Natasha was suspicious.
Very suspicious.
The reason for this?
Steve, Tony, Thor, and Clint.
The four men, after six days of being wary about the idea of waking Bruce up, suddenly decided it would be a great idea to stop pumping him with sedatives and let him come out of the peaceful world of sleep.
Natasha was being told this by Tony, who was fidgeting under her suspicious glare.
"Why now?" She demanded.
"Well... we decided that Brucie Boy should wake up now. He has, after all, been sleeping for six days."
"Yes Tony, you just told me you wanted to wake him up." Natasha told him, voice dripping with annoyance and veiled threat. "I asked you why?"
"Uuumm..." It was quite clear Tony was frantically searching for an answer that she-someone who had been training since childhood how to tell when someone was lying-would believe.
Natasha raised her eyebrows, and tapped her foot.
"I checked Bruce's brain scans, and they were perfectly fine! Nothing! No potentially fatal mental diseases or anything! It's all good! So we decided that since everything was fine, we could wake him up!"
Natasha didn't believe him for one second.
He was looking down, there was sweat on his forehead, and his fingers tapped against his leg nervously.
"Tony, there are several ways to tell when someone is lying." Natasha listed all the things she just noticed. And that's not even close to all of them. So next time you try to lie to me, keep that in mind."
Natasha stood up, and walked towards the door.
Before she exited she called: "I will find out what you're hiding. And if it's about something I don't like, then..."
She smiled evilly at the terrified genius.
"They don't call me Black Widow for nothing."
