Two Years Later

Jade studied the paintings intensely and saw another one of Astoria sleeping on her side, pregnant. She was wearing a dark green nightgown, her hair strewn all over the pillow. It was unfinished but Jade wondered if that was intentional. Draco walked into the bedroom, smiling at Jade and Scorpius who was in bed.

"Ssh!" Jade whispered, pointing at Scorpius who was sleeping.

"He has to stop sleeping on our bed. He needs to get used to his own." Draco said, taking his jacket off and placing it on the bed. He leaned over, kissing Jade.

"How was your day, Mr. Malfoy?" Jade asked, feeling him slip under the covers with her.

"I'm always tired, Healer Malfoy. All I want to do is come back home and be right here." Draco said, hugging her. Jade gently skimmed through his hair, feeling him breathing on her stomach. Draco reached over, touching Scorpius's hands as he slept soundly.

"Do you want to change and take a shower?" Jade asked.

"In a minute love. I just want to spend a few minutes with my wife and son." Draco said, not seeing Jade smile.

"I have something that I need help diagnosing." Jade said. Draco looked up.

"My help? Are you okay? You don't look sick." He said, seeing Jade squeeze his shoulders.

"Relax. Nothing's wrong with me." Jade laughed. Draco looked tense. Maybe Jade shouldn't have said it that way.

"So you're not sick?" Draco asked. Jade moved her head from side to side, contemplating.

"Not yet really. Just a funny feeling in my stomach." Jade said. Draco touched her stomach, rubbing it gently.

"Upset stomach? It's probably the chicken from last night. I knew it smelled funny." Draco said.

"Hmm…no this started about three weeks ago." Jade said.

"Three weeks ago? Jade, why didn't you just go to a Healer?" Draco asked. Jade's smile kept getting wider and she reached out touching his cheek.

"I thought I would wait to go to a Healer with you. That way you can meet this little fish until then." Jade said.

"You're joking." Draco said, laughing in disbelief. Jade shrugged.

"I guess we'll find out after nine months." Jade said. Draco slid Jade towards him, hugging her as tightly as he could and kissed her.

"When did you find out?" Draco asked.

"Just this afternoon! I wanted to tell you but I had to pick up Scorpius. He was the first one to find out. Poor thing tried to stay up for you but fell asleep." Jade said, seeing Draco grin.

"I'll let him surprise me tomorrow but for now, I think we should celebrate privately." He said, stirring her thighs.

"Draco Malfoy, if you touch me in front of your son, I'll kick you in the face." Jade said.

"I would think you're style leans towards stabbing." Draco said, getting out of the bed. Jade slapped Draco's arm as he scooped up Scorpius to take him into the other room.

For years after that, Jade and Draco ended up having five children. Each were mad in their own way. Scorpius was the first to go to school. Their kids, Jenita, Phineas, Robin, Orion and Sybill Malfoy soon followed respectively. Jade and Draco could never tell what had happened to Fred and Astoria and why they never said their goodbyes but an occasional hyacinth would show up here and there for Jade.
