I don't own RWBY or Escape the Night.

A Month before the guest arrived.

The view opens in another house a month before the group had arrived. In the house a familiar man was pouring two cups of tea. Pulling up its revealed that the man was the Butler, Author Nut or his real name Robert Brown. As he pours the tea he begins to monologue.

"Before the house, I was a confidence man and I played games with peoples lives." The Butler monologued as he poured the tea. He then looks around before pulling out a small vile and uncorking it. "And of all the games I played, this one is my favorite."

He poured the poison in and brought the two cups of tea to the couch. There an heiress getting on in her twilight years waited for her husband. The Butler offered the poison cup to her and congratulate her on their two-year aniversery. They both drank the tea and moments later, the heiress kneeled over. Riveting in agony before finally dying. Once the poison had finally killed the heiress, he removed a wedding band from his finger and flicking it onto her corpse. He grabbed his tea and moved back to the window. Looking at the lawn that he now owned. Board by his latest con.

"But after playing it so many times, I had grown tired of it. I wanted more." The Butler remarks as he swig the tea down. Just then a knock on the door was heard and a letter was slid under the door. Curious the Butler walked on over and picked it up. Seeing who had knocked on the door he was surprise to see nobody was there. He opened the letter to find it to be an invitation. Reading it carefully a cruel smile formed on his face. "Then the devil came calling."

The view shifted to him entering the estate. He looked around the house with much marvel at the horrors, and atrocities this house has committed. As he marveled at the house's infamous repertoire a sadistic idea came to mind. Using the four artifacts and the houses temporal displacement effects he set to work his master con.

"I was going to convince the evil within this house that I was its servant. When in reality, it was going to be working for me." He'd remarked as he wrote the telegram to Ruby. After sending it out to her, he then proceeded to forge his bird mask suit, rigging the games, and hiring some of the vilest people of the day and age to con the devil himself. The view goes dark before opening up on Ruby

Sometime during the night, in an unknown part of the house. Unknown time till morning.

Ruby was unconscious, in an unknown part of the estate. Her eye's twitches as a flashback shows her and the rest of her surviving friends being held by the house staff. Nora bleeding heavily from a bullet wound to her arm. Jaune being held down with a knife to his throat and blood running down a slit on his cheek. Ruby being held at gun point, holding her broken right ring and pinky finger. As the three were on their knees the Butler was monologuing something in a vague tone.

"I needed the artifacts and the previous owner's gone so I could have this house." The Butler remarks answering an unheard question.

"You… played us." Ruby said in spite before noticing the Butler pulling something out of his blazer jacket. "What is that?"

"Oh, that's the ritual." The butler remarked as he set it down on the table.

"We did the ritual!" Nora snapped in rage.

"You did the wrong one." The Butler said slyly, before pulling out a bottle of chloroform and a rag. He poured the contents onto the rag and proceed to drug the three. "Goodnight."

He proceeded to drug Ruby, with Jaune and Nora screaming her name. As they do, the rest of the staff drugged the two. The Chloroform went to work and within moments the three were unconscious on the floor. An unknown amount of time passed by before Ruby suddenly woke up. Her head was pounding as her vision slowly return to her. She reaches up to her head to apply pressure to it, when she noticed the shackles to her arms. A makeshift cast was applied to her fingers, small comfort but not for the right reasons. She then looked around she noticed Jaune and Nora, chained to these wooden anti-tank hedgehogs like structure. They were slowly waking up, seems the house staff had bandage their wounds so they wouldn't bleed out. Though why was the least of their question.

"Guys… hey, are you all alright?" Ruby called out to her friends.

"Ugh, yeah. Just… just fine… what happened?" Nora asked as she held her shoulder in agony.

Just then Jaune screamed in shock, pointing to a man in the corner right behind Nora. He'd looked like he has been down here for days, and was driven mad. Screaming lunacy as the group began to panic. Memories of being drugged by the house staff came flooding back, and they desperately looked around for a way to escape. As they did, the man became agitated and kicked something on over to Ruby. A box, marked with Neptunes cult. She noticed it had a strange key hole on it, one in the shape of a crescent moon. Looking for a way out they notice these strange dusty pokers hanging around along with dusty boxes hidden under the wooden pegs. Jaune being the closest managed to retrieve it with his foot. It didn't work with Ruby's so the three tested the other boxes. Nora's open and inside was a key and another poker. They repeated this process till only Jaune was locked in by one chain. Sadly the only key they had didn't work with it.

"Oh Monty. Guys you got to get me out of here. Please don't leave me here with him." Jaune said frantically as the lunatic jabbered on about finger sandwiches and butterscotch tea.

"We're not leaving anyone here. Just hold on Jaune. We'll get you out." Ruby said as she looked around for the keys.

"Hey, what's that behind the lune?" Nora asked as she points to a key on the hood behind him.

The crazed man was focused on Jaune so it was surprisingly easy to snatch, however she noticed a box hidden in his corner. She grabbed that as well. She brought both over and sure enough the key unlocked Jaune's key. The last key that didn't work with Jaune was used on the hidden box. While it worked the contents inside was more than disturbing. A pocket watch, used vials of needles, and a note.

"The houses evil, while difficult to explain scientifically, acts as a radius of corruption. Feeding off its victims worst self's. However, I found through multiple trial and errors that a combination of chemicals when injected into the victim, will cause the evil to more efficiently enter their minds an take control. By the time the sun rises at six A.M, the ones who were injected with this special serum shall become mindless and complacent like sheep. Doing whatever the house bids them, thus ready and willing to join the house staff. It has worked on two others, to a certain degree. The next batch I will take no chances and lock away in the basement with the failed subject." Nora read aloud before turning to the Lune. She felt her neck and sure enough there was a small flinch of pain in her neck. "Guys, this is written by the Butler."

"And worst, it's now 5:30." Jaune said holding the pocket watch up.

"We need to go. Find a way to escape." Ruby said as she spotted the door out of there.

The three quickly escaped the room, finding themselves in the Butler's room. Inside were a number of papers, wardrobe set's and a billboard with Ruby's name on it. Connected to a picture was a red string to her friends and family. As if this entire night was planned out. Though if that was the case, why did the Butler leave the keys to their escape? They didn't think much about it, rather wanting to quickly leave this horrible place behind. Sadly, the only door out of this basement dwelling was locked. Quickly looking around for a key. It took them a few moments but Nora stumbled upon something of interest. A black file with Neptunes cult on it. Looking inside it was a police report, including finger prints, record, and living relative. All with a note attached to it.

"Hey guys, you might want to take a listen to this." Nora called out.

"What did you find?" Jaune asked as he approaches her.

"I found a note from that creeps brother." Nora explains before reading it aloud. "Brother, you have humiliated me, betrayed me, enchained me in a dark corner of your new estate. You invited me here to help you clean things up between the two of us, but instead you stabbed me in the back. All to show the wicked presence your loyalty. Enjoy your victory brother, but know one day the key to my cell will be found. And when that day comes, I will repay this betrayal with Blood. I know you've hidden it behind a trail of gems. The first of which lurks beneath the surface of a reflecting pool."

"So, his brother hates him more than we do… huh, that might be handy." Ruby remarks as she scratches her chin.

"Yeah, doubt we can fight any of the staff without our weapons in this condition." Nora said in agreement as she feels the exhaustion slowly returning to her.

"Could be worth the time. Though how can we find the reflecting pool trapped down here?" Jaune inquired. Course that question was answered when Ruby spotted a key hidden under the note. Taking it she unlocked the door and quickly headed outside with Jaune and Nora following behind. Upon exiting into the front yard, an alarm went off and the three quickly raced for cover behind some nearby shrubbery as the staff exited out the front door.

"How did they escape?! I thought you had locked them in with no keys!" The Maid hissed in anger while brandishing a large kitchen knife.

"I don't know how they got out. I left the keys under my bed." The Butler sneered back as he loads his revolver. "Regardless, we must find them, Sarah you take the house, Marvin check around the sides, I'll be searching the back. If you spot them call out or gut them where they stand. I'd had hope for a new Chauffer but seems the game must come to an end."

The two nod and went out looking for the group. Unaware where that they were just below them. Once the cost is clear they quickly begin thinking where this reflecting pool is. The idea came to mind that it was probably the pool in the back. They slowly and stealthily moved to pool where the Grounds Keeper and Butler were searching for them. The process took a lot longer when the Butler turned the corners. Yet they managed to avoid him by hiding flat against the corner of the house. He had just passed by them, when all it could have taken was one look behind. The three made their way to the pool only to find that there were no diamonds there. A few dead mermaids with their corpse victims, but nothing that they had been looking for. So, thinking fast they realized that it could be fountain in the front of the house, after all it's the only reflecting pool they could think of. They backtracked to the front yard with ease. There at the water Jaune spotted a chest on the ground next to the fountain. Cleverly disguised as a plaque. Upon reading it the group knew they had found the reflecting pool.

"Under the water are three invisible stones, Place them on my crown and I will repay you tenfold." Jaune silently read aloud.

"Great, so how do we find these stone's when we can't see them?" Nora asked.

Ruby looked around, trying to find an answer that didn't require them to slosh around looking for gems by hand. That's when she spotted a metal rake by the greenhouse. She said, "Hold on, I think I have an idea."

She quickly raced on over and grabbed the tool before stealthily making her way back undetected. Seeing the tool Jaune remarks. "That could work, just be quiet."

Ruby gave a nod and began raking as silently as possible, looking for three crystal clear gems in the water. After a few strokes she managed to grab the three of them from out of the water. However the third one had her expose herself out from behind the fountain. The Maid who was patrolling the first floor spotted her. She raced out of the house and called out to her follow staff members.

"ROBERT! MARVIN! THERE IN THE FRONT YARD BY THE FOUNTAIN!" The Maid shouted out causing the three to quickly hide as the Grounds Keeper and Butler raced on over. By the time they got there however the three had disappeared behind another shrubbery.

"THERE GONE, DID YOU SEE WHERE THEY WERE RUNNING!" The Butler called out to the maid. She shook her head causing the man to slap his leg in frustration.

"Ugh, idiot. Why did I use the serum on her?" The Butler snapped in frustration.

"Does that mean you'll fire her and me sir?" The Grounds keeper asked.

"Well… no. If I did then that'll be just a waste and nobody could do the petunia like you can." The Butler replies before heading back to the back yard and the Grounds keeper to his. Once the coast is cleared the three got out of there hiding spot and opened the chest.

Inside they found two eye like rubies and a note. Ruby held onto both rubies while Jaune read the script. "The Spirits will speak words, to help restore my evil eyes, so I might guard the house with my wings. Um right, what has wings here?"

The group thought about it for a few moments before Nora spotted something. "There, second floor just above the door. See it?"

The others turn and spotted a gargoyle looking down from up high. They praised her before racing on over to the house. Just as they were about to enter, the Ground Keeper spotted them. He screamed out there position and the three split up. Nora and Jaune raced inside the house while Ruby raced back. About to go down the stairs the Butler came around the corner.

"Leaving so soon? Mistress?" The Butler asked as he leveled his pistol at her.

Before he could take the shot, Ruby leapt over the side and raced around the house, barley dodging the bullets. Inside the house Jaune and Nora took refuge in the Library but could hear the Maids heels moving towards them. They made their way inside the secret room and hid under the table. They held their breath as she walks in and looks through the window. Waiting to see if she could spot Ruby. When she couldn't she storms on out, unaware that Jaune and Nora was under the table. Outside, Ruby had managed to bamboozle the Butler and raced in around back. She got inside and was nearly spotted by Maid as she goes to check the upstairs. Ruby snuck on over, finding her friends over by the secret room.

"Guy's, it's fine. She's gone." Ruby whispered out to them.

"Oh thank the two gods." Jaune said as he crawled out from under the table. "That lady came way to close."

"Yeah, we better hurry upstairs before she comes down from the third floor." Ruby motions while pointing out the sound of the Maids high heels clattering up those stairs.

"Alright, just a quick question. How do we access the Gargoyle again?" Nora asked.

"We'll figure it out once we get up there." Ruby said with a shrug as she moved on over to the stairs.

The other two followed her up as well. They had very little time as it is. They had arrived upstairs when they came upon the window leading out onto the balcony, however it was built into the wall. They could break it down, but that would alert the staff. Looking around Jaune noticed that there were groves on the bottom of the wall, as if it could be lifted. He moved the table that was in front of the window and grabbed the bottom, sure enough it surprisingly work. The entire window lifted up like a garage door. The three quickly entered out onto the balcony where the gargoyle is. As they did, the sound of the hidden door made a lot of noise. Hearing it the Maid quickly made her way down the stairs. Given them very little time. Ruby placed the eye's on the Gargoyle and a secret compartment bellow it opened up. Inside was a small crown, green emerald, and a scroll was found. Ruby retrieved these items and begin to read the items.

"I overlook the back of the estate, and wait to feast on gre…" Before she could finish, Jaune closes the door behind them and hushed for them to be quiet as the Maid was coming down the stairs.

The three pressed themselves against the wall as the Maid looked out onto the Balcony. Had she looked down she would have spotted them. It was an intense moment as she was just over them. Looking around the sides, for an intense minute she finally left.

"Oh thank Monty." Jaune said with a sigh of relief.

"Phew… that was way to close." Nora remarks as she wipes the sweat from her head before turning to Ruby. "So what does it say?"

"Right, um I overlook the back of the estate, and wait to feast on green. A metal spiral of pain will lead you to my table of blood" Ruby read aloud before turning to the two, "I think it's referring to the spiral stairs in the back."

"Yeah, stairs are the worst." Nora said in agreement.

"Well let's get going, sunrise is in twelve minutes." Jaune said as he checks the watch.

Sunrise was coming fast, and they had to act quickly. Reopening the door, the three slowly made there way to the front only to be cut of by the Maid. Nora being in the lead quickly sprinted out of the house with Jaune and Ruby sprinting into the Library to hide. The Maid tried to break down the Library door but Jaune with the help of Ruby had barricaded it with a desk. Frustrated she quickly raced to the door and called out to the others.

"MARVIN, ROBERT! I GOT TWO STUCK IN THE LIBRARY, THE THIRD ONE IS SCURRING ABOUT LIKE A RAT, GO FIND HER!" The Maid shouted out before returning to the door and trying to break it down with her knife.

Outside Nora was hiding by the fountain, she saw the Butler and grounds keeper making there way over, looking for her. She knew that the group was hidden in the Library and recalled they could jump out onto the pool patio from there. So stealthily she made her way to the back. She nearly had a few close calls with the Grounds keeper. She avoided him in a few shrubberies before going to where the window to the Library is. Using a few pebbles she found, she quickly tossed them at the window trying to get Ruby and Jaune's attention. Jaune quickly went to the window and opened it, only to get hit by one of the pebbles.

"Ow, Nora!" Jaune hissed in pain.

"Sorry!" Nora quietly apologies before looking around. "Drop down, I'll catch you."

"Ruby first." Jaune said as he got Ruby to the window. "She's lighter."

Nora gives a nod, as Ruby slowly made her way out. She leapt from the window, and landing safely in Nora's arms. She let her go before Jaune went next. He was a bit hesitant but eventually did. As he does, the Butler had spotted them and open fire at them. Nora quickly dived out of the way as Jaune came crashing to the pavement ground. Thankfully the Butler ran out of bullets, when shooting at Nora. The two quickly grabbed him and carried him away to safety as the Butler reloads his gun. They hid by some shrubberies till the Butler passed on by.

"Ugh, Ruby… next time I offer to let you go first. Push me out." Jaune moaned in pain.

"Noted, now let's get going. We don't have much time." Ruby said as she made one final check to see if either the Grounds Keeper or Butler was watching.

They were not and the three raced on over to the spiral stairs. Going up it they came upon a gruesome statue of some monstrous creature. It had a tentacle like head with a split where the mouth is. While the statue invoked a feeling of unease, they needed to present the jewel to it. Placing the silver crown in front before adoring it with the emerald, a secret compartment opens bellow it. Inside they found a map of the basement and a key for the wine cellar. The basement was a maze onto itself. At times it felt like they were guessing down there, but with this they now know where to find him. With very little time left the group hurried to the back of the house. Avoiding the Butler as they descend once more into the depts of the basement. They followed the map through the halls of the basement, passing by multiple rooms, all of which containing the friends and places they had visited before. Till finally coming to one room that was still locked. Using the key Jaune opened the door to find a row of bottles, and a man strung up by his hands.

He looked weathered, beaten, and bruised, all while having a hint of anger in his eyes. Despite his exhaustion he looked surprisingly fit for a man who was locked away in a place no bigger then a broom closet. He looked upon the three with dead eyes saying nothing. After a few moment Nora asked hesitantly, "Are you, Roberts Brother?"

"… Untie me." The Brother said in a faint voice. "My brother… is a dead man."

The three looked at each other with an uncertain look before Ruby made the first step. She untied his bounds and so did Nora. Once freed Jaune spoke. "Right, your free. Think you can help us get out of…"

Before Jaune could finish, the Brother picked up a rather sharp meat hook. He begins walking towards Jaune who feared that he was the target, however he passed by Jaune. Muttering 'My brother is a dead man.' As he walked out of the basement. The three slowly followed him out as well. They came to the front yard where the House staff were. The three raced up to the porch and watched as the Brother seeks out his revenge. The Maid quickly raced on over to the Brother knife in hand. Despite his injuries, he side stepped her and put the Maid into a head lock. She could only squirm as he impaled her through the neck with the meat hook. After he's sure she is dead the Brother dropped her as the Grounds Keeper raced on over, hatchet in hand. The Grounds Keeper took a swing at the Brother but he dodged it. Going for him the Grounds Keeper bashes the Brother over the head with his fist. The brother fell to his hands and knees but not before impaling the Grounds keeper back knee. With a pull the Grounds Keeper was on the ground and the Brother was on top. He proceeded to repeatedly stab the Grounds Keepers ribs with the Meat hook before ripping his guts open. He stands up only to come face to face with the Butler. The Butler takes a shot hitting the Brother in the leg. Despite the pain the Brother kept on coming, so the Butler takes another shot. This one pierced his shoulder and he fell. But when he did he reached his arm out and implanted the meat hook into the Butlers foot. He dropped the gun and stumbles forward in agony. All while the Brother slowly crawled to the gun. The Butler had removed the hook only to look up and see his Brother. The man he had betrayed, plant a bullet right below his eye.

The three watched on from the Porch as the Brother killed the Butler. He struggled for a few moments before standing up. They were relieved that he killed them, a few happy to. But that mute feeling of relief turned to horror as he stumbles towards them. Out of fear that he may be trying to kill them they quickly raced inside. The Brother stumbles away from the house and disappears. But back inside Ruby notices the artifacts and rituals in the Lounge room. The realization that they didn't had long came quickly to her. With the Butler dead, they need to invoke the ritual or risk replacing them in service.

"Guy's, the sun is about to come up in less than five minutes." Ruby said noticing the clock. She then grabbed the instructions. "We need um, white sand and string. Not black like last time."

"White sand… oh the Grounds Keeper's wheel barrel!" Nora said snapping her fingers.

"Yeah, I think I saw it outside." Jaune said while pointing it out.

"Alright, grab them. We need to hurry or else we'll be trap here." Ruby explain as she grabbed the table and pushed it out of the way.

The two raced outside to retrieve as much white sand they could carry. However as Ruby was pushing aside the furniture to preform the ritual, she spotted something. A piece of paper on the table, the deed to the house. The very same object that was promised to her. She stared at it for a bit, before snatching it. Why she took the deed is anyone's guess, regardless of why she took it and quickly hid it in her dress. Just as she does, Jaune and Nora raced in with the salt.

"You got it? Ok, let's get to work." Ruby said as she pushed the rug back. The three quickly proceed to scrawled the ritual runes in white salt. Before setting the four artifacts and candles. Ruby takes a seat armed with a white rope, Jaune begin to recite the chant just as the morning rays begin slowly rising into the morning sky.

"With the thread of the crimes of your own design, I bind your evil seven times. I bind you from behind, I bind you from before that you'll hurt my people nevermore." Jaune begins as once again the dark fog ascend from above. He continued on the evil fought viciously to prevent it's ensnarement.

"I bind you from the left, I bind you from the right. I bind you day by day and I bind you by night. I bind you from below, I bind you from above. I bind you with your own evil within so let this magic unfold." Jaune continued on as the fog envelopes the room. The relic in Ruby's hand was shaking violently as she held on to it tightly. The evil was slowly beginning to be sucked into the four relics, as it did Ruby dared not let go, but couldn't stop staring on at the idles crimson eye. As she stares, Jaune finishes the chant and forever banishes the evil. "Goddess of the darkest night, bind the presence that haunts this home in thy sacred fires of eternity!"

The evil smoke was then sucked into the idles and there was a calm moment for all. They waited for the evil to mock them with an evil laugh, but none came. The house was now just a house. The evil was finally removed.

"Is… Is that is?" Nora asked hesitantly.

"Um… oh shit." Jaune said as he quickly skimmed through the instructions. He came upon one last instructions, set in the scroll.

"What, did we forget something?" Ruby asked in a bit of panic.

"One last thing and we need to hurry." Jaune said as he gets to his feet. "We need to bury these things, so no one will unleash the evil."

Hearing that Nora scrambled to her feet and search for a chest to house these relics, Ruby collected the objects, and Jaune grabbed a shovel. Within the last remaining minutes of the night, the three brought the relics outside in the chest. Jaune had dug a fairly size hole for the chest and the two girls brought out the chest. They pushed the chest inside and they quickly went to work burying these accursed items.

"Come on guys. Sun's almost up!" Jaune shouted as he poured dirt on the box.

As they dug Nora comments, "See you later evil spirit. Rot in hell for what you did!"

"Yeah. This is for my friends!" Ruby said in agreement as she pours the final bit of dirt on top.

"Never going to another party because of you, worthless, pieces, of junk." Jaune retorts as he pats the dirt with his shovel.

As the morning ray's touched the house, the three fell onto the ground. Not because they were being possessed, but due to the exhaustion of all this running. They had spent the night running around, loosing friends, and witnessing phenomenon's that defy explanation. Yet they had done what nobody could have. After a few moments on the ground, they slowly got to their feet. They could rest but now they had a choice. Either to book it to Vale with no weapons to protect against the Grim, or remain in the estate for a bit. It wasn't a hard choice, they slowly picked themselves up and head off into the Forever Fall Forest. As they walked down the road, Ruby asked.

"So… never going to attend another party?" Ruby asked.

"Yes… Well, least another dinner party. I don't think I can attend one without thinking about tonight. And everything that had happened." Jaune replies.

"Hmm… Agreed." Ruby said with a nod.

"I'd already added it to the list of things never going to attend in a million years, with gun pointed to head… along side tea parties." Nora remarked.

The three gave a small chuckle but fell silent again. They had escaped from the evil, but so many of their friends had not. Thinking back on all of it, a small flashback of those who did not make came up. Sun screaming out in rage as his friend died before his eyes. Pyrrha, life force sucked from her body to fuel the ungodly machine. Ren, screaming out to Nora as he was stuffed in a coffin and buried alive. Yang squirming in pain as she vomits up a white substance turning her into a Mannequin. Weiss, holding onto a posed victim as Sun poured the holy water and adorn the rosery on her Weiss. Resulting in her falling back onto the bed and violently shake before going still. Penny putting the vial of mysterious liquid to her lips. At first, it felt like nothing. Then she couldn't breath. Her body begin to stiffen like her blood had turn to glue. All she could do is gurgle in agony before collapsing onto the doll house. Sun putting a gun to his head. With one click of the hammer was suddenly followed by a loud BANG. Nora shrieked in horror as Sun's body collapses down onto the table. Blake life coming to an abrupt end. The machine went into overdrive, and a voltage over 50,000 coursed through her body. She let's out one last scream before collapsing back into the chair.

Truly this night will forever haunt the three. They take one last look back on the Estate before leaving through the front gates. Ruby being the last one suddenly felt a strange presence. The right side of her face went pale as decaying black veins shifted bellow her skin. It quickly disappeared after a moment as Ruby shook this off and quickly catches up with her friends as the scene goes dark.

Play "Only you" Redone by Leslye Gisell

The view opens along a wall. Adorning the walls were multiple sets of oil paintings. Each one containing the guests. As the song began it begin focusing on the different self-portraits of those who attended that horrible night.

Only you
Can make all this world seem right
Only you
Can make the darkness bright

The first painting was of Neptune. The dashing renegade, bellow it was the name of the painting; Neptune Vasilias as the Rouge.

Beside it was a portrait of Pyrrha. Posing in a Bold huntress stance with the portraits name called; Pyrrha Nikos as the Big Game Hunter.

Only you and you alone
Can thrill me like you do
And fill my heart with love for only you

Pushing to the side were two more portraits. The first one was of Ren, smiling a charismatic grin. The portraits name was; Lie Ren as the Hustler.

Right next to it was a portrait of Yang. Looking Fair and poised in her stance. The portraits name was titled; Yang Xiao Long as the Heiress.

O-only you
Can make all this change in me
For it's true
You are my destiny
When you hold my hand, I understand
The magic that you do
You're my dream come true
My one and only you

The view pulls by four portraits all gathered around in a tight corner. The first of these portraits was of Weiss, who looked imposing in her portrait. The name of the portrait was; Weiss Schnee as the Mobster.

Beside it was a portrait of Penny with and intrigued expression on her face. The name of this portrait reads; Penny Polendina, as the Journalist.

Right under Wiess's was a Portrait of Sun Wukong. He posed in an intellectual stance. The portrait was named; Sun Wukong as the Professor.

Beside the one of Sun was Blake. She was position in a lucky, slightly cocky stance. It was named; Blake Belladonna as the Gambler.

O-o-only you
Can make all this change in me
For it's true

The view pulled to the side with three photo's position in a pyramid stance. However, something different was about these portraits. Rather than posing in a stance accustomed to their characters, they look hardened and mournful.

On the bottom Right was Jaune. His vest was open, bowtie drooping, and he was overlooking a photo of him and Pyrrha during the school dance. Tears streaming down his face with regret, had he known things may have been different. Regardless, nothing could have been done about it. The name of the portrait is; Jaune Arc as the Jazz Singer.

Beside it was a Portrait of Nora. Her clothes were torn, one of the stockings was missing and her boa was smeared in blood and dirt. She was hugging her friend, and crush's hat within her arms. Her eye's closed as she leans over it, tears running down her face. She and Ren had always sticked together, since childhood. Now that bond has been broken and an unspoken feeling shall forever remain silent. The portrait name being; Nora Valkyrie as the Savant.

Finally, there is the last portrait. Hanging up on top of the other two was Ruby's Portrait. She was leaning over. Staring at a telegram, the one that had caused her to venture out. Despite all that has been said, she still feels guilty for it. Had she listened to her instincts then perhaps her friends would still be here. Regret is a funny little thing. It can lead to the darkest holes of despair, one's that not even the light could pierce. However, in this hole, an unnatural force has hidden itself within. As seen on the right side of her face, the cracks of black veins had grown alongside her face. Perhaps she will be able to climb out, or maybe the evil shall swallow her whole. Though that may be a story for another time. This portrait is titled; Ruby Rose the Fixer.

You are my destiny
When you hold my hand,
I understand
The magic that you do
You're my dream come true
My one and only you
(One and only you)

As the song comes to an end, the view stops on one last portrait. That of the entire group at the beginning of the night. All of them, enjoying there last meal. Happy, content, and peaceful. A calm before the storm, though morbid knowing where this story leads the name of the Portrait fit's this haunting sight; The Final Pleasantries."

Hello everybody, Wombag1786 here.

So at last, they escaped the night. Though it seems something… latched on, to poor Ruby. Perhaps it's the evil of the house, perhaps it is something… darker. Perhaps we will never know… or perhaps if this story gets enough likes I'll do a sequel to it… hint, hint. In any case I would like to thank you all for reading this story. It was really fun to do and was a good break from my other stories. Now onto the only comment.

From Crimson Weresloth: Did I stated it was one of the main characters or did I suggest it? (*Que the evil laugh and thunder lightning back drop) heh but hey hopefully this story was entertaining enough. (Least till enough support warrens a sequel)

Thanks for writing Crimson Weresloth.

Well with that done I hope you all enjoyed the story. This was a blast to write and while I had hope it gotten more review comments/questions I'm glad I'd posted. Hopefull it can spawn a sequel.
