Currenty Ash and his friends are waiting in pokemon center.
"Iris, your Axew was amazing out there," said Cilan
"Thanks, I knew that. He learned two moves in a row," said Iris
"Don't get overconfident. I am still here to break your dream of becoming a dragon master," said Georgia as she exits out of pokemon center.
"Why she always say bad about dragons," asked Iris
"Forget about her, focus on your present. You sometimes behave like Ash" said Gary
"Yeah," said Ash
"Hey, what you mean," asked Ash facing Gary
"Nevermind, " said Gary
"Now Iris, I saw your battling skills in today's competition.With good training, you can become.a great dragon type master," said Ash
"You think so," asked Iris
"Yes," said Gary
"Thankyou so much, this means a lot to me." said Iris
Next day Ash and his friends assembled in the stadium for rest of the battles.Only eight trainers are left for next rounds and they all knew who they are and now it's upto their luck who will battle who.
"Ladies and gentlemen with eight trainers left for this competition, let's see our next round match up," said Don George displaying the matchups and are quite shocked to see the matchups.
Ash is battling his ex rival Gary, Paul is battling the newbie Luke,Cilan is battling Barry, and finally Iris is against Stephan.
"For first battle of the day please welcome Ash Ketchum and Gary Oak. " said announcer. Ash and Gary took their position opposite to each other.
"Ready Gary," asked Ash
"More than ever," said Gary
"Trainers send your first pokemon," said referee
"Someone wants to settle score with your charizard," said Gary with smirk.
"Let's do this then," said Ash as both threw pokeballs revealing their first pokemon.
As soon as Charizard landed, it released massive flamethrower in the air giving display of his raw power.Blastoise in return give big smirk.
"Charizard vs Blastoise let the battle begin," said referee
"Charizard start with wing attack !"said Ash
"Blastoise use hail !"said Gary
Charizard flew up in the air and head straight towards Blastoise. Blastoise then glowed blue and launched one orb of blue energy after which black clouds appeared. after which chunks of ice started to fall on the field. Charizard coated himself with flames making hail melt. Blastoise then used rapid spin to dodge the attack.
"Charizard use thunder punch !"said Ash
"Blastoise use focus punch !"said Gary
Both Charizard and Blastoice used thunder punch and focus punch on each others face making each other cough blood.
"Blastoise use dragon pulse !"said Gary
"Charizard use double team !"said Ash
Blastoise extends is cannons on its back and launched the pulse of dragon energy which Charizard evaded using double team.
"Blastoise use aqua tail !"said Gary
"Charizard use rock tomb around you to block aqua tail !"said Ash
Blastoise's tail covered in water and charged at Charizard. Charizard then created tomb of big boulders around him that saved him from aqua tail.
"Charizard use dragon rush !"said Ash
"Blastoise use iron defense !"said Gary
As per Ash's command Charizard used dragon rush, but thanks to iron defense, Blastoise took less damage.
"Blastoise use hydro pump !"said Gary
"Charizard dodge and use steelwing !"said Ash
Blastoise launched powerful stream of water from its cannons on his back. Charizard flew up in the air and dodged every attack of Blastoise while flying towards him.
" Blastoise quickly stop steel wing !" said Gary. Blastoise extends it's arms and grabbed Charizard's wings.
"That's what I wanted, Charizard use focus blast " said Ash as Charizard started to prepare focus blast between its hands.
"Blastoise quickly use withdraw," said Gary but it was too late as Charizard throws focus blast on Blastoise's face which results into explosion knocking it back and released charizard from Blastoise's grip
"Charizard use fire blast !"said Ash
"Blastoise use hydro pump !"said Gary
Both pokemon released their attack which results into steam that covered the entire arena.
"Charizard use dragon pulse !"said Ash
"Blastoise counter with dragonpulse too !"said Gary
Charizard and Blastoise faced each other. Charizard and Blastoise released their own dragon pulse attack. Both attacks collided in middle of the field, resulting into shock waves that are reaching to audience.
" That's some raw power ladies and gentlemen, " said announcer
"Blastoise use gyro ball !"said Gary
"Charizard stop it with iron tail and dragon tail combination !"said Ash
Blastoise withdraw himself into his shell and then started to spin towards Charizard. Charizard is ready to smash Blastoise with iron tail and dragon tail combo. When Charizard's and Blastoise's tail connected with each other it generated sparks and leads to explosion.Charizard and Blastoise landed on their respective side.
" It's amazing, Ash's Charizard and Gary's Blastoise are powerful," said Iris
"Blastoise use hydro pump !"said Gary
"Charizard evade hydro pump, use flare blitz combined with dragon rush !"said Ash
As soon as Blasoise launched hydro pump,Charizard then surrounded in flames and draconic aura and charged at Blastoise. Blastoise who constantly launching hydro pump missed Charizard. Charizard then used dragon rush at full power to push Blastoise back.
" Blastoise are you okay," asked Gary to which he nodded
"Charizard can you battle buddy" asked Ash
"Char" said Charizard giving positive nod
"Alright then, Charizard use double team into inferno," said Ash
Charizard took a deep breath, tail flame got brighter and charizard started to glow orange red.Along with that charizard created its copies surrounding Blastoise.All Charizard released the massive stream of fire.
"Blastoise counter inferno with rapid spin," said Gary as Blastoise started to spin deflecting inferno.
Charizard put all his strength behind inferno and than started to push Blastoise back.The temperature of inferno is quite high making blastoise's shell burned at high temperature.
Blastoise can no more resist the inferno and got crashed into the wall. Charizard is also running out of breath.
"Blastoise no," said Gary
"Blas" said Blastoise as it walked back towards the battlefield.
"Ash let's finish this," said Gary
"Sure, Charizard let's heat up the battle use blast burn," said Ash
"Blastoise use water pledge," said Gary
Charizard's body becomes engulfed in light blue flames. It then punches the ground, sending a wave of energy into the earth.Blastoise slammed its leg on the field after which columns of water erupted towards Charizard.
Blast burn and water plege connected on middle of field which leads to explosion and destruction of battle field.
"Charizard use giga impact,flare blitz and dragon rush combo.Blastoise use giga impact and aqua jet combo," said Ash and Gary
Both Blastoise and Charizard charged at each other and collided in mid field results into explosion.Charizard and Blastoise can be seen standing opposite to each other with no movement at all.Few moment later Blastoise fell unconcious.
"Blastoise is unable to battle, Charizard wins." declared referee
"Charizard return, you did amazing job" said Ash recalling his fire type
"My next pokemon is" said Gary as he sent his Scizor
"As scizor huh, " said Ash sending his Heracross
"Scizor vs Heracross let the battle begin," said referee
"Heracross start with night slash !"said Ash
"Scizor counter with flash cannon !"said Gary
Heracross's claws surrounded in dark energy and charged at Scizor who brought his pincers forward and launched the flash cannon that striked Heracross.
" Heracross you okay," asked Ash
"Hera" said Heracross as he stood back
"Heracross use rock slide !"said Ash as heracross raised his claws in the air after which multiple boulders fall from above on Scizor
"Scizor use bullet punch to destroy them !"said Gary as Scizor rapidly used bullet punch on boulders to destroy them.
"Heracross use bulk up while Scizor is buzy and use focus blast !"said Ash
Heracross glowed red and flexed its muscles and then fired orb of white energy towards Scizor
"Scizor use razor wind!"said Gary as Scizor crosses its arms and both of its claws glow white. It then slashes the air in front of it, causing a powerful wind to appear and blow the focus blast away and strikes Heracross.
"scizor use quick attack !"said Gary
"Heracross use rock smash !"said Ash
Scizor charged at Heracross with quick attack. When Scizor is about a feet away from Heracross, Heracross jumped in the air and landed rock smash which is enough to stop Scizor in mid track.
"Scizor use night slash !"said Gary
"Heracross use stone edge !"said Ash
Scizor's claws surrounded in dark aura and charged at Heracross. Heracross formed two rings of white energy that converted into sharp edge stones. Heracross then launched stone edge at Scizor.
" Now use hyper beam," said Ash as heracross's horn glowed orange and released beam of concentrated energy while Scizor is busy in dodging stone edge
"Scizor no" said Gary as hyperbeam crashed into Scizor knocking it back.
"Sciz" said Scizor as he stood back on its feet
"Scizor use iron head !"said Gary
"Heracross use double team into focus blast!"said Ash
Scizor surrounded in silver energy and charged at Heracross. Heracross used double team due to which Scizor missed its target.Heracross then used focus blast which scizor deflected using night slash.
"Scizor use flash cannon !"said Gary
" Heracross use hyperbeam! " said Ash
Scizor pointed its pincers at Heracross and launched flash cannon. Heracross then launched hyper beam from its horn. Both attacks connected in middle forming massive orb which exploded afterwards sending the two pokemon back to their trainers.
"Heracross/Scizor you okay" asked Ash and Gary
"Sciz/Herr" said the two pokemon
Both Ash and Gary nodded to each other before they gave final command
"Heracross/Scizor use bullet punch/close combat," said Ash and Gary
Scizor assaulted Heracross with bullet punch. Heracross meanwhile used close combat to counter bullet punch.
"Heracross use x-scissor !"said Ash
"Scizor use night slash !"said Gary
Heracross used x-scissor which Scizor counter with night slash.
"Scizor use arial ace !"said Gary
"Heracross use aerial ace !"said Ash
"Heracross use brick break !"said Ash
"Scizor use brick break !"said Gary
"Scizor use flash cannon !"said Gary
"Heracross use Focus punch !"said Ash
"Heracross use rock blast !"said Ash
"Scizor use rock smash !"said Gary
Heracoss blasted multiple rocks at Scizor. Scizor used rock smash to destroy some.of the rocks but few of them strikes it leavung great amount of damage
"Scizor use brick break !"said Gary
"Heracross use seismic toss !"said Ash
As Scizor swings its pincers, Heracross get behind Scizor and grabbed him abd flew in the air and when Heracross is about to fall back towards the field, Gary said loudly to Scizor
" Scizor use flash cannon to lower your speed," said Gary as scizor pointed its pincers towards field and lauched flash cannon which reduce the impact of seismic toss.
"Now use hyperbeam/flash cannon" said Gary and Ash which results into dual knockout.
"Heracross and Scizor is unable to battle.As trainer Ash Ketchum still has one pokemon,he is the winner," declared referee
"Nice battle Ash,you reminded me of our battle in Johto league" said Gary
"Thanks," said Ash as both shook their hands
Next battle was between Paul and Luke. Luke used his Golett which got defeated by Paul's Aggron and he used his Larvesta which Paul defeated using his Drapion. Next battle was between Cilan and Barry in which Cilan defeated Barry using his Pansage and Dwebble.Then it comes final battle between lris and Stephan. In this Iris used her Excadrill and Axew. Axew defeated Leipard and Excadrill defeated Zebstrika.
"Ladies and gentlement, finally it's time for first semifinal battle between Ash and Iris. Please welcome our two semifinalists" said announcer
"Congratulations Iris, " said Ash
"Thanks," said Iris
"Don't think that I will show any mercy on you just because we are friends" said Ash
"I won't do that either," said Iris
"Trainers, send your pokemon," said referee
"Go Axew," said Iris sending her Axew
"Feraligatr, battle time buddy," said Ash sending his water type
"Feraligatr vs Axew let the battle begin," said referee
"Axew start with dragon rage, " said Iris
"Feraligatr use dragon pulse," said Ash
Dragon pulse and dragon rage connected with each other resulting into explosion.
"Axew use dragon rage," said Iris
"Feraligatr, use whirlpool to absorb it," said Ash
As Axew launched dragon rage, Feraligatr formed whirlpool.When dragon rage connected with it, it started to merge with
whirlpool. Whirlpool slowly gained blue color of dragon rage.
"Now send whirlpool back to Axew," said
Ash
Feraligatr throws whirlpool at Axew which dealt great damage to Axew
"Axew no," said Iris and Ash felt bad too. But this is good for Axew's development.. He can't be a baby dragon for his entire life time.
"Axew" said Axew as he stood back and glared Feraligatr
"Axew, use draco meteor," said Iris
"Feraligatr, use hydro pump," said Ash
As Axew is forming draco meteor, Feraligatr launched hydro pump which took Axew with it and strikes the wall behind Iris.
"Ax" said Axew as he becomes unconscious
"Axew is " referee started to declare but got interrupt by Iris
"Wait, he can battle." said Iris
"Axew, can you hear me, " asked Iris
"Ax" said Axew faintly as no one can hear him
"Axew we promised to win every tournament, please get up. We cannot loose, we are going to be the best duo, we have to fulfil the promise we made at the dragon village." said Iris
"Axew" said Axew loudly this time as he tried to stood up with all of his strength. Axew glared Feraligatr, with new determination he started to glow red.Axew then charged towards Feraligatr.
"That's outrage, Feraligatr stop Axew using ice beam," said Ash
Feraligator launched ice beams but Axew dodged every one of them and started to use outrage on Feraligatr.
"Feraligatr, grab Axew and use dragon pulse," said Ash
"Axew use dragon rage," said Iris but Axew is not listening to her.
After struggling for few minutes, Feraligatr grabbed Axew by tail and used dragon pulse on close range knocking it out instantly.
"Axew is unable to battle, Feraligatr wins," declared referee
"Axew, I am sorry" said Iris
"Axew is brave Iris, this is a learning phase for him.You fail and learn and and then fail and this is how life works." said Ash
"Right, but I will not held back," said Iris as she sends her Excadrill.
"Excadrill vs Feraligatr, let the battle begin," said referee
"Excadrill start with drill run," said Iris
"Double team," said Ash
Excadrill jump in the air and charged towards Feraligatr like a drill. Feraligatr created its copies on the field.
"Now ice beam," said Ash as copies of Feraligatr launched beam of ice towards Excadrill.
"Excadrill use dig" said Iris as Excadrill dug its way under the field.
"Take him out with earthquake," said Ash as Feraligatr jumped in the air and landed on the field making ground shaken up due to which Excadrill is thrown out of underground.
"Now use ice beam," said Ash as Feraligatr launched ice beam on Excadrill freezing him in the block of ice.
"Excadrill," said Iris in shock
"Exca" said Excadrill as he made himself free from block of ice. Excadrill looked at Iris and then they both stopped for a second.
"If you want to do that, go for it," said Iris as Excadrill nodded and then used the combination of drill run and giga impact.
Moving towards like a drill with added power of giga impact, Excadrill is charging at Feraligatr.
"Feraligatr stop him, use super power," said Ash. Feraligatr nodded and bring his arms forward in order to stop Excadrill.
After lot's of struggle Feraligatr able to stop Excadrill.
"He stopped Excadrill" said Iris in shock
"Excadrill get out of there," said Iris
"Nice work, now finish using dragon pulse," said Ash as Feraligatr already formed dragon pulse in his jaws and launched Excadrill in the air before launching dragon pulse that leads to explosion sending Excadrill crashed near Iris's feet
"Excadrill, can you battle. We can forfiet if you can't battle anymore" asked Iris
"Exca" said Excadrill
"You want to fight, then we will fight," said Iris
"Use giga impact," said Iris
"Feraligatr use aqua impact " said Ash as Feraligatr charged at incoming excadrill with giga impact and aquajet combo.Both pokemon collided which results into dual knockout
"Feraligatr and Excadrill are unable to battle.With Ash still has one unrevealed pokemon,Ash moves to finals" declared referee
"The final battle will start after an interval of one hour" said Don George
One hour later Ash and Paul are standing opposite to each other with pokeball in their hands.
"Trainers send your first pokemon," said referee
"Go," said Paul sending his Ursaring
"Ursu" said Ursuring
"Primeape go," said Ash sending his primeape
"Primeape vs Ursuring let the battle begin," said referee
"Primeape be careful, Paul's ursaring is a no joke at all.He can defeat us, if we loose our focus," said Ash to which primeape nodded
"Ursaring start with slash," said Paul
"Primeape use double team," said Ash as primeape used double team to avoid the slash attack.Now,there are multiple copies of primeape on battle field.
"Earthquake now," said Paul
"Jump and use stone edge," said Ash as all copies jumped in the air and launched stone edge that strikes Ursaring direct on its chest.
"Now use close combat," said Ash as primeape started to assault Ursaring with kicks and punches.
"Ursaring stop him," said Paul as with all his effort Ursaring grabbed the leg of Primeape.
"What you will do now, Ursaring use hyper beam" asked Paul
"Primeape get yourself free with blaze kick" said Ash as Primeape's leg covered in flames which transferred to Ursaring making Primeape free from the clutches of Ursaring. Ursaring then all of sudden covered in red aura.Ursaring then charged at Primeape with glowing claw.
"Primeape detect and use circle throw," said Ash as primeape dodged the attack and used circle throw to send Ursaring in the air. Paul couldn't believe his eyes, primeape just tossed Ursaring in the air like it is nothing.
"Now use close combat," said Ash as Primeape jumps in the air and landed continuous punches and kicks. One kick is in spinal cord, followed by punch in the belly followed by kick in knee area and then a perfect chop on neck making ursaring knocked out instantly.
"Ursaring is unable to battle, Primeape is the winner," said referee
"Your Primeape is strong," said Paul
"I know, after all my primeape is a p1 grand prix champion from past five years." said Ash rubbing head of primeape which he enjoys.
"Primeape, return for now," said Ash recalling his fighting type
"Trainers send your next pokemon," said referee
"Magmortar stand by for battle," said Paul
"Charizard, battle time," said Ash sending his Charizard
"Charizard you can handle it right," asked Ash to which he nodded
"Charizard vs Magmortar let the battle begin," said referee
"Battle of fire types, it will be an interesting flavour to see," said Cilan
"Magmortar is strong, don't under estimate him," said Barry
"Magmortar use smog," said Paul
"Charizard use hurricane to blow it away," said Ash as Charizard flapped his massive wings at rapid rate creating a powerful hurricane in the arena and blew away the smog.
"Now fire dragon rage," said Ash as Charizard's eyes glow white, then the flame on its tail grows to a huge size. It then forms a ball of fire in its mouth and releases a fiery inferno at the Magmortar
"Magmortar use focus blast," said Paul
Focus blast then engulfed by inferno and started to pushed back to Magmortar and then it exploded in mid air.
"Charizard use dragon breath," said Ash
"Magmortar use barrier," said Paul as a transparent energy shield formed blocking the dragon breath.
"Now use smoke screen," said Ash as Charizard released black smoke that covered the entire battle field.
"Now take it to the air," said Ash as few moments later Charizard emerged out of the smoke in the air with Magmortar in his grip.
"Now use submission, and then seismic toss," said Ash as Charizard spins around in circles before spins around, zooms back down, and tosses the Magmortar back into the ground creating a crater in the field
"Mag" said Magmortar as it stood up back on its feet.
"Magmortar use giga impact," said Paul
"Charizard use dragon impact," said Ash
Both Charizard and Magmortar charged at each other covered in the energy streaks at each other. Charizard used giga impact combined with dragon rush and Magmortar used giga impact. When both power houses collided in mid of the battle, they tried to push each other back and eventually created explosion.Dust and smoke covered the battlefield.Charizard
then flew out of the smoke in the air and started to circle Magmortar.
When smoke cleared, Magmortar can be seen on his left leg.
"Magmortar if you can battle use, focus blast," said Paul
"Charizard fire dragon pulse," said Ash as Charizard opened his maw and fired blue pulse of energy that took shape of dragon and engulfed focus blast before destroying it and charged towards Magmortar
"Magmortar quickly use overheat," said Paul as to counter dragon pulse Magmortar used overheat that results into explosion.
"Charizard use dragon rush and steel wing together," said Ash
"Magmortar use rock tomb," said Paul
Magmortar then fired purple orb from his cannon arms that converted into boulders towards Charizard. Charizard then avoided as many boulders he can. Finally Charizard strikes Magmortar who used all of its strength to stop charizard.
"Charizard this is our time use dragon rage," said Ash as Charizard launched dragon rage pushing magmortar back.As soon as Ash saw an opportunity he ordered Charizard to grab Magmortar
"Now use seismic toss but use flame charge along with it , " said Ash
"Magmortar free yourself, use rock romb" said Paul but us didn't worked as Charizard didn't give time to Magmortar and flew in the air. Few moments later Charizard used seismic toss making Magmortar more damaged.
"Now Charizard use giga impact, Magmortar you use it too," said Ash and Paul and with collision of two fire types explosion occurred that results into smoke and dust flying everywhere else. When smoke cleared Magmortar can be seen unconscious and heavily tired Charizard.
"Charizard is winner and victory goes to Ash Ketchum. The winner of this tournament is Ash Ketchum," declared announcer
"We did it Charizard," said Ash and in return charizard covered Ash in black smoke.Ash then recalled his Charizard back to the pokeball
"Nice battle Ketchum, I hope you will give me same competition in Unova league," said Paul as he recalled his Magmortar back. Later on Ash and Paul shook their hands.
"Thanks, " said Ash
