Steven's life began as a survivor in Sonic's World. Throughout the early years, Steven's heard stories about the adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends, who he wanted to be like despite his own flaws. But one day, Chaos Control happens and this caused Steven to meet Sonic, his friends along with new friends who will guide him to be one of the greatest heroes in the world.

25. Episode 24

Gotta Go Fast (Sonic X Theme) by NateWantsToBattle

At a Ranch, Sonic and Amy were confronted by Dr. Eggman and a robot named E-88 Lightning Bird. Amy looked nervous while Sonic got ready. E-88 Lightning Bird started charging towards them while making chicken noises and opened it's mouth to shine a bright light. This made Sonic and Amy yell and shield their eyes. After the light faded, Sonic opened his eyes. "Sonic!" Amy says off screen. "Whoa" Sonic says before he look to see Amy captured by E-88 Lightning Bird from the dress while E-88 Lightning Bird flies off. "Sonic!" Amy says, "BRING HER BACK!" Sonic says before Dr. Eggman laughs. "If you want her, come save her" Dr. Eggman says.

In the skies, E-88 Lighting Bird flew higher while holding onto Amy. "Let me go!" Amy says before she pulls her piko piko hammer out. "Idiot! Fool!" Amy says as she hits E-88 Lightning Bird's beak a few times, but nothing happened. Suddenly, Amy's dress started to tear a bit. Amy dropped her hammer as she felt the tear before screaming. "Help! Hey, that's a brand new dress, buddy!" Amy says.

Back on the ground, Sonic continued watching. "Amy, you just hang on tight!" Sonic says, "Sonic!" Amy says as she, Dr. Eggman and E-88 Lightning Bird were about to fly away.

Back in the skies, a twinkle was seen before it revealed the X-Tornado flies with Steven on the head of the X-Tornado while holding a ring

Inside the X-Tornado, Tails was flying it. "Okay, Steven, get ready to give Sonic the ring!" Tails says.

Back outside of the X-Tornado, Steven heard Tails. "Alright!" Steven says before the X-Tornado flew towards the ground.

Back at the Ranch, Sonic saw the X-Tornado fly towards him. "Sonic, use this ring!" Steven says as he held the ring out. "OKAY!" Sonic says before he gets ready. The X-Tornado flew down to Sonic and Steven extended his arm with the ring towards Sonic. Sonic brought his hand out and got the ring from Steven before the X Tornado flies away. "I GOT IT!" Sonic says before his fist glowed and Sonic formed into his spin attack. Sonic spins towards a farm tower and he spins upwards.

Back in the skies, Sonic was spinning towards, E-88 Lightning Bird, Dr. Eggman and Amy. Sonic smashes on E-88 Lightning Bird before he stopped spinning. This caused E-88 Lighting Bird to stop flying and let go of Amy. Then suddenly, a small electrical circuit flies inside Sonic's ear. Sonic then goes up to Dr. Eggman. "Huh, what's this?" Dr. Eggman asked in his head before Sonic kicks Dr. Eggman's Egg Mobile away in the sky with Dr. Eggman screaming. Amy screams as she falls before Sonic dives down and catches her. "Don't worry Amy, I gotcha" Sonic says while Amy's eyes sparkle. "You're my hero..." Amy says while they continue flying down.

Back on the ground, Sonic and Amy crashed into a hay stack. A few minutes later, Sonic and Amy were sitting and laying on the haystack while looking at the sky with the wind rustling, causing some hay to fly around. "Isn't this just beautiful...?" Amy asked as she looked around. "I wish we could stay here for days and just listen to the wind" Amy says before her eyes sparkles and blushes while closing her hands together. "Oh, wouldn't that be… romantic?" Amy asked before she heard scratching noises. Amy turns to see Sonic scratching his ear while not paying attention. "Have you been listening?" Amy asked before Sonic looks at her. "Say what?" Sonic asked before he grunts and pats his head a bit.

Inside Sonic's head, the patting caused vibration and it caused the small electrical circuit to go deeper in Sonic's ear.

Back outside, Amy wasn't happy. "Oh! You men!" Amy says before she humphs, closes her eyes and turns away from Sonic. Sonic then shrugs his shoulders. "Huh, what's wrong?" Sonic asked.

Sonic Goes Wild! Strategic Capture Operation (How to Catch a Hedgehog)

At the Thorndyke Mansion, it was a beautiful day.

At the Garage of the Thorndyke Mansion, Sonic was still scratching the inside of his ear while grunting from the roof while Amy watches from below and Mr. Tanaka was cleaning his car. "Oh! You're impossible...!" Amy says before Chris, Tails and Steven walk towards her. "You never hear a thing I say!" Amy says, "Hey, Amy, what's all the shouting about?" Chris asked, "Your friend Sonic's acting weirder than ever!" Amy say before she, Tails, Chris and Steven look towards Sonic. "Huh? What do you mean, he's acting weird?" Tails asked, "He's off in his own little world" Amy says, "But isn't Sonic normally like that?" Steven asked, "Try to explain that then!" Amy says, "Huh?" Chris asked before he, Steven and Tails look at Sonic again who was still scratching his ear. "That's not weird, Amy, that's Sonic..." Tails says off screen. "He's worse than ever! He hasn't listened to a single word I've said all day!" Amy says, "Well, maybe he's got something on his mind" Chris says before Amy turns to him. "I should have known you wouldn't understand!" Amy says, "Maybe there's something bothering him inside his ear and he's trying to get it out" Steven says, "Either way, he's getting on my nerves!" Amy says before Mr. Tanaka pressed a button on a remote.

Back inside Sonic's head, the small electrical circuit started to beep with a flashing light.

Back outside, Sonic felt it in his ear. "Oh!" Sonic says before groans while having a terrifying face. This made Chris, Steven, Tails, Amy and Mr. Tanaka to gasped. Sonic screams before he jumps down and runs away off the Thorndyke property. Steven, Mr. Tanaka, Chris, Amy and Tails watch Sonic leave so suddenly. "He does seem stressed..." Chris says, "He thinks he's stressed!? Try being me!" Amy says, "That'd be horrible" Chris says before Amy turns to Chris again. "What did you say?" Amy asked and Chris chuckled nervously. "Well something's definitely going on with him and we need to figure this out" Steven says, "The only way to find out what's really going on with Sonic is to follow him in the X Tornado" Chris says, "Hmm" Tails says as he nodded. "I'll follow him on foot" Steven says.

In Station Square, cars were driving by while Sonic was running out of control as he ran on the street. "I DON'T GET IT! I can't stop my feet!" Sonic says.

Back inside Sonic's head the small electrical circuit continues to beep.

Back in Station Square, Sonic grunted as he sidesteps from a car and jumps over another one. This caused the first car to pull the emergency breaks on the street with tires screeching. Sonic then looks back. "Haha, sorry" Sonic says before he looks forward.

At another part of Station Square, Sam was talking to a man with a mohawk. "Listen, punk, did you really think you could get away from "Galaxy High Wind"? Well think again! Your car may be cool, but if you don't wear seatbelts, you're a fool" Sam says before Sonic ran past him and the man. Sam then looks to where Sonic ran. "Huh? That was Sonic!" Sam says before he points and looks at the man with the mohawk. "Thanks to him... You're not getting a ticket today..." Sam says before he pushes the man with the mohawk aside. "Now go get a haircut!" Sam says before he goes in his regular speed car. The capsule windshield closes and the speed car screeches while backing up.

Inside Sam's speed car, Sam got his helmet on. "I got you now, Sonic!" Sam says.

Back outside, Sam drove his speed car before he makes a U turn on the streets.

Back with Sonic, he continues running while running between two cars and Sam's speed car drives past the cars with turns.

Back inside Sam's speed car, he takes his radio out. "This is "Galaxy High Wind" to base... In hot pursuit of highspeed hedgehog going south on Broad Street, over!" Sam says.

Back outside, Sonic continues running. "I can't stop!" Sonic says. Then from afar, Steven was running on the street while catching up to Sonic. Steven eventually ran pass Sam. "Hey, Sam!" Steven says.

Back inside Sam's speed car, Sam gasped. "Oh Steven! Looks like he's joining in too! This must be the race he wanted with me and Sonic then! Just wait Sonic and Steven! I'll be right there!" Sam says.

Back with Steven, he eventually ran next to Sonic. "Sonic, what's wrong?" Steven asked, "I don't know, Steven! My feet won't stop running!" Sonic says, "You're feet won't stop running?" Steven asked before looking at Sonic's feet and legs. "Does it have something to do with something in your ear?" Steven asked, "I don't know!" Sonic says, "Oh boy. Well Tails, Chris and Amy are on their way with the X Tornado!" Steven says, "Great!" Sonic says, "We also have Sam after us too!" Steven says before the XpTornado was flying above Station Square.

At the X-Tornado, Chris saw everything down below. "There's Uncle Sam and Steven!" Chris says while Tails and Amy look down. "Looks like Sam's trying to catch up with Sonic and Steven..." Tails says, "I'm gonna radio him" Chris says as he picks up a radio. "Hey, Uncle Sam, this is Chris" Chris says.

Back at Sam's Car, Sam heard Chris. "When you're on this frequency, it's "Galaxy High Wind" got it!? Besides, I can't chitchat right now. I'm on a mission" Sam says.

Back inside the X-Tornado, Chris continues. "Sorry... But I need to talk to you about Sonic..." Chris says.

Back inside Sam's speed car, Sam heard Chris again. "If you're calling me to ask me to take it easy on him and Steven, forget it! I've waited for a race with both Sonic and Steven and I'm not gonna wait any longer!" Sam says.

Back in the X-Tornado, Chris continues again. "But Sonic's acting really strange today. We're worried that there might be something wrong with him" Chris says.

Back inside Sam's speed car, Sam heard Chris once again. "There must be if he thinks he or Steven can beat "Galaxy High Wind"!" Sam says and he laughs before pressing down on the drive pedal.

Back outside, Sam's speed car speeds up on the streets.

Back in the X-Tornado, Chris scratches his head. "He acts weirder than Sonic..." Chris.

Back on the streets, Sam's speed car was catching up to Sonic and Steven.

Back inside Sam's speed car, Sam saw Sonic and Steven. "I got them now!" Sam says.

Back outside, Steven turns to his left to see Sam's speed car getting close. "Here comes Sam, Sonic!" Steven says. Then suddenly, Sonic goes super speed and goes past Sam and Steven. "What's going on!?" Sonic asked, "Now he's running faster! Something's definitely in Sonic's ear that's making him run so suddenly!" Steven says before pushes his speed to 25%. "Bye, Sam!" Steven says.

Back inside Sam's speed car, Sam saw this. "All right" Sam says as he was about to speed up, but his speed car was out of gas with an alarm blaring. "Huh? Out of gas!" Sam says.

Back outside, Sam's speed car stopped on the road.

Back inside Sam's speed car, Sam looks forward. "Those little hedgehogs, may have outrun me this time, but there's always next time. I'll get them..." Sam says.

Back with Sonic, he goes back to his normal speed. "Hmm" Sonic says while shrugging his shoulders and looking at the readers. Sonic then runs past a magazine and newspaper stand, making the paper flies everywhere and making the owner gasped and look to where Sonic ran.

Back with Steven, he saw this. "Uh oh" Steven says before he slows down a bit and stops in front of the stand. "I'm so sorry about Sonic. I'll help you put these back" Steven says before he gathers all the magazines and newspapers and places them back on the shelves. "Thank you, Steven" the owner says, "You're welcome!" Steven says before he went back to running after Sonic.

Back on the road, a trunk honked as Sonic was running towards it. "Oops!" Sonic says before he sidesteps and makes his way down the Metro Rail.

Underground of the Metro Rail, Sonic speeds past a few people down the stairs, making them grunt in confusion. Sonic grunts before he runs on the tracks. Suddenly, a train was coming by and Sonic sidesteps away, but another train comes from another direction. "There!" Sonic says before he jumps and runs on the train. Sonic then lands back on the tracks. "I hope there's light at the end of this thing" Sonic says while running in the tunnel.

Back above Station Square, the X-Tornado flies in circles.

Back with Steven, he was side stepping pass some vehicles while looking for Sonic. "Great. I lost him..." Steven says before he sees Sonic running out of the Metro Rail. "Oh! Never-mind" Steven says before he goes after Sonic.

Back at the X-Tornado, Chris sees Sonic and Steven. "There they are" Chris says and Tails and Amy look down as well. "They're heading for the fields..." Tails says, "I wonder why Sonic's going there" Amy says, "Let's hope that Steven can try and stop him" Chris says.

Sonic and Steven were about to run into the fields with the sky turning slightly orange at the fields.

At the fields, the sky was orange and Sonic was still running with Steven and the X-Tornado following him.

Back in the X-Tornado, Amy watches. "Still running..." Amy says.

The X-Tornado then descends a bit.

Back on the ground, Sonic grunts before speeding up again. "Not again" Steven says before speeding up to Sonic.

Back in the X Tornado, Amy continues to watch. "Now he's speeding up again. But why?" Amy asked.

Back on the ground, Sonic scratches his ear again. Steven then runs next to Sonic and saw what Sonic's doing. "Is there something in your ear, Sonic?" Steven asked, "I don't know" Sonic says while still scratching his ear.

Back in the X-Tornado, Amy remembers something. "Oh!" Amy says.

A flashback shows Sonic smashing E-88 Lightning Bird before he stopped spinning and the small electrical circuit flies inside Sonic's ear.

Back to reality, Amy finally realizes. "Maybe something happened to Sonic when he was battling that robot. Maybe Steven's right when he said something's wrong with Sonic's ear... That could be why he's acting this way" Amy says before Chris turns to Amy a bit. "What could it be?" Chris asked, "I don't know" Amy says, "Let's go talk to my grandpa. He might be able to figure out what's wrong" Chris says before Amy looked sad. "I hope so, because if something's wrong with Sonic, it's because he saved me" Amy says, "Let's pick Steven up, Tails" Chris says off screen.

The X-Tornado descends close towards the ground.

Back on the ground, Sonic continues to scratch his ear with Steven still running next to him. The X-Tornado then went next to Steven. "Steven, let's go. We'll figure all this out with grandpa" Chris says before Steven looks at Sonic. Steven then sighs. "Okay then" Steven says before looking back at Sonic. "Sonic, we're gonna figure this all out. I promise. Be careful out here" Steven says, "No problem. I know you guys will have a solution. I'll see you later, Steven" Sonic says before Steven jumps on the X-Tornado.

The X-Tornado then ascends back in the air.

Back inside the X-Tornado, Amy continues watching Sonic. "Please be okay, Sonic!" Amy says before the X-Tornado turns around and flies away.

Back on the ground, Sonic saw the X Tornado leave before speeding up again.

At another area in the skies, the Eggfort II was floating.

Inside the bridge of the Eggfort II, Decoe saw something from his monitor. "Doctor, here is something I think you will enjoy..." Decoe says before he turns on Dr. Eggman's monitor to show Sonic still running in the fields. This made Dr. Eggman laugh. "Well, well, looks like Sonic's working up quite a sweat" Dr. Eggman says, "Perhaps you might want to do the same, Doctor. You have been getting a bit round around the waist lately" Bocoe says, "What!?" Dr. Eggman asked while bringing his fist towards Bocoe, causing Bocoe to back up a bit. "Cut the wisecracks or I'll waste you, you impudent ash can!" Dr. Eggman says before he goes back to watching Sonic on the monitor. "Sonic, must be up to something, but what could it be?" Dr. Eggman asked.

At Chuck's secret laboratory of the garage, Steven, Tails, Amy, Cream, Cheese, Chris, Chuck, Ella and Mr. Tanaka were also watching Sonic from a surveillance while Chris explains to Chuck what happened. "He doesn't stop, Grandpa. He just keeps on running" Chris says, "We just have to figure out what's wrong with him" Amy says, "Is there any way we can tell what's wrong with Sonic, Chuck?" Steven asked, "The only way to find out is to examine him... But first we have to catch him" Chuck says while looking at everyone. "And that's not going to be easy" Chuck says off screen, "Well maybe I can try and catch him, Chuck" Steven says, "Maybe, but even if you did catch him, Steven, Sonic won't stop running regardless" Chuck says, "Then we need figure out how we can make him stop while he's still running" Tails says, "Hmm. Hmm!" Chuck says before he pounds his fist. "I think I may know a way!" Chuck says.

At the Thorndyke Mansion, it was night time and Amy was watching through the window of garage from the balcony. The window showed Tails, Chuck and Steven work on something before they yawn and continue. Amy gasped before she looks up at the full moon. "What's wrong, Sonic? Where are you?" Amy asked off screen.

Back at the fields, it was night time and Sonic continues running. "Almost there, almost there. Where am I going, anyway?" Sonic asked.

Back in the skies, the Eggfort II continues to float.

Back in the bridge of the Eggfort II, Dr. Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe were sleeping while snoring.

Back at fields, the sun was rising.

At a camp station called "Mission Room", Tails, Amy, Cream, Cheese, Chris, Ella and Mr. Tanaka were watching Steven and Chuck who were in front of a billboard. "With the help of Tails and Steven, I have devised a Battle name and plan that I believe will work. It's actually quite simple. Step one, we locate Sonic from the X Tornado" Chuck says.

A clip shows how the plan is gonna play out by showing Sonic running and the X Tornado following him. "Step two, we have Steven lure Sonic back to "Mission Room" Base" Chuck says off screen before it shows Steven jumping off the X-Tornado and running with Sonic following from behind. "Step three, we launch a specially-designed bubble bomb..." Chuck says off screen before it showed the X Tornado shoot out a couple missile at Sonic. "...Which will hold Sonic securely and lift him off the ground" Chuck says off screen before the last one hits Sonic. Sonic stops and goes floating in the air by a bubble gum on his back.

Back to reality, Chuck continues. "And once Sonic is off his feet, we can discover what's been causing him to run amok" Chuck says before turning towards Steven. "Steven, will you do the honors?" Chuck asked, "Let "Balloon Battle" begin!" Steven says, "YEAH!" Ella, Cheese, Cream, Tails, Chris and Mr. Tanaka said at the same time while raising their fists.

BALLOON BATTLE

At another part of fields, the X-Tornado flies above the ground with Steven on a wing. The X Tornado eventually flew above Sonic.

Back on the ground, Sonic saw the X-Tornado. "I've got company!" Sonic says.

At the X Tornado, Steven saw Sonic from a pair of binoculours. "I found our target, Tails" Steven says off screen. "Okay. Amy" Tails says before turning towards Amy.

Back inside the X-Tornado, Amy heard Tails. "You got it" Amy says before she pulls out a radio. "Target spotted, Chuck!" Amy says to the radio. "Roger, stay alert! Don't let him out of your sight" Chuck says from the radio off screen. "I'll stay on him! Steven, do your thing" Amy says.

Back outside of the X-Tornado, Steven was about to jump off. "Yes, ma'am" Steven says before he jumps off the X-Tornado.

Back on the ground, Steven lands and runs next to Sonic. "Hey, Sonic!" Steven says, "Glad to see you guys!" Sonic says, "Sonic, follow me!" Steven says before he speeds forward and makes a left turn. The X-Tornado makes a turn as well and flies in Steven's direction with Sonic following.

Back at the Mission Room tent, Chuck was watching the radar with Mr. Tanaka, Chris, Ella, Cream and Cheese watching from behind. "Get ready" Chuck says.

Back with Steven, he continues leading Sonic back to "Mission Room" while the X Tornado continues to follow.

Back at the X Tornado, the capsule windshield was opened and Amy had a bazooka in her arms. Amy then takes aim at Sonic. "FIRE!" Chuck says from the radio off screen and Amy fires the bazooka and a missile flies out. The missile then hits Sonic on the back. "Yow!" Sonic says.

Back at Mission Room, Mr. Tanaka grunts in success. "All right!" Mr. Tanaka says. Steven and Sonic then stop in front of Mission Room. ""Balloon Battle" was a success, everyone!" Steven says as he dusted his hands. Sonic groans as the bubble inflates, making Sonic float a bit.

Back in the X Tornado, Amy saw this. "It really worked!" Amy says.

Back at Mission Room, Sonic continues to float a bit while struggling to stop running. "Whoa. Whoa!" Sonic says before looking back at everyone. "Look, guys...! I'm flying!" Sonic says while the bubble gum balloon inflates a bit more. Steven chuckled as he saw this. "Okay, that looks fun" Steven says while Sonic laughs until the bubble gum balloon started to go higher a bit. "Whoa! Whoa!" Sonic says before he went a little higher. This made everyone else look shocked while Sonic screamed a bit before stopping in the air. Sonic then shakes his all around. "Hey... Get me down! I'm floating away!" Sonic says before he was blown away. "I guess "Balloon Battle" was a fail" Steven says, "Perhaps, I used too much helium" Chuck says, "I'll go after him" Steven says before he ran after Sonic.

EGGFORT II

At a forest at a lake area, Sonic was still screaming as he continue floating around while flying away. "Help me! Somebody get this thing off of me!" Sonic says before he continues to scream. Steven eventually was running after Sonic. "Don't worry, Sonic! I got your back!" Steven says. From the other side of the lake, Knuckles saw Sonic and Steven with his arms crossed. "Enough... Enough!" Sonic says off screen, "What now?" Knuckles asked. Sonic then saw Knuckles and shakes. "Hey, Knuckles! Help me!" Sonic says off screen before Knuckles picks up a rock. "...Help me!" Sonic says off screen before Knuckles grunts while throwing the rock. The rock pops the bubble gum balloon and Sonic screams and he falls. Sonic then hits a bush before crashing into the river. Steven then gasped while looking to where Sonic hit the water. "Oh no, Sonic!" Steven says as he was about to dive in the river, but Sonic jumps out the river and runs on the water. Knuckles then gets ready. "Here's a gift for you!" Sonic says before he runs pass Knuckles with water and dust blowing around. Knuckles than had a live fish in his hands while looking surprised. "Huh? What the?" Knuckles asked before the dust clears up. "Huh?" Knuckles asked before looking at the fish in his hands. Steven then lands next to Knuckles. "Knuckles, what happened?" Steven asked, "I don't know" Knuckles says while he continued looking at the fish. "Well follow me to the fields and we'll explain what's going on. Also, bring that fish with us. I'm sure Ella can cook us some lunch with that" Steven says before he walks. Knuckles snapped out of it before following Steven.

Back at fields, everyone was trying to come up with another plan. "Now what do we do?" Mr. Tanaka asked off screen. "Do you think he'll come back?" Chris asked, "I'm worried" Cream says and Cheese chirps. "It's all my fault" Amy says, "Just too much helium" Chuck says before Steven and Knuckles walk towards them while Knuckles still held onto the fish. "Huh?" everyone except Steven and Knuckles asked as they turn to them. "Hey, what's wrong with Sonic?" Knuckles asked before the fish stopped moving. "Before we explain..." Steven says before he takes the fish from Knuckles."Ella, can you make us some lunch out of this fish, please?" Steven asked. After a few minutes, Ella was cooking the fish out of soup. Chris, Mr. Tanaka Steven, Tails, Amy, Cream and Cheese explain the situation to Knuckles. "Hmmm... So what you're saying is we need to stop Sonic?" Knuckles asked, "That's right" Steven says, "How will you stop me?" Amy asked before Knuckles brings his fist out. "With this" Knuckles says before chuckling. Amy was then about to take her piko piko hammer out. "Don't be so violent!" Amy says before she positions herself with the piko piko hammer, making the others look at her. "Amy, relax" Steven says before Knuckles sweat drops a bit. "Ok fine, I won't!" Knuckles says before he points his thumb downwards to the right "Amy is scary..." Cream says while sweat dropping. "Chao" Cheese says, "Uh huh. You don't want to get on her bad side" Steven says before Ella carries the pot of fish soup towards them. "Everyone, please calm down. I bet you come up with a new way to help Sonic after you have a nice hot lunch" Ella says, "Ella's right. Let's all take a break and have lunch together" Steven says.

Back in the skies, the Eggfort II was flying.

Back inside the bridge of the Eggfort II, Dr. Eggman was holding sticked together chopsticks in his hands. "Sonic is training energetically.." Dr. Eggman says before he breaks the chopsticks in two. "Then I want..." Dr. Eggman says before Decoe and Bocoe nodded. "You want?" Decoe and Bocoe asked at the same time before Dr. Eggman began eating food from a japanese bowl. "To eat dinner energetically!" Dr. Eggman says while eating.

Back at the fields, everyone was eating fish soup and bread on a picnic blanket. Steven has his hands together while having his eyes closed. "Thank you for the food" Steven says before he started to eat fish soup and bread. "This is good. Delicious..." Cream says, "I bet poor Sonic must be starving by now" Amy says before she eats. "I'm sure he's fine, Amy" Chuck says. As Tails was eating a piece of bread while gulping, a tumbleweed rolls, causing Tails to roll away. "Whoa!" Tails says and Steven chuckled a bit. "That game looks like a lot of fun, Tails!" Cream says, "Chao, chao!" Cheese says. Tails groans as he continued to roll around. Chuck then stands up. "That's it!" Chuck says.

Another clip shows how the next plan is gonna play out by showing Knuckles holding a wheel from the top of a hill. "Knuckles will wait at the top of the hill with a specially engineered wheel trap..." Chuck says off screen before it shows Sonic running towards Knuckles and the wheel. "As Sonic approaches" Chuck says off screen before Knuckles pushes the wheel down a hill. "We'll give the signal" Chuck says off screen as it showed Sonic being trapped on wheel trap while still running. "And Knuckles will roll the wheel down the hill, trapping Sonic inside!" Chuck says off screen.

Back to reality, Chuck continues. "He'll be like a hamster in a cage" Chuck says before turning towards Steven. "Steven, what name should we give this battle?" Chuck asked, "Hmm... Let's call it "White Mouse Battle"!" Steven says, "YEAH!" Ella, Cheese, Cream, Tails, Amy, Chris and Mr. Tanaka said as they raised their fist while Knuckles had his arms crossed behind them.

WHITE MOUSE BATTLE

Back with Sonic, he was still running before he noticed something. "Huh?" Sonic asked as he saw a red arrow pointing left on a rock wall. Sonic then turns left and turns right at a red arrow.

Chuck Mr. Tanaka then saw Sonic running to where they want him. Chuck then turns to Mr. Tanaka. "All right, Tanaka, he's almost in position!" Chuck says, "Right!" Mr. Tanaka says before Amy tying on an apron around her. "Then at this time, I'll..." Amy says before poses at the readers.

Back with Sonic, he continued running.

Back with Chuck, he was gonna give the word. "ROLL IT!" Chuck says and Mr. Tanaka waves two blue and green flags with crescent moon signs towards Knuckles. Knuckles grunts as he manages to roll the wheel trap down the hill. The wheel trap continued rolling down the hill before Sonic saw the wheel trap rolling towards him. Sonic then ran pass Chuck while Chuck gave a thumbs up to Sonic and Sonic chuckled. As the wheel trap and Sonic were in contact, Chuck pressed a button on a remote. The wheel trap beeped as it activated a stand for the wheel while Sonic kept running in place. Steven, Mr. Tanaka, Chuck, Amy and Chris had smile on their faces. Chris then turns to Chuck "Haha! Hey, Grandpa, it works!" Chris says before Chuck turns to Chris. "Of course, it does!" Chuck says, ""White Mouse Battle" was a success after all!" Steven says. A tray pops out in front of Sonic and it had a glass of water and a chili dog. "I thought you might be hungry after all this running" Amy says before Sonic takes a bite of the chili dog. "Pretty tasty!" Sonic says, "Make sure to drink water too, Sonic" Steven says, "Okay!" Sonic says before giving a thumbs up. A few minutes later, Chuck, Amy, Steven and Knuckles continue to watch Sonic. Sonic then lets out a yawn with a tired look. "I'm feeling sleepy after dinner" Sonic says in his head before closing his eyes. "He looks like he's falling asleep!" Amy says, "That's good..." Chuck says before Amy looks at him. "If he falls asleep, he'll have to stop running" Chuck says, "Then we'll be able to examine him while he sleeps" Steven says before Amy faces Sonic again. "Maybe I can help, Sonic! Want me to sing you a lullaby?" Amy asked while Sonic nods his heard in a tired way. "No, thank you, Amy..." Sonic says.

Back inside the bridge of the Eggfort II, Dr. Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe continue to watch Sonic from the monitors. "That looks like fun. Exercising I mean. I can't be wasting my time! I'm going to start!" Dr. Eggman says, "You should..." Decoe and Bocoe at the same time while nodding before Dr. Eggman takes out a donut. "...After dessert" Dr. Eggman says and chuckles as he takes a bite on the donut. Deoce and Bocoe give unsatisfied looks. "Oh, Dr. Eggman, you're terrible!" Decoe and Bocoe said at the same time.

Back at the fields, everyone was waiting for Sonic to slow down, but Sonic kept running. Chris then looks at Chuck. "Looks like Sonic's nap isn't slowing him down at all. He's going even faster" Chris says, "I've never seen anything like it. His energy is positively boundless..." Chuck says, "Sonic has more power than my food processor" Ella says, "I wonder how long I'll run if I did the same thing..." Steven says while Sonic was gasping for air. Chuck then notices this. "Sonic, that wheel wasn't built to withstand this intensit!y" Chuck says before the support was beginning to burn up. Tails then looked nervous. "We've got trouble, Chuck!" Tails says before the support broke. This made everyone gasped before Knuckles was about to get run over. "Knuckles!" Steven says before he took the chance to push Knuckles out the way, but Steven yelled as he got flattened. "Steven!" Knuckles says before he went to help Steven. Sonic then made the wheel trap go flat on the ground. Everyone except Steven and Knuckles went up to Sonic while Sonic drilled through the ground like it was a saw blade.

At the hole, everyone looked at the bottom before a vibration was felt.

Back outside, Chuck looks forward. "RUN!" Chuck says and everyone except Steven and Knuckles scream and run before water sprouted out like a fountain with Sonic on top. "Wow!" Sonic says while he continued being blasted upwards. Chuck then looked nervous. "Well, that was a washout" Chuck says before Steven and Knuckles walk to Chuck with Knuckles helping Steven a bit. ""White Mouse Battle" wasn't the one... Back to the drawing board" Steven says before he sighs.

Back at Mission Room, it was sunset and everyone was discussing another plan. "So far your plans haven't worked, have they?" Amy asked, "Not quite, but I'm confident that if we just keep trying, we'll eventually come up with the plan that will work..." Chuck says before he looks over to Steven who was getting cream on his back by Ella. "Hopefully a third times a charm would work this time..." Steven says, "Hmm. I've got it!" Chuck says before everyone looked at him in a confused way. "In fact, it's the best plan I've had all day! We just need a little help from a friend. Mm-hmm!" Chuck says as he nodded.

Back with Sonic, it was night and he still running even with his eyes closed and arms down.

Back inside the bridge of the Eggfort II, Dr. Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe continue to watch Sonic from the monitor. "Sonic, is running himself ragged. He must feel as worn out as an old sneaker. This would be a perfect time to launch a sneak attack against him! Ready!?" Dr. Eggman asked, "Aye, aye!" Decoe and Bocoe said at the same time while nodding. "I'll destroy him right after my rest!" Dr. Eggman says before he snores. "Please, Doctor!" Bocoe says and the lights dimmed at the bridge. "Now is not the time for snoozing..." Decoe says.

Back at the fields, the sun rises once again on a new day.

Back at Mission Room, Chuck was looking at his watch as it beeped. "Right on time" Chuck says before looking foreward to see a car driving towards him. It reveal to be Sam's Rocket Car drive towards him. Sam hits the breaks and the Rocket Car stopped so close to the group. Steven backed away a bit. "Yikes. Cutting it close, aren't you?" Steven asked before the hatchet windshield opens and Sam hops out while holding his helmet. "I would've been here sooner, but I stopped for doughnuts!" Sam says, "I appreciate you coming to help us out, Sam" Chuck says, "You can always count on the "Wild Stranger" to put the rubber to the road when a friend needs help..." Sam says, "Well, then, let me bring you up to date to our plan" Chuck says.

Another clip shows how the next plan is gonna play out by showing the Rocket Car from a bird's eye view. "Now, we all know Sonic has quite a competitive streak, just like you do, "Galaxy High Wind"..." Chuck says off screen. "It's "Wild Stranger" now, Chuck!" Sam says off screen. "Sorry. Wild Stranger. The plan is to have Wild Stranger..." Chuck says off screen before it shows Sonic running and the Rocket Car driving as it looked like a race. "...Challenge Sonic to a test of speed" Chuck says off screen as it showed Sonic and Sam racing. "But unbeknownst to Sonic..." Chuck says off screen as it showed two doors that had the numbers 1 and 2 with Sonic and the Rocket Car stop in place. "A trap will be set at the end of the finish line. Wild Stranger will get on Sonic's right side in lane two..." Chuck says off screen as it showed the Rocket Car enters the door with the number 2. "Sonic will be forced to race in lane one beside him" Chuck says off screen before Sonic enters the door with the number 1. "And that will lead him straight into our trap..." Chuck says off screen before it showed Sonic stuck in mud. "Then Sonic will be out of the running!" Chuck says off screen.

Back to reality, Chuck continues. "Now let's get ready for the race, shall we?" Chuck says, "Before we do though, I want to have Steven on this one" Sam says, "Huh? Why me?" Steven asked, "Because I want a preview run to see how a race with you, me and Sonic will turn out before we actually have our real race one day" Sam says, "Oh. I see. Okay, sure! Then let "Sticky Battle" begin!" Steven says, "YEAH!" Ella, Sam, Cheese, Cream, Tails, Amy, Chris and Mr. Tanaka said as they raised their fists while Knuckles had his arms crossed behind them.

STICKY BATTLE

Back with Sonic, he was still running and the X-Tornado was following him from. "Does Chuck have something prepared?" Sonic asked in his head.

Back at the X Tornado, Tails and Amy wait for the right moment to give the word while Amy held on to the radio.

Back with Steven, he and Sam were getting ready too as Steven was stretching and warming up. Steven also had a radio attached to him. "Standby. He's almost there" Amy says off screen.

Inside the Rocket Car, Sam heard Amy. "Roger, I'm ready!" Sam says.

Back outside, Steven stopped stretching. "So am I" Steven says before he gets in position to run.

Back inside the Rocket Car, Sam looks on his monitor to Sonic running. "GO!" Amy and Sam said at the same time before Sam pushes the pedal.

The Rocket Car zooms away with Steven running next to it. Steven then saw Sonic coming up to them. "Here he comes, Sam!" Steven says before goes next to the Rocket Car on the left.

Back inside the Rocket Car, Sonic ran next to it from the right.

Back outside, the Rocket Car then tried to get in lead a bit.

Back inside the Rocket Car, Sam talks. "Now this is a true challenge right here! This upcoming race will be better than I thought!" Sam says and laughs.

Back outside, Sonic almost trips on a rock. "Whoa" Sonic says before he regains his balance. The Rocket Car then gets in front of Sonic.

Back inside the Rocket Car, Sam looked behind a bit. "What's the matter, slowpoke? Can't you do better than that!?" Sam asked.

Back outside, Sonic grunted as he tried two sidestep to get in front, but the Rocket Car was blocking his way from doing so, causing dust to fly all over Sonic. Steven then saw this. "Sam, this isn't part of the plan!" Steven says before Sam turns to Steven. "Sorry, Steven, but if we're gonna have a three-man race one day, then I can't have you two hedgehogs steal my thunder in this little practice run" Sam says from the radio. "Oh brother..." Steven says before the Rocket Car zooms pass Sonic and Steven. Sonic ran out the smoke and goes after the Rocket Car while Steven speeds up to both of them.

Back in the X-Tornado, Amy saw this. "What are you doing!? This isn't a real race! You're supposed to be a decoy!" Amy says to the radio. "Guess again, sweetheart. This is now a Hedgehogs-to-man exercise dual!" Sam says from the radio. "Oh!" Amy says while smiling sheepishly.

Back with Sonic, Steven and the Rocket Car, they continue with the so called race with Sam speeding pass Sonic and Steven. "Oh, yeah!" Sonic says before he tries to catch up. "Okay, time to get serious then!" Steven says before he manages to catch up to Sonic and the Rocket Car. Sonic, the Rocket Car and Steven ran and drive next to each other alined.

Back at Mission Room, Chuck watches the practice race from the monitor. "They're getting close to the finish!" Chuck says, "Remember, Wild Stranger and Steven, whatever you do, keep Sonic in the right lane!" Amy says from the radio off screen, "Got it!" Steven says from the radio off screen, "Right lane? I thought I'm in the right lane" Sam says from the radio off screen/

Back in the X-Tornado, Amy continues. "That's right, just stay in lane two!" Amy says.

Back inside the Rocket Car, Amy continues from the radio. "Remember you're number two, number two" Amy says from the radio off screen, "Not me, sister! I'M NUMBER 1!" Sam says and laughs.

Back outside, the Rocket Car entered door number 1. "No, Sam!" Steven says off screen.

Back at Mission Room, Chuck, Ella, Cheese, Knuckles, Cream, Chris and Mr. Tanaka saw this. "Oh crap!" everyone says at the same time. "Uncle..." Chris says.

Back with Sonic, he entered door number 2. On the other side, Sonic continued running while the Rocket Car was stuck in mud as it tried to drive. Sonic then looked back and ran around circles in his spot. The X-Tornado then flew above them. Steven stopped as he saw what happened before sighing. ""Sticky Battle" turned into a "Disastrous Aftermath"..." Steven says.

Back in the X-Tornado, Amy saw the aftermath. "That didn't work out too well" Amy says. Tails then noticed something. "Hey, Chuck, I'm picking up wireless noise in my scopes. Do you hear it down there too...?" Tails asked, "Yes, I've noticed it myself, Tails..." Chuck says from the radio off screen the monitor on the X-Tornado was showing a red rectangle going down while it was being monitored with numbers. "I recorded the wave patterns. Maybe you can analyze it and figure out what it is" Tails says.

Back at Mission Room, Chuck was listening to the readings from the radar with Mr. Tanaka, Chris, Cream, Knuckles and Ella watching from behind. "From what I can gather, it's some kind of strange magnetic force field..." Chuck says before there was a signal moving on the radar. "It appears emanating from that ranch up ahead" Chuck says off screen, "We'll go check it out now!" Steven says from the radio off screen.

Back at the Ranch, E-88 Lightning Bird had bandages on itself and it was bawking as it was being chased by a cow in circles. The X Tornado then flew by.

Back on the X-Tornado, Steven was on the right wing getting ready. "Ready up there, Steven and Tails!?" Amy asked, "I'm ready when you are!" Tails says, "Let's do this!" Steven says before the X-Tornado lowers towards the ground. "Okay, Tails. Keep it as steady as you can... Steven, let's do this" Amy says, "Okay!" Steven says. Amy gets out and goes on the left wing and takes her piko piko hammer out.

Back on the ground, the X-Tornado flys towards E-88 Lightning Bird with E-88 Lightning Bird turning towards it. Amy grunted as she was about to hit it, but E-88 Lightning Bird jumped up and crackles. E-88 Lightning Bird then zaps an electricity ray. "Huh?" Amy asked before the electricity ray hits her. Amy then screams in pain. "Amy!" Steven says before E-88 Lightning Bird bawks. Steven took action and aimed his grapple at E-88 Lightning Bird. The grapple hits E-88 Lightning Bird's leg and Steven kicked its leg before flying away from it. This caused E-88 Lightning Bird to shoot electricity all around it self before it's left legs falls off. E-88 Lightning Bird bawks as he looked where it's leg fell off before falling towards the ground.

Back on the ground, Sonic ran in the area. "AMY!" Sonic says before he jumps up and grunts as he hits E-88 Lightning Bird with his head.

This caused the small electrical circuit to fly out of Sonic's ear. E-88 Lightning Bird then exploded in the skies.

Back on the ground, Sonic lands and runs into a haystack

Back at the X-Tornado, Steven lands back on the wind. "SONIC!" Amy says and laughs before she jumps off the X-Tornado.

Back on the ground, Amy lands in the haystack as well. This made Sonic grunt off screen with hay flying around. Sonic and Amy then pop out with hay all over them. "Sonic, I was so worried!" Amy says before Sonic digs in his other ear. "Now, what's the matter?" Amy asked while putting her hands on her hips. "Something's in my ear again..." Sonic says, "Oh!" Amy says before she blows some hay out of Sonic's ear. "Hmm" Sonic says with his eyes closed "Ahem" Amy says before Sonic opens them. "Yeah, that feels much better, thanks" Sonic says before he lays down on the haystack with his arms behind his head while Amy laughs a bit with the breeze blowing hay around.

Back at the X Tornado, Steven and Tails smile. "Well, Tails. Looks like Sonic's all better now. "Operation Strategic Capture" was a success" Steven says, ""Operation Strategic Capture"?" Tails asked, "That's right. After everything we've been through these pass days, it sounds fitting" Steven says, "I guess so" Tails says. Steven then takes out his radio. "This is Steven. Sonic's now cured. Great job today, everyone" Steven says before the X Tornado flies away with a twinkle in the end as now everyone can enjoy the rest of the day without any more problems.

Shining Road (光る道, Hikaru michi)

Clips were playing from the next Chapter/Episode. "Hey! It's me, Steven the Hedgehog! As everyone has been working so hard to find the 7th and last Chaos Emerald, Chris has been feeling sad lately. Meanwhile, I was having a meeting with the President along with Rouge, Topaz and everyone else about what will happen if Chaos Control happened again. I was beggining to have mix feeling about both sides until I came back to see Chris. After our talk, we decided on a plan that will help all of us. Suddenly, Knuckles stopped by and told us that the way for all of us to go home was to to form a temporary truce with Dr. Eggman. I tried to object, but Chris decided it was for the best of us. So as we were about to see Dr. Eggman, we met a cute robot named E-77 Lucky! Once we arrived, Dr. Eggman agreed if we bring all the Chaos Emeralds to him. After we sneakingly took the rest of the Chaos Emeralds and brought them to Dr. Eggman, it was then revealed a trap! I was furious that I attempted to take attack Dr. Eggman, get all the Chaos Emeralds back, grab Chris and leave before something could..." Steven says off screen before he was cut off with an electrical sound effect and it caused him to scream off screen. The title of the next Chapter/Episode was revealed as "The Last Chaos Emerald" ("A Dastardly Deed"). Steven's stops screaming off screen as the current Chapter/Episode ends.
