Napstablook

Yellow sat against the wall and pulled out her sketchbook. She liked to draw pictures of those she met. She had pictures of all her friends. Yellow turned to a blank page and started to draw Flowey. Then she drew a picture of Toriel.

After she was done, she realized that Toriel hadn't come back. Yellow knew that she was supposed to stay put, but a different side of her told her to keep moving forward. So Yellow got up and continued walking.

Right as Yellow stepped into the next room, the phone she had received from Toriel rang.

"Hello?" Yellow answered.

Toriel's voice was on the other line.

"This is Toriel. For no reason in particular, which do you prefer: Cinnamon or Butterscotch?"

Yellow thought hard before answering, "I don't really have a preference. I like both."

"Thank you my child. That will be all." Toriel hung up.

The puzzle in front of Yellow looked pretty easy: just push a rock on to the button to make the spikes go away. So that's what Yellow did.

The next room had a pile of leaves in the middle of it. On top of the leaves was...a ghost? Yellow approached the ghost.

"zzzzzzzzzzz...zzzzzzzzzzzz...zzzzzzzzzz (are they gone yet?) zzzzzzzzzz..."

It was clear that the ghost was pretending to sleep.

"Excuse me," Yellow said. "I need to get through."

Yellow suddenly entered a fight.

Here comes Napstablook.

Yellow checked the ghost's stats.

Napstablook- Atk 10 Def 10. This monster doesn't seem to have a sense of humor...

Napstablook spoke. "oh, i'm real funny"

"Could Napstablook hear that mysterious voice too?" Yellow wondered to herself.

Suddenly, Napstablook started crying, so Yellow had to dodge his tears.

Yellow smiled at Napstablook, which seemed to cheer him up a tiny bit.

"heh...REALLY NOT FEELIN UP TO IT RIGHT NOW. SORRY." Napstablook said.

Yellow told Napstablook the joke Toriel had told her earlier. Napstablook chuckled.

"heh heh…can i show you something?"

Napstablook's tears flew upward and formed into a hat.

"i call it dapper blook."

"I like it," Yellow said.

Yellow spared the ghost.

"i usually come to the RUINS because there's nobody around... but today i met somebody nice... ... oh, i'm rambling again. i'll get out of your way."

Yellow and Chuchu waved as Napstablook faded, then continued moving.
