Age 2 Months
Jiraiya and Tsunade, despite having kept their daughter a secret and not having raised a child before, they adapted quite well to caring for the two young blonds despite their many unique quirks.
One of the many things that always surprised both her and Jiraiya was their quietness. In fact the only times they can remember the kids crying was when they were apart for more than a few minutes.
The other major one was due to Tsunade and Jiraiya trying to stay undetected and often using both Henges and Genjutsus, to hide their appearances, was the kids always seemed to know who they were even when they had never seen that appearance before.
This led them to believe they were both sensors of some sort despite being only a few months old, however they did not know if this was due to the kyuubi or not, and that bugged them greatly.
Age 4 Months
Jiraiya and Tsunade began to call the twins their little proteges nearly 8-14 months sooner than most, both twins began to speak basic words and respond to others; they began calling Tsunade gma and Jiraiya gpa, as well as, repeatedly telling them very firmly "NO" every time they tried to separate the twins or give them a bath they both for some reason despised them.
One other peculiar thing was around this time as well was that every other night or so the twins would be found in the mourning not in their crib, instead they could be found curled up together in a ball under a couch pillow.
This greatly angered Tsunade when she could not find them the first time and began screaming that they were kidnaped before Jiraiya found them asleep on the couch.
This caused them to use their shinobi skills to watch the kids at night and despite their best efforts they never could figure out how they kept getting out, right under their noses.
This they simply could not believe two kids just over 4 months ESCAPED under the watch of TWO SANNIN. All Jiraiya could say about this was "what will they be like once we begin training them?"
Age 5 1/2 Months
Ever heard the tales of uber prestigious 6 month old babies walking?
Well, meet two of them; needless to say Jiraiya and Tsunade were impressed was an understatement.
The kids they already had a hard keeping track of now would just disappear randomly throughout the day.
Sitting in high chairs being fed, Disappeared for two hours and were found outside petting a fox and neither Jiraiya or Tsunade heard a door open and all the windows were still locked.
Locked in their room while Jiraiya met one of his contacts? Found taking a nap in Tsunade's pillow case in a different room right past where the meeting was taking place.
The most terrifying thing for them was when they took the kids outside to play, they were never found more than a 100ft from the house but finding kids not even 6 months old sitting in a tree was very concerning.
Despite their best effort to separate the kids so they can get used to being alone because Tsunade was cornered about them becoming depend on each other; they had little success, it took two cribs in separate room covered with every ounce of non harmful sealing knowledge the two of them possessed,including two solid barrier seals, to get one night they didn't sleep together; they were found on the couch together the second night.
To say they were dumbfounded was an understatement, they spent no less than two hours staring at the kids on the couch to try believe it, they still didn't. Jiraiya who did most of the work spent the next week pouting in disbelief.
Age 1 year, Just outside Konoha
When Hiruzen arrived at the cabin Jiraiya and Tsunade and moved to for the month, he did not expect to find two yellow blurs dashing around the house. These kids were not walking like some could do at this age, no he saw two yellow blurs running around and jumping off walls playing tag as if they were 5 or 6 times their age.
All he could say about them was "What kind of monsters did Minato and Kushina bring into this world? This is unbelievable."
Jiraiya retorts while Tsunade just chuckles "unbelievable is the story of their lives"
He asks "How is this possible, most kids their age can barely walk assied let alone show acrobatics academy students would be jealous of."
"Like he said, unbelievable is the story of their lives." Tsunade states
"What have you been teaching them" Hiruzen inquires
Jiraiya answers "The basics, we got them to use basic sentences and also … OOF"
At this time one of the twins thought using his back as a springboard was a good idea knocking him to the ground from the surprise.
"Basic movement skills, wall jumping tho, I have no idea where it came from." he finishes while Hiruzen just chuckles at the display.
"On a more serious note, anything from your spies?" Hiruzen asks, getting down to business.
"Nothing much, Iwa is still suffering there numbers are still less than half what they were before the war, Kumo is not much better, good news though not so much as a whisper about either Minato having a kid or a new host for the nine tales. Iwa sent a few spies out to look, but we already took care of them."
Hiuzen lets out a breath he didn't know he was holding, before responding "That's the first good news of the day, Today i had to execute no less than 3 of the civilian council for attempting to leak the secret, but sadly it was still let out that the nine tales was sealed into a pair of blond twins, so needless to say it's not safe for them in Konoha at the moment."
Tsunade chips in "that took longer than I thought." as she hands 1000 ryo to Hiruzen.
"It would appear the threat of a slow painful death worked for a while at least, one of them thought even when the sword was at his head that I wouldn't do it."
"You're getting soft sensei, although not too soft" Jiraiya states sarcastically.
Hiruzen suddenly grabs two blond blurs heading straight for his back out of mid air and says "Not this time"
Naruto starts "Not fair" "That's cheating" Naruko finishes
He pulls them into a hug and says "Sadly I must get going the anbu caught onto my clone, they are now searching for me, I have far too much paperwork today and I don't want to give this position away"
With that said he lets go of them and disappears in a swirl of flames and leaves.
The twins turn to their grandparents and ask "we can learn?"
Tsunade corrects them "no , it is can we learn, not we can learn, and not today mably in a few years"
Naruko and Naruto start pouting with their arms crossed with the infamous puppy dog eyes looking absolutely adorable straight at her eyes and say together "Pretty please"
She quickly looks away and says "No, i know that trick i'm not falling for it again, no extra candy nor anything else it wont work"
"That's" "Not" Fair" they say taking turns.
Age 2 ½
The last year and a half was relatively uneventful, traveling around the world moving places every month.
The biggest things of note were there ludicrous thirst and desire to learn and most days were just the twins asking questions about literally anything "Why is the sky blue", why do plants grow" "when can we start our ninja training" its this last comment that really annoys Jiraiya and Tsunade because they want to give the kids the best childhood they can so Jiraiya asks in response "Why do you want to be a ninja so bad? You two aren't even 3 yet"
Both twins were taken back by this normally their grandparents just brush the question off; so they begin to think.
After a few minutes Naruko begins "Well, like you always told us this world is not all sunshine and rainbow" Naruto takes over "This world is harsh and unforgiving, we know the only reason ours is due to your skills and keeping us on the move" she starts again "Like how you said with our parents they died to protect us and Konoha" Naruto take over again "We want to be able not only to protect ourselves but help you two as well" they finish together "Because we can only do that if we are strong enough to not only protect ourselves but everyone precious to us as well"
Unsurprisingly both Jiraiya and Tsunade flabbergasted at their grandkids answer. They stood there for about 5 minutes before they looked at each other, almost having a silent discussion before Jiraiya asked "So, what do you know about chakra?"
Naruto starts with Naruko alternating "according to the books we borrowed from you" "chakra is the mixture of ones spiritual and physical energy" "spiritual energy would com from ones soul and physical energy comes from ones body" "It also stated finding the balance in one's energies creates more dense chakra"
"Perfect anwer. Now we need you to find and get a feeling for your chakra" Tsunade proudly states
Jiraiya finishes with "Now the best way to do that is to meditate and reach inside yourself for a warm energy; so take a seat, get comfortable and be patient. It normally takes most academy students 2-3 days to find it."
Both twins take a seat, look at eachother then close their eyes and begin to meditate.
Tsunade whispers to Jiraiya "1000 ryo they get it in an hour" he retorts "I know a fool's bet when i see it, i say 30 mins"
15 mins later
Jiraiya and Tsunade when back in the cabin while the kids do their thing, Tsunade remarks "Keeping the busy on something so i can get a nice few shot of glorious sake is getting harder and harder"
"Yeah well, it's a good idea, if they found us drinking it and told them they cant till they are older they would just do it behind our backs." he wisely responds
"Never knew you could spout such… t-this chakra"
They both suddenly dash outside to see both twins with smirks on their faces and massive amounts of chakra just pouring off of them so much so the ground under them was cracked and cratering; the wind was howling from the amount of pressure they were giving off.
But the most unbelievable part was the grass around them was rapidly growing and changing to a very vibrant green, the flowers that were just starting to sprout in the early spring were looking at full bloom; and the trees were the most out standing, they were growing at a ludicrous rate they were now 20-30 feet taller than the others and many times larger in diameter, Tsunade remarks "Only my grandfather could grow trees this fast it couldn't be no one else ever inherited it."
Jiraiya shouts "KIDS STOP, RELEASE YOUR CHAKRA, EVERYONE FROM HERE TO IWA WILL BE ABLE TO FEEL IT"
As he shouts this, the kids begin to let go of their chakra, the plants stop growing and the winds die down along with the pressure.
Tsunade thinks out loud "Dear lord each one of them already has more chakra than both of us combined its already beyond kage level"
Naruto yells "I knew we were awesome believe it" Naruko cuts in"2-3 days sure, try more like less than half an hour"
Jiraiya "says even though we are still in fire county with the amount you two just let off everyone from Konoha, Suna and Iwa will come here looking for us." he lets out a major sigh "Can't anything with you two be normal, alright you know the drill, grab everything thing that belongs to us ill get rid of the trees don't need anyone to know about that."
As the kids run off Tsunade replies "yeah we definitely don't need that getting out, lets head back towards konoha sensei should be informed."
"No, he doesn't, until they return there for good we will keep this under wraps the less people that know the better." he responds while burying the trees with a Doton jutsu.
"Ok, let's head for the far side of the county then put as much distance between us and here as possible." she states
"Agreed, Kids let's get going"
