Author's Note: This chapter will contain a flashback from YellowTale Prequel, which has not been made yet, so take this as a minor spoiler warning.

After a long trek, Yellow and Chuchu reached a house that looked like a fish. They could hear what sounded like someone playing the piano coming from inside. In front of the house stood Papyrus. Yellow approached the skeleton.

"OHO! THE HUMAN ARRIVES! I FOUND THIS ON MY WAY OVER HERE. I THINK IT BELONGS TO YOU!" Papyrus said, pulling something out from behind his back.

Yellow gasped. "My hat!" Yellow grabbed it and put it on her head. "Thank you so much Papyrus!"

"OF COURSE! ANYTHING FOR MY FRIEND!" Papyrus replied. "NOW, ARE YOU READY TO HANG OUT WITH UNDYNE?" Yellow nodded in response.

"I HAVE A PLAN TO MAKE YOU TWO GREAT FRIENDS!" Papyrus continued. "OKAY! STAND BEHIND ME! ALSO, MAKE SURE TO GIVE HER THIS! SHE LOVES THESE!"

Papyrus pulled out a bone with a ribbon wrapped around it. He then proceeded to knock on the door, and the piano music stopped. The door was opened, and Undyne stood behind it. Yellow was surprised to see how Undyne looked without her armor on. She expected Undyne to be more muscular, considering she was able to lift a boulder during their fight.

Undyne spoke. "Hi, Papyrus! Ready for your extra-private, one-on-one training?"

"YOU BET I AM!" Papyrus replied. "AND I BROUGHT A FRIEND!"

Papyrus stepped aside so Undyne could see Yellow.

"Hi, I don't think we've…" Undyne suddenly realized who she was talking to.

After a few moments of silence, Undyne, trying to hide her anger, finally spoke.

"Why don't. You two. Come in?"

Yellow followed Papyrus and Undyne inside.

Once inside, Papyrus spoke. "MY FRIEND BROUGHT A GIFT FOR YOU, ON THEIR OWN!"

Papyrus pulled out the bone, while Undyne tried not to snap.

"Thanks...I'll, uh, put it with the others."

Undyne opened a drawer filled with other bones and put Yellow's gift in.

"So, are we ready to start?" Undyne asked.

"WHOOPSY DOOPSY!" Papyrus shouted. "I JUST REMEMBERED! I HAVE TO GO TO THE BATHROOM! YOU TWO HAVE FUN!"

Papyrus then proceeded to literally throw himself out the window.

Yellow and Chuchu stared at the now broken window, baffled, until Undyne spoke.

"So why are you here? To rub your victory in my face? To humiliate me even further? Is that it?"

Yellow shook her head. "No, that's not it at all! I want to be your friend!"

Undyne laughed. "Really? How delightful! I accept!"

Chuchu scoffed at Undyne's sarcasm as she continued.

"Let's all frolic in the fields of friendship! NOT! Why would I ever want to be friends with you?! If you weren't my houseguest, I'd beat you up right now! You're the enemy of everyone's hopes and dreams! I WILL NEVER BE YOUR FRIEND. Now get out of my house!"

Papyrus suddenly appeared at the broken window. "DANG! WHAT A SHAME… I THOUGHT UNDYNE COULD BE FRIENDS WITH YOU. BUT I GUESS… I OVERESTIMATED HER… SHE'S JUST NOT UP TO THE CHALLENGE." Papyrus then ran away.

"CHALLENGE?!" Undyne shouted. "What?! Papyrus! Wait a second…! Dang it!"

Undyne looked at Yellow.

"He thinks I can't be friends with you?! Fuhuhu! What a joke! I could make friends with a wimpy loser like you any day! I'll show him! Listen up, human. We're not just going to be friends. We're going to be… BESTIES. I'll make you like me so much… You won't be able to think of anyone else! Fuhuhuhu! IT'S THE PERFECT REVENGE!"

Yellow wasn't sure if she should be excited or scared.

"Why don't you have a seat?" Undyne asked in a calm tone.

Yellow went to sit at the table, once she looked at the stuff in the house. She saw the dog that stole Papyrus's bones earlier as well.

"Comfortable?" Undyne asked. "I'll get you something to drink."

Undyne walked over to the fridge and got some drinks out.

"All set! What would you like?"

Yellow stood up to take a closer look at the drinks when Undyne threw a spear at the table, making Yellow sit down again.

"HEY!" Undyne yelled. "DON'T GET UP! YOU'RE THE GUEST! SIT DOWN AND ENJOY YOURSELF!"

"Ok ok, just don't throw spears at me." Yellow said.

"Why not just point to what you want? You can use my spear." Undyne suggested.

Yellow pointed to the boxes of tea bags. She remembered the first time she tried tea. Her friend Platinum gave her some and she liked it.

"Tea, huh? Coming right up!" Undyne said, walking to the counter.

"Thank you." Yellow replied.

"It'll take a moment for the water to boil." Undyne stated.

A couple minutes later, Undyne handed Yellow her tea, and sat down across from her. After blowing on the tea, Yellow took a sip. It tasted great.

"It's pretty good, right?" Undyne asked. Yellow nodded in agreement. "Nothing but the best for my ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS FRIEND!"

Chuchu took a sip and burned her tongue. Yellow giggled.

"Hey…" Undyne began, "You know… It's kind of strange you chose THAT tea. Golden flower tea…That's Asgore's favorite kind."

"The king…" Yellow thought.

Undyne continued. "Actually, now that I think about it…You kind of remind me of him. You're both TOTAL weenies!…Sort of."

Yellow pouted at being called a weenie.

"Y'know, I was a pretty hotheaded kid." Undyne admitted. "Once, to prove I was the strongest, I tried to fight Asgore. Emphasis on TRIED. I couldn't land a single blow on him! And worse, the whole time, he refused to fight back! I was so humiliated…Afterwards, he apologized and said something goofy… "Excuse me, do you want to know how to beat me?" I said yes, and from then on, he trained me. One day, during practice, I finally knocked him down. I felt…bad. But he was beaming. I had never seen someone more proud to get their butt kicked. Anyway, long story short, he kept training me… And now I'm the head of the Royal Guard! So I'm the one who gets to train dorks how to fight! …Like, uh, Papyrus. …But, to be honest… I don't know if I can let Papyrus into the Royal Guard. Don't tell him I said that! I mean, it's not that he's weak. He's actually pretty tough. It's just that…He's…He's too innocent and nice! I mean, look, he was SUPPOSED to capture you. And he ended up being FRIENDS with you instead! I could NEVER send him into battle! He'd get ripped into little smiling shreds. That's part of why I started teaching him how to cook, you know?"

Yellow nodded. "He really is nice."

Undyne looked at Yellow's mug. "Oh, sorry, I was talking for so long… You're out of tea, aren't you? I'll get you some more."

Undyne started to walk to the counter when she froze.

"Is everything ok Undyne?" Yellow asked, concerned.

"Wait a second." Undyne said slowly. "Papyrus… His cooking lesson… HE WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE THAT RIGHT NOW! And if HE's not here to have it… YOU'LL HAVE TO HAVE IT FOR HIM!"

Yellow gasped as Undyne jumped on the counter and kicked everything on the floor.

"That's right!" Undyne exclaimed. "NOTHING has brought Papyrus and I closer than cooking! Which means that if I give you his lesson… WE'LL BECOME CLOSER THAN YOU CAN EVEN IMAGINE! Fuhuhu! Afraid?! We're gonna be best friends!"

Yellow and Chuchu gulped as Undyne leapt off the counter and landed right next to the pair, grabbing them by their heads, and bringing them to the counter.

"Let's start with the sauce!" Undyne said, putting them down.

Undyne put down the vegetables. "Envision these vegetables as your greatest enemy! Pound them to dust with your fists! Like this!" Undyne slammed her fist on one of the tomatoes, squishing them. "Now you try."

Yellow closed her eyes. When she opened them, she was at the Unova League, almost three years prior. She had just beaten the Elite Four, and went to challenge the champion, Alder, but N, the king of Team Plasma, beat him first. Yellow battled N so he wouldn't force trainers to release their Pokémon. It had been a tough battle, both Yellow and N were at their last Pokémon, Chuchu vs N's Zoroark. Yellow called out a move.

"Chuchu! Iron Tail!"

As if time has slowed down, Chuchu jumped in the air, and her tail turned into iron. She slammed her tail onto Zoroark's head, causing it to faint. Yellow had won.

Yellow snapped back to reality by a bit of tomato flying on her face. She looked at the tomato. It had been squished. She looked at Chuchu, whose tail was now covered in tomato. Yellow realized that she actually told Chuchu to use Iron Tail. She then looked at Undyne, who looked pleased.

"Yeah! That's how you do it! Now, we add the noodles! Homemade noodles are the best! BUT I JUST BUY STORE-BRAND! THEY'RE THE CHEAPEST! NGAHHHHHHHHH! Uh, just put them in the pot."

Yellow picked up the noodles and put them in the pot.

"Alright! Now it's time to stir the pasta!" Undyne declared. "As a general rule of thumb, the more you stir… THE BETTER IT IS! Ready? Let's do it!"

Yellow carefully stirred the pasta, being careful not to spill.

"Stir harder!" Undyne demanded.

Yellow stirred harder, while Undyne yelled at her to stir even harder.

"Ugh, let me do it." Undyne said, pushing Yellow away.

She started stabbing the pot with her spear, while Yellow and Chuchu stood back.

"Fuhuhuhu! That's the stuff!" Alright, now for the final step: TURN UP THE HEAT! Let the stovetop symbolize your passion! Let your hopes and dreams turn into a burning fire! READY? Don't hold anything back!"

Yellow turned up the stove to the max, causing a small fire on the stove.

"Wait, that's too-" Undyne tried to say, but was cut off by the house being engulfed in flames.

"Man," Undyne said. No wonder Papyrus sucks at cooking. So, what's next? Scrapbooking? Friendship bracelets? …oh, who am I kidding. I really screwed this up, didn't I? I can't force you to like me, human. Some people just don't get along with each other. I understand if you feel that way about me. And if we can't be friends…That's ok. Because…If we're not friends… IT MEANS I CAN DESTROY YOU WITHOUT REGRET!"

Undyne summoned a spear, and a fight started.

"I've been defeated…" Undyne admitted. "My house is in shambles…I even failed to befriend you. That's it. I don't care if you're my guest anymore. One final rematch! All out on both sides! IT'S THE ONLY WAY I CAN REGAIN MY LOST PRIDE! NOW COME ON! HIT ME WITH ALL YOU'VE GOT! NGAHHHH!"

Yellow swung a punch at Undyne with all her might, but punched her softly.

"What. That's the best you can manage?" Undyne asked. "Even attacking at full force…You can't muster any intent to hurt me, huh?"

Yellow smiled shyly.

"Heh, you know what?" Undyne continued, dropping her spear. "I don't actually want to hurt you either. At first, I hated your stupid kindness schtick, but… The way you hit me right now, it…Reminded me of someone I used to train with. Now I know you aren't just some wimpy loser. You're a wimpy loser with a big heart! Just like him…"

Yellow smiled more. "Thank you."

"Listen, human." Undyne said. "It seems that you and Asgore are fated to fight. But knowing him… He probably doesn't want to. Talk to him. I'm sure you can persuade him to let you go home. Eventually, some mean human will fall down here… And I'll take THEIR soul instead! That makes sense, right? Fuhuhu. Oh, and if you DO hurt Asgore… I'll take the human souls… Cross the barrier… And beat the hell out of you! That's what friends are for, right? Now let's get the hell out of this flaming house!

After Yellow and Undyne got outside, Yellow had Rainy put out the house fire.

"Well, that was fun, huh?" Undyne asked. "We'll have to hang out some other time! But somewhere else I guess. In the meantime, I guess I'll go hang out with Papyrus. So if you need me, drop by Snowdin, ok? Well, see you later, punk!"

Undyne started to walk away when she stopped and turned around.

"By the way, could you deliver this letter to my friend Alphys for me? I'd do it myself, but I have my reasons not to."

"What are they?" Yellow asked.

"Two words." Undyne said. "HOTLAND SUUUUUCKS!"

Yellow giggled, taking the letter. "I'll be sure she gets it. See you later!"

Yellow and Chuchu started towards Hotland, taking the scenic route.
