Years before the guest arrived, inside The Estate.
The view opens on the estate, in the middle of the day. While this view may look lovely, the sound of screams from within. Pulling into the hidden meeting room, we see a man beating his wife. He had slapped her so hard that she fell to the ground. Covered in bruises and blood spill from the split lip. She lays down on the floor for a few moments before getting to her knees. Her husband, readjust his tie before grabbing his glass of brandy.
"You need to stop making me do that." The man said scolding as he downs half a glass of brandy. Gaining no attention from his wife he tossed his empty glass down hard, nearly hitting her head as it smashes in front of her. "Hey! Remember, this is your fault. I hope our daughter has more sense than you."
He then made himself another glass of Brandy before walking out the door. He stopped halfway before snapping at her. "Pick that mess up. I'd hate to cut my feet on your failures."
He walked off, taking a sip from his brandy along the way. The wife continued to stare at the broken glass before quietly reaching out to it. She proceeded to pick it up slowly. Cutting herself on the small but sharp pieces when a feminine calming but seductive voice can be heard within her own head.
"Oh poor dear, how much longer must he hurt you?" The voice asked before going silent for a few moments. "I can give you the strength to kill that horrible man, but first, you must allow me to… change you."
The woman stopped picking up glass upon those words. She was hesitant about it but looking down at her hands, and how they bled from the tiniest of shards, something… snapped in her mind. Quietly she whispers aloud, "What must I do?"
The voice remains quiet before speaking once more. "Be at your pool when the tide is at its strongest. At the stroke of midnight, removed your clothes and dive into the water. Remain below the surface and I shall gift to you the strength of the sea's itself."
The woman nods and she prepared herself. A month goes by before the moon was at the right angle. There she waited till midnight with nothing but a robe on. Her husband had beaten her some more and she was all more eager to kill him. As she stares intently at the water, a sudden voice called out to her from behind.
"Are you going to tuck me into bed?" A child's voice ask from behind. Nearly spooking the woman. Looking behind her, was her daughter. She was wearing her pajamas and holding her favorit doll tightly.
The woman looked on with sadden eyes before giving a fake smile. She responded. "I'll be in to do that momentarily dear… just, give mommy a few more minutes."
The little girl nods before walking back inside towards her room. The woman however turn back to the pool. It was midnight and her desire to be free from her abusive husband, overrides all other thoughts, even the safety of her daughter. She stands up and disrobes. Completely naked she dives on in and the transformation had begone. Meanwhile her husband, drunkenly stumbles out into the pool patio. He takes another swig of brandy, before noticing his wife's clothes. Angered at this small bit of laundry he looks around for his wife to violently scold her.
"Stop playing games, Madison! I thought we had an agreement that you won't be a slob anymore!" The husband shouts before taking a sip from his glass. As he does he notice his wife swimming around in the pool. What he didn't notice, was that her feet had merged into a scaly fish tail. Thinking she was hiding from him he shouts at her. "GET OUT OF THE FUCKIN POOL!"
She then emerges from the pool, but only to grab him by his vest and pull him in. Her lips were silted, teeth had narrowed and became more needle like fangs, and her fingers had sharpen into claws. Before the abusive husband can do anything, he was dragged down into the pool, with his screams never reaching the surface as he was ripped to blood shreds. The view pulls away from the pool and up into the house, where it transitions into the Lounge room.
Minutes after preforming the Exorcist, 6 hours to sunrise
Sun sat back with his head in his hand. The group staring at him with different emotions to his words. He had just confessed to murdering Weiss in the last challenge. Ruby was mortified from the last challenge, and now losing her partner had taken a more severe toll on her mind. Jaune was absolutely infuriated by Sun's actions. He still blames him for Pyrrha's death, but now he see's him as nothing more than a coward for killing Weiss unintentionally. Penny felt sorry that she will have to report the death of Weiss Schnee, but was sadder to see her death having an unpleasant effect upon her best friend. Nora was absolutely racked with guilt. In the last game, she had written Weiss's name. It felt like she had blood on her hand, and the fact that she wasn't sure if she had written Ren's name in wayed on her conscious. Finally, there was Blake. She can see the guilt on his face. She was saddened by Wiess's death, but she knew full well that this house tricks people. She could only pray to the gods that if they survive, the guilt won't destroy them.
"… (Sigh) So… what now?" Penny asked gaining the attention from everyone.
"What now? I think it's obvious what we do." Jaune said with a temper as he stands up. "We get rid of the son of bitch."
Sun didn't respond. He continued to look down with harden eyes. This seem to spark anger in Jaune and he was about to confront him when Blake stopped him. "Jaune, it wasn't Sun's fault! The house tricked him."
"Pretty convenient excuse Blake. Someone dies, it ain't there fault. It's the houses." Jaune snaps.
"That's because it's true Jaune. I am sorry for Weiss's death. I really am, but it wasn't Sun's fault." Blake argued back.
"Huh, well, if it isn't then who is? The people who voted her in!? Maybe your right, but who voted her in? Was it you?" Jaune argued back in anger.
"Don't be ridiculous. I put my name in." Blake said in her defense.
"Oh really, you sure you didn't see an opening to kill of a Schnee. Maybe you're in league with the evil, after all, you may still be a part of the White Fang." Jaune accused in a mad fit of anger.
Angered by the mere accusation, Blake slapped Jaune across the face. Jaune stammers back before looking up at her. Blake had lost her cool and acted out. She lets out a small sigh before saying in a serious tone. "(Sigh) Don't even go there, Jaune Arc. I am no longer a part of the White Fang, and it wasn't Sun's fault for anyone dying."
The room goes silent. Jaune continued to stare in disbelief for a few moments. He remains quiet for a few moments before opening his mouth to argue back when Ruby finally intervened. "Guys that's enough. If anyone is here to blame for the deaths. It's me. I brought us here, I should have stopped this long before, maybe even reach out to my dad. So, if you want to blame anyone. Blame me."
Ruby could hardly hold back the tears before falling back against the couch. Crying insistently. This shook the group out of it agitated state and reminded them that they were all tricked into coming here. More of the weight for those who had died fell on poor Ruby. So why bother bickering? Jaune returned back to his seat while Penny went on to comfort Ruby. The group remained in silence till about ten minutes later when the clock chimed two times. After the second chime, Blake realized the time and once more took control.
"(Sigh) Guy's as horrible as this all been, we need to keep going. Or else all these deaths would have been for nothing." Blake remarks.
"Yeah… we need to keep going." Jaune said in a guilty tone. Feeling bad for snapping at Blake. Jaune then looked down at the book Sun brought back from the previous challenge. He quickly picked up the book and turn to Sun before asking. "Sun, is this the next clue to finding the former owner?"
"Yeah. That Priest wrote about each of the former owners." Sun said still feeling guilty for his broken promise to his best friend.
"Then, let's see where this takes us." Jaune said as he picked up the journal. He flipped through the pages till finally coming to one with a sketch of a mermaid. He then read the following passage aloud. "Madison developed a taste for men and soon the pool was filled with her victims. In time her conscience began to whisper and the guilt weakened her. The house moved on to another owner keeping her trapped in the house. The key to her room rests on the first floor and can only be found by breaking open the world."
Everyone looked around before spotting a globe. Without thinking Nora walked on over and in a mournful anger she ripped the globe from its base and tossed it on the ground before stomping on it. She broke the globe in half but surprisingly, it had no key. So, she went looking for more globes to destroy. Everybody quickly joined in. They had a long night and with so many dead they just needed a way to let out their anger. That resulted in multiple globes and maps being torn to shreds. It wasn't till they came to small atlas figure holding up a globe did they found the key. Despite retrieving it, Sun tossed it out the window. While petty it did made him feel better. It was a key to the master bathroom on the second floor. The last room on the second floor. The group heads upstairs to that room before Sun unlocked the door. Upon opening it, the group was hit with a thick condensation like fog.
It was like someone had turn on the shower at full heat and locked the doors. They stumble around a bit till they round the corner into the shower room. Ruby being the first inside let out a horrified scream at what she saw in the shower. A naked woman, bound in chains but it wasn't this sight that was horrifying. The woman had no legs, only a scaley fish's tale, and a gruesome slit smile with jagged teeth. She was absolutely terrifying to look at. The rest gave a similar response to the horrific amalgamation of woman and fish. If this was what a Mermaid looked like in real life then that kid's movies would have gotten a higher rating then PG
"Please help me." The woman begged as she rattled her chains in desperation. "The house, the house… it lied to me. It said I would be free, but it has trapped me here."
Everyone remained quiet. Unsure what to do. Eventually Blake spoke up, she knew what it's like for someone to promos you one thing but taken it too far. "W-What happened to you?"
"… I… I hated my husband… he was a very, very bad man. He would beat me regular, sometimes he'd try and beat our daughter. So… I made a deal for power to kill him. I then started killing others, other's who have been kinder and didn't deserve it. I try to give this power up but the house wouldn't allow it... but, that isn't the worst part. I've lost my daughter. The only way I can be unbounded and see my beloved once more is if I have her favorit doll and made right with those whom I killed."
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. How can we help?" Penny asked trying to be polite.
The woman then turns her eyes towards Penny, or at least that's what they thought. Till she pointed behind her. On the counter was a red leather book. She then explained. "I wrote the names, of the innocent men that I have murdered in the diary on the counter. Those names, they need to be measured by the letter in coin. My Husband, heh, my god awful husband, kept a stash of old golden coins, in the secret room downstairs. There is enough to repay them. Once you have the right amount, you must retrieve the bodies that are at the bottom of the pool… but you must be careful. My wicked sisters. Others who have fallen for the siren's curse and gave up on their humanity. You must lure them away otherwise they shall tear you to pieces."
"Oh… great." Nora said sarcastically. Then again, she did recall seeing something moving about in the pool earlier in the night. "I doubt any of us wants to be live bait."
"You don't have to. There is a special melody, sung by the original mermaid, Azalea. Her siren voice is a calling message to other merfolk. I have it locked downstairs in the same room, the names in my diary will reveal the code. Please, hurry. I yearn to make amends with my child and to be free of this curse." The woman explained. With that bit of information, the group quickly heads downstairs. Only roughly six more hours to sunlight and they have three more former owners after to help.
Down in the secret meeting room, they found a locked chest at the end of the room. It was locked with a three-number combination. So quickly the group got to work looking around for the coin or a clue to what they needed to do. As they looked around, Sun spotted the cult's symbol on the side of a strange weight contraption. Realizing that he called out to his friends and he read the following aloud, "The weight of sin will open the door to a song."
So they quickly looked around for anything sin worthy to weight it in. They couldn't find anything. They tried alcohol, the relic, Jaune even suggested Blake to sit on it. Sadly, none of these things worked. With little hope to figure out the riddle, or Weiss's brains to cleverly come up with a solution they turned to the spirit board. They had faired pretty well without it but they had spent the better part of fifteen minutes looking for it. Calling upon the spirit board, Nora asked the board 'Where is the weight in sin?' Sure enough the board lights up, giving a hint. Spelling out the word, F-L-O-O-R.
They realized it was on the floor and quickly went back inside to check it. After a few moments, Penny noticed a small grate and recalled how a WF infiltrate used one to enter a SDC factory. She open the grate and removed a hidden box. Inside the box was a huge sack filled with hundreds of gold coins. Placing that bag on the scale they inserted the number, only to find that was the wrong number. Unsure, Sun suddenly recalls that the three unfortunate victims must be paid for in gold. Or in her words, 'Those names, they need to be measured by the letter in coin.'
Sun quickly poured the coins out and counted the letters in all three names. For every letter he inserted a coin. Once done he place the bag onto the scale getting a new number. This time it worked. Inside the chest they removed a vinyl record with instructions on how to use it.
"Play this record to lure the sisters to you, note until they reach source of the song, they shall continue to follow it." Nora read aloud.
"Huh, so we can lure them away, but when they get to the song they will come running back?" Sun asked.
"That's what the note say's." Nora explains showing the note.
"Alright. Guess We'll have someone run around with the music and keep them away from the pool." Jaune remarked with some excitement about how easy it will be.
"That's… not likely. Doubt any of us will keep them away from the pool rushing that around." Blake said pointing to the record player. It was big, bulky, and unlike a boom box the record could get scratch while running.
"Maybe we can lure them away? And hold them inside?" Ruby suggested.
"That could work. Though where would we hold them?" Penny asked.
"The house?" Jaune suggested.
"No, there are too many doors and windows for them to escape from." Blake pointed out.
"… Oh, what about the pool house. Only one door and the windows are too small to climb out of." Nora said with a snap of her fingers.
"Nora that's genius." Ruby praised realizing that could work.
"Alright, but who will hold the door?" Sun asked, causing everyone to look at him. "What? I doubt a flimsy little lock will hold them inside."
"Well, in that case I suppose I can lean against the door should these fish woman try and break free." Penny volunteered.
"You sure about this Penny?" Ruby asked concerned for her friend.
"Quite. Even then I'm a terrible swimmer. So at least I'll be helpful." Penny replies.
"Well alright then. Guess that's that." Jaune said before approaching the Vinyl player.
He carried the heavy vinyl player outside to the pool house. Making sure he wasn't spotted as the group watches from a safe distance. In the water they can see two beautiful women with the same horrific slit grin's swimming about. As soon as Jaune played the melody did they enter a trance like state. They left the water, with their scales slowly dissipating under a lair of skin. Only trace of there inhuman nature left is there gills and fangs. The two mermaids entered the pool house, all while silently Penny sneaks around front and closed the door. Upon that the music stopped a horrific scream can be heard from within. The two sea devils begin clawing at the door, trying to get out. Only thing keeping them in was Penny.
"Now would be a good time to retrieve the bodies!" Penny shouted out as she held back the door.
The rest quickly raced on over to the pool, within it's shallow depts were three bodies, chained down by cement blocks. Other then the question of how they missed this when they first arrived, was how to retrieve them. As Jaune and Sun looked around for something to use when they heard a sudden splash. Turning around they already see Ruby in her undergarments in the pool.
"Ruby what are you doing!" Jaune questioned.
"Someone has to grab these guys. And this is the quickest way." Ruby explains as she quickly got use to the cold water.
"Are you mad they could break through that door at any moment!" Sun shouted out.
"Ten minutes by my cal… I mean guess!" Penny called out from the side.
"Then we don't get a lot of time. Side's I'm a very good swimmer." Ruby replies.
"Well, then I'll go in with you." Jaune said as he quickly goes to undo his shoes.
"Dude, you're a terrible swimmer. Let me do it." Sun said trying to stop him.
"That was one time, and my pants were around my leg." Jaune protested.
"In the school fountain. Let me, I'm not going to let another person die." Sun said still trying to get Jaune to stop when suddenly they were covered by a dress and a splashing sound is heard. Looking over they see Blake swimming with Ruby in their underwear.
"If you boys are done, we got bodies to bring up." Blake scolded as she takes a deep breath and swims under.
"Yeah." Ruby said in agreement before swimming under.
"… What just happened?" Jaune asked unsure what he just saw.
"You two were too busy arguing in the friend zone to notice two cute gal's going skinny dipping." Nora said joking as she approached the side of the pool.
While that wasn't exactly true, there bickering didn't exactly help the situation. Blake and Ruby swam down to the bottom of the pool to retrieve the bodies. As disturbing as it was to retrieve corpses from the bottom of the pool, at least they already decayed to the point that they were little more than clumps of flesh holding the bones. Which didn't exactly saying much. As they got down to them, they found the chains were tangled in an assortment of knots and wraps of chains. So to free them, they had to swim up for air every few moments before descending down to retrieve the corpses. Eventually they got there first one untangled and had it float towards the group. They pulled the corpse from the water and stuffed his pocket with gold. They continue this process until the second corpse, when Jaune was stuffing the pockets he felt something strange. It was a silver pocket watch with the cult symbol on it. While inspecting it he found a strange inscription upon the back.
"The moon commands the waters and tells it what direction to flow, from new moon to full moon." Jaune read aloud.
"Huh, that was strangely pacific." Nora remarks.
"Yeah… think it's a clue?" Jaune asked showing Neptune's cult symbol on the watch.
"Maybe, I don't…" Before Nora could finish Ruby emerges from the water and screamed out to everyone.
"Hey guys, we just found something!" Ruby shouted as Blake swam up with something. The two carried the object to the side of the pool. It was a locked chest of sort. With a combination on it. The cult symbol was on the chest so they knew it was of great importance.
Trying to figure it out, Sun recognizes something off about the turtle statues lining the pool. On the back of each turtle was a carved picture of a moon on it's back. Each turtle had a different phase of the moon. Realizing this Jaune showed the watch off and they quickly got to work. Penny was barley holding back the battered door and they needed to hurry. Each turtle had small figurine turtles by the side and it became apparent that they represent a combination. Using the moon cycle as reference they found the combination to be 5-3-4-2. It worked and Blake retrieved a waterlog wooden tablet of some kind. It had important words written on it but they had no time. The group quickly raced over to house with Ruby being the last one inside.
"Penny come on!" Ruby called out.
Penny was holding the battered door, barley preventing the foul creatures from smashing it to pieces when she heard Ruby's voice. Acting quick she waited for the opportune moment before racing towards the door. The creatures only slowed down by the door, were quick to catch up. They had only missed her by an inch as she dived into the house and subsequently on top of Ruby. However the door was open, allowing the creatures to enter… yet they didn't. Seems they are just as frighten of the evil within the house as the group is. They dared not past the door, simply they hiss at the two before returning back to there domain. Dragging their poor victims, the group had risked to bring up with them. Seeing this, both Ruby and Penny let out a sigh of relief. Who would have thought that mermaids be fast on land? After a few moment's Ruby quickly got to her feet and closed the door to the pool. She turned to Penny and offered a hand. The two now standing headed to the Lounge room where the others were waiting. However, it seems that the mood had sour in the brief few moments since they all saw each other.
"Um, excuse me but did something happen?" Penny asked the group.
"Something like that." Jaune said in a cold tone.
"We're going to have to vote… again." Blake added as she handed Ruby the plaque.
Curious, Ruby looked down at it and found the instructions written on the side to be concerning. 'The doll dwells inside a wicked little house, which waits in the north corner on the third floor. Two must enter and place this tablet on the mantle outside the room and the door will be opened in a moment, but what lies inside will haunt them FOREVER…'
"Oh no." Was Ruby's only response as she falls back onto a lounge chair.
"Yeah… this… this just sucks." Sun remarks.
"Understatement of the night." Nora remarked as she looked up at the ceiling in despair.
"I'm afraid this would be inevitable." The Butler remarks as he brings out the top hat and paper. "But for you to retrieve that doll you must select a name."
As horrible as that is it was an unfortunate part of the trial to escape this horrific place. So with multiple groans of anguish and despair, the group waited for Ruby and Blake to dry off with some towels the Butler had retrieved. Once dry enough Sun and Jaune removed their shirts and handed it to Blake and Ruby. They had left their clothes outside and they want to wait a bit before retrieving them. Once waring the button-down shirts and mostly dry, the group slowly dragged themselves to the butler and wrote a name. No point in complaining now, the challenge ahead if they hadn't already broken then this one might as well. With the names casted the Butler shook his hat and randomly selected a name.
"Blake." He called out.
"(Sigh) Great." Blake said in a hopeless tone.
Following her name, the Butler selected another name. Calling her out, "Penny."
"Oh dear. Seems my luck has run out." Penny remarks feeling a ping of nervousness.
"I'm sorry but I'll escort you both upstairs." The Butler replied. The two gave a nod before following the man up.
Before heading up Penny turned around and waved to Ruby who did the same. Nobody was more distraught then Ruby. She knew that one of her close friends will die. As much as she hoped that they would survive, she knew deep down. This may be the last time she would see either one alive. The butler leads them to the third-floor room before returning downstairs.
This was the first anyone came up here, it seems that the third floor had fewer rooms then the downstairs. First door from the stairs held a cultist symbol. Realizing what needed to be placed there Blake set's the tablet down and the door unlocked itself. Terrified about what they will find inside, Blake heads inside only to find a horrifying sight. Dolls. So… many… dolls. And they weren't normal dolls either. They all looked horrible mutilated, smashed, burned, and impaled. And seeing that there were hundreds of these ugly things, left a disturbed feeling in Blakes mind. Penny however wasn't as disturbed by this as Blake. She was use to seeing old doll heads gather dust in her father's workshop. As they slowly made there way though they came upon three tables. Two having these huge doll house and the one in the middle holding a few things. Two small leaflets, two wine glasses, a 30-minute sand glass, and a small note.
"Both of you take a drink if you want to know more." Penny read the note aloud.
"Really. Drink a strange liquid. That seems safe." Blake remarks sarcastically as she picks up the wine glass. Taking a small sniff, it had a horrible cherry odder. Like it was cough syrup or something.
"Sadly, we must partake for us to continue." Penny remarks as she picks up hers. She then raised her glass up to Blake in a toast. "At the same time?"
"(Sigh) Suppose so." Blake said as she held up hers. The two chime the glasses and threw back the drink. Only to get hit by an awful taste in their mouths.
As awful as that was, a knock on the closet door was heard and a letter slid towards them. Racing over to pick it up Penny grabbed it and read the first part. "You just drank poison."
The two go silent as Blake slapped her side in disbelief. Muttering, "Should have seen this one coming."
Continuing on Penny continued to read. "Sorry about that, but it was quite funny from where I am standing. In the next thirty-five minutes you will drop dead. There's only one portion of the antidote and the only way to retrieve it is to search your side of the room for three dolls that best reflect the rhymes in your own storybook. Place these dolls in their proper setting the house that reflect the rhymes before putting the book down. Upon doing so, the one who follow the rhymes better shall receive the antidote. If you fail you shall receive more poison. Please flip the thirty-minute glass timer and begin reading your rhymes." Penny read. The two turn to each other before realizing the clock had begone. They moved to there doll houses flipping the sand glass and got to work on there nursery rhymes.
"Lizzie Borden: Lizzie Borden took an axe, and gave her mother 40 whacks; When she saw what she had done, gave her father 41." Blake speed read through before searching for a doll with an axe and two others who got the whacks.
Meanwhile Penny had difficulty with her first one. "Little General Monk: Little General Monk, Sat upon a trunk, Eating a crust of bread; There fell a hot coal, And burnt into his clothes a hole, Now little General Monk is dead; Keep always from the fire, If it catch your attire; You too, like General Monk, will be dead."
Penny quickly raced around the room searching for something that looked like a general. Blake however had managed to find the homicidal little girl and her butchered family. She set them up just like the nursery rhyme had foretold before getting to work on the next rhyme.
"Old Father Longlegs: Old father Long-Legs; Can't say his prayers: Take him by the left leg, And throw him down the stairs. And when he's at the bottom, Before he long has lain, Take him by the right leg,
And throw him up again." Blake mumbled again before looking at Penny. "These are some really bloody nursery rhymes."
"Agreed. It's strange why Adult's criticize video games and love novels when the rhymes they listen too as children are completely barbaric." Penny remarks before finding a burnt looking general doll. She set him up like her nursery rhyme before starting the new rhyme. "Dead Was She on Friday: I married a wife on Sunday, She began to scold on Monday, Bad was she on Tuesday, Middling was she on Wednesday, Worse she was on Thursday, Dead was she on Friday, Glad was I on Saturday night, To bury my wife on Sunday."
She quickly scan the pile of dolls, looking for any that looked like she was recently buried. Meanwhile Blake had tossed Old Father Longlegs up and down the stairs before getting started on her last Nursery rhyme. "Black and Blue: I charge my daughters every one, To keep good house while I am gone, You and you and especially you, Or else I'll beat you black and blue."
Blake got to work looking for three dolls that looked like they were abused, meanwhile Penny had caught up with Blake and had begun reading her last poem. "There Was an Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe: There was an old woman who lived in a shoe. She had so many children, she didn't know what to do; She gave them some broth without any bread; Then whipped them all soundly and put them to bed."
She quickly looks for a crone lady and the abused children. Problem with the last one had so many children but the question of how many is to little or to much? So they begin questioning themselves. Wondering which it the right number. After five minutes Penny was positive, she got the right number and quickly rushed to slap her book down. Blake seeing this panicked and did the same thing. Sadly she was too slow and Penny beat her by a second. Upon slapping the book down, a secret compartment opened up and a vial filled with a strange green liquid popped out on Penny's side.
She uncorked it before turning to Blake. "Ms. Belladonna. In case this kills me, can you do something for me?"
"Um… sure. I'll try." Blake said not feeling comfortable about taking a final request.
"Please make sure that you do everything in your power, to keep Ruby safe. Along with that please investigate something on Ms. Valkyrie." Penny requested.
"I can try and keep the first one, but what do you mean investigate Nora?" Blake asked.
"Well, when we were voting for someone to enter the exorcist challenge, I thought I saw her put Ms. Schnee's name into the hat." Penny said before swirling the liquid. "I'm not trying to cause any discourse, but if Ms. Schnee's death were the result intentional or not of Ms. Valkyrie then she must be confronted for it."
"I… I don't know what to say. Are you sure you saw her do it?" Blake asked completely flabbergasted that Nora would do such a thing.
"Completely so… Oh, like I said I don't mean to spread any discourse but if I die this matter must be fully investigated." Penny answers before looking down at the liquid. She wasn't sure if this stuff would kill her. She was not flesh and blood. So maybe the poison wouldn't kill her. Regardless she wished not to leave it to chance. "Well, here I go. Please tell Ruby not to blame herself. I voted for myself and I shall suffer the consequences of this. Also… she was the bestest of friends that I could ask for."
With those words she put the vial to her lips. She chugged the mysterious liquid. Unsure what it will do to her. At first, it felt like nothing. Then she couldn't breathe. Her body begin to stiffen like her blood had turn to glue. All she could do is gurgle in agony before collapsing onto the doll house. Crushing it and the table underneath her body. Blake could only stare on in disbelief that another one of Ruby's friend had died. Her thoughts however were quickly put aside when another knock on the door was heard. A new letter was slid under and Blake quickly went to it.
She opened the letter to find a simple note. "The antidote is attached to the back of the drawer." She turned around and spotted a drawer. She felt around the back and found a new vial, this one with an orange substance. Not sure if she can trust it she hesitantly threw it back. Unlike Penny's vial she didn't choke on it. Just as she finished a doll hidden beneath the table fell to the ground. Blake spotted this and quickly snatched it. Hopefully this is the doll the woman was talking about. She heads down to the woman in the master bathroom, still bound in chains and looking like a mermaid.
"Um… is this your daughters favorit?" Blake asked hesitantly.
"Oh heavens. By the gods yes. That's it." The woman said with wide eyes of hope. She then reaches out for it, remarking. "Please, give it to me."
Seeing the hope in her eyes. It compelled Blake. She handed the doll over and she quickly begins rubbing against it with her cheek. She begin crying tears of joy while bubbling 'Thank you' in between the sobs. She and the doll then slowly became mist, leaving the accursed place for somewhere better. Blake was now looking at an empty shower with chains swaying slowly. She didn't know what to do. As she stood there a thought crept into her mind. Penny mentioned Nora and now thinking about it she was acting suspicious. That's when a thought came into her head. A cruel and depraved thought. She raced back to the lounge room, the group seeing her appear knew very well what happen to Penny. Ruby was about to break into tears when Blake done something strange. She raced up to the Butler.
"The hat. The one with all the votes. Tell me. Did you toss them out yet?" Blake demanded.
"No, not yet Ms. Belladonna." The Butler said before pointing to it by a small desk. Blake scrambled over to it and proceed to remove the names from the hat. She quickly went through the names and eventually found what she was looking for.
"… Blake? What… what are you looking at?" Sun asked confused by Blakes actions.
No response came from Blake. This slightly worried the rest, however before anyone could ask her what was wrong, Blake quickly went for the shattered front window and removed a large glass shard. She raced to Nora and tackled her, holding a shard of glass to Nora's neck.
"You bitch! You killed her!" Blake shouted in rage as she held the glass to Nora's neck. Wide eyed everyone stared at the two before Blake continued. "You killed Weiss and then to cover your tracts you voted for Penny hoping she died, didn't you!"
Nora didn't know how to respond to this accusation. She tried to counter but Blake was insistent. The last thing she screamed before the view goes dark was, "Tell them the truth! You killed them, it was you who's in league with the evil!"
Six Little soldier boys playing with a hive; A bumblebee stung one and then there were five. Hello everybody Womabag1786 here… hold on a second. *Wombag reaches up and pulls on a string. Causing a banner to drop along side confetti and balloons. The banner saying "First Review of the story, YAY!"
Heh sorry couldn't help myself. This was the longest wait for a comment. Now It seems things have taken a turn for the worst with Blake finally snapping. Tensions running high, and it seems that the one in league with the evil has been exposed… or is she? I won't say (And those who do know don't say.) Now onto the question and comments!
From Blitzkriege37: Is it? Hmm, let's see. Heh, hardly. I kill the kids off horrible but RWBY Noir. Nah. They go through much worst. (It's a question of killing them off slowly or quickly. Here I kill them per chapter, painfully but quickly. RWBY Noir… well, let's say I got some plan's. One's that would make you question the pro's and con's of madness itself.)
Thanks for writing Blitzkriege37
