Hank told the others he would circle around to the back door he wasn't fit enough to jump the hole he yelled out for Connor to make sure Katie didn't get into any trouble before leaving out the front door.

Katie picked up her gun and continued down the hallway checking rooms as she walked towards the back kitchen she came around the door way and nearly hit Hank in the nose as he was just coming in from the back door.

"kitchens clear all that's left is the door to the basement, ready?" Hank asked Katie just nodded they proceeded through the basement door turning on the light they saw a very large area with tables set up with canisters and beakers.

Two androids attacked them Hank shot his, the other managed to knock Katie off balance and she knocked into Connor they both landed on the ground Katie winced her shoulder still sore, Connor immediately got up and tackled the android to the ground and his hand caught its wrist and his skin peeled back as he probed its memory.

Hank helped Katie back to her feet they approached Connor as he got up from the android "well whats up with it?" Hank grumbled

"I've probed its memory they were running a red ice ring from here but they got wind that we were coming and sabotaged the floor by the front door, the android has memory of several of their faces we can make some arrests and there was a phone call from the leader but no traces of him being here" Connor replied straightening his tie.

"We should get back to the station and start processing those arrests" Katie said

"Ha you Missy are going to the hospital to get that bloody shoulder looked at. Me and the android here will deal with the arrests" Hank said leaving no room to argue. Connor only nodded agreeing with Hank.

A few hours later….

Katie had returned home after Hank had reported that they had all of the red ice dealers in custody and there was nothing for Katie to do.

Katie walked over to the big window in the lounge area sipping a coffee she had picked up on her way home. Katie looked over the city so much had gone on from the time she had joined the police department to moving to Detroit. Katie grabbed some painkillers the doctor had given her at the hospital they had said to give it a week and it should be good as new.

She turned the TV on and went and grabbed some dinner throwing it into the microwave she noted she would have to do a big cook up on the weekend as she only had two meals left. The news of the ice dealers being caught was on there was footage of the three of them exiting the property from a security camera.

Katie grabbed her dinner and plonked onto the couch kicking her boots off and using her coffee table to rest her feet on she ate while watching Hanks interview of the accounts saying about how they had rigged the floor to break how she was lucky not to have more serious injuries.

For some reason Katie couldn't take her eyes off of Connor in the background who stood stock still unless asked a question in which he would reply "I'm sorry I am unable to comment on current cases you will have to speak to Lieutenant Hank Anderson"

Katie yawned as it was getting late by the time she finished watching a thriller movie she placed her plate and cutlery in the dishwasher and turned it on before going to bed.

The next Morning Katie was woken up to loud thumping on her front door she grabbed her dressing gown and chucked her slippers on before going to the front door. "Come on McKenzie! we've tracked down a deviant!" Hank yelled from outside the door Katie opened the door "Come in Hank i'll go get ready" Katie replied rushing off as Hank came in.

"hey nice pad you've got here" Hank yelled out

Katie ran into her wardrobe grabbing a black tank top and a grey press button shirt putting them on as she grabbed a pair of ¾ length running pants and her black and purple sketchers sneakers before joining Hank in her kitchen where she shoved a piece of bread into the toaster.

"where about is the android?" Katie asked as she brushed and pulled her hair into a high ponytail.

"in an apartment complex downtown we have to get going asap Connor is meeting us at the place" Hank said Katie grabbed her toast and they were both out the door on the way.
