First battle of the semifinal started and Ash is standing on battlefield opposite to Sabrina.
"Trainers send your first pokemon," said referee
Sabrina sends her Alakazam and Ash sends his Lucario.
"Is Ash out of his mind, sending Lucario against Alakazam," asked Iris
"Ash must have planned something else, there must be a reason he sent out his Lucario " said Brock
"But what did he planned," asked Clemont
"We have to wait and see brother," said Bonnie
"Alakazam vs Lucario, let the battle begin," said referee
"Alakazam use telekinesis," said Sabrina via telepathy
"Alakaza" said Alakazam as he thrusted its arm forward and Lucario enveloped in psychic aura after which Alakazam pulled its arms back making Lucario float towards the Alakazam
"Now use tri attack" said Sabrina as alakazam formed orb of three elemental energy and launched it at Lucario which first freezes Lucario, then burned him and then paralyzed him
"Okay Lucario, use your aura, focus on your inner strength and use it to get out of the psychic grip of Alakazam," said Ash
"No use," said Sabrina as Alakazam started teleported outside the stadium in the air along with Lucario and used his psychic energy to shoot Lucario towards the ground and launched shadow ball in rapid fire mode dealing good amount of damage.
Just before Lucario could balance, Alakazam teleported back and used telekinesis sending Lucario in the air and used hyper beam this time which leads to explosion
"Lucario, can you battle" asked Ash
"Yes, but we need to find a way to block telekinesis," said Lucario
"Then use protect, but we need to find a way to stop telekinesis for long time, " said Ash
"Lucario merge aura sphere and shadow ball, and eat it" said Ash
"What is he doing, at this time he want Lucario to eat shadow ball," said Iris unamused by the idea
"What are you saying Ash, eating the attack, " asked Lucario
"Just believe me," said Ash as Lucario did what Ash said and ate the fused orb.
"Use telekinesis and finish him asap," said Sabrina but all of sudden Lucario started to glow blue and an outer layer of dark energy surrounded Lucario.
"Now use aura vision to use close combat on Alakazam" said Ash as Lucario closed his eyes and then used aura vision after which he can clearly see Alakazam's aura and darted towards Alakazam with glowing fist and leg. Lucario then staryed using close combat. Alakazam then teleported but thanks to aura Lucario can see traces and direction of Alakazam's aura.
Lucario then turned to his left side and use dragon cannon that striked Alakazam sending it crashed on battlefield. Alakazam then used telekinesis but Lucario send wave of aura negating the telekinesis and attacked Alakazam
"This Lucario is strong," said Sabrina
Lucario then used his aura to deflect light in radius of one meter making him invisible and also used his aura to hide his aura traces.
"Find him using psychic ability and use telekinesis," said Sabrina but she got shocked when Alakazam is not able to detect Lucario. All of sudden a flash cannon strikes Alakazam and then all of sudden Alakazam got surrounded in black and red aura after which Lucario made himself visible
"Lucario use close combat," said Ash as Lucario charged at Alakazam with power up punch.
"Teleport," said Sabrina but he is unable to do so. Alakazam is slowly becoming target of close combat
Oncepowerup from shadow ball died then Alakazam used telekinesis making Lucario prone to psychic type attacks easily.Aftertwenty minutes of intense battle Alakazam and Lucario knocked out each other.
"Alakazam and Lucario are unable to battle, " said referee
"Now Gengar go," said Sabrina as Gengar appeared on the battlefield
"Which pokemon should I send next,If gengar knew dreameater, nightmare and hypnosis then I need someone who can resist sleep" said Ash to himself as he started to think deep
"Trainer Ash Ketchum, send your next pokemon or else you will be disqualified" said referee
"Primeape go, " said Ash as he sends his fighting type
"Trainer Ash is going with Primeape " said Freddy
"Gengar go, use skill swap" said Sabrina as Gengar floats back in the air and started to surround Primeape and then
Gengar released energy rings that surrounded Primeape after which Primeape glowed red and then Gengar glowed red
"Gengar" said Gengar as it started to laugh hysterically
"Primeape use foresight," said Ash as Primeape glowed white for a second after which red energy enveloped Primeape
"Gengar, use hypnosis," said Sabrina as Gengar sends rings of psychic energy that started to put Primeape to sleep
"Primeape is down everyone, primeape is put to sleep. Normally Primeape are immune to hypnosis but it seems Sabrina exchange abilities of Gengar and Primeape" said Freddy
"Oh no, that was skill swap. Damn! I need something to counter with. " said Ash to himself
"Primeape get out of hypnosis " said Ash but its of no use
" Now use imprison," said Sabrina as Gengar used imprison making Primeape glowed red
"Gengar finish ysing nightmare and dream eater and then use metronome, " said Sabrina and with this Primeape is knocked out
"How is that possible," asked Ash
"I must tell you Ash, first I used skill swap to exchange ability of primeape with Gengar which means Primeape is left with levitate with no longer able to immune to sleep based moves. Then I used imprison which means even if Primeape knows role play to exchange his ability back then it won't work as Gengar knows role play as well. " said Sabrina making Ash recall his primeape back and sends his Golett
"Use hypnosis," said Sabrina as Gengar used hypnotic waves
"Cancel this out, use magic coat" said Ash as Goleyt covered in blue energy force field that made hypnotic waves travel back to Gengar putting him to sleep.
"Interesting," thought Sabrina
Golett then used psychic followed by shadow punch and shadow ball and used gyroball surrounded by flames to knock out Gengar
"Gengar is out," said referee
"That was close," said Iris but all of sudden Gengar disappeared in smoke and Golett
started to levitate in the air. Gengar then appeared in front of Golett and then used hypnosis putting Golett to sleep and then used nightmare and dreameater to knock out Golett
"Golett is out. Since Ash is out of usable pokemon, Sabrina moves to finals, " declared referee. Ash recalled his Golett back
"Ash, I must say you are strong. This proves that with more training you can become a champion," said Sabrina as she shook hands with Ash
"Thanks, and I must say you trained Gengar very well," said Ash
"Actually Gengar trained on his own, he used to watch your league battles and he learnt from there. Gengar is your fan Ash and Gengar was never my pokemon at first place. " said Sabrina
"What you mean," asked Ash
"Did you ever saw me sending Gengar out of pokeball," asked Sabrina
"No never," replied Ash
"This means Gengar was never my pokemon. " said Sabrina
"But how did he evolved. As far as I know Gengar needs trading to evolve " said Ash
"Yes, haunter wanted to evolve and only for that period of time I caught Haunter and after that he asked me to release him back.In this way I am not his owner anymore. And I came here so that I can deliver Gengar to you." said Sabrina
"You mean," asked Ash
"Yes, Gengar wanted to be your team member from the time he saw you performing in the Lily of the valley conference. The moment you defeated Tobias" said Sabrina
"It was his wish to battle you before he officially join you" said Sabrina
"Is this true Gengar," asked Ash to which Gengar nodded

For remaining day last battles happened in which Brock and May battled against each other in which Brock emerged victorious and then Brock battled Sabrina making Sabrina winner of the junior cup.
Sabrina and Alder then battled in a one on one battle where she used her Gardevoir and Alder used his Chandelure which results into a draw
Ash and his friends are in pokemon center where they are preparing for their departure. Misty and Brock are ready to go back to Kanto
"So Ash, go ahead and capture Gengar. You and Gengar will be good team," said Sabrina
"Ash this is a good opportunity. Gengar can teach your pokemon some cool stuff " said Brock
"Gengar are you sure, do you want to be my team member," asked Ash to which he nodded
"Okay then, " said Ash as he gently taps pokeball on Gengar's head making it capture successfully.
"I got Gengar," said Ash as he released his Gengar out

"We will Clemont, after Unova, Kalos will be my next destination, " said Ash
"Ash we are going back to Hoenn as well, I will train there. Will meet you at the league," said Max

"Misty, Brock,May,Max,Clemont,Bonnie I will see you again. Clemont and Bonnie we became good friends in such a short span of time and I will be the first one to challenge Lumios City gym when I will visit Kalos region," said Ash

Same day Ash bids farewell to his friends as they left for their destination and only Cilan,Iris,Cynthia and Ash are left in the pokemon center.
"So, what should we do now" asked Ash
"Is there any gym left, which I can challenge" asked Ash
"There is one gym, Humilau City gym. You can challenge that gym and that is a water type gym " said Cynthia
"Cool, this will give me more experience," said Ash
"Would you like to come with us," asked Ash
"Not possible, I have some urgent work here. You guys go and challenge the gym, then you can train here" said Cynthia
"No worries," said Ash as he, Cilan and Iris started to left for the Humilau city gym. Meloetta also followed Ash silently
Shortly after leaving the Luconsa town, Ash and his friends met a trainer named Cameron. He is same trainer that took part in junior cup and got eliminated in round one. Currently they are walking towards the Humilau City
"Ash, you were amazing in the Junior cup. Your pokemon are strong" said Cameron
"Thanks, " said Ash
"Too bad that I lost in the junior cup" said Cameron
"Don't be too hard on yourself, I know you will do great in the league" said Ash
"Your Riolu is looking strong, I wonder why didn't you used Riolu in the junior cup," said Ash
"I wanted to save him for the league," said Cameron
"That explains, " said Iris
After travelling for twenty minutes Cilan and Iris realised that Ash and Cameron are not with them
"Ash ,Cameron where are you " asked Cilan but no answer
"I think Iris, they somehow took wrong turn. I think we should go and wait for them at the gym" said Cilan
"Sure" said Iris
Back with Ash and Cameron, they are busy in discussing about league until Ash realize that both of them are lost.
"We are lost Cameron, we took wrong turn" said Ash

"Leave it to me," said Ash as he sends his Unfezant out
"Unfezant we are lost, go and search for Cilan and Iris," said Ash after which unfezant went to search for Iris and Cilan.
Ash and Cameron followed Unfezant.
Fifteen minutes later Unfezant found them. As Iris and Cilan walking towards the gym they heard a familiar voice.
"Ash where were you," asked Iris
"Sorry we lost in the conversation so we didn't noticed that we took wrong turn," said Ash
After walking for thirty minutes more they reached the Humilau City gym where they met Marlon
"So you two are here for wave badge" said Marlon
"Yup," said Ash and Cameron
"Great, two on two sounds good," asked Marlon
"Yes," said Ash and Cameron
First battle between Cameron and Marlon started in which Marlon sends his Jellicent and Cameron sends his Ferrothorn
"Ferrothorn use pin missile," said Cameron
"Jellicent take it" said Marlon as Jellicent took the attack but started to glow red and black after which Ferrothorn started to glow red and black as well
"Now recover," said Marlon as Jellicent used recover making its health recover
"Use thunder bolt," said Cameron
"Take it and recover," said Marlon as Jellicent took attack and used recover.
"Marlon is strong," said Iris
"Ok Ferrothorn use thunderbolt" said Cameron but it didn't worked as move is disabled
"Now try pin missile," said Cameron but it didn't worked as well
"No way, Jellicent's ability is cursed body and due to which both moves used on it are disabled and by using recover it recovered its lost health" said Ash
"Cameron is in danger," said Cilan
By making use of psychic,will-o-wisp,night shade and scald Jellicent knocked out Ferrothorn
"This can't be happening " said Cameron in panic
"My next pokemon is " said Cameron sending his Samurott
"Samurott use aqua jet," said Cameron
"Take it and recover," said Marlon as Jellicent took the attack and used recover after which Samurott covered in red and black energy
"Here we go, cursed body activated once again," said Ash
"Now psychic," said Marlon as Samurott surrounded in psychic aura making it levitate in the air
"Now use hyper beam," said Marlon as Jellicent launched orange beam of energy
Due to in psychic grip Samurott could not move its limbs. Hyperbeam connected with Samurott making it crashed under water.
"Game over," said Marlon as all of sudden Samurott emerged out water with razor shell and striked Jellicent knocking it out
"That's impressive. I didn't know that your samurott could move after taking hyperbeam" said Marlon as he sends his Mantine. Samurott then defeated Mantine making Cameron winner of wave badge
"I must say that your Samurott is strongest pokemon of your team," said Marlon
"Thanks," said Cameron
"Riolu we won last badge and now we can win the whole Unova league, " said Cameron
"Cameron, you remind me of my younger self, when I just started my journey. But don't let this win get over your head, you should train hard, improve movesets of your pokemon and never surrender. Also the league battles can never be predicted. Things can change any time, so you have to be prepared," said Ash
"Thanks for the advice," said Cameron as he left to train for the Unova league
"Marlon, should we battle," asked Ash
"Sure, " said Ash as both are standing opposite to each other. Marlon sends his Tirtouga and Ash sends his Pikachu
"Tirtouga start with aqua jet," said Marlon
"Pikachu dodge and use " said Ash as Pikachu jumped in the air but Tirtouga emerged out of water like a rocket and took pikachu in the air
"Oh no pikachu is in danger," said Iris
"Pikachu concentrate and use thunderbolt," said Ash as pikachu unleashed thunderbolt making Tirtouga enveloped in electricity but Tirtouga still taking pikachu in the air.
"Now Tirtouga send pikachu in the water and use stone edge, " said Marlon
Tirtouga grabbed Pikachu's arms and swing it three sixty degrees before sending throwing it in the water. As pikachu is crashing down
"Pikachu use electroweb on the pads" said Ash as pikachu balanced himself and launched electroweb that covered the four water pads that are floating on water
"Now use it to jump in the air and use iron tail on Tirtouga " said Ash as Pikachu dived down and jumped back in the air.Tirtouga used stone edge which pikachu evaded the attack and used double team to confuse Tirtouga and used thunder on it before using iron tail
Tirtouga used aqua jet once again which pikachu countered using full power thunder knocking Tirtouga out.
"That's amazing, wonderful use of the floating pads on the battlefield " said Marlon as he sends his next pokemon.
The next battle between happened between Marlon's tentacruel and Ash's Kirlia. Tentacruel used pin missile which Kirlia blocked using protect and then used teleport and thunder wave to paralyse Tentacruel. Once tentacruel is paralyzed Kirlia used psychic, psychock and shadow ball followed by hypnosis that knocked out Tentacruel
"Ash, I am mazed to see such a great battling skills from you.As a proof of victory, I present you the wave badge," said Marlon
"Thanks," said Ash
Few hours later Ash and his friends are back at the Cynthia's villa. Next day Ash is training his pokemon for the league.
"Garchomp, can you help, Hydreigon, Bagon,Dratini,Dragapult,Duraludon and Tyrunt learning some dragon type moves. After that Dratini we will work help you on how to use your serpent like body structure to its max" said Ash to which the six pokemon nodded
"Lucario you help Seismitoad in learning punch based attacks," said Ash to which Lucario nodded
"Zorua and Bergmite lets have some battle training," said Ash
"Mind if we help you, " asked Cilan and Iris
"Yes sure," said Ash as he all of sudden Meloetta jumped in front of Ash
"Meloetta what are you doing here," asked Ash
"Melo mel meloe" said Meloetta
"You want to train," asked Ash to which she nodded
"Bergmite you rest for a while," said Ash as he recalled Bergmite back. Meloetta then changed in her Pirouette Forme
"Zorua use dark pulse " said Ash
Meloetta becomes invisible and dodged the attack and then used close combat in Zorua in her invisible form .
"Look at that, Meloetta's combat skills are commendable " said Iris
"Yes,this is certainly an interesting flavor. No one can predict that behind that shy nature there is such a power " said Cilan
as Meloetta picks Zorua and throw him in the air.
"Zorua balance yourself and use shadow ball," said Ash as Zorua flipped in the air and launched dark energy orb. Meloetta glowed white and deflected the shadow ball.
"Zorua use dark pulse," said Ash but all of sudden a flash cannon strikes battlefield
"What's this," said Ash as Golurk landed in front of Ash
"What a golurk is doing here," asked Cilan
"Hey you, pokemon thief" said a man who came in front of Ash and Meloetta then floated towards the guy
"Are you okay Meloetta, hope they didn't hurt you" said the guy as he ordered Golurk to use hyper beam.Ash's pokemon also came in front to defend Ash and his friends
"We are not pokemon thief and we didn't
kidnapped Meloetta." said Ash
"Meloe mel" said Meloetta to the guy
"Is that so, they treated you" said the guy
"Golurk stop, " said the guy as he and Ash's friends are inside the Cynthia's villa
"So you are the special people who protect Meloetta so that evil people couldn't misuse her power " asked Cilan
"That's right," said Ridley
"Those who protect Meloetta can sense if Meloetta is nearby or not. In this way I found you. I am really sorry for accusing you " said Ridley
"Ridley don't get me wrong, but if we want to protect Meloetta we have to capture her. You can capture her until we get rid of the pokemon thieves" said Ash

A miniature drone is spying on Cynthia's villa. Peeking through window drone is transmitting video to team rocket

"But we have to worry about Meloetta first and other legendaries that team rocket is planning to capture. With my experience with team galactic , team rocket is doing same thing. They will first capture Meloetta, then they will find forces of nature and then Zekrom and Reshiram." said Ash and what he said is transmitted to Giovanni
"I am not surprised why you fools always lost to that kid, he is smart" said Giovanni

Back with Ash and his friends they are planning on how to get out of here safely without letting anyone know

"But, Ridley for the sake of Meloetta's safety , we have to capture her. Please capture her in a pokeball," said Ash

"Ash, there is a back door over here," said Jervis after which Ash's friend exit the villa along Iris and Cilan. Ridely told Ash,Iris and Cilan ti take Meloetta to safe place. Ridely stayed back to distract the team rocket
As Ash and his friends entered the forest and ran for twenty minutes before they are surrounded by Hunter J,Jessie,James, Meowth and team rocket grunts.

"Is that so, now first of all look at this, " said J as she started a projector which displayed multiple images. One image is from Kanto where his mom,Tracy and professor Oak has been kept in a dark room , three of them are tied to the chair and scyther are standing beside them
In second,third and fourth image Ash's friends Misty,Brock,May,Max,Dawn are kept in separate room. Beside them are team rocket grunts with gun in their hands. In other screen Cilan's brother are held captive by team rocket
"You see, we followed your friends and kidnapped them.Jessie,James and Meowth told me about you and we thought that you may become a hurdle in our path. So dear Ash, we just kidnapped your friends and now you don't want to see them die in front of you. Do you" said HunterJ
"How could you," said Ash as one grunt put gun on his head and then other grunts put gun on forehead of Cilan and Iris
"Don't release your pokemon, or else you will be dead," said Hunter J
"Any wrong step and ready to say goodbye to your loved ones " said J
"Meleo mel meloetta" Meloetta is pleading hunter J to leave her friends.
"If you want to save your friends then come with us or else family and friends of this kid will be dead," said J
"Melo mel meloe" said Meloetta as she floated towards Hunter J

"Hey stop, don't take Meloetta away, if you want Meloetta then you have to take me with you as well. But you have to leave my friends Alone, " said Ash

"Your pokemon are strong and they will fetch good amount in black market" said J as Ash is now confined in energy cage and so is Meloetta
"Leave those two , they are not useful for us.Take this kid, his pikachu and Meloetta to our base," said Hunter J as they took Ash and Meloetta away
Meanwhile Ridley came running towards Cilan and Iris
"Meloetta, where is Meloetta" asked ridley
"They took Ash and Meloetta , " said Iris in sad tone
"I was wrong, I was wrong to trust you. You let them take away Meloetta. But why" said Ridley as he raise Cilan by his collar
"They kidnapped Ash's friends and his mom. They told us not to do anything and if we did anything, they all will be dead" said Cilan making Ridley release him
"So that's why Ash said team rocket is most cruel crime syndicate. They just used his friends as bait " said Ridley
"We have to take help from Cynthia" said Cilan
"Yes, let's go" said Iris
