Yellow and Chuchu rentered Waterfall, this time with full stomachs. They passed by Sans at his post and thanked him again for the meal. They then entered some tall grass.
"I wonder if we'll run into any wild Pokemon here." Yellow joked.
The pair suddenly heard footsteps, and went quiet. Apparently there were two people, but Yellow couldn't see them. One of them spoke, and Yellow recognized it was Papyrus.
"H-HI, UNDYNE!" Papyrus said. "I'M HERE WITH MY DAILY REPORT...REGARDING THAT HUMAN I CALLED YOU ABOUT EARLIER…"
"Did you fight them?" The second person, Undyne, asked.
"Y-YES! OF COURSE I DID!" Papyrus replied. "I FOUGHT THEM VALIANTLY!"
"Did you capture them?" Undyne asked.
"W-W-WELL…" Papyrus stuttered. "NO."
"WHAT?!" Undyne yelled.
"I TRIED VERY HARD, UNDYNE," Papyrus said. "BUT IN THE END… I FAILED."
"Well then," Undyne said, "I guess I'm going to take their soul myself."
"BUT UNDYNE, YOU DON'T HAVE TO DESTROY THEM!" Papyrus explained.
"If you have a problem, then maybe the Royal Guard isn't for you." Undyne remarked.
Papyrus stepped back. "...I UNDERSTAND. I'LL HELP YOU IN ANY WAY I CAN."
Papyrus walked away.
Yellow felt a bit betrayed, but she had a feeling that Papyrus was still going to help her.
Someone made a noise in the grass. Yellow and Chuchu held their breath as Undyne walked to the edge of the ledge above them, summoned a spear, and looked around. A few seconds later, Undyne retracted her spear, and walked away.
Yellow and Chuchu walked out of the grass, and found that they were being followed by the young monster from before.
"Yo…" He began, "Did you see the way she was staring at you? That… was AWESOME! I'm SOOOO jealous! What did you do to get her attention?"
Yellow shrugged. "I don't know…"
The kid chuckled. "C'mon! Let's go watch her beat up some bad guys!"
"Alright, I'm in." Yellow said. While she didn't want to encounter Undyne, she appreciated the extra company.
Monster Kid ran ahead, then tripped and fell on his face.
"Oh my god! Are you ok?" Yellow asked.
Monster Kid stood up. "Don't worry, this happens all the time, because I don't have arms." He then walked ahead.
Yellow began to follow, but first, she decided to touch the SAVE STAR that was there.
