Kael was first to arrived a bit early the school was to open for his first day of class with his Joltik resting on his shoulder. He would have started exploring the grounds to get a feel for the place if he didn't see a Shiny Charizard. Laid in the opened yard area in front of the building with a young man sliding off the saddle part. Who landed on his feet as he arranged something carefully in his arms that Shiny Charizard nuzzled him about.
"Char come on!" This person struggled to keep the item in their arms away from the Shiny Charizard. "This isn't for you."
"Need some help?" Kael offered.
Up the Shiny Charizard Kael went on to pull a handful of poffins of his pocket and offer them to fire/ flying type. One sniff of his hand and the poffins were scooped up and got this Shiny Charizard's attention away from other item.
"I never seen Char willingly eat poffins before." The person watched Kael.
"Not fire type can resisted my mom's spicy poffins," Kael bragged about his later mother's recipe. "She perfected the recipe for her Flareon."
"Your that prince." Person remembered Meruw speaking about Kael.
"Ikaika?" Kael asked.
The two of them ended up laughing before Kael ended up asking why the Shiny Charizard was going nuts for what Ikaika had. The item would soon be revealed to be a smashed box of Rich chocolate custard poke cake. That had been thoroughly being messed up with most of the icing shoved to one side. Actual fruit topping and rest of the cake had been flatten into must of the box Ikaika was carrying.
"Uncle Kiawe is going to kill me." Ikaika closed the lid.
"Was that meant for someone?" Kael asked rather interested.
"The new students enrolling in our school," Ikaika sighed. "I'll still eat it since I've had worst."
Ikaika ended up learning that Kael's Aunt on his father's side was not a strong cook or even had the basic skills of a bake in the kitchen. She was known for burning water if she tried to make a pot of tea or make pasta for a simple meal for just family.
"She is the reason I don't get much of a upset stomach with anything poorly made." Kael shrugged.
He even made his point by popping open the lid of the box the ruined cake was in and taking up a chuck with one of his hands. He brought to his lips to start taking in a few nibbles without much of a disgust on his face. Joltik was allowed to take a few bites of what laid in his master's hand when he poked his head from Kael's shoulder.
"Is that a..." Ikaika couldn't believe he was seeing a Joltik.
"My companion pokemon." Kael corrected Ikaika.
"A what?" Ikaika didn't understand.
"A pokemon that provides relief to individuals needing emotional supportand comfort that helps them deal," A man in just white lab coat over casual clothing. He wore a pair of red sunglasses with a grey streak in his already dark hair worn under his hat. "A trend that started in the Gemme region, if I recall."
Kael would go on to agreed with this person who would then introduce themselves as Professor Kukui to them. Who was happy to be in the presence of their newest student after learning of who returned to the region.
"My dad is in the middle of planning a series of concerts with DJ Leo and Dig-Dug-Leo," Kael spoke why his father wasn't here. "Seems he can't play his violin with out attracting people."
"Your dad plays a violin?" Ikaika asked surprised.
"Yea, mom was always said, that one needs a back up plan besides a royal title." Kael recalled his late mother's advice.
Jena knew Brent's talent for the violin was a natural one that he shouldn't had as a hobby when he was fulfilling his royal duty. She ended having him expend his talent to a actual career that got him known through out pokemon world. Which got him requested to perform in all kinds of venues and locations within the world. Sometimes a nurse joy or a pokemon professor reach out to him to aid a troubled pokemon. Other times he go on tour just for the fun of it or come out with album under his pen name.
"My dad got into playing the electric violin also thanks to my mom." Kael pointed out other instruments his father played.
"Wow!" Ikaika wanted to attend a concert now.
"Seems your family is full of surprises." Professor Kukui was amazed with Kael.
Kael took that as a compliment before cousin of Professor Oak decided to showed up in his usual way with pokemon related pun. Who proudly welcomed the new student to his school and asked about giving him a private tour. That is how Lotos was the one that already did that for him when he came here a few weeks ago. She was shy girl that always seemed to have something go on in her life since her family were always busy.
"Then your know where the main classroom." Samson pointed toward the main building.
"I also know where I would like to seat." Kael looked to where Professor pointed.
"Now I am making sure to attend class." Ikaika huffed.
This was where kKel witnessed how much like Kiawe from the way she got fired up before facing the prince. Openly challenged him to one- on- one pokemon battle with her Darumaka's pokeball in hand when she faced Kael. This was hr accepted with just his Joltik going to do the battle since didn't bring much of his battling pokemon. This was where he was warned that she was also a experienced trainer like himself thanks to her uncle. Professor Kukui and Samson were the ones that be score keeper and referee for the battle.

Lotos, Sofoklis, Lune, and Meruw were surprised that Kael wasn't the only newest addition to their class. Serena with her Grookey resting on her shoulder, Claire with her Dedene on her shoulder, and one other person. He had a Hisuian Form Zorua beside him as he had small accents of being related to a pirate on his person. From the ear that was pierced with a clasp and series of earrings while had wore pieces of clothing form 18th century. Would bow down to everyone before stating he was to be Kael's step- brother of late.
"I am Tucker 'White Hair' Hailey, " He bowed to them all. "I hale from the Hisuiregion."
"Meaning your related to Ryong?" Kael asked with hand held out to Tucker.
"My dear mother like yours died just recently," Tuckers crossed his arms. "Father brought me out here since my uncle thought this was better for me."
Claire was the one the one that stepped up and got in between Tucker and Kael to try her best to tell Tucker to try and be nicer. Kael didn't need Tucker's form of a cold shoulder when trying to just be plain friendly to what would be a new member of his family. She was ready to kick Tucker to the other side of the class room, if he further bullied Kael. Tucker ended up allowing a side smirk to appear on his face when he looked upon Claire.
"Please tell me your not some kind of princess?" Tucker dumbly stated.
"Princess Claire of Danto region and my cousin is Serena of the Orre region." She answered not once intimated.
"..." Tucker was left speechless due to shock.
"Cute." Serena teased him.
Lotos and Meruw were the ones that insisted that Serena and Claire come take the empty decks right next to them. Which both girls accepted while wishing Tucker luck with Kael as the guy was almost knocked over off his feet. When given a soft punch by Serena as her form of further teasing him and warning him. On the ground at Kael's feet Tucker landed with barely any eyes on him with Hisuian Form Zorua nuzzling him.
"You may not like me nor what happening to your family," Kael stood by Tucker. "...less give it a chance."
Before Tucker could take back to Kael for being a arrogant prick in front of everyone in order to cheer himself up. Kael with his Joltik resting on his head walking passed him to take the empty eat furthest away from the front. Left the last seat in the front row for Tucker and his Hisuian Form Zorua to take. Which he proudly did without much of a struggle as he pulled the chair out and sat side wards with a wink aimed at Serena. What he got was Dedene staring back at him with a poffin from Kael sticking out of his mouth. Serena wasn't a one bit interested in looking his way since her eyes stayed on the board when Professor Kukui started.
"Since we got introductions out of the way," Professor Kukui looked to each occupied desks. "Why doesn't we jump right in with Z-Moves and Z- Rings?"
Rounds of cheers he got from everyone soon ended when Tucker turned in his seat and look right to Kael. Asking him which one his sisters inherited the Z- Ring left behind by Jena and her collection of Z-Crystals. Stating that twin princess of Gemme must be having fun fighting over the solo bracelet to power up their pokemon.
"My sisters stick with Mega Evolutions of their main partners," Kale answered him. "A Hatenna and a Klink. Thanks for asking."
"Then you?" Tucker asked about to laugh.
"No since I would like to earn my own," Kael reclined forward in his seat. "She gave careful instructions that every Z- ring given back to Hala and her collection of Z- Crystals were distributed back to the Island Kahunas in order they came."
News made Lotos, Sofoklis, Lune, and Meruw react in different ways as Serena and Claire could feel the tension. Ikaika was the one that made a quiet vow to get Kael and Tucker Z- Rings by the end of the school year. Tucker suddenly went quiet as Kael went on about how he didn't want to rely on the path his mother already set out. He wanted to earn his own Z- Ring and Z- Crystals from his trip here with his mother's stories guiding him. Just the sorrow seen within Kael's eyes when he spoke of his mother so how dampen the room.
"Lets start with a demonstration." Professor Kukui looked to Ikaika. "How about it?"
"Really?" She asked.
Out to the balcony she ran as she pulled a Friend Ball out of her pocket to release her Quilava for what was about to happen. Way she was nuzzled by her Quilava as she greeted him before she told him what they were be doing. Had Quilava to happily agree and face everyone that were watching them to perform Inferno Overdrive. Happened when before her Quilava would take a pose as she lifted up her wrist where she her Z- Ring was. She switched out the friend ball for a Firium Z from the same pocket when she began her process. Quilava striking a series of synchronized poses with Ikaika to build Z-Power. It then gathers a large ball of yellow-orange fire in front of its on his back and launches it. Out and over the railing of the balcony the stream of fire goes.
"Well that was a eye opener."
"Wow!" Lotos sat back in her seat.
"Gosh." Lune blinked.
"My goodness." Meruw pointed out the steps.
"When I can I do that?" Claire asked Serena.
"So Awesome!" Tucker whispered.
"Tremendous Done." Sofoklis had recorded the whole process for research.
Kael was quiet the whole time he watched Ikaika and her Quilava preform the Z- Move from his desk with Joltik. The pair barely flinching since Kael was reminded of when his mother once performed that move with her flareon. Way the two moved looked like they were dancing as the power was built up between them.

Tucker ended up tagging along with Kael when he headed to Iki Town after school gave out for the day just for fun. Not knowing Kael wasn't going straight back to the Gemme Embassy like he wanted through special escort. Instead he ended up following Kael to the local bus station for a one way ride to the third smallest town in Alola. Kael asked if Tucker was going to need a ticket since he already had one that Ryong bought him. Left the question on why Kael was going in the first place before reminded who lived in a place with population of 18.
"Maybe you should try a go at earning a Z- Ring," Kael advised Tucker. "Give you something to do then bother your dad about going back to Hisuiregion."
"Rather see how this turns out," Tucker shrugged. "Since you came out 3rd."
"Glad to known your brushing up on me." Kael was already impressed.
Tucker rolled his eyes at Kael when the ended up boarding the bus after tickets were looked over by the driver. Left them to the take some where in the middle of the bus with a handful of people also entering to take seats. Joltik settled on Kael's lap when he reclined in his seat without much of a care for what he should prepare for.
"Shouldn't you be going over battle strategy and tatics?" Tucker was bothered by Kael's relaxed state.
"Whatever happens," Kael shrugged. "Happens."
Kael then closed his eyes and allowed Joltik to settle down with Tucker already in a state in confusion on what to do. Heb sighed and crossed his legs as he turned his head toward the window to quietly think. Only thing that came to mind was him pulling out his phone to message his dad about going with Kael. Maybe it was time he moved on from his own mother's death, the further mourn a women that never loved him. Which got him a be careful from his dad and to try his hardest if he had to be apart of a trail battle. Put a smile on Tucker's face when he also asked if they could try a Gemme Region's family settle dinner. Which surprised Ryong since Tucker at the beginning had never accepted his birth father's new family.
"Here," Kael hands a Pokégear 3.0 to Tucker. "Links to the Embassy, nearest pokemon center, and police station."
"How?" Tucker asked since these haven't been released yet.
"Gemme Region's Science of Ministry help with the progress," Kael answered him. "Dad's way of helping contribute to field of Science."
"Prepared aren't you." Tucker was impressed.
Kael opened his eyes briefly to speak about a piece of advice his late mother gave him about the world before she died. That one should always be ready for what the unexpected things that happen in one's life. Sad smile that formed on Kael's face when he recalled that one bit of memory had Tucker snapped his fingers.
"You look like a kicked Lillipup." Tucker sat back in his seat.
Kael could only blink in minor shock before he ended up relaxing back into the seat on the bus with smile on his lips. Mentally already thinking of what to do when he stepped off the bus to face Hala and the path coming.
