Ash, Iris and Cilan finally reached Icirrus city gym where Brycen is waiting for Ash to challenge him. Recently with the help Brycen, Ash and his friends put pokemon hunter behind the bars who is trying to steal volcanora.And now Ash is ready to challenge the gym.
The group arrives at the Gym, a bunker-like building near the forest. The massive metal doors of the Gym slide apart and release a chilling cloud of cold air.
"That's so cold. " said Iris
"Let's go," said Ash as he run through a doorway but icy field make Ash slip on the field.
"Welcom Ash, I believe icy field surprised you," said Brycen from far away. Voice of Brycen echoed in the battle hall.
"Not at all, I expected this. I just needed to walk cautiously " said Ash
"So Ash, are you ready for battle," asked Brycen
"I am ready " said Ash
"I like your spirit, just show me what you have got," said Brycen
"If you win I have a special pokemon for you as a reward," said Brycen
"A pokemon," asked Ash
"Yes, it is an ice type but it's a secret," said Brycen
"Also as per your request, this will be a six on six full battle," said Brycen
"This will be a six on six gym battle between challenger Ash Ketchum and gym leader Brycen. Battle will be over once any side is out of usable pokemon" declared referee
Brycen sends his Vanillish and Ash sends his Baltoy.
Brycen starts with Blizzard and Ash started with sandstorm. Both sandstorm and blizzard negated each other.
"Ok Baltoy use rock polish," said Ash
"Vanillish use Icicle spear," said Brycen as Baltoy used rock polish and easily dodged the icicle spear.
Brycen then commanded Vanillish to use use ice beam and Ash commanded Baltoy to use rapid spin to deflect ice beam
"I have to say, you are an amazing trainer Ash. Your pokemon evaded icebeam easily" said Brycen
"Thanks, " said Ash
"Now Vanillish use icy wind," said Brycen
"Baltoy use rocktomb," said Ash as Baltoy settles on the field and multiple rocks fall around it and saved it from damage. Few moments later Baltoy came out in the air without damage
"Dang, this kid is strong," said Brycen
"Let's bring Vanillish to ground, use gravity, " said Ash as Baltoy settled on the ground and glowed white. Vanillish started to pulled towards the field. Once Vanillish is on the field Ash ordered Baltoy to use earth power and then psybeam on Vanillish
Baltoy sends a shock wave into the ground, causing a pillar of stones to appear or the ground to shake violently which hurt Vanillish and then fired psybeam knocking out Vanillish
"Baltoy return, " said Ash recalling his pokemon
Brycen then sends his Glalie and Ash sends his Roggenrolla.
Battle between Glalie and Roggenrola starts and Glalie begun with ice beam and roggenrola started with stone edge.
"Glalie use sheer cold," said Brycen
Glalie released sheer cold attack that made area surrounding Glalie started to freeze quickly. Roggenrolla countered using flash cannon.Flash cannon strikes Glalie sending it crashed in the wall behind Brycen.
"Glalie use gyro ball," said Brycen
"Roggenrola use gravity," said Ash
"Roggenrola too" asked Brycen as Glalie touched the battle field.Brycen asked Glalie to use sheer cold and Ash ordered Roggenrola to use earthpower that threw Glalie in the air.
"Glalie return," said Brycen as he recalled his pokemon back.Brycen then sends his
Glaceon out
"You have Glaceon," said Ash as he recalled his roggenrola back and sends his Dewott out
"Glaceon start with hyper voice," said
Brycen
"Dewott use countershield," said Ash as counter shield blocked hyper voice.
"Dewott use night slash," said Ash
"Glaceon dodge and use iron tail" said Brycen
Glaceon gracefully dodged and landed powerful irontail on Dewott sending it crashed on the field. Just before Dewott could balance himself, Glaceon already used shadow ball that strikes Dewott creating explosion
"Dewott can you battle ," asked Ash to which he nodded
"Great, now use aerial ace," said Ash as Dewott glowed white before he charged at Glaceon.Glaceon then used double team to evade making Dewott missed his mark.
"Now glaceon use blizzard," said Brycen
"Dewott use double team to evade," said Ash but Blizzard destroyed all copies and eventually striked original Dewott.
"Gla" said Glaceon as she landed gracefully on the field
"Ok Dewott we will try things differently, use aqua jet to get near Glaceon," said Ash
"It will not work,Glaceon use blizzard," said Brycen
"It will work, " said Ash as aquajet freezes up and Dewott is now acting as an ice missile and striked Glaceon.
"Now, Dewott use full power night slash," said Ash as Dewott's scalchop glowed dark and striked Glaceon making her cry in pain
"Glaceon if you can fight use shadow ball" said Brycen
"Dewott burst that shadow ball with night slash," said Ash as Dewott slashed shadow ball that created black and purple smoke which blocked Glaceon's visibility
"Now use aqua slash," said Ash as Dewott used aqua jet and extended his scalchop glowing dark in outwards direction and darted towards Glaceon while spining like a drill.
"Glaceon dodge," said Brycen but she can't dodge as her leg was hurt from previously landed night slash. Dewott landed powerful combo making Glaceon crashed near Brycen
"Glaceon are you okay," asked Brycen to which she nodded
"Glaceon use ice beam," said Brycen
"Use aqua jet" said Ash
Glaceon dodged ice aqua jet and landed iron tail making Dewott crashed on the field.Glaceon then freezes Dewott with blizzard. With all his strength Dewott broke free from ice block and then used night slash which Glaceon countered with iron tail.
Glaceon then used blizzard which Dewott dodged using double team and striked her back with xscissor, and then used aerial ace. Glaceon used icy wind and Dewott used aquajet. Icy wind freezes aqua jet and it hit it's mark. As a result, Dewott wins
"You defeated my Glaceon, that's impressive. " said Brycen as he sends his frosslass out
"Dewott return," said Ash sending his Typhlosion
"A fire type huh," said Brycen. Battle started with Brycen commanding Frosslass with shadow ball and Typhlosion used focus blast. Frosslass then used icebeam which Typhlosion countered with flamethrower.Typhlosion then used flame wheel which Frosslass evaded using double team
"Typhlosion firespin around you," said Ash as typhlosion used fired spin that surrounded Typhlosion
"Frosslass use shadow ball," said Ash
"Typhlosion use flame wheel on shadow ball," said Ash as flame wheel and shadow ball connected after which flames around typhlosion started to change color and converted into dark shade and striked Frosslass making her cry in pain.
"Frosslass use hail," said Brycen
"Don't let her, use flare blitz," said Ash Typhlosion covered in flames and flames took shade of blue color. Typhlosion then charged at Frosslass
"Stop hail and use ice beam," said Brycen but it seems that it was the worst decision. Flareblitz easily overpowered ice beam and striked Frosslass knocking Frosslass out of the battle.
"How" asked Brycen
"Actually I trained my pokemon's attack against each other. So they are used to ice type attacks," said Ash
"Nice" said Brycen as he sends his Glalie out and Ash sends his Roggenrola
"Glalie start with ice beam," said Brycen
"Roggenrolla double team into rock slide," said Ash
Glalie launched ice beam at Roggenrolla who created its copies and then all copies of roggenrolla glowed white making multiple boulders fall from above.
"Glalie dodge using rapid spin and use frost breath" said Brycen
Glalie speed surprised Ash but didn't shocked him as he know how useful glalie can be, especially on icy field.
Getting back into his senses Ash said " Use dig, " Roggenrolla then dug its way underground making Glalie miss him
"Use gravity and then use flash cannon," said Ash as battlefield glowed blue making glalie fall on the field
"No way, " said Brycen as he told Glalie to prepare hyper beam whenever Roggenrola emerge from under the ground. As ground erupt with energy sending Glalie flying in the air and roggenrolla jumped out with flash cannon already prepared. Roggenrolla launched flach cannon which glalie dodged using double team and started to roll towards Roggenrola.
"Roggenrola use lock on and then sandstorm, said Ash as Roggenrolla used lock-on on Glalie and summons sand storm that covered the battle field
"Now use rock blast," said Ash as Roggenrola fired rock projectiles
"Glalie destroy it using gyro ball," said Brycen as glalie successfully destroyed some of the rock projectiles and took damage from some projectiles.
"Now use dig and flash cannon," said Ash
and this time Glalie is out of battle
"How ? " asked Brycen
"Well, Roggenrolla already knows whenever he uses dig and I order flash cannon, he will use earth power before flash cannon," said Ash
"Spectacular, that's what I call advance preparation " said Brycen as he recalled his fallen Glalie back into the pokeball. Ash recalled Roggenrola back as well.
Brycen then sent his Cryogonal out.
"What's that pokemon, "said Ash as he looked about it into pokedex
"Typhlosion can easily handle that, but I have two choices now. Krokorok and Scraggy.I think scraggy should be given a chance," thought Ash as he sends his Scraggy out
"Cryogonal use rapid spin," said Brycen
" Scraggy as be practiced, use protect," said Ash as scraggy created energy shield saving him from rapid spin.
"Scraggy use focus blast," said Ash
"Cryogonal use frost breath," said Brycen
Cryogonal used frost breath that freezes Scraggy in block of ice and focus blast hit its mark.
"Scraggy get out of the ice block use fire punch to melt the ice" said Ash and as per the plan scraggy successfully break free from ice.
"Okay now use dragon pulse," said Ash as Scraggy formed blue sphere between his hands and launched the energy beam in the form of dragon.
"Cryogonal use aurora beam," said Brycen as Cryogonal started to spin and launched green color beam from center of his body.Both attacks connected with each other that leads to explosion and smoke.
"Now quickly use fire punch," said Ash
"Dodge and use rapid spin," said Brycen
Scraggy jumped towards Cryogonal with fist encased in flames. As he is about to hit Cryogonal, Cryogonal dodged and used rapid spin which hit Scraggy sending it crashed on the field.
"Now use blizzard," said Brycen
"Scraggy if you can battle then get up and use high jump kick" said Ash
"Scra" said Scraggy as he get up and used high jump kick which striked Cryogonal.
"Cryogonal use confuse ray," said Brycen
"Use double team and use stone edge," said Ash
Scraggy evaded confuse ray and used stone edge that strikes Cryogonal.Then Cryogonal countered with aurora beam which scraggy dodged by taking cover behind the rock formation on the field. Scraggy then used focus blast which Cryogonal deflected using rapid spin and charged at Scraggy like a frisbee
"Idea" said Ash as he said Scragy to jump on rotating Cryogonal and form tight grip on Cryogonal. Scraggy did the same and is now trying to get hold on Cryogonal
"Send him back on the ground, use acrobatics," said Brycen
"Scraggy, slow it down use flames from fire punch," said Ash that shocked Brycen and to his surprise scraggy started to transfer flames from his hands on Cryogonal making him slow
"Scraggy now use drain punch," said Ash as Scraggy started to use drain punch back to back making Cryogonal more slower.
"Cryogonal throw him off and use freeze dry, " said Brycen and this time it deals more damage to Scraggy as he is near to Cryogonal.
"Oh no Scraggy is frozen once again" said Iris
"Yes, but I am not sure if scraggy can battle any more , sometimes freeze dry leads to hypothermia " said Cilan making Iris worried.
"There is no point in continuing with Scraggy, I don't want him to die from hypothernia," said Ash to himself
"I forfeit Scraggy," said Ash
"Scraggy is forfeited by Ash,the winner is Brycen " said referee as Cryogonal
"Go and take Scraggy to medical room," said Brycen as medic team took Scraggy to the medical room. Ash then sends his Roggenrola out.
"Roggenrola use dig," said Ash
"Cryogonal use hail," said Brycen
"Roggenrola use gravity, " said Ash
"Damn! He is using gravity once again," thought Brycen
"Now finish with flash cannon," said Ash as Roggenrola used his facourite combo once again knocking out Cryogonal
"Cryogonal is unable to battle, Roggenrola wins," declared referee as Roggenrola starts to evolve
"Congrats Boldore, you are looking great," said Ash as Boldore started to hapily dance
"You did great job," said Ash as he recalled him back
"Now my final pokemon," said Brycen as Beartic who was sitting at distance walked towards the battle field.Ash then sends his Krokorok
"Beartic start with ice beam," said Brycen
"Counter with dark pulse," said Ash
"Kroko rok" said Krokorok as he launched pulse of dark energy which connected with ice beam that results into explosion
"Now use blizzard" said Brycen
"Use stone edge" said Ash
Krokorok used stone edge and Beartic used blizzard.Blizzard formed icy layer on stone projectiles that hit beartic with double power.
"Krokorok use bulldoze," said Ash
"Counter with brine," said Brycen
Brine connected bulldoze sending Krokorok crashed into ice boulders. Krokorok the stood back and used dark pulse that Beartic countered with ice beam.
KrokorokusedStone Edge, but was countered by Icicle Crash. Krokorok attempted to useCrunchon Beartic, but its mouth got frozen by Beartic's Ice Punch.
Brycen commanded Beartic to use Brine.
Krokorok ran and leapt on the ice boulders to dodge the Brine attack and the ice on Krokorok's mouth had been shattered.
Krokorok then managed to hit Beartic with Stone Edge andDig, but Beartic grabbed Krokorok's tail and slammed it onto the ice boulders. Krokorok got inspired even more to battle Beartic, using Stone Edge. Beartic countered the move with Icicle Crash.
Beartic charged at Krokorok with aerial ace.As per Ash's order Krokorok used stone and slash Beartic which negated aerial ace that made Beartic fall on the field.
"Beartic can you battle," asked Brycen to which he nodded
Beartic used night slash, Krokorok countered with shadow claw. Then series of exchange of attacks took place and continued for next few minutes.
"This is a battle of sheer strength" said Cilan
Stone edge meet with Icicle crash.Ice beam meet dark pulse. Aerial ace meet with bull doze, Brutal swing meets aeria. Brine attack met with aqua tail. Focus punch meet fire fang which made Beartic engulfed in flames. Krokorok then used brutal swing sending Beartic crashed into nearby ice boulder. Finally Krokorok trapped Beartic using rock tomb and defeated beartic. Krokorok first used earth power then used dig and landed brick break on Beartic. To create distance Krokorok used stone edge and finally used dark pulse to knockout Beartic.
"Beartic is unable to battle, Krokorok wins making challenger Ash Ketchum winner of the freeze badge" said referee
"Nice job Krokorok " said Ash amaking Krokorok happy
"You put up great battle, and as an evidence of your victory I present you the freeze badge," said Brycen
"Hey Brycen, I wish to train with you for next one week, so if you allow," asked Ash
"Why not, I am happy to train with you," said Brycen
"As I promised, I want to give you a pokemon that I caught in Kalos region," said Brycen as he released two pokemon
"This is Bergmite, child of my Avalugg, so are you willing to take bergmite in your team," asked Brycen
"As you see, he is recently hatched from egg and I want him to explore the world ," said Brycen
"Bergmite do you want to be my team member,I promise you will be treated with respect " said Ash after which Bergmite happily nodded
"That's great, I would love to have you on my team," said Ash as Brycen gave Bergmite's pokeball to Ash
"But, why did you decided to give him to me" asked Ash
"As a gesture to help me in putting hunter behind the bars," said Brycen
"Next day Ash and his pokemon started to train with Brycen. Brycen was amazed to see the pokemon Ash owns.For next one week Ash,Cilan and Iris trained their pokemon For next one week Ash trained harder and during that time few of his pokemon evolved.Tranquil becomes Unfezant, Joltik is now a Galvantula, Ralts is now a Kirlia. Ash's pokemon can handle ice type attacks with ease. Hydreigon became friends with Ash and his pokemon and showed great power and willingness to learn and grow stronger.
During training battle Ash's charizard defeated Brycen's Beartic,Vanillish, Cryogonal and Glalie single handedly which impressed Brycen more.
"As I am impressed with the bond you share with your pokemon.I never saw a trainer like you who consider your pokemon your family. I wish you all the best for the Unova league " said Brycen as Ash and his friends bids farewell to Brycen.
One week later Ash and his friends reached Vibrank City gym. After leaving Icirus City Ash came to know that Opelucid city where he came to know that gym is closed.As a result they decided to challenge Vibrank City gym.
Nect day group stops in Stonesthrow Town, Cilan meets little Marigold who is picking out her first Pokémon. Cilan then battled another A-Class Connoisseur named Ricard Nouveau offers up his services instead of Cilan's, and they have a battle to determine who is the better Connoisseur. Cilan defeated it and helped the girl in selecting her pokemon.
The group then meets up with Dragon Buster Georgia who has a Vanilluxe now.
She challenged Iris for a three on three battle in which Iris emerged victorious making Georgia more anger. They all then travelled to the Ferroseed Institute to see the Moss Pokémon Ferroseed being studied.
At the Ferroseed institute an accident happen where the moss they are researching on go out of control. Ash and his friends helped the scientist and solved the issue.
Two days later Ash and his friends arrived at Vibrank City where they catchup woth Luke who is participaring in movie contest. Ash and his friends decided to help him.Ash suggested to use his pokemon in movie and due to which Luke won the contest and thanked Ash for his pokemon's help
For next two day Ash researched on Vibrank City gym and he came to know that it uses poison types.
"Pikachu this is the last gym we are going to challenge" said Ash
"So which pokemon you are going to use," asked Cilan
"Kirlia will be sure as she have ability synchronize. Gliscor, as he has ability poison heal so he will be having advantage over Roxie's poison types. Snorlax's ability immunity will prevent him from getting poisoned. Palpitoad will be another choice if she asked me to battle with more than three pokemon.Swellow will be good as she has ability guts which means attack power will be high. Heracross will be good, as he has guts as well" said Ash
"What an amazing team, I will call this anti venom team" said Cilan
"Anti venom, what a cool name. I think I should form a team to counter gym leader of specific type" said Ash
"So this is a gym," asked Cilan
"It seems like a concert hall," said Ash as they saw a rockstar defeating the challenger.
"Gym leader Roxie wins," declared referee
"Who is next " said Roxie
"That would be me," said Ash as he walked downstairs towards the battlefield
"Ok, you will use six pokemon, while I will battle with three " said Roxie
"Are you sure, " asked Ash
"I am pretty confident, I never loose," said Roxie
"We will see," said Ash as he accepts the condition. Roxie sends her koffing out and Ash sends his Gliscor. Koffing displayed good speed maneuvers
Koffing started with gyroball and strikes Gliscor sending him crashed on battle field.
"Gliscor let's show them our real power, start with stone edge," said Ash
"Deflect stone edge using gyro ball," said Roxie.Gliscor launched stone edge but Koffing deflected stone projectiles by using gyroball and charged at Gliscor.
"Gliscor double team and use, rock polish," said Ash as Gliscor dodged the attack and glowed white
"Koffing use will-o-wisp" said Roxie
"Gliscor use aqua tail to destroy will-o-wisp" said Ash as Gliscor's tail surrounded by water and used it to block will-o-wisp.
"Now use stone edge," said Ash as Gliscor sends stone projectile. Koffing then used Gyroball to deflect stone edge and charged at Gliscor
"Gliscor use earth power on Koffing," said Ash as Gliscor's claws glowed white and then slammed it on incoming gyroball. The power of gyroball and earth power matches equally as Gliscor is trying to stop which in turn results into explosion and injured Gliscor.
"Gliscor are you okay," asked Ash
"Koffing use clear smog" said Roxie
"Dodge and use steel wing" said Ash
Koffing released white smoge from its mouth which Gliscor dodged and charged at Koffing using steelwing.
"Koffing activate gyroball," said Roxie
Koffing started to spin and surrounded by white energy.
"Gliscor use double team," said Ash as Gliscor used double team making Koffing passed through one of his copies.Gliscor then get closed to Koffing and started to assault using brick break making Koffing crashed on the battlefield.
"Koffing use will-o-wisp" said Roxie as Koffing floats back in the air and used fire type attack.
"Gliscor use aqua tail" said Ash as Gliscor used aqua tail to destroy will-o-wisp. Koffing used gyro ball once again.
"Gliscor look out," said Ash as Koffing rammed into Gliscor.Koffing is pushing Gliscor back
"Gliscor I know you can stop it, use double team " said Ash as gliscor vanished before leaving his after image in the air and appeared on different side
"Gyro ball once again," said Roxie
"Not this time, Gliscor use metal claw to stop Koffing, " said Ash as Gliscor's claws glowed silver and extended them outwards. Gyroball connected with metal claw and it started to push Gliscor back but Gliscor used aerial ace and giga impact combo to exert more pressure on Koffing.Gliscor in return started to push Koffing towards the battlefield and then overpowered Koffing. As a result Koffing started to stop and eventually slammed into the field.Gliscor then used fire fang on Koffing which results in to burn. Koffing tried to float back in the air but it becomes target of stone edge and then hyperbeam that dealt greater damage. This made Gliscor very tired.
Koffing then rises back in the air and used gyroball which Gliscor answered with giga impact which results into fainted Koffing
Roxie then sends her Scolipede and Ash sends his Snorlax.
"Snorlax, are you ready to show her what you got," asked Ash to which he nodded
"Wow a snorlax, that so amazing.You truly have one of the amazing pokemon from Kanto. How did you get that, pikachu and Snorlax" said Roxie with sparkles in her eyes
"I am from Pallet town in Kanto, and Pikachu is my starter pokemon and I caught snorlax during my travels through Orange Islands," said Ash
Battle between Scolipede and Snorlax started with Scolipede using sludge bomb which snorlax countered it by sending it back using mega punch. Scolipede then used toxic which snorlax dodged. Scolipede then tried to use dig which Ash ordered tou counter using earthquake.By using earthquake, scolipede thrown out in the air. Snorlax then quickly used mega punch knocking out scolipede
"Nice, you defeated my Scolipede now let's see how you will defeat my final pokemon" said Roxie sending her Garbodor
Battle between Snorlax and Garbodor begun. Garbodor used gunk shot which Snorlax countered with focus blast and used ice beam. Garbodor countered ice beam using venoshock and fired gunk shot again. Snorlax rolled out of the way and used earthquake which dealt some amount of damage to Garbodor and Garbodor in retaliation used venoshock which Snorlax countered with shadow ball but venoshock destroyed shadow ball and hit Snorlax. Ash ordered Snorlax to use rest and then sleep talk. Garbodor fired hyper beam which Snorlax countered using hyper beam as well. Both attacks connected with each other resulting into explosion and smoke. Snorlax then charged in using zen headbutt which hit Garbodor sending it crashed in to the battle field.
Garbodor came back with gunk shot which Snorlax evaded and Ash ordered to use metronome. Metronome selected hypnosis that put Garbodor to sleep.
Snorlax then used hyper beam once again as a finishing move knocking out Garbodor.
"Garbodor is unable to battle, Snorlax wins and the winner of this battle is Ash Ketchum." said referee
Roxie then started to clap and handed Ash toxic badge.
"This proves that you are the winner of Toxic badge. Also I am amazed to see your pokemon's skills. You only used two pokemon and defeated me.I wish you luck for Unova league" said Roxie
"Thanks, your Koffing is very fast I must say," said Ash
"There is some charm in Kanto region," said Roxie
"I think we should leave now, I need to train for the league" said Ash
With final badge in his hands Ash and his friends heads for the Unova league.
