"I AM NOT WORKING WITH A NAZI! I AM NOT WORKING WITH A NAZI!" Soldier yelled over and over while Merasmus dragged her in tow. It was worth the try when he told Soldier that he already met the Princess of Canopy Kingdom, but much to his dislike due to Soldier's early protests - Merasmus had to resort into dragging Soldier on the streets, regardless of unwanted attention and glances sent their way.
"You fool, we do not know what the Skullgirl is! And now you are openly volunteering we hunt the Skullgirl down!? We do not even know on whether exactly we are able to get back home!" Merasmus snapped as he ended up picking the Soldier up and slouching her by his shoulder before carrying her completely. "It's alright, everyone - This woman is just over fatigued! Go mind your businesses now!" Merasmus said loudly at the many people staring at them with mixed expressions.
"YOU SCUM-SUCKING-FRUIT-BASKET! I AM NOT OVER FATIGUED! PUT ME DOWN! NOOOOOOOWWW!" Merasmus mentally cursed to himself as he ignored Soldier's yelling and struggles to break free from him. But after five minutes of trying and failing, Soldier finally gave up before folding her arms while grumbling to herself as she remained slouched on Merasmus' shoulder, much to Merasmus' relief she finally stopped causing a scene.
Passing by streets and neon shining buildings, Merasmus was finally assured that he could put Soldier down and he did to which Soldier glared at him until noticing... "HOLY MARY MOTHER OF JOSEPH! CHILDREN BEING SNATCHED!"
Merasmus immediately turned his attention on the far end of the street, where it was not occupied of both pedestrians and vehicles alike. Soldier immediately charged across the widely open road, much do Merasmus' surprise. It was the sight of armed mafia group stuffing children onto a big van. "SOLDIER!" Merasmus called out before following behind immediately.
Soldier dashed forward, and to her surprise - Mafia armed with Tommy guns all turned their attentions at her. "Whoa! Who's this? Ey, Riccardo! This lady's-" *THWACK* Soldier slammed her shovel on the first mafia, a fat man who was too stupid enough not to avoid her.
"What the? Lawrence? Ah shit-" Soldier sent an uppercut at the second mafia, a slim man with a pointy mustache, Riccardo. The other armed mafia immediately reacted to this by raising their guns only for Soldier to pull out her Direct Hit only for Merasmus to quickly hover above the mafia and swing his staff at them. With one swing, the armed mafia were all shoved aside. "Get behind me, Soldier! Don't use your rocket launcher!"
"HEY, I AM NOT WASTING TIME WITH THESE MAGGOTS! I'LL JUST BLOW THEM TO PIECES!" "Not when there are children at risk!" They both argued as they took on the rest of the other mafia, who weren't all much of a challenge for them both.
"Who the hell are these guys supposed to be eh?" "Don't know, but let's get the hell outta here, Lawrence!" Soldier immediately noticed the two mafias she knocked over earlier made their escape, and just when she was just about to pursue them, Merasmus stopped him. "Let them go, Soldier. Cowards..." Soldier frowned, but to see Merasmus untying the crying, gagged children out of the van, Soldier's eyes went wide under her helmet out of anger. Children that looked about the age of 6 to 7. Possibly even 8 to 9. Badly beaten with bruises, and to make things even darker for her - Most of the little girls were half clothed. And these children were far too young to be minors, leaving the little boys, with bruise marks on their little fragile bodies.
"WHAT IN GEORGE WASHINGTON HAPPENED TO THESE CHILDREN!? WHY? WHY? WHYYYYYYYYY!?" "Soldier! Stop shouting! You are scaring the children!" Merasmus scowled as children cried, some of them anyway.
Thankfully Merasmus found a large rag inside the van, he had Soldier to help out tearing the large rag for covering the little girls that were crying. God knows what those mafias did to them...
"Could you put that thing away? You're scaring these children." Merasmus firmly said to Soldier who grumbled before putting away her Shotgun on her backpack, which Merasmus never took notice of since they got to New Meridian. The same backpack Soldier kept her rockets, shotgun shells and even her Shovel along with her Direct Hit and Beggars Bazooka. Merasmus cursed at this. "Did you stole an inventory spell on Bombinomicon? I swear to god, Soldier - There's been a missing page lately..."
"BOMBINOMICON SOLD IT TO ME BEFORE HALLOWEEN, MAGGOT! NOW I HAVE INFINITE STORAGE ON MY BACKPACK!" Soldier proudly responded while tearing some pieces of rag for Merasmus to cover the children's revealing areas.
As they were already finished on tending to the children, they were about to resolve into bringing the children to the nearest police department but unfortunately for Soldier and Merasmus - A slim, but athletically fit woman with blue hair jumped on top of the van and jumped in a seemingly quick motion up on the air before perfectly landing on the ground, like a ninja.
"OH, GREAT. WHAT THE HELL NOW? A SCANTILY CLAD NURSE WITH BIG REVEALING CHEST?" Soldier whined as she stared at the woman. Indeed she was wearing a nurse's outfit, even a white surgical mask. But on her lower body, she was clearly skin revealing. Her bare skin on her legs shin below thanks to the streetlights, only covered with long bandages down below knees with crossed shurikens - Leave only the most noticeable, was the upper side of her bare chest exposed and revealing.
"Hmph... It looks like someone already beat me up to it on rescuing hostages..." The Nurse said, in such a deep, seductive sounding voice. But not for Soldier though. For Soldier, this woman's just another obstacle in her battlefield.
"Soldier what is happening..? The children here are scared-" "STAND BACK, MERASMUS! I DON'T THINK I LIKE THE WAY THIS NURSE WOMAN STARES AT US!"
The Nurse raised a brow at this. Almost as if she was surprised and threatened by Soldier's statement. Indeed, Soldier was threatening her to stay away. "THIS IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, WOMAN! I SUGGEST YOU GET YOUR REVEALING ASS OUT OF HERE!"
The woman just rolled her eyes, but then snickered. "You don't suppose I'd take orders from you? A woman... Dressed like a man..? Don't make me laugh..."
Soldier gritted her teeth and clenched her fists before pointing a finger at the Nurse accusingly. "YOU WILL LEAVE THESE CHILDREN ALONE, OR I WILL KICK YOUR SCANTY ASS!"
The Nurse folded her arms on her perky chest. "Not until I bring them with me. They're the reason why I'm here-" "THEN COME AND GET THROUGH ME FIRST, WOMAN!" This surprises the Nurse. But chuckling shortly, she slowly pulled out a set of scalpels. "If you wish - Time for your physical..."
