Chapter Twenty Six

Ruby would be lying if she said she wasn't worried about the Winchester brothers. Things seemed to have calmed down between them now that Dean had finally opened up to Sam. She had even suggested that maybe they should take a break while Sam's hand healed, but both were too stubborn to agree with her. They didn't have a particular hunt at the moment though they were about to hit the road again as soon as Sam finished up in the bathroom. Before she could stop him, Dean burst into the bathroom telling Sam to hurry up and then she knew something was wrong by the way his tone changed. The blonde looked over in concern only to see Sam walk out of the bathroom clearly upset. She got him to sit down and tried to calm him down the best she could. When Sam's breathing went from heavy to a normal rate, Dean sighed in relief.

Ruby eyed the younger Winchester with concern. "Are you alright, Sam? What happened?"

"I had another premonition. It wasn't as obvious as the other ones. I don't know where it happens." Sam sighed running his fingers through his hair. "We can't waste time. We have to go to the Roadhouse. Maybe Ash can help."

Before either could respond, Sam stood up and walked out to the car. Ruby and Dean shared a look then followed him out to the car. It was a relatively quiet drive at first aside from the music playing over the radio. She could feel the tension building up in the air though.

"I don't know, man, maybe we should slow down a bit and think about this." Dean finally spoke up as he drove.

"What's there to think about?" Sam raised his eyebrows as he turned the music off.

"I just don't think going to the Roadhouse is the best idea." He pointed out with a sigh.

"It's another premonition. I know it. This is going to happen and Ash can tell us where. Plus it could have a connection to the demon. My visions always do." Sam shrugged his shoulders.

"Exactly. That's my point. There's going to be hunters there and I don't know if going in announcing that you're some kind of supernatural freak with a demonic connection is the best thing, okay?"

"So I'm a freak now?" He scoffed.

"You've always been a freak." Dean chuckled continuing down the road.

Ruby sighed from the backseat. "For what it's worth, I think it'll be fine. Ash, Ellen, and Jo can be very discreet. Just don't let anyone else overhear you and it should be fine."

"Ruby.." Dean glanced back at her through the rear view mirror.

She shook her head at him. "I know you don't trust them because you hardly know them, but I've known the Harvelles most of my life. Ellen's been like a surrogate mom to me. You know I wouldn't put Sam at risk."

It was night when the Impala finally pulled up to the Roadhouse. Dean was still unsure about this, but he trusted Ruby's judgment. The three of them headed inside. She greeted Ellen then glanced around not seeing any sign of Ash. The eldest Winchester sibling nearly ran into Jo, but was able to stop in time.

"Just couldn't stay away huh?" The younger blonde smiled at him.

"Something like that. Hey Jo. How are you?" He chuckled slightly at him only for his brother to nudge him aside.

"Where's Ash? We need to find him." Sam asked clearly in a rush.

"Uh, he's in his back room." Jo answered only to watch as he pushed by her headed in that direction. "And I'm fine."

Ruby shook her head at him. "Sorry Jo. We're on a bit of a tight schedule."

The two hunters followed Sam to a wooden door in the back with a sign hanging on it that read DR BADASS IS: IN. The Winchesters both knocked on the door calling out to Ash. The door opened a few moments later revealing a very naked Ash. Dean averted his eyes and placed his hand over Ruby's eyes.

Ash smirked at them slightly. "Sam? Dean? Sam and Dean. Oh and Miss Ruby. Hi."

"Hey Ash. We, uh, need your help." Sam spoke up rubbing at the back of his neck.

His eyes widened a bit. "Well hell then. Guess I need my pants."

It was only a few moments later that the four of them were at a table in the bar. A laptop sat open in front of Ash as he studied the hand drawn logo of a bus logo that Sam had remembered from his vision. It wasn't too long before he showed them that it was the logo from the Blue Ridge bus lines in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

"Okay. Do me a favor. Check Guthrie for any demonic signs or omens or anything like that." Sam asked.

Ash gave him a look. "You think the demon's there?"

"Yeah maybe." The younger Winchester sighed.

Ruby nodded her head at Sam. "Just do it please, Ash. Sam wouldn't be asking if he didn't have a good reason."

Ash gave them a look then shrugged typing quickly on the laptop's keyboard. "No, nothing. No demon."

"Okay try something else for me. Search Guthrie for a house fire. It would have been around 1983. Fire originating in a baby's nursery. Night of the kid turning six months old." Sam specified startling the three of them.

He looked at him unsure of what to think. "Now that is just weird man. Why would I do that?"

"Because there's a PBR in it for you." Sam set the beer down near him.

Ash nodded his head sitting up a bit straighter. "Give me fifteen minutes."

Ruby and Dean both glanced around making sure no one had overheard Sam though it didn't look like anyone had. While Ash searched for what Sam had asked for, the three hunters gave him space. Jo pressed a few buttons on the jukebox and a familiar song began to play.

I can't fight this feeling any longer.

And yet I'm still afraid to let it flow.

What started out as friendship,

Has grown stronger.

I only wish I had the strength to let it show.

I tell myself that I can't hold out forever.

I said there is no reason for my fear.

Cause I feel so secure when we're together.

You give my life direction,

You make everything so clear.

Dean glanced over at Ruby as he listened to the lyrics. He really couldn't help it. Jo carried a tray over setting it on the bar. Her body blocking his view a bit. He took his attention off of Ruby and looked at Jo.

"What?" She looked at him curiously.

"REO Speedwagon?" Dean eyed her incredulously.

"Damn right REO. Kevin Cronin sings it from the heart." Jo smiled at him proudly.

"He sings it from the hair. There's a difference." He chuckled at her.

"So, uh, that profile you've got Ash looking for? Your mom died the same way, didn't she? A fire in Sam's nursery?"

"Look, Jo, it's kind of a family thing." Dean sighed finishing his beer.

"I could help." She offered smiling slightly at him.

Ruby laughed slightly as she approached them. "I don't think so. This isn't some simple salt and burn, Jo."

"She's right. We've got to handle this ourselves. Besides, if I ran off with you, I think your mother might kill me." Dean chuckled slightly.

"You're afraid of my mother? Ruby, c'mon, you get to hunt with them. Don't be a hypocrite." Jo sighed.

She shook her head. "I'm not. I'm protecting you, Joanna. One day you'll understand and you'll thank me for it."

"We have a match. We've got to go." Sam interrupted them.

"And even as I wander, I'm keeping you in sight. You're a candle in the window on a cold dark winter night. And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might." Dean sang aloud as he drove the Impala down the highway.

"You're kidding, right?" Sam raised his eyes at his brother.

Ruby smiled to herself as she relaxed in the backseat of the Impala. "It's not that bad, Sam."

"Yeah. Heard it somewhere and can't get it out of my head." His eyes met with Ruby's in the rearview for a second before he cleared his throat focusing on the road. "So what did Ash find out?"

"Huh? Oh right. The guy's name is Andrew Gallagher. Born in eighty three like me. Lost his mother in a nursery fire exactly six months later, also like me." The younger brother read aloud as he looked through the papers he was holding.

"You think the demon killed his mom?"

"Sure looks like it." Sam nodded his head.

The blonde eyed him curiously. "How did you even know to look for him?"

"The premonitions. Every one I've had have either been about the demon or they're about the other kids the demon visited. Like Max Miller, remember him?" Sam glanced back at Ruby.

"Yeah, but Max was a pasty little psycho." Dean pointed out.

"The point is that he was killing people and I was having the same type of visions about him. So now it could be happening all over again with this Gallagher guy." He explained to them.

Ruby sat up a bit straighter. "Then we'll find him."

"Don't know how. No current address or current employment listed. He still owes money on all his bills. Phone, credit, utilities." He said sifting through the stack of papers.

"That means there should be some collection agency flags right?" Dean shrugged.

"None in the system. There's a work address from his last W-2. Around a year ago. Let's start there."

The waitress whose name tag read Tracy finished pouring coffee in a cup and looked at them. "You won't get anything out of Andy, guys. I'm sorry, but they never do."

"They?"

Tracy straightened herself up a bit. "You're debt collectors right? Once in a while, guys like you come by. I don't know what Andy says, but they never come back."

"Andy? Andy kicks ass, man." One of the bussers called out.

"Is that so?" Dean looked over at him.

"Hell yeah. Andy can get you into anything. He even got me backstage at Aerosmith once. It was beautiful, bro."

The waitress glanced over at him. "Hey Weber? How about bussing a table or two?"

Ruby sipped at her coffee and looked over at the waitress. "So are you a friend of Andy's?"

She bit her lip. "I used to be, yeah. I don't see much of Andy anymore though."

"Then you get it." Sam followed Ruby's lead. "We were concerned when we couldn't get through to him on his phone."

Tracy sighed at them. "Look, if you want to find him, try over on Orchard Street. A van with a barbarian queen painted on the side. She's riding a polar bear. It's kind of hard to miss."

After finishing their food, they paid their bill leaving a good tip and left the coffee shop. It wasn't long before they were parked in the Impala on Orchard Street staking out the van. Ruby could feel the tension in the air shift and noticed the upset look on Sam's face. Before she could say anything, Dean spoke up.

"I'm sorry, but that van is actually pretty sweet." Dean chuckled and glanced over at Sam. "What's wrong? You look like you sucked on a lemon."

"Nothing. It's just this Andrew Gallagher guy. This is the second guy like this that we've found. Demon came to them when they were kids and now they're killing people." Sam frowned at that.

"We don't know that yet. Andrew could be innocent." Dean countered.

"My visions haven't been wrong yet, Dean." He huffed at him.

Ruby sighed moving forward so he could see her. "Sam, we simply don't know how many people the demon has visited when they were babies. Yes, your premonitions have led you to two of them, but you are one too. You're the proof that they're not all bad."

"Ruby, I kill people all the time." Sam frowned at her. "The demon said he had plans for me and children like me. Maybe this is his plan. Turn us all into a bunch of psychic freaks. Maybe we're all supposed to be killers."

"So the demon wants you out there using your mind to kill? Come on, give me a break. You don't have a murderous bone in your body, Sam." Dean scoffed at the thought.

"Last I checked, I kill all kinds of things." Sam frowned more.

She shook her head smiling slightly at him. "No, Sam. You kill evil things that are hurting innocent people. If you were as bad as you think, you wouldn't have spared Lenore and her group."

"I.. Thanks Ruby." The younger Winchester cracked a slight smile at her.

Dean looked back out the window just in time to spot Andy walking out of a building wearing pajamas and a long satin robe embroidered with dragons. From a second story window of that building, a woman waved to Andy blowing him a kiss. Andy then greeted a passing man who handed over his coffee. As he keeps walking, Andy greets another man, Dr. Jennings.

"That's him. That older guy is Dr. Jennings. He was the shooter in my premonition." Sam pointed out sitting up a bit straighter.

"Alright, you keep on him. Ruby and I will stick with Andy. Go." Dean nodded his head at his brother.

Sam got out of the car and the blonde slipped into the passenger seat. A moment later Andy got into his van and drove off. Dean drove after him following the van. It wasn't long before the van stopped again. Andy got out walking back toward the Impala which had also stopped. Dean and Ruby got out of the car cautiously.

"Hey. This is a sweet ride. Man, the '67? Impala's best year if you ask me. This is a serious classic." Andy smiled at them giving the car an appreciative look.

"Yeah. She's my baby. I just rebuilt her too. Can't let a car like this one go." Dean smiled patting his car gently.

"Damn straight. Hey can I have it?" He nodded toward the car.

"Sure, man." Dean handed the keys over to him.

Ruby's blue eyes widened in shock. "Excuse me? No. You can not have it."

"Are you sure about that? I think you'll agree that your friend here made the right decision." Andy looked right at her.

The blonde blinked and couldn't help laughing softly. "You are out of your mind if you think handing the keys over to you is the right decision."

"Uh sweet. I've got to go." He made a face quickly getting into the car.

She wanted to stop him, but she remembered how Sam developed a second ability. For once, she was going to play it safe. Especially with Dean still dazed from whatever Andy did. A few blocks away, Sam walked out of the sporting goods store after pulling the fire alarm. At least no one in his vision would get hurt. A shocked look appeared on his face as Andy drove by in the Impala.

"Dean! Andy's got the Impala." Sam called out as he held his cell phone to his ear.

"Yeah I know. He sort of asked me for it and I kind of just handed the keys to him." Dean admitted sheepishly.

"You what?"

"He full on Obi-Wanned me, man. It's mind control." He shot back.

Before Sam could respond, he watched in horror as Dr. Jennings walked into the street right in front of an oncoming bus.

As the paramedics put Dr. Jennings' body into a body bag, Sam sat on the curb. Dean and Ruby approached him. As he crouched down, Dean placed his hand on Sam's back comfortingly. He shook his head and sighed.

"I kept him out of the store. I thought he was okay. I thought he was past it, at least, since he took a phone call. I should have still kept an eye on him." Sam frowned.

"It's not your fault, Sam. At least he didn't hurt anyone else." Dean pointed out to him.

Back at the coffee shop, Andy walked in looking rather upset. Weber was bussing dishes and tried to high five him. Andy ignored him and made a beeline for Tracy.

She frowned surprised to see him. "Andy! What are you doing here?"

"Doctor Jennings. He's.. He's dead." The man frowned more clearly upset by it.

Tracy gasped and gave him a sympathetic look. "Oh no. I'm so sorry."

"I don't know. I..I was upset and I wanted to see you."

She placed her hands over his hands smiling slightly at him. "Oh Andy. Well I am glad you did. I, um, I've missed you. Oh you know what? Some people were here looking for you earlier."

"What people?" Andy looked at her confused.

A few blocks away from the coffee shop and the bus accident, the three hunters crossed the street approaching the Impala. It was unharmed and the keys were still in the ignition. Dean sighed in relief taking a look at his car.

"Thank god! Oh baby, I am so sorry. I'll never leave you again. Hey, well, at least he left the keys in it." He noted still relieved that his beloved car was safe and sound.

"Yeah a real good samaritan, this guy." Sam huffed.

"Looks like he can't use his mojo just by twitching his nose. He's clearly got to use verbal commands." Dean pointed out.

Ruby nodded her head in agreement. "Yeah. He was talking to you about the car and then just came right out asking you for it. You just handed the keys right over."

"Did he get you to do anything?" Sam asked looking over at her.

She swallowed hard before speaking again. "I told him that he was out of his damned mind if he thought Dean would just willingly hand the keys over to him like that. Andy.. he tried to get me to agree with Dean giving him the car. It didn't work."

"What do you mean it didn't work?" The younger Winchester looked at her in surprise.

Ruby shrugged her shoulders sitting in the backseat. "I mean it didn't work. I didn't feel different and my thoughts didn't change at all. He got a weird look on his face then drove off in the Impala. It was like he realized that his power wasn't working on me and it scared him."

"She wasn't born in eighty three and her mom didn't die in her nursery. It's not.. It's not that at least. I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation." Dean added giving Sam a look.

"Hey! You think I haven't seen you three? Why are you following me?" Andy slammed his hands down leaning in a bit as he appeared beside the passenger's side window beside Sam.

"We're lawyers. A relative of yours has passed awa..." Sam started only to be cut off by him.

"Tell the truth!"

"We hunt demons." Dean blurted out. "Demons and spirits. Things your worst nightmares wouldn't touch. Sam here, he's my brother. Ruby's my girlfriend. Sort of. We haven't really put any labels on it yet."

"Dean shut up!" Sam glared at him.

"I'm trying. He's psychic. Kind of like you. Well, not really like you, but see he thinks you're a killer and he's afraid that he's going to become one himself cause you're all part of something terrible. I hope to hell that he's wrong, but I'm starting to get scared that he might be right." Dean rambled even more.

"Okay you know what?" Andy looked at them and lowered his voice in a demonic sort of tone. "Just leave me alone."

"Okay." Dean agreed before he could stop himself then cringed holding his head.

Ruby frowned getting out of the car along with Sam. "Hey!"

"What are you doing? I said leave me alone." Andy used his scary voice again. "Get out of here. Just start driving and never stop."

"Doesn't seem to work on us, Andy." Sam pointed out with a knowing look. "You can make people do whatever you want, can't you? You can tell them what to think."

"What? Look, that.. that's crazy." He laughed at them.

The blonde stood beside Sam looking over at the other man. "It all started about a year ago after you turned twenty two. Little stuff at first and then you got better at controlling it."

"How.. How do you know all this?"

"Because the same thing happened to me. My mom died in a fire too, Andy. I have abilities too. We're connected, you and me." Sam explained to him.

"You know what? Just get out of here. Alright?!" He yelled in a demonic tone.

Ruby shook her head. "You know that doesn't work on us. Why did you tell the doctor to walk in front of a bus?"

"What?" Andy looked at them confused.

Just then, Sam cringed as a vision filled his mind. A flash of fire and a hand holding a gas pump. The vision continued on in bits and pieces as Sam cringed in pain.

"Why did you kill him?" Sam cried out.

"I didn't!"

With his hands still on his head, Sam began to fall over. Dean and Ruby caught him gently easing him down onto the ground. She gently brushed his hair away from her face. Both watching him with concern.

"I didn't do anything to him." Andy assured holding his hands up innocently.

"Sam? What is it?" Dean crouched down by him.

"A woman. She was burning alive." He breathed out making a face.

Ruby grabbed a bottle of water from the Impala and brought it over helping him take a drink. "Easy, Sam. There you go. Did you see anything else?"

"Gas station. A woman is going to kill herself." Sam swallowed the water and then tried to catch his breath. "She gets triggered by a call to her cell."

"When?" Dean moved to help his brother stand once he was sure that he was alright.

"I don't know, but as long as we keep an eye on Andy, he can't hurt her." Sam pointed out.

"I didn't hurt anybody." Andy swore shaking his head.

Fire trucks went speeding by just then with their sirens blaring. Sam nodded at Dean who got into the Impala and drove off following them. Ruby stayed behind with Sam and Andy. The three of them slowly ventured over to an abandoned truck. On the way, Sam's phone rang.

"Hey it's me. She's dead. Burned up just like you said."

"When?" Sam frowned catching their attention.

"Like minutes before I got here. The smell hasn't even cleared. What's up with your visions man? This wasn't even a head start!" Dean huffed.

"I don't know, alright? I can't control them. I don't know what the hell is going on."

"Look, you were with Andy when this went down so clearly it can't be him. It's got to be somebody else doing this." He pointed out.

"But that doesn't make any sense at all."

"Yeah well what else is new? I'll dig around here. See what else I can find. I..Keep an eye on Ruby, alright?" Dean stammered slightly.

"I will." Sam hung up and looked at the two. "Uh, that was Dean. Vision came true. The woman is dead just like I saw."

Ruby squeezed his shoulder comfortingly as the three of them moved to sit on the abandoned truck. They were quiet for a bit. None of them sure of what to say next. Then Andy spoke up.

"So you get these premonitions of people about to die? That's.. that's impossible." Andy looked over at Sam.

"A lot of people would say the same thing about what you do." He laughed.

"But... death visions." He shuddered then looked over at the blonde. "And what about you? What do you do?"

Ruby bit her lip. "Nothing. I mean, I don't know. I was just as surprised as you that your power didn't work on me."

"Dude, that sucks. I mean, when I got my mind thing? It was like a gift, you know? It was like I had won the lotto." Andy smiled a bit.

"But you still live in your van. I don't get it. You could have anything you ever wanted." Sam chuckled slightly at him.

"I mean, I got everything I need really." He shrugged his shoulders.

"So you're really not a killer huh?"

"That's what I've been trying to tell you!" Andy laughed at that.

"That's good. Means there's hope for both of us." Sam smiled wistfully.

The roar of the Impala caught their attention and they stood up. Dean got out of the car and froze just staring at Ruby for a moment. Part of him wished that he could just take her back home to Bobby's where she would be safe from this mess. He knew she wouldn't go for that though. Sam waved his hand in front of Dean's face and the older Winchester snapped out of it.

"Find anything?" Sam looked over at him expectantly.

"Uh yeah. The victim's name was Holly Beckett. She was forty-one and single." Dean filled them in.

"I've never heard of her." Andy admitted feeling confused.

"Actually I called Ash on the way over here. He dug up some more information. Apparently Holly Beckett gave birth back in 1983 when she was just eighteen years old. Same day you were born, Andy." He continued looking over at the confused man.

"Were you adopted?" Sam looked over at him in surprise.

"Well yeah." Andy shrugged his shoulders.

Ruby sighed shaking her head at him. "And you neglected to tell us?"

"It never really came up! I mean, I never knew my birth parents and my adopted mom died when I was a baby. Do you...do you actually think this Holly woman could actually be my mother?"

"Don't know. Tried to get a copy of the birth records, but they're hard copy only. Sealed in the county office." Dean admitted.

"Well screw that!" Andy suddenly sounded determined.

They piled into the Impala and Dean drove back over to the county office. It was creepily easy to get through the office with Andy leading the way. It was unsettling to Ruby, to say the least. She helped the brothers search through the birth records while Andy walked the guard out telling him to go get some coffee.

"Got it." Sam called out holding up a folder.

"Yeah? What's it say?" Dean asked moving over to take a look.

"Andy, it's the truth. Holly Beckett was your birth mother." Sam revealed sympathetically.

"Huh. Does anyone have a Vicodin?" Andy's eyes widened a bit.

Ruby laughed slightly and grabbed a chair guiding him to sit down. "Here. Take it easy. I know it's a lot to process."

"Dr. Jennings was her doctor too. He oversaw the adoption. You have a solid connection to them both." Sam continued.

"Yeah, but I..I didn't kill them."

"We believe you." Dean nodded at him.

The blonde raised her brows at them. "But if he didn't kill them then who did?"

"I think I have a pretty good guess. Holly Beckett gave birth to twins." Sam noted reading the birth record again.

It was a little while later and the four of them had left the records room. Andy was sitting down with his head in his hands staring straight ahead in shock while Dean was printing off the DMV records of Andy's newfound twin. Sam was reading through the twins' adoption records while Ruby just kept an eye on all of them.

"Holly put you and your brother up for adoption. Obviously you went to the Gallagher family. Your brother went to the Weems family from Upstate." Sam filled Andy in.

"Um. What was my brother's name?" Andy asked softly.

"Ansen Weems. He's got a local address too." Sam pointed out.

"He..He lives here?" Andy looked over at him in surprise.

"Yeah. Got his picture coming off from the DMV right now." Dean picked up the freshly printed pages only for his green eyes to widen in surprise when he saw the picture.

Ruby moved to get a look at what he was seeing and gasped. "Son of a bitch."

"Hate to kick you while you're freaked, but uh.." Dean showed one of the pages to Andy.

He took the paper and a look of shock appeared on his face when he saw the picture. The four of them didn't stick around the county office much longer. Ruby sat in the backseat of the Impala with Andy while Dean drove and Sam sat in the passenger seat. The drive was quiet at first just letting Andy's shock settle down.

Ruby gave him a sympathetic look. "So how much do you know about this guy?"

"Well, I mean, not much. Weber, he just shows up one day like eight months ago. Just right away acting like he was my best friend. It was pretty weird. Like trying too hard, you know?" Andy shrugged his shoulders at her as Sam cringed rubbing at his eyes.

"He had to have known you guys were twins. Why'd he change his name? Why not just tell you the truth?" Dean wondered aloud.

She raised her eyebrows concerned as to what was happening to Sam. "Maybe he just didn't know how to approach it. Sam? Are you alright?"

"Ahh!" Sam cried out panicking as he tried to open his door.

"Sam!" Dean stopped the car getting out as Sam opened his door.

He ran around to the other side of the car crouching down in front of Sam placing his hands on his shoulders. Ruby got out of the car and ran her fingers through Sam's hair gently. Sam breathed heavily relaxing as the vision finally released its hold on him.

"Another vision?" Andy asked cautiously.

"Y..Yeah." Sam breathed out blinking a bit.

Ruby handed him his bottle of water. "What did you see?"

"Tracy." He took a sip of water. "He's going to make her jump off a ledge into a ravine."

"What? No. We have to.. she's not already dead is she?" Andy started to panic.

"I honestly don't know." Sam frowned.

"Andy, I need you to calm down and listen to me. Do you know where this ravine is?" Dean looked over at him.

"I.. yeah. I can tell you how to get there. It's not far." He nodded his head.

"Alright good. Sam, you alright?" Dean then turned his attention back to his brother.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm okay. Let's get going." Sam nodded moving to get back into the car.

They all piled back into the car and Andy directed Dean toward the bridge that spanned over the ravine in question. Dean parked the car nearby and they got out. The three hunters arming themselves with guns. Andy got out of the car as well.

"You should probably stay back here." Sam suggested to his brother.

"No arguments from me. Had my head screwed with enough for one day." He agreed with him. "Ruby and I will stay back here."

The blonde whipped around to look at him. "Uh excuse me? I'd be fine. He can't use his power on me."

"Or can he? We have no idea what is going on with you, Ruby. I'm not about to put you at risk." Dean shot back.

"He's right. Maybe you should stay back here." Sam spoke gently to her.

Ruby sighed giving in. "Fine."

"I'm coming with you." Andy made his presence known.

"No. It's not safe." Sam held his hand up.

"If Tracy's in danger, I'm going." His stance was firm and it was clear that there would be no changing his mind.

Sam agreed and Ruby watched helplessly as the two men walked away. Dean grabbed a sniper rifle from the trunk. She followed him to a shadowy spot where he set it up and took aim. They couldn't make out what the other guys were saying. Ruby could only watch in horror as Tracy hit Sam with a large stick making him fall to the ground. Andy said a few words to her then he seemed to be going off on his newfound twin brother Weber.

"Back off, Andy. Or Tracy's going to do a little flying." Weber warned as his brother looked on in horror seeing Tracy standing on the ledge. "Aren't you, Trace? I'm stronger than you, Andy. I can do it, you know."

"Okay, okay. Alright. Just please don't hurt her." He held his hands up and stepped back away from Weber.

"Ugh okay, don't be mad at me, alright? I didn't mean to do any of this. I didn't mean for this to happen. I just.. Tracy? She's trying to come between us." Weber tried to explain.

"You're insane." Andy gazed down at him.

"Don't you get it? She's garbage. Man, they all are. We can push them and make them do whatever we want them to do."

"Are you serious? No..No..." Andy shook his head at his twin.

"What?"

"I mean, you learn you've got a twin.. you call him up and go out for a drink. You don't start killing people!" He threw his hands in the air.

"I've wanted to tell you for so long, but he wouldn't let me. He said I had to wait until the time was right. The man with the yellow eyes. Came to me in my dream. He said I was special. That he's got big plans for us. Wait until you see what's in store for both of us. He's the one that told me that I had a twin brother." Weber revealed looking at his brother in awe.

"No. No. Why did you kill Dr. Jennings and our mother?"

"Because they split us up! Don't you see? They ruined our lives, Andy. We could have been together this whole time instead of on our own alone. I couldn't let them get away with that. No." Weber shook his head.

Dean lined up his shot. Ruby's eyes widened in horror as Weber turned toward them. She looked toward Dean only to see him turn the rifle up tucking it under his chin. Ruby moved quickly trying her hardest to move the gun out of the way. A gunshot suddenly went off and cold dread seeped through her bones. There was no blood on her though or on Dean for that matter. He lowered the gun as she sighed in relief seeing that he didn't get hurt or worse. Ruby threw herself into his arms hugging him tightly. Realization then hit her and she pulled away glancing down to where the twins were only to see Andy holding a gun. Sam was also moving to get to his feet. She sighed in relief again seeing that he too was safe. The blonde did a quick head count and realized that Weber had been the one to get shot.

While Sam got looked over by the paramedics, Andy was speaking to the officers using his power to convince them that Weber had shot himself. Dean and Ruby stood near Sam just observing everything. The paramedics released Sam and the three hunters began to walk back toward the Impala.

"Look at him. He's getting better at it." Sam commented unsure if that was a good thing or not.

"She won't even look at me." Andy frowned as he approached them.

Ruby smiled at him sympathetically. "She's been through a lot. She's pretty shaken up."

"No, it's uh different. I never used my mind thing on her before. She's scared of me now." He sighed.

"Yeah. Sorry to hear that. Hey look I hate to do this, but we really got to hit the road. I wrote down my cell. You don't have to be alone in this, alright? If anything comes up, just give me a call." Sam assured him handing Andy a piece of paper.

"Uh alright. What.. what am I supposed to do now?"

Ruby patted Andy on the shoulder. "Be good, Andy. Use your gift for good."

"Looks like I was right after all." Sam sighed as the three hunters approached the Impala. "Andy is a killer."

The blonde shook her head turning to look at him. "Sam, no. Weber made Dean put his rifle to his chin. He was going to make Dean... Look Andy did the only thing he could do. Yeah he could have knocked Weber out, but what good would that do? Weber would have just talked himself right out of jail. Andy saved Dean and Tracy."

"Bottom line, he wasted somebody. You know, I heard you before, Dean, when Andy made you tell the truth. You're just as scared of this as I am." He sighed looking over at his brother.

"Hey that was mind control. It was like being roofied. That doesn't count." Dean protested.

"What?"

"I'm calling do over!" He got into the Impala.

"What are you, seven?" Sam chuckled softly.

Ruby smiled slightly at the younger Winchester. "Doesn't matter. What matters is that you are good, Sammy. Nothing will ever change that. I promise."

It was only moments later that Dean's phone rang. Ruby was surprised to hear him say Ellen's name. It was a rather quick phone call and soon they were off driving toward the Roadhouse. The three hunters weren't sure what to make of their last hunt. Dean was already scared for Sam and now he was worried about Ruby too. When they reached the Roadhouse, the three of them walked over to the bar where Ellen was standing behind.

"Jo? Go pull up another case of beer." Ellen looked over at her daughter.

"Mom.."

"Go. Please." She watched the young blonde walk away then looked at the three hunters. "So want to tell me about this last hunt of yours?"

"No. Not really. No offense, but it's just kind of a family thing." Dean shrugged going on the defensive.

"Not anymore." Ellen dropped a stack of papers on the bar. "Got this stuff from Ash. So Andrew Gallagher's house burned down when he was six months old. Just like yours. You think it was the demon both times, don't you? You think it went after the Gallaghers?"

"Yeah we think so." Sam admitted.

"Sam.." His brother warned then looked at the older woman. "It's none of your business."

"You mind your tongue with me, boy. This isn't just your war. This is war period. Now something big and bad is coming. It's coming fast. Their side holds all the cards and at best all we got is us. Together. No secrets or half truths here." Ellen looked at the three of them.

Ruby sighed shaking her head. "Aunt Ellen..."

"There are people out there. Like Andy Gallagher. Like me. Um, we all have abilities." Sam blurted out which made Dean visibly uncomfortable.

"Ability?" Ellen raised her brow at him.

She swallowed hard. "Yeah. Psychic mostly as far as we know. Sam has visions. Premonitions. It's.. it's different for everybody. Andy.. he and his twin had mind control. Sam was immune to it... and so was I."

"The demon said he had plans for us." Sam added somberly. "Not that we have any clue what those plans are."

"These psychics out there. Are they dangerous?"

"No. Not all of them. Some are." Dean admitted.

"Alright, how many are we looking at?" Ellen looked at them.

"We don't know." Sam shrugged.

"We've been able to establish a pattern. A clear one. They've all had house fires on the night that they turned six months old." Dean revealed only to get interrupted by Sam.

"That's not true. Weber or Ansen or whatever his name is, I looked at his files. There was no fire at his house. Nothing out of the ordinary."

"Which breaks pattern. So if there are any others like him, there's no way to track them down." Ellen pointed out with a sigh.

Ruby frowned at that. "Does that mean I'm one of them?"

"Can't be, sweetie. They all have the birth year in common. You weren't born in eighty three. Whatever the reason for you being immune can't have anything to do with these kids. At least I can't imagine that it does. If anything, maybe your dad might know." Ellen assured her.

"Still doesn't change the fact that we don't know how many of them are really out there." Dean added.

"Jo? Honey?"

"Yeah?" Jo peeked out at them.

"You'd better break out the whiskey instead." Ellen sighed.

Ruby bit her lip twirling the charm on her necklace. It was a nervous habit of hers. She wasn't sure if she even wanted to mention her current dilemma to her dad.
