Chapter Four: Red Up in this Ho...enn

(A/N: The updates will be irregular and mostly fueled by my intense desire to write random/perverted/funny things that come to mind, I could churn out a lot of things in succession or nothing for a while depending on how I feel. Please check out my other story as well because I'm trying a different style with it and would appreciate the feedback).

Red's POV

So this absolutely absurd situation had gone on for so long that no one was panicking in the slightest anymore, we were soaring across the clouds on what seemed like an endless amount of momentum and the only thing that broke the surrealness of our soaring was the weird looks the Pelippers gave us as we soared by.

Wait, Pelippers? I quickly turned toward Rosa and asked, "wait are Pelippers common in Unova?" She was looking at me intently and seemed a bit out of it when she replied "Uh... no not really we usually have flocks of Unfezant in the area as Pokemon from other regions are rare".

I quickly assessed my situation and realized that we were no longer over Unovan lands which should mean that Tornadus had stopped blowing us as we had left his territory.

I asked Toge if that was the case, to which she answered with a curt nod. "Good girl Toge." I said while patting her head, which for some reason prompted her to pout and nibble on my finger. The two girls in my arms looked at this exchange with bewilderment. "You can understand each other?" they asked in sync again.

"Of course we can, we've been together for so long that there's nothing I don't know about her" I said cheerfully, to which Toge gave me a slightly rough headbutt which I interpreted as an affectionate notion. Dawn's eyes sparkled like the stone that shared her name and Rosa gave me a look of admiration. They both said "I wish we were that close to our Pokemon". At this point I was wondering if these two were fraternal twins with how in sync they were but I decided to save that question for if we survived this ordeal.

"Alright well since it seems like we aren't going to land anytime soon does anyone want to talk about what they were planning to do in Unova before we were all blown to Arceus knows where?" I asked so that we could pass the time.

With the wind still pressing everything on the deck down, I knew that it'd be a while before anyone came up out of the hold of the ship. Which meant no one would disturb our story time. I thought about all the fun things I could do with these girls in this unusual isolation beneath the protection we had thanks to Milo. I could talk about my exploits as the champion of Kanto. Or relive the many encounters I had with the powerful Pokemon in the lands I had visited. And even talk about all of Pika's funny ketchup related escapades. I was so glad we were using protection here so that we could do whatever without being interrupted by the gale force winds elsewhere.

My train of thought was interrupted when Rosa suddenly began to talk about her goals in Unova. "Well I'm originally from Unova and as it was, I had just gotten back from a trip to Kanto where I had just received a research job." Then, Dawn quickly continued where Rosa left off and said "Oh what a coincidence! I also am visiting Kanto from Sinnoh and I just got my first Pokemon and a mission in Unova as well!"

At this point some parts of their stories were really starting to sound familiar and the two girls looked at each other in sudden realization. "Wait, Professor Oak?" Was all they had to say, and the subsequent nods in confirmation sealed the deal. These were the fellow trainers that Oak had mentioned before.

"Oh so you guys are my partners!" I accidentally exclaimed in excitement as this realization dawned upon me. Strangely, both of them looked away again and Dawn muttered out of earshot under her breath "I'm okay with that, but can we not do it in the open." Meanwhile Rosa also looked away and said gently "Please take responsibility okay?"

Seeing as I had only heard Rosa's response, I excitedly blurted out "Of course I will take responsibility and be the best partner for both of you as much as I possibly can." Apparently they were embarrassed by how excited I was to work with them on this mission (but actually impressed by how bold I was being) they both looked down and said in unison "please be gentle okay?"

Not knowing what they meant by this, I was about to ask them for clarification when I felt a violent rumble in the concrete floor of the swimming pool. All of a sudden two enormous pillars of water burst through the concrete and a protected Blasty and Blue appeared from the subsequent hole.

"Red..." she muttered angrily, as her eyes looked like they wanted to kill me. "Whats up?" I said without realizing what she was angry about.

Blue's POV

Suddenly the S.S. Anne was blown away from the Unovan docks as if this was a shitty fanfic and the writer had forgotten all about Unova after taking a year long hiatus and decided to change the settings of the story.

The whole time I was panicking and I made sure that I got Yellow to safety inside the ship before glancing outside one last time.

There I saw that idiot Red doing the thing that makes my heart flutter every time I witness it. He was being the stupid hero who gave no regards for his own safety and went out of his way to save everyone else.

Him and Toge had swooped over and saved the twin-tailed girl and were now bracing for impact into the swimming pool due to the momentum the gale-force winds had given them. At that point I was pushed into the hold of the ship by the group of people who were trying to make their way to safety and the last thing I saw was a pink hat with sunglasses on top of it as a girl was peering out the door I had been looking in.

Once inside the ship I tried to direct myself to directly under where Red was in the ship so I could save him if something happened.

That's when I realized that I could hear what Red was talking about with the two girls due to the fact that the pool filter pipes ran through the ceiling there and they were thin enough that their voices carried since there was no more water in the pool.

At this point I heard " Of course I will take responsibility and be the best partner for both of you as much as I possibly can" out of that stupid Red's mouth. Those two bitches were trying to seduce my Red! I quickly sent out Blasty in the corridor we were in and gave him the order to hydro cannon this god damn ceiling off, there's no way in hell anyone was getting the jump on my man.

I hesitated for a moment though because I wasn't sure how about the integrity of the ship if I were to use such a powerful move in close quarters, but I heard the words "please be gentle okay?" from two feminine voices and that was the last straw. This whole ship could go to hell for all I cared, I was going to stop this and save Red.

"BLASTY BLOW THIS CEILING OFF, HYDRO CANNON" I yelled in a near uncontrollable rage.

Blasty tore through the ceiling, and then the thin layer of concrete that made up the floor of the swimming pool with a powerful torrent of water pressure. Then using Blasty's hydro pump I rode him to where Red was and quickly ordered a protect so we wouldn't be blown away.

Now to deal with the King of idiocy himself... I turned very slowly and was sure to give Red the most powerful death glare I had in my arsenal. He, of course, returned my look with an oblivious look that denoted that I was not going to get anywhere with being angry at him.

Then I noticed the two girls clinging (in reality they were actually being held equally as tightly by Red) onto Red. They looked at me with a mixture of curiosity and fear. This would be good, they were not thinking of themselves as being in the superior position to me. I must abuse this to my advantage I chuckled darkly to myself. The two younger girls retreated in instinctual fear closer into Red's arms.

So they were looking for a fight huh?

"Well, well, well and who might you two be I asked impatiently making sure to tinge my voice with as much malice as possible to intimidate these vixens.

Before they could reply, Red said "they're my new partners!" with a grin so wide that it almost made me think that he hadn't said anything weird. "Of course you're my partner too Blue." He followed up with another large grin which made my face very red especially in comparison to Blasty's pale yellow underside.

"A harem! He's talking about a harem right now in front of all of us so openly. When did Red become so bold?" I thought to myself in a panic as he had, in essence, just declared the three of us as his eternal partners to our faces while we were all together.

"I mean... I don't know about the logistics of a foursome... and I am a bit worried about him keeping up..." I thought to myself as I got redder and redder.

Then I realized, wait there's no way the Red I know would act this way without any significant reason so I immediately thought of the alternative. This had to be a misunderstanding. The glorious harem was not meant to be, Red was definitely thinking of something else from us three girls.

Which... immediately made me want to punch him for getting my hopes up. (Girl logic dictates that it's his fault here)

I motioned for Blasty to move towards Red so I could sock him good, and Blasty understood my intentions and moved forward slowly until our protection had made contact and combined.

At this point, the two girls were absolutely paralyzed by the powerful intimidating aura I was purposely giving off. But, Red was still obliviously smiling at me and even had the nerve to say "hey welcome to the party!"

That was the final straw, I reached back my fist in frustration and prepared to sock him a good one ... until I tripped over one of the scattered chunks of cement Blasty had created.

I fell forward with the momentum I had been intending to use for the punch and landed in between the two girls with my forehead banging into Red's. The last thing I remember was seeing Red's concerned eyes before I blacked out.

When I had came to, I saw Red looking over at me with eyes filled with concern still, and the other two girls had fallen asleep in his arms. The scene we made would have been very questionable from a third party's perspective, but since I was resting in Red's lap, I decided not to comment.

"Hey Blue are you feeling alright? Blacking out this many times is probably not good for your head or your wallet" Red joked while looking straight into my eyes.

Even though he was upside down from my perspective, the scene was still very heartwarming for me and I found myself blushing uncontrollably. "Control yourself Blue, you don't want to seem weak in front of the other two girls in case they wake up." I thought to myself, and with that gradually forced the red hue to leave my cheeks.

"So what are we going to do about this situation?" I asked Red as I turned my attention to the clouds surrounding us.

"Well before you emerged from the pool floor, we were still above the clouds, so the fact that we are starting to be immersed in them means we must be gradually descending" Red said calmly.

I was impressed by how he kept his composure in what was essentially a situation that involved a hundred plus ton hunk of metal and people hurling towards Arceus knows where.

As if reading my mind Red said "don't worry I've spent a lot of time thinking about how to handle this situation and I'm planning on using Blasty and Milo as well as the other water Pokemon's hydro pumps in tandem to lessen the impact of our fall as we get close to landing".

What a sound plan, now if only my clueless friend could learn to read the mood and my emotions he'd be perfect.

Anyway, the mood in the situation was perfect, we had protection, the two girls were asleep, and the rest of the world was isolated from us. I decided right in that moment that it was time to become bold and increase my defenses as the most important girl in Red's life while lowering the potential attack of girls on Red.

Simply put, I decided now was the best time to make my move on Red so that he wouldn't even consider the pretty girls in his arm and only pay attention to me. If I didn't make my move now, I might not be able to keep my place by his side.

With that decided, I left his lap and started leaning in slowly towards him with my eyes closed. It would be my first kiss but if it was with Red then everything would be alright.

The mood was just right, and I was slowly inching in towards Red's face... closer and closer... almost there... when suddenly I realized that Red wasn't there anymore!

Looking franticly around, I saw that Red had abruptly left his original spot and was now running towards Blasty. "Damn you Blasty, why is it that you're the only one that he runs toward and not me?" I thought to myself as I was feeling a bit ticked off at the lost opportunity.

"Blasty we are nearing the shore faster than I expected, you and Milo need to use hydro pump and cannon and make sure we don't make impact with the shore, and don't be afraid to use your full power!" Red exclaimed as I looked over at the direction he was pointing toward and saw a strangely familiar beachfront far off in the distant (edit made here for continuity with Chapter 5).

Realizing where we were in that moment, I inwardly cursed "damn it you ho, I can't believe that the whole Hoenn region just cockblocked me"

And after that thought, the sound of extremely strong pillars of water overwhelmed my senses (another Ch.5 edit)

(A/N: I'm not sure how I feel about length of chapters. I might settle with shorter chapters like I'm using in my other fic Red Like a Book, not sure which ones I'm more comfortable with.
