Sonic X: Steven the Hedgehog

Steven's life began as a survivor in Sonic's World. Throughout the early years, Steven's heard stories about the adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends, who he wanted to be like despite his own flaws. But one day, Chaos Control happens and this caused Steven to meet Sonic, his friends along with new friends who will guide him to be one of the greatest heroes in the world.

26. Episode 25

Gotta Go Fast (Sonic X Theme) by NateWantsToBattle

Outside of the Garage of Thorndyke Mansion, the X-Tornado's engine started up and drove forward a bit on the runway.

Inside the X-Tornado, Tails looked to his left. "Spread out the 1st and 2nd Wings!" Tails says.

Back outside of the X-Tornado, the upper wings got into place. The palm trees then lay flat around the runaway. "Stand by for take off!" Tails says off screen before the palms trees were fully down.

Back inside the X-Tornado, Tails was about to take off. "X Tornado, let's go!" Tails says before he pulls the joysticks.

Back outside of the X-Tornado, the X-Tornado began to run on the runway with Sonic on the nose and Steven on the back.

Back inside the X-Tornado, Tails looked forward. "Lifting off!" Tails says.

Back outside of the X-Tornado, it began to fly in the air.

Back inside the X-Tornado, Tails looks up. "Hold on tight, Sonic and Steven, it's time to retract the landing gear! Spread out the 3rd and 4th Wings!" Tails says.

Back outside of the X-Tornado, the other sets of wings positioned before the X-Tornado went further in the sky.

Back at the Garage, Mr. Tanaka, Frances and Chuck watch the X-Tornado leave before Mr. Tanaka bows. "Please take care" Mr. Tanaka says, "Do you think they'll be able to find that seventh emerald, Mr. Thorndyke...?" Frances asked, "It's possible, but they're not the only ones who'll be looking for it" Chuck says.

In Chuck's room, Ella was talking to Cream and Cheese. "Don't you worry, Creamy, they're going to find that emerald before you know it" Ella says, "Oh!" Cream says, "Chao!" Cheese says.

At the skies, the X-Tornado was flying.

Back inside the X-Tornado, Tails was looking at the radar on the map. Amy then looks at the radar a bit from her seat. "Any signs of the emerald yet, Tails" Amy asked, "Nope" Tails says, "Wow, this is so great" Danny says as he had binoculars in his hand while Chris looked sad and looked at Sonic.

Sonic and Steven were also looking for the Last Chaos Emerald from outside the X Tornado. "Anything, Sonic?" Steven asked and Sonic shook his head.

Back inside the X-Tornado, Chris then looked at Steven. Danny then looked at Chris. "Hey, come on. Aren't you gonna help look!?" Danny asked before looking outside with his binoculars. "Uh, yeah, sure" Chris says before he looked sad again.

Back outside of the X-Tornado, Steven saw how Chris looked and got concerned. Then suddenly, a ring was heard. "Huh?" Steven asked before he takes out his yellow flip phone and answers it. "Hello...? Oh! Hi, Mr. President... I'm doing good. How are you...? That's good to know... What is it...? You're having a meeting tomorrow afternoon and you want me to attend it...? Well... Sure, that's fine... Okay, I'll leave after my Advance Training Session and lunch... Alright, thank you. Goodbye" Steven says before he closes his yellow flip phone and puts it away. Steven then looks back at Chris again. "Hmm..." Steven says.

The Last Chaos Emerald (A Dastardly Deed)

The next day at a forest called Phrista Hill, birds were chirping off screen while the Eggfort II was parked on the ground.

On a TV, it showed Dr. Eggman laughing while wearing the ring that had the Purple Chaos Emerald in the bridge of the Eggfort II. Another clip shows Sonic running on the street of Station Square. Another clip also shows Steven zip lining through a mountain area.

Inside the bridge of the Eggfort II, Dr. Eggman laughs. Decoe and looks at Bocoe while Bocoe had his eyes closed. "It looks like Dr. Eggman is in a very good mood since last night..." Decoe says, "Yes, he seems especially confident, doesn't he?" Bocoe asked while Dr. Eggman continues to laugh. "Something tells me today could be a very lucky day. In fact, those Chaos Emeralds are as good as mine if I play my cards right!" Dr. Eggman says, "Your cards!" Bocoe says while holding a stack of cards. "No need. I've already chosen my weapon" Dr. Eggman says off screen before he pushes the cards back. "Huh?" Decoe and Bocoe asked at the same time.

Outside of the Eggfort II, a door hatch begins to open. "You mean a new weapon, doctor?" Decoe asked off screen. "But what is it?" Bocoe asked off screen. "The suspense is..." Decoe says off screen.

Back inside the Eggfort II, there was a bell robot in front of the opening door. "...Killing me" Decoe says off screen before the light the bell robot named E-77 Lucky.

Back outside of the Eggfort II, the door was fully opened as it touched the ground.

Back inside the bridge of the Eggfort II, Dr. Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe wait while muttering a bit.

Back outside the Eggfort II, E-77 Lucky walks out while beeping. E-77 Lucky then suddenly triped and fell on the ground.

Back inside the Eggfort II, Decoe and Bocoe gasped. "You have to be kidding, doctor!?" Decoe asked, "THAT is the strangest looking ROBOT I've ever seen" Bocoe says before Dr. Eggman points his finger up. "Sure, he may look like a loser, but Lucky here is exactly the charm we need to capture that final Chaos Emerald" Dr. Eggman says, making Decoe and Bocoe gasp again. Dr. Eggman then turns to the left. "That's right... You see, our plucky little pal here possesses that one elusive quality that will make that emerald practically drop into our waiting hands... So guess..." Dr. Eggman says, "What is it?" Decoe and Bocoe asked at the same time, "It's Fortune!" Dr. Eggman says before Decoe and Bocoe looked confused. "For..tune?" Decoe and Bocoe asked at the same time while Dr. Eggman looks at the monitor that shows E-77 Lucky walking through Phrista Hill in the forest. "Just wait, with Lucky on our side we'll have that emerald in no time. Good luck, Lucky. And bring back the prize!" Dr. Eggman says off screen.

At another part of Phrista Hill, Knuckles was walking around while holding the glowing Red Chaos Emerald. "Glow, Chaos Emerald! Let's find the last Chaos Emerald quickly" Knuckles says in his head before looking forward. "We've gotta hurry back to our own world... or else the Master Emerald may get concerned... I mean this planet isn't so bad, I suppose, but I'd do anything to get back home... What did that voice say...?" Knuckles asked while remembering that he and Steven were teleported to the Master Emerald shrine back when they were leaving from their adventure from Oriental City.

In Knuckles' memory, it showed the Master Emerald glowing on the shrine. "The servers are the seven Chaos..." the same female voice says off screen.

Back to reality, Knuckles stopped walking. "We can only get back home if we find all seven Chaos Emeralds. Well…" Knuckles says.

A clip shows Sonic, Steven and Tails in the back ground with the Cyan, Yellow, Blue and Green Chaos Emeralds in front of them. "Sonic, Steven and those guys have four" Knuckles says off screen.

Another clip shows Dr. Eggman wearing the ring that had the Purple Chaos Emerald. "Eggman's got one" Knuckles says off screen.

Back to reality, Knuckles continues before looking back at the Red Chaos Emerald. "And then there's this one me and Steven got from Hawk. That makes six in all. But even if we find the last one, we'd still have to convince Eggman to give up his" Knuckles says.

Another clip shows Dr. Eggman and Sonic glaring at each other with sparks flying between them. "And since Sonic and Eggman don't exactly see eye to eye..." Knuckles says off screen.

Back to reality, Knuckles continues again. "We'll never get back home unless I can get them to work together" Knuckles says. E-77 Lucky then beeped off screen. "Huh?" Knuckles asked before looking forward and around as E-77 Lucky continued beeping off screen. "What's that?" Knuckles asked before he walks forward. Knuckles moves some grass over and sees E-77 Lucky tripped and couldn't get up while still beeping. Knuckles then goes up to E-77 Lucky. "Yeah, you must be Eggman's robot" Knuckles says before helping E-77 Lucky backup. E-77 Lucky beeped and nodded. Knuckles then looks to the right. "Yeah, what are you doing around here?" Knuckles asked and E-77 Lucky points to a direction. "Beep" E-77 Lucky says. Knuckles walked to look and gasped as he saw the Eggfort II. "That's the Eggfort II!" Knuckles says off screen. Knuckles then looked back at the Red Chaos Emerald. "Maybe the emerald led me here somehow" Knuckles says.

At Chris' Elementary School, it was quiet.

In Chris' classroom, the children were learning math as Mr. Stewart was writing on the board while Chris was in deep thought. The school bell then rung, causing Mr. Stewart to stop and turn to the children. "Lunch time, children" Mr. Stewart says and the children shouted and cheered. "All right. I'm starving." a boy says before the children began to leave the classroom while Chris still looked sad. Frances then looked at Chris. "Chris, you want to eat lunch with us?" Frances asked before she gasped as she noticed how sad Chris looked. Danny then went up to them. "Yo, wake up!" Danny says, "Uh, ah, I'm not too hungry right now, guys" Chris says to them, making Danny and Frances look at each other. Frances then waves and winks. "Okay, we'll catch you later then" Frances says before they walk away and Chris waves. "Yeah, okay" Chris says before groaning. "Hmm" Mr. Stewart says as he saw Chris. Mr. Stewart then went up to Chris. "You know, I think you and I should visit the Counseling Office" Mr. Stewart says before Chris puts his hands out. "Uh, no thanks!" Chris says, "Come on, Chris, let's go" Mr. Stewart says, "Uh, um..." Chris says before he stands up and walks.

In the hallways, there was a Counseling Office.

In the Counseling Office, Chris was laying on a chair. "Are you ready, Chris?" Mr. Stewart asked off screen. "Yeah" Chris says while nodding. "Now, tell me, Chris, what's bothering you?" Mr. Stewart asked, "I don't know what's wrong with me. Lately, I'm feeling really confused" Chris says, "Like you're torn?" Mr. Stewart asked off screen. "Yeah" Chris says, "I think I understand why. Part of you wants to help Sonic, Steven and their friends return home..." Mr. Stewart says before looking at Chris. "...But another part doesn't wanna lose your new friends" Mr. Stewart says, "Huh?" Chris asked, "It's quite obvious that this conflict is creating a war deep within you, Chris" Mr. Stewart says before sitting up from his chair and looking at Mr. Stewart. "You're right! That's just how I feel, Mr. Stewart. What should I do?" Chris asked, "Give me your hand" Mr. Stewart says and Chris lets his hand out. Mr. Stewart then gives Chris a candy in a pink rapper. "Eat it" Mr. Stewart says before Chris unwraps the wrapper. "Yes..." Chris says before he ate the candy. "Is it good?" Mr. Stewart asked before Chris nods. "Yes" Chris says, "Listen, Chris, it's natural... But you must face the fact that one day your friends are going to return home" Mr. Stewart says and Chris groans while looking downwards. "It's difficult. But you have to think of what's best for them" Mr. Stewart says off screen. "I know" Chris says before he lets a tear out a bit. Mr. Stewart then pats Chris' shoulder. "Everything is going to be okay. I promise you" Mr. Stewart says while Chris continued chewing on the candy.

Back outside of the Counseling Office, Mr. Stewart steps out and his watch beeps. Mr. Stewart then answers it. "Yes?" Mr. Stewart asked, "Just checking in, Chalkboard Charlie! Any problems?" a man asked from the watch off screen, "No, sir..." Mr. Stewart says before looking back at the door and back at the watch. "Nothing I can't handle" Mr. Stewart says before walking.

At the White House, the President speaks off screen. "So what you're saying, Rouge, is that the Chaos Control explosion that sent you, Steven, Sonic, his friends and Eggman here was caused when the seven Chaos Emeralds came together...?" The President asked off screen.

Inside the President's Office, The President was talking with Steven, Rouge, Topaz, the G.U.N Commander, the Director Of Central Intelligence, the Chairman and another Agent. "Right!" Rouge says, "So that's how all this happened then, huh? It all makes sense now!" Steven says, "Yes, I see... So if we could create our own Chaos Control, then we might just solve our Eggman problem" The President says, "Our own Chaos Control? Mr. President, I don't believe that's a good idea to go that route" Steven asked, "Steven's right, Mr. President. I'm afraid it's not that simple!" Topaz says, "Really? Why not?" the President asked, "Mr. President... I think that we first need to consider the effects such an action could have on the safety of the planet" Topaz says, "Like what...?" the Agent asked before the President raises his hand out. "Quiet! Go on, Topaz" The President says before placing his hands down. "Those emerald might create a blast that could leave to total global destruction" Topaz says before facing Rouge. "Ask Rouge, she know" Topaz says, "She's right" Rouge says, "Well... I suppose you're right" the President says before facing Steven. "But what are your thoughts on this, Steven?" the President asked. Steven then sighs. "Well Mr. President, even if Dr. Eggman was sent away from here, there's no telling where he could be sent off to. He'd probably take over somewhere else where more lives would be in danger and there will be no one to save them" Steven says, "He makes a fair point, Mr. President" Topaz says, "Alright, then. Go on" Mr. President says, "Also, Topaz is right about taking pre caution with using the Chaos Emeralds. Believe me, I've seen what they're capable of and they're not jewels you want to mess around with" Steven says, "Exactly! Moving forward without careful consideration could create a worldwide disaster. I think it's wise to do everything we can to keep that from happening, sir" Topaz says, "Not only could the energy of the Chaos Emeralds cause different methods of abilities, but it could lead to something that could take drastic action that cannot be stopped" Steven says, "I see... Perhaps until we're sure of what we're getting into... We need to keep those emeralds apart" The President says, "I believe so, sir" Topaz says, "It looks like we won't be going home anytime soon then..." Steven says in his head. "Hmm" The President says while he turns his chair around a bit and closed his eyes. "The question is, how do we manage to do that?" The President asked off screen. The President then opens his eyes and turns his chair forward. "Steven" the President says, "Yes, Mr. President?" Steven asked, "I have a job for you to do" the President says off screen.

Back in Chuck's room of the garage, Chris opened the floor door. "Hi, Ella" Chris says before Ella who was vacuuming the room turned to Chris. "Ah, Hi, Chris, did you have a good day?" Ella asked before Chris went to Ella. "Yeah, where is everyone?" Chris asked before Ella picks up the vacuum. "They're out looking for the Chaos Emerald again like usual. Grandpa's gone somewhere looking for new hardware for his crazy machines and I'm not sure where Steven went because he wasn't with everyone else. Thank goodness..." Ella says before she started walking away with Chris looking at her. "...I can finally clean up this mess now" Ella says off screen before humming and leaving the attic. Chris moans before looking around the room. "The place seems empty. This is how it was before they all got here and how's it's gonna be when they go" Chris says off screen. In Chris' eyes, it showed Cream and Cheese jumping and laughing with Amy clapping and laughing too, Tails sitting on Chuck's chair, reading a book and laughing before looking at the readers, Sonic was sitting on Chuck's chair and gave a thumbs up to the readers, and Steven was exercising while chuckling a bit. The memories then disappeared in Chris' eyes. "Steven..." Chris says and sighs while having his eyes closed. Suddenly, footsteps were then heard. "Huh?" Chris looked to see Steven entering the room. "Hey, Chris. How was school today?" Steven asked before walking up to Chris. "Oh. Hi, Steven. School was okay" Chris says, "That's good to know" Steven says, "Where did run off to this morning?" Chris asked, "Oh. I had a meeting with the President back at the White House" Steven says, "The President? Did something happen?" Chris asked, "No. Not yet at least" Steven says before looking around the room. "So I'm guessing everyone is still looking for the Last Chaos Emerald. Is that correct?" Steven asked, "Uh huh. Ella told me the same thing" Chris says, "Alright. Then I guess we'll find something else to do then" Steven says, "You're not gonna do your Advance Training today?" Chris asked, "Actually I did it this morning before I left to the White House. I ended it off with Mindful Cooldown" Steven says, "Really?" Chris asked, "Yeah. It helps reduce stress and improve flexibility and focus. I think I'm at the point where I don't feel scared or nervous of anything on this planet anymore" Steven says, "That's great, Steven!" Chris says, "Yeah! Pretty soon I'll be able to see what I'm capable of when we return back to our home world" Steven says before Chris looked sad again. "Huh? What's wrong, Chris?" Steven asked, "Well. I. Uh. Uh. Uh..." Chris says before Steven puts a hand on Chris' shoulder. "Relax, Chris. Take it easy" Steven says, "I know. I'm sorry, Steven" Chris says, "It's okay, Chris. Just relax and and when you're ready, tell me how you're feeling at the moment right now" Steven says. Chris relaxed for a few seconds before taking a deep breath. "Okay, I'm ready" Chris says, "Go ahead" Steven says, "I had this kind of talk with Mr. Stewart back at school, but it's not easy to take in still. You see, Steven, part of me wants you, Sonic and everyone else to go back to your world... but the other part doesn't want you all to leave. I feel like I'm on a time limit to make a decision I can't escape" Chris says before he looks at the floor. Steven heard this and also felt sad. Steven then puts a sad smile. "I see. You're not mentally ready to say goodbye yet, right?" Steven asked before Chris looks on the floor. "No..." Chris says, "I figured that. I understand how you feel, Chris. I really do" Steven says, "You do, Steven?" Chris asked, "Yeah. I don't want to leave Earth either. I could name so many reasons why I don't want to leave Earth and why you don't want me, Sonic or the others to leave" Steven says before he walked up the wall where the Medal of Honor was hung up. "But at the same time, anyone would have to face whatever's coming to them. Sometimes these types of situations could lead to a variety of consequences that not everyone can stop easily. It won't just put me and the others in danger, but for every living being on this planet too. It's not an easy yes or no question or answer we have to make no matter what the cost is. We have no choice but to live with it in our lives" Steven says before he placed his hand on the Medal of Honor. "It's also a part of growing up too. We have to make wise decisions whether if it's right or wrong to not only one person, but to those that you care about. We would have to face these situations eventually in our lives no matter the price we have pay and accept. It's always gonna haunt us until we eventually go peaceful" Steven says off screen before Chris had a tear drop fall down on his eye. "But..." Steven says off screen, making Chris open his eyes and look at Steven. Steven then turns around to Chris with a smile on his face. "There's always a light at the end of a tunnel" Steven says, "There is?" Chris asked, "Yes. After my meeting with the President, he gave me a job to do. He told me to make sure to keep the Chaos Emeralds in a safe place from preventing anything from happening to them. So that would mean we won't have to leave right away" Steven says, making Chris look surprised. "Re-Really, Steven?" Chris asked, "Uh huh. We still have a little bit of time before anything else, Chris. So you'll still get to spend more time with us until then" Steven says, "Wow, Steven... Thank you..." Chris says, "No problem, Chris. That's What Friends Are For, but listen to this because I want to tell you this now before that day happens. We may not see each other in person again, but that doesn't mean we have to forget all the great times we had here, right?" Steven asked, "Yeah" Chris says, "Good. You and everyone else got to learn a lot about us ever since we came here too. Is that right?" Steven asked, "Right" Chris says, "Okay, so if you keep those memories about me, Sonic and everything you've seen and learned about us, then we'll always be with you in spirit, Chris. I promise you we won't leave your side because it won't just be in your head, but also here..." Steven says before he pointed at Chris's chest. "In your heart" Steven says. Chris felt his heart and thought about it. After a few seconds, Chris smiled a bit as he felt a little better. "You're right, Steven. I have to stay strong no matter what happens. Even if that day comes sooner or later. Thanks a lot, Steven. I really owe you big time" Chris says and Steven chuckled. "Don't worry, Chris. I'm just glad I could help any friend of mine" Steven says, "Thanks. So when do you think Sonic and the others will come back?" Chris asked, "Probably sometime later on tonight is most likely" Steven says, "Do you wanna go search on foot?" Chris asked, "We don't need to. Sonic said for us to stay after I came back while he and everyone else went to look on their own. I guess he doesn't want me to waste my time searching when I could be getting stronger, you know?" Steven asked, "Yeah. Sounds like Sonic wants you to keep going up" Chris says, "Yeah and I couldn't agree more. I've been learning lots of new things that I didn't know I was capable of. Now it's like I'm a whole different person now compared to what I used to be back then. It's like I was given a second chance to start over in my life. I did not think faith would grant me what I wanted" Steven says, "What did you want, Steven?" Chris asked, "Back in the world me and everyone else came from, I asked faith to show me what my true purpose was and I think getting transported to Earth was part of it" Steven says, "Really? That's crazy" Chris says, "I know. I got to meet Sonic, all his friends, start over on a new planet, meet new friends and learn a so much to what this planet has to offer that I didn't know I can learn easily. Chris, none of this would have happened if it wasn't for me to keep believing in myself" Steven says, "Well I'm glad you still did even if it wasn't the best for you to live back then" Chris says, "Right. I feel that I made the right choice to do this because I would have never met you if I didn't believe, Chris" Steven says, "Really?" Chris asked, "Yes, Chris. If you haven't saved me and Sonic from the pool, I wouldn't be here and you wouldn't have been one of my best friends" Steven says, "I'm your best friend, Steven?" Chris asked, "Of course. You and Sonic are my best friends. You two are the main reasons why I'm a whole new person now. Because of that, these last days of me living in this planet have been the best days of my life. I couldn't ask for abetter life and better friends than you and everyone else, Chris. Thank you" Steven says before he offered a handshake. "Thank you for what?" Chris asked, "For being there for me and making my life the best" Steven says. After a few seconds, Chris and Steven shook hands. "You're welcome, Steven. Thank you and Sonic for being my best friends too" Chris says, "No problem. Now I just wish I knew what my true origins were and how I came to be before all this happened" Steven says, "I'm sure it'll come to you over time, Steven" Chris says, "Hopefully. Anyway, do you feel okay now, Chris?" Steven asked, "A little. I just wish we had a little more time to spend together, because there's so much stuff we've never done together. Now that you and everyone else are leaving one day, I guess we'll have to cut it short" Chris says. Steven does a little thinking before getting an idea. "I got it!" Steven says, "Huh?" Chris asked, "But first, lets both write down our bucket lists" Steven says before he grabbed pieces of papers and pens. "Bucket lists?" Chris asked. A few minutes later, Chris and Steven were writing on the papers. "Uh huh. Mmm Hmm. Ah ho ho ho, Steven. Uh huh. Uh huh. Done" Steven says before he puts his pen down. "I'm finished too. Now what're these for, Steven?" Chris asked, "My plan is even if Sonic and the others found the Chaos Emerald or not, I can try to convince him and the others for us to stay on Earth for a little longer to do all this stuff with us. That way we'll stay a little longer on Earth before we have to go and you'll have more time to be ready to say goodbye. How does that sound?" Steven asked, "That sounds great, Steven! Thanks!" Chris says, "No problem. Now we'll tell them after they get back from the search, but for now, how about you and me ask Ella to make us some pizza. How does that sound?" Steven asked while folding his and Chris' Bucket lists papers up. "Sure" Chris says before they get up and walk out the room.

Chris and Steven continue making their way down the stairs. "Hello!" Knuckles says off screen. "Oh!" Steven and Chris said at the same time as they see Knuckles with his arms crossed and E-77 Lucky while E-77 Lucky beeped. "Knuckles..." Steven says, "Hey, Knuckles, what's going on?" Chris asked while he and Steven walked up to him. "...Plenty" Knuckles says before Chris and Steven noticed E-77 Lucky. "Where'd you get that robot?" Chris asked before Knuckles turns to E-77 Lucky a bit. "Well, it's not exactly mine. I think he belongs to Eggman. I found him just roaming around the forest... Seems pretty harmless, though" Knuckles says off screen and E-77 Lucky beeps. "Aww this one is cute" Steven says before he went up to E-77 Lucky and patted it on the head. E-77 Lucky then beeped with happy eyes. "Is Sonic around? I've gotta talk to him about something..." Knuckles says, "Sorry, he's out looking for the last emerald" Chris says, "He and everyone else will be back later" Steven says, "Then give him this message. "We have only one way to get back home. We've got to call a truce with Dr. Eggman"" Knuckles says, causing Steven and Chris to jump a bit. "A truce!? That'll never happen!" Chris says, "Knuckles, are you sure that's even wise right now!?" Steven asked, "It has to be done" Knuckles says, "But how? They're sworn enemies" Chris says, "Chris' right, Knuckles. There has to be another way we could get that Purple Chaos Emerald back because I don't think this is a good idea. Especially after what we've all been through with him" Steven says, "The only way any of us will get back home is to team up with Eggman. I know it might sound crazy, and it may even be impossible, but I have to convince Sonic that this is the only chance we've got! I've got a mission that I must carry on! We've all been away from home for way too long now" Knuckles says before Chris looked nervous. Steven saw how nervous Chris looked. "But, Knuckles..." Steven says before he raises his fist a bit. "And I'm not about to let anything stand in our way of getting back there!" Knuckles says, "But Knuckles, can't we talk about this when everyone get back as a whole group? Because before we make any final decisions, I wanted to tell you and everyone else something that has to do with these papers I have in my hand" Steven says off screen. "I'm sorry, Steven, but we've got our world that we're meant to live in. We can't be fooling around here anymore! We've gotta go home and that's that!" Knuckles says off screen and Steven sighs in frustration. Chris then looks downwards. "Knuckles is right. I'm being selfish... I've got to do whatever I can to help them. I'm sorry, Steven, I know you want to help all of us, but I have to get you home" Chris says in his head. "All right, Knuckles, we'll give him your message" Chris says, making Knuckles smile and Steven look shocked. "Huh? But Chris..." Steven says, "Meanwhile, I'll pay a visit to our friend Eggman!" Knuckles says, "How will you know where to find him?" Chris asked, "Heh, I think I spotted his ship over at Forest Hill. Bye" Knuckles says before he waves and starts walking out. Steven then turns to Chris. "Chris, why did you do that?" Steven asked, "I'm sorry, Steven, but I had to. It's like you said, sometimes we have to make tough decisions and I can't be selfish with you all anymore. I'm gonna make sure you all get home" Chris says, "But what about the bucket list?" Steven asked, "It's okay, Steven. Like you said, I'll always remember you guys from not just my head, but from my heart. I promise" Chris says. Steven thinks before smiling a bit. "I'm glad you remembered what I said, Chris. Alright then, but I still don't like the idea of teaming up with Dr. Eggman. But since I don't see any other way to get that Purple Chaos Emerald back at the moment, I guess we really don't have much of a choice then" Steven says, "So you'll help me?" Chris asked, "Sure" Steven says, "Great. Hey, how about we go with Knuckles to see Dr. Eggman" Chris asked, "Good idea. That way we'll see if Dr. Eggman is honest about all this" Steven says, "Hmm. Knuckles..." Chris says off screen, getting Knuckles' attention as he stopped. "Mind if we come along?" Chris asked and Knuckles smiled. "Why not!?" Knuckles asked before he, Chris, E-77 Lucky and Steven start to head out the garage. "I hope we're making the right decision here..." Steven says in his head. Steven then looked at a counter next to him before he placed the Bucket list papers on it.

At SS Central Station, people were walking around the area.

Inside SS Central Station, Chris, Steven and Knuckles held their tickets for the train. Steven also had his bag with him. "The express train will get us to Phrista Hill in no time at all" Chris says, "Let's hope that the train doesn't come late" Steven says, "Final boarding call. Phrista Hillexpress, track 29!" the man from the speaker says off screen, making Chris, Steven and Knuckles gasped. "Hurry up!" Knuckles says before they ran up the stairs where their train was parked while the whistle toots. E-77 Lucky's beeps were heard, causing Steven stopped before he turns around. Steven sees E-77 Lucky try walking up the steps, but E-77 Lucky stopped and fell on the floor while beeping in panic. "Oh oh!" Steven says before he went back for E-77 Lucky. Chris and Knuckles got in the the train and the train doors close and started driving.

On the train, Chris and Knuckles look around. "Wait. Where's Steven?" Knuckles asked before Chris gasped. Chris then looked out the window and saw Steven carry E-77 Lucky while running up to the train.

Outside of the train, Steven grunts as he makes a jump on top of the train. Steven then makes his way to the cart that Chris and Knuckles were on.

Back inside the train, the doors open and Steven and E-77 Lucky enter the cart. Chris and Knuckles then went up to them. "Steven, what happened?" Chris asked, "The little guy tripped so I had to rush back to get him" Steven says before E-77 Lucky beeps happily while hugging Steven. Steven chuckled a bit. "You're welcome, little guy" Steven says while patting E-77 Lucky's head.

Back at Phrista Hill, the birds were chirping off screen and Chris, Knuckles and Steven were walking while Steven held onto E-77 Lucky. Chris then whimpered a bit as he looked around. "Don't worry, Chris, just stay calm and I'll do all the talking. Hmm" Knuckles says before he looks at Steven still holding E-77 Lucky. "How's that robot doing, Steven?" Knuckles asked, "He's fine, Knuckles. You're right. This little guy doesn't look like a threat after all. Chris, wanna keep him?" Steven asked, "Uh I'm not sure about that one, Steven" Chris says, "Alright then. Can I keep him if it's not a problem, Knuckles?" Steven asked, "That's up to you" Knuckles says, "Cool!" Steven says before looking back at E-77 Lucky. "What do you say, little guy? Do you want to stay with me?" Steven asked and E-77 Lucky beeped happily. "Okay, I guess that's a yes then" Steven says and he chuckled while he, Chris and Knuckles continued walking.

Back inside the bridge of the Eggfort II, the alarm goes off. "Oh...!" Decoe says before he saw Chris, Knuckles, Steven and E-77 Lucky walking in Phrista Hill on the monitor. "Dr. Eggman, enemy approaching and they have Lucky hostage!" Decoe says off screen. "Prepare to launch counterattack!" Bocoe says before he was about to press a button, but Dr. Eggman grabs his wrist. "Wait!" Dr. Eggman off screen, "But, Dr. Eggman!" Bocoe says, "Look there..." Dr. Eggman says before Bocoe looks forward. "Huh?" Bocoe asked as the monitor shows Chris waving a white flag around.

Back outside of the Eggfort II, it was quiet.

In another room of the Eggfort II, Steven, Chris, Knuckles and E-77 Lucky were in a room with Dr. Eggman while Knuckles was doing the talking and Dr. Eggman was sitting on a chair. "Think of it this way... If we team up, we get the emeralds together and Chaos Control sends us straight home! But if we keep fighting like this, we'll all be stuck here for good, and that's bad" Knuckles says off screen, "Mmm" Dr. Eggman says before Chris, Knuckles, Steven and E-77 Lucky look at each other. "Yes... Yes, yes, that's right! I'd never thought of it that way" Dr. Eggman says before he grumbles. "How could I've been such a brainless greedy old fool!?" Dr. Eggman says before he grabs Knuckles' hand and shakes it. "Knuckles, I don't know how to thank you!" Dr. Eggman says before Knuckles smiles. "The pleasure is all mine, Dr. Eggman" Knuckles says, "If you're honest that you'll co-operate with us, then you have to promise that you won't turn your back on this. Do you promise?" Steven asked before he held his hand out for a hand shake. "Why yes, of course! I promise to the bottom of my heart. After all, I can't let anything bad happen to my good luck charm now can't I?" Dr. Eggman asked while he and Steven shake hands and E-77 Lucky beeps. Steven then looks at E-77 Lucky. "So that's the robot's name then. Lucky... Hmm. Maybe if we keep Lucky with us, then everything will be okay then..." Steven says in his head. Chris then sighs in relief while holding his chest. Dr. Eggman then sits back down on his chair "However, I do have one condition" Dr. Eggman says, "What's that?" Knuckles asked, "That you allow me to hold on to your Chaos Emerald" Dr. Eggman says, "You hold it...?" Chris asked before Steven crosses his arms. "Why should we let you hold on to them?" Steven asked, "Come now, don't you trust me? Nothing is more important between allies than trust. If you're asking me to trust you, the least you can do is trust me" Dr. Eggman says, "Hmm... I don't know" Steven says before Chris turns to Knuckles who had his eyes closed and arms crossed. "What do you think?" Chris asked before Knuckles opens his eyes. "You can hold it" Knuckles says and Dr. Eggman laughs. Dr. Eggman then stands up and goes up to Knuckles again. "Thanks, Knuckles, we make a great team!" Dr. Eggman says before he and Knuckles shake hands again with Chris, Steven and E-77 Lucky watching. "Well, he did it. I guess it was the right thing, but I don't think Sonic's gonna like it" Chris says in his head. "I don't know why, but something seems a bit off about this. I better keep my eye on Dr. Eggman if he tries anything. Even if he does keep his promise to me..." Steven says in his head.

Back in the bridge of the Eggfort II, Dr. Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe watch Chris, Steven, Knuckles and E-77 Lucky leave and walk through Phrista Hill from the monitors. "Well, well, well. Who would have thought our little friend Knuckles was such an honest fellow...? As a matter of fact, I'd say he's honest to a fault!" Dr. Eggman says before Bocoe looks at Dr. Eggman. "What do you mean...?" Bocoe asked, "I mean, our naive little knucklehead is playing right into my hands! With Lucky by their side, things will go exactly as I planned from the very beginning!" Dr. Eggman says before letting out a laugh.

Back at Phrista Hill, Knuckles, Chris and Steven continue walking before E-77 Lucky started beeping while shaking it's arms in Steven's arms. "Huh? What's wrong, Lucky?" Steven asked before he placed E-77 Lucky down. Chris and Knuckles stop and turn towards E-77 Lucky and Steven. E-77 Lucky then beeped at Steven. "What's he saying, Steven?" Chris asked, "I don't know, but let's see if I can understand him" Steven says before he kneels down to E-77 Lucky's height. "What is it you want to tell me, Lucky?" Steven asked and E-77 Lucky beeped so many times. "Uh huh... Okay... I see... Wow... Really? Are you sure...? Well I don't know... Oh! I know" Steven says before he takes out a marker out from his bag. "Hold still" Steven says before he turned E-77 Lucky around. Steven wrote his name and the Thorndyke Mansion's address on E-77 Lucky's back. "There we go" Steven says before he turns E-77 Lucky back forward. "This way if someone sees you, they'll know who you belong to" Steven says and E-77 Lucky beeped again. "Now be careful out there. I don't want you to get hurt out there. If you find it, come and find me or have someone bring you back. Good luck, little guy" Steven says before he patted E-77 Lucky's head and E-77 Lucky beeped before walking away from Steven. "What did he say?" Knuckles asked, "He said he was gonna go look for The Last Chaos Emerald" Steven says, "The last Chaos Emerald?" Chris asked, "Yeah. I told him to come see me or have someone drop him off back home if he finds it. That way we'll be able to have all six of them" Steven says, "Hopefully that Last Chaos Emerald doesn't fall into the wrong hands. Now come on. Let's get out of here" Knuckles says before he and Chris continue walking. Steven looks back a bit before catching up with Knuckles and Chris.

Later at night at a dumpster, E-77 Lucky was sitting on a dumpster. E-77 Lucky beeps before a cat meow was heard. This made E-77 Lucky beep alarmingly before looking up. A black cat was sitting laying on a tree branch before it meows while it's eye shines a bit. E-77 Lucky beeped while holding his hands up in defense and sweat drops. The cat then jumps down and lands on a bin. This caused E-77 Lucky to jump back in fright before falling inside the dumpster. E-77 Lucky then beeped nervously.

At another part of the street, a garbage truck was driving on the road.

Inside the garbage truck, Jerome was seen as a garbage man while looking at a piece of paper with another garbage man driving the truck. "Vivian! Why did you leave me?" Jerome asked off screen before the other garbage man laughs. "I'll introduce you to another nice girl to you!" the other garbage man says.

Back at a dumpster, the garbage truck parks in front of it. Jerome then steps out the truck and gives the signs;. "Okay, okay, a little more!" Jerome says before the garbage truck grabbed the dumpster. E-77 Lucky then beeped when it heard noises. Jerome then heard E-77 Lucky while lifting his hat a bit.. "Vivian?" Jerome asked before he looked at the left to see the garbage truck lifts the dumpster and dumps all the garbage bags along with E-77 Lucky inside. The garbage truck then drives off. "VIVIAN!" Jerome says off screen.

Back at the Garage, the TV was heard from outside. "Okay kids, it's that time again. EVERYBODY DANCE!" Next says off screen.

Inside Chuck's room, Next Show was playing on Chuck's TV with Next dancing. "Dance, dance, dance" Next says while Cream and Cheese dance along with it. Tails laughs while he, Amy and Chuck watch them and Sonic was napping on a hammock above the bed. Chris and Steven eventually enter the room. "Hey, we're home!" Chris says, "Huh?" Tails and Chuck asked while looking at Chris and Steven. "Chris, it's late. Where have you and Steven been all this time?" Chuck asked before Chris sweat drops a bit. "Sorry, I was over at Danny's house studying and Steven picked me up" Chris says before he looks at Tails. "Oh, by the way, did you guys find any Chaos Emeralds today?" Chris asked and Tails shrugged his shoulders. "We didn't find anything, Chris" Tails says before Chris closes his eyes in relief. "Ah, that's good..." Chris says before opening his eyes nervously. "Oh, I mean that's bad!" Chris says, "Uhh" Tails says while rubbing his head a bit and Steven chuckles a bit. "Sorry. It's just been a long day of studying. Right, Chris?" Steven asked while looking at Chris. "Uh... Yeah! Absolutely!" Chris says and laughs nervously before Cream and Cheese cry. This made Steven and Chris go up to them while Steven comforts them. "Guys, what's wrong?" Chris asked before Cream and Cheese look at Chris. "The Next Show won't be on for a week..." Cream says, "Chao, chao, chao" Cheese says, "Huh... Is that all...?" Chris asked before letting out a sigh. "Don't worry, I'm sure there's something else you two will like on TV" Steven says off screen, "Huh?" Chris asked before he saw the Blue, Yellow and the Cyan Chaos Emeralds inside the vault while Tails and Chuck look at each other. "We'll find that last emerald, won't we!?" Tails asked off screen, "You bet we will, Tails!" Chuck says off screen while Chris looked nervous. Steven saw what Chris was looking at and got a little nervous too all of a sudden. Sonic then wakes up from his nap. "Well, I think I'll go for a run" Sonic says before jumping down the hammock. Chris then looks at Sonic leave the room before going after him. "Sonic, wait up...!" Chris says before leaving. Everyone except Steven looked confused. "Huh?" Chuck, Amy, Tails, Cheese and Cream asked at the same time. "That was strange. Wonder what's wrong" Chuck says "I'll go see" Steven says before he walks out the room. "He's gonna tell Sonic about the plan. I hope Sonic understands" Steven says in his head.

Back outside of the Garage, Chris and Sonic were talking. Sonic also had his hands on his hips. "So, what's up?" Sonic asked while Chris sweat drops a bit. "Well... Sonic, I guess you must get pretty homesick being on a different planet and all" Chris says before Sonic closes his eyes. "Eh. I don't think about it too much..." Sonic says before opening his eyes. "Why?" Sonic asked, "Huh? Oh... uh..." Chris says before Sonic looked concerned. "My teacher, Mr. Stewart, says hi" Chris says before Sonic winks and gives a thumbs up. "That's nice" Sonic says before grunting and running off with Chris watching. "I bet Sonic's just as homesick as the rest of 'em. He's afraid to admit it. Poor guy..." Chris says before Steven walks up to Chris. "Did you tell him, Chris?" Steven asked before Chris looks at Steven. "I tried to, but I panicked. I'm sorry, Steven" Chris says and Steven sighs. "Guess we'll have to give everyone the element of surprise then. Alright, here's the plan..." Steven says.

Back at SS Central Station, the lights were on.

Back inside SS Central Station, Knuckles was sitting down with his arms crossed while a couple walked by laughing before Chris and Steven showed up with Chris having a bag on his back. Knuckles then turns to them. "Did you get them?" Knuckles asked and Chris nodded. "Uhhuh, We didn't tell anybody we took them, though" Chris says, "I hope they don't get mad at us" Steven says, "It's not like we're doing anything wrong. Once they find out what we did, they'll probably be grateful. Come on!" Knuckles says before he jumps down. Chris then nodded. "All right!" Chris says before he followed Knuckles inside the train. Steven was about to enter before looking back a bit. "I'm sorry, everyone..." Steven says before entering the train.

At South West DUMP, it was quiet.

At the dump area of South West DUMP, rattling and beeping was heard from a pile of cans and E-77 Lucky pops out and looks around.

At another part of Phrista Hill, Topaz and a few G.U.N soldiers were walking around. "The signals coming from somewhere around here. Just be on your guard boys" Topaz says before the G.U.N soldiers nodded and split up. Rouge then came out of a tree upside down before Topaz looks at her. "Why am I hanging around!?" Rouge asked, "Just keep watch! We're going to find that emerald" Topaz says, "Yeah, okay! Oh, by the way, I know where it is..." Rouge says, making Topaz gasped. Rouge lead Topaz to look down to see the Eggfort II. "Wow..." Topaz says before pulling out her radio. "Chief, I think we found it" Topaz says to the radio.

Back at the White House, it was night time.

Back inside the President's Office, there was a knock on the door before the Director of Central Intelligence enters. "Mr. President, good news, sir, we found Eggman's base!" the Director of Central Intelligence says, "Hmm, let's make the call!" The President says while turning to the Agent. "Right!" the Agent says before he goes up to a table and picks up a phone. "Report to Area 99, dispatch the Hercules Beetle immediately" the Agent says.

Back with Rouge and Topaz, they were about to take action. "You ready!?" Topaz asked, "Sure, oh, hold on" Rouge says as she notices Chris, Knuckles and Steven walking towards the Eggfort II. "Why are Steven and those two here?" Topaz asked before she and Rouge both look at each other. "Whatever they're doing, it better be something worth while" Rouge says.

On the streets, Sonic zoomed with a blue blur.

Back at the garage, Sonic zoomed inside.

Back inside Chuck's room, Sonic enters the room. "Hey, I… Huh?" Sonic asked as he saw Cream and Cheese watching Amy look inside the vault while Chuck was reading a letter. Sonic then walks up to Cream. "Oh, what's up?" Sonic asked before Cream looks at him. "Chris took the Chaos Emeralds and Steven went with him somewhere..." Cream says and Sonic looked concerned. "Hmm?" Sonic asked, "Chao, chao, chao" Cheese says, "But why...?" Sonic asked before he, Cream and Cheese look at Chuck. "Chris left us a letter explaining why. "I'm taking the emeralds so that you can all get back home very soon. Steven is with me and we'll be okay" Chuck says before he looks forward. "Huh, I can't understand why in the world they would do something so foolhardy!" Chuck says before Amy looks at Chuck. "We better go look for them, Chuck!" Amy says. Sonic then looks at a picture of Chris. "Hmm" Sonic says.

In Sonic's memory, it shows what Chris said to Sonic before Sonic went on his run. "Well... Sonic... I guess you must get pretty homesick, being on a different planet and all" Chris says.

Back to reality, Sonic then looks at a picture of Steven.

Back in Sonic's memory, it shows it was morning and he was sleeping on the balcony of the Thorndyke Mansion. Then a sound of a wire was heard, causing Sonic to open his eyes. Sonic looks to see Steven leaving the Thorndyke Mansion. "Hmm..." Sonic says.

Back to reality, Sonic continues looking at the picture. "Steven..." Sonic says before Tails entered the room. "Chris took the Chaos Emerald from inside the X Tornado, too! Without it, the 2nd engine doesn't work! We can only fly it in normal mode now! Oh!" Tails says as Sonic ran out the room. Chuck, Amy, Cream and Cheese watched where Sonic ran off to. "Where'd he go?" Amy asked.

Back at the staircase of the garage, Sonic zoomed out. After a few seconds, Sonic comes back and looks at a counter. "Huh? What's that?" Sonic asked as he saw the two Bucket Lists papers folded. Sonic picks them up and unfolds them. "Bucket lists?" Sonic asked before he reads through them all. Sonic then folds the papers before running out of the garage.

Back at South West DUMP, E-77 Lucky was walking around while beeping nervously as it held it's balance. E-77 Lucky then suddenly tripped over an empty soda can, causing E-77 Lucky to roll down a hill and bang his head on a briefcase. This caused a locked box to open and let a light out while E-77 Lucky lands on the garbage and rubs it's head. E-77 Lucky then looks to see the shining light. E-77 Lucky picked up whatever was in the locked box and it revealed to be the shining White Chaos Emerald which is also known as The Last Chaos Emerald.

Back in the same room in the Eggfort II, Steven, Knuckles and Chris walk in before Dr. Eggman elevates down while sitting on a chair. "Ah, my new friends, good morning..." Dr. Eggman says before he moves his chair to a desk they were at. "We're not friends, we're temporary allies" Steven says, "We brought them here" Knuckles says before Chris puts his bag on the desk. "Let me see" Dr. Eggman says before Chris opens the bag to reveal the Green, Cyan, Yellow, Blue and Red Chaos Emeralds. "AH! Oh my! Aren't they lovely?" Dr. Eggman says before he reaches into his pocket. "And I have my Chaos Emerald right here..." Dr. Eggman says as he takes out the box that had the Purple Chaos Emerald. "I could open the box and show it to you... But it's not safe to expose it to the others" Dr. Eggman says, "Not yet" Knuckles says and Dr. Eggman chuckles while his glasses shined a bit.

Back at SS Central Station, Sonic was showing an train conductor a picture of Chris. "Yeah, I saw him... Let's see, I think he got on the 4:00 train to Phrista Hill along with Steven and Knuckles" the officer says, "To Phrista Hill? With Steven and Knuckles?" Sonic asked.

Back in the same room of the Eggfort II, Dr. Eggman takes the bag and the box. "I'll hold on to the emeralds and put them in the safe place!" Dr. Eggman says, "Huh?" Chris asked while reaching his hand out a bit. "Okay doc" Knuckles says, "If you're really honest, then fine" Steven says, "Excuse me, Doctor!" Decoe says off screen and Dr. Eggman, Knuckles, Chris and Steven turn to see Decoe on the monitor. "There is an urgent call from Lucky" Decoe says from the monitor before it goes static. "Did something happen to Lucky?" Steven asked before the monitor switches to E-77 Lucky holding a phone and beeping. This made Dr. Eggman look shocked "WHAT!? You discovered the last Chaos Emerald in a pile of garbage!?" Dr. Eggman asked, "Lucky found the last Chaos Emerald already? He really is a lucky little guy then" Steven says, "Well done! Stay where you are... I'll come to you!" Dr. Eggman says off screen before Chris and Knuckles smile at each other while Steven looked surprised. Chris, Steven and Knuckles then look back at Dr. Eggman. "Dr. Eggman, did he really find it?" Chris asked, "Of course he did! Building a robot who brings good luck with my most brilliant stroke of genius!" Dr. Eggman says.

Back at the bridge, Decoe and Bocoe heard this from the monitor. Bocoe then looks at Decoe. "Does this mean we are out of a job?" Bocoe asked and Deoce closes his eyes while facing Bocoe. "No such luck" Decoe says.

Back in the other room, Dr. Eggman smiled. "Well, we have them all, don't we...?" Dr. Eggman asked before Chris looks at Knuckles. "That's great!" Chris says before Knuckles looks at Chris. "Yeah! Now we can finally go home" Knuckles says, "Wow... we really did it... We finally got all Seven Chaos Emeralds. I guess I was wrong about you, Dr. Eggman. You really did keep your promise. I'm sorry for the way how I looked at you" Steven says, "It's all water under the bridge, Steven. After all, it has been an honor to ally with you" Dr. Eggman says and Steven smiled a bit. Dr. Eggman then laughs before looking up. "Ha! Okay! Decoe! Bocoe!" Dr. Eggman says as his glasses shined a bit.

Back in the bridge, Decoe and Bocoe laugh. "Right!" Decoe and Bocoe said before they pressed two buttons.

Back in the other room, two trap doors appeared from underneath Knuckles and Steven. Steven gasped and jumped away while Knuckles screamed and fell into the hole. Chris bent down before the door where Knuckles fell closed. "Knuckles!" Chris says before Steven jumps in front of Chris. "Chris, get back!" Steven says before he got into a fighting stance. "What do you think you're doing, Eggman?" Chris asked before Dr. Eggman laughs and gets up from his chair. Dr. Eggman then goes up to Steven and Chris with Chris and Steven looking at him. "Wise up, idiots. You didn't really believe that I was homesick like your loser friends, did you? The only thing I care about is establishing the Eggman Empire... I can do that on my planet OR yours! It makes no difference to me!" Dr. Eggman says, "Then you lied to us, didn't you?" Chris asked, "You horrible back stabbing liar! After the promise you just kept, after everything we've been through with you, this time you've gone too far!" Steven says as the same light shadow appeared from his head and his quills raised up a bit. Dr. Eggman laughs again before looking to the right. "Ready the Egg Fort II for takeoff" Dr. Eggman says.

Back in the Bridge, Decoe and Bocoe heard Dr. Eggman and raise their fists. "Aye, aye!" Decoe and Bocoe said at the same time.

Back in the other room, Steven was so mad that his eyes suddenly flashed yellow for a little bit. "YOU"RE NOT GETTING AWAY FROM ME THIS TIME!" Steven says before he attacks Dr. Eggman on the stomach. This made Dr. Eggman yell in pain before crashing in to the wall. "Steven!" Chris says before Steven picked up Chris' bag and the jewelry box from the table. "You got the Chaos Emeralds back" Chris says before Steven went up to Chris and picked him up. "Hang on, Chris, we're getting out of here!" Steven says before they began making their way to the exit door. Dr. Eggman recovers a bit before looking to see Steven and Chris were about to escape. "Oh no you don't!" Dr. Eggman says before he takes out a remote and presses a button. Suddenly, a shock colar comes flying and hits Steven's neck. This caused Steven to shout in pain and drop Chris, his bag and the jewelry box on the floor. Steven groans as he sits up before he saw the shock collar was around his neck. "Huh!? What the!?" Steven asked before he grunted and tried to take it off. But suddenly, Dr. Eggman pressed another button and it caused the shock collar to flash blue before Steven got electrocuted everywhere around the neck. Steven screamed in pain as he tried to fight it off, but the shock was too much for him while he continued to scream. Chris got up as he heard Steven scream. Chris then looks at Steven in shock. "Steven!" Chris says before Dr. Eggman pressed the button again and it caused the shock to stop. Steven then falls on the floor with a heavy crash. Steven was then unconscious with burned marks on his body and steam flying around. "Steven!" Chris says before he ran up to Steven, but was stopped by Dr. Eggman going in front of him. Dr. Eggman then waves his finger. "Ah ah ah. One more move and more sparks will fly" Dr. Eggman says off screen, "Steven, please wake up! Steven!" Chris says off screen.

Back outside of the Eggfort II, the engines were starting, causing the trees to be blown.

Back with Rouge and Topaz, they see everything that was happening. "He's leaving!" Rouge says before Topaz takes out her radio. "HQ come in, emergency! Emergency!" Topaz says before the Eggfort II rises from the ground.

Back at the Eggfort II, a hatch door opens and Knuckles flies out while yelling.

Knuckles then crashes onto the ground and groans. Knuckles then sits back up. "Eggman! Chris! Steven!" Knuckles says while the Eggfort II goes further in the air. Sonic then stops next to Knuckles. "Where's Chris and Steven!?" Sonic asked before Knuckles looks at Sonic. "Up there, Sonic!" Knuckles says before looking back up. "Eggman has them in his ship along with all the Chaos Emeralds!" Knuckles says, "What?" Sonic asked before looking up as they look to see the Eggfort II activate a boost before flying away at super speed. "Then I'm off!" Sonic says before he zooms after the Egg Fort II. "Good luck, Sonic!" Knuckles says.

At a canyon, the Eggfort II flies over and Sonic zooms through while following it. "Chris! Steven!" Sonic says in his head.

Shining Road (光る道, Hikaru michi)

Clips were playing from the next Chapter/Episode. "Huh!? What the!? What happened!? What's going on!? The last thing I could remember was me and Chris took all the Chaos Emeralds and giving them all to Dr. Eggman... Wait, Dr. Eggman!? That's right! That backstabber betrayed all of us and took all the Chaos Emeralds to himself! When I get my hands on- Wait a minute! Why am I bolted against a wall! and why do I feel like something is around my neck!? Is Dr. Eggman holding me and Chris hostage!? I've gotta get us out of here, but I... I can't... Come on! I can't get loose...! Where is everybody!? Where's Sonic!? What a minute, Something's happening! Oh no, Sonic's losing! I've... Got to... Gah! Is anybody out there!? If you're out there, I hope you're listening! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry Chuck, Mr. Tanaka, Ella, Danny, Frances, Helen, Mr. President, Jerome, Topaz, G.U.N, Mr. Stewart, Hawk, Sam, Nelson, Lindsey, Lucky, Rouge, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, Cheese, Tails, Chris and Sonic! I'm sorry for what I've done! I can't take this anymore...! I'm done for... I'm..." Steven says off screen before he whimpers that eventually slowly became a deep growl. The title of the next Chapter/Episode was revealed as "Birth! Super Sonic and Wrathful Steven" ("Countdown to Chaos"). The whimpering slowly stops to reveal a loud monstrous roar heard off screen as the current Chapter/Episode ends.
