Steven's life began as a survivor in Sonic's World. Throughout the early years, Steven's heard stories about the adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends, who he wanted to be like despite his own flaws. But one day, Chaos Control happens and this caused Steven to meet Sonic, his friends along with new friends who will guide him to be one of the greatest heroes in the world.

dbehi1: Steven! I'm sorry that rotten Eggman set you up and framed you for something you didn't do. But listen, there are others like you who got framed for something they didn't do, I know that the one on Earth (which has lots of heroes other than yourself, Sonic, and the others) known as Super Mario or as his full name Mario "Jumpman" Mario (one half of the Super Mario Bros alongside his younger brother Luigi Mario) was framed by Bowser and his koopas with the help of his son Bowser Jr who used a paintbrush to turn into Shadow Mario and commit crimes that ended up getting Mario in jail and on community service, but he exposed Bowser and his minions' lies and cleared his name defeating them once and for all. (Events of Super Mario Sunshine AKA The Isle Defino Incident) Or Bomberman, the bomb chunking hero from Planet Bomber which is located in the Starry Sky Galaxy, also leader of the Bomberman Bros which consist of himself, and his siblings, in addition to The 5 Dastardly Bombers, MAX Bomber, and Louie, one time he got framed for stealing money which was set up by the Evil Bomberman who had butted heads with Bomberman for some time (Events of Bomberman on TurboGrafix 16, Bomberman 93 also on TurboGrafix 16, & Bomberman 2 on NES) Bomberman had to escape the jailhouse and went through forests, caves, and lakes to clear his name, and he did so after cornering the Evil Bomberman and making him own up and tell the truth to the police. If those 2 could clear their names, then so can you. By The Way Sonic & Steven, I brought reinforcements to aid you (Rockford the little grey and yellow robot from the game Boulder Dash, Inspector Gadget, Penny, & Brain from Inspector Gadget, & Maxwell & Lucy from Scribblenauts run up to Steven and the others) Rockford is armed with pickaxes, giant hammers, and bombs, he can blow up heavy objects and in caves can bury enemies by slamming his hammer down, Inspector Gadget (Real Name: Augustine Tamare) (Known as Gadget Boy in his youth where Heather and K9 looked out for him when he grew up doing missions) has many different gadgets of different shapes and sizes such as Gadget Scooters, Gadget Helicopter, Gadget Gumball, and so on, he can also extend his bionic arms and legs to attack, but he's really stupid and tends to goof off, he's so dumb he can't tell from enemies or allies as he sees them all as enemies regardless, his niece Penny and her dog Brain secretly foil MAD's plans and not even Gadget, (who tells them not to follow him on dangerous missions) his boss Chief Quimby, or even MAD's leader Dr. Claw and his Mad Cat know that Penny & Brain are the ones who foil MAD, so it is advised to have Penny & Brain do their thing of ensuring Gadget surrives as his stupidity could end up being his downfall, by having Penny as spying on Eggman and his new lapdog Shadow, and Brain disguise himself as a Eggman Robot this time as there is no MAD to fight, Maxwell and Lucy on the other hand are gifted even for their young age, they hold a lot of power, Lucy has a globe that can teleport anybody to anywhere via a gold glowing light, while Maxwell has a Notebook that is bound to him and that only he can use, writing anything in it brings things to life, such as animals, people, places, creatures big and small, vehicles, and even make everybody big or small by changing their size. Maxwell's notebook can also be used to give himself a weapon like a sword or a laser gun, grant him the power of flight by giving him a jetpack or a helipack or even a pair of wings, and even increase the strength of others like you, Sonic, and everybody else even Maxwell himself.

Inside Steven's Master Bed room of his Castle Mansion, the alarm clock goes off and Steven quickly turns it off.

Inside the Bathroom, Steven turns on the sink and washes his fair and fur on his head. After a few seconds, Steven brushes his teeth and finishes before turning the sink off. "Alright, time to greet the day" Steven says before he leaves the Bathroom.

Inside the Dining Room, Steven was eating breakfast along with E-77 Lucky who was watching him. E-77 Lucky beeped before Steven looked at him. "That's right, Lucky. Today's the day I'll be able to hopefully find more answers about Project: Shadow. First I'll go get our friends, tell them what's going on and head to the Desert to find Eggman's base and get more answers out of him" Steven says before he finishes and takes his plate towards the Kitchen with E-77 Lucky following him.

Inside the Kitchen, Steven was washing his dishes while E-77 Lucky watched. "Then once we get the answers, we'll head back here and plan our next move" Steven says before he turns off the sink.

Inside the Study Room, Steven was seen looking through the pictures and information on what he's researched on about Project: Shadow. "After we've done our planning, we'll take action from there" Steven says before he looks at a folder. Steven picks up the folder that was tilted "Chaos: The Origins of the God of Destruction". Steven opens the folder and saw all the pictures and information that talked about everything about the entire Chaos/Sonic Adventure Saga. After Steven flips through the pages, he looks at the final picture that used to be a "?", but was changed on the other side of the paper. On the other side of the paper was the conclusion of the Saga with Tikal, the wild Chao and Chaos 0 seen at the Master Emerald Alter. Steven then sighs a bit. "I still can't believe how intense that Adventure was. Feels like yesterday I just saved the Earth from a God of Destruction. Now I'm already going on another Adventure to stop another threat" Steven says before he puts his fingers on the paper and where Tikal is drawn on. "... And I hope you're watching, Tikal" Steven says before he placed his hands on his scars. "Because I'm gonna need yours and everyone else's support" Steven says as he continued looking at his scars.

Inside the Living Room, E-77 Lucky was seen hoping on the couch and turns the TV on. Once the TV turns on, the news comes on. "Good morning, Station Square. We interrupt your local programing to a breaking news story. The Military's Top-Secret Weapon: Project: Shadow has been stolen from the Military Base located on a Deserted Island in the Southern Seas late last night..." the news anchor says from the TV. E-77 Lucky beeps in panic before beeping out loud. This caused Steven to run in the Living Room and go up to E-77 Lucky. "What's wrong, Lucky? Did you see something?" Steven asked before E-77 Lucky pointed to the TV. Steven looks at the TV and saw what happened before looking surprised. "Oh my Chaos..." Steven says before going up to the TV. "Right before the Project was even stolen, a distress call from the Manager claimed that Dr. Eggman..." the news anchor says before it shows a picture of Dr. Eggman. "...Was seen breaking into the Secret Laboratory where the Project: Shadow was currently located and attacked many G.U.N Robots and Soldiers on the way" the news anchor says, "...Eggman really did it. He went to Prison Island yesterday and stole the Project: Shadow..." Steven says before he turns around and puts his hand over his mouth. "Oh great. What's gonna happen now...?" Steven asked, "Moments later, Dr. Eggman reached into the Secret Laboratory and was about to discover the secret. But then more reports have confirmed that Dr. Eggman wasn't alone during the raid as a Hedgehog that is now being claimed as..." the news anchor says before a picture of Steven was seen on the news. This caused E-77 Lucky to beep in panic before pointing at the TV again. "Huh? Wha...?" Steven asked before turning to the TV again and gasped. "...Steven the Hedgehog was seen helping the evil scientist finish up the job. Dr. Eggman and Steven were last seen encountering one of G.U.N's Top Military Giant Fighting Robots before making their escape off the Island" the news anchor says before the picture of Steven disappears. "I... I don't understand... Who...? What...? How...?" Steven asked, "Officials have announced that they will take action in this change of course. Steven the Hedgehog will be captured and taken in for questioning once he is sustained. If anyone spots Steven the Hedgehog in Station Square today, please do not hesitate and call immediately. This is SSTV News Reporting to you live from your local programming hour..." the news anchor says before Steven grabbed the remote and turned off the TV. Steven and E-77 Lucky stood silent before Steven slowly backs away from the TV. "No... This can't be... Me... As a criminal... But I..." Steven says before there was a loud bang at the front door off screen. This made E-77 Lucky to jump and beep in panic. This also made Steven jump a bit before turning towards where the front door was located.

In the Parlor, the bangs on the front door continued. "Steven, open up! This is an Official Arrest Interrogation order! We know your in there! You are under arrest! Open this..." a man says from the other side of the door off screen as Steven slowly walks towards the door while clenching his fist. "Door and put your hands up in the air now!" the man says from the other side of the door off screen as Steven slowly looks through the peep hole of the front door. Steven saw a Military cargo bob behind some G.U.N Soldiers aiming their rifles at the door, some hiding on the sides from the view of the peep hole, one holding a battering ram, one looking like he was about to kick the door and the one up front that Steven assumed is the one knocking on the door. "We're gonna give you 3 seconds to open this door or we're busting ourselves in!" the G.U.N Soldier says off screen as Steven was slowly backing away from the front door.

Back inside the living room, E-77 Lucky got scared while Steven was slowly going up to him. "We know you're listening through, Steven! Open this door or else you'll regret it!" the G.U.N Soldier says off screen while Steven slowly picks up and carries E-77 Lucky before exiting the room.

Back in the Parlor, Steven carried E-77 Lucky upstairs while still looking at the door. "Alright then, Steven! You asked for it! If that's how your gonna act, we're busting in on 3..." the G.U.N Soldier says off screen as Steven and E-77 Lucky open up the attic staircase. Steven and E-77 Lucky quicken their paced and climbed up the attic ladder.

Inside the Attic, Steven and E-77 Lucky were making their way towards a window. "...2..." the G.U.N Soldier says off screen as Steven opens the window. "...1!" the G.U.N Soldier says off screen as Steven and E-77 Lucky jump out the window.

Outside of Steven's Castle Mansion, Steven and E-77 Lucky land on the roof until the sound of a door busting down was heard loud.

Back inside the Parlor, the G.U.N Soldiers began to raid Steven's Castle Mansions. "Go! Go! Go! Find the suspect and put him down immediately!" the G.U.N Soldier says. The G.U.N Soldiers began to destroy everything inside Steven's Castle Mansion with their rifles, kicks, punches, smashes and throws.

On the roof of Steven's Castle Mansion, Steven and E-77 Lucky heard the noises while looking around. "They're not playing around... So much for making themselves at home..." Steven says before looking at E-77 Lucky who was beeping scared. "I've gotta get Lucky out of here before they do something that I'll regret forgiving... Hmm... Maybe Lucky can find Sonic and tell him what's going on. It's the only chance I got and the only one I got right now" Steven says in his head before hearing a sound of a window shattering. Steven looks towards where the window shattering was from and saw that it come from the window he and E-77 Lucky exited from. "He must be on the roof!" a G.U.N Soldier says off screen before Steven gasped and looked back at E-77 Lucky. Steven then placed his hands on E-77 Lucky's shoulders and E-77 Lucky looked at him in confusion. "Lucky, listen. You might not like this, but I need you to get out of here" Steven says before E-77 Lucky beeps in shock. "I know, I know, Lucky, but we don't got time to take second chances! Listen, I need you to go find Sonic and tell him what's going on! Tell him I've been taken captive by G.U.N and flying in a cargo bob! Please, Lucky, you're the only one who can save me right now!" Steven says as E-77 Lucky had tears in his eyes. Steven then hugs E-77 Lucky and pats his back. "Please, Lucky. Go find Sonic and hurry" Steven says before a sound of a latter was heard. Steven turns around and saw a ladder that leads to the roof. Steven then turns back to E-77 Lucky. "Hurry, Lucky! We don't have time!" Steven says before a few seconds, E-77 Lucky nods and wipes it's eyes. "Atta boy, Lucky!" Steven says before E-77 Lucky flaps it's wings above it's head. E-77 Lucky was about to leave before looking back at Steven a bit. Steven nods before waving his hand forward. E-77 Lucky nods and began to fly away from Steven's Castle Mansion. "Good luck, buddy" Steven says before a sound of a rifle click was heard. Steven looks a bit surprised before putting his hands behind his head as the G.U.N Soldiers were all aiming their rifles at him. "Don't make a move..." the G.U.N Soldier says before pointing forward. "Grab him!" the G.U.N Soldier says off screen while Steven continued looking forward as he hoped E-77 Lucky would make it

At Station Square, Sonic was seen running on the streets. "Hmm. I wonder what Steven's doing right now. Maybe I should pay him a visit and see if he want's to spend the day with just the two of us" Sonic says before E-77 Lucky beeps off screen. "Huh?" Sonic asked before skidding to a stop. Sonic looks around before looking up. Sonic saw E-77 Lucky flying towards him. "Hey, that's Lucky!" Sonic says before E-77 Lucky lands in front of Sonic. "Hey there, Lucky" Sonic says before patting E-77 Lucky's head. "What are you doing out here by yourself?" Sonic asked before E-77 Lucky beeps too fast. Sonic looked a bit confused before raising his hands up. "Whoa, whoa! Slow down, buddy! What's wrong?" Sonic asked before EE-77 Lucky beeps slowly and began to make sign languages. Sonic then slowly tried to understand. "Huh...? What's that...? You came by yourself because...? G.U.N...? At Steven's Castle Mansion...? Steven sent you to me..." Sonic says before he gasped. "Steven's been arrested by G.U.N!?" Sonic asked and E-77 Lucky beeps while nodding his head and having tears in his eyes. "What even happened?" Sonic asked as E-77 Lucky beeped in panic. "Steven arrested? For what? Steven hasn't done anything wrong. Why would G.U.N arrest him if he's working under the President?" Sonic asked before clenching his fist and looking serious. "Well whatever it is, something's not right and I'm gonna get Steven back" Sonic says in his head before E-77 Lucky. "Lucky, do you know where G.U.N has taken Steven?" Sonic asked before E-77 pointed upwards. This caused Sonic to also look up. "Up there! They're probably flying in a chopper or something. Hmm" Sonic says before looking back at E-77 Lucky. "Lucky, listen. I'm gonna need you to fly me up to find the chopper Steven's in. I'm gonna bust him out and we're gonna figure this out together" Sonic says as E-77 Lucky looked at him nervously.

13:27 Above the capital city

In the skies above Station Square, the Military Cargobob was seen flying with the sun shining. "Attention, control. Sigma-Alpha 2 is currently heading due south over the city. Suspect is in custody and there are no issues on route, everything's a go" a pilot says off screen.

Inside the Military Cargobob, two G.U.N Soldiers piloting the Military Cargobob. "This is Control tower speaking. We've verified your position of your aircraft on radar. Handle captured Hedgehog carefully. He's a handful little guy, over!" the Operator says from the speakers off screen as there were also some G.U.N Soldiers in the back along with Steven who's hands were cuffed and also had an annoyed look on his face. One of the G.U.N Soldiers then turns his head towards Steven. "You're awful quiet" the G.U.N Soldier says before Steven turns to him. "So? Is there a problem with that?" Steven asked, "Well, from what I heard, you caused quite a real ruckus over at Prison Island the other night. Now you're suddenly well behaved that we can't get two words out of ya!" the G.U.N Soldier says, "Yeah? Well then maybe you should buy yourself a pair of glasses because obviously you're looking at the wrong Hedgehog!" Steven says before a G.U.N Soldier across from him stands up while holding his rifle. "You better watch that..." the other G.U.N Soldier says before Steven turns to him. "...Smart mouth, hedgehog or else we'll do something that you'll regret! Just because you're working for the President, doesn't mean anything if you're on our watch list! So get comfortable and shut up because we've got a long way to go before we reach our destination!" the G.U.N Soldier says before Steven grunts while looking at the floor. "Mmm" Steven says, "I hope Lucky found Sonic..." Steven says in his head.

Back in the skies above Station Square, E-77 Lucky was seen flying while Sonic was holding onto the legs like he did back before Reversed Chaos Control happen. Sonic looks around a bit before he noticed something. Sonic noticed the Military Cargobob that Steven was in. "That must be it" Sonic says before looking at E-77 Lucky. "Lucky, straight ahead!" Sonic says before E-77 Lucky beeps and flies towards the Military Cargobob. Once Sonic and E-77 Lucky reached the Cargobob. Sonic and E-77 Lucky jump and land on one of the wings closest to the door. "Alright, Lucky. You better get outta of here because things might get rough once I open this door" Sonic says before E-77 Lucky clasped it's hands and beeps at Sonic. "Don't worry. Steven will be fine. Now get going" Sonic says before E-77 Lucky jumps off and flies down towards Station Square. Sonic puts his hand on the handle before taking a deep breath.

Back inside the Military Cargobob, the door was suddenly opened and this caused Steven and the G.U.N Soldiers to shield themselves from the strong breeze. Steven slowly uncovers his eyes to see Sonic. "Sonic!" Steven says before Sonic waves at him. "Hey, Steven! Long time no see!" Sonic says before the G.U.N Soldiers noticed him. "It's Sonic!" a G.U.N Soldier says, "What do you think you're doing here, Sonic!?" another G.U.N Soldier asked, "Sorry for letting myself in, guys, but me and Steven have somewhere to be so if you don't mind, I'll be taking him off your hands" Sonic says before another G.U.N Soldier stands up. "If you think we're gonna let you get away with him, you're sadly mistaken, Hedgehog!" the G.U.N Soldier says before Sonic smirks. Steven saw this and looked at back at the G.U.N Soldiers. "Oh boy..." Steven says in his head.

Back in the skies, the Military Cargobob continued flying. "That's a 10-4. Cargo secured on board and were scheduled to arrive in 30 minutes..." the Pilot says off screen before sounds of punching was heard with men grunting and speaking indistinctly off screen. "Get up!" a man says off screen, "What?!" the Pilot asked off screen, "Didn't copy that! W-What's goin' on up there?" the Operator says from the speakers off screen.

At the Military Cargobob, the Operator continues off screen. "What happened? Come in, over!" the Operator says from the speakers off screen before the doors open to reveal Sonic. Sonic then jumps and lands on the wing before turning around. "Sheesh! How did you even end up here?" Sonic asked as Steven was seen jumping and landing on the wing while still having his hands cuffed. "Talk about low budget flights with no food and movies. I'm glad I got you out of here!" Sonic says before Steven grunt and rips the chain from the cuffs. Now Steven's hands were loose, but still had the cuffs on his wrist with the two halves of the chains hanging. "Yeah, I guess you can say that!" Steven says before he and Sonic look down at Station Square. "Well we gotta get the jump on these fly guys because I like running better!" Sonic says before Steven looks at the wing. "You read my mind" Steven says before he uses his strength and rip out two pieces of metal off the wing. Steven then looks at Sonic while holding the two pieces of metal that were now makeshift boards. "But why don't we change things up a notch, huh?" Steven asked and Sonic chuckles.

Back in the skies, Sonic and Steven we're about to jump. "St-Steven has escaped! Sonic's taken out everyone aboard and... What in the world!?" the Pilot asked off screen before Sonic and Steven jump off the Military Cargobob. "Freeze! Hey, what do you think you're doin? Come back!" the Pilot says off screen.

Sonic and Steven were then seen on the makeshift boards while spinning around in the sky with Steven upside down. "Woo!" Sonic and Steven said at the same while they were getting close to the ground of Station Square.

At a Skate Park, some children were seen riding their skateboards while the rest were watching. "Whoa!" a boy says as he noticed something.

Back with Sonic and Steven, they were seen still diving through the air while still on the makeshift board as they had full control over them. "Oh yeah!" Sonic and Steven said at the same time.

Back at the Skate Park, Sonic lands and slide down the section the children were at. "Sorry, dudes~!" Sonic says, "Catch ya'll on the flip side!" Steven says as he was still on his makeshift board before Sonic hops off his makeshift board and they both run off together.

City Escape

At the global military room, a radar map shows a bird's eye view of Station Square on the big monitor screen. "Attention all units, Suspect located and is currently heading south!" An Operator says off screen before the radar map zooms in as it shows a green blur indicating Steven's current location. "Deploy G.U.N robots to block all major roads and capture the suspect immediately!" another Operator says off screen, "Roger!" a man says off screen.

Back at Station Square, the civilians were doing their normal errands before Sonic was seen running on the streets with Steven skidding on the streets while riding the makeshift board. "Well that was... Eventful" Steven says as he looked forward. "Tell me about it. Jumping down from a high level area is one thing, but making an Escape from the City is another" Sonic says, "This day began with a lot of confusions, my friend" Steven says, "Yeah. Speaking of confusion, why were G.U.N arresting you anyway? I thought they were on your side" Sonic says, "I know, but I... I don't even know where to begin with this" Steven says, "Well what happened earlier? Because I know Lucky told me a little, but I know there's more to this misunderstanding. So what's up?" Sonic asked, "Well this might sound crazy but... Huh?" Steven asked before he jumps off his makeshift and lands on the ground while noticing something. This caused Sonic to stop and look at Steven. "What's wrong?" Sonic asked before Steven points forward. "We got G.U.N Beetles at 12 o clock above" Steven says before Sonic looks up a bit. "Oh!" Sonic says as he and Steven saw a group of Gun Beetles flying towards them. Sonic then turns to Steven a bit. "Let's get out of here!" Sonic says before he and Steven turn around and run in the other direction. The Gun Beetles began to fire while Sonic and Steven tried dodging the fire power. One of the Gun Beetle's fired at a traffic light and this caused the traffic light to explode. Another Gun Beetle fires at a red car and this caused the red car to also explode. Another Gun Beetle fires across three different buildings and this caused the top of the three buildings to explode as well. Sonic then looks downward a bit. "Uh-oh..." Sonic says before he looks forward again. "...They mean business...!" Sonic says, "It's too dangerous around here! We've gotta loose them somehow!" Steven says before Sonic looks to the left.

At an alley way, Sonic noticed the alley way and grabs Steven's hand. "Whoa!" Steven says before he and Sonic rush into the alleyway. Sonic opens a man hole lid before he and Steven drop in. The man hole lid closes while the Gun Beetles continued flying forward on the streets.

Underground in the sewage, Sonic and Steven were walking before Sonic makes a grossed face. "Ugh... Could we possibly sink any lower?" Sonic asked while Steven covered his nose. "That's an understatement, but at least we lost them for now" Steven says before Sonic looks turns his head to him. "So are you gonna tell me what's going on now?" Sonic asked before Steven sighs. "Alright... I'll tell you what I know so far, but like I said, it's gonna sound crazy so bare with me" Steven says and Sonic nodded as he and Steven continued walking through the sewage.

With Chris, he was seen walking on the sidewalk with boy. The boy then turns to Chris. "Hey, Chris, I heard you come from Station Square" the boy says, "Er-... yeah" Chris says, "Have you ever seen the real Sonic and Steven the Hedgehogs up close?" the boy asked before Chris sweat-drops a bit. "Er, Sonic and Steven?" Chris asked before he looks up to the left. "Well... sorta..." Chris says, "What're they like? Are they really an unstoppable duo?" the boy asked before Chris turns to him. "You bet they are!" Chris says before he looks up in the sky. "Sonic's faster than anybody and Steven's filled with surprises... They're nicer than anybody, too. They're probably busy right now though" Chris says, "Wish I could meet them too" the boy says while chuckling off screen, "I'm sure you can!" Chris says off screen before he and the boy stop walking and look at each other. "Who knows? If I'm lucky, maybe I'll get to see them and I'll introduce you to them some day. Well, I gotta get to class" the boy says as he was about to turn around. "Later!" the boy says while waving before running off. Chris then waves back. "S-See ya!" Chris says before he looks up a bit while looking sad. "Sonic... Steven... We will see each other again soon, right?" Chris asked in his head.

On the highway, the President's Limousine was seen driving through.

Inside the President's Limousine, Christina was reading papers before looking forward. "Mr. President, it appears our undercover operative by the code name "Director," has settled into his new mission and will have all of the parties to be cooperative if necessary" Christina says, "Good work. And what about the case from earlier?" the President asked before Christina looks at the papers again. "Well, sir, I've read from the full report... There was some nearby damaged buildings and stores, but from I can gather, none of the citizens were harmed in any way" Christina says, "And what about Steven, is there any new information...?" the President asked, "I'm afraid it doesn't look good. There was a big commotion and with a crime of this magnitude, sir, I'm not sure the government should remain silent over this any longer" Christina says, "I know, but still" the President says before he looks down a bit. "I've known Steven for awhile and he's done nothing but good for the people and our Planet. He's like a son I never had and I am extremely grateful to have him with us, but there's just no possible reason he would do this..." the President says, "I agree with you, sir. This must be some kind of mistake" Sam says off screen, "Huh?" the President asked as he turns towards the driver's seat. "Steven would never do such a thing to betray us. I think he's been wrongly accused, Mr. President. Since you're the leader of this country, I think you should do something about it and don't let that get to your head!" Sam says, "Er... Right!" the President says, "Either way, there's no telling what's gonna happen next. We should wash out hands of Steven just to be safe" Christina says before the President turns to her. "Do you really think that's a good idea...?" the President asked, "Yes, sir" Christina says before the Limousine gets put in an emergency stop with tires screeching. This caused Christina to gasped and fall off her seat with the papers flying around. Sam was seen looking from the rear window while Christina goes up to the driver's window. "Are you crazy!? What are you trying to do!?" Christina asked, "A kitten ran by, so I'm trying to do my job. "Be the best wingman in history."" Sam says.

Back in the Sewage, Steven finished telling Sonic what's been going on and Sonic looked a bit surprised. "And that's what now leads me to being on the run" Steven says, "Man, I don't know what to say. So Eggman's up to no again? Why am I not surprised he would strike eventually?" Sonic asked, "I know, but I don't understand how I was involved with what he was doing. All I've been doing is helping the citizens in Station Square and suddenly the President needed my help once again. He gave me a mission to figure out what exactly is Project: Shadow and I've been trying to find many sources as possible, but with what I had so far wasn't enough. I was just about find more clues until all this happened..." Steven says before he slowly stops walking, causing Sonic to stop. "Now that I'm a wanted criminal... I don't know where I'm gonna go from here" Steven says before Sonic puts a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry, buddy. We're gonna figure this somehow. The best thing to do right now is to lay low until the heat dies down. After that, we'll see what happens then, alright?" Sonic asked while Steven looked at him and sighs. "I suppose so" Steven says, "Besides, don't beat yourself up yet" Sonic says before Steven looks a bit surprised. "You've always Trusted your own feelings on how everything worked out and look what's happened since. You've been doing a lot of good deeds and learned many new things from it too. It's all about Living and Learning everyday from a life style and I know you can still do it, Steven. Remember that" Sonic says as Steven still looked a bit surprised.

20:22 Desert area

Sand Ocean

At a Desert area called Sand Ocean at night, Dr. Eggman was seen inside his Egg Mobile looking at a Tall Pyramid that was also known as his Hidden Base. "Those idiots will never find my hidden base inside this pyramid. Let's take care of business here first. Then get inside" Dr. Eggman before he flies towards the Pyramid.

At the Station Square National Museum, it was quiet.

Inside the jewelry room, there was the Green Chaos Emerald in the middle of the room as it was shining on the spotlight with a glass tub and fence around it. Suddenly, a reflection of the Hedgehog that has the same shape from the silhouette Hedgehog figure from Prison Island was suddenly seen.

Back outside of the Station Square National Museum, the alarms began to blare. The Hedgehog was then seen running away from the area. Suddenly, a group of Mono Hawks were seen flying towards the ground. The Hedgehog stops as he saw that he was now surrounded by the Mono Hawks.

Inside one of the Mono Hawk's point of view, it takes aim at the Hedgehog.

Back outside of the Station Square National Museum, the Hedgehog lets out an evil laugh while smiling evilly. All the Mono Hawks then began to fire towards the Hedgehog. As they fired, the Hedgehog jumps and dodges the fire power for a few seconds before stopping. The Hedgehog then raises his hands up and releases a fiery energy wave out. As the fiery energy wave flies out, this caused all the Mono Hawks to explode. After a few seconds, the Hedgehog runs off and makes his way towards Station Square.

At the White House, it was also night time.

Inside the President's Office, the President was seen sitting at his desk with Christina standing and the Commander talking to the President. "Mr. President, I have some bad news. Steven was just seen at the National Museum of Art attempting to steal the Chaos Emerald" the Commander says, "It can't be!" the President says, "My men are awaiting your instructions, sir" the Commander says, "We have no choice. Switch to a public investigation" the President says before the Commander salutes. "Yes, Mr. President. I'll alert all departments immediately, sir" the Commander says before he walks out. The President then turns around and looks out the window. "Steven... Why...?" the President asked.

Back at the global military room, a blue x-ray image was seen on the big monitor. "Attention, all division commanders. Steven the Hedgehog has gone underground. Send out the Beetles troops and get him!" the Commander says.

At Prison Island, a bunch of Gun Beetles were seen flying out.

Inside Dr. Eggman's Hidden Base, Decoe and Bocoe were seen looking at the monitors before Dr. Eggman walks in. Decoe and Bocoe then turn to him. "Doctor, you made it back!" Decoe says, "We were beginning to worry! Did you find anything?" Bocoe asked, "Not recently, but almost" Dr. Eggman says before sitting down. "Hmm... With the Chaos Emerald... in the space colony ARK. Hmm... I've got to find out just what's going on up there" Dr. Eggman says in his head before he types on a keyboard. Suddenly a beep was heard as there was a notification. "Doctor, something just popped up!" Decoe says, "I think it's the news" Bocoe says, "Well let's see here" Dr. Eggman says before he clicks on a key.

Outside of the building of Chris' rental apartment, the lights were on through the windows.

In the living room of the rental apartment, Ella, Cheese, Cream, Chris and Chuck were seen sitting on the couch while Mr. Tanaka was standing as they were watching the news. "We interrupt this broadcast for an important breaking news flash" the reporter says off screen before it shows her inside the jewelry room of the Station Square National Museum. "I'm standing in the main pavilion of the National Museum of Art, where earlier tonight, a thief broke through..." the reporter says from the TV.

Back inside Dr. Eggman's Hidden Base, Dr. Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe continue to watch. "...Security and stole a priceless..." the reporter says off screen before Dr. Eggman slams his hands against the table. "The Chaos Emerald!" Dr. Eggman says.

On TV, the reporter continues. "...Chaos Emerald. Authorities found these images in tapes confiscated from the museum's security cameras" the reporter says. A video then pops up and shows the Hedgehog looking at the Green Chaos Emerald from inside the glass tube. The Hedgehog suddenly punches the glass tube and this caused the glass tube to shatter. This also caused the alarms to blare along with a bright light surrounding the camera. Once the light dies down, it shows the Hedgehog looking at the camera while smiling evilly before running off.

Back in the living room of the rental apartment, Chris, Cream and Cheese looked shocked. "Was that Steven!?" Chris asked before Cream and Cheese look at him. "It can't be!" Cream says before Chris looks at her. "Steven's not a thief!" Cream says, "Chao, chao, chao, chao, chao!" Cheese says.

Back on the TV, the video repeats of the Hedgehog punching the glass.

Back in the living room of the rental apartment, Chuck watched the TV carefully. "...Yeah, right! That was Steven on those security tapes! He looks exactly like him!" Chuck says before Chris, Cream, Cheese, Ella and Mr. Tanaka surround him in anger. This caused Chuck to get nervous. "It can't be, grandpa!" Chris says, "He was framed, Master!" Mr. Tanaka and Ella said at the same time. "That's right, Chuck!" Cream says, "Chao, chao!" Cheese says, "Uh...!" Chuck says before he sweat drops, closes his eyes and raises his right hand up. "...Okay, sorry! Maybe it wasn't him. I guess you can't always believe your eyes! Still, they look so similar!" Chuck says.

Back on TV, the reporter continues. "Surprisingly enough, according to authorities at the scene, they have determined from this footage that the thief may be identified as one of the world renowned heroes, Steven the Hedgehog. According to reports, Steven has destroyed numerous reserved G.U.N Hawks in his path and has fled the scene..." the reporter says.

Back in the living room of the rental apartment, Chris looked worried. "...To an unknown location" the reporter says from the TV off screen.

Back inside Dr. Eggman's Hidden Base, the news continues. "Stay tuned for more details" the reporter says from the TV off screen before Dr. Eggman slams his fist at the table. "Sounds more like the work of Shadow!" Dr. Eggman says.

Back inside the living room of the rental apartment, Chris continued to look worried. "But there... There must be some kind of mistake! Steven wouldn't... Never!" Chris says before he closes his eyes and groans. "Of course he wouldn't, Mr. Chris! I'm sure there are some explanations" Ella says, "Hmm" Mr. Tanaka says as he nods his head.

Back outside the rental building, Chris was seen walking up to the window. Chris then placed his hands on the window.

Back inside the living room of the rental apartment, Chris speaks. "Steven. What's happening?" Chris asked.

At a sewer entrance in Station Square, a fire zap was seen shooting at the entrance fence. The entrance fence then explodes before the Gun Beetles fly in the sewer.

At another part of Station Square, another fire zap was seen shooting at a man-hole. The man-hole cover pops out from the explosion and more Gun Beetles fly in.

At another part of Station Square, another fire zap was seen shooting at a closed door from a small stair case. The door explodes with the staircase fence dented and the Gun Beetles fly in.

From afar where the Gun Beetles were flying, the Hedgehog was seen on top of a building looking at the Gun Beetles fly. The Hedgehog that's been causing trouble recently is known as the Ultimate Lifeform: Shadow the Hedgehog. "Hmph. How pathetic!" Shadow says.

Back underground in another section of the Sewers, Jerome along with a few homeless men were seen sitting around a makeshift fire place. Jerome was also looking at a man that was filing his finger nails. "Ah, what are you, stupid or something'? Steven ain't no thief!" the man says before he looks at Jerome. "You guys don't understand. I became like this because of Sonic. Sonic is my-... No- This god of misfortune! I'm really not making this up!" Jerome says before he placed his right hand on his chest. "I saw it on a TV in a repair shop window!" Jerome says before he raises his hand up. "Would I lie to you?" Jerome says before he clenches his hand a bit. "No! I tell you, they saw Steven steal the thing!" Jerome says before he puts his hand down. "Hey!" the man says while making a fist. "And not only that, there are rumors going around that they caught him breaking into Prison Island just last night!" Jerome says before he makes a fist. "Redhanded! That place is G.U.N's Top Secret facility and he's probably trying to steal government secrets!" Jerome says before the guy he was talking to roughly grabs him by the shoulders. "Keep talking, you prick!" the man says before Jerome fights back by grabbing the man's shoulders. "What are you doing!? Let go of me!" Jerome says before sounds of sirens were heard off screen from an exit ladder. "Vivian and I-..!" the man says off screen, "Don't make fun of Vivian and I!" Jerome says off screen before he and the man stop and look up towards the exit ladder. Suddenly from afar, Sonic and Steven were seen running towards Jerome and the homeless men. Sonic and Steven ran pass them and this caused Jerome and the homeless men to exclaim while Jerome lays a bit on the man he was talking with. Jerome and the homeless men continue watching Sonic and Steven run while the Gun Beetles were following their path. This caused Jerome and the homeless men to shield themselves while exclaiming at the same time. Steven then looks behind a bit. "I hope those Gun Beetles didn't start firing because I just saw some homeless people there!" Steven says, "They'll be fine! We've gotta get out of here!" Sonic says.

Back at Prison Island, it was quiet.

On the highway section of Prison Island, a white car was seen driving with Mr. Stewart driving and Scarlet in the passenger seat. Once the white car reached the blocked front entrance of Prison Island, it breaks to a stop.

Inside the white car, Mr. Stewart and Scarlet continued looking forward. "How did you manage to get permission for me to report Prison Island?" Scarlet asked, "Well, let's just say I have connections in high places so we'll be fine" Mr. Stewart says before he reaches something in his suit.

Outside of the white car, Mr. Stewart steps out a bit and shows his badge at a surveillance camera. The surveillance camera zooms in on the badge before beeping. The doors that lead to the building of Prison Island opens.

Back inside the white car, Scarlet looks at Mr. Stewart. "Who are you exactly?" Scarlet asked before Mr. Stewart looks at her. "Just a fellow news hound, that's all" Mr. Stewart says.

Back outside of the white car, the white car drives forward towards the building.

Inside an Office of Prison Island, Mr. Stewart and Scarlet were seen sitting while looking at the Manager from his desk. There was also a big TV next to the manager's desk. "Have you ever heard of a government operation called Project: Shadow?" Scarlet asked, "I'm afraid that's top secret and I can't share any information with you. However, after last night, I'm not sure how much longer it will stay secret to specific people" the Manager says before he looks towards the TV while holding a remote. "Take a look..." the Manager says before he presses a button. Mr. Stewart and Scarlet then look at the screen of the TV. "This is..." the Manager says off screen as the TV showed a big government robot that was known as B-3x Hot Shot walking. "...Secuirtycam footage from the incident last night. As you can..." the Manager says off screen.

On the TV, it shows B-3x Hot Shot facing Dr. Eggman and Shadow inside the old laboratory while Dr. Eggman spoke silently. "Eggman and the Hedgehog have broken..." the Manager says off screen before Shadow talks silently with Dr. Eggman looking at him. "...into the system, and they're to steal..." the Manager says off screen before Shadow jumps while charging at B-3x Hot Shot. "...The Project: Shadow..." the Manager says off screen before it shows Shadow punching B-3x Hot Shot by the glass window. "...File" the Manager says off screen.

Back inside the Office, the Manager continues. "This videotape makes it clear as day" the Manager says before he turns back to Scarlet and Mr. Stewart. "Steven is no longer concerned with the safety of our citizens and has decided to join forces with Eggman to steal the secrets of Project: Shadow. He has us all fooled, didn't he?" the Manager asked, "What happens next, sir?" Mr. Stewart asked, "Quite simple, we arrest him and try him for high treason" the Manager says, "But you tried that already and he got away just like that" Mr. Stewart says, "Even at the costs of G.U.N's honor, we will do what ever it takes to capture Steven again!" the Manager says. The TV then shows a red paused video Shadow looking at the camera.

At Down Hill Street of Station Square, a manhole lid flies out with smoke rising from underground. Sonic and Steven pop out and go up in the air while Sonic grabs the manhole lid. Then suddenly, a bunch of Gun Beetles fly out from underground. Sonic then positions himself while still holding onto the manhole lid and dives down with the manhole lid facing forward. This caused the Gun Beetles by the manhole lid on the way down. Once Sonic lands on the ground, he puts the manhole lid back on before looking at the readers with grunts. "That was an easy game of tag!" Sonic says before Steven lands next to him. "Yeah, well it won't be so easy now they know that we're fighting back. Let's go this way" Steven says as he was about to run. Suddenly, a bright light appears and this caused Sonic and Steven to look up. "Oh!" Sonic and Steven said at the same time as they noticed a giant government robot that is similar to B-3x Hot Shot. The giant government robot lands on the ground as it was known as F-6t Big Foot. Steven then sighs. "A Combat Walker. Just our luck" Steven says before Sonic smiles a bit. "Hmph! It's finally decided to show up. eh? Well we can't hang around, big guy, sorry" Sonic says before he holds up a power ring in his right hand. "We'll give you a ring sometime, what do ya say?" Sonic asked.

F-6t BIG FOOT - Ground/Air Combat Walkers

Back at Down Hill Street, F-6t Big Foot was locking its aim at Steven. "This is Fighter troop Big Foot reporting to Headquarters! Intruder has been located!" F-6t Big Foot says, "Copy that" a woman says from the speakers off screen before F-6t Big Foot marches towards Sonic and Steven while firing it's turret. "OK then, bring it on!" Sonic says before he and Steven dodge and jump away from the fire power a few times. "It's useless! We can see all of your bullets!" Sonic says, "They're really determined to stop us!" Steven says before he and Sonic jump up. Once Sonic was in the air, the fist that had the power ring glows. After the power ring glows, Sonic forms into his spin dash. As Sonic was about to attack F-6t Big Foot, he went passed it in between the upper missile cannons and destroyed the flashlight on top. Sonic lands, stops spinning and looks at F-6t Big Foot. "Now that's what I call a tight squeeze!" Sonic says before Steven lands next to him. "Looks like we'll have to improvise!" Steven says before F-6t Big Foot turns around and faces Sonic and Steven. "This is fighter troop Big Foot! Big Foot to Headquarters over! In engaged the enemy! Request back up!" F-6t Big Foot says before Steven then turns to Sonic. "I'll distract it and you finish it off!" Steven says, "Okay!" Sonic says before F-6t Big Foot activates the missiles from above and firing them towards Sonic and Steven. Sonic and Steven separate with Sonic running up a building along with missiles locking on to him and Steven running around F-6t Big Foot. "Hey! I'm the one you want! Come at me!" Steven says. F-6t Big Foot activates it's rockets from underneath it's legs and begins to hover. F-6t Big Foot began to fly after Steven before firing it's turret towards him. "This thing sure is packing a lot of heat!" Steven says. Once Sonic was high enough, he wall jumps off the building as the missiles continued locking on to him. "Woohoo!" Sonic says before he lands on top of F-6t Big Foot and jumps off quickly. This caused the missiles to get in contact with F-6t Big Foot with explosions as they blew up. "What!? For just two Hedgehogs!?" F-6t Big Foot asked before descending down towards the ground with smoke flying from it's body. Steven moves out the way before F-6t Big Foot crashes on the ground with an explosion and smoke flying everywhere. Sonic and Steven land from afar while looking behind where F-6t Big Foot exploded. "That guy's gotta work on his aim a little bit!" Sonic says before Steven stands up. "We've caused enough trouble for one day. Now the IRS is definitely gonna be on to us for what we just did!" Steven says before Sonic looks at him while standing up. "Relax, Steven. We've been through this before. This is nothing new" Sonic says as he and Steven didn't notice the smoke slowly clearing from the destroyed F-6t Big Foot. "Nothing new? Sonic, they see both of us as the Villains now. It's bad enough I'm already a criminal in their eyes to begin with. What else could possibly go down hill for us?" Steven asked before a sudden bright light appears from the top of the destroyed F-6t Big Foot. Sonic and Steven then noticed the bright light. "Whoa!" Sonic and Steven said at the same time before they face the light above the destroyed F-6t Big Foot. "Where's that light coming from?" Steven asked. Once the light dies down, it revealed Shadow making an apperance and standing on top of the destroyed F-6t Big Foot. Sonic and Steven then looked a bit surprised. "Huh? W-What the...?" Sonic asked, "Who's that?" Steven asked, "Good evening. I must say it's a pleasure to finally meet you both face-to-face, Sonic and Steven" Shadow says before he looks at Steven. "Hmm. We really do look alike in physical form, Steven. Like a reflection, of a shadow. It's uncanny!" Shadow says while Steven looked a bit surprised. "Look alike? What's this guy talking about and how does he know our names? More importantly, why does he suddenly look familiar? Unless..." Steven says before he gasped a bit.

Inside Steven's head, the second figure from his dream 3 months ago was next to Chaos 0 and the appearance looked exactly like Shadow.

Back to reality, Steven looked a bit serious. "...He must be the Hedgehog I saw in my dream along with Chaos and that robot figure. That means he's another threat..." Steven says in his head, "Wait a minute! Now I know what's going on! It's you that the Military has been mistaken Steven for! You've been causing a ruckus and gettin' him in all this hot water because you've been acting like him lately! You fake hedgehog!" Sonic says before he was about to leap towards Shadow as Steven looked at him in surprised. "Sonic, wait!" Steven says as Sonic didn't listen and leaped towards Shadow. Shadow watched Sonic before he suddenly disappears. Sonic lands on the destroyed F-6t Big Foot before he and Steven look around in confusion. "Huh?" Sonic asked, "He's gone!" Steven says.

Back at the Office of Prison Island, Mr. Stewart looks closely at the pause video of Shadow looking at the camera. "Hmm. It certainly looks like Steven, but he's black. No... This guy isn't Steven. Is Eggman behind this? Or... Is this someone's trap?" Mr. Stewart asked in his head.

Back at Downhill Street, Sonic and Steven were walking and looking around. "Where did he go?" Steven asked before he and Sonic stop. Suddenly, Shadow's silhouette was seen. "Huh?" Sonic asked while he and Steven look up. Sonic and Steven saw that Shadow was on top of a building. "No way. How did he get up there so fast?" Steven asked

On top of the building Shadow was on, he looks down towards Sonic. "I assure you, Sonic. I'm not a fake Hedgehog. I possess far too much power to be anything but the real thing! If anything it could be you that's the real fake out of the three of us!" Shadow says.

Back on the ground, Sonic and Steven continued looking up towards Shadow. "Well, if you're so powerful, let's see you prove it" Sonic says before he runs up the building Shadow was standing on. "If it's true that he's that powerful, then there's no mistake that wasn't his actual speed. He's probably holding back his real power just so he could test our own strength. If that's the case, then this guy is far stronger than anyone we have fought and Sonic won't stand a chance against him... Just who the heck is this guy?" Steven asked in his head as he continued looking at Shadow.

Back on top of the building Shadow was on, Shadow disappears before Sonic lands on the building. Sonic turns around before looking up. Shadow snickers as he was seen on top of a higher building across from the one Sonic was on.

On top of the higher building Shadow was on, Shadow looks at Sonic. "Hey, not bad! I'm almost impressed! How about a little race action to see if you can keep up with me?" Sonic asked before he jumps off the building he was on and towards the ground. Shadow saw this jumps off the building he was on and towards the ground as well.

Back on the ground, Steven saw Sonic and Shadow's blur run on the streets. "I think it's time for me to join the action!" Steven says before he runs after Sonic and Shadow. Sonic, Shadow and Steven were eventually seen running neck by neck with Sonic and Steven running and Shadow skating. Sonic was running in the middle, Shadow was skating on the left and Steven was running on the right. Steven then looks down at Shadow's skates. "I shouldn't be surprised. He's about as confident as they look" Steven says in his head.

Back in the living room of the rental apartment, Chris was looking at Chuck who was on the phone on the couch. "You're kidding! Unbelievable! Well, be sure to call us right away if anything else happens" Chuck says before he hangs up the phone and looks at Chris. "That was Nelson. Apparently Sonic and Steven have been spotted battling a G.U.N robot on Down Hill Street" Chuck says before Chris gets up off the couch and runs, catching Chuck by surprise. "Ah! Chris, where are you going!?" Ella asked as she and Mr. Tanaka watch Chris run. Mr. Tanaka then looks towards Chuck while bowing a bit. "I will follow him..." Mr. Tanaka says before Ella looks at him in surprise."Master Thorndyke" Mr. Tanaka says before he runs after Chris. "Slow down!" Chuck says off screen before Ella looks at Chuck who also ran after Mr. Tanaka and Chris. "I'll come with you!" Chuck says as Ella continued to watch.

Back at Downhill Street, Sonic, Shadow and Steven continued running and skating on the streets with Sonic looking towards Shadow a bit. Shadow was about to shove Sonic on the right, but Sonic jumps out the way and runs on Shadow's left with grunts while Shadow looks at Sonic. Steven then noticed Shadow was next to him on the left. "He's tougher than I thought he was!" Sonic says in his head, "Ha! Think you can beat me, you sore loser?" Shadow asked, "What'd you say!?" Sonic asked before he runs ahead of Shadow and Steven. Shadow then quickens his pace. "Not quite" Shadow says before he and Sonic go neck and neck again with Sonic looking forward and Shadow looking at Sonic. "Persistence much, huh?" Steven asked before he quickens his pace. Shadow then turns to Steven who was running neck on neck as well. "Well, it's about time you caught up. I would have expected much more from you if we're really alike" Shadow says, "You haven't seen anything so don't underestimate us just yet!" Steven says. From afar, Chuck's car was seen driving towards them as Chuck, Chris and Mr. Tanaka saw what was going on. As Sonic, Shadow and Steven continued running and skating, Shadow suddenly disappears. Chuck's car skids to a stop with tires screeching before Sonic and Steven stop running. Sonic then exclaims. "What are they doing here?" Steven asked before he sensed something. "Sonic, behind you!" Steven says before he jumps away as Shadow kicks Sonic from behind. This caused Sonic to groan while crashing to the ground. Sonic opens his eyes and turns around. "What just happened?" Sonic asked before Steven lands behind him. "A sneak attack!" Steven says. Suddenly from above the action, a small robotic ball shaped ball was seen.

Back inside Dr. Eggman's Hidden Base, Dr. Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe were watching the surveillance of Downhill Street, Chuck's car, Sonic, Shadow and Steven on multiple monitors with Dr. Eggman sitting on his chair. "Sonic's a bit overwhelmed, isn't he? I certainly can't blame him. I felt rather confused myself when I encountered Shadow for the first time. I thought he was Steven for a second!" Dr. Eggman says.

A flashback shows Dr. Eggman inside the secret laboratory in Prison Island typing on the control center with beeps and Shadow being seen sleeping inside the glassed chamber. The chamber opens up and lets out steam. After a few seconds, Shadow slowly rises from the chamber before opening his eyes. Dr. Eggman then backs away. "What? It- It's Steven! How dare you spoil my plans again, you little slimeball!" Dr. Eggman says before he backs away a bit. "Wait a minute, you're not..." Dr. Eggman says before Shadow walks up to him. "...Steven! You're..." Dr. Eggman says as Shadow stops in front of him. The steam clears out before Shadow closes his eyes and bows. "My name is Shadow. You've awakened me from a state of suspended animation and I am very grateful. To show my gratitude..." Shadow says before he opens his eyes and looks at Dr. Eggman. "...I will grant you your one wish, my master" Shadow says before Dr. Eggman exclaims. "Oh my~" Dr. Eggman says before the alarms go off along with robotic footsteps being heard. "Huh? Now what?" Dr. Eggman asked before he looks to the left. Dr. Eggman saw B-3x Hot Shot marching towards him and Shadow. "Argh-! Bad timing..." Dr. Eggman says before B-3x Hot Shop stops. "...As usual!" Dr. Eggman says, "Wait, I will show..." Shadow says before Dr. Eggman looks at him. "...You the true power I possess, Master!" Shadow says before skating towards B-3x Hot Shot with Dr. Eggman watching.

B-3x HOT SHOT - Heavy-Armed Combat Walkers

Back in the secret laboratory, B-3x Hot Shot was about to take action. "This is Scorpion troop Hot Shot! Enemy unit has been detected! En route to intercept and destroy!" B-3x Hot Shot says, "Copy that" the same woman's voice says from the radio off screen before B-3x Hot Shot took action towards Shadow. Shadow also took action against B-3x Hot Shot by punching, kicking and spinning at it a few times. "This is Scorpion Troop Hot Shot! The enemy is stronger than expected! Request additional support!" B-3x Hot Shot says before Shadow finishes it off by punching B-3x Hot Shot by the glass. "He is too strong!" B-3x Hot Shot says before exploding with smoke flying everywhere while Shadow lands. Shadow then looks towards where B-3x Hot Shot exploded. "Hmph. Pathetic humans" Shadow says before standing up and looking towards the exit to the secret laboratory. Dr. Eggman then slowly walks towards Shadow while coughing a bit. "Destroying that guard robot was spectacular!" Dr. Eggman says before stoping behind Shadow. "So Shadow. YOU are the military's top secret weapon? But what did you mean when you said you will grant me a wish?" Dr. Eggman asked, "Bring more Chaos Emeralds" Shadow says before he began walking out of the secret laboratory. "Shadow, wait!" Dr. Eggman says before Shadow stops and turns towards Dr. Eggman a bit. "I'll be waiting for you in the central control room on the space colony, ARK" Shadow says before he looks away and continues walking out. "ARK?" Dr. Eggman asked before Shadow eventually left the room.

Back to reality, Dr. Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe continue looking at the monitors. "You've met your match, Sonic! Compared to Shadow's fancy footwork, you're as slow as a mound of molasses! And now that you two have gotten a bit better acquainted, you're sure to see that for yourself first hand!" Dr. Eggman says before he laughs a bit. Dr. Eggman then looks at the monitor that had Steven on it. "Hmm. Steven hasn't shown any signs of backing down just yet. Perfect. If he's that confident so much, then he may as well go all out on Shadow. Not that he actually will since he has problems with his own power, but I'm really looking forward to how this will play out! Go on, Shadow! Show Steven that he'll have to fight fire with fire!" Dr. Eggman says.

Back at Downhill Street, Sonic, Shadow and Steven look at each other with Sonic still on the ground, Steven standing behind Sonic and looking at Shadow and Shadow was holding something that looked like an Emerald gem while looking at Steven. Steven then noticed the Emerald gem in Shadow's palm. "What's that in your hand?" Steven asked, "A little present I picked up not too long ago. Now it all starts with this..." Shadow says before he shows that the Emerald gem was the Green Chaos Emerald as it sparkled. "A jewel containing the ultimate power..." Shadow says before Steven gasped. "He's got a... Chaos Emerald!" Chris says before Sonic stands up. "Where'd you get that Emerald, ya phony freak!? Hand it over!" Sonic says before he runs towards Shadow. The Green Chaos Emerald glows in Shadow's hand before they both disappear. Sonic stops and looks up before Shadow reappears from behind Sonic while looking at him from the side. "I've heard you can..." Shadow says before Sonic turns to him a bit. "...Do better than that, Sonic! If you don't light a fire under those feet, you'll never get this emerald back. That just shows I overestimated you" Shadow says, "Just because you have a Chaos Emerald, doesn't mean anything if you don't know how to use it!" Steven says before Shadow turns to him. "Wanna bet?" Shadow asked while Steven grunts. Sonic jumps up and positions himself before he charges towards Shadow head first. Shadow disappears just as Sonic landed. "Wow... He really is faster than I am!" Sonic says, "But that's not his speed! He must be using that Chaos Emerald to warp himself everywhere!" Chuck says, "Whoa!" Chris says, "Yeah? Well if he's only gonna rely on a Chaos Emerald, then this would be the perfect time to strike!" Steven says before he looks around. "Hey! Stop hiding and come out, you coward Where are you!?" Steven asked before Shadow was seen on top of a street light while looking downwards. "Right behind you" Shadow says before Steven looks up to where Shadow was. "You think just because you can teleport, means you're unbeatable? Don't make me laugh" Steven says, "You may find it child's play, Steven, but that's not all. I'm full of surprises and this one of them!" Shadow says before Chris looked at him. "Grandpa!" Chris says, "What surprise?" Steven asked, "This!" Shadow says before he raises the Green Chaos Emerald up. "Chaos Control!" Shadow says before the Green Chaos Emerald glows and this caused Shadow to disappear. This made Steven gasped. "No way! He knows how to do Chaos Control!?" Steven asked. Sonic then ran on the streets of Downhill Street.

In a black background, Sonic continued running. "He can cause Chaos Control..." Sonic says in his head before a big image of Shadow appears from behind him. "...With just one Chaos Emerald? Who on Earth is he...? And where did he come from...?" Sonic asked in his head.

Back at Downhill Street, Sonic continued running before Shadow appeared next to him while skating. After a few seconds, Sonic tries to kick Shadow, but Shadow dodges by lowering his head. Once Shadow saw the opening, he began to rapid punch Sonic on the stomach a few times with Sonic grunting. Shadow then punches Sonic on the face and does a kick to him as well. Steven and Chris then faced forward a bit as he saw this. "Leave him alone!" Chris says, "Sonic!" Steven says. Sonic was seen on the ground before turning his head while groaning. "Like to..." Sonic says as Shadow walks slowly to him. "...Fight dirty, don't ya...!?" Sonic asked, "Consider yourself fortunate" Shadow says before he stops walking. "If I'd..." Shadow says as he raises his right fist up. "...Have taken off these Inhibitor Rings, you would have been dead" Shadow says before he takes a step closer to Sonic. "Hold up!" Steven says off screen before he goes behind Sonic and gets in front of Shadow. "If you think you've just won, you're obviously mistaken, pal!" Steven says, "Steven..." Sonic says. Shadow slowly crosses his arms. "Well isn't this interesting. Of all the times you've decided to step in, you chose the exact moment I was about to finish off your friend. How pathetic" Shadow says, "Pathetic? Look who's talking. If anything, it's obvious we both know who's the real pathetic Hedgehog around here" Steven says as Shadow frowns a bit. "You think just because you can control Space and Time with a Chaos Emerald, makes you ruler of everything? No, it doesn't. That's not how it works around here. In fact, it makes someone who's so greedy for power an egotistical brainiac like yourself" Steven says before Shadow grunts a bit. Sonic, Chris, Chuck and Mr. Tanaka looked a bit surprised. "It's obvious you're someone that posses an incredible amount power, but since you think so highly of yourself, I'd say that power of yours is just a potential waste" Steven says before Shadow growls. After a few seconds, Shadow closes his eyes for a bit and opens them while chuckling evilly. "Consider yourself lucky, my friend. Not everyone has the bravery to talk back at someone who has the upper hand in battle" Shadow says before Steven slowly clenches his fist. Sonic, Chris, Chuck and Mr. Tanaka felt things were getting a bit tense. "Just so you know. I am well aware of what you're actually capable of and I must admit, it's impressive to say the least. And that's coming from the one who shares a similar level of power. It's no wonder these humans have been mistaken me for you" Shadow says before Steven shuffles his feet a bit. "We both possess an enhancement of power that nobody in the world has ever come across with. I would think of that as an honor for the both of us. Not long after anyone discovers their new form of power, their skills of a mighty being are always tested everyday in life. There are those who can easily adapt to the awoken power and there are those who can't handle the full extent of it. Much like you do, Steven. In other words, you're completely outclassed!" Shadow says, "Yeah? Well I may not know the true extent of my real potential, but I've been doing just fine without it. I'm grateful for what I'm already capable of. Besides..." Steven says, "Hmm?" Shadow asked, "...Maybe a natural outclassed user can surpass an manipulative adaptive user if they put their minds to it" Steven says before Shadow chuckles evilly a bit. "That's some confidence you got there, but I'm afraid it's time for me to show you that that over confidence in battle..." Shadow says as he began to get in his fighting position. "...Is on the brim to your death!" Shadow says before Steven grunts and gets in his fighting stance. Sonic slowly stands up and backs away towards Chris, Chuck and Mr. Tanaka as they watch Shadow and Steven about to fight. Chris then looks at Sonic. "Sonic, you think Steven has a chance of winning this?" Chris asked, "To be honest, Chris, I don't know. All I know is that this battle could go in different directions" Sonic says, "Either way, the best thing to do now is to stay out of the way and hope Steven wins" Chuck says, "Two Hedgehogs, One prize. Who will be the victor?" Mr. Tanaka asked, "Steven..." Chris says as he looked worried. Shadow and Steven continued to stare down at each other as they waited for the perfect time for one of them to strike. The robotic shaped ball from before was now monitoring both Shadow and Steven.

Back inside Dr. Eggman's Hidden Base, Dr. Eggman looked a bit anxious as he saw Shadow and Steven on the monitors. "Hmm..." Dr. Eggman says.

Back at Downhill Street, Shadow and Steven continued looking at each other and stayed in position. Suddenly, a sound of a debris hits the ground, causing Steven to grunt in surprise. After the sound, Steven instantly charges forward towards Shadow while letting out a battle cry. Shadow watched Steven rush towards him before bringing his arms up and defend his face. Steven does his spin attack and it was suddenly blocked by Shadow's fists. This caused Shadow and Steven to skid on the streets. Shadow smirks evilly as he saw this. As Shadow and Steven continued skidding, Shadow swings his arms out, causing Steven to stop spinning and get pushed back. Once Steven recovered a bit, he charged back at Shadow and tried throwing punches, but Shadow mostly dodges them as they continued skidding. After Shadow continued dodging, he positions his foot and kicks Steven back. Steven grunts as he got pushed back before recovering and running towards Shadow again. Steven then went back to throwing punches at Shadow before Shadow began blocking them with his fists. "You're not half bad, but you'll have to do better than that!" Shadow says before he punches Steven on the face. Steven grunts before quickly recovering. "I'm just getting started!" Steven says before he throws more punches at Shadow while Shadow does a back flip. Once Shadow was on his hands, he positions his two feet and kicks Steven on the stomach. Steven yells as he gets pushed back before Shadow throws a kick to Steven on the head. Shadow then delivers a stronger kick and this caused Steven to go flying away. Shadow then skates after Steven before jumping and doing his spin attack. Steven quickly recovers and tries to stop himself from flying by doing a few front flips. Once Steven lands on the ground, he saw Shadow spinning close to him before running. Steven quickly does his spin attack and both he and Shadow traded blows with their own spin attacks. After a few seconds, Steven stops spinning and tried to punch Shadow, but Shadow dodged and slaps Steven's fist out of his way. Shadow jumps away from Steven and skates off. Steven then quickly saw where Shadow was going. "Where do you think you're going!?" Steven asked before he quickens his speed and goes after Shadow. Once Steven reached Shadow, Steven gets in front of Shadow and this caused Shadow to stop. Shadow then narrows his eyes a bit. "His instincts are supered!" Shadow says in his head before Steven was about to punch him, but Shadow used his right fist to block Steven's fist. "Maybe he isn't all talk and actually knows how to fight after all!" Shadow says in his head before he throws Steven's fist away. Shadow and Steven then began to spin, punch, kick and dodge each others attacks, causing blows to happen in the process.

With Sonic, Chris, Chuck and Mr. Tanaka, they watched the battle in surprise. "It seems Steven is holding himself well against that Hedgehog" Mr. Tanaka says before Sonic turns to him. "Don't forget. Steven's been through many battles and has learned a lot over time" Sonic says before he turns back towards the battle between Shadow and Steven. "He's adapting as he fights like he did with Chaos before" Sonic says, "If that's true, then shouldn't he have already won by now?" Chuck asked, "Yes, but that's not the case here. Normally whenever Steven is in battle, he studies his opponents strength and weakness as he fights so that he could find the perfect time to attack. But in this case, he's gonna have a hard time because that Hedgehog's obviously got a couple of tricks up his sleeve and Steven might not be ready to react on time" Sonic says before Chris gasped a bit. "Then we've gotta help him!" Chris says, "No. Not yet. We've gotta wait until Steven starts getting tired, but from the way I see it, it's probably gonna take awhile" Sonic says a bit nervously.

At the battle between Shadow and Steven, Shadow and Steven traded another blow with their fists. Shadow tried punching Steven with his other fist, but Steven quickly blocked it with his other fist. Steven tried punching Shadow, but Shadow quickly shielded himself before getting flown up in the air. Once Shadow was in the air, Shadow positions his fist together and slams Steven downwards. This caused Steven to get pushed towards the ground before he quickly safely lands with a thud. Steven then runs up a building before performing a wall jump towards Shadow. Shadow prepared himself, but suddenly, Steven goes behind Shadow and punches him on the side. This caused Shadow to go flying towards the ground with Steven following.

Back with Sonic, Chris, Chuck and Mr. Tanaka, they continued to watch. "Come on, Steven..." Chris says.

Back at the battle, Shadow and Steven get into a fist lock as they tried to get off of each other's grip while grunting. Suddenly, Shadow's hands began to glow and this got Steven's attention. "What the!?" Steven asked before he tried to pull out of Shadow's grip, but Shadow continued to hold his grip on Steven's wrists. Suddenly, Shadow brought Steven up close. "What's wrong, Steven!? Is that all you got or are you just getting warn out?" Shadow asked before he head-butts Steven. Steven got stunned before Shadow releases his grip from Steven's fist before punching Steven. Steven grunted as he crash and skids on the ground with Shadow following. Steven picks himself up and uses his hands to stop himself from skidding. Shadow than lands in front of Steven while chuckling. Steven slowly stands up and positions himself while smirking and panting. "Impressive. We've just begun to fight and already his speed and technique have far surpassed my normal. I don't know why, but I'm suddenly getting excited. I hate to say it, but it looks I may need a power boost after all" Steven says in his head, "Now show me. Show me that true strength you've been hiding all this time" Shadow says, "You want to see my true strength!? Fine!?" Steven says before he positions himself. As Steven positioned himself, he began to growl and a strong breeze began to spread. This caught Shadow a bit surprised as he felt getting pushed back a bit. "Come on, Body...!" Steven says in his head before he lets out a yell. After Steven yells, he quickly zooms towards Shadow. As Steven got close to Shadow, he quickly gets behind Shadow and was about to throw Shadow off with a punch, but Shadow quickly reacted and backed punch him. Steven got sent flying a bit before he quickly recovers. Steven was about to charge until Shadow appeared next to him and kicks him down to the ground. Once Steven hits the ground, Shadow quickly kicks him across the street before going after him. Steven saw Shadow getting close before he quickly picks himself up. Shadow tried punching Steven, but Steven does a few back flips away from him. As Steven was about to do another back flip, Shadow quickly rushes to him and kicks Steven. As Steven was about to recover, Shadow instantly punches Steven again. Steven quickly jumps up and wall jumps from a building and tried to punch Shadow, but Shadow dodges the punch and grabs Steven's face. Shadow flips Steven a bit before punching Steven. Steven gets pushed back before he tried to punch Shadow again, but Shadow kicks Steven away. Once Steven lands, he was about to charge at Shadow, but Shadow quickly punches Steven on the face and Steven tried his best to take the punch. "What's going on with me!? Why am I getting sloppy!? I thought I would have gotten a power boost from that concentration! Come on!" Steven says in his head, "If that's the effort you were trying to throw at me, then I'm disappointed!" Shadow says. Steven grunts as a strong breeze begins to hit and he slowly makes a fist. Once Steven makes a fist, he managed to punch Shadow on the stomach. This caused Shadow to get pushed back before Steven goes after him. Shadow managed to stop himself, but Steven instantly appears in front of him and throws a punch before Shadow uses his hands to block it. This caused Shadow and Steven to skid and fly. "Now he's suddenly putting more effort into his attacks!? Is this the power the Doctor told me about?" Shadow asked in his head as he and Steven continued skidding and flying. After a few seconds, Shadow stops himself and he and Steven began to trade blows with their own punches, spin attacks, kicks and blocks for a bit. Steven eventually punches Shadow on the stomach and Shadow gets pushed back. Steven was about to go for another punch, but Shadow quickly blocks it with his fist. Suddenly, Steven grabs Shadow by the head, but Shadow quickly kicks Steven out the way and pushes him back. Shadow and Steven then began to clash with their spin attacks.

Back with Sonic, Chris, Chuck and Mr. Tanaka, they felt the blows coming from Shadow and Steven's spin attacks. "This is getting too dangerous! Steven's gonna tire himself out a lot quicker now!" Chuck says while Sonic grunts.

Back at the battle, Shadow and Steven continued throwing blows from their spin attacks until Shadow stops. Shadow then raises his hand. "Chaos Spear!" Shadow says before Chaos Spears began to form around and charge towards Steven. Once the Chaos Spears were close to Steven, this caused Steven to get pushed back and stop spinning. Steven saw there were more Chaos Spears heading towards him and he quickly evades them as much as possible. Suddenly, Shadow appears and uses his foot to hold Steven down on the ground. Steven grunts before opening his eyes and gasping. Shadow sends Steven a glare and this got Steven to pant in panic. Shadow raises his hand to Steven's face began to fire some Chaos Spears. Steven tried to block the Chaos Spear, but this caused him to get dragged back a bit. Shadow takes a few steps away from Steven and fired more Chaos Spears at Steven. This caused Steven's guard to be broken and get pushed back intensively. Steven grunts before he slowly gets back up and charges at Shadow again. As Steven got close to Shadow, he tried throwing punches, but due to excessive damage and energy drain, he was beginning to get really sloppy. As Steven got sloppy, all Shadow did was just dodge all the punches. After a few seconds, Steven holds back a punch and was about to deliver a stronger punch, but suddenly, Shadow grabbed Steven's fist. Shadow held Steven's fist firmly before looking at him with a glare. "Pathetic. This battle has gone off long enough to become a waste. This isn't the battle I wanted. The Doctor told me that you'd be at your best against me, but it seems I proved it wrong" Shadow says before he tightens the grip on Steven's fist. This caused Steven to grunt while having his eyes half closed. "I won't be satisfied until you're at your peak. Next time, you will get a taste of my true power" Shadow says before he tightens the grip on Steven's fist even greater, causing Steven to close his eyes. "But until you prove to me that you're a worthy opponent..." Shadow says before he puts his mouth close to Steven's ear. "...You are nothing to me" Shadow says before opens his eyes wide and gasped. Shadow uses his other hand which was glowing to punch Steven really hard on the face. Everything around Steven felt like slow motion as he yelled. "I won't be satisfied until you're at your peak. Until then... You're nothing to me..." Shadow says in Steven's head as it echoed. Everything goes back to normal and Steven was seen skidding intensively on the ground while yelling. After a few seconds, Steven comes to a stop in front of Sonic, Chris, Chuck and Mr. Tanaka with smoke flying. "Steven!" Sonic, Chris, Chuck and Mr. Tanaka said at the same time. Once the smoke slowly clears, Steven was seen with burnt marks, scraps, blood and dirt all over him. Steven grunts as he slowly opens his eyes to see Shadow walking towards him. Sonic quickly goes up to Steven while glaring at Shadow. "Haven't you had enough fighting dirty already!? He's done!" Sonic says, "Of course he's done. I thought it be best if I gave you information before I take my leave" Shadow says before Steven looks at Shadow a bit. "Many years ago, Professor Gerald Robotnik endowed me with the power of Chaos Control. I am the single and most powerful being known as the world's ultimate life form in existence. A normal creature like yourself doesn't stand a chance against me" Shadow says before looking towards Steven a bit. "Especially a wasteful one" Shadow says before Sonic narrows his eyes a bit while scoffing. "Don't underestimate us normal types. Besides, Steven's already adapted to what you're capable of and he won't make the same mistake next time!" Sonic says, "I know he won't because I'm sparing his life. When he wakes up, tell him he'll need all strength he'll need if he ever wants to get a chance against me. When the day comes that he's at his very best, then we will finally settle the score" Shadow says. Suddenly, sirens were wailing from afar. "Hmm" Shadow says as he looks behind a bit before looking back at Sonic and Steven. "I have a feeling I should make myself scarce. Farewell, Sonic. It certainly was a great pleasure!" Shadow says before he pulls out the Green Chaos Emerald. "Wait..." Steven says weakly before Shadow looks to see Sonic helping him sit up a bit. "Before you go... Tell me... Who are you...?" Steven asked before Shadow slowly turns around "...My name is Shadow..." Shadow says before he looks back at Steven a bit. "...Shadow the Hedgehog..." Shadow says as Steven looked a bit surprised. "Chaos Control!" Shadow says before the Green Chaos Emerald glows in his hand. Sonic and Steven block their eyes from the light coming from the Green Chaos Emerald. "Kuu!" Sonic says before Shadow disappears with the light slowly dying. "Shadow... What is he?" Sonic asked, "Shadow...?" Steven asked before police cars were seen getting closer towards Sonic and Steven along with a chopper and a group of Gun Beetles. Flashes of light than surround Sonic and Steven. "Not again!" Sonic says before Steven's widen. "Steven!" Officer Albright says off screen as Sonic sets Steven down nicely, stands up in front of Steven and looks at the Police. "Don't move! Stay where you are! We've got you completely surrounded! You're under arrest! Put your hands up in the air and obediently come with us!" Officer Albright says off screen as the Police were surrounding Sonic and Steven. "Hold on! You can't arrest him! He didn't do anything! We saw what really happened! Honest!" Sonic says before the Gun Beetles lower themselves a bit. "Stay out of our way, Sonic or we'll arrest you too!" Officer Albright says before he looks towards Steven. "Now, Steven. I'm gonna give you till the count of five to make your decision or I'll arrest both you and Sonic!" Officer Albright says before he looks at his watch. "Ready? One, two..." Officer Albright says off screen while Sonic grunts. "Three..." Officer Albright says off screen, "Stand back..." Chris says off screen before Sonic turns around. "Sonic!" Chris says off screen, "Four..." Officer Albright says off screen, "Huh?" Sonic asked, "And..." Officer Albright says off screen, "Steven's already in trouble, just do what they say and step away! If you fight back, then..." Chris says before Sonic groans while smiling. "Please, Sonic!" Chris says before tears fell from his eyes. Officer Albright then steps forward while looking towards Chris, Chuck and Mr. Tanaka. "All of you! Please step away from that beast! An animal like that must be placed into special quarantines! He's really dangerous!" Officer Albright says, "Wait!" Steven says off screen before Sonic and Officer Albright turn to him. "If it's me that you, then that's fine... But please don't do anything to my friends... They had nothing to do with all of this... It was all me..." Steven says, "Steven..." Sonic says in surprise before Steven turns to him. "Sonic, please don't try to fight back. I don't want you to get in trouble either" Steven says, "But Steven..." Sonic says before Steven cuts him off. "I know, Sonic, but there's no point in arguing now. I'll be fine. I just got a lot to think about and I need it for myself. Please... Just let them do their jobs" Steven says. Sonic looked hesitated before smiling. "Okay, Steven. If it's okay with you, then it's okay with me" Sonic says before he and Steven do a Fist Bump. "Time's up! Sonic, you are under..." Officer Albright says before he was cut off with Steven looking at him. "It's okay, Officer Albright! He's gonna back away now!" Steven says before he turns back to Sonic. "I'll see you guys later" Steven says before Sonic nods and takes a couple of steps away from Steven. "Alright, now let's move! We got a special cell over on Prison Island with your name on it!" Officer Albright says before Sonic looks at Officer Albright. "Wait, did you just say Prison Island?" Sonic asked while Steven looked a bit surprised. "Yeah, what about it?" Officer Albright asked, "Really? You mean that's where you're taking Steven from here?" Sonic asked, "That's where we usually take criminals and we've already made preparations for him" Officer Albright says before Sonic looks at Steven with a surprised look. Steven nods his head before Sonic slowly nods back. Sonic and Steven then look back towards Chris while Sonic raised his right hand up. "Chris, Steven's gonna do it. He's gonna turn myself in" Sonic says and Steven nods. Sonic and Steven then turn back to Officer Albright and the cops. "All right, guys, cuff him. He surrenders so he's all yours" Sonic says before he takes a few steps back and Steven raised his hands up in surrender. "Hmm" Officer Albright says as he points forward. "Get a hold of him!" Officer Albright says before Sonic walks forward and brings his hands up a bit. "Only, just take it easy with him, fellas! He's had a long rough day" Sonic says, causing Steven to look embarrassed. Sonic puts his hands down and begins to walk away while looking serious. "You might use Chaos Control, friend, but I'm gonna have to get Steven out of this without tricks. I'll do it. Somehow! And when I do, we'll meet again and I'll finish the job for Steven and fight you head on. You got that, Shadow?" Sonic asked in his head, "If these guys actually take me to Prison Island, then I may be able to get more answers. I knew there was something about that Hedgehog. It's clear that he's known as the Project: Shadow since they have the same name. Shadow, if you're listening, then just wait. You may have won this time, but don't worry. I have a feeling we'll meet again soon... And when we do... I'll be ready for you!" Steven says in his head. After a few minutes, Steven was seen walking while his wrists were cuffed with another set of cuffs. Chuck, Mr. Tanaka, Chris and Sonic watched with Chris, Chuck and Mr. Tanaka looked shock and worry and Sonic stayed serious. Steven was then being taken to the chopper with a Cop holding him on a leash. Steven and the cop stop before they look towards Sonic, Chris, Chuck and Mr. Tanaka. Steven waves at them before he and the cop make their way inside the chopper. Sonic then turns to Chris. "Don't worry, Chris. Steven'll be fine before you know it, buddy" Sonic says as Chris still had tears in his eyes. "I hope so, Sonic..." Chris says before looking up a bit while whimpering as sounds of the propeller spinning from the chopper was heard.

On top of a building, Shadow was seen watching the chopper that Steven was taken in fly away. "I won't let anyone stand in my way" Shadow says in his head before looking down to where Sonic, Chris, Chuck and Mr. Tanaka were on the ground. "Least of all you, Sonic" Shadow says before he looks back at the chopper that was seen flying from afar. "...And especially you, Steven. Isn't that right... Maria" Shadow says in his head.

Egg Quarters

With Rouge, she was seen at the front entrance of the Pyramid while holding onto a radio. "This is Rouge. I've located Eggman's base and will proceed to enter it now" Rouge says before she puts the radio away. "Hah... Now how am I going to get in without being too suspicious?" Rouge asked before she noticed something. Rouge saw Bokkun sitting on the staircase before smiling.

Back at Dr. Eggman's Hidden Base, a yellow banquet ball was seen. "Yippie!" Dr. Eggman says offf screen before the yellow banquet ball bursts with cheers being heard off screen. Shadow was seen standing on an upper platform while Dr. Eggman cheers and Decoe and Bocoe watch. "We did it! We did it! We really did it!" Dr. Eggman says before he forcefully shakes Shadow's right hand. "Steven's in the hoosegow thanks to your hard work, Shadow! You did it!" Dr. Eggman says, "He is practically busting his buttons!" Decoe says, "Of course! It's his first victory! But I'll admit, that jacket always was tight around the tummy!" Bocoe says, "Remember, Doctor, you must still obtain five more Chaos Emeralds in order to reactivate the Eclipse Cannon. Once you have that, then you have ultimate power of destruction to use as you please. And then... that will make you the master of this world" Shadow says before raising his fist up a bit as Dr. Eggman was facing away from Shadow while having his arms up. "What...? Oh my, that's right! Sounds..." Dr. Eggman says before facing Shadow. "...Good to me! I like the way you think Shadow! I will get the Chaos Emeralds, use the machine to dominate the world and build a legacy of my own" Dr. Eggman says before Shadow puts his fist down and Dr. Eggman crosses his arms. "And now to hash out the rest of our dastardly strategy! Let's see" Dr. Eggman says before Bokkun flies up to everyone while holding a TV. "Doctor, I have..." Bokkun says before Shadow looks at him. "...A message for you..." Bokkun says before Dr. Eggman turns to him. "...This time from our guest! Here" Bokkun says and laughs as he throws the TV towards Dr. Eggman. This caught Dr. Eggman by surprise while exclaiming before he catches the TV and looks at it. The TV turns on and shows Rouge looking forward while holding roses in her hands. "Hiya, Dr. Eggman, long time no see. I was wonderin' if we could get together to discuss a little business transaction if you would be so kind and let me in" Rouge says from the TV as Decoe, Bocoe and Bokkun also watch the TV. "A business transaction?" Decoe asked, "I would not trust her, Doctor!" Bocoe says, "Who asked you, bolt brain?" Dr. Eggman asked before he looks at Bokkun. "Fetch her..." Dr. Eggman says before Decoe looks at him. "...Right away!" Dr. Eggman says before Bokkun looks at him and Decoe looks back at the TV. "Uh-oh...!" Decoe says before sounds of beeping were heard, causing Dr. Eggman, Bocoe and Bokkun to look at the TV. "Oh?" Dr. Eggman asked, "Here we go" Bocoe says.

Outside of Dr. Eggman's Hidden Base that was inside a Pyramid, Dr. Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe scream while Bokkun laughs off screen as the area shakes. After a few seconds, the shaking stops. "That's not funny!" Dr. Eggman says off screen, "Don't blame me! Lots of stuff on television bombs!" Bokkun says before laughing off screen, "You say that as if you really watch TV" Decoe says off screen, "My memory chip thinks otherwise" Bocoe says off screen

Back inside Dr. Eggman's Hidden Base, back smoke was slowly clearing up before Rouge hops down on the ground while still holding the roses. "This is such a noisy place. I just hope this little scam of mine works" Rouge says before she stands up and walks forward. Rouge stops walking before Dr. Eggman suddenly stops in front of her as he was seen in dirty dust all over. Dr. Eggman then jumps back. "Oh!" Dr. Eggman says before he bents down forward a bit towards Rouge. "I didn't expect you so soon, Mademoiselle!" Dr. Eggman says, "Good evening, Doctor. I have a little something I'd like to show you" Rouge says before she closes her eyes and reaches her right hand in the roses. Rouge pulls the object out and shows it to Dr. Eggman as it revealed the object was the Blue Chaos Emerald. Dr. Eggman then looks at the Blue Chaos Emerald. "A Chaos Emerald...!" Dr. Eggman says, "I may not look like it to everyone else, but as you already know, I'm a treasure hunter that specializes in all kinds of jewels. It's all yours, Eggy. If you agree to my conditions. All you have to do is be a good boy and play nice, and I'll tell you where the others may be if you let me borrow that radar. What do you say, Doc, do we..." Rouge says before she turns to the right. "...Have a deal?" Rouge asked as she was looking at Shadow. "Huh" Shadow says before closing his eyes and turning away from Rouge. "That depends. What do you want?" Dr. Eggman asked off screen.

At a nightly desert background, an image of a blonde woman was seen.

Back to reality, Shadow was seen having his eyes opened with Decoe and Bocoe looking at him, Rouge having her eyes closed and Dr. Eggman looking forward. "Very well" Dr. Eggman says, "Okay! Pleasure before business then!" Rouge says before she opens her eyes and looks at Shadow. "Who's this charming friend of yours? I'm Rouge the Bat. But you can call me Rouge. What's your name?" Rouge asked, "It's Shadow" Shadow says before turning around and looking at Rouge. "Shadow the Hedgehog" Shadow says as he had gave a glare. Rouge then blinks in surprise. "Oh!" Rouge says.

The next day at the docks, a Yacht was seen parked in the ocean. Chris and Mr. Tanaka who were wearing all black disguises were walking up the stairs to the Yacht while Chuck, E-77 Lucky, Cream, Cheese, Ella watched. "Chao, chao" Cheese says as they and everyone else looked nervous.

On the Yacht, Mr. Tanaka and Chris turn to everyone else. "Don't worry, you guys, we'll be back soon. But this is something I have to find out for myself" Chris says.

Back on the docks, everyone smiles a bit. "We understand, Chris. You two take care of yourselves!" Chuck says.

Back on the Yacht, Chris turns to Mr. Tanaka while touching the hat he was wearing. "But... Why do we have to dress like this, Mr. Tanaka?" Chris asked before Mr. Tanaka closes his eyes and puts a fist on his chest. "It's the..." Mr. Tanaka says before Chris lets go of his hat. "...Go-to when infiltrating an enemy territory" Mr. Tanaka says.

In the skies, the X-Tornado was seen flying with Sonic on one of the wings.

Inside the X-Tornado, Tails was looking forward while Amy was looking at him angrily. "Come on, step on it! We've got to get to Prison Island in a hurry so we can rescue Steven!" Amy says, "What a bossy..." Tails says before Amy stands up from her seat. "What did you say!?" Amy asked, "Er..." Tails says while looking back a bit before facing forward while sweat dropping.

Outside of the X-Tornado, it continues flying in the skies. "I didn't say anything!" Tails says off screen.

On the X-Tornado, Sonic continued looking forward. "Don't worry, Steven, we're on our way now" Sonic says in his head.

At a maximum security cell that was isolated around water inside the building of Prison Island, Steven was seen sitting down.

Inside the maximum security cell, Steven was seen wearing a prison outfit while looking into space. "Just great... First I get my butt kicked and now I'm being locked up against my will... Trouble always seems to follow everywhere I go, but now it's all blamed on me... Chaos, why does everything have to go wrong...?" Steven asked in his head, "I won't be satisfied until you're at your peak. Until then... You're nothing to me..." Shadow says in Steven's head as it echoed before Steven lets out a sigh. "...Maybe Shadow was right... Maybe I'm pathetic after all... I tried showing him a glimpse of my inner power, but all I showed him was a blur..." Steven says in his head as he looks at his hand. "...I thought I was able to tap into this power after I fought Perfect Chaos, but I guess I was wrong... This power could only seem to be awaken if I'm in a situation where I feel useless and emotional... If only I just tap into it without a problem because if I'm gonna face Shadow again, then I have to get really serious on training to do so..." Steven says in his head before he looks back into space with a sigh. "...Ever since Reversed Chaos Control happened, things have been getting reckless with all of us. Now that I'm considered a criminal to everyone's eyes, I feel like I need to take a break from being the Hero and just lay low for a bit. Because if I'm gonna be needed for anything big that'll require my help, then I'll need some alone time from everyone. I know they'll be worried, but it's the only way I'll be able to get all this straightened out and save them. Right now I should to use this time I have left to get stronger and think about what my next move is. Because Eggman and Shadow are most likely teaming up and plotting something big. Whatever it is, I have to be ready at all cost. Even if it's only for a short amount of time!" Steven says in his head before he gets in a push up position and does a one-hand pushup workout. What Steven didn't realize that he was in the same cell that Gerald Robotnik was in as writing was seen on the walls that had a bunch of information on it.

Back outside of Steven's maximum security cell, Steven continued training as he was gonna need all the time he has left to train if he's gonna encounter his enemies again. The clock is ticking for Steven the Hedgehog as this was only the beginning of his soon to be his Neutral Story.

Shining Road (光る道, Hikaru michi)

Clips were playing from the next Chapter/Episode. "Hey! It's me, Steven the Hedgehog! As I: the Neutral was still using my time being isolated in my cell on Prison Island, the Hero Team: Sonic, Tails, Amy, Chris and Mr. Tanaka were gonna try and bust me out from the Seas and the Air. Meanwhile, the Dark Team: Dr. Eggman, Shadow and surprisingly Rouge were gonna infiltrate Prison Island to steal the Chaos Emeralds. As everything was being played out and gone out of control, I was suddenly rescued by Amy and we fled out of the place before it went into lockdown. After breaking out of Prison Island, me and Sonic encountered Shadow and it looks like we won't be getting out of here without a fight! Who will be the victor this time? The clock is ticking! Next time on Sonic X: Steven the Hedgehog! "Escape from Prison Island" ("Steven's Big Break") Let's do this!" Steven says off screen as the current Chapter/Episode ends.
