoreboard changes to 34 for Sonic's team. Sonic's team was 34 and Dr. Eggman's team is 35. Sonic's team along with Albert cheered and Dr. Eggman was mad. "Darn them! No more playing around! Alright, team! Time to get serious! Send in one more sucker out of random!" Dr. Eggman says and this caused the E-21 Ballios' to show angry eyes. "Those players look serious now" Amy says, "They appeared to have stepped up their game" Mr. Tanaka says as E-21 Ballios was using it's scanners to choose the next batter. The scanner then stops on Steven. The E-21 Ballios then pointed at Steven. "Yeah? Well so will I" Steven says as he held on to a bat. "Good luck, Steven" Chuck says while Steven made his way to home base. Steven taps his bat on the home base. "Bottom of the 9th tie score and exactly who you wanted to play with a game on the line - Steven! But staring him down from the pitcher's mound is the most fearsome robotic southpaw's in Dr. Eggman's territory... Uh... What're their names?" Steven asked "They're E-21 Ballios!" Dr. Eggman says off screen, "Okay! The most fearsome robotic southpaw's in Dr. Eggman's territory - Ballios!" Steven says before he positions himself. "Play ball!" Decoe says as he raises his hand. "Okay. Focus, Steven. If you win this game, you'll be the most beloved player on the team" Steven says to himself. The pitching E-21 Ballios throws a super fastball. To everyone, it felt that Steven wasn't gonna hit the ball. To Steven, it felt like it time was going slow. Once Steven saw that it was close enough, he took the chance to swing his bat. As time went back to normal, Steven hits the ball and the ball goes flying. Sonic's team and Dr. Eggman's team gasp while one of the E-21 Ballios on the field tried to catch it, but it slipped as the ball kept going. Steven took the chance and started running on the bases. Chris also took the chance to run to homebase. The scoreboard changes to 35 as Sonic's team and Dr. Eggman's team we're now tied. While another E-21 Ballios grabs the ball from the ground and throws it to the second base E-21 Ballios, Steven saw this and took the chance to jumped and he saw the ball go past the second base E-21 Ballios. "What!?" Dr. Eggman asked in shock while Steven was almost to third base. "Go home! Go home!" Chuck says anxiously as he swings his hat around. Steven was then on his way to homehomebasebase. The E-21 Ballios with the ball started rocketing towards home base. Steven saw this and ran faster to home base. Steven then lets out a yell as he does a jump dash to homebase. Steven saw he was about to touch home-base until the E-21 Ballios with the ball crashed into Steven. This caused a huge dust to burst, causing the crowd and Sonic's team to gasped. The dust clears up to show a pile of dirt on the E-21 Ballios who had the ball and Steven. Steven coughs a bit before the E-21 Ballios tosses the ball to the umpire E-21 Ballios. "He's out!" Decoe says off screen, causing the crowd to give sad murmurs. Sonic's team except Sonic and Knuckles also gave sad murmurs while Dr. Eggman laughs. "That's more like it! Well played team! Well played!" Dr. Eggman says, "Wait!" Sonic says off screen, "Huh!?" Dr. Eggman asked. Sonic and Knuckles went up to Decoe, the Umpire E-21 Ballios, the E-21 Ballios who had the ball and Steven. Sonic looked around the area where the home-base was buried. "Knuckles, sweep around there" Sonic says, "With pleasure" Knuckles says as he dug some of the dirt off around the area. Steven coughed a bit from the dust. "He's..." Sonic says, "He's..." Knuckles says as he finishes digging all the dirt off. The smoke clears to reveal that Steven's shoe was touching home-base by the tip. "My apologize, but it's a safe. He is safe" Decoe says. The crowd and Sonic's team along with Albert cheered for Steven while Dr. Eggman yells in shock. The scoreboard on Sonic's team then changes to 36, meaning that Sonic's team won the game. Steven looks up and saw Chris, Mr. Tanaka, Chuck, Albert, Cream, Cheese, Amy and Tails cheering for him while Sonic and Knuckles give a thumbs up. Steven puts a smile on his face before standing up and jumping for victory. "Aw yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! I did it! Did you see that!? I did it! I did it..." Steven says as he made his way to his team and they all congratulate him. "We really turned the tables! We did it!" Steven says off screen while Dr. Eggman gets furious. "Oh yeah! Those bumbling clowns, they won't make a fool out of me." Dr. Eggman says as Bocoe gives him a device with a button on it. "Here you go" Bocoe says, "Why you...!" Dr. Eggman says and grumbles before presses the button. This caused one of the E-21 Ballios's head to fly off and land on Sonic's head. "What's that!?" Sonic asked. Dr. Eggman and Bocoe panic in fake. "Oh, dear, my robot, it's malfunctioning. It will explode any minute now! Run, Sonic! Hurry! Run away!" Dr. Eggman says, "Sonic, what're we gonna do!?" Chris says as Sonic tries to get the E-21 Ballios's head off his head. "He's trying to get us to forfeit the game! I gotta get rid of this thing quick!" Sonic says as he tried to get off. Steven then runs up to Sonic. "Pop off!" Steven says as he tried to get the E-21 Ballios' head off of Sonic's with all his might while grunting and struggling. Steven eventually got it off Sonic's head, causing him to fall on the ground. Steven then sits up and looks around. "Did I get it?" Steven asked as he didn't notice he had the E-21 Ballios' head on his head. "Nope!" Sonic says as he points to Steven's head. Steven looked up and yelled before trying to get the E-21 Ballios' head off his head. Sonic then went up to Steven. "Here, hold still!" Sonic says as he and Steven tried to remove the E-21 Ballios' head off Steven's head. "It's going...! It's going...!" Steven says before Sonic gets the E-21 Ballios' head off Steven's head. The E-21 Ballios' head then placed it self back on Sonic's head. "It's still here..." Steven says and Sonic looks on top of his head. "I'll try running around. That way we'll see if it'll come off!" Sonic says before he ran around the park trying to get the E-21 Ballios' head off. "Hey, you're really hanging on" Sonic says, "Sonic!" Knuckles says off screen, "Huh?" Sonic asked as he turned his head to the right. "JUMP, Sonic, hurry!" Knuckles says, "Okay!" Sonic says before he jumps up in the air. Knuckles jumps up as well and was about to throw a punch towards Sonic. "Hey, watch it, will ya!?" Sonic asked as Knuckles punches the E-21 Ballios' head off Sonic. The E-21 Ballios head flies off of Sonic's head. Sonic and Knuckles then fly in the air. "Thanks, you're a life savor!" Sonic says. The E-21 Ballios' head falls towards Steven. "Get out of here!" Steven says before he takes his blaster weapon out and fired it at the E-21 Ballios's head. This caused the E-21 Ballios' head to explode. "Ha, ha! Nailed it!" Steven says before he puts his blaster weapon away. Dr. Eggman then laughs. "You may have beaten me at baseball!" Dr. Eggman says as he was back on his Egg Mobile in the air while Sonic and Knuckles land between Steven. "But with this shiy blue Chaos Emerald snuggled ever so safely in my pocket, I'm the real winner after all, aren't I?" Dr. Eggman asked while laughing before flying away as the E-21 Ballios robot's spaceship follows him. "Are you okay, Sonic?" Steven asked, "Yeah, I'm fine. Nice aiming you got there" Sonic says, offering a fist bump. "Thanks!" Steven says as they did a fist bump with Knuckles smiling. "Now he has both the Chaos Emeralds!" Amy says before they hear cheering from the crowd. Sonic's team and Albert look at the crowd in shock. "Good job! That was so much fun!" a man says from the crowd off screen, "What an amazing team!" a girl from the crowd says, "It was a fantastic game!" another man says from the crowd, "It was a lot of fun!" another man says from the crowd as they continue cheering. "As you can see, There's been quite a turn out for this event. The game was, of course, the last to be played here at the stadium." Scarlet says before she notices something and gasped. "Could that be!?" Scarlet asked as a man steps into the field. The man was known as Elmer Johnson. "Hey, look, that's Elmer Johnson!" Chris says as Elmer goes up to Albert. "I was watching at home. I must say it was quite a remarkable game. It's all thanks to you, Al, and I...Well, Al, I can't help but think how much you've done for the Diamonds over the years and what a great friend you've been." Elmer says, "Thank you..." Albert says, "I'm thinking of moving the Diamond turf over to the new stadium intact. I sure could use your help" Elmer says holding his hand out as Albert gasps. "Sure thing" Albert says as he and Elmer shake hands. "Well, we may have lost the Chaos Emeralds, but I think we've learned an important lesson about working together, And I'm sure you'll agree, we'll be even stronger next time we meet Eggman" Chuck says to everyone as they smiled. "Though this concept doesn't exist in the Major League..." Chuck says.

Outside of Diamond Stadium, Chuck continues off screen while the crowd continues to cheer. "...Today's game was still great" Chuck says off screen "Yes!" Steven says off screen as tonight has been a successful night for everyone.

Fu-tu-re (ミ・ラ・イ, Mi-ra-i)

Clips were playing from the next Chapter/Episode. "Hey! It's me, Steven the Hedgehog! Since Chaos Control took place, someone named Rouge the Bat also got transported to Earth too. From what I've heard, she's a jewel thief so I think she was responsible for the stolen Diamond from the Museum the other night. Meanwhile, the President thought in order to defeat Dr. Eggman, he would have to get me, Sonic and our friends to join his side by making a rumor about another Chaos Emerald in the abandoned factory. But things didn't turn out the way they wanted it done exactly as me along with Rouge ended up falling into the trap. Now the Government wants Rouge to be the President's agent and they want my help take down Dr. Eggman. The first step was to infiltrate Dr. Eggman's Fortress and then they'll go from there. I was not ready for any of this, but it looks like I have no choice but to accept without worrying about the consequences I'll be facing! Next time on Sonic X: Steven the Hedgehog! "The Beautiful and Mysterious Thief Rouge" ("Fly Spy"). Time to get sneaky!" Steven says off screen as the current Chapter/Episode ends.
