Chapter 3: Darklord Cinder the Faunus Monarch
It's been three years since the battle with the killer rabbit. The Vulpeus had made it a tradition to celebrate the slaying of that dreadful Grimm. They also mourn the fallen and vowed to be the best Union in Keyblade wielder history. Ava also made a vow, to find the ones responsible for setting up that deadly quest and bring them to justice, no matter how long it takes.
As she did her investigation, Ava had Cinder and her party go under special training. Ava's fellow Foretellers were against that kind of training but Ava ignored them and went with them. She can't trust any of them and she knows they feel the same. Ava reminded them that the way of the Dark Lord was created by their master.
"Another dead end," Ava sighed and leaned back into her chair. Her desk was covered by papers that had written accounts of who approved the quest. There were so many contradictions that it's impossible to tell who's telling the truth, "I need some air," Ava sighed. She gets up and cleans up her desk. Ava doesn't put on the robes she has worn for years but the black coat the Master of Masters and Luxu wears. She altered the hood so she can still wear her fox mask.
After leaving and locking her house with her Keyblade, Ava's house is located in Radiant Garden, a beautiful old city that she moved her Union to. Scala Ad Caelum is no longer safe for her Vulpeus.
As she walks the streets, Ava waved and greeted the citizens and members of her Union. A lot thanked her for moving them to Radiant Garden. They were getting tired of being attacked by the other Unions.
When she got close to the castle, arrived at an open area that has four ramps leading down a square area that has four patches of flower beds located in four corners of the area. Standing in the middle was an 18-year-old Cinder, her short black hair now has a small pink stripe and her bangs covered her left eye. Cinder's amber eyes still carried the confidence Ava knows her for but she sees a bit of maturity in them too.
Ava noticed Cinder's new outfit. The dark purple gauntlets, pauldrons are scaly but not the tasset and greaves. The cape is black with a red underside and on top of the cape is a dark purple dragon-like tail. On Cinder's head is a dark purple spiky crown. What surprised Ava about Cinder's outfit is the black bodysuit she's wearing. The bottom of her upper thighs and stomach and a bit of her chest is exposed.
The reason why Cinder is in the courtyard is that she's taking a nap on the flowers. She is a Lion Faunus after all. Also, the reason why Ava can get a full view of Cinder's outfit is that Cinder keeps moving around as she naps. Giggling, Ava made her way to Cinder and sat down next to her. "Wake up Cinder," Ava said with a smile and rubbed Cinder's nose.
Cinder groans and shakes her head. She opens one eye and sees Ava, "Hello Master Ava, what time is it?" Cinder asked with a tired tone.
"It's five in the afternoon," Ava smiles. "How long have you been napping?"
Cinder looks away awkwardly, "Awhile,"
"I see," Ava said. She gets up and brushes some flower petals off her coat then holds out her hand, "Mind accompanying me with my walk through the woods?"
Cinder smiles, "I see why not," she takes Ava's hand who pulls her up on her feet. "There's some moves I want to show you,"
"Oh? I'm eager to see what you came up with," Ava said.
As they approached the gates they heard the sounds of battle and spots to guards at the gate who looked wounded. Ava gasped and ran up to them, "Are you okay?! What happened?!" she asked a guard who was wearing an eyepatch.
"It's…the Ursus! They start attacking the gates! Your fellow Vulpeus are helping us defend the gates!" the guard said with a ragged breath. Hearing this, Cinder summons her armour then runs to the gate and jumps over it and joins in the battle.
"They what?!" Ava gasped, "Attacking cities are forbidden for us Keyblade Wielders!"
"They said it's because we join forces with you that Aced deemed the citizens of Radiant Garden are no longer innocent," the guard said.
"That son of a-" Ava growled, she stood up and summoned her Keyblade, "He has no right to make such a claim! Rest now, the Vulpeus and I will destroy these invaders!"
The guard smiles and gives Ava a thumbs up, "Give them hell!"
Ava returns the gesture, "That's the plan," like with Cinder, Ava runs and jumps over the gate. What she saw when she landed on the other side was an intense battle. Armoured Vulpeus Keyblade wielders fighting alongside the Radiant Garden's city guards. Ava wastes no time lending them her aid.
Morale for Ava's side was already high but it skyrocketed once Ava joined the fight. "LADY AVA IS WITH US!" a Vulpeus Keyblade wielder shouts.
Many Ursus Keyblade wielders tried to strike down with numbers or by surprise. They failed every time. She's a Foreteller and despite her size, Ava is a seasoned fighter. She's also stronger than ever due to using the power of darkness.
Ava was not the only one who was dominating the battlefield, Cinder is too. The armour of the Ursus stood no chance against Cinder's Yamato. Her blade cut right through them like it was nothing. They couldn't dodge or see her attacks coming because they came at them fast and hard.
Many Ursus fell to Cinder's Rapid Slash, Judgement Cut, Judgement Cut End attacks. She can think that just using the Yamato was angering the Ursus because how could they be losing to someone who's not using a Keyblade. It hurt their pride and morale greatly.
The Ursus let out a loud war cry in an attempt to boot their low morale. Cinder just smiles at this, she's a lion Faunus, no human can roar louder than her. Taking a deep breath, Cinder lets out a roar so loud that it can be heard five miles away.
Cinder's theme: Holactie the Creator of Light from Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel
Sheathing the Yamato, Cinder raises her arm high into the air, it is time for her to use her Keyblade. Darkness and violet sparks swilled around her hand and the sounds of thunder could be heard overhead, "I'll give you oblivion," Cinder said venomously. A large bolt of lightning hits Cinder's hand.
Cinder's no longer gold and silver and looked like it belonged to a child. It's jet black with a gothic design, batwings serve as the handguard, the hilt has a large dark purple diamond, and a grey chain runs down along the center of the blade. The keychain's token is no longer in the shape of her symbol, it's now in the shape of a crown.
Lowering her Keyblade she points at the invading Ursus forces, "You started this fight, now we'll be the ones to finish it," Cinder charges at the Ursus and is accompanied by her Vulpeus and Radiant Garden allies.
The Ursus have lost the will to fight but they can't flee the battle due to Aced orders. It's either die by the hands of the enemy or die by the hand of Aced. So they stayed and kept fighting this losing battle.
Cinder is not showing any mercy and to prove that, activates her Keyblade's transformation called Dark Form. The diamond on her keyblade flashed and her whole armour turned jet black. Now every time Cinder swings her keyblade a trail of darks quickly follows. Also, Cinder is now able to do a move called Million Stab. A move she can't do in her normal state.
To end this battle quickly, Cinder uses Dark Form's strongest move, Morningstar. A purple light shines at the tip of her Keyblade and a lot of darkness swirls around it. Cinder grabs her Keyblade with both hands and slams it hard to the ground, creating a massive explosion of darkness.
Using Morningstar uses up so much power that Cinder can no longer stay in Dark Form and gets out of it immediately.
The only hope the Ursus has now is for their reinforcements to arrive. That hope was dashed when Vernal, Winter and Ven arrived. All three of them were wearing full suits of armour. Winter is wearing armour resembling those found in her home but with more details. Vernal is wearing armour that is a perfect fusion of a samurai's and a knight's. Ven is donning the armour and using the Keyblade of his fallen friend, someone who he viewed as an older brother, Terra.
Darkness comes out from all three of them.
Now that Ava's best are together, the invading Ursus was soon whipped out.
The other Foretellers soon learned what Aced did. All three of them were not too happy so they had their forces on the Ursus. Aced has always bragged about how strong his Union is. It is high time for him to put money where his mouth is.
