(Team Fortress 2 Soundtrack: Intruder Alert)

Every soul inside the restaurant panicked. But no one dared to get in between the shootout that was currently happening. What appeared to be a military woman, if she was even in the military and all, was firing a shotgun at the two customers hiding behind a flipped table. No one, not even the guards and Nadia expected that the two men being fired upon were goons of the Medici Mafia.

Nadia's instinct by the time she snapped in reality was to attack, but considering that the pair of mafia were armed with Tommy submachine guns, and that their two buffed guards already shot and bleeding, Nadia instinctively tackled Minette out of the way and immediately flipped a table. "What is happening!? I heard gunshots!" The cook, and owner, Yu-Wan halfway emerged out of the kitchen doors but Nadia immediately shouted. "YU-WAN GET BACK INSIDE! WE GOT SOME ARMED MEDICI IN HERE!" Yu-Wan, however didn't got to respond as he immediately closed the door shut shortly before a stray bullet hit through one of the small windows on the doors.

By the time they were crouching behind a flipped table, Minette began stuttering. "Nadia they're destroying the restau-" "Just stay here and keep your head down!" Nadia immediately interrupted before jumping out of their little cover.

Her eyes met the pair of mafia backing away while spraying led at the woman who seemed to be easily avoiding the bullets. Trinity, what kind of human is this? Who even is this? She was just a new customer that passed by. Then started asking questions almost as if she literally is new to Little Innsmouth, and now... "PO-POW! YOU ARE WEAK, YOU ARE ALL BLEEDERS!" The supposed to be customer yelled. She certainly is a loud one... Nadia immediately shook her head out of her thoughts before rushing outside, chasing after the other three.

Seeing an opening to attack the slim mafia, who was busy reloading his gun, Nadia immediately dashed in all fours of her limbs and leapt above before sending an upper kick at the man's jaw, sending him flying back into the waters down the bridge.

"RICCARDO!" Nadia heard the fat mafia shouted but as she was about to intervene, the woman from earlier, charged at the fat mafia before landing a solid punch in the gut. "NEXT TIME, TRY PICKING ON SOMEONE YOUR AGE AND NOT A MINOR YOU DISGUSTING SON OF A BITCH!" Nadia was about to stop the woman while seeing that the woman swung her shotgun at the fat mafia upwards, and the mafia landed on the same spot where his slim pedophile buddy landed with a loud splash.

Nadia hissed with a glare before focusing her attention at the woman. "Hey! Lady!" Nadia called out. But as she ended the attention of the woman clad in what appear to be a men's foreign military outfit, Nadia frowned to see other woman clearly just looking at her with a smug grin. "Just what in the hell do you think you're doing?" Nadia demanded a she took a few stores forward with a firm look on her face. Clearly, the woman wasn't threatened as she simply just reloaded her shotgun before putting it back on her inventory back pack.

"NO NEED TO THANK ME, CIVILIAN! JUST DOING MY JOB!" The woman casually shouted in reply, even though they were only about six feet away from each other. Nadia face the woman a look. Is this woman insane? She swore to the Holy Trinity the woman was just smiling at her now. But then again... She remembered the woman mentioned that she's a mercenary. A war veteran, now turned soldier of fortune... Nadia focused her full attention at the woman, though kept wary just to be sure. "Who are you... Really? I can try to tolerate what you did back inside Yu-Wan's, but... Who are you?" Nadia demanded.

"I AM THE SOLDIER, SISTER! AND I KICK ASS FOR A LIVING! DOES THAT ANSWER YOUR QUESTION MAGGOT?" The woman replied proudly, while seemingly talking off her oversized helmet before wiping it clean with the sleeve of her red outfit. Nadia was about to protest as she frowned. But before she could even do so, a large towering saxophone man landed in front of the other woman, getting in between them.

"HEY! BIG BAND! I'M ON A MISSION HERE, MAGGOT!" The woman or, the Soldier yelled. "Soldier, I'm your backup remember? I saw a pair of Medici dealing with you so I had to come to your aid. Though, you don't look all beat up, but you alright?" Nadia here impatiently and folded her arms. "Hey! I'm right here you know!?" At this point, the large saxophone man got ready to fight, but the Soldier stopped him. "STOP MAGGOT! I WAS HELPING HER! I WAS JUST GETTING SOMETHING TO EAT BUT THEN THE WAITRESS IN THEIR RESTAURANT WAS BEING MOLESTED, SO I HAD TO HELP!" Nadia was taken surprise by this. She knew who the large saxophone man is, or... Was... But she knew that he isn't kindly easy on the locals that are only trying to protect Little Innsmouth due to vigilantism. "That true?" Big Band questioned sternly. Nadia didn't have much of a choice, but considering that it was all the truth that the Soldier mentioned, she nodded. "That's true officer. I just didn't expected her to be... Armed... That's all..." Nadia replied. But she could've sworn she felt his short glare by the first part of her statement.

"YOU KNOW THE CAT WOMAN, BIG BAND?" Soldier asked as she raised an eyebrow. "She's part of the Fishbone Gang... Vigilante locals trying to keep this community of the Dagonians safe. At least in their own method..."

Nadia felt insulted by that and spat a remark. "At least our intentions are clear and for the good of the people here! Unlike you and your bosses... Bunch of lab rats... Hmpf... Rescuing hostages my cat tail, you're just a group of underground illegal bunch ditched by the royal family." Big Band took a step. More likely, a stomp as his glare hardens. "What we do is for the people and the entirety of New Meridian. Say whatever you want, but if you dare to insult my people from Lab 8, I'll rip that head of yours and put it locked in a safe." HEY! HEY! CUT THE CRAP, MAGGOTS! WE'RE NOT ENEMIES HERE! OUR ENEMIES IS THE MAFIA, THE NAZIS LED BY THE FASCIST PRINCESS AND THE SKULLGIRL! WHATEVER THAT IS!"

Nadia was taken back in surprise, and so was Big Band. "You... You are working for them..? The lab freaks from the Anti-Skullgirl Labs? But... You were just offering your services to help us-" "She's currently an initiate. And she has a mission here on Little Innsmouth that doesn't involve harming anyone as part of her initiation test. And no. She is not going to help you and your group." Big Band responded flatly and added. "The last thing we need is more attention from-" "Target confirmed! Fishbone Gang member bargaining a deal -But with ASG personnel! Egrets, get ready!"

It was the sound of a strong, but young female voice. Soldier didn't looked alarmed, but rather confused the moment she saw a small chopper dropping down what she recognized from the news article to be the Princess of Nazi kingdom. Nadia on the other hand, slowly back away and was forced to shift closer to Soldier and Big Band as a group of armed Black Egrets began surrounding them, along with what appeared to be a towering necromancer, or wizard, backing them up. And finally, their leader, princess Parasoul, stepping forward with her fierce eyes facing Big Band directly. "It would seem the ASG labs have a lot of questions to answer, Ben..."

The original idea of Soldier and Merasmus being the main protagonists was mainly taken from two reasons:

1. The idea of their situation from trying their best not to kill each other to the struggle of working together.

2. Soldier, being the main star of the show, is a sort of tribute to Rick May, the Soldier's voice actor.
