Two days later Ash and his friends reached outskirts of the Mistralton City.
"Wow ! Look at that Pikachu. Our destination for next gym battle," said Ash
"Pika" said Ash
"Jol" said Joltik
"I know Joltik you are excited too, but you have a long time before you actually starts battling. We have to train first." said Ash
"Joltik quite attatched to you Ash, " said Cilan
"After traveling for two hours we came to know that this little guy wants to be your pokemon," said Iris
"Yeah" said Ash as he rubbed the head of Joltik.
"And we got new little friend here," said Ash pointing to his newly caught Krokorok.
"So, are you enjoying yourself," asked Ash to which he confidently nodded
"But you don't have to attack us like that." said Ash making it sad
"Don't be so sad, I know you want to be in a team that recognize your battling skills and give the love and friendship you deserve.I promise you, like my other pokemon you will be strong but we just new to speed up our training" said Ash making Krokorok flex his muscles
"Also Iris, don't forget you got yourself a Bouffalant," said Ash
"Right," said Iris
"And my Dwebble evolved into Crustle, " said Cilan
"Yup, this means we are getting stronger" said Ash
"Return for now you two," said Ash recalling his newly aquired Joltik and Krokorok
"Now, let's go guys," said Ash
As Ash and his friends reached the gym they noticed oddly looking gym
"Hey, isn't this gym is odd," asked Iris
"I don't think so, there are certain gyms that don't looks like a gym. My friend from Kanto is a cerulean gym leader and her gym looks like an aquarium." said Ash
"That's amazing." said Iris
"Look at my gym,it serves as a restraunt and gym. And don't forget Nacrene City gym, it is a museum " said Cilan
"Right," said Ash
"Let's go inside the gym," said Ash
When Ash, Iris and Cilan tried to enter the gym, a man in his thirties stopped them.
"Are you a challenger," asked the man
"Yes, " said Ash
"Sorry but you have to take appointment. All gym battles here are pre scheduled and we have an open slot in the afternoon," said the man
"Should I schedule your appointment for afternoon at 3 PM," asked the man
"Sure," said Ash
Few moments later Ash's appointment is fixed.
"Meanwhile our gym leader arrives and she battles other trainer, you can wait and observe," said the person
Twenty minutes later plane landed and from inside it came out Skyla.
"Hi there, I am skyla, Mistralton city gym leader. So all of you are here to challenge me,"
"Yes we are," said all challengers
"Okay then, let's start the battle. I will battle all of you one by one.It would be a three on three battle" said Skyla
"First of all we will show our pokemon to each other. My team is " said Skyla as she send her Unfezant,Braviary and Swanna out.
"She has these three pokemon," said Ash as he prepared to plan strategy against her.
"I wonder what flavour she use for battling," asked Cilan
"Who want to battle first," asked Skyla as a kid stepped forward and showed her three pokemon he has.All of the team consists of electric type.
"You have electric type let's see," said Skyla as she closed her eyes and started to think deeply. Few moments later she opened her eyes and said something which Ash and Cilan can't believe
"You win, I lost. Your electric types are stronger than my flying type," said Skyla
"Here is your badge," said Skyla giving the badge
"What, is this even a battle," asked Ash in utter shock to a kid who won the battle recently
"Yes, this is the style of Skyla. Just by looking at your pokemon she can predict the outcome of the battle." said the kid
"What kind of gym battle is this," asked Ash
"This is rubbish," said Cilan
Ash and Cilan are looking at all other battles and they were shocked to see how Skyla could do this. At this point Ash and Cilan are fuming with the anger.Thirty minutes later Skyla done with all her battles
"I have to go now, see you later," said Skyla
"Skyla wait," said Ash and Cilan walking towards her with rage built up inside her.
"Who are you by the way," asked Skyla
"I am a challenger and I am here you to challenge for jet badge," said Ash
"Sorry, I have some important work, will battle you later " said Skyla
"You can't go like this," said Ash
" Listen you, I am not in a mood to battle right now.Will schedule your battle some other day," said Skyla
"Is this real, " asked Ash in furious tone
"I don't know, but it is totally a disgrace to the position of gym leader and meaning of pokemon battle," said Cilan
"We both need explanation right now," said Ash and Cilan
"Listen you two, I have to go right now," said Skyla
"You are not going anywhere. Electivire stop that plane from flying" said a familiar voice as jolt of electricity hit the Skyla's plane breaking it down
"Paul," said Ash as he looks at Paul who is standing far away as he recalled his pokemon back inside the ball.
"Who are you," asked Skyla
"It doesn't matter who I am. What matters is who you are " said Paul
"I am gym leader," said Skyla
"Cut the crap, you are not a gym leader.You are a little girl who is doing a charity." said Paul
"Hey what you mean," asked Skyla
"What Paul meant to say is that your gym battle style is rubbish" said Cilan
"Who are you," asked Skyla
"I am Cilan, gym leader of Straiton City " said Cilan
"I travelled and met many gym leaders from Kanto,Johto,Hoenn and Sinnoh and I can say that you are not at level of those gym leaders" said Ash
"Right, you are just a waste gym leader Skyla, who don't want to battle to know the challengers, " said Paul
"How dare you," asked Skyla fuming at Paul
"Truth is bitter Skyla but truth is truth," said Cilan
"I can agree on this, " said an old man
"Grandpa you too," said Skyla
"Skyla, you have to understand that gym battle is not about getting or giving gym badge ,it is a challenge, test of strength, understanding your pokemon,bonding with them and reach to your new limits" said Skyla's grandfather
"But if I know I can win without battling then why should I," said Skyla
"Listen up, let's have a battle between you and me" said Ash
"A battle with you, give me a break" said Skyla as all of sudden kids in the background started to cheer
"Go and show that kid what you can do." said one kid which annoyed Paul
"Shut the hell you piece of " said Paul but he was stopped by Ash
"I have one deal, battle Cilan, Paul and me and prove that you are better gym leader," said Ash
"Go Skyla , win the battle for us and show that you are strong," said another kid which is literally annoying Paul
"Okay deal," said Skyla
"I will battle you first in a three on three battle" said Skyla pointing to Ash.Thirty minutes later Ash is standing opposite to Skyla.
"Show me your team," said Skyla
"Let's make this even more interesting, I will show you my pokemon and you can select your opponent," said Ash
"Ash are you sure is this a good idea " asked Iris
"Believe me," said Ash
"That's amazing," said Skyla as Ash send out his Servine, Ivysaur, Meganium, Torterra, Leavanny, Sceptile, Scolipede,
Donphan, Gliscor, Palpitoad, Primeape,
Scraggy,Heracross,Pignite,Infernape.
"Let's see, I select Pignite as it is part fighting and fire type which my Swana can easily defeat, your Leavanny will be an easy target for my Unfezant.Your Servine against my Swoobat." said Skyla as Ash recalled his other pokemon back
"Why I think this is the worst decision that Ash have ever made," said Cilan
"Let the gym battle between Ash and Skyla begin." said Skyla's grandfather as roof of the gym opens up
"Battle time swanna," said Skyla as she send her Swanna out
"Pignite go," said Ash sending his fire and fighting type
"Pignite are you ready to take on this gym," asked Ash
"Pig," said Pignite
"Pignite vs Swanna let the battle begin," said Skyla's grandfather
"Swanna start with water gun," said Skyla
"Pignite counter water gun with flamethrower," said Ash as flamethrower easily matched with water gun making it evaporate.
"Swanna use water pulse," said Skyla
"Pignite use rock tomb to cover yourself" said Ash
As swanna launched water pulse pignite used rock tomb and created rock tomb which saved him from water pulse.
"Swanna use aerial ace," said Skyla
"Save yourself with protect and once Swanna is in range use thunder punch," said Ash
Pignite jumped over rock tomb and then used protect which saved him flying type attack.As said by Ash, by using aerial ace swanna is near Pignite and he used thunder punch which swanna dodged.
"Swanna use brave bird," said Skyla
"Pignite use double team " said Ash as Pignite created its copies making Skyla confused and brave bird hitting the copy of pignite
"Swanna clear the copies using hurricane and then use brave bird," said Skyla
"Use rockslide into wild blitz," said Ash
Swanna initially created hurricane which pignite blocked by making large boulders fall in front of Swanna.Swanna charged in with brave bird and Pignite charged in with flare blitz and wild charge combo. Both pokemon connected in middle of the battle. Pignite and Swanna are pushing each other back until both pokemon repelled each other.Both pokemon took recoil damage.
"Her brave bird attack will give us victory"
"Swanna use bubble beam," said Skyla
"Pignite let's use your new move, counter shield," said Ash
"Thank god, I taught my Unova native pokemon countershield,"
Pignite used countershield that destroyed bubble beam and striked Swanna as well.
"Swanna use hurricane," said Skyla
"Use protect into double team," said Ash
"Swanna use water pulse,"
"Pignite use protect,"
"Swanna use brave bird,"
"Pignite use flare blitz"
"Swana use aerial ace,"
"Pignite use double team"
"Swanna use hurricane,"
"Pignite use wild charge, "
"Swanna use aerial ace,"
"Pignite dodge and use focus blast,"
Focus blast hit the mark and send swanna crashed on the field.
"Now before it could fly use heat crash," said Ash. Pignite used heat crash which did the good amount of damage. With lot of effort swanna stood up
"Swana use aqua ring," said Skyla
"Use overheat," said Ash as Pignite launched overheat that hit Swanna turning aqua ring into steam.
"Now finish with sunny day into solar beam," said Ash
"Swanna get out of there," said Skyla as swanna used aerial ace to evade the attack.
"Now finish with brave bird" said Skyla
"Use flare blitz" said Ash as this attack leads to dual knockout.
"Swanna and Pignite are unable to battle," said Miles
"So I defeated you," said Skyla
"It is a draw," said Ash
"It doesn't matter if it is a draw, what matter is my swanna defeated you," said Skyla annoying Ash
"I can't tolerate this girl,""So did you enjoyed battling," asked Ash
"Not yet," said Skyla
"Please send your next pokemon, " said Miles
Ash sends his Leavanny and Skyla sends her Unfezant
"Unfezant vs Leavanny, let the battle begin," said Miles
"Unfezant use air slash," said Skyla
"Leavanny use light screen into string shot," said Ash
Air slash connected with light screen before it was sent back to Unfezant.Leavanny then send sticky silk that stuck to Unfezant's wings.
"Now wrap unfezant," said Ash
"Unfezant dodge," said Skyla
To her luck, unfezant quickly dodged the attack but Unfezant's speed reduced a bit.
"Leavanny use sunny day," said Ash as Leavanny glowed orange and then sunlight becomes too bright
"Unfezant use sky attack," said Skyla
"Wait for it to come near you and dodge," said Ash
"You will not be able to dodge ," said Skyla but she was shocked when Leavanny jumped in the air on time
"Now use electro web," said Ash. Leavany made unfezant covered in electric web making Unfezant crash on the field
"Unfezant get up, we are strong right," said Skyla
"Leavanny use leaf storm," said Ash as Leavanny released storm of leaf that hit Unfezant
"Unfezant get up and use brave bird," said Skyla
"Don't give them time use seed bomb into solar beam," said Ash
"Amazing, Ash is making pressure on Skyla," said Cilan
"I didn't know Ash could do something like this," said Iris as she can see Leavanny is assaulting Unfezant with seed bomb and finally launched solar beam knocking it out instantly
"Unfezant is unable to battle, Leavanny wins," said Miles
"But how, your leavanny is at type disadvantage" asked Skyla
"Maybe leavanny is at type disadvantage, but she was training with my flying types and by using sunnyday I activated her chlorophyll ability which increased her speed. When your unfezant is about to strike she jumped in the air to avoid and then you know the rest of the thing." said Ash
"In short type disadvantage is nothing if you train properly," said Miles
"Now my final pokemon, " said Skyla as she sent her swoobat
"Swoobat start with gust," said Skyla
"Use light screen," said Ash
"Swoobat use air cutter," said Skyla
"Counter it with twister ," said Ash
Swoobat's air cutter destroyed by twister and strikes Swoobat
"Now use leaf tornado," said Ash
"Blow it away use gust," said Skyla as her swoobat destroyed the leaf tornado
"We are just starting, " said Ash
"Servine take yourself into the air and then use seed bomb," said Ash
"Swoobat send servine towards the ground with gust," said Skyla
Swoobat released gust attack knocking Servine on the battlefield.
"Servine can you battle," asked Ash to which she nodded
"Good, now use sweet scent," said Ash as servine released sweet aroma that lowers swoobat's evasiveness.
"Is you swoobat male," asked Ash
"Yes," replied skyla
"Servine, this is your cue," said Ash making Skyla confused and then Servine used attract making Swoobat infatuated.
"Now use leech seed ,then seed bomb and finally finish swoobat with leaf storm" said Ash
"Swoobat break free from attract," said skyla but it was of no use.Servine then launched three attacks consecutively knocking it out instantly.
"Swoobat is unable to battle, since Skyla is out of usable pokemon.Ash ketchum is the winner," declared Miles making Skyla shocked
"Did you understand now, " asked Paul walking towards the gym leader
"I got it, but I want to continue my passion for flying," said Skyla
"You can do that on weekend, you can just have fix timing for the gym battles," said Ash
"Why I didn't thought about that," said skyla
"I promise that I will battle with challengers and will give badges after battle only,"said Skyla
"Thanks for reminding me what a true gym battle is," said Skyla
"Cilan and Paul, I will battle you next," said Skyla.
Three hours later she battled Cilan and it leads to draw between the two.Next day it is Paul's turn to battle Skyla and he defeated her pokemon using his Electivire,Torterra and Infernape.
"So Paul what is your next move.What are you going to do next" asked Ash
"There is a tournament in Ambiga Town three weeks later, and I am going to train for that.This is for fighting types only, but other types are allowed as well.You can register single pokemon only" said Paul
"A tournament, I think I will train as well," said Ash
"Hey, why don't we train together," asked Ash
"I will train on my own," said Paul
"Same old Paul," said Ash
"So, where we are going to train," asked Iris
"We can find training spot," said Ash
Ash and his friends found the training spot near Mistralton city.
"Come out everyone," said Ash sending his fifty one pokemon out
"Guys there is a competition coming up in next three weeks and we are going to train.So problem here is that we can only use one pokemon. So I am preferring to give scraggy a chance to battle.What you say guys," asked Ash making his pokemon cheer up
"Ok then we will train as usual and we will help our new team members
Nosepass,Steelix,Lairon,Mimikyu, Bagon
,Corvisquire,Baltoy,Golett,Joltik,Krokorok in becoming strong" said Ash to which his pokemon nodded.
"Primeape, Lucario, Scraggy, Heracross, Pignite and Infernape you work on combat skills," said Ash to which they nodded
"Baltoy you are up first," said Ash
"So who will battle on their own against Baltoy," asked Ash as pikachu stepped forward
Pikachu started with thunder bolt.
"Baltoy use rapid spin to deflect thunderbolt," said Ash as Baltoy started to spin like a battle top and deflected thunderbolt.
"Now Pikachu you have to decide how to stop Baltoy.Baltoy keep pressure on pikachu," said Ash as Baltoy charged at Pikachu with rapid spin and Pikachu used his iron tail to stop the Baltoy but Baltoy is fast.
Ash's grass ,fire ,water and other pokemon are doing target practice on Ash's flying types. After having battle with Skyla, Ash ordered them to target moving object in which Blastoise is helping them. Garchomp is giving lessons to Bagon
"So to greet Ash, bite on his head.Right here. First of all jump in the air and then bite," said Garchomp to Bagon
"Will I be strong in this way," asked Bagon
"Yes," replied Garchomp
"Garchomp, you have to move tutor him not this ," said Meganium giving glare to him
"Krokorok you work on speed of dig," said Ash
"Ralts, you work on teleportation" said Ash
"Pawniard why don't you go and work on combat skills with Scraggy" said Ash to which he nodded
It's already two weeks and three days passed and Ash's friends are working on improving skills of their pokemon. Ash's current pokemon are getting stronger. In past two weeks Ash focused on his new captures and trained with them.
Ash worked on attack,defense,speed ,
endurance and stamina. Ash worked on increasing move pool of his pokemon, and make sure that attack power is strong .
Ash's pokemon can easily target air born pokemon. Their accuracy improved,Iris and Cilan's pokemon are getting stronger as well.During training Iris's axew evolved into Fraxure.Currently Ash is giving final battle training to his pokemon.
"Corvisquire use quick attack, Ralts use teleport and then fire punch," said Ash
Corviquire charged in with quick attack and then Ralts teleported and appeared above Corvisquire landing a fire punch and then teleported back to her place
"Corvisquire use air slash, Ralts use psychic to stop air slash and then use magical leaf. Corvisquire to counter magical leaf use quick attack while using steel wing and spin like a drill," said Ash
Corvisquire initially launched air slash that Ralts stopped using psychic and then retaliated with magical leaf. Corvisquire dashed in using quick attack and steel wing combo while spinning like a drill
"Okay stop both of you," said Ash as he stopped battle between Ralts and Corvisquire
"Iris and Cilan how your training going on," asked Ash
"I is going good, and we are ready to move towards Ambiga Town " said Cilan
"Let's go then," said Ash
"This town looks great Cilan," said Ash
"Yes, this town is good and " said Cilan as they meet stephan
"Hey Stephin, are you going to participate in clubsplosion tournament," asked Ash
"In my current life, will I able to see someone pronouncing my name correct "
"Yes, I will battle too," said Stephan
"So which pokemon are you going to use," asked Cilan
"My swak," said Stephan
"And you," asked Stephan
"My scraggy," said Ash
"Awesome, but what about your primeape" asked Stephan
"I want to give my Unova pokemon a battle chance," said Ash
"Outta my way ! Outta my way ! " said a familiar voice
"Oh no, not again," said Ash as a person already slammed into him sending it flying in the nearby water stream.
"Bianca !" said Ash as he screamed loud
"Why you do this to me," asked Ash making himself dry
"Sorry Ash, I was in hurry, " said Bianca
"For what," asked Ash
"For clubsplosion tournament," said Biance
"We are going there as well," said Bianca
"Why don't we go together," said Iris
" Sure," said Bianca
